I stayed during last week of January 2022.Typical Hilton Garden Inn. Hotel is a bit older and shows a bit of age. They have large number of rooms. One of the room smelled of smoke when I entered it, got it replaced to a different room. Most of the hotel amenities are closed due to COVID. Yet, no special COVID precautions as such. Staff was not wearing masks. I also visited the Courtyard by Marriott nearby and they visibly took better measures to protect the guests and employees. On weekends there is no breakfast at this hotel.
I would not recommend staying here. Trash in hallways, elevators broken, 1 ice machine working. Not enough bedding in the room as the sleeper sofa did not have bedding in the room and had to come to the front desk. Bathroom in room was dirty with hair and mold. Called front desk and they said they would clean it and never did. Blood on pillow case. Pool and all 2 treadmills were broken. When we needed towels we were told to bring them down and get fresh ones, however when we did we were told I do not want your nasty towels. I called the manager after 2 weeks as I was told he would be in contact and never heard back from here. I can see why the staff does not care when the management team does not.
Welcoming staff, however, the rooms leave much to be desired, in my opinion.Water pressure - poorLighting - poorBathroom - vanity light was very nice, towels and wash cloths very nice BUT no exhaust venting.TV - was larger than most but the Guide button on the remote did not work. NBC channel showed on the guide BUT could not select and hit enter NOR enter the single digit, then a dash with the next number. Called the front desk, no one knew what channel was NBC.**CHECK-IN** - be aware that no one will service your room until day 3. Most of the time that is fine BUT you are only supplied with 2 k-cups for regular coffee. Make sure you ask for additional in advance if you do not want to go to the front desk in your PJs.Breakfast - is $8.95 each morning. Not worth it.Will try the Hampton Inn next time......and they have free breakfast.
Room was at a nice temperature and it has good lighting and electrical plugs to charge your many devices. The reason for two stars was due to only one towel in the room and the bath tub looked like it needs some work. We also had an issue with someone trying to enter the room late at night, and the staff did not handle it well. They changed the door battery as if that was an issue and finally realized (when my wife called the front desk) that the room was occupied. The whole thing happened last at night and woke us up.
Ok, for now, upon check in were going with 3 stars. We booked a king suite with whirlpool tub for our family. 2 adults, 2 children. Upon arrival to our room most things looked great. As we began to put stuff away and settle in it was evident not much cleaning had taken place(see attached photos) Were not really check all the nooks and crannies type people but when you cant even set down your phone to charge without a sticky mess all over..the cleanliness becomes an issue. Anyways, our room had a king bed and pull out sofa for the kids. No sheets or blankets for the sofa bed, no big deal just a call to the front desk to have it taken care of. Well, apparently common sense is not that common..They brought is a fitted and a flat sheet. Really? Why is it necessary to state we also need a pillow and a blanket🙄🤦 Why wouldnt we? Who sleeps with no pillows or covers? Who does that?? Will definitely update further into or after pur stay in concluded. Were going to reach out to the front desk again and see if we can acquire some pillows and a blanket. 🤞
The worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. We had a wedding party of approximately 20+ rooms for the entire weekend. First of all when we checked in they gave us keys to someone else’s room which is scary and completely unacceptable. After an hour of her trying to figure it out we finally got a room. Then on Sunday morning the girl at the desk says oh we don’t do breakfast on the weekends, at $160+ you better and not only that, there was breakfast on Saturday. When we went to the pool about 9 Sat morning there were piles of used wet towels everywhere, no clean ones and the pool bathroom was trashed. Then Sunday morning the cable was out! They definitely need new management at this location, we always stay at the Hilton, this location is the worst and someone needs to train, fire and hire some good staff and new management here.
Worst HGI we have ever stayed in and we stay in a lot of them. First, we arrive on a Thursday evening to meet my two brothers and their wives for a getaway 3 day weekend. We were looking forward to meeting in the bar area to have some wine and catch up. But, the bar was closed! So we had to make a special trip to a wine store. Next we check into our room. The reading light over one of the beds was not working. You could not even see out of our 5th floor room because the window was so dirty and steamed up. The Keurig did not work properly. We reported this and was told it would be replaced but was not. Then, to top off the first night, there was only one towel for my wife and me. Had to run down to the front desk. Guess what. That is normal! Are you kidding me? But, the clerk did say they try to match up number of towels with the number of guests on the reservation. Yet our reservation was for my wife and me plus my wife was standing next to me when we checked in! The clerk should have told us right then there was only one towel and gotten a second one for us. The first morning there was a fair continental breakfast, but there was NO breakfast on Saturday and Sunday! Other HGIs typically leave a bag of breakfast items such as a bagel, granola bar, etc, but nothing for this HGI. Had to drive to a local restaurant. Have seen this before. This is a severe management problem at this hotel. They may save a bit on help and laundry, but are losing repeat customers. Ill never stay here again. So disappointed.
There were several issues with the room upon check in. To be fair, we were offered another room but we had completely unpacked, setup our computers for working the next day, setup bathroom with our stuff, our cpap machine, etc. It would have been a significant effort to move rooms and we were assured the room would be cleaned the following day. However, it was not, then upon sharing my experience (very politely) with the day manager as the night employee had been fabulous in trying to help us, her response was what do you want me to do about it, we offered you another room. She really could have cared less about the situation and I felt blamed me for the problem for not wanting to repack and move at 11:30 (maybe later) at night. And by the way, the room was sealed as if it had been cleaned. Our room was cleaned for our last night after the second cleaning request. Then our last morning there I went to the lobby and there was a lady refilling the vendor area and she very impolitely asked me what I wanted, she did get me the bath towel I wanted but it felt like I was really putting her out to have asked for it, then when I went to check out, instead of saying good morning how can I help you, all she said was room number and do you want me to print or email you your receipt. No how was your stay, nothing, not at all customer focused. The day manager did comp us one night and I would have been very appreciative of that if she hadnt said what do you want me to do for you as if I was the problem when I was beyond polite. Based on her behavior and then the lady on checkout day, I would really like my entire stay comped.I know this is not the experience you would want a customer to have or the quality of room you would want a customer to stay in. It did not meet Hilton standards in anyway.Heres a list of the room issues:1) there was diarrhea on the toilet when we checked in2) one toilet roll had been completely used and the toilet paper was in shatters hanging from it - it was empty and should have been removed (or replaced if we werent experiencing shortages)3) toilet had wring of filth around the water and under the rim4) there were no kleenex - after the night employee brought us a bag of kleenex even after the second request to have the room cleaned and it was the kleenex were not put into the kleenex holder5) the shower curtain and shower itself were moldy6) there was no inside shower liner so only the cloth liner which got soaking each time we took a shower and even after I shared this with the day manager who said shed get that taken care of right away it was not7) the shower/bath faucet was missing Id call it the facing plate which shows hot/cold water, which was not a big deal but it showed the inner workings of the faucet so not a completely chrome look there were inside brass guts showing8) the cover for an extra blanket was empty on sitting on top of the shelves not a big deal but unprofessional looking9) I put clothes into the shelves and they came out dusty had to wash off to be able to wearAny one, two or even three of these things I could have easily handled but then you add the full list and the complete disregard for me as a customer as shown by your day manager, and the lady that checked me out. It is just not acceptable.I do want to note that the man working the desk who answered the phone each night was very thoughtful and empathetic. I would have said even with these issues extremely satisfied if I just dealt with him but the other two put me beyond my tolerance level and in reality this was just completely unacceptable.I also have pictures if youd like to see what I experienced in the room.
Had to wait an hour for my room to be ready when check in is at 3 and I didnt get there til 5:30 then didnt get the room I paid for and when I said something they acted like it was bookings.com fault for a false picture. Then the pool feels like a ice bucket and I literally got brain freeze when I jumped in. The only thing I enjoyed was the hot tub. This was a birthday night I wasnt pleased with.
Awful! No ice that we knew of til we left.(machine out of order, they didnt offer other ice suggested floors), one towel til they were delivered. Hardly any tp or coffee available, charged for free breakfast items, couldnt get a call to front desk, no pool available(broken ladder ), fridge didnt cool, security latch had one screw. Reservations was a nightmare in ohone hell!
This place was a breath of fresh air after fleeing a filthy hotel in Xenia, Ohio and needing a place to stay fast. Rooms are extremely clean, fresh, and modern. All the amenities were working great. Linens and towels were clean. Pool facilities were kept nice, and WiFi worked great (huge plus for us!). My only complaint is due to covid, room service became optional. At check-in, we specifically requested room service to clean our rooms, but they never came the following day of our stay. Front desk staff were pleasant to work with about the situation but were unable to have room service sent to our rooms. Otherwise would have been a 5 star. All in all great place, will be staying here again when visiting.
Nice hotel, good location. Pool and hot tub were nice and warm. Room was clean. Beds were really hard and the shower had NO pressure, we couldnt even shower. We tried twice, once in the evening and the next morning... not enough pressure to even spray. We ordered dessert for our room (brownies and cheesecake), neither were very fresh. I would stay again, just be sure to check those things first :)
I stayed here in 2008 for approx. 2 months and I cannot forget those days. I am from India and visited to USA for business purposes through my company. The hotel is extremely wonderful. I still remember the welcome of staff there at reception. They were so nice and helpful. I cannot forget the breakfast buffet daily I had. The hotel is very neat and clean with all the amenities. Wow!! Jacuzzi. Thanks a lot to all the persons of hotel who made my days memorable there and provided me all the comforts.I hope again I get a chance to visit there.
Really nice hotel. I didnt stay here but had a meeting in one of the conference rooms. After staying at the hotel I did stay at I wish I would have gotten a room at the Hilton. Ive stayed at other Hiltons before and generally think they rely a lot on their brand being associated with a little more upscale quality. But for our meeting we had plenty of snacks, the catered food was good, and the room was nice and clean.
EVERY TIME someone in the building flushes a toilet or uses water in a nearby room, you hear it like its your OWN room. Im a HH member who has stayed in dozens of Hilton properties, and Ive NEVER experienced a hotel as noisy as this EVER. Makes you wonder if theres even one pound of insulation in the entire building. (If I could attach an audio file to this review, I would.) Hallways littered with used towels and trash. Front desk receptionist didnt offer bottled water, directions to the elevator or room upon check in, nor wifi instructions, and she definitely needed an attitude adjustment. Theres a better/friendlier stay at the Spring Hill Suites across the street (stayed there). Finally, have you noticed that management doesnt respond to negative reviews on here? Its because THEY DONT CARE about making your stay a better experience.
Called on Tuesday to get information on hotel, was told room service, pool, hot tub and fitness center were open. Was told the bar was open but the restaurant was closed. We arrive to none of the above being true, except you can buy a breakfast box for $6. The front desk did tell me I could go to a sister hotel across the street to swim if I wanted, but no hot tub, and it’s January!
Hands down the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. My boyfriend and I came to Dayton to visit my family and he decided to stay here with the jacuzzi tub for a romantic Valentines Day weekend. I encouraged him to stay elsewhere as I had read poor reviews on this hotel, but he wanted to give them a chance. Besides our coffee machine being broken and never replaced, us being lied to about not having breakfast included and then told last minute that it was in fact included, and the chemical burns that my niece and nephew experienced from the pool, this was a horrible experience. These issues were enough to make us scream; however, we were surprised days later by a double charge from the hotel on our card. It took three ways calls between the bank and hotel and several calls to corporate to get the inept hotel manager to fix the issue. He continued to lay blame on the bank and still has yet to apologize. The manager is extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Save your money, your time, and your frustration by staying elsewhere. This place is the opposite of hospitality and provides a bad reputation for the Hilton brand. From other reviews that I have read, there was a common theme about the pool and how it should not have been open for use as it led to rashes and skin issues; which is exactly what happened to my poor niece and nephew who screamed and cried for days because of the burns. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and not worth any of the issues theyre going to inevitably cause. We are still dealing with a double charge and an extra $800 taken out of our account with no apologies made from the manager whatsoever.
My husband and stayed at this hotel over Valentine’s Day weekend and I was I booked a jacuzzi, I called the day after I booked to confirm the correct room was booked and was told what I booked was considered a oversized bathtub with jets....ok... that sounds like a jacuzzi to me. Upon check in and going up to our room, it was just a ordinary room with a regular tub. When I went back down to the front desk to let them know this is not what I booked I was told there were no more whirlpool rooms available. I said I even called to confirm the day after booking that we indeed booked the correct room. The lady at the front desk apologized and put a free breakfast on our room. Now come to find out not only did I not get the correct room, my credit card was charged twice and I won’t get my money back for 2weeks, if at all. Not a good experience.
We had a tasting for our wedding reception. The service is stellar the food is amazing and atmosphere elegant. We booked there because our wedding is new years eve and we wanted to ring in the new year with our guests, Ashley the wedding consultant said we could party all night, when other venues wanted us out by 11(on new years eve?)We love that they are full service and will literally do anything we ask. A big relief for a wedding
When you first enter this hotel it smells wonderful. It appeared to be very clean and the staff upon check in was very nice. This hotel is currently under construction and I wish they would have disclosed this information when I made the reservation.Definitely ask for a room on the 5th floor or you will be right in with the construction. Before I checked in I called to make sure the pool and hot tub were in working order and if they planned to close the pool or hot tub during our stay. I was told everything was up and running.I quickly found out that was not the case. The pool area was only open for about 4 hours total during our stay. When it was open it was very dirty. The tables and chairs are old, dirty and outdated. When my family and I were getting ready to leave we tidied up the room by piling towels in the corner of the bathroom, making sure trash was in a trash can, etc.The manager of the hotel had the nerve to confront me during check out to tell me the room was trashed. When I asked her to explain she said, towels are everywhere and the sheets are piled up on the bed!I was definitely put off by this confrontation and her false accusations in front of everyone in the lobby.
I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. I had a two room suite and the only drawers are in the closet by the main door. I dont know who convinced corporate management that this was a good idea. The bedroom has a cabinet under the TV. Not drawers. No soap tray in shower. The room is much brighter and nicer than before, but the details are lacking.
Very good stay overall. My fiance and I found ourselves here while visiting friends in Springfield as hotels were significantly cheaper in Beavercreek. Hotel is well kept, clean, and we both liked the size of the room and tasteful decor. However, I have to pay a particular comment to the ladies who worked the breakfast area in the morning. They were extremely friendly, polite, and explained to us how the cooked to order breakfast worked as we had never been to a Hilton Garden Inn previously. Kudos to them for excellent customer service and very welcoming hospitality!
Nice clean rooms. Complementary cookies and coffee in the lobby, as well as a complementary pantry of certain drinks and items. Staff were friendly. Only stayed 1 night so cant t comment on housekeeping. My tub drain was clogged, with water draining very slowly. Business center had a computer which did not print properly - had to redo all work on the other computer to print. Location was very safe and generally quiet.
The stay was great. Check in was smooth. Room was exactly what I expected. However, my only gripe was no included breakfast. I was told over the phone that breakfast was included in the price, but upon check in I was told it would be an additional charge ($10/person). Other than that the stay was good.
We stayed for the weekend on bowling tournament. They are remodeling and our room was great. We were on the 5th floor in King room with a separate shower and whirlpool tub. Staff was great from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was great, being a Diamond member our breakfast was free. I ordered an vegetable omelette with potatoes and meat. This was huge, not knowing the meat would be 4 strips of bacon, large sausage patty and bratwurst. The waitress/hostess were awesome. We definitely will stay again.
What an awesome.place. the rooms are very clean and nice. Beds are comfortable. The staff there are very friendly helpfull people. I really liked the fact that they had a shuttle service that would take you and pick you up from local restaraunts. The pool and hot tub were great. In theMorning for 10 dollars we had a made to order breakfast the way you want. I would recomend this place to anyone and will stay again when in the area.
The hotel was well located and easy to find. The amenities were adequate and the facilities were clean. The food at the restaurant was convenient but not fantastic. The cleaning staff were overly enthusiastic; my personal items were straightened and my soap completely replaced each and every day. The internet was easy to connect to and fast, but would randomly require signing back in, despite saying the session would last the day.
I was tired of staying at chice hotels so I stayed here and ill be staying at Hilton hotels from now on. Bedding was clean and fresh, shampoo and soap were brand name. Tissues were brand name. Place was clean! Friendly staff! Fitness room was nice having free weights was very nice! Breakfast was an additional charge but was so worth it better than any restaurant and barely any wait for food (was here during the week). Cereals were fresh did not taste stale or off brand. Plenty of fresh legit OJ. Honestly I would stay at other hotels to save $30-50 but the little things they did drove me nuts its not worth the annoyance stay here youll be happy!
This Hilton Garden Inn has newly remodeled rooms and hallway areas. The rooms are comfortable but seem a little dark even with all the lighting turned on. The lobby and conference room areas are very nice. I had their breakfast in the morning and the New York strip steak was my favorite evening meal off of the menu and I enjoyed both. The staff here is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is an enjoyable experience. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Room was nice, it wasnt a suite though as Im used to.The biggest problem, we stayed Thursday to Sunday, there were two buses of teenagers there. They werent chaperoned and just ran wild, they ransacked the pool & hot tub area. They were so loud on the first floor, you could hear them up the elevator shaft to the top floor.Otherwise, good location, clean, beds were on the soft side though and we turned them up to the firmest setting. Kind of a hole your lower back would sink in.
This place is a joke, the room looks like to quickly put together. The swimming pool was more chemicals than water, which explains the chemical burns the kids got for swimming in it. After the stay, a family member was overcharged for the room for some reason, which the poor excuse for management couldnt explain and tried to pawn if off saying it was his banks fault for the nearly $800 dollar charges. Dont stay unless you want chemical burns from their pool and to walk away with random extra charges when checking out. Its no wonder when the place was first built, it failed the inspection.
Great place to stay! I stayed three nights in October of 2016 and just got back from another stay. The hotel has a shuttle service that makes my work trips beyond convenient. I love the Alfredo chicken on the menu downstairs and the bartender remembers everyone by name, she always has a smile on her face! To top it off the hot tub and pool are clean and make my evening complete. Beautiful ambiance in the lobby and nice work space. Highly recommended!!
Nice hotel. Good service - nice bar area, and the restaurant exceeded expectations! Couple of things - the main light switch in the room didnt actually control any lights, and the wifi was very weak, and kept dropping out. Will not stop me from staying here again though. Its also a very nice location.
What a hotel! The cookies and fruit flavored water were a nice cool off from a 90+ hot day, our room was huge, we had the king suite, it had 2 bathrooms and a living room with doors separating the king size bed, the tub was jetted which was really nice. Everyone there was friendly and helpfull, would stay there again
The hotel is great, staff is friendly and is located in a great spot. The only problem we had was the AC in the bedroom didnt work. The next morning before breakfast I asked the girl at the front desk to have it looked at, then after being out for most of the day came back and it was still not working. So we had to call down for them to send someone up. After it was fixed it work but did not work all that well.
Stay here! It may be a little out of your way if youre taking I-70, but its well worth the drive. Its a beautiful, clean hotel with nice employees. Id definitely recommend it. I stayed here for a night during a long road trip, and was very happy with my experience. Breakfast is great, and they have coffee and fruit-soaked water available all day.
Stayed in this hotel followed by a conference and the Christmas decor stole my soul. Its a nice homely hotel with a great staff to help you. Gourmet foods are also served from its own kitchen. I would recommend to stay in this hotel at least once during trip to Dayton 😍
The location is great at this hotel for business functions. Its near time of restaurants and shopping centers, as well as close to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The rooms were clean and fairly up to date. The staff was super friendly and courteous, as well as willing to help you with whatever you need.
Great hotel room. Modern, clean, everything down to the sink was spotless. Only thing that could have made the room better was a problem with the bathroom door (opened towards the main door which sometimes caused the main door to bang loudly against the bathroom) and my Ethernet cord was broken. Good breakfast, but not the best Hilton meal Ive had
Had a horrible experience here. Dont know what the went on with this place. The only reason Im give two stars instead of one is because the bartender made a spell more welcome than anybody else there. Management was rude very inconsiderate and their motto and their policy of trying to make the customer feel right is totally wrong. We booked our night through there direct booking agency through the Hilton hotel and we ordered a junior suite with a jetted tub and this was the on their site also so when we got there they tried to give us a deluxe room which is a regular tub and a rolled out bed and it was totally not what we asked for and they kept trying to tell us we didnt know what we were talking and basically was insinuating that we were lying and the manager that I guess there her name was Bev kept telling us basically while youre going to have to prove it to us what youre saying is true I called their sight back theyre booking site back and we end up having to pull up their own site and we had to actually prove it to her when we prove it to her she still a basically insinuating that this is not true and then when she did whatever and we proved it again and again she finally gave us a room that was what we were supposed to have that she said she never had because they were totally booked which was another lie this place is just I never thought and establishment can be so deceitful and their practices it was very horrible experience I doubt if Ill ever use my points or come back to this place ever again.
We were attending a Senegence training seminar on St. Patricks Day. We were greeted at the door, welcomed with coffee, tea, or cucumber water. Our room was more than large enough to accommodate all of us ladies. The lunch was wonderful and very well organized. The only complaint I had was there was a cold breeze blowing through the room. Other than that, it was a fabulous experience. Thank you so much!
The hotel itself is fine. Rooms were clean. I paid for breakfast in advance. They need to put stickers on room keys for those who pay in advance. I told her our room number. Her list was not according to room number. Of course our names were not on the list. I watched the wait staff go to every table telling people they were not on the list only for her to go to the desk and find we all had paid. I was made to feel like I was trying to sneak into breakfast. It was very harassing. Save yourself the hassle don’t book breakfast in advance. Just pay at the table. It’s really not that serious to pay this much for a hotel room and sneak into a $12 breakfast. Get it together Hilton Garden Inn.
We always have a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The handicap king suite with Jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The toilets, however, didnt flush well and the shower was poorly designed. Water flooded the floor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again.
Reserved a certain room and after we got there they said it wasnt available. Manager had no idea what she was doing. We had planned to stay the entire weekend but left early due to me falling on a wet floor with no sign. Ruined our fathers day weekend.Oh and we have stayed there multiple times before. This will be our last.
Ill say it was just okay.Hotel is clean, rooms are clean. Indoor Pool was FREEZING, so cold we could not swim at all (which was our main reason for choosing this hotel), hot tub was nice, until it was full from just one party of people so nobody else could get in (I know that isnt the hotels fault)... mini fridge didnt work, when I told a staff member she told me it would eventually cool down after I put a few things in it.... it didnt... I was still awake at midnight and it sounded like a slumber party of 15kids in the room next door, nothing changed when I called the front desk to ask if they could address the issue (and this was a first, I almost never complain about noise but this was just too much! I couldnt even get to sleep). There was no channel guide for either of the TVs in our room... and the TVs were oddly slow. FLipping from one channel to another took about 10 seconds between each channel, which is extremely frustrating when u just want to find ONE cartoon channel for your 2yr old to fall asleep to but it takes over 30min to find it. And lastly.... weve been charged more than the rate we were told at initial booking, and didnt even get the room we requested... I highly doubt we will come back even though this had been our preferred place once a year for 4 years. $175/night for a room that I cant even fall asleep in! And not even a free breakfast!
Im giving this place 5 stars despite all the phones in the entire building being inoperable for the length of our stay and the temp of the indoor pool being somewhere polar bear swim challenge level cold. The staff were all very cordial. They gave me zero attitude when I asked for extra pillows and blankets (I basically sleep in a cross between a pillow fort and a blanket nest. Stop judging me.) Ive had a lot of other hotels be downright hostile about this request. The room service was incredible. I was expecting mediocre microwaved bar food for room service since that is a common experience with mid-level hotels. Not the case here at all. The marinara was unbelievably good. (Ask for a side of it with extra parm, then dip your fries in it. Youre welcome.) The Cobb salad was also something to write home about when most salads are nothing but a slightly disappointing footnote. This outshined the experiences Ive had at verified 5 star hotels. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
Tile in the bathroom was cracked and missing grout. The hottub was broken and the indoor pool was FREEZING. There were no towels in the pool area. The breakfast was $9.99 and was comparable to a free breakfast at other hotels.Im very disappointed and will not be returning.
I was there with my family for an Easter brunch. The service was wonderful. Although my scrambled eggs were chilly when I had my first round of food. The server was extremely polite and knew how to take a joke. He was even kind enough to take a family photo for us. I will definitely be going back next year.
Great hotel, and great location. Had no problems at all with this hotel. Just needed a place to rest before we continued on with our travels. One thing though tried to take a hot shower and it took more than 15 mins to get lukewarm water. Very friendly staff at the front desk they greet you when you walk in and as you leave they say have a nice day or safe travels. Feels just like home.
My Niece got married here. They where so helpful and worked very hard to help and please everyone! We arrived little early they let us check in early the rooms where beautiful and clean. Cleaning staff done there job very well. I would highly recommend this one. I give them 10 stars !!!
Last week we stayed overnight at the Garden Inn in Beavercreek and had a very nice supper after being on the road many hours. Had an excellent waitress/ bar tender. Next morning after a great breakfast with grits we took off for Indianapolis. Later that afternoon I realized I left my hat sitting on the bed in the hotel. I phoned the hotel and spoke with Barbara who was very nice and checked with Housekeeping. They had my hat and I received it today. What a great staff and honest people who work there. Thank you so much as I had only last month purchased the hat in Denmark on a trip.
I am very dissatisfied with this hotel. And I am usually a fan of Hilton. It stated out that I was told we would have a sofa in the room.... Got there...we didnt. So I went to guest services while leaving my daughter and her friend in the room. They had brought dinner in with them. So they are their dinner. I was quickly switched into a different room. The girls met me at the new room. They left their trash from dinner in the first room. They were excited because the new room had a bath tub with Jets....I have to admit I was too. So we brought our stuff in and I told the girls to watch a movie because I was taking a bubble bath. My daughter then came to the bathroom to tell me they knocked on the door and dropped off a bag of trash outside the door. It was the trash from their dinner. Instead of throwing it away.. they dropped it off outside of the new room.... Very unprofessional... But wasnt going to let it ruin my bubble bath! Then she comes in crying. The front desk called her and told her we were being charged for the first room and $250 for smoking in the first room. Which was a joke because we werent even in the room long enough to smoke and didnt even bring anything into that room but their food. I told her calm down I would handle it after my bath. My husband then came and walked to the front desk to clear up the problem. He was told they would only deal with me. So I ended my bath and called the front desk. I was told the same thing. We were being charged because we trashed the room and it couldnt be rented because they had to spray it with ozone and it has to be empty for 8 hours after being sprayed... Again...we Didnt smoke! Didnt even have my cigarettes with me because we were going to eat before getting our things. So my purse was in the car. I only brought in my wallet. The manager then said we needed to leave. I said thats fine... The way I was treated I didnt want to stay anyways. I would leave when I got my money back. He said I wouldnt get a refund... And he was charging the room fee plus $250 for smoking....ummmm nope... That was not ok. He said he would call the cops to have me escorted off the property. I said... Yes, please do that. I wanted record of everything that happened. He then came to the room where I was waiting on the cops. He said I had smoked in that room as well. Am I a smoker... Yes.... Am I stupid.... No.... Still didnt have my cigarettes... And if I knew the cops were coming would anyone in their right mind light up a cigarette after being accused of smoking in a room already.. no way! The only thing I could think of is if he smelled it on my clothes. This was very disappointing and ruined my daughters birthday. This was supposed to be a relaxing girls night for her birthday! It did however end up fun. We stayed at another hotel who after being told about the first incident gave us a discount to help soothe the pain the Hilton caused...I guess they will get our business and recommendations from now on!!! Too add on... This morning my card was charged an additional $75.
I attended a business event in one of the meeting rooms. I wasnt able to spend much time outside the meeting but was impressed not only by the beautiful decor and the amazing staff. During our break I watched a staff member from the Hilton helping a young mother with a toddler who obviously didnt want to sit still. It was heart warming to see an employee take a couple minutes out of what Im sure was a very busy day and play with a kid of someone who wasnt even staying at the hotel. The Hilton has done a great job of hiring and training an amazing staff!
Walk in and greeted by a very friendly staff. I was given my complimentary bottles of water and breakfast voucher based on my Hilton status without needing to ask. My room was clean and quiet. Slightly dated television set, but was not locked down (so I could plug my laptop into the HDMI port with no issue.) Breakfast was hot, fresh, and quick.Drinks at the bar are your typical overpriced hotel bar fare. 10 for a single 15 for a double. The bartender complained subtly that I pay for my drink on a credit card and not charge it to my room.Overall positive experience. $150 for a Sunday night stay in a king room with whirlpool tub.
This was a very nice Hilton. It definitely lived up to the brand. My check in was quick because I used the AP. I love how they recognized by Hilton Honors status as well. It was great to walk into the room and see Keurig instead of the usual coffee pot. I have to say the staff was very friendly and greeted you every time you went pass them. They were helpful and will go out of their way to be sure your taken care of.I loved my breakfast Omelet as we well.
It was a great stay at the Garden inn. I almost never have an issue staying at Hilton. Always clean, friendly, and accommodating. The internet here was a bit sluggish but thats about it. Admittedly I only stayed overnight so I did only received a small sampling of this locations hospitality but it was worth it.
Charged me for a room that I had cancelled almost 2 months prior. I had booked the room through Expedia and cancelled through them. When I saw I was charged, I contacted the hotel who said they would refund me, thankfully, but they said it was on me to contact the hotel directly to cancel, even though I had cancelled through Expedia and the email stated everything was cancelled and there was nothing else for me to do. So a warning to all out there. Im a happy about the refund but I was made to feel like they were doing me a favor by refunding me for something I had long cancelled.
The hotel is nice. Restaurant, bar, fruit infused water and complimentary cookies in the lobby. The pool is small but there is also a hot tub. The room is a good size, clean, and comfortable with a king bed with an assistant mattress, a sleeper sofa and a desk to work at. Standard wifi is complimentary. Room has a mini fridge, microwave, and a kurig. However there was no safe in the room for valuables.
Friendly staff. Well-equiped room including ironing equipment (including spray bottle), hair dryer, Keurig, etc. There was a minor maintenance issue with the face place of the shower handle and the hot tub and pool seems outdated and has a slight funky old smell. But the hot tub being sufficiently hot and free cookies in the lobby saved this hotel from a three star and secured the fourth.
Very disappointed as our previous stay far outdid our expectations. This stay was a romantic getaway and it was not very romantic as the bed that was supposed to inflate for comfort did not work and there was a black ring in the toilet. Also there was a burger wiped on the wall in the bathroom. The vent in the bathroom did not work and when we advised staff we were initially told they would send up maintenance right away and 20 minutes later no one came. Called front desk back just to be told it was not broke that there was a constant flow even though it cant be heard. That was not true! Me and my man will NOT be staying at this hotel any more. Think we are going to put our hard earned money into a stay that is worth it
Not a fan of the renovated rooms... you get a mini ironing board not much higher than your knees, no more luggage rack, the cheap looking furniture looks the same as the newer Tru Hilton hotel series, just a different color. Lighting isnt great either. I flipped the light switch by the door as I entered, and at first, it didnt appear to do anything. Turns out it turns on 2 can lights not in the same room, and they are the type of bulb that comes on really dim, then gets brighter over time. Plus the bathroom was still dirty. Not what I expect for a $200 plus per night room from Hilton. Very friendly and helpful staff though!!
Stayed for three nights... Room was sold as two queen beds, but in reality they were double and horrible!!!! We were told you could adjust the firmness, which we did - both my husband and I sunk into the beds each night. AC barely worked, it was so hot in the room and the fridge stopped working. Ultimately when you book a room for 4 you will need a little space, this room was the size of a shoe box. Additionally, my son went down to see if they had any plastic silver wear and was told he couldnt have them because we didnt eat dinner in their dining room (never mind that we ate breakfast two mornings). Ive tried the Hilton three different times now for location convenience and I will no longer do this - Hampton Inn all the way. Overall an expensive stay that was completely uncomfortable and disappointing.
We have always loved this hotel everything has been perfect, except for this weekend we had a do not disturb sign on our door alittle after 11am the housekeeper was banging on our door(check out is noon) weve never been late to check out,it kind of ruined our mood in so many words. Besides that incident this hotel is very nice😁
Very friendly Bistro staff with an obvious commitment to customer service. Clean, comfortable rooms. They have a Keurig in each room as compared to competitor across the street who insults customers with contraption which produces two spits of coffee before clogging. In addition, this hotel offers free coffee in lobby, where competitor tries to sell it after equipping their rooms with broke machines.
We reserved the Evolution Whirlpool room online via Expedia and paid full in advance. When we went to check-in they let us know they didnt have any Evolution Whirlpool rooms available and that they overbooked, blah blah blah, B.S. They did their best to help and gave us a decent regular room but this was VERY disappointing. Im not sure if its Expedias fault OR the hotels fault itself. I called to get the price difference refunded and they said the room they gave us was more expensive... LOL, however, I looked up the pricing online and the room we got was $60 cheaper advertised price so whatever... I was gonna let it go until they keep hounding me for a review (Expedia)...
The worst experience that I have ever had. The manager was too busy to address an incident in the pool. My daughter’s friend got sick as a result of gagging on some water in the pool. The pool had to be cleared 20 minutes prior to closing. I paid $235.00 to have a manager tell me that he couldn’t help me when another patron was yelling at a 12 year old girl. Later after the incident, I asked the hotel manager to make the man leave so that we felt comfortable, he would not. There is a sign that guaranteed that the hotel would address and fix a problem and that is just not true. While I was inquiring about the customer satisfaction guarantee, Eric (the worst manager that I have ever witnessed) asked me to walk in the shoes of the other patron who had to depart the pool early. I almost fell over when that statement came out of his mouth I started to video the conversation and he stopped and told me that he would not continue until I stopped recording the conversation. I told him that if he would provide the guaranteed customer service, he wouldn’t have to stop. My daughter’s 12th birthday party was ruined because we had to pack all of our items at 11:00 p.m. and go to a hotel that felt safer. I will continue to escalate until something is done. I would not suggest that anyone waste their time or money on this hotel. The place that charges $235.00 a night and will let a grown man berate a 12 year old girl for an accident. I am so angry and upset. I don’t know what more to say.
I stayed in the hotel near Dayton. I stayed there overnight for a visit to University of Dayton the next day. The service was good as expected. The breakfast the next day was very good. The room we had was large and seemed to be kept very nice. There were no disruptions by other guests. Overall a great visit as I expect from hilton.
They charged the card twice due to a glitch in the system once they fixed that. We were downgraded in rooms and no one said anything about it. When we complained they told us the people that had our room was staying over and we couldnt have it even though it was reserved a month ago. They finally compensated us 13 dollars. Never staying here again. Should have went to motel 6 at least the light would have been on.
Hilton Garden is usually a great place to stay. This one is no different, except the mattress. Customer service is great, the hotel is well appointed and clean, and the service staff is exceptional. The mattress...hard as a rock! I used to enjoy visiting HGI for the comfortable mattress that takes you in and melts the day away. This new mattress has a firmness control switch, but even at its lowest point it is still a little too firm for my liking. Otherwise, great place to stay and good location for the area. Please Hilton, go back to the previous mattresses and ditch these new technology infused wood slab feeling mattresses.
Staff is very friendly and rooms are very nice and clean. On a non stay related note, I was a nursing mother when I was here for a training and wasnt staying in a room. I need a place to pump and the staff was extremely helpful in making sure I had a place where I would not be disturbed.
The hotel was nice. The room was nice. The problem was the antiquated HVAC. I had the maintenance man in the room 3 times, the last at 11pm with 2 fans. It was early September in Ohio and the room would not cool below 75 degrees. I was booked for a 3 night stay but checked out after 1 and moved to the Springhill Suites down the road.........with modern, functional HVAC.
They were the best people to work with to host a wedding. Amazing hotel staff! Rooms are big and wonderful. Over all the best experience! Josie DeDominici was incredible going above and beyond what she needed to do. While keeping in contact the whole time and made sure everything went smooth as could be. Melissa Plummer stepped in when needed, keeping in contact to answer many questions and she didnt leave untill she knew everything was good working close to 18 hours that day for us.
Had a Great Stay! I try to stay at these places wherever I go, so it make logical sense to book my last couple nights in Dayton while I was moving out and getting ready for a new job location. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and there was plenty of parking.
Do NOT stay with this hotel chain for any reason. They changed my room rate by 38 dollars in the middle of my transaction, but only upon my hitting confirm and giving me my bill. When I tried to call...their phone system was down and the alternate number did not go anywhere. I called the national number and was told to go to a different hotel and even gave names of hotels in the area. Who does this? No help at all or desire to keep my business and make this right. They said anyone could call in claiming a different price on a room than what was really posted. Utterly unhelpful and rude and making this all my fault saying it is standard practice for room rates to change at hotels. When I said not in the middle of a transaction...they said it was completely normal. No business operates like this. If I buy a car and agree to a certain price...It would be illegal to bill me for a different price on my final invoice. Never will I reserve a room with this chain again!!!! Signing up for their loyalty program was enough to apparently delay the transaction and get a rate hike in the middle of a transaction??? OH, and I just determined that the site was not working apparently because it looks like I did not even really get signed up for the loyalty program even though I went through the process to do so. Utterly ridiculous!!!!
I was recently at the Hilton for an organization event. The food, staff, hotel, and overall experience was great! I would definitely use this hotel for an event. I will also be recommending this hotel when family visits as it is only 5 min from my home. Great work guys! Keep it up
Guests beware! After this property failed an inspection on their pool they refused to shut it down as instructed. They knowingly put small children and guests in danger by doing so. I have been to this property many, many times over the last year and a half. I wont be visiting or recommending it to anyone anymore!
We were there for a Christmas party the room just looked like a big bland room and the food was disgusting the company paid for this very nice of them but I wouldnt go back if they paid me . NCR is miles ahead for an event like this there not perfect but Hilton made them look great and the food was much better
Upon arrival hotel informed me they did not have hot water and that they would refund me should I choose to stay elsewhere which I opted to do. Being from out of town I checked my statement to notice I was still charged for the room. The phone number to the hotel doesnt work and since I booked through expedia and they cannot reach them because the phone number does not work they cannot refund me. How does your main phone number on your website not work??????
We had our wedding reception / party at hilton garden inn. Josie was the contact / catering manager . She was an excellent contact. Very helpful. She made our event a biggggg success. Couldnt have asked for a better contact at Hilton. She was helpful in many ways from suggesting ideas to giving us a nice deal . If you get josie for your event management , I can guarantee you are in safe hands. Thank you Josie !

2022-02-22The hotel/rooms look nice but thats about it.After a long travel, the desk clerk was extremely rude and short while checking in. As I was confirming our room she answered the phone mid conversation and ignored my questions after handing me the room keys. Not to mention every clerk throughout the weekend looked as Id they had just rolled out of bed. So unprofessional. Our room space and bed were decent, however the shower ran out of hot water after 5 minutes every evening and the counters/surfaces were not cleaned/wiped down from the previous guests. With Covid, I would expect a hotel to be on top of their sanitizing game. We had to shower as quickly as possible which was not relaxing at all. The toilet wouldnt flush correctly so we had to press the lever twice every time. Breakfast wasnt available for the weekend and the pool was closed due to humidity making the fire alarm go offThe elevators rarely worked as well. For the price we paid, we would expect at least decent hospitality, a clean room, access to amenities and a warm shower to relax in after traveling. If I were a Hilton I would be ashamed to have my name associated to this place.

2022-06-22Rooms are very nice, front desk was very nice. The reason Im giving lower then 5 star is because nothing grosses me out more then random hairs that dont belong to me. With that being said I have a suggestion, either use paper towels, a Swiffer, or vacuum the hairs before you mop. Also the pillows were like a big puff of air. No support. So maybe bring your own pillow. The staff was very nice and when we checked out the lady that my husband spoke with at the front counter deserves 5 stars on customer service. We would possibly stay here again.

2022-05-30The keys werent working but the staff were great about bringing us to our room and opening our door for us. The room is nice but not overly lit and smelled a little musty. Not bad but little things. There isnt a complimentary breakfast but not a deal killer as I dont eat much for breakfast. Nice looking building with up to date decor and amenities.

2022-06-04The hotel had some issues during our week-long stay that were out of the control of the staff- unable to make room keys, exercise room closed. The staff was a very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and quiet.

2022-03-08Very modern and clean. Would really appreciate it if they would put more than 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel for bathing. Also, the k-cups are nice but we only had decaf. They can do better.

2022-04-09Very poor quality control. The room I received was unmade & dirty. They dropped off sheets for me to make the bed. Problems persisted throughout the stay ending with toilet seat falling off on the last day. Hotel carpets and elevator were filthy. Front desk not always occupied. After 5 years of business trips to this hotel, our company is making a change. What used to be a good hotel is really struggling this past year; ill-trained front desk staff with in-adequate management oversight.

2022-04-30Hilton staff is always a pleasure to meet. Rooms, on the other hand, not so much. Had to turn off the thermostat at night as it was making too much noise ( to be fair, most hotels have the same problem and my hubby slept like a log as always!), toilet stopped working last day of our stay, not enough towels or kleenex (three sheets is not enough), and someone came into the room to change towels even tho I was told that wouldnt happen unless I asked for fresh linen (which I ecologically minded wouldnt). Overall, we had a great hiking and biking trip. BUT would think twice about staying at a Hilton next time (and Im a gold member!!)

2022-04-10I will not stay there again. First they put me in the wrong room and could not switch due to no availability. And did not give me the different or offer too.Second room looked out dated and too only gave us 1 towel. Yes I realize I can call down for more but thats not the point. For a king room with pull out I would assume they would at least put 2 towels in each room. Third the hall smelled of Cannabis. Not something I want to smell.

2022-03-14Positive: Location only Negative: All amenities were unavailable. Business room, pool area. The rooms/hallways are very noisy. No exhaust fans in the bathroom. Signs they have posted indicate a buffet but it is not free. Very expensive
