My son attends Mount Union. We chose this hotel to have family from 2 states meet up and visit before attending a lacrosse game. The hotel is close to a major highway and has very easy access to the university and lots of shopping. Breakfast had a lot of choices! Mattresses are a bit hard for side sleepers but the rooms were clean and had good amenities (fridge, Keurig). The staff was all very friendly and were doing their absolute best to make up for lots of supply shortages. I will stay here many times over the next 4 years!
The hotel is old and needs fixed up. The floor in the bathroom was cracked and soft in front of the toilet. The floor creaked by the wall walking into the bedroom. We realize help is short these days but housekeeping was in the hall the day we went out. She saw us but never entered the room to clean. Very disappointed in the stay here. Will find a different place to stay next year on our visit. . No pen or info of the area or phone book was in the room either.
The best parts of this hotel are the price and the hours of the pool area. The staff did their best to make a reservation mistake they made better and eventually got us straightened out. Getting the room cleaned during covid was apparently an impossibility which kind of sucked. Overall Ive stayed here before and will again but this wasnt the best experience.
The hotel looks very nice and is clean. You can smell Lysol when you walk through the hall. The room was big and the Keurig one cup coffee machine was a favorite of mine; however, you only get two K cups but we asked for more and they gave us two more. One of the coffee packs were already opened so we didnt want to use that one. We brought our own creamer and sugar so that wasnt a problem. The problems we encountered was noise. The hotel is located next to a Taco Bell and depending upon which room you are in I guess depends upon how loud you can hear the Taco Bell drive thru speaker. Unfortunately we were in a room across from the speaker, so this was one noisy experience. Also the ice machine located down the hall was extremely loud and each time someone got ice we heard it. Someone had a dog that barked close to us so needless to say this was NOT a quiet stay. No senior discount but we did get a first responders discount or they said we did. I have two pending transactions on my credit card for two different amounts so Im hoping the larger amount drops off. When we got there we were billed and then billed again at the end. Both transactions are still showing pending. One transaction was for a higher amount.
Had a wonderful stay. Staff was pleasant. Will return when pool is open. Beds were comfortable and pleasantly quiet in the evening .We will return frequently. Management made sure we were pleased upon checking out. Breakfast attendant made sure all foods were fresh and always filled. Was very clean and presented nicely. Will highly recommend.
Booked hotel 7 months prior for my sons wedding. The room (318) smelled terrible from the moment we walked in. Even with the window open for the entire stay the odor did not dissipate. The hotel was booked so there was no opportunity to move to another room. We would have went home if it wasnt for several family members staying in the same hotel. I would highly recommend discontinuing use of this room until the problem is rectified. In addition to the terrible smell, the carpet was stained in many areas. There were also greasy handprints wiped on the wall above the headboard in several places (you could see the outline of fingers). I have never had a bad stay at Holiday Inn Express until this occasion, it was a trusted brand that I associated with quality.
Stayed here one night in July 2021. *The property is in a central location with decent food choices nearby, and a BEAUTIFUL city park right next door. Theres plenty of room to walk a dog both at the end of the hotel parking lot and at the neighboring park. *Staff was pleasant and helpful. *Beds and pillows were super comfortable. *Not far from NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame.I have found options for traveling with a dog are limited, especially because our dog is 100 pounds. It was a great relief to stay somewhere both clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if in the area, regardless of whether my dog was with me.
I have stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times. It is always extremely clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. Due to the pandemic, the hotel did a great job of keeping the place very clean and safe. Prior to this visit, I stayed here in March 2021. Due to the pandemic, the pool and gym were closed, and they did not have daily room service unless you requested it. I was just fine with that--we stayed about four days and were advised to request more towels and wash clothes as we needed them, which we did with no problems. They came up with a clever way to still provide a hot breakfast with other choices, and sometimes the breakfast sandwiches were fresh and hot, and other times a little stale, but still good and satisfying. The only thing I did not like this time was the price for my room. I usually stay at least two nights or more, but this time, I only needed a room on a Friday night. I realize that Friday is the peak day of the week so the rate is higher, but WOW, I felt it was way out of line for a small hotel in a rural town in northeast Ohio! I have traveled all over the country, to big cities and small, and I have never paid more anywhere else than what I paid for that one night. Granted, the price was comparable to another newer and larger hotel in town, but I purposely wanted this Holiday Inn Express because Ive always been happy with it. Its been my home away from home, but now it has me wondering if Ill choose it again next time. I was also a little disappointed that the gym wasnt at least open by now (the pool and spa tub are understandably still closed). I would still recommend this hotel, but hopefully you will be able to stay on a low rate night or more than just one night to get a much better rate.
Stayed for 3 nights and it was great. Everything from checking in to the rooms cleanliness, to the service the staff provide us. Great place to stay with great easy parking around the building. It made for a comfortable safe stay. Alliance has much to offer but we spent most of time in Canton for the NFL Hall of Fame weekend and it is a very easy drive to Canton.
It wasn’t the cleanest, nicest or most functional but it was a place to sleep without bedbugs so that’s a plus. The front desk staff at night was never behind the desk, the bathroom had blood or something on the wall, the floors turned my feet nasty from the carpet, but the breakfast was good. Pool was broken so we had nothing to do while there….. hopefully they fix what is not okay and make it more enjoyable for the next guests.
The personnel at this hotel were very nice and accommodating as best they could be. The property at the time of this review had gone through 3 owner changes. The indoor pool and hot tub were empty and gave you the appearance and feeling of a low budget no frills hotel. My wife and I were surprised at the condition and what we have come to experience at Holiday Inn properties. We’re not complainers by any stretch of the imagination that said we will not be using this property again.
Although I had a comfortable bed and slept well with a staff that was attentive and friendly, the overall general atmosphere was very disappointing. I have stayed at this facility since they first opened and the last two stays have shown a very big decline in the decor of the rooms. The sitting chair upholstery was dirty to the point I bought towels to cover it while staying. The microwave did not work properly, wall plugs loose so connections were not always good and tight. The lampshades were yellowed and cracked. Really, Holiday Inn? I most likely will not stay there in a few weeks when I return to Alliance. Owners get your act together.
I have stayed at several Holiday Inn Hotels and always have great experiences. This was not one of them. The hotel is ran down and needs a makeover badly! The furniture is outdated and the carpets are gross. I stayed in a king suite with the jacuzzi in the room. It looked like the caulking around the tub needed redone. While filling the tub up I noticed that the tub began to drop and the space began to get bigger, and could see the 2x4. When letting the water out you could hear the tub settling back. Needless to say my wife and I did not enjoy the tub we paid for. The desk was broke and the desk chair was stained. Luckily we were in town for a wedding and only used the room for a few hours.
Staff was nice but when asking about a discount on the room rate due to the pool, hoy tub, and fitness room out of order for the entire 14 days we stayed we were told they would not charge us extra for deep cleaning our room. We have stayed at this hotel for many years. Last year they cancelled our reservations 3 days before our stay and this year the hotel is managed by new owners. We will not be using this hotel again.
Sadly with the current situation in the world with no one wanting to work, it has caused this hotel to be very short staffed and the current staff is having issues covering the extra workload. The laundry is not getting done so our room had one towel to use and they had no clean ones at the front. Also the pool was closed and the breakfast that was advertised was also not prepared because of staff shortage, so the front desk handed out a sandwich or muffin with a drink. I was still charged a competitive hotel rate without what is advertised. The hotels quality and reputation could be harmed greatly because of this, its sad.
Positive: Hotel was clean and quite. Negative: When we got to the breakfast area at 8:45. They we out of a lot of items and we could find no one to get more items for about 25 minutes. Then we realized the worker was outside smoking. Since breakfast is only for 6-10 which is 4 hours.
We arrived to a room with conditioner that needed to be refilled and a broken coffee maker. The lady who welcomed us was nice and later provided us with a couple of small waters when we requested some. The room only had one towel per guest. We did not realize until the next day that we had to request room service. So no pool, no breakfast bar, and no room service. We did request our room to be cleaned a day in advance and it was not cleaned.
We were a little disappointed with the breakfast on this stay. It was not as good as it was 3 years ago when we stayed here then. Coffee was never hot (just warm) and the hot choices was not like before. I know we have COVID and some staffing issues now but the breakfast could have been better.
Some damage in the room that needs to be fixed. Remote didnt work, assume somebody dropped it in the big whirlpool tub. Spacious room. Comfortable beds. Pillows were lacking. Great stay though, really nice having the whirlpool two steps from the bed. Hotel smells great, similar to walking into a spa. Breakfast was grab n go, but the best I have experienced since covid. Pool is closed sadly along with the gym. Some hotels offer reservation for the pool and gym, really no excuse not to be doing this.
Stayed overnight to attend alumni events. Stayed at the property 4 years ago and a great stay. This stay was harmed by new ownership and learning employees, who did go beyond themselves to assist. Key card never worked for the door. Necessities in the bathroom were limited (toilet paper rolls almost empty and no extras). Musty room smell.
Got there at 245 on Friday, October 1st. Didnt check into my room till after 4. Saw the lady in charge of cleaning the rooms come out twice for a smoke break in that time. Went out for that day and when we came back we had no new towels or anything. I understand many people are understaffed, but maybe it wouldnt be so bad if someone wasnt taking a smoke break twice in an hour. And somehow they ran out of orange and apple juice on Sunday but thats more of a how type queation.
The room had a couple of large bugs on the floor of the bathroom. The room was located next to an exit opposite a field, so thats likely the culprit (not bedbugs or infestation). I asked for a new room and was easily accommodated with no issues. The hotel is old and badly needs an update, but the community, in general, is basically the same. Staff was fine, but seem to have the I quit mentality that the restaurants and stores in Alliance also seem to have. Pretty sad for the overall area.
Positive: Staff were pleasant and helpful. Great customer service. Conveniently located. Negative: I was disappointed that there wasnt much of a breakfast, but thankful for the coffee! This is no reflection on the staff who did the best they could. I know that many hotels are short-staffed since Covid.
This property is overdue for a remodel and the management appears to be cutting corners at the detriment of the guests. The TV remote was so old and worn out that the words/symbols telling you what each button controlled were rubbed off. Missing from my room:- Do not disturb sign- Laundry bag- TV listing sheetAlso, the room was in no way useful for a business traveler. No desk. Only a small round table with a very large end-table lamp which took up most of the table top.
Staff missed the mark checking me in. My room key didnt work after two separate sets of keys. I was then advised there is a known issue with new door locks? Why wasnt this conveyed at checkin? it was very frustrating have to go back to the front desk THREE times just to get into my room. Did not like the sink being outside the door of the bathroom. very unsanitary.
We we’re in town from Florida to visit family over the 4th of July. We were told when we booked the room in April that the pool was being redone and might or might not be done when we arrived. So when we got there the pool was opened the day before but was leaking so had to be reclosed. Would have been nice to use but not a huge deal. There was no breakfast as described on website only cereal/and little microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. They did however reopen the breakfast the day after we left. The one thing that bothered us the most was the people in the room on the floor above us stomping around loudly half the night. The hotel was not completely full the nights we were there so didn’t understand why they didn’t space people out more. Oh well when we checked out they did at least make it up some by giving us one night free.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.Older hotel that needs updating but not horrible by any means. Room was clean. No complaints there.Great location off the highway. No truck noise. Close to shopping and restaurants. There are no normal vent fans in the bathroom. The vents are connected to all rooms. Someone close to me was smoking in their room and it was coming into my bathroom. I had to keep the door closed.
When family visits were finally allowed at Copeland oaks Memory Care unit all of our out of town family stayed here while visiting mom. The plusses at this hotel are the cleanliness and the ability of all of us to visit in the evening in the breakfast area. The minuses were the breakfast. I had asked ahead of time and was told that they had microwave breakfast sandwiches, but they ran out. They do have cereals and yogurt plus small containers of juice and a few pastries. Also, the coffee ran out. The sink area outside the bathroom is way too small, the tub isnt comfy, and you can hear people walking around upstairs. They walked around during the late and early hours. The bed is just okay.. Its a fair hotel for the price. We probably wont stay again.
Although I slept well and the staff was great I saw a big decline in the decor and rooms last year and again this year. The lampshades were yellowed and cracked, the microwave did not work properly, the wall outlets and plugs on the lamps were loose so the connections were poor and needed to be fiddled with, the upholstery on the sitting chair was dirty, no plug available near the coffee pot, I could go on. Ive stayed at this hotel since they first opened and though you expect a hotel to show wear and tear over the years, this hotel just says, Owners dont care about me or our guests. I am returning to Alliance in the next two weeks but will not be staying there then. Holiday Inn is my hotel of choice but this one has outlived its purpose for me unless they do some upgrading. Kudos to Cody, Jessica and the cleaning staff.
The staff at this hotel were exceptionally courteous and helpful from the time I called to book my room to the time I checked out. Our family had gathered for a funeral so we were not on a pleasure trip and the staff treated us with such sympathy and respect. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Though breakfast was not being served at this time, the to go bags were adequate and there were plenty of places to get a hot breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again. It is high time that IHG gives this great hotel a face lift for this deserving staff. A shout out to Jenna, Alicia, Kodi, and Crystal (hope Ive spelled their names correctly). They are doing your company proud.
The only issue experienced during our stay was that we had to request new key cards 3 times before we could get in the room. Eventually a staff member had to come to our room in order to get us in and the cards she did give us had to be swiped 4 times in order for them to work. Going in and out of the room was challenging but overall everything was enjoyable and clean.
The staff could not have been more helpful. Jenna, Liesha (?), and Crystal were all great. Very impressive! The hotel building is dated. Updating is planned. Covid-19 has made things very difficult for the staff. They did very well adapting to these new limitations. The price of the hotel was very reasonable. A great value. Clean and sanitary.
Me my son, daughter and 4 grandchildren were in town for a funeral. We had fatice two double rooms a hot breakfast each morning. The staff was very friendly and kind. We received a discount for being there for a funeral. I was happy that the location was ideal near family...I would stay there again, and highly recommend HIE
Was not expecting much from past experience, but we were so pleasantly surprised. The location is great - lots of places to eat nearby. Kevin, at the front desk, was excellent. He answered questions, was extremely helpful and met our needs immediately. The room was clean and comfortable! Although we didn’t use the pool, it is indoor and quite big. We would definitely recommend this hotel! I would just ask that they add a waffle maker!
We had to visit the area because a family member was in hospice and passed away. We were lucky to have a comfortable and clean hotel to stay at with a desk staff that was happy to fill our needs. When our emotions were so sensitive the people there were kind and willing to help at any time. It made a difference to us.
The staff was friendly but we specifically booked a jacuzzi room to enjoy the jacuzzi. It didnt work. We called the front desk and were told sorry maintenance doesnt come in until tomorrow. Asked to switch rooms but all other jacuzzi rooms were unavailable as it was new years eve ( dont blame the hotel or front desk staff for being full). So we basically paid to have a larger version of what is already in the rooms.... a bath tub. The jacuzzi was the ENTIRE reason for our overnight. It was my husbands and I Christmas gift to each other. Really wished we would have saved our money considering everything thats going on. We also had the pleasure of listening to the people in the room next to us be noisy and have people coming and going until 4 am and then hearing them vomit for over an hour. The walls are very thin apparently.
Ran out of limited breakfast that was provided from behind check in desk. Only 2 towels in room designed for 4 people in which we had 3. Asked for towels in the am told they would be brought to the room never came. Asked again told they were in dryer and there was a shortage in the hotel of towels but they would bring them to the room when drying was complete. Never happened. Room cleaning only being done every 5 days of stay.
I stayed at this hotel while in town for a friends wedding. It was very clean though heavy on the carpet fresh smell. The front desk staff was very friends , greeted me as a rewards card member and was quick and thorough The room was clean and well appointed with microwave , mini fridge and nice desk space. I liked that it was clearly posted that quiet was expected from 10pm on. It was indeed quiet. While that was a plus for sleeping the soft and comfortable bed with thick and clean smelling comforter and sheets made sleeping great. Good price great value
The hotel itself is fine. The room was okay. The bathroom left a bit to be desired — rather confining. Parking was a disaster as the lot was not completely plowed. We were told one night to park in the adjacent Taco Bell lot due to insufficient open spaces at the hotel. Overall, it wasn’t horrible but definitely could use work.
Im hesitant to post such a good review of this hotel because I probably would mean that more people will start reserving at this location and then closet to last-minute overnight trips are met with a booked Hotel. We stayed many many times at this location for an overnight getaway and every single time has been perfect. And I do mean perfect. You will not get a lot of noise, you will get lots of attention from the staff, and the accommodations are going to be clean and comfortable. I wish all of our stays could be exactly like this hotel offers.
I have stayed at this hotel several times before, and Im never disappointed. My room was extremely clean, and the beds and abundant pillows make it hard to get up in the morning. Although I was there to attend a funeral, I felt like I was on vacation while at the hotel. Very quiet and comfortable, with all the perfect amenities. The staff was great, especially when I first checked in. After driving for 7 hours and only making one stop along the way, I appreciated the bottle of cold water offered to me. It was a nice touch! Breakfast was tasty, with a lot of variety. I will definitely stay here again!
I was there for a funeral and had made a long trip. I had reserved a single room but half way there my brother decided to stay with me. When I got there I asked for a double to accommodate my brother too. It wasn’t a problem. I went to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned so I went back to see what I could do about getting my other room back. It had been rented si she put us in a suite and brought us a roll away bed. She was very nice and apologized for everything. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was very good. I will stay again.
I have stayed at this facility several times within the past year. Rooms and public areas are always very clean and well maintained. Swimming pool opens at 6:00 am...which is perfect for those of us who like to get some laps in before breakfast. Water in the pool and accompanying hot tub were at the perfect temperature for maximum enjoyment and relaxation. Truly a Zen-like experience. Looking forward to returning!
I have never had a bad experience coming to this hotel always had great greetings Im always coming in around anywhere between 3sm to 5 am when I arrive my room is always ready beds are comfortable and if you need something that they are able to help with their eager to please. Aleays clean rooms nice atmosphere.
The hallway on the 3rd floor reaked of marijuana.
Initial greeting and check in with staff was excellent! Unfortunately due to the pandemic, there was no breakfast of any kind... I think they could have at least put out some packaged food and drinks, especially for the kids... room was very comfortable and seemed clean, until we were leaving,we always check under everything to make sure we got everything and there was some garbage and small items under the bed... just suggesting an under the furniture sweeping while cleaning... other than that I was pleased with our stay!
The young woman working the front desk was the nicest hotel employee I have ever encountered! She was the highlight of the stay. The room was average quality but definitely showed its age (the shower was slow draining, the bathroom tile needed maintenance, etc). The variety of breakfast offerings were dismal (the pancake machine wasnt working and half of the hot items were gone while there was plenty of time left in the breakfast offering; there was only one bagel and two biscuits....all while there were at least five guests attempting to choose items). If it wasnt for the front desk employee at check-in, the overall experience score would have been a 2 instead of 4.
In true Holiday Inn spirit they are as traditional as it comes as caring as it comes and as understanding as it comes. My dad has used Holiday Inn for travel needs for over forty years. I had a friend that fell upon bad times had a fire at his house long story short I had to drop off open bag gifts to the counter cuz he was not there. The young lady behind the counter was super awesome at welcoming me like I was family taking care of the gifts until he could pick them up. Ive never been to a holiday and that I did not like I traveled a lot as well. This one is no different. You will be greeted with a smile quickly checked in. I observed a couple getting checked in and it literally took her a minute and a half to check them in and take care of me and my needs amazing company I do recommend them.
My wife and I stayed overnight at this location, the ease of check-in was nice to start our visit, secondly the hallway on our floor and entering our room smelled really nice(great job!). The room when we entered was super HOT🔥🔥🔥 I almost had to open a window in January for a window that doesnt open LOL! The king size bed was real comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good, eggs, Turkey sausage and yogurt. Plenty of healthy options. The staff were nice and made for a very good experience.
The beds are comfy but the rooms aren’t fully cleaned. We found half eaten vegetables in our ice buckets and we brought this to the attention of the staff. They did nothing about it. When we asked for more towels they were unable to give us any. There was rarely people at the front desk if you needed some thing. The hot tub and pool were great though.
We stayed 3 nights on points. Room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice selection, even the day we got down there near the end of the service time. Had problems connecting to wifi the first night, but was fine after that. We have stayed here many times and have always had a good experience. I find Holiday Inn Express in general always delivers, so we look for the chain whenever we travel. Also like the point system for free nights.
Arrived 8/8/19, departed 8/9/19. Staff was friendly, engaging. Room wasnt ready so we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. Part way through the stay our air conditioning unit quit working. We were compensated by a 50% reduction in our bill. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. Weve stayed there before and will continue to stay there. One suggestion is to expand breakfast items to include fruit and perhaps some variation in egg products offered. Only offer whole apples and omelets. I understand this hotel is going to go through a complete renovation.
The hotel was very well maintained and exceptionally clean. There was food delivery options in the room, with other establishments within walking distance. We got the jacuzzi suite, due to back problems, and it too was very clean and relaxing. The bed was cool and comfortable, and there were all the amenities you could possibly need at hand. I slept on cloud 9 and will definitely return again soon. Well done!
I appreciated the great customer service by the front desk staff. They offered me a complimentary bottle of cold water when I arrived which was a great personal touch after my long drive to the hotel. The front desk staff willingly let me know to ask them if I needed anything during my stay. My room on the top floor was nice and quiet and the cool temperature of the room was great. The water pressure and quick time for the hot water to get hot was awesome. The bed could have been more comfortable. I slept ok but it could have been better.
It was a long drive from NC - the hotel was a warm invitation from the minute we stepped through the door. The rooms were lovely, clean, fully stocked with towels and toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to nearby restaurants. The desk clerk was absolutely charming, the lady in attendance in the great room for breakfast was friendly and efficient and saw to everyones needs where necessary, keeping tables and chairs cleaned and in order as she went. The décor was very attractive and the fall decorations in good taste and not overdone. I would stay overnight at this hotel again without hesitation if I were in the area.
Staff was very pleasant. The lobby and sitting area was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and had two different choices of pillows, firm or soft. Tne mattress was very comfortable and I love the shower head. I actually bought the shower head on line when I stayed at another Holiday Inn Express.I did not use the pool but it looked very nice. The hot breakfast was a very nice hot breakfast that was complimentary. Loved those cinnamon rolls.
If you just want a place to sleep its OK. There is no hot breakfast-just a dry to-go bag. The pool and hot tub are not open. Our room was clean but the bathroom door would not close all the way, the phone didnt work, some of the remote buttons didnt work, and the hair dryer mounting fell off the wall when we tried to use it. It did work though.
We arrived early after an overnight flight and a 1 1/2 hour drive and we were accommodated by the front desk staff, which were always helpful and friendly. The room was clean which is very important to me. The bed was comfortable and we had a very nice stay. Breakfast is the usual that is found in many of the Holiday Inn Express hotels. The breakfast lady was fantastic and replenished items quickly, she would ask if anyone needed anything during breakfast.
This hotel is way way overdue for a renovation. No need to stay here as there is a another, similar hotel in a better location and very nearby. The room and bathroom were dimly lit, the curtain did not close to block out the outside lights, the room while clean (I think but could not see since nothing was well lit) was dark and dreary. The bed firm with a dip. The linens not great quality.I dont ask for much. I want bright and clean, soft crisp sheets, good mattress and pure air.Staff was friendly and helpful
This hotel was chosen for us as we came to Alliance to attend a wedding. I didnt really give the hotel much thought as the wedding was our destination. As it turned out we totally enjoyed the hotel stay also. They were kind enough to let us have the room an hour early so we could freshen up after travel, to attend the wedding. My first thought as I entered our room for the night was how clean and fresh it was. There was nice newer carpet on the floor. The furniture was attractive and the bed was bright white and comfortable. The bathroom looked very clean and attractive. The hotel was very quiet at all times. We slept very well. The air conditioner was easy to adjust to our comfort level. Breakfast in the morning was above average for a hotel buffet. There were lots of choices which we appreciated and the lady attendant was good at what she does and friendly. The hotel staff were all very friendly and handled our stay very well.
Overall we always enjoy our stay at Holiday Inn Express. The staff always is friendly, and helpful. The breakfast has many good choices. Although we have used the pool and fitness room on previous stays, time prevented us from using it this time. There are so many reasons we continue to return to stay at this hotel, some of which are its kept clean, its welcoming, its conveniently located, the delicious free breakfast, the cookies during the week and the amentities such as the pool and fitness room And although there are many reasons, our number one reason we come back to the Alliance Holiday Inn Epress is the staff. They are always the best. We really love seeing the woman who takes care of the breakfast and in the last three years has not failed to recognize us. The front desk staff are always helpful and happy. We appreciate their effort to make each guest feel content!
I have no major complaints about this hotel - however, it is a little dated and could use a few upgrades. The wallpaper in the bathroom has fallen victim to steam (whoever thought that wallpaper in a shower area was a good idea is nuts!) and there were no USB outlets in the room. We stay at a variety of hotels when travelling and have not had this problem before. The staff was friendly and accommodating and, for the brief time we were there, we enjoyed our stay.
Friendly staff, very understanding under my travel situation. I had to rate the breakfast poor but that’s just due to no other option since covid has almost every out of room service (breakfast, pool etc.) completely shut down which I understand the absolute only issue I had is I had to rewash out the jacuzzi about 3 times before use and could see hand prints on the wall behind it as well but other than that no other issues and would love to stay again either on my way back home or my next trip out!!
I recently had to travel a lot for an organization I am apart of and I had to stay in different hotels under different chains. Honestly, this Holiday Inn is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. I felt comfortable and safe, I felt the staff was attentive, and besides staying under a heavy footed person the noise was pretty much silent. The products offered in the bathroom is amazing I love bath and body works. I also thanked the breakfast attendant because this was the first hotel I was able to eat the meat with my breakfast because they had turkey sausage. The only problem I faced was my rollaway bed was not in my room upon my arrival, and out room was way too small to really fit it. Like we had to eliminate walking space to get it in our room. However, I still would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The breakfast was outstanding and kudos to the lady in charge of breakfast each morning - she was very pleasant and kept everything well stocked. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub and swimming pool - perfect for relaxing at the end of each day. The bed was very comfortable, we had plenty of towels, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit!
I will only stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels. While I prefer to be home or in my camper, sometimes we must stay in a hotel and HIE are the best. The rooms and bathrooms are clean....in fact all of the hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciate the three sheet bed. There were plenty of outlets for all of our devices and the desk was adequate. We appreciate the refrigerator and the microwave. I did not use the pool or exercise room this trip, but I am glad to have them available. The safe in our room was much appreciated, so I did not have to take my purse along when we went for a walk. The only negatives, and they are small ones,: We could not get the ac to cool our room, so we opened the window. Maybe the ac is off being that it is late October??? There was a bright light shinning right at our window all night....why??? The free breakfast is very nice, but the eggs were dry around the edges. There were plenty of other things to eat, though.
Starting with the desk clerk very proffessal and caring. We were here for a funeral. The room was clean and had all the things we needed. From the hair dryer, iron and ironing board to the comfy beds. Hot showers large towels.I will always stay with the Holiday Inn Express. Its just the right size its clean and you couldnt be treated any nicer. Very
I had a very clean room with very little noise from outside the room so sleep was uninterrupted. The bathroom towels and bed linens were very new, and smelled good. I had a variety of pillows that I liked. The secret jewel here is the wonderful woman that serves the breakfast buffet and the variety of food that was offered. It is the best coffee I have had outside of my own home in the morning. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.
My three preteen grandsons joined me so they could spend some indoor swimming time. The room felt crowded for 4 of us and we could have used another electrical outlet for their electronics and the coffee pot. When we arrived there was only enough linens for three people. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of selections. The bed and pillows were comfortable and offered a good nights sleep. The room was clean and presented a good appearance.
This is the second time I stayed at this property while in Alliance for a Mount Union visit. The property is clean, attractive and safe. There was always coffee available when I wanted some. Though I didnt use the fitness center or pool, both looked nice and inviting (the few machines in the fitness center were in working order), The breakfast options were plentiful, including for a vegetarian, and the food was good. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. My room was clean and very comfortable. I would stay here again. It would be nice if the hotel could keep smokers further away from the front door, but that seems to be a problem everywhere.
Propert is very outdated. Hallways and room smell like stale smoke. Front desk was clearly annoyed that we interrupted her smoke break. Drain in the shower was slow and pooled around your feet when’s showering. They have VHS/DVD players in the room. Time to update. Not at all what I expect from a Holiday Inn.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that I would receive some upgrades due to being a member of their loyalty program. I was very appreciative, as I was in town for the funeral of my beloved grandmother. I actually looked forward to coming back to my hotel to relax that evening! Thank you so much for making my stay a clean, relaxing and beautiful one! I will absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future!
I have stayed here several times when visiting my daughter at the University of Mount Union. The hotel is located close to campus and also close to several restaurants. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. The hotel could use some updating but is always clean and the service has exceeded my expectations.
VERY clean, very well maintained. The front desk staff was great. They made sure we knew about discounts at area restaurants.Pool and common areas very clean.Breakfast was great! If you like a firm pillow, I suggest you bring your own. The pillows in our room were way too soft and offered no neck support.
Staff was friendlier than I experience at other hotels. In particular the employee working in the breakfast area is superb. She remembered me from previous stays and welcomed me back and was attentive, offering to refill my juice glass and making sure I had everything I needed. The room was very comfortable and the bed and pillows in particular were luxurious which I did not remember from previous stays at this property.
I would recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly. We checked in quickly and made to feel comfortable. We needed a couple of extra towels and they were quickly delivered. The hot tub and pool were clean. Breakfast had many choices. My kids 14, 12 and 10 really liked Carol, who took care of the breakfast area. She was polite and had the area always ready to go. She always asked if there was anything we needed. Great to see a smiling face, she seems to really enjoy her job. We were close to many restaurants. Our trip was to go to Hall of Fame, which was only about 10min away. I would stay here again.
My husband and I got the couple retreat package. It had sparkling apple juice and chocolates from Heggys. Both were very good. We also got breakfast delivered to our room the next morning. I would definately recommend this hotel and this package to our friends. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We also used the whirlpool. It was nice to have that available in our room instead of going downstairs to use the hot tub. We had a GREAT time!!!! It was very quiet and we were able to sleep well and enjoy a little adult time. Even though we had no problems, when we checked in and out the front desk staff was very polite.
I was hired to be the DJ at my cousins wedding, so my visit was a mix of business and leisure. What my wife and I noticed first was that there was no lingering smell of smoke in the hallways or the rooms, which we both appreciated very much. The room was spacious and clean, and quiet. After a long day of driving that was particularly welcomed. The selection at breakfast was also among the best we had seen. Normally its just some cereal, toast, maybe a waffle iron, and prepackaged Danish, but this had biscuits, sausage, bacon, gravy, it was much more than I expected.Everything exceeded our expectation.
We suffered a power outage due to a major winter storm. For safety reasons, we could not stay in the home with our pets. We inquired about pet friendly accommodations and discovered that the Alliance, OH location had a room for both humans and dogs. The reservations were made on very short notice. So, we used our account points to enjoy a free stay in a nice, warm hotel until the power was restored to our home. This hotel is extremely quiet despite being on a very busy street. It was the first hotel stay for our dogs, and they enjoyed it. Thank you very much for making our day!
This hotel was a great choice for us because of the location and also because of the amenities it provided. I especially liked the pool and the wide variety of food choices for breakfast. The room was adequate with the updated sink outside of the toilet and shower area. The safe capability was also great because I could leave my personal belongings there without worry of anyone stealing them. Overall a great experience, I cant wait until the next time.
Was in the area for a wedding and needed a place to stay. The Holiday Inn in Alliance was conveniently located and had a great price. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, and I slept like a baby...the bed had a great balance of firmness and softness. I did not have a chance to use the pool, but it looked great. Also did not take advantage of breakfast, so cant comment on that. Had a great experience and would recommend this hotel to others.
I was in Alliance for 3 nights from out of town to visit my very frail elderly parents and needed a relatively low cost but clean, comfortable room. The room felt relatively clean, was very quiet and the bed and bedding very comfortable. I appreciated the varied breakfast offerings and friendly breakfast service. Only complaint is the cost- was not expecting the “Bed/Occupancy Room Tax”, (whatever that means). Don’t think I would have left a tip if I would have known of this tax. Will seek less expensive lodging the next time.
My family of 5 recently stayed at this hotel over New Years Eve. There is not one thing in which I could really complain about that bothered us. Check in was fast, simple, and friendly. They even gave us a bottle of water. The Room was extremely clean and up to date with extremely nice beds, pillows, sheets, furniture, lcd tv. The pool hours were great and it was clean with plenty of towels. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and tons of options with a very friendly attendant. This stay was so great that I am trying going to try to reach out to the manager to see if I could get a hold of 2 of the firm pillows that they use. These pillows were the best part of our trip! I hope they will help us out because searching for the perfect pillow seems to be a lifelong challenge. Thank you for your great service guys!God Bless,
From the first check in here the staff was always friendly and helpful whenever I needed. Always smiling and going the extra mile to always make you feel at home. Absolutely love this hotel and will miss staying here. The men and women working here are truly appreciative of their customers. Ive been staying in hotels for the past 20 years all around the country almost every week and this hotel is my absolute favorite. I truly cant say enough great things about the fine folks at this location.
Overall stay was good. Needs some maintenance. Bathtub must have previously been painted as is was cracked and peeling. Bed was not comfortable, felt broke down and saggy. Otherwise decent property to stay at. A different bed would have made a huge difference in my review
It appears you had contracted workers that were staying at the hotel and they were running through the hall all night, doors slamming and I couldn’t sleep. The bathtub was disgusting so I was unable to shower. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The room above me must have had a wrestling event as it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. I presume they had a jacuzzi tub as water ran for 20 minutes and it sounded like water was running in my room, making it impossible to sleep. Honestly, the worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever stayed at and I will stay at the Hampton next time I’m in Alliance.
We reserved a suite, but only got a regular room. No waters in room, all pop machines where sold out of water, only one machine would dispense pop, elevator was down, if u needed something to drink you had to walk up to floors . But if we wouldve reserved the room we got then it wouldnt been that bad. The room was clean , the bed was nice, the bathroom shower was good. The tv remote is from 1980s with no buttons for menu tho. Only issues was not the room we ordered, couldnt get a drink, and elevator which I know they have no power over that
We really enjoyed our visit. It was the second time we stayed at HI Express in Alliance and it was just as good the second time. The room was clean and spacious. The temperature was just right. Usually my husband is too cold and I’m too warm but we were both very comfortable. The pool was great, very clean. The breakfast was really good, fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and professional. We will be back!
Ive stayed at this Holiday Inn Express twice now and Im confident in saying that it is one of my favorites. Sure Ive stayed in some that were a bit more fancy, bigger, newer...but they dont come close to the comfort and charm you get at thos Alliance Holiday Inn Express. Not one employee was anything less than hospitable. ALL employees were super friendly, willing to help, accommodating, informative and welcoming. The rooms are decent especially with a member upgrade. The hotel itself has a special charm that is welcoming, relaxing and gives you a feeling that you belong there. This hotel also offers a few special touches that some do not. Even the extra peppermint mocha coffee creamer they had out for the winter season made it memorable. This HIE also offers you a beautiful pool area with a JACUZZI! Enjoy the luxury of spacious rooms that offer a whirlpool tub upgrade, small kitchenette area and a large desk perfect for any type of travel. I love this hotel, truly a place where you can experience the true meaning of hospitality!
A great place to rest your head away from home. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly. Great breakfast bar. I highly recommend this Pet Friendly hotel. Only improvement that would be nice is to have more recognition of IHG card holders. Other hotels we have stayed at will recognize and thank IHG card holders for their loyalty to the Brand Holiday Inn when checking in, and offer upgrades, or small tokens of appreciation, like trail mix or bottled water.
The internet booking was fast and stress free. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately even though the staff person was involved in another task. Check in was smooth and quick. The room was more than adequate; it was spacious and clean. The refrigerator was well stocked with soda and complimentary bottled water. The bathroom had more than an adequate supply of clean, fresh linens. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with a large variety of food to choose from. The staff was very courteous and helpful and check out was very fast and efficient.
Was back in Beloit to attend a family wedding. The Holiday Inn Express was a very good place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean; all was in working order and very comfortable and quiet. I thought the price was a little high for the type of property it was, but was in-line with other hotels of this catagory in Canton; the desk clerk when we checked in seemed unclear about future reservations at that hotel and could not answer our questions but directed me to talk to the clerk who would arrive in the morning. (I did talk with the desk clerk in the morning and everything was in order for a seamless stay. She was very helpful.)The breakfast hostess was outstanding: kind, helpful, funny, and just the right person for that job. She had a spirit of hospitality which made breakfast an event to look forward to! Thank you for hiring this amazing representation of Holiday Inn hospitality.
The hotel was clean, quiet, and has excellent amenities. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The bed was my favorite part! I fell right to sleep! Basic breakfast, but the kitchen staff were so kind and attentive. The pool and spa were great and they had impressive accommodations for the disabled. I literally have no negative comments!
Our room was perfect, the Jacuzzi in the room was awesome. The room had every amenity you could need including DVD player and safe. I was very impressed. The bed was very comfortable and the free hot breakfast was fabulous. My husband and I came for a romantic getaway and it was perfect.
You definitely get a good nights sleep there, carpets need cleaned in rooms, lots of stains. Its nice to have a breakfast every morning, but with basically the same things day in and day out. Ive been staying at these hotels for the last couple of years and the breakfasts havent changed at all.
My husband and I like to experience different hotels with nice tubs and clean rooms. We were very pleased with our stay at this holiday Inn express. We called at the last minute and were able to get the room we wanted at a discounted price, which was a nice surprise! Front desk staff member was a sweetheart and we had a wonderful night away. We plan to return in the very near future.
From the moment we entered the doors of the Alliance Holiday Inn until we checked out the service and experience was outstanding. The front desk upgraded us and checked us in early. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the lady working the breakfast bar was friendly and helpful. Check out was very easy. After we checked out and left, we went back a couple of hours later to ask to use their phone book. The front desk even assisted in finding the number and address for us. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
We had another FANTASTIC stay and just wanted to thank you all for doing such an AWESOME job. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has a delicious breakfast. Crystal checked us in and Cody checked us out and they were both very friendly and helpful. I also wanted to mention Alyssa in housekeeping as she was very courteous to me and my family. Keep up the good work!! And, thanks again!!
It is really hard these days to find an establishment willing to take pets, and when you do, they are not that attractive or clean. The Holiday Inn express in Alliance I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very clean and quiet, and the establishment is up to date in its appearance.
Staff is always friendly and works with you to give you the best service ever!! Like to mention Paige and Ashley were extremely friendly and helpful. The woman who prepares breakfast is also fantastic and a great attribute to the hotel. These workers make the stay there easy and enjoyable. Because of them, its a 5 star place to stay!! Comfortable and clean rooms, and great breakfast. Nice pool also. Very welcoming!!
We went to Alliance for a surprise anniversary party. I did my research on-line for places to stay and this location seemed to be the best. We concur. We couldnt have been more pleased with the accommodations, the staff, the service and the breakfast. Everyone there greeted you with a smile and a genuine hello. We requested extra pillows and they were delivered quickly to our room. The food was quite good and an impressive breakfast buffet that was constantly attended to. We used the exercise room twice, and while that was sparsely furnished, it worked for our schedule. We were there for three nights and would return in a heart beat. The value was terrific.
The beds were comfortable and the fridge was very cold. The hotel didn’t seem very clean at all. Stains that looked like bodily fluid on the chair was probably the grossest part of the visit. The floor felt like it was unstable in the bathroom and in the elevator. Did not enjoy this hotel.
Seems to be party central. Had to call front desk because of noise, it never stopped. Had to ask for another room after about an hour. Party goers in the front lobby on check in, they werent unruly but were still around after we had to get another room, like 2 hours later long after 10 p. The second room wasnt the king we had booked. Front desk seemed overworked and overwhelmed. The signs all over talked about quiet time, total lie. Cracks in trim in bathrooms, stains on carpets. For the price I would much rather stay somewhere else.
I love staying at the Holiday InnExpress in Alliance Oh. The hotel staff is welcoming and courteous. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. It really is a blessing to stay somewhere that cares about cleanliness during these times of Covid. I recommend this hotel!
The cleaning staff were excellent. The front desk staff, not so much. Booked a room in advance at a lower rate and hotel charged higher rate. No attempt to contact me regarding the rate change was made. I love Holiday IN hotels and this was a very disappointing trip. The room booked was for non-smoking and only a hand rail. The room given was one for a person that needed wheel chair access. The bathroom floor was wet after every shower (ewwww). This just was not a great experience at all.
The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I stay here for training and everyone has always made me feel welcome. Anything that I need, the staff is there to help with me. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast is better than most other places I’ve stayed.
Our overall stay was wonderful. The facility was clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly and courteous. We were visiting with friends so we did not use the pool, gym, or otber amenities the hotel offered, but we did see some small children enjoying the pool. But when we entered our room just down the hall we could not hear them.
The staff was very accommodating and the room was very clean and comfortable. I booked the room for a friend and his son because I only sleep in HI Express hotels anymore because its the best bang for the buck. Ive stayed at supposedly nicer places and ended up spending the rest of the nights on that trip at HI Express because the rooms dont compare. My friend was very impressed and stated that he always stayed at a cheaper place but said hell be staying at HI Express from now on too.
We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. We were able to relax as a family. The rooms are very clean and maintained. All of the staff that we encountered were very helpful. We look forward to staying here in the future as it is conveniently located close to the campus of Mount Union.
The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk was extremely helpful when I had a mechanical issue with my vehicle and pointed me to a great repair shop down the street. The staff is always friendly and easy to talk to. This was my third time staying here and my second Friends of Pat Weekend. This event is a gathering of like minded people who get together to honor the memory of a great instructor. As always, the Holiday Inn Express in Alliance went over and above what they are required to do. A framed picture of Pat Rogers was placed in the lobby for all those arriving to see. They made a large banner and hung it outside for everyone in attendance to sign. They had gummy bears, gummy worms and cookies in the lobby and had a cake made for Friday night with an EAG class photo on top.The fact they started breakfast early and set tables and chairs up outside shows they care about the people who attend training at Alliance. They truly miss Pat and I always run into someone there that remembers him. It takes a special place to deal with people like us. The only thing I would change about the suite, a TV you can see from the jacuzzi and the couch.
Our family of 4 and our dog enjoyed our stay at this hotel mostly because the staff was so friendly and helpful. They were available when we needed something and went out of their way to acknowledge us as guests. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. We especially enjoyed the pool area. Overall I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Alliance Ohio.
Bear Spalding always enjoys staying at the Holiday Inn Express In Alliance . . . one of his favorite hotels in the Great State of Ohio. Thanks to Jenna and Crystal and company for running a tight ship and for facilitating a clean and comfortable environment during our tour stop!!!
Thank you Chloe for your warm smile at the desk! Only negative we have is that the coffee pot was empty in the breakfast area Saturday morning and it took quite some time during breakfast to get it refilled. The breakfast nook was not busy either. The lady attending the area was a little quiet and not too happy about filling it back up. Other wise all was great. Maybe she had a bad week, not sure but I like to see more happiness in the morning. We did get coffee and it was good coffee so all is well, right!
Please refer to other remarks. As I have been very detailed in my remarks. Hopefully the next visit will be much more as expected. We come to Ohio to visit family and friends and this location is always our go to location as it is locatedn Very sad that they didnt stay on top of things during covid.
Spent the extra $20 to get the room with a private jacuzzi. Super relaxing and a perfect getaway without having to go too far. Place was clean and staff was nice. Breakfast was acceptable not exceptional. Everything was just about luke warm wether it was supposed to be hot or supposed to be cold.
The staff was very good. The property was very well lit and well maintained. The lobby and room were furnished well and clean. Breakfast was fair. The shape of the suite was an L shape and the TV could not be seen from the couch which seemed to be in a cave also no windows in the couch area. The heater / aircontitionet are common in smaller hotel rooms are very loud and not easily adjustable. I woke up freezing some nights.
The staff was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was above average as hotel breakfasts go with biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage, cereal, eggs of some variety, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, breads, etc. the only suggestion I would have to Holiday Inn would be an outdoor sitting area or patio area. Our group sat outside the hotel each night and it would have been nice to have a designated sitting our lounge area outside.
This hotel is not really that bad, it is just simply old. The one and only thing that could make it better is to improve the breakfast. My hatred for the scrambled eggs is real. They had the same thing out for like 5 days in a row. I couldnt do it more than 3 days in a row so I went out for brekkie instead. Not worth the same price as a newer Holiday Inn Express.I only stayed here, and would only stay here again, for the IHG points. I am saving up for $1500 in gift cards
Crystal did an excellent job checking us in. She offered an upgrade. The room was wonderful. Thanks so much. The next time we stay, I will consider booking the same room. We stay at the Alliance Holiday Inn a couple of times a year when visiting family in the area. The hotel is always clean and welcoming.
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Alliance many times. The upgraded rooms are lovely with detail to increased electrical outlets/ USB outlets and comfortable beds and room arrangement. The lovely lady at breakfast greets you with a smile and a warm breakfast which is constantly replenished. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Booked for 1 night, and ended up staying 4. Did not use the pool/exercise area, but did partake of the breakfast daily. We thought the variety and taste were very good for a continental buffet. I did have a problem with the security access card, but that was my fault. I put it in my shirt pocket next to my Amex card. Credit cards will erase the data on these security access cards.I really appreciated the help from the front desk on extending our stay, and our room rate. When they found out why we were there, they were able to give us a better rate. At the time, it was really appreciated. Their courtesy is why I am currently booking another stay at this hotel.
Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly. They informed me of things nearby going on for my family to do. Also the room was very clean. The only complaint I have is the amount of chemicals in the hot tub faded our bathing suits. The staff working during breakfast were also very welcoming. The breakfast was great & loved that it was free. Will recommend this hotel anytime.
The three-day stay was perfect from start to finish. It was close to campus, offered a quiet environment for rest and relaxation. The breakfasts were fantastic and the staff was cooperative, friendly and quite professional. The room rate was affordable and appreciated. Checkout was a breeze! Thank you.
I had called everywhere for a hotel that had a jacuzzi in tje room as I have back priblems and find it relaxing. This hotel was the only reputable one that did. Being able to relax in a hot jacuzzi and watch tv was awesome. The staff wefe great, the hotel was clean and neat. Overall the experience was excellent and I would stay again. Even the room rate was good.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Alliance, OH and was very pleased with our accommodations. The hotel all the amenities that you would want: swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Also, the morning breakfast was very good and had more selections than I expected. Also, the eggs were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the breakfast instead of going out. Also, when we checked in we were given a 10% discount at some of the surrounding restaurants. We certainly used that. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend.
Everyone was great! The front desk and housekeeping crew were all super friendly and pleasant. (And very nonjudgmental about me repeatedly locking myself out of my room over the course of only three days) I appreciated the treadmills in the finess area, and also the breakfast options were pretty robust. 10/10
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Alliance and all in all it was a very good experience. My only difficulty was that I need a firm bed and found the beds in our room too soft. I tried both beds and neither worked for me; but, for someone else might like a softer bed which would work for them. A bigger TV would have been nice but overall the room had everything we needed: coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
My Daughter got Married in July 27th! I asked Cody to make sure the room (227) was cleaned for the Newlyweds! The room was not cleaned at all! I had to clean it myself because housekeeping had left for the day! I was Very upset because I was missing her reception because I had to clean the room! I called on Monday and spoke to the Manager Jenna and complained about the room not being clean after I personally asked them to clean it! Jenna was Very Rude and Nasty! Because I complained about the job cleaned room, Jenna Banned me from staying at this Hotel in Alliance for any future stays! Jenna also told me I couldnt go over her head! Like she was the Owner! I will never stay there again!
We were in town for a family event. The Holiday Inn Express was a good location for our family. The beds were comfortable. We had trouble with our room key and the front desk tried to fix it twice. We finally just resorted to using one of the two keys - whichever one would open the door on any given day. Breakfast is average quality. The pancake machine is novel, but the texture is like rubber.
I was extremely impressed with the staff at this location. Codi was my first encounter after arriving later than the rest of my group. She was able to tell me where they were, and she spoke like a old friend, not like she was just doing her job. Breakfast in the morning was amazing! I didn’t catch her name, but the lady who brought out the fresh biscuits, asked one customer if she could get some biscuits and gravy for him. She came around and asked our group if she could get us anything. It was like we were in her house, not hotel patrons. This staff just made the stay! Kudos for the hard work Alliance team!
My favorite Holiday Inn Express. The pool opens at 6:00 am...ideal for those who like to practice the Zen of Swimming before breakfast...and the hot tub is the quietest I have ever experienced. The hot breakfast buffet was very accommodating to my bear-like appetite...with two kinds of omelets, pork and turkey sausage, bacon, pancakes and a variety of other choices. Looking forward to returning!
I was expecting a hot tub, but it had not worked in months I was told and the pool needed chemicals changed since it was not clear. When I got to the room there was a nasty old dirty towel in the tub. Other than that the stay was great, friendly staff, decent breakfast, and big beds and chair. Breakfast was hot and choices good, but could use pastries and chocolate milk added. Nice clean rooms. Could hear people in halls above but no noise in rooms.
The HIX is the go to hotel in Alliance. They go over and above to accommodate our events and our unique group of attendees. They have built a covered area outside that allows our group to meet outside after events and socialize without bothering other guest. The hospitality is second to none. Rooms are clean, even under the chairs! Their breakfast is always a hit and the breakfast attendant is always great and remembers us. I have stayed at this hotels multiple times and they impress me each time. All the employees are great to work with and solve problems when they arrive.
Ive stayed in highly advertised, highly overpriced hotels in the Tampa Bay, Orlando areas. I live in Florida. Beautiful buildings, expensive restaurants amazing landscape designs and decent polite employees is what I was accustomed to and accepted as the standard. I drove to Alliance, Ohio to attend sons college graduation and stayed in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The most accommodating and friendliest staff, biggest best tasting free breakfast bar, breakfast host was magnificent and even offered seconds while we were sitting and offered take away food boxes to room. Rooms immaculate, clean sheets still with that just washed and dried smell still lingering. Shower caps for for the ladies & and a folded card that offered free toothbrush toothpaste lotions soaps etc. is a phone call away. I could continue but my minimum has been reached. Im blown away. My party of 7 was as well. Holiday Inn top notch!
We highly recommend this hotel for quality, service, comfort, cleanliness, excellent breakfast, friendliness of the staff and so much more. You will have no regrets staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Alliance, OH. I would also like to make special mention of Jamie in the cleaning staff. She went above and beyond her call of duty to be friendly to us and make us feel welcome. We usually dont run into the cleaning staff when we come, but I am so glad we did this time because we got to meet Jamie and her kindness was unforgettable. Thanks so much!!
We were in town for my Fathers last days at Alliance Community Care. We then came back a few weeks later for his Funeral. During our stay the staff was friendly. Carol, who was serving breakfast, was very sweet and came over to say hello. During our conversation I explained the reason for our visit and that I had also just found out that my Fathers home was going to be sold on the courthouse steps in 20 days. The family had no idea. Now we were not only loosing our Father and trying to make arrangements for his passing, but trying to get the contents of his home taken care of quickly. She was so quick to help, she notified the staff and put up flyers around town for us. We were able to get everything boxed up and sell what we needed to in the time frame we had. During such a difficult time for us she was just the Angel that we needed. Alliance is a very special town and the staff is part of that community. A small town mentality wilth a genuine willingness to help each other. Qualities that are very hard to find these days. A big warm thank you to all of the staff at that hotel.
While the hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. I found it to be over priced for the area. When we arrived there was a childrens swimming class or something going on with quite a lot of children in the pool. No room for paying customers. Breakfast was well stocked, except the eggs tasted like powdered ones. The breakfast help were very loud discussing there personal business. I have stayed in quite a few Holiday Inns and this is the only one I have had problems with.
THe hotel was very clean. The room was very quiet and the internet service was like being at home. The staff at the front desk, I believe Katy was her name, was very cheerful and friendly.. and seemed to be a hard working dedicated employee.. she was at the desk until 8pm...had class ata local college and back at the desk the next morning at 7:30 am ..just as friendly and cheerful as the previous evening...nice to see that drive in a young person these days..

2022-05-10Our stay was great. The front desk staff was excellent. Breakfast was great and had a lot of options. The room was a little dusty, but overall the place was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the our key cards stopped working after one use, so we had to make many trips to the front desk to have our keys replaced. Overall we had a great stay.

2022-05-12There are several room styles.I stayed in the 1 King bed room. It had a jacuzzi in the room. It was mostly clean (a little trash behind the counter and the bathroom could use a little extra scrubbing in the corners, but otherwise very clean). The bed was comfortable. The temperature control is a little older (no thermostat, just a knob ranging from very hot to very cold) but works okay. I like the room pretty cold when I sleep and at full blast it seemed to struggle to get it in my comfort zone (not sure how it will do on a hotter night). Room also had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with kcups. Service was friendly. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good. Also had a pool.

2022-05-11This stay was just a stop in between two spots and it served its purpose perfectly. The staff was great and facility exactly as expected for a Holiday Inn Express. I recommend you make the trip to Silver Park and the Glamorgan Castle on the Mount Union Campus. Alliance seems like a very nice town and we enjoyed our time there.

2022-04-28I would recommend this hotel. We were greeted by a friendly and efficient woman at the front desk. The room was clean & comfortable. They are a dog friendly hotel! We wanted to stay here on the way home but they were booked! I understand why! I would stay here again.

2022-01-16I booked a room as a fun night out for my kids so they could go swimming. I wish we were told upon the booking that the jacuzzi was down and the temp in the entire pool room was freezing. Like we walked in with coats on and were cold. Also the fire alarm went off mutiple times in the middle of the night. So much for a good night sleep...This was the experience I hoped it would be.

2022-03-10About 10 days before I arrived, I emailed the hotel and asked for 2 adjoining rooms because I was coming down with my brother and nephews to visit the Football Hall of Fame. I got no reply, so I called the hotel about a week before our stay and asked for adjoining rooms. The woman was very pleasant and said it was no problem, we would definitely have adjoining rooms and she noted it in their computer. When we got there, adjoining rooms were NOT available. I spoke directly with the hotel GM, Jason Monea, and he apologized but said there was a mix up and the best he could do was 2 rooms across the hall from each other. Very frustrating. The property was clean, with a covered patio in the back with picnic tables. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. The price was reasonable - it was a good value. It was just frustrating to not get the adjoining rooms we had requested a week earlier.

2022-03-20Very disappointed in our one night stay at this hotel. Room and hallways were not clean. Dust built up in all the edges of the carpet. Remote control for TV did not work. Stood in 4 inches of water in the bathtub because the drain was full of hair. Juice machine and pancake machine were both out of order at breakfast bar. Biscuits were raw! No coffee or eggs. Avoid this location!!

2022-01-10We had a better experience with our overall stay since the new management took over after July 2021. Room was cleaner staff was friendly and very helpful. Any requests or issues were handled quickly. A big thanks to the staff for drying my clothes when the guest dryer broke and refunded my money that was lost in the dryer. They even brought my dried clothes to my room folded and hung on hangers. Making planes to reserve a room for the summer of 2022.
