Hilton Garden Inn CincinnatiMason in Mason
You won’t find a better hotel in the area. Daniel leads an amazing team. The front desk staff - Shelly, Marie, Jessica are very welcoming and attentive. Maya, the housekeeper was great as well. I stayed here for two weeks and it felt as close to home as it can get on the road. Fireplace and the Christmas decorations in the lobby make the hotel feel more like a second home. Breakfast is amazing too! You won’t be disappointed, this place is very good.-Tom
Room accidentally got double-booked; Had booked it on the hotels site and I dont know how this happened. Booked this specific room (whirlpool suite) for my SO to have a night to herself, the first since our son was born almost 2 years ago. While the double-booking was very upsetting, the manager-on-duty not only refunded me, but also provided us a free nights stay for the same suite. She did an excellent job hearing my SOs story and doing what she could to make the situation better.
My husband and I checked into this hotel last night because it was suggested as a stay for a wedding occurring nearby. The hotel itself is nice but nothing out of the ordinary. The desk clerks were cordial upon check-in. I requested a steamer and was surprised that none was available throughout the hotel. They did say that the iron had steaming capabilities. The room itself was comfortable if a little dated. My two complaints were that this was the darkest room and bathroom I had ever been in in a hotel. To try to apply makeup or even just to see what I was doing in the room with all of the lights on was a challenge. I did use the ironing board and iron for the dress I was wearing to the wedding and struggled as my skirt was satin and the cover on the ironing board was so thin that I had to place a towel on top of the ironing board so as not to iron the imprint of the metal board onto my satin skirt. Check out was easy and again the desk clerk was friendly.
It served its purpose for a quick family getaway but it definitely isnt your typical Hilton. The breakfast is an upcharge and is very limited. A typical Hampton has a better, free breakfast. The hostess slipped me the bill before I had my first bite of food. This made me feel it was tip me and get out. The room was clean and pretty roomy but the bed was hard and the pillows were whisper thin. Our room keys kept de-activating and the front desk lady was rude when we asked for help. Jarrod was a bright spot at the front desk. He was kind and helpful. Hopefully, hes just working his way to another position elsewhere. Save yourself Jarrod.
This is our second stay here, both times have been exceptional. We had an issue with our first stay and the Manager Daniel worked diligently to not only make it right but to exceed expectations. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, not only is it very clean and well maintained but Daniel and his staff are the definition of professionalism and excellence. One of the best hotels weve ever stayed in, could not recommend more.
Booked a stay at the Hilton, I initally requested to upgrade my room and was told there were no vacancies and the hotel was full. On my way up I got online and was found that the receptionist wasnt being truthful as I was able to book a room. Then when I went upstairs my room was overlooking this. The room smelled of Mold and I happened to have been travelling with my son who has allergies. I snapped this pic and my room was quickly changed. Overall the stay was great, the second room was fine although it still had an odor but I brought some odor ban which remedied that. The rooms were quiet and the staff were nice but the initial encounter left a bad taste.
Had a great stay! Staff was amazing and helpful, very clean hotel with great breakfast. Would recommend to anyone staying at kings island. It’s only a 10 minute drive. There’s graeters ice cream in the parking lot that is walkable and Marshall’s right across the street. 10/10 for location as well!
Staff was very nice which saved the stay; however, if you are looking for any perks for Gold status you wont get any as wasnt even offered the food and beverage credit. Extremely overpriced for dollars and points.Update - The manager reached out to me and was very kind and helpful and made things right. She was very kind and I have updated my review accordingly.
If your last name is in the last half of the alphabet- DONT MAKE RESERVATIONS here!We reserved a king SUITE - to have more space and 2 separate rooms- had my daughters boyfriend with us so purposefully found a hotel with a suite. Advised hotel day before we would be checking in late- they said no problem they would make notation. Arrive after a long day at KI. They gave my room away bc they ‘overbooked.’ How does that happen when booking directly with the hotel?!?! It is the sole PURPOSE of the reservation! Was told that they assign rooms the day of by alphabetical order (last name)- so if your name is low in the order- be aware you may not get a room. Was also told some people who arrive later (with reservations) may not get a room at all.! What in the world?!?! Is this Hilton policy and practice? I was told YES! They overbook In case someone cancels (so they maximize their profit regardless of customer service or reservation). Wow! I was shocked! That should never happen (at least if you want to keep loyal customers- which we were up until this point). They did ‘squeeze’ me into a double room- after the original move to a regular king ( had 4 people- that wasn’t gonna work). Got to our room- keys didn’t work so we ended up back downstairs again. The room itself was clean so that was good. Unfortunately, this location had Poor customer service and management.
I had a fantastic stay here. I was in town for Kings Island and this is a little farther away, but much better than the hotels closer to the park that Ive stayed at. Well worth the extra drive. The rooms are clean, the lobby is nice, it has plenty of amenities, and the staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be staying here for my future trips to the area.
Do not hesitate booking your stay here at this hotel. Absolutely the cleanest hotel I have been in, in a long time. Smells nice when you walk in. Extra thick towels in the pool area. Clean, Clean, Clean. I loved the Keuring coffee machine and the bottled water in my room! Thank you. Everything was in working order. The beds, oh my gosh, so comfortable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Walking distance from an amazing ice cream shop!!
Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati/Mason was a very clean hotel with an extremely friendly staff. It was my experience the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and made accommodations at the very last minute they had no obligation to make.If I ever have need to stay in the area again I will choose the Hilton Garden Inn.
For starters, the only reason I picked this hotel was because it had a restaurant and bar located in the hotel. At $158 I thought it would be a fun couples getaway. When we got there, the restaurant and bar were closed due to lack of employees, the pool was closed and the room was disgusting!! Also, we went down in the morning for breakfast, and boxes that they offered, were only for “Hilton members” which we are not. The restaurant and pool closed was not listed on website, so make sure if you are staying here to call and check first. I didn’t use anything in the room because it looked like it had never been cleaned. Never again will I stay at a Hilton hotel.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.Rooms are a bit worn and need updating. One of the 2 treadmills in the workout center was in need of repair.Breakfast was decent, but not worth the regular price of $10.95. Voucher given at check in for breakfast lowered the cost to $10 for up to 4 people was a better deal.
This place is my home away from home. The whole staff Dan, Laura and everyone will bend over backwards to make your stay the best. They treat me like family. I have had one issue in the many times I have stated here. It was fixed within the hour. They make things right if you do have an issue. The food is great and the hotel is in a great area with plenty of food choices attend. There is an ice cream store in the parking lot! One of the best hotels in my all travels.
Stayed here two nights on business.Staff went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming, at the desk and also at breakfast. The rooms were nice and clean. The bed was hard as a rock but I adjusted the bed and it was better after that. Nice feature if you’re familiar with it, but being dead tired from travel certainly makes it a bit harder to figure out. I included shots of the card if that helps anyone. No USB ports in the room that I could find near desk or bed, standard plugs from the lamps however.Fitness center and pool looked nice and clean.Morning breakfast was standard fare, all good and all well maintained.Overall I enjoyed my stay and was very pleased with everything, I would come back again!
My experience was pretty awesome the woman at the front desk was the sweetest her name is Paige. She was kind, courteous, helpful and an altogether breath of fresh air. My stay was great but she is honestly the one i am giving the 5 stars to. This place was very clean, cozy, and it was a great place to spend date night with my husband, but meeting Paige was the best part.
The hotel is nice and clean. It smells great and the room temperatures are easy to control. The beds, however, are not comfortable and rock hard. I tried to adjust the firmness and it didnt work. The pillows are way too flat. The pool is freezing and there is no hot tub. With all that being said, they have very nice staff and our experience was good.
Superb place for stay. Clean, provided the best service, spacious room and lots of parking space. Their breakfast service is also nice with some amazing options. Although their TV is old and not working that well. But my overall experience was really nice. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Spacious bedroom. But I fought the sheets all night. They didnt fit the mattress correctly and kept bunching up at my feet. I was surprised that such a nice hotel couldnt do better with the bedding. Took a while to get food at the restaurant, especially since we were the only ones there. But, all in all, it was a nice place.
We have a two night stay for my husbands birthday. So far it has been wonderful. Great customer service. We drove from Indiana to go to Kings island. First we thought we got the Whirlpool pool room in our package, and we didnt get it. The fantastic girl named Sam at the front desk gave us an upgrade for free for the inconvenience. It has rained all weekend. If it wasnt for the Hilton Inn it would have been ruined. The Whirlpool tub felt amazing. The indoor pool was clean and comfortable. The outdoor dining is beautiful at night. And last but not least the breakfast buffet was amazing. (Eat the fruit and yogurt parfait!). But it was a little pricey when all I ate was a yogurt parfait ..I would change that only. Thank you Hilton Inn for the great time and wonderful Memories..❤️
We stayed here for 3 nights and thr front desk was very nice and welcoming... room was clean and pool area was clean as well... one night some random $9 and some change popped up on my credit card for 2 different transactions and I asked the front desk and the lady was unsure what it was for but she said she would have her manager look at it when she got in later that day and both the charges were takin off my card.... I have to say this was the friendliest hotel staff I had ever met especially the 3 that were there when we checked in and we seen a few times after that ad well... always getting us and asking about our day and offering waters to us and our two kids it was so nice and welcoming
We stayed Easter weekend. The hotel is very clean and the front desk staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Heres my issue. The room was very small. The photos on the website are very misleading. The bathroom was extremely compact, the toilet almost touches the sink. There is no way for two people to get in there together. The bed was very hard and we did not sleep the three nights we were there. If you are a coffee drinker bring your own K-Cups, creamer and sugar. They provide two reg coffee, one decaf and a tea. They charge for extra k-cups. I asked for extra cream and sugar and was left one each.
Though the front desk is very friendly and eager to help, the cleaning crew seems a bit lazy. One of them has an attitude. I have been staying here 2 weeks in a month for the past 2-3 months. Nonetheless, will continue to stay here but will get my own bed sheets and pillow covers.
Rooms were nice and spacious, with somewhat comfortable beds. Staff was seemingly friendly, but we were very disappointed with the extra prices tacked on for every little thing including WiFi services. After paying 200+ for a room we were essentially just spending 8 or 9 hours in for rest, to be asking such high prices for amenities other hotels would offer at lower prices, if not free, seemed a little insulting. However, our stay overall was quite enjoyable, and we appreciate the hotel for what it was.
This hotel has been fabulous! Celeste at the front desk was always cheery and bright and very helpful with every request. The kitchen and the bartender were also amazing. I asked them to heat food I bought at the grocery and they went above and beyond. Even cut up my vegan pizza!
There was no bathtub in the suite where we stayed, and the a/c needed a filter change, which caused the room to be so sweltering hot that I couldnt sleep before going to a big event that I had been anticipating for months. The employee who delivered our room service was taciturn and unfriendly, even though we tipped her on top of the mandatory tip we were not aware of. The only saving grace was the helpful front desk employees and the wonderful maintenance man.
This stay was a Christmas present from my mother. Although the room was nice, the room did not have pillows or a comforter ready for pull-out bed and the breakfast was $10 per person which I thought was a but high for someone who just wanted a muffin. The room itself and the customer service was great. Thank you
New and nice building and lobby. The sheets in our beds had very suspicious stains, and this is the nicest way to describe it. I almost threw up. We had to ask to switch the rooms in the middle of the night, since we arrived late. Would not go back or recommend to anyone.
I found most of the front desk people pleasant. My only complaint was the cleanliness of our room. It appeared that neither dusting, vacuuming or cleaning mirrors were part of the system. I traded in our towels only to be told they had none to replace. Bathrooms received an all too quick swipe of surfaces. One of the beds had a large coffee stain spill which I discovered when I made up the bed. A tad shoddy.
We stayed here for a wedding ceremony at Mannor House. The hotel was slammed. All of the rooms were sold out. The bride and groom were told that they couldnt check in until the bridal suite was ready--check in was at three, and they didnt get in until 5:30. Luckily for me, we were able to get in our room early so, theres that. Room was clean, the front desk was gracious to us. Wish I would have noticed the beds were adjustable. There was a card, but I ignored it.
Stayed here for a work meeting and I thought it was a really nice hotel. The room was clean and well stocked with anything myself or my roommate would have needed. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. They do have an onsite restaurant with a bar. We sat out on the patio the one night that we were there. It was comfy and plenty of seating for the 14 of us. The beds seemed to be adjustable but I was not able to figure that out...but then again I didnt try that hard either. :) Id stay here again if I was needing a place to stay in the Mason, OH area.
This Hilton Garden Inn gives a nice first impression but, when you actually stay there, you find things are very unorganized. My wife and I booked two rooms to stay in for our wedding weekend, one for one night and one for two nights. We checked in to both rooms the night before and requested digital keys. When we arrived at the hotel, I checked into my room perfectly fine, but they gave away our suite to another guest even though we already had a key to that room! Long story short, they ended up comping both of our rooms for a night. The beds have some sort of weird memory foam mattress topper that is not very comfortable either. The service is okay, they allowed us late check-out which was good since we wanted to have pictures of us getting ready before the wedding. Overall, I wouldnt stay at this Hilton again unless they had a major sale going on.
So far this hotel is a huge disappointment. We checked in and they gave us a room that beds were not made or cleaned and someones previous room key was still there. Got a new room and the fridge isnt working and smells bad. The beds are not comfortable. The pool is small and tbere are so many chemicals that adults not in the pool couldnt see from eyes burning. The site we reserved the room said free breakfast and it isnt.
This was by far, one of the best hotel experiences Ive had. Stayed in April 2015. Our group traveled to the Cincinnati area to visit Kings Island and some other area attractions. A rain storm began just as we arrived at Kings Island around 11:00AM. We called the Hilton Garden to ask if we could come in and swim at the indoor pool since check-in was not until 3:00PM. Hotel Staff member Michelle said she would have a room ready for us and we could check in as soon as we arrived (around 11;20AM). Evening hotel staff member Dev, was also extremely helpful and accommodating. Facility Engineer Ed spent some time explaining the salt water pool and ensured we had a warm and comfortable pool to spend some time in during the storm. All in all, these employees really stood out and went above and beyond to make our trip great. The hotel was well equipped, very clean, easily accessible, modern, and convenient to a multitude of shopping/attractions. We will definitely be coming back in the future, and highly recommend.
Had the room with a hot tub. Jets were a little dirty, but stuff cleaned them after we asked. Much better after the cleaning.Room was gargantuan, could of had 15 people in room if you wanted.Bed was very firm, which I didnt mind at first, but for debit incredibly hard to sleep on.
First night, pulled back covers to get in bed and found body hair and stains on sheets, went to front desk immediately. Had someone change sheets. 2nd night, dirty towels from bathroom were left in the middle of the entryway, didnt complain about that, tub wasnt draining properly, ankle deep water by the time shower was done. 3rd night, bed was not made. Went to front desk, sent emails with pictures of everything. They fixed the drain and bbn on the last night housekeeping was great. Dont like to complain but the level of service was not as expected and they are paying people to do jobs they are not completing. Hotel management did offer to add points to my Hilton HHonors thats a plus thank you!
Ive staying here. My third stay here over the last year and the hotel staff and service is excellent. The rooms are impeccably clean. The in hotel restaurant has a fantastic breakfast and good selection of food for dinner/lunch. Highly suggest the sirloin steak, its great !
Stayed here the week of Christmas while visiting family. Overall, this is pretty much your typical Hilton Garden Inn - its nice, its clean, and the staff is mostly friendly and efficient. The only issue we ran into was in the couple of days around Christmas itself, the restaurant staff completely and obviously did not want to be there. I understand that they have things around Christmas that they need/want to do besides be there, but they closed early, opened late, and generally made us feel like we were a nuance for being there. This was very un-Garden Inn. Ive stayed in dozens and this was first time I had any real problems like this. That being said, the front desk staff was good and helpful and the place was spotless. If these reviews let me do half stars, Id actually give it 3.5, but since it doesnt, Im rounding up.
Stayed not in a room, but at daily conference room meetings for two weeks. Rooms were always tidy. Restrooms next to them always seen cleaned daily. Front desk helpful and even held our meeting supplies locked up over the weekend. Was able to use their guest WiFi when our business hotspot went down. The heat in one room was wonky but they brought in a commercial heater to use. Great visit.
Rooms are clean, but Walls are paper thin can hear neighbor snoring and people laughing... didn’t sleep well. Also breakfast isn’t till 7am and NO coffee till then either. Coffee tastes bad and not fresh ... Also they are obsessed with your small child having their breakfast ticket (which they only give one ticket for the family) if they want to go ahead of you even though you pay $140 per night with extra for breakfast. Pool was closed and exercise equipment did not work properly after we had to wait to be let in to work out... did not enjoy my stay.
I travel 2 weeks out of the month and I found the Hilton Garden in Mason to be one the cleanest Motels I have ever stayed at. The staff was excellent and professional. We ordered room service and food was fresh and all cooked to order. Chocolate Brownie was awesome.. Better food than most 5 star restaurants. Will stay at this Hilton every time I am close in the future...Thank you so much.Monty MesalamThoroughbred Roofing & Home Design.C
Stay was ok. We were here on a busy weekend while tournaments were going on so it was busy and louder. Pool was a no go too busy with all the kids. Our tv channels were not working much because of the rain. The room was clean (big positive) so that made the stay comfortable. Staff was friendly. No complementary breakfast here. Next time I will consider staying at the hotel Nextdoor that offers the complementary breakfast and has no complaints of tv going out in the rain.
Dont stay on the 3rd floor! They must use the 4th floor for cleaning or something all we heard was banging and loud footsteps all morning and day long. From our arrival at 8am throughout the day. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The microwave is the old dial up kind (not digital). I could go on but why bother. Breakfasts arent free. Theyre an extra 10 bucks. Stay elsewhere. Plenty more to choose from.
The staff here were great and the location was good, however the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. We were also disappointed that the bar wasnt open until 5, as other Hilton Garden Inns weve stayed at, the bar was open for us to order Bloody Marys and Mimosas with breakfast.
One of the best Hilton Gardens in north Cincinnati. Always clean and welcoming. The area around the hotel is filled with good restaurants and great safe area to jog. Whomever said the beds are hard doesnt pay attention. Hilton Gardens all have adjustable firmness beds.
Check in was prompt and very friendly. We stayed to go to Winterfest at Kings Island. All staff was friendly and very helpful. We had the breakfast buffet. It was very good. Meat quiche, plenty of bacon, sausage patties, cold ok and hot coffee. As well as many other options to choose from. Will be back or recommend.
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati/Mason was phenomenal. Each was very friendly and accommodating. My daughter was sad that they didnt have the cookies out that she saw a day earlier. The kind young man at the front desk asked the chef and they made 4 cookies special just for myou daughter. The pool was warm and serene. The restrooms, hotel room, lobby, restaurant, pool, outdoor patio, parking lot, elevators, and hallways were all very clean and lived up to the high expectations I have for a Hilton.
If you have a problem and need security you are on your own. There isnt any. staff would not even call law enforcement. If you want to pretend to care please get the facts straight. The driver followed us into YOUR property and threatened my and my families safety first of all. Second we were guest there, my sons school rented the conference rooms for testing. Your response only shows further you and your staff lack of concern for what goes on at your property. This occurred on your property and it was your place to call law enforcement when it was requested.
The room itself was fine, except for the random blob of sticky white goo on one of the paintings. The lady working the breakfast area snapped at us for presuming to try to get some food at 6:58, when breakfast didnt start until 7:00. Everything was already out, but she was adamant that no muffins could be eaten until the appointed hour.
The rooms world well furnished with nice amenities and the staff was very pleasant and wonderful in every way. That said I was disappointed that breakfast was not complimentary, and that Hilton still charges $5 a day for internet able to stream high definition video. It is no fault of this location or its staff for not obtaining 5 stars. They deserve 6 stars. But Complimentary breakfast and broadband internet is standard in 2015 for a holiday inn theres no excuse for Hilton
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mason Ohio this weekend. I was surprising my husband for his birthday and our anniversary. The staff was amazing. I must say that Michele the morning manager and Liz were the bestest. Thank you for assisting me to make this surprise for my husband memorable.
Located close to the highway, professional service. Adequate rooms, personally I dont like the protruding bed frames, always hitting my legs on them. Ill-fitting sheets, had to try to pull them down over the mattress numerous times. DirecTV a plus, lots of movie channels.
Booked the hotel on September 28 for September 29 Through Orbitz. Wanted to cancel due other reasons. Couldnt cancel without having a penalty. The policy was: Cancellations or changes made after 11:59pm (Eastern Daylight Time (US & Canada)) on Sep 27, 2017 or no-shows are subject to a property fee equal to the first nights rate plus taxes and fees.Oh okay, Because setting a hard date makes sense. Most hotels give 24-48 hours BEFORE check in date for cancellation without penalty.Dont book through Orbitz Lesson learned
I had a business trip in OH and accidentally booked a room at a hotel about 45 mins from our office. Hilton Garden came through for me and was able to accommodate me last minute at 10:30pm. I generally stay at Hiltons when I travel on business and this is one of the reasons why.
Everything was ok until I realized how dirty the sheet was... after i saw this I could not even explain what to fe! Will not say much, but this is not all of it.. i was so disgusted to take a photo of the rest.. called thefront desk and they just handed me new sheets to changemy own bed.

2022-04-10I was lucky to have got let down by another brand for being over booked and I found this wonderful small hotel which gave me a 5 star treatment. Marie, upon checking in she did a wonderful job with a smile and great positive attitude. The rooms are clean, the hotel is family friendly and I decided to joint Hilton Honors because of their cozy and welcoming service. Services available are very adequate when visiting this calm and wonderful town.

2022-04-29Very friendly very accommodating the room and washroom for disability was the best I’ve come across. Checking in 2 dogs also accommodating I’ll be switching to Hilton rewards moving forward as the Marriott and Holiday inn chains does not except animals. The lobby and sitting area was fabulous, comfortable inviting with cozy fireplace

2022-02-27Clean, bed was comfy. The receptionist was super nice and helpful we added another night without a problem. :) Parking is great. Only 4 stars because no breakfast and the heat doesnt work so well.

2022-06-27Positive: It was very nice, clean and priced well. Negative: I wish there had been some sort of breakfast option besides the restaurant down stairs. I know nicer hotels doesn¿t do free breakfast, but I actually like even the go bags with a cereal bar and bottle of water.

2022-04-17My husband & I came to enjoy a day here & we purchased our room with breakfast tickets which cost extra. This morning we went down for breakfast & were given a Menu & we were ready to order when the lady told us everything on the menu is not included in the breakfast ticket! The only thing included is pastries & cereal & oatmeal! NO EGGs, No Sausage, No Bacon, No Waffles! I ask if we could be refunded for the breakfast tickets & the answer was NO! We travel a lot & never seen a breakfast like this😔 So if you are looking for a nice breakfast with your stay that you have to pay for to even have it this is not the place sorry! But the rooms were nice & clean. I had to give it 3 stars for this reason.

2022-07-09It was Nice Very clean. And what little interaction we had with staff was Good. Front Desk was Polite had a little trouble finding our reservation due to my mistake when booking the room on internet I hit the D meaning to hit S for Shipman. Only thing I can complain about was that if we wanted our room cleaned before check out we was to call. So we go to Front desk and request that our room be cleaned while we was going to be out all day and needed towels for that night and next morning and the second person we met she said we was supposed to call Housekeeping by 7:00AM the morning of. And she neither gave us a number to Housekeeping but said she would call them and let them know. We didn’t get to shower that night or the next morning. We slept past our alarm and barely got out before check out. So we had to wait til we returned home to shower. A 4.5 hour drive to home after spending the day before in the heat at Kings Island and had to wait to shower. Put extra towels in the closet for when people book a few nights stay. Who wants to get up before 7 to call Housekeeping when they’re on a mini vacation.

2022-05-31This place was not clean, and it had lots of alive and dead bugs in the room. My wife found a moving bug in the bathroom. This was unacceptable. I believe this hotel has a bad bed bug problem. Do not stay here. Room 115 was nasty!

2022-06-19Pool has been closed but listed on sites as swimming hotel. Pool sign states closed by city. My family was devastated. There is not good ventilation in bathroom. Bring a can of air fresh.
