Positive: Location is fantastic. The rooms were clean. Staff is friendly. The food downstairs at the cafe is excellent as well. Negative: You have to pay for parking. Valet isnt too bad, but if you are going to Cleveland Clinic, there is a parking garage three blocks away for $10/day which isnt too bad. No free breakfast but BK and McDs are close to go along with the cafe downstairs.
Our room was very clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed, the hotel staff and service was excellent throughout our stay. We appreciated the shuttle service in order to get to Dr. appointments without the hassle of driving. We also appreciated the safety precautions they had set up and how they managed enacting the procedures. We really appreciate the hotel working with us during my husbands hospital stay regarding reservations, patient discounts, check out times, and not adding extra fees.
The beds were comfy, the close proximity to Cleveland Clinic was great, and the staff was pleasant, but the amenities were less than budget hotel level. Room cleaning had to be requested, and not less than once every 5 days. Towels had to be picked up at the front desk, and people placed their garbage and dirty towels on the floor outside their rooms at night to be picked up. Some nights there was only 1 person managing both the bar AND the restaurant and only a one page menu available with salads and pizza. Other days the menue was 4 pages. You never knew what to expect. The biggest disappointment was the TV selections... No movie channels,, pay per view movies and no NBC! After a long day at the hospital, there was only limited TV to view while unwinding. There are hotels half the price nearby with comparable amenities.
Could maybe mention no parking on the website, mandatory extra charge valet service, or park 4 blocks away, and walk back to the hotel. Attached to a hospital so you are required to wear a mask at all times. Ill pick another hotel next time in Cleveland!!! Oh! Let me add no sleep due to Staff banging around the halls all night, and then decided to just leave at 6 am after a trash truck started banging a dumpster off his truck 15 times....Im on the 9th floor, and would almost jump to my death to get out of here faster. No cap!!!
Unfortunately, the cleanliness and hygiene if this establishment was not up to par. When we arrived, the sheets were dirty (as in stained with dirt), there was loads of dust on the night tables on the headboards, and the floor/carpet was so dirty it yellowed our socks. Additionally, the parking is about 100 ft from the property, which is certainly inconvenient during cold winter months. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and warm. They also lowered the bill total after sharing our our experience. We will definitely go back again.
I would give 10 stars if it were an option. From the very first impression, this Hotel was a hit. As we had a baby with us, the valet parked our vehicle right out front… seriously…who ever heard of this kind of service? Having to travel during covid in December 2021 right before the holidays was unsettling, but as soon as you went in the front door your temperature was scanned and you could not enter with a fever, additionally you were asked about covid symptoms as well. Quite frankly, a huge relief to us. The staff was amazing…friendly, helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. They brought us a crib, asked if we needed anything else and made us feel welcome. The rooms had recently been updated…beautiful, comfortable and great conveniences. For just a normal room with 2 queen beds, it came equipped with a hair dryer, microwave and refrigerator. Everything worked! The beds were comfortable (I have certainly been in 5 star hotels with boards for beds) and the room spotless. It’s always a bonus when things like ice machines actually work, elevators are fast and food service is quality. As covid restrictions applied, food and bar service was more restricted, but the areas were extremely clean, the food was delicious and staff very friendly. To have to travel during peak covid times was different, but the care and safety provided by the hotel and staff was so amazing it put you at ease and they treated you like family. I not only recommend this hotel, I thank them all and appreciate them. Kudos!
My husband is veing treated at the Cleveland clinic. I have stayed her every trip to Cleveland, OH. The staff is outstanding from the front desk, restaurant and anyone else Ive come in contact with. Exceptional service, smiles on their faces , the willingness to listen and help. My room was very comfortable and clean. One thing was the shower door tracks need to be steamed cleaned a little better, touchs if black mold. The valet is closed and this area needed a little attention. All the times I pulled in for my first night there was confusion on where to park to unload. They need some patience as we are going there under stress. Always able to get a ride to my car in the garage. We will be coming back several more times. Thanks 😊
We stayed for a week due to my sons surgery. The room was dirty when we first arrived; urine on the toilet, crumbs on the carpet, etc. My wife chose to clean it herself rather than move my son again. The staff was uncaring, and sometimes even rude. The restaurant food was burnt, and the wait staff couldnt be bothered to remake the food correctly. The beds were comfortable.
First, they don’t tell you it costs $20 a day to valet your car and you don’t have a choice, otherwise there is no parking. It takes forever to use the valet service, and the process is not streamlined. They also do NOT inform you prior to booking that they are affiliated with the hospital, so masks are required everywhere you go. On the phone they told us free Continental breakfast was included, and it was not.The bar tender is rude, staff is rude, and the vending machines are empty. You will starve your entire trip! Save yourself a headache and go to a different hotel.
This is a newer hotel and therefore still in good condition. Rooms are clean. There is one restaurant in the hotel. Service during the morning and day is terrible, apparently the customer is on the worker schedule whenever they decide to assist you. Service in the evening is much better. The location is convenient for cleveleand clinic services. The restaurants in the intercontonintal holiday inn is much better, located next door.
The hotel service was acceptable. Except for Tim in the restaurant/bar. Us 2 nurses witnessed him being rude to customers, telling them they had to move because he wasnt running back and forth. Telling people they had to leave because he couldnt handle it. Waited patiently for my drink to have him snap at me and pour a third of what is normally served as a glass of wine. He closed at 9 instead of the posted time and complained loudly about being the only one. Less griping and more working would have helped.
While I was disappointed the sauna wasn’t working that was not the most disappointing. There “crispy “ flatbread pizza is disgusting. Not a flat bread at all and a soggy nasty mess. In fact it was as soggy as the French fries I had the night before, even after asking for extra crispy. The bartender heard me complaining about the pizza and offered me a discount. $1.95 off. What a joke. Other than the food it was good service and a nice place
Really good service, everything was clean and they seemed to have answers to most questions. We did have a leak the first night. But they moved us to a better room immediately with zero hassle.Valet is very quick too, and polite everyone no matter often youve valet before. It was definitely a comfortable stay.If I find myself in Cleveland again this is where I will be staying.
The hotel, room and staff were wonderful. Online info and actual info was different. No online times for breakfast and we had an early schedule. Arrive and checkout time were different. The food staff and food were horrible.fish was bad and coleslaw had no sauce. Staff was very poor. Too busy disappearing and talking.
Valet scratched my car & refused to pay for damages. I dropped off car when I checked in & when I picked up, there was a big scratch on front bumper. They were the only ones who had the car, I noticed it as soon as they brought it back. I had surgery scheduled in the next hour so its not as if I wanted to spend time in their parking lot filling out forms & talking to police. They didnt even offer to refund the parking. Front desk staff was very rude as well, do yourself a favor & stay ANYWHERE else.
Price was right but the front desk person was awful. Didn’t give me a parking ticket that we needed to get into the parking garage that was a football field away from the hotel and valet wasn’t in service. Got up to the desk to get the parking ticket and he was rude. When I said he didn’t give us a parking ticket he laughed but didn’t apologize. Then told me to calm down. That is NOT good customer service. I am here to see a cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic which is very stressful and to have to deal with stress at the hotel is not at all helpful. I would like Kevin Anderson, general manager, to be informed of my comments and to get a response from him.
This is my second or third time at your facility. Times before were top quality. This time bc of covid I assume. Too many things were as you required. On the 16th @ 1131 am I entered hotel. Where I had to have my tempature taken with a very uncomfortable black mask which Brittany (hotel employee) brought to me demanding I put on. Then told me the reason which I was ok to take temp. I ask about registering at hotle early and she throw h er head to the side and very condescending said we start @4 so rooms can be cleaned. Period no additional info. Went back at 2 got our room. I requesting a different employee to check me in. She acted very hurt like she was in disbelieve that I would request it.Also- No complimentary breakfast was served as before. No business center. The internet said I would get breakfast, no restrictions given, Check in time 3. Parking was a walk to the employees parking lot and spots by hotel were now valets
We stayed here for a recent trip to the Cleveland Clinic. Its conveniently located, but disappointing for the price.More specifically, our first room was not clean (there was trash from the previous guest[s] in the closet), so we were moved to another room which was 87° (someone had apparently set the thermostat rather high) when we walked in. That room only had enough towels for one person and looked hastily cleaned. Most of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but several were also quite disingenuous. In short, the price here seems to be driven by the location--not by the quality of the facility, amenities, or staff.
The hotel rooms are moldy because of a lot condensation coming off the windows. As soon as we checked into our room my 3 year old broke out with the hives. We Took her to the hospital.( gave her Benadryl) Went back to the hotel went to bed, was fine the next day but on the following day she started breaking out again. We rushed out of there and by the time we got in the car and away from that hotel she started clearing up. That was the first time she ever had the hives and the last time. The carpet was wet and discolored over by the windows and the room just felt stuffy. Will never stay there again
Booked a room that said in Red letters free cancelations. I had to cancel because sick and gave them more then a 24yr notice. They so kindly told me the cancelation is free but you get no refund of any kind. What thieves, thats literally stealing. I expected a fee, making me pay full price for a room I cant use.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Short staffed, only one person checking in a line of people out the door, there is no parking and you are forced to use valet. It took over 30 min for them to get our car and we missed a checkup time at one of our destinations that we pre paid for.
Prepaid for the room. They ended up giving our room to a woman with the same last name. Apparently her first name is John. When we checked in, they gave us the keys to her room and we ended up walking in on her. Went back to the front desk. Instead of taking care of us, they made us wait 45 minutes while they took care of everyone else in line.
Amazing hotel!!!!! We stay here for the 2022 NBA ALLDSTAR Weekend and our stat was simply amazing. We initially wanted to stay downtown cleveland but this turned out to be a better stay, still in the city but about 15 minutes from arena. The best thing the hotels did that weekend is have a shuttle bus to shuttle customers back and forth from the hotels to the arena!!!!. Hotel was extremely clean and the staff was feeaking amazing!!! One of the best customer service ive seen!!! Love the bar and restaurant area, food was great and drinks were amazing. We live in the DC Metropolitian area but will be returning to Cleveland just to visit and see more if the cities attraction, Lake Erie was also amazing to see!!!! Thanks for the enjoyable weekend Clinic!!!!!!!!
The hotel itself was ok. Nothing special, but comfortable and clean. I was there for less than twelve hours. I was only there for my childs doctor appointment. I was overcharged by almost $200. Customer service was no help. They hope it will eventually work itself out.
We had to change rooms 2 more times! A total of 4 rooms over 2 weeks secondary to problems we shouldnt have been experiencing. (Worst being methane gas coming from a drain in handicapped room). Staff were always accommodating in making changes, but really shouldnt have to have this experience at an already trying time.
There for Clinic appt. No valet, parked in garage next to HI in a space that was designated for Clinic patients, got a ticket and threat to boot. Talked to front desk, snarky, almost rude blaming me for bad choice in a confusing parking situation. Sinking and worn bed. Great bartender!
You would think, since the hotel is so close in proximately to Cleveland Clinic, that IHG would realize the majority of people staying there are for health reasons. Not only do people have to worry about themselves or a love one, they have to deal with the high cost of staying so close to the hospital.
My stay was nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel was quiet. Within blocks of the Cleveland clinic. It was really nice to have a cozy place to go back to after visiting my husband at the hospital all day. I wished the room rates and parking were MORE discounted for clinic patients. Also, they had changed the policy for housekeeping but not the cards that they were printed on. I thought I would get my room cleaned after being there 3 days but I actually had to request it and I didnt know that. So after 5 days, I mentioned to the staff that I needed more towels and toilet paper. They apologized and quickly got what I needed and put in the request for cleaning. Also the website was not updated with room amenities. The website says there is only a coffee maker in the room. When I got there, there was a microwave and kurig machine. I was pleasantly surprised since I was staying over a week but had I known, I would have properly shopped for my food for the week. All in all though, it was a really great stay.
I wouldnt stay anywhere else other than Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic. The rooms were an outstanding value, very spacious and spotless. The front desk crew were top notch in answering questions and accommodating me inbetween appointments and a late check out. Felt very safe. Shuttle took me exactly where I needed to be and brought me right back.I did valet parking for me car and needed to put something in it. They immediately got my car for me.Medical testing and appointments are no fun and scary, emotionally, mentally and physically but my stay here helped me stay calm. The beds were a bit firmer than I care for, but I was able to be comfortable.
We really love Holiday Inn. Everyone is always so help. They are very knowledgeable about Cleveland Clinic and how to get around easily. Theres a restuarant in the lobby with various foods. The spaghetti with veal patty was good and we especially like the garden salad with chicken. Prices were reasonable. The maid was excellent. What ever you needed for the room was promptly fulfilled. The first time we stayed we were on the 4th floor where it was quiet during the night. Our last stay was in floor 9. We experienced a humming noise twonights which lasted an hour. We did not call the desk because it went away. Carts for your luggage can be hard to find. They are old and very small. We needed to use 2 carts. For as much business as they have, its hard to understand why they dont have better carts. We were happy with our stay and will be back.
Breakfast was excellent, but not included in the cost of your room. There was no way to get breakfast before 7:00am. If you ordered breakfast by room service, it was delivered quickly, probably within 10 minutes or so.Loved the shower, nice and large, no need to step over a tub, it was strictly a shower. The shower had sliding glass doors and one was off the rail which made it difficult to turn the water on. Also loved the sliding bathroom door, never in the way! Furniture was nice, with self closing spacious drawers!Loved the shuttle for the campus of Cleveland Clinic!
Visit was during COVID-19 pandemic so rooms are not cleaned daily but can get services still upon request. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great shuttle service. Didn’t have many meals there but they were ok. Dinning/bar area not open very late if you are just wanting to hangout or something to do. Take your our creamer if you’re a coffee drinker. Overall we had a great experience considering the reason for stay. Close to the Cleveland Clinic and was in walking distance if you choose instead of using the shuttle service. Price is responsible compared to the other close hotels. Will definitely be staying here again when we return.
I’m kind of disgruntled that I have to actually post a review after filling out a huge survey. They could just incorporate the comments that were in my survey into the review. The staff was excellent. Housekeeping has some issues. They were short staffed and my room was only a “quick clean”, and I had three bath towels no hand towels no washcloths no toilet paper and the toilet paper was almost gone. I did bring this to the attention of the front desk in person and was given all of the missing things. However the next day I had a late check out to noon. The housekeeper was in my room when I came back from my doctors appointment. And she said she was pretty much done except for the trash.. The toilet was not clean the sink was not clean and neither were the mirrors nor were the amenities replaced however my amenities were gone so I couldn’t even wash my hands. I don’t think that she should’ve entered my room before noon. I would still recommend this hotel. I think it’s a bit pricey for a Holiday Inn. Yes I would stay there again if I could not get into the intercontinental suites. The room was not clean. The toilet was dirty the sink was dirty, and she did say she noticed that stuff was still there so why did she clean it unless she was in a hurry? I’m not going to blame her because they’re short staffed but she should not have been in my room before no
Perfect location to Cleveland Surgery Center. Loved walking back and forth. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great! Nice little bar area. Extended stay doesn’t clean your room but not a problem for me. If I needed anything the staff was happy to provide it. Definitely would stay there again.
My stay at this hotel was wonderful as a first time visitor to Cleveland Clinic. The on-site restaurant, the valet parking, and the shuttle service all made my stay very easy to navigate. I appreciated the cleanliness of my room, the safety protocols I saw everyone following, and the friendly demeanor of every staff member I encountered. As someone who will have to return to the Clinic somewhat regularly, I plan to book again!
Our first time to CC and the location of this Holiday Inn was perfect. Very friendly staff, Covid aware, clean and comfortable room. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food from the restaurant. We did carryout to our room and the food was excellent. I will defiantly be staying here again when I return.
The pillows could be better. The price for someone staying because of the Clinic, seems a little pricey. The front desk did not have any personality (none that I met), they were helpful, but I felt I was putting them out. The shower floor was less than acceptable. However, it was an average stay.
For the price, this hotel is an unbeatable selection. With professional staff and an overall comfortable atmosphere, I would recommend it to anyone. For anyone concerned about safety, especially within the setting of a healthcare facility, you can be reassured they take they precaution necessary and then some to protect you and your loved ones.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Cleveland while my husband was in the Cleveland Clinic. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean and the staff is very helpful. There is a transport bus to shuttle you back and forth to the hospital which was very convenient.Highly recommended!
It was clean and I felt safe and it made it convenient for my daughters appointment early in the morning..but it was expensive and they do not cater to smokers, also they offer no help finding luggage carts. Basically for the money you would think they could have been a bit nicer
The Cleveland Clinic Holiday Inn is an affordable option if you are staying near or at the Cleveland Clinic/surrounding area for either business, health or personal reasons. It is close to everything and offers a convenient shuttle to the Cleveland Clinic campuses. I really liked the safety mechanisms they use (universal mask wearing, temperature checks). The room was spacious and clean. I would stay here again if i am in the area.
Facility was very calm, clean and quiet. We were at the hospital for three days and location was very accommodating. We also found the restaurant had good food at fair prices so we did not have to venture out for meals. We were able to leave our vehicle parked during entire stay. We will be staying at this Holiday Inn again.
Positive: Location. Relatively nice hotel. Negative: Hair in the bathroom, shower curtain was dirty and hanging weird and shower mat was wet before I took a shower, weird. Had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. Probably my fault,I didnt know it was extended stay or didnt offer room service.
A very nice, clean and modern hotel. We had a nice comfortable room with a refrigerator and little sink area. It was a nice room to hang out in to read and relax. The only food available in the hotel is vending machines and a little quasi-staffed vending-type food in the mornings. There is absolutely no place within walking distance. The area around the hotel is only hospital, hospital, hospital. Nowhere to go and nothing to do. You need a car to go anywhere except for the hospital I guess.
Positive: The people running the shuttles were courteous. Negative: Restaurant had terrible food & service. People at front desk acted like they didn¿t have time to explain things. Went back to the front desk after going to room & a nice gentleman talked with us to give details on the shuttle, etc. Rude lady.
Ive stayed in several IHG hotels since covid began and this is by far the worst. The room was gross. There was mold all over the shower curtain and there was dust everywhere. Stickers on the back of the door that they hadnt bothered to take off. The worst part by far was the service though. Housekeeping asked 4 times in one hour if we were still in our room. This wasnt right before check out. They started asking at 8:30. Lastly the valet was terrible it took ages for them to find my car and then I had to wait 15 minutes for them to verify that I had paid the valet fee. Will not be going here again.
We stayed at this location because I had an upcoming surgery at Cleveland Clinic. It was conveniently located so that we could walk to my pre-surgery appointments and even walk to the surgery center on the day of surgery. My wife appreciated the closeness of the hotel as she had to go back and forth to the clinic by herself after my surgery. Our room was very clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The only thing we were missing was a luggage stand...nowhere to set the luggage and work out of it during the stay. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn if you are visiting the Cleveland Clinic!
The room looked like it wasn’t cleaned that well. You would think that with the pandemic, as much as cleanliness is advertised, there would be more attention to detail. There was blood on the bathroom floor by the toilet, the floor by the entry way had dirt and crumbs and the cabinet where the fridge is located, had food crumbs and something was splashed all over the inside of the door. We had ordered a fried chicken sandwich at the cafe and the chicken was undercooked and rubbery. My husband took it back to the counter and advised they needed to cook it longer and they never asked if we wanted something else or a refund. The only positives to this stay is the proximity for my doctors appointment at the hospital and the front staff attendant, Dan. He was very pleasant on my encounters with him and was very personable.
Stayed here with my daughter for a campus visit at Case Western Reserve University. Room was comfortable and spacious. Check in was quick and the cafe in the lobby offered a nice variety of grab and go items or made to order food. Would definitely stay here again, especially if she decides to attend CWRU next year.
All staff that I came in contact with were respectful, kind and helpful. Upon checking in and entering my room I noticed there weren’t any towels and I went down to the front desk and requested some. The manager was so apologetic which I appreciated but I told him it was really not a big deal. Also, when some on staff found out my reason for being there they offered their concern for my family, especially my sister who is a patient at the Cleveland Clinic.
The staff was excellent One of your Bell man helped us with a reservation for dinner and helped us with a Taxi! Friendly Helpful Pleasant ‼️Staff friendly professional Hotel convenient for our appointment to the Cleveland Clinic !No soap in the room Bathroom not clean Very upsetting ! Toothpaste on front of sink And shelves definitely not clean dirty I’m not exaggeratingPlastic bag on shelf thst fudnt belong to us with someone’s name on it ‼️
If you are looking for good service and welcoming staff, this is the place. The cleanliness of the rooms was good. Enjoyed a coffee in the room. My husband went to the restaurant for his coffee which he said was good tasting, but the wait to get the coffee took 20 minutes. We were able to park close by on a side street on a Saturday evening, but valet is available at a cost of $19. We would stay there again. As a matter of fact, it is the second time we stayed there.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating , the food was delicious. It was a quiet and peaceful place. I enjoyed the free laundry service and the pool. House keeping asked me every day if I needed anything and made sure my room was comfortable and clean. The front desk was always accommodating for any advice or information.
The room was very comfortable and had a lot of light. Nice to have a sink, microwave and mini-fridge. Nice large shower and lots of counter space in the bathroom. I stayed for 7 days and had to request new towels and bed sheets. I had to change the sheets because the housekeeping staff put them on the dresser. The room was not cleaned during my stay. I was told this was due to COVID. I would still recommend this hotel as it is very close to the Cleveland Clinic main hospital and it was a comfortable stay.
Im getting a very reduced rate with most of my bill paid for by a grant. I would have to drive 4 hours, 5 a days a week otherwise. I was told by the social worker who acquired my grant parking would be included. I was told it was not twice by the girl who works days. Now two weeks into my stay I was indeed told parking was included. So I struggled, while sick, to find parking. I was offered no comps for my inconvenience. Sincerely I feel begrudged for staying here by 2 staff members, one a manager I believe. They werent polite and they charged me when I shouldnthave been. Everything and everyone else is very nice tho. Watch your bill I was overcharged and had to get a refund. I mean these people know the people who come stay are suffering and fighting to live right??I learned direct from the Cleveland clinic these guys were not supposed to be charging me a deposit. It is not easy for someone whos sick and cant work to afford things, thats why I was on a sponsorship for my hotel room. They were very rude about it when I insisted that I dont have the money for the deposit, they told me Id have to pay anyways and they were wrong.
My girlfriend and I had a very nice stay at the hotel, the staff was very knowledgeable about local activities and we were handed some papers with names and numbers for restaurants on them at check in. We used valet for our car and it went very smoothly, even to take it out later in the evening to go to dinner. Breakfast was very good the next morning and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a very clean and nice stay. The staff knows what they are doing and are very kind, all of them.
Since this hotel is located on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic, their Covid-19 protocols are very tight. Mask required in public spaces once you are inside the hotel. They have gone over board by no allowing vending machines located on each floor to be filled...every vending machine in the hotel was empty. The restaurant in the hotel was understaffed, the menu offerings are slim and the food barely passable. The wait time between ordering and receiving your order was too long during both visits....25 minutes for a burger and 35 minutes for a salad...$9.50 for a mixed drink served in an 8 oz class filled with ice is criminal. Bar area has the atmosphere of a school lunchroom...skip the bar unless you are by yourself and are put there to eat.Valet only on-site parking which can be inconvenient...if youre in a hurry, call the valet desk and they will bring your car around so it is waiting for you...All of the Valets were extremely nice.
Hotel was clean, staff friendly, however, avoid the Moco restaurant. Service was so bad we left without ordering. Server walked past my wife and I several times and after waiting about 15 minutes we asked if anyone was serving our table only to be told they didnt know we were there......customer service has died at this restaurant.
Bed already sinking in before you even sat on it. Finger prints all over mirror dirt in corners of bathroom. Went down stairs in the morning to check out and tell him and he said he would close the room. No apology or lets make this right. Traveling from Pittsburgh as a cancer patient we thought since it was beside the hospital we would be getting a clean room with a decent bed
All staff were very friendly. Valet was faster than the 10-15 minute wait that was expected. Room and ask facilities were clean. The cafe on site has delicious food. Easy walk to the clinic or take the shuttle. They are very accommodating when your appointments are after check out time, just ask for the best solution to your situation.
I really enjoy the Holiday Inn at Cleveland Clinic. I have to bring my mother to the clinic frequently and always stay here. Rooms are clean as is the building. Staff is friendly except valets are sometimes short and it can take more than 10 minutes to get your car. It has taken as long as 15-30 minutes. The shuttle makes life much easier. I will continue to stay here when she needs to come to Cleveland.
Except for the cafe the service was excellent, but even in the cafe the staff was pleasant. The bathroom was up to date; nice shower and well lighted. Used the shuttle between the hospital and the hotel and never had much waiting for the shuttle to arrive. This hotel was clean and not noisy at all, two things I especially appreciate. Recommend.
During our stay we had to ask for towels, etc daily as well as toilet paper. When we asked about the lack of cleaning our room we were told they clean every 5 days and if you needed it serviced outside of that schedule it required at least 24 hours notice. Valet service was great…very friendly staff, but it’s difficult to recover from surgery and feel clean/safe under these conditions. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this for transplant patients required to stay close for follow up treatments.
This stay was convenient for me because of the location mainly, since I had early morning testing at Cleveland Clinic. Being able to stay at the hotel and then utilize the shuttle system to go to the hospital at the designated time is extremely convenient and makes life so much easier. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I had more testing at the hospital.
We look forward to staying at this Holiday Inn when we have appointments at Cleveland Clinic. The staff, especially Van and Brittney, are very helpful and make us feel very welcome each time we come! The rooms are very clean & comfortable! We also enjoy breakfast at their Mocé café.
I would recommend this hotel if youre a patient of Cleveland Clinic due to the fact of the free shuttle service that you provide. The employees were amazing also. The 2 complaints I have are the fact that our room needed to be thoroughly cleaned (which we did ourselves). Also, the food prices are outrageous and there are very minimal choices. There are only a few healthy choices. Overall, our stay was good.
The staff and service was absolutely outstanding. The staff from front desk, housekeeping, bar staff, restaurant staff and valet all were very helpful, and supportive. As I was alone at the hotel for 32 days with my father in the hospital at Cleveland Clinic.Housekeeping staff Natesha prayed with me every morning and got me what ever I needed. Desk staff went out of their way to get a mailed envelope of my daily medication that my husband had to sent. The valet staff helped me find a tow when my cars right strut broke. The valet staff even went to Walmart for me to get my cappuccino I needed.
They have the basics covered and then take care of all of the little things that can make a trip difficult. We were there for medical appointments and didnt have to worry about getting back and forth, could easily dine in if we wanted to, and they have the friendliest staff. They thought of and took care of all of the little things that can overwhelm you when medical issues are on your mind. The breakfast was good, the shuttle is a huge time-saving perk, and if your check in/check out times dont quite coordinate with your appointments...just tell the front desk. What to me was a huge issue was resolved in 15-30 seconds. This is the hotel we are staying at for all future appointments. Thank you for taking care of this part for us.
I have stayed here several times with my mentally disabled adult son prior to his surgeries. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our accessible room meets our needs in every way. The room and bathroom are large enough and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The food in the cafe is very good.
We arrived about 10:00 PM and immediately were greeted by the parking valet. He easily helped us unload the luggage, explained the parking procedure and assisted us getting to the front desk. The overnight stay was excellent. Our early morning medical appointment was easily gotten to by the shuttle provided. We would recommend others to stay at this hotel for the ease of arrival, good accommodations and quick departure routine.
I stayed here quite often in 2017 and 2018 while my wife was having procedures at the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel and staff were great. No complaints. This time, the staff was still great but the hotel is showing some age and neglect in cleaning. We rented two rooms and both had dirty bathrooms. We reported it within one hour of check in and they were re-cleaned at our request. The carpets are stained in the hallway and one of our rooms. It just looked like they hadnt been cleaned very well over time. Given Covid, I realized that food options would be reduced, but it would be nice to have more single serving grab and go items for breakfast or snacks. We stayed on the ninth floor. Lastly, the valet service worked well for our two day stay except at check in where we had to wait at the stand with no one present and then three employees returning together while a couple of us were waiting to check in our vehicles.
We arrived in Cleveland after driving 7 hours only to find that our stay at an unrelated hotel was cancelled without notifying us. We saw the Holiday Inn at Cleveland Clinic and decided to stop in to inquire about a room and was so relieved to find Van who was working at the front desk was friendly and showed great empathy for our situation and got us checked into a room. It was such a nice hotel, our room was clean and so comfortable, the restaurant and bar inside was convenient and all of the staff was great.
Raschid was great when we arrived. He was very personable and made sure we were safely in our room with our luggage. Everyone at the front desk was great. When I had trouble with the room phone, someone came to resolve the problem and explained how the phone system worked. We ordered room service the first night, and were very pleased with the food and the service. The question about Sleep had nothing to do with the hotel or room. I just dont sleep well. On the average I only sleep 3-4 hours a night.
The hotel is very clean and safe, the gym is awesome, and the rooms are comfortable. The only challenge is the limited menu and the lack of nearby walkable restaurants (McDonalds and Burger King are close but no walkup and not a healthy option on the planet in either). The food prices are a premium in the hotel so plan to have access to a car or eat the valet costs and flex the multiple in and out to get food. Alternatively you can walk to the Cleveland Clinic; there are restaurants there.
The staff at this Amazing hotel treat you like family from top to bottom. Honoria keeps you smiling and Troy is a five star chef. They make you forget youre going to the hospital and make me laugh to forget my pain. At Check in youre surrounded by Beautiful girls who treat you like youre the only guest. Nothing but praise for the entire staff. The rooms are Immaculate and the hotel has a feeling of home away from home.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel every year since it has opened. It is very reasonably priced and within walking distance to Cleveland Clinic where we must go every year. The neighborhood is safe, well-lit, the facility is super clean and attractive. The amenities are great, including laundry, pool, exercise room and snack area. Any meal weve eaten in their restaurant has been very good too. The staff is very welcoming and attentive and during the pandemic they have a temperature station set up as well as other safety measures in place. We wouldnt stay anywhere else when we go to the Cleveland Clinic!
I stayed here because I had to see doctors at the Cleveland clinic and this hotel is in short walking distance that made it easy to access without having to get the vehicle from valet everytime. The staff and hotel itself was great. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The hotel was really clean, followed good precautions, and had good food. The only thing of my whole experience was I booked online and it gave me a price with tax and After checkout I was charged way more than what should have been. Besides that overall great experience
Very clean and comfortable rooms with wonderful beds, great staff (although the indoor valet office could be a little more attentive). The cafe is limited but serviceable (other options are available nearby). Did not use the pool and fitness facilities due to not being fully vaccinated yet, but they look good. Excellent location and close to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Stayed to be close to the clinic. My husband was in the clinic for a liver transplant. Beautiful and very clean rooms with a great rate.Shuttle made it so convenient to go back and forth to the clinic. The only complaint was day of checkout I had previously equested late checkout. When returning to my room 2 hours before time to checkout the cleaning staff had my room torm apart and had thrown items I had in the refrigerator. I was upset at this, that was the point of having requested the time for late checkout. The front desk made very little of my complaint.
We were very disappointed with our stay. We arrived 2 minutes before the restaurant closed but we were told we could not get food. We were informed that our only option was to go through food delivery. We later learned the restaurant in the hotel next door was open until 10. We also went to the concierge in the hotel next door to get help getting a taxi. There was no maid service. We did not get any fresh towels or coffee pods. Overall the stay was mediocre.
The rooms were very relaxing. The only thing we did not care for was the food. You need to improve on the menu. So often there was no water or ice tea to buy. I was there for open heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic so I was not at the hotel very long, two nights only. My husband spent the most time at the hotel. Everything was good except the food.
A very involved heart surgery at the clinic required a 10 day stay. The value and location of the hotel to support the clinic visit was exceptional. The food was very good and provided variety, quality , and exceptional convenience.A snafu fulfilling a requested room cleaning a day earlier than the 5 day COVID span unfortunately could not be fulfilled.Despite this, the staff was highly professional and courteous. The hotel does an excellent job living up to the world class standard set by the clinic.
Although I was pleased with the staff and valet services as i have been in my previous stays at this hotel, I was strongly disappointed with the cleanliness of my room. The bathroom in particular. There were numerous hairs on the floor, counter and bath tub. I feel if you are going to advertise strict cleaning and sanitizing policies during these times, they should be upheld. This made me question the sanitization of my entire room.
Everything went fine except the note that they are no longer changing the sheets and if we wanted them changed to call the front desk. It was late when I discovered the note and we were already settled in for the night, so I refrained from calling. If my wife would have discovered the note, she would have went ballistic. Makes me wonder whether we will stay here in the future.
Everything was nice except there wasn’t any room service available. We arrived from a Cleveland Clinic appointment around 6:00, hoping to have room service for dinner after a long stressful day. The phones weren’t answered and after finally getting through we were told there would be no room service. I asked if I could pick up from the restaurant. They said this wasn’t available. Had to door dash from an outside restaurant. I was not comfortable with this. But, we were hungry and tired. The hotel was clean.
Positive: It was close to the appointments needed to go to. Used the valet parking keep vehicle at hotel and used the shuttle to get to our appointments. Staff was prompt in answering our questions and giving us information Negative: Did not get the free continental breakfast that was one of the amenities. Had to charge it to our room.
We chose the hotel because of the close proximity to Cleveland Clinic. Although there were a few hiccups, the overall stay was good. Met many people from all over the country and shared experiences. The shuttles to the Clinic made things a lot easier. I would stay here again!
Room was very clean and valet service excellent. However, the heating/ac was not working properly. The second evening we returned to room and it was 76 degrees & thermostat was set at 65. Called front desk and someone was sent up. He was extremely nice & whatever he did cooled the room off. The next morning it was 78 degrees. Thank goodness we were checking out that day b/c my appointments were finished at Cleveland Clinic. At checkout I told the front desk and mentioned that I felt I should receive an adjustment to my bill or my parking, I was told there was nothing he could do b/c I had gone through hotels.com. No apologies, that was that....other than he would let engineering know there was something wrong with the air. I will not stay there again.
We love the Cleveland Clinic Holiday Inn. My family stays at this hotel regularly as we come to Clevland Clinic annually for check-ups from NY. We have been coming from the start of this hotels opening and have always LOVED it. We love the convenience of the restaurant and bar... the amazing food there. We love having a pool to entertain our daughter when we stay and A comfortable, clean room to stay in. Our favorite thing though about this hotel is one employees. His name is Rashid and he is so very kind. Whether he is helping with our bags, bringing our room service or simply checking in with us on our health, family at home or striking up a friendly conversation he makes us feel like family at this hotel. Our favorite thing to do is take an annual picture with him with our 3 generations of Clevland Clinic patients. He is why we keep coming back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when in Cleveland.
We’ve been staying here at least twice a month since June 2020. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is always clean and rooms are easy to relax in. Restaurant food is good but hasn’t really made any changes in menu since June 2020. We usually go next door to the intercontinental hotel due to them having a sit down with waitress type menu. But overall, we enjoy staying here
This is a clean, comfortable hotel with awesome food at their cafe! The service (maid and ordereing the cafe food) left a lot to be desired this time around (while here for 2 days) but it had never been a problem at any of our 5 previous stays (over 18 months) , so hoping service will be back to what it was next time we visit.
The room was noisy and dirty. I found dust on lamps, soiled floors, but an overall gagging smell of bleach. The staff was rude. I stayed there for the convenience of using the shuttle for the cleveland clinic. We had dinner there on thursday night and had stomach problems the next 2 days. Do not stay here.
Really nice to walk into a hotel and see it clean and well organized. Then the staff was very nice and welcoming to come and stay. Room was clean, sanitized, and very comfortable to relax in at the end of the day. Really like having coffee available in the room to help you get started for the next day.It was very nice to start the next day with friendly and courteous people at the restaurant and very helpful in ordering and either eating there or taking out. Hotel price was a great price for the location and quality it was. I will stay here whenever I am in this area.
Positive: I loved their commitment to help combat the CoVid-19 pandemic. The staff was awesome!! Thanks guys. Negative: The location was a bit a way away from things, but great choice if youre with someone at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital or need quick access to the downtown festivities!
Stayed here with my wife for a business and family trip. We got into town very late, around 3 AM, checked in around 3:30 AM on July, 3rd. Joshua Taylor was at the front desk and he made our check in process very pleasant - despite being in the early hours of the morning. He was very professional and was attentive to the request we made, we wanted to be on the top floor, he checked us in to a wonderful room. At that time of the night, to have him still maintain his professionalism and having a upbeat attitude is so commendable. The young man emphasized to us he was working on his degree and also attempting to show initiative with his employer by working a double shift that day, and wanted to take on more hours to take his initiative and compassion with the company on wanting to move up to management, while also having compassion about great customer service. Joshua is going places and should be recognized by his managers, the first person one interacts with at an establishment makes all the difference to the customer, so big ups man!!!The room/hotel is very clean and upgraded. Home keeping came around promptly, we had all the supplies we needed, the room was very comfortable - parking was a little bit of an issue, but other than that it was a wonderful experience. We will always stay here when in town.Thank you.The Smiths.
We were very happy with our recent stay at the Holiday Inn in Cleveland. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and have darkening drapes and individual heat and air controls. We ate at the deli and there was a variety of offerings from soup to sandwiches, salads, and plate dinners. We used the Clinic shuttle which is quite convenient.
Pool is only 3 feet deep and not desirable for adult use unless all you want to do is sit in a puddle. Room was dirty...dirty pillowcases and dirty shower with hair from previous room occupant shaving their legs and tapping the razor on the wall to get hair out of blades. Floor of shower dirty as well.. No towels in room upon arrival. Pillows uncomfortable as well but front desk and valet staff were nice.
Positive: nice staff, clean rooms Negative: Having to pay for valet parking. Plus, we knew in advance the hotel is in the hospital complex, but didnt realize how awkward it might feel being around many people and their families who were there for treatment, as we were not there for that reason.
The staff here was outstanding! From the time I arrived until my departure 7 days later I felt like I was at home here. Just one example was the fact that my room was missing a recliner so they brought a brand new one to my room. 7 days is plenty of time to know if a hotel is worth staying at and Holiday Inn Cleveland clinic definitely fits the bill of being totally worth it!
Do not stay here if you want a clean room . I asked several times through out my 40 days there to have my room cleaned . They will only come in make your bed either the same dirty sheets . Don’t take the trash , don’t clean the bathroom or vacuum . They don’t do anything and think by making your dirty bed up that it is ok. I complained multiple times and what’s sad about it is no one cares . They don’t do anything about it . I’m paying an outrageous monthly price and all I ask for is a clean room once a week . I’ve been hung up on when i call about things . And being that this is owed by the Cleveland Clinic you would expect a higher level of cleanliness. They need to hire better housekeeping that isn’t lying about cleaning rooms . Very disappointed in this place
My husband & I stayed at Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic for 8 nights. We paid the patient rate, total: $980.60 incl all fees/taxes. Note: We added a day to our stay + late check-out (12:30 PM) w/ no problems.ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: We arrived 6/3 12:57 PM. We had previously requested early check-in more than once, but unfortunately no rooms were available. We were assigned room #511 at 2:04 PM - before official check-in, so we were still grateful.ROOM• Amenities: Keurig, microwave, mini refrigerator• Bath: Good pressure, but hot water is hit or miss. I ran out of even luke-warm water at both 5:30 & 9:30 AM, but I had plenty at 8:00 PM. The Bath & Body Works amenities are a nice touch.• Bed/pillows: Two queens (per our request), extremely comfortable• Cleanliness: Average• Decor: Standard IHG• Heating/cooling: Room stayed cool, but the vent made a high-pitched whistling sound• Sound: Guests & neighborhood quiet. Unfortunately, the housecleaner on 6/11 AM was TERRIBLY noisy. Every few minutes Id hear something bounce/slam shut like some sort of cabinet. A couple hours after that.. some sort of plumbing noise? I was exhausted after having surgery, so being woken up/kept awake to these sounds was frustrating.• TV: Good size, average channel line-up• View: A parking garage & side street• WiFi: Worked well for all devicesBREAKFAST: No complimentary breakfast available, but there is a small restaurant on-site. We mostly ate at the hospital.COVID-19 RESPONSE: Masks worn, plexiglass, & temperature checks.CUSTOMER SERVICE: Average. Although I was *shocked* to see an elderly patient fall flat in the lobby & none of the hotel staff checked on her. Another guest got her a wheelchair & an employee from the cafe stepped in, but all other employees were completely oblivious.GROUNDS: Nothing to write home about, but clean & updated.HOUSEKEEPING: We requested housekeeping services on night 7 (the day I was discharged from the hospital) so Id return to a sanitized room; the hotel obliged. Reminder: You must request housecleaning ahead of time; the hotel does not provide it no matter the length of your stay. The housekeepers knocked on our door 6/10 & 6/11 unaware that we had extended our stay by one day & were checking out late the next. Theyre definitely ready for you to hit the road, lol.LOCATION/PARKING: Within walking distance of the hospital; shuttle also available. The surrounding area can be a bit sketchy at night.OTHER: Pool is heated, but rather shallow.Would we recommend? YesWould we stay again? Yes
Great hotel with a great location if you’re going to the Clinic. They only have valet parking for $19/night. There is a few free spots on the roads around the area and then there is the clinic parking garage. Bring a mask. Lots of immuno compromised staying at the hotel or visiting others that are. The hotel requires a mask inside and measures your temp when you walk in. I normally don’t agree with masking up but with the majority of people staying here to go to the clinic I think it is prudent.
Thank you to the staff at Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic. We came in for a procedure at the hospital. You made us feel safe with your clean rooms and helpful staff.Valet parking staff were particularly helpful as we had to get in and out of the lot several times with our appointments. Thank you for your patience and kindness.Theres certainly no place like home but we slept well, the facility was clean and bright and we felt very taken care of by staff at this location.
Only service elevator was functional when we left, one was functional when we arrived. The hotel is on the Cleveland Clinic property and focused on Cleveland Clinic patients. A recovery and disaster plans needs to be put in place for elevator outages. No notice or communication of the issue was provided to guests who had appointments including scheduled and extremely limited elevators available.Of less an issue, the staffing issue impacted food and other general services.
The hotel staff was very polite, helpful, and accommodating. The protocols set up to keep hotel guests safe during this covid pandemic were reassuring. The hotel is clean and my room was very comfortable! Having a Kuhrig coffee machine in the room was very convenient and it made good coffee. It was so nice to have a hotel so close to the Cleveland clinic hospital!
Not only is this hotel convenient to Cleveland clinic it is affordable. The shuttle service to and from was a blessing. One less thing to worry about when you have a loved one at the hospital. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and answered all my questions from guest services to food and laundry. My mind was put at ease during these unsettling times when I saw the sanitation stations throughout the hotel, mandatory masks and temperature checks as you come in the front door.
My stay was stressful because my husband was having surgery, but everything at the hotel was wonderful. My biggest complaint was I forgot my comb and the hotel didnt have an extra. Hardly a reason to complain! Staff was kind and helpful. Room was nice. Shuttle service back and forth to the clinic was great! I felt safe and cared for in the hotel.
We were in Cleveland for a visit to the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel was only.3 miles from the main hospital entrance, very convenient. We walked to all of our appointments, although there is a Cleveland Clinic shuttle that runs all day. The staff was very helpful especially Van. My only criticism is that the motel charged $19.00 per day for parking.
We like the service, the people, and the housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The front desk was helpful. We have stayed 3 times in the last month, the last for one week. We loved our room, we were able to have the same room each time, so it seemed like home when we got back to the hotel after a long stressful day at the hospital. The beds were the best ever found in any hotel we have ever stayed, the sheets were high quality and soft. This hotel is within walking distance of the hospital when its nice, or you can ride the shuttle, whose drivers are very helpful runs every 20 minutes. You always feel quite safe.
I was amazed at how quiet the room was, even though there lots of people staying there, including children just a few rooms down from me. The staff was very helpful, including those in the cafe and bar. The room was extremely clean. Wifi was easily accessed. NO COMPLAINTS!
Had to go to Cleveland Clinic for a procedure. This facility is very close and shuttle service is excellent and timely. The hotel staff was attentive to all our needs. The dining/food was excellent and portions were VERY generous, We would absolutely use this facility again regardless of business or pleasure.
I spent 2 night while my husband was a patient at Cleveland Clinic. It was a relief to know I would have a safe, clean comfortable place to retire after an exhausting day at the hospital. Both evenings, I had a meal and a drink in the Moce Grill before retiring to my room. It was a perfect way to end the dsy.
Overall, the staff and services were good. Negatives:No microwave in the room, only in the laundry room on the bottom floor. The staff did not tell us, we found out from another visitor. Cleaning staff did not remove garbage or bring toilet paper for the majority of the days. We had to ask the desk and they delivered it, but wouldnt take more than 1 bag of trash. The food was VERY expensive, especially considering most restaurants only offer delivery through a third party service, which is also pricey. After extending our stay by 1 day, we were locked out of the room and had no toilet paper again. Upon check-in, we informed the staff that a friend would be paying remotely, due to our emergency situation. They assured us this was common and we would have no issues. Upon checkout, the staff refused to allow the friend to pay, claiming we had booked our reservation through Trivago or a similar app. This was not true at all, because we called the hotel directly once we realized we needed a room. Our friend was trying to take some stress away from our situation, however we were charged by the hotel directly, and the situation is now even more stressful.
Front Desk check-in, polite, friendly and caring. Mocha Cafe, My husband and I got hooked on the Barnyard Burger, I think thats what its called. Staff there was very pleasant. Didnt have to wait too long for the food. Loved the sweet potato fries! Valet delivered our vehicle between the 10 minute window. Housekeeping providing the things we needed, especially the shower chair. For what we were going through Holiday Inn was an Oasis for us.
The front desk clerk Wayne was very very helpful to me and my aunt he help me with my car very polite and also cute mrs Waers and Mrs.Larsen so on that note thank you very much for your employee Wayne and I’m going to add this to If I had a business he’d be my number one man
The front staff was not very efficient. The room was clean, the service to just have towels exchanged each day and trash out, nothing else, was a mess. Bath towels seemed to be at a minimum as one is what was delivered most days. Since my spouse was having two heart procedures on two days, we needed a towel for each of us, not sharing! This simple task wasted a lot of our time in order to accomplish what should have been automatic with two people in a room. The rest of the staff that helped us were excellent. The food was good but the man working one evening in the kitchen area had his mask just over his mouth exposing his nose, not at all comforting to us.The service in other stays at this hotel has been excellent just not sure what happened during this weeks stay! As the room was clean, temperatures taken and masks suppose to be worn, we would stay here again for the Cleveland Clinic visits. Be warned, the hotel cannot make guests wear masks, it is a volatile situation and we totally understand.
Advertise valet sign was at door parking attendants were there Hotel would not let them park your car- $6.50 to park in Cleveland clinic garage had to walk around block to park - no sanitary gel outside of lobby area - Had to ask for clean towels every day--Very very limited menu -second time staying there to give them second chance --NEVER again
Everything from check in, using the facilities, directions to the Cleveland clinic, and check out were better than expected. This hotel is a great choice for anyone wanting the best value I’m not leaving a connection to Cleveland Clinic. Three short blocks and you’re there. The people are what make the difference.
I was having surgery so I stayed for the first night and my mom stayed in the hotel the next few nights. The staff was super friendly and extra caring knowing i was having surgery. We ended up adding an extra night because I wasnt released yet and that was a super smooth experience. Upon discharge I was feeling a little ill and asked if they had some sort of emesis basin for my long ride home which they quickly found me a bucket to take with me. It really meant alot. Id definitely recommend this hotel!
To whom it may concern, I would have to say that my visit to the Holiday Inn Cleveland clinic was a good stay. The only real complaint that I have is the lack of free parking available to guest. I guess I have just never stayed at a hotel without ample free parking. I know the Covid pandemic is causing problems all across our nation. The Holiday Inn staff, in my opinion, is doing a fantastic job of putting the health of their guests as a high priority. Thank you for all you are doing to make the best of a bad situation. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They also do a great job of coordinating the transportation to and from the clinic. We will be back in about six months and I would not think of staying anywhere else.Best regards,Kevin Berry
Overall, the hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly! Only a few things that could have been a little better. There was thick dust on the bathroom door. The pool was dirty - for multiple days there was chunks of hair in there after we let the staff know. The food at the cafe was wonderful! Valet was quick. Short walk to the hospital
Everything was okay. We had a regular room - not a suite. Their was only one comfortable chair and a business chair. Would have been nice to have two comfortable chairs as we did not venture out anywhere due to the coronavirus issue. We arrived 10 minutes before check-in time and the receptionist at the counter was very short and unfriendly with us. I made sure after 10 minutes I went to a different from t desk person. The room had only one soap. None for the shower. What? There were some stains on the carpet but the room seems clean. The location is ideal if you have appointments at the Cleveland Clinic.
There were no wash clothes in the bathroom. We asked for a couple, never did received any. Also, we were staying 6 nights and there was only 1tiny bad of soap on the sink. No soap for the shower! Since we were staying 6 nights, we received no room service so, that one little bad of soap was supposed to last the two of us. These are minor issues but it did surprise us that we had no wash clothes and just that 1little had of soap for 2 people for a 6 night stay. We understood about the room service since we were staying at least 5 nights and that was not an issue. Fortunately, we brought a couple of our own larger wash clothes from home or we would have had to press further for the wash clothes. All in all, we were very comfortable with our stay and would/will definitely come back.
This property is very nice and affordable. I like that things had distance so that you could still eat and have safe distance. It was very quiet. Although I am a Cleveland clinic employee I know the expectation and I feel the caregivers were all kind. The food was awesome nice size food for the price paid
My stay was very good. My go to place when I’m at the Cleveland Clinic. My first impression of the parking attendant wasn’t very good. I expected the person to be more personable and friendly. Kinda got the impression that ok I’m just doing my job see you later. Now the parking attendant when I departed was awesome. Oh well I guess we all have bad days. Other than that the staff was excellent!!!
Upon arrival the staff was excellent. Out temperature was taken at the door. The room was spacious. I did get a shower room without a tub. They did not have another room of this type so we stayed. The cleaning staff, however had not swept thoroughly and the shower wasn’t clean. The refrigerator had a bad odor. After calling it to their attention they did fix the situation. After cleaning the room our stay was great. The staff was friendly and we felt at home in Cleveland. This was our third stay there due to medical reasons and we will return to this hotel. Just a note... the toilet tissue and Kleenex were to rough.
Guest service did a good job. Once I got in the room it was ok. Basic and Expected for a Holiday Inn. Three things that I noticed is that their was a RED stain on the carpet, the shower edges around the bottom glass needed to be cleaned and the bed and pillows suck. They were not comfortable at all. Good thing I brought Clorox wipes to clean the shower. Other than that basic. I don’t think I will book with them again. Nothing wrong just my personal preference.
We have stayed here 2 times. The first time we flew the red eye all the way from Las Vegas, NV and arrived at the hotel at 11am. The management and front desk was so accomodating and willing to allow us to check into the room before 3PM which is a standard time to check in.The day we were scheduled to leave one of our doctors scheduled a last minute test, the hotel graciously allowed us to check out a little later. The Staff is Always Friendly and helpful. The second time we arrived the same staff recognized us and welcomed us with warmest smiles (your were able to see their expressions even though they were wearing masks). I felt like I saw my friends again. Such a wonderful greeting! The stay is always great, everyone is nice and accomodating. If we ever need to come back to cleveland clinic the Holiday Inn will always be our home while we are here.!
We stayed here while my wife had surgery at Cleveland Clinic. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to some requests after she got released. The restaurant seemed high on some things, but was very tasty. The cook during breakfast went out of his way to please me. They also were willing and friendly to make some substitutions. Very good experience for what we were going through.
We were at this site for a medical appointment and chose this hotel for ease location and helpfulness in getting to appointments. Checkin was done with great ease and the room were great. We did pick this location partially due to the restaurant on location but were very disappointed in the restaurant area. Very poor service and food quality left a lot to be desired. Staff could have cared less if we were ever waited on and the food was definitely not worth the price! Maybe if the staff would realize that the people staying at the hotel might not be feeling the best and to be ALOT more attentive would be nice. When you dont feel good you DO NOT want to struggle with trying to get some food so you can go and relax. The bed though was fantastic. This did help my husband rest comfortably following his procedure. If we do have to return we might give them another try but sure will have to step up the restaurant area and bar area. Maybe think of the family members whom have had a rough day as well with their loved ones having to visit for medical reasons. There is no reason to gouge when our visit is already uncomfortabl.Over all I would recommend this venue to stay at just be cautious with your dining choices if you are able to make other plans.
Stayed for a few days due to husband having surgery. The staff was super helpful with explaining all the many services offered there. The room was great and comfortable. Room service was spectacular and the food was not only amazing but quality and quantity were above my expectations. Used valet parking and the valets were terrific. I would not only stay here again but would definitely recommend this place to others as well!!!
I always enjoy my stay here. It’s tough when I have to be at the clinic the next morning, so having a calm, relaxing experience is helpful the night before. Breakfast was pretty good, too. The shuttle to the clinic is excellent as it arrives every 15-20 minutes and there are multiple buses. I will caution that food/room service has a couple extra fees and it adds up a little beyond what I’d expect to pay. Overall, a great experience.
I have stayed here many times while having testing or surgery done at The Cleveland Clinic. You may reserve a certain room type, but if the previous guest needs to unexpectedly stay over in it, you will get a different type of room. You probably don’t want to stay there, if you are particular about the type of room or bed you want. I was chastised very loudly by the front desk clerk when I didn’t agree with him that they were right to allow the stay over in my reserved room. Honestly, I was there to go to the hospital with very serious medical issues. If I had asked to extend my stay unexpectedly, I would certainly move to whatever type of room they had available. So, people will disagree with me, but I don’t feel like I should have been pressured to agree with the front desk attendant, verbally, several times. There was a reason I reserved the type of room I did, but the desk clerk was kind enough to point out that I was only there for one night, so I guess I didn’t matter, nor did my money. It was more about the way he handled it, rather than having to accept a different type of room.
The King suite I reserved was not available so we took a Queen suite room... Not happy with that, but we arrived late and we tried to contact someone at the front desk to let them know but couldnt get thru was on hold for more than 10 minutes in the car. If you are not going to clean rooms daily it would be nice if you would provide more towels and hygiene products. The second day after more towels were brought into the room... it had a stale odor (maybe cigarettes) and neither of us smoke or have ever smoked. I do appreciate being allowed to have an extended check-out on my last day there. I appreciate the closeness of the Hotel to the Hospital.Just want to make you aware of these things so that your Hotel is doing the best job to provide a relaxing service to patients of Cleveland Clinic that need the rest. I liked having a safe in the room also.
We stayed here because of its proximity to the Cleveland Clinic, where my son was being admitted for surgery. The hotel did its best to make things as comfortable as possible, given the situation around us. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom as well. As so many others have said, the parking situation with either valet, or a few very lucky street spots, was poorly planned, in my opinion. We ate one meal in the restaurant...I had a spaghetti dinner, it was average and a bit pricey. My son had a sandwich, which he enjoyed. The staff was more than helpful with every need that arose. We used valet and only had one hiccup early in the morning just prior to my sons surgery, where we waited 20 mins for the attendant to retrieve our car, finally showing up to tell us that the driver wasnt available yet, she was only an attendant. Overall, nice stay.

2022-05-26I mean listen. I never stayed here but I definitely accidentally used their valet service, took two masks from the front desk, and was almost to the elevator before I realized it was a hotel and not the childrens hospital where I was bringing my child. Guy at the front desk didnt bat an eyelash and instead just helpfully redirected me to the shuttle service.Upsides: clean lobby, nice staff, close to things, breakfast smelled good?Downsides: the credit card reader was down and they couldnt make change so it was a bit of a wait to pay.Final upside: but they ended up just letting us head out since they couldnt take payments rather than make us wait very long. Super appreciated!

2022-05-11Manager Van addressed a concern we had on our first visit. He made things better for us. So, we decided to try again. We have been here three days and our stay has been most pleasant. During a time when life isnt comfortable Van took the time to make it comfortable. Thank you for all you do Van and Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic ❤️

2022-05-28The staff...going to Cleveland clinic is hard. Watching a loved one in crisis and each day just as hard or worse that the day before until they begin to recover is very emotional. The one glimmer of light was coming home to the Holiday inn and being greeted by the staff. They became my family. They made sure I had what I needed. The room was clean and well cared for. If I didnt have something I needed they helped me figure out how to get it. Always smiling even with the mask on you could see it in their eyes.I feel they helped me during some challenging times and for that I am beyond grateful.

2021-10-11I rather liked this hotel. We were staying over ahead of an early admission to the hospital the next morning and the hotel was comfortable and had plenty to watch on tv.The purchased ahead breakfast worked well for us and is something I would use again. The purchase gets you a set amount to use when buying food at the cafe in the hotel. It worked nicely. The building was in good working order and the room and bathroom were clean and neat. We appreciated the easy check in process. The valet parking was good, they worked quickly at getting us our car when we needed to leave. I would have liked better directions to the park yourself lot or garage, but since that wasnt available, the valet parking was fine. The cost wasnt too high either.Beds and pillows were comfortable. Rooms stayed a decent temperature for the most part though it tended to cycle up and down with the middle being what we considered the sweet spot for comfort.I would stay here again.

2022-04-08Stayed here many times. Now that there is no Valet Parking Sevice, the hotel needs to add several more Handicap Parking spaces, at least temporarily. Most other services are adequate. Rooms are large and comfortable. Amenities are scarce, though. I would still recommend this hotel.

2022-03-18Downgraded from a king deluxe room to two queens upon arrival, was told the room I paid for was not available. Coffee $3.25 for coffee from a Luke warm community coffee dispenser. No free water. No free breakfast. Staff was extremely rude and parking is a pretty good walk away. For the price this hotel was a lot worse than a sub $100 hotel. No amenities whatsoever. Only 2 towels, 2 wash rags, 2 hand towels in the room. Stay away from this place.

2022-04-23The hotel was very clean, very nice. it has a pool, it was supposedly heated but it was kind of cool for a heated pool. no hot tub. no breakfast was served but there is a restaurant downstairs where you could get a very expensive breakfast. there is a Burger King across the street where we went and had breakfast. the parking is absolutely ridiculous it is very far away from the hotel in a garage and they hold your car hostage you have to pay $6.50 every time you leave the garage. so we just use the shuttle back and forth to the clinic.

2022-05-16Upon checking in the hotel looks nice as well as the rooms. However when it was time for bed, as soon as I laid down I dipped so low into the mattress. I’m not sure if the mattresses are old or what, but that definitely made my stay miserable. They also pride themselves on cleanliness but I had stains on my sheets (thankful that I bring my own sheets) also the bathroom floor is nasty and there is hair it the corners of the floornear the tub and on the towels. If it wasn’t for this hospital being convenient for visits to the nearby hospital I would not even finish my stay here.

2022-01-28Hotel is a ripoff, if your wanting to waste your money this place is for you. Your already paying for the room, than you have to pay outrageous for parking, plus they take out $50 per night for damage, of course you get it back when checking out but why not just put a card on file like every other hotel? Would not recommend!

2021-11-05Wonderful asset for caregivers of loved ones staying at the Clinic. Highly recommend this hotel. Kind and compassionate staff. Facilities were extremely clean. Super comfy beds. I utilized the fitness center and pool to refresh after long days sitting in the hospital. When I needed anything extra, front desk staff had exactly what I needed almost immediately. The only downer was low staff levels in the dining areas, but that’s happening in every sector of America right now. My only suggestion: consider installing dispensers in the showers like all other IHG hotels I’ve stayed in the past few years. I was actually surprised they still utilized tiny little shampoos and soaps here. Also, where’s the customary hair dryer?
