Scam 2weeks plus ago I filled out application paid app fee and admin fee no one called me I called last week talk to someone ( still in call log ) explain no one never called me and I found another place I need my refund they stated someone will call just got a call today a week later from that call and was told I couldn’t get back my admin fee cause I was approved i told her no one ever contacted me to let me know I was approved she like well unfortunately we can’t
If I could give 6 stars I would have!! I lived here 5 years ago, moved for my job and when I came back this was my first choice! I was so happy when I walked in and saw Rachel and Sarah still there! They are incredible and make living here so great! Not only are they quick with responses but also getting things done! I had to move quickly and they made it happen! This time however, its different... the apartment I got was white on white! Having lived here before I cant tell you how much cleaner and up to date the white looks! I loved my apartment before but didnt care for the wood... but now, I cant say enough how my I love my apartment! All my decorations even match! I was worried about it not matching with the wood... I could go on and on.. but to cover everyone, maintenance is also great! They get things fixed quickly and living here through the winter, I cant say how much I appreciate the snow removal! Coming from a place that didnt do this, Im grateful!Now the only thing I dont care for is the doors.. they tend to come off track easily. Nothing I cant handle though.. and If I cant fix it, maintenance does with in a day!So, overall I love my place! More apartments should be this great with updating to the white, maintenance being great, and staff amazing!
Highland Park has been my home for fourteen years and it couldnt be nicer. Sarah and Rachel are extremely efficient and professional. On Christmas Day several years ago, I was rushed to the emergency room and my stay would be about 4 weeks. Most of my good friends were gone for the holidays and I was anxious to get my cat into someones home. To no avail, I called Rachel and asked if she would enter my apartment, retrieve my kitty, and board her at my vet on Hill Road. She happily obliged me and I was breathing easier. At that time, I barely knew Rachel and will never forget her kindness.Maintenance is also top notch. When I put in a request, the maintenance men respond the same day or the day after. In my past experiences in other places it was sometimes difficult. I was really surprised (and pleased) to see how quickly they work.Lastly, this complex is dog friendly and that is the cherry on top.I have signed a new lease and have no plans to vacate.Great job, everyone.
Highland park has bed bugs. Treating the bed bugs in the apartment below us heated our apartment to over 100 degrees and we were NOT notified ahead of time, we had a dog in our apartment and if we were not home that could’ve been extremely dangerous. When we called all they had to say was “sorry”. It’s pretty ridiculous, the maintenance men are awful and the office ladies are unorganized and frankly just stupid. Upon move out we were LIED To about the prices of what needed replaced and the “joint” inspection lasted 2 minutes which they later added things onto our bill when we were not there to go over it with them. Get better management.
This is a fantastic place to live. Everybody here is so nice and unbothered with people. Rachel and Sarah are the perfect duo to keep this place in order. They will always work with you wherever you need them. Maintenance is always on call during work hours. Any problems that come, they are at your apartment quick, fast, and in a hurry. They all make it fun to live here, and i HIGHLY recommend Highland Park Apartments!!!!!
Highland park was absolutely amazing until Sarah and Rachel left. If I could get out of my lease now I wouldn’t hesitate. The apartments are outdated, and the people in the office are terrible. The only thing I can say is great in this place is the maintenance men.
Highland Park Apartments is a great place to live in. Rachel and Sarah in the management office are awesome! They made me feel right at home. The maintenance staff are great as well! Very nice amenities. I going to miss them!
I have lived in Highland Park Apartments with my family (2 adults, 2 kids) for almost 3 years now and we cant beat the location (grocery, pharmacy, shopping, restaurants, bike path, Blacklick Park - all within 2-3 miles), school district, affordability, sense of security, amenities (pool, gym, playground), and space. The few minor issues we have had, the maintenance staff has handled them thoroughly and promptly. Sarah and Rachel are always friendly, available, and helpful. They ask about our kids, and even make an appoint to say hi when we see each other off the property. I wouldnt hesitate to live here if I to do it over again.
I have lived here for almost four years and I have absolutely no complaints! Excellent staff who are friendly and treat you like family. They quickly resolve issues and provide a personal experience. Maintenance is kind and extremely quick to respond to requests. Great amenities and the complex is well kept and clean. Safe neighborhood and quiet neighbors. A quick jump on I-70 and youre within fifteen minutes of downtown, Ohio States campus, or Easton. I highly recommend Highland Park for anyone looking for an affordable apartment, in a nice area, with a decent commute to anywhere in the Columbus metropolitan area!

Very clean quiet love the Hospitality everything about this place says IM at home.the maintenance staff are wonderful very good at there job an quick on site I love it.An I love that I have the best leasing Consultant Ms Samantha Roeder.Ms Samantha you have been nothing but nice generous kind an outgoing with my stay here at highland park.If I have had any problems you fix them for me always keep me updated on events wats going on around the complex I like that.Just very helpful I couldn’t of asked for a better leasing Consultant thanks Ms Samantha for making me feel so welcome 🤗
I just went to see the apartments at Highland Park and was left with conflicting feelings. The girl in the office (Sarah) was amazing. Right away, we were greeted and felt comfortable. This was a relief as I had just left seeing another apartment where the lady was very rude. Sarah asked what we were looking and was able to find something right away. The property was beautiful and pool was the most decent size I have seen during my apartment hunt. We walked over to the apartment and all in all, it seemed a little dated. These apartments are from the late late 70’s-early 80’s I believe so keep that in mind. The apartment itself was huge and had a nice feel to it. The space in the enterance/living and dining room area was HUGE. It had a balcony (with storage) which was a nice selling point. The appliances/light fictures and door were dated. The only negative is that the rent is too high considering the dating of the apartments ($1,000) give or take with rent and utilities included. Sarah was very understanding and took the time to speak with us and recommend some areas that may better fit out budget/taste. I really appreciated it. She even took my number down to be able to contact me quickly if anything with rent changes which I also appreciated. I could see myself dealing with the old apartment if the rent was a decent price. I knew that if I lived here, I would be cared for as more than a tenant, as a person. That was the only bummer but besides that, the area and management, I would recommend right away. Ask for Sarah!
So, I can only put one star... but if I could I would put half that I would. But I would say save your money and look somewhere else for an apartment! The landlords and property manager are horrible with communication! They never get back to you! The one star rating can go to the maintenance workers they were wonderful ! They get back to you asap and fix the problem.
Staff is a amazing, Sarah and Rachel stayed in touch with me my whole move in process. Helped and made sure I was comfortable with everything , met my needs in every way prior and moving in. Place is quiet like I like it and everyone seems friendly and these apartments are managed how a 5 star community should be managed. Thanks again Ladies!
I have lived at Highland Park since 2012 and have loved it...Sarah & Rachel were awesome when they were here and NOW Samantha has taken their reigns and doing above and better...sadly I am moving however I will miss all of the staff including the maintenance team Jack & Kyle who were ALWAYS so prompt when I had to put in a service call....Lastly LISA is the best too...I Will MISS everyone & my fur baby Tootsie 🐾 will too...
Everything has been good for the most part. However I have seen my neighbor has a very large agreesive breed dog. When I am walking home many times I can not get into my apartment because they are outside the door and the dog is very forcefully pulling on the owner and leash trying to attacking me. There is a policy on dog breeds and weight limit, but it is apparently not enforced.
If i could give a zero, i would. I lived here for 2 years and have never been late on my rent for two years, I had two floods in my apartment, where my walls and carpet was mildew due to the down stairs apartment flooded by fire. I was patient with them while they took there sweet old time to repair my apartment. However I decided to end my lease with wear and tear and they refused to give me back my deposit for 700.00. NEVER BEEN LATE ON MY RENT FOR TWO YEARS. They made all types of excuses and reasons why I could not get money back, they had nothing factual just went on assumptions. This complex has gone downhill drastically IS THE REASON WHY I DECIDED TO MOVE OUT. SARAH AND RACHEL WAS SO UNKIND TO ME WHEN I DECIDED TO MOVE, THEY WERE NASTY TO ME AND YELLING AT ME AND EVEN HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME, EVEN WORSE I WENT TO THE CORPORATE MANAGER AND SHE WAS EVEN WORSE, THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR TWO YEAR TENTANT WHO NEVER GAVE YOU ANY ISSUES, NONE. MY apartments WAS old and customer service is horrible. Watch out because a lot of tenants told me that they charge you for stuff that is already broken. THAT’S WHAT THEY DID TO ME. This is the kicker a week before we moved out my ex-wife came to my apartment to help me pack, however my Ex-wife went out to her car and noticed exterminator truck was OUTSIDE OUR APARTMENT. However, there WAS A mobile bed bug heat treatment trucks, outside of MY apartment treating our neighbors apartments FOR BEDBUGS, THE NEIGHBOR asked me do I have problems with bed bugs, I stated as of this moment no, she said I have them and you need to get your house exterminated BECAUSE THEY TRAVEL MY RESPONSE TO HER I said I am moving in a week AND it does not make ANY sense LET SOMEONE ELSE DEAL WITH THE HEADACHE and then I get A bill FROM HIGHLAND PARK APARTMENTS charging me for the heat truck, which is not acceptable, I been there for two years with my family, visitors grandchildren, DAUGHTERS AND SONS and we never experience any such thing.
Pretty quiet neighborhood. Maintenance is responsive and always pleasant. Sarah and Rachel are the best! Ive live here for four years and have never had and issue they didnt resolve.
Great place to live at! Leasing office is flexable, kind, and respectable. Neighbors are outgoing and respect you as well. Love it!
I definitely enjoy staying here and its very spacious and comfortable. Frustrating part is never any parking available in my area.
My furnace has gone out on me at least 5 time this winter if not more sometimes my son and I have to sleep and it’s the same temperature as it is outside. I’ve been here for 6 months and I’m not happy.
This complex has gone downhill drastically in the last 5 years. There is trash and broken glass everywhere. People do drugs and drug deals in the parking lot. The pool is always closed for maintenance.

I dont leave there but I heard a great thing about this apartment I wish, I can move to this apartment but I cant afford to break my lease
I love this complex. Exceptional amenities with ample parking. Love the fireplace, dog park and pool.

2022-01-05I lived in Highland Park from 2016 - 2019 and while I was there it was a wonderful place to live! My review is not about that. It is about my experience with them verifying my rental history. Hopefully, this will help anyone else who might run into what I experienced.I moved out of Highland Park in 2019 because I accepted a job out of state. I recently accepted a job back in Ohio and submitted an application to an apartment near my new job. They contacted me to say Highland Park couldn’t confirm I had been a resident. I tried emailing the woman who ran the leasing office when I had lived there but it turned out she no longer worked there. I then called Highland Park and explained the situation.The woman I spoke with told me she could not find me in any of their systems (they have changed ownership over the years) and that there was “nothing she could do”. I explained that I had all kinds of documentation from my time as a resident (things like rent payment email confirmations and emails regarding maintenance issues) and asked if it would help if I sent her any of it. She told me no, there was nothing she could do. I asked if there was any other way she could try and look up my information besides my name she told me no, there was nothing she could do. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to she told me no.Let me pause here and say how stressed and anxious I became because of this. I had lived there, had documentation that I lived there, yet according to this woman there seemed to be no way to confirm/prove that. I felt like she was just telling me I was SOL.I lost my temper at this point and told her this was unacceptable and I would be writing reviews everywhere I could about this situation. At this point, she said something to the effect of, “Well, you can try calling our corporate office.” So there was in fact someone else I could call despite what she told me earlier. I called the corporate office (Haley Residential), and they were wonderful! After I explained the situation to the person who answered the phone they said something to the effect of “Yeah, that’s not right. All the records stay with the complex. Let me see who I can have you talk to.” I was then transferred to Lisa. She was fabulous! She found me immediately in their system, confirmed all my information, and gave me the contact information for the place I am applyed to use to confirm my rental history. So 5 stars for Haley Residential from me.The reason for my low star rating is because of how I was treated by the women I spoke with at Highland Park. I hope this review helps anyone else who finds themselves in this situation.

2022-05-02This is a slum-lord scam driven racket. They WILL NOT fix any problems you have and will attempt to cheat you out of money no matter the situation. Say goodbye to your deposit- because- no matter what- you’re not getting anything back. They will find old scratches from before you moved in and say that it costs $1500 to fix it- after they already take your deposit. DO NOT RENT HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. It doesn’t matter if you paid your rent on time for over ten years and took meticulous care of your apartment and cleaned it thoroughly when leaving - they don’t care. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They have rodents- raccoons and bugs - and NEVER ATTEMPT TO ERADICATE.

2021-10-01Its been several years since I lived at Highland Park (2013-15), but I recommend the community to anyone. Quiet and a great location convenient to anything you need. Sarah and Rachel, who apparently arent there anymore, were so easy to work with. Probably the best office staff Ive ever been around. Perfect amount of room for me at that point in my life. Homeowner now, but again, Ill recommend this property to anyone looking in this area.

2021-07-30My fiancé Conner & I enjoy living at highland park! We first lived here in 2019 with a roommate, we then decided we needed something smaller so we moved to a different complex in canal. Worse mistake we ever made, when we decided we wanted to come back to highland park the process was so easy. Huge shout out to the ladies in the leasing office, I know sometimes I’m a lot to handle & very needy but Sam, Melissa & Lisa were always there to answer any of my questions I had. I highly suggest living at highland park or even checking them out. They’re affordable for the size of the apartment & all the amenities that come with them. P.S they have a pretty neat dog park for all my fur mamas out there 🥰

2019-11-19The Highland Park Apartment staff is so friendly and professional. Ive loved every experience from the day I came to tour the community. When work orders were submitted, they are always completed expediently! If there is a delay, they always communicate and work hard to finish the job. From Sarah and Rachel in the office to the maintenance guys! I have ZERO complaints!!! I even enjoyed the Pool attendant Tim over the summer! I love living here! The homes are spacious and the area is convenient to shopping and peaceful!

2021-06-17I wanted to take a minute and thank the staff at Highland Park for all their recent help.Jack and Kyle are the best maintenance men around!!! From showing up before Christmas at 0630 to clean the sidewalks to assisting me with this and that after I broke my ankle. They never say No and are always so pleasant.Lisa and Sam for helping make a move from one floor to another after braking my ankle. It was a blessing to be able to do this over the phone from 100 miles away. These ladies go above and beyond for their residents! While off work, Sam would see me on my patio as she arrived for work and would ask how I am doing and if I needed anything. Its a blessing to know help is just a call away.So glad I moved back here !!!!!

2020-03-08Highland Park was my first apartment and I really liked it. I lived there for one year (2018-2019). The office staff Rachel and Sara were very friendly and understanding. The one bedroom floor plan was very spacious.. In my experience it was fairly quiet in my unit. The maintenance team was on top of any issue I ever had. I will always recommend Highland Park.

2021-05-17So looking at apartments I feel others reviews are very important especially when you are finding a home for yourself and children. I have have been searching for the right apartment that is suitable for my little guy and myself and was referred to this location by a nearby apartment complex and I went to check it out. Upon arriving to see what it looks like I saw friendly faces walking their dog, dads teaching their kids to ride their bikes, cars going to the speed limit mindful that there are children at play. I liked the location pretty much everything you need is in close range so I thought this would be a good fit my little guy and myself. After looking at the 2 br I was intrigued, they are very spacious rooms and living room as well at the kitchen and they are already equipped with a washer and dryer which is plus. The price is definitely worth it. I only gave four stars because the process of getting everything going took longer than I anticipated and getting a response was not quick but Samantha and melissa were great definitely seem to need more hands in the office. When I did my walkthrough I noticed that the washer and water heater were not working properly so I informed samantha and she notified her crew who were out the next day and had everything working up to speed. Apartment is a little outdated but not by much and nothing bothersome. Overall I love my apartment and I am so glad were here!
