I lived in Highland Park from 2016 - 2019 and while I was there it was a wonderful place to live! My review is not about that. It is about my experience with them verifying my rental history. Hopefully, this will help anyone else who might run into what I experienced.I moved out of Highland Park in 2019 because I accepted a job out of state. I recently accepted a job back in Ohio and submitted an application to an apartment near my new job. They contacted me to say Highland Park couldn’t confirm I had been a resident. I tried emailing the woman who ran the leasing office when I had lived there but it turned out she no longer worked there. I then called Highland Park and explained the situation.The woman I spoke with told me she could not find me in any of their systems (they have changed ownership over the years) and that there was “nothing she could do”. I explained that I had all kinds of documentation from my time as a resident (things like rent payment email confirmations and emails regarding maintenance issues) and asked if it would help if I sent her any of it. She told me no, there was nothing she could do. I asked if there was any other way she could try and look up my information besides my name she told me no, there was nothing she could do. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to she told me no.Let me pause here and say how stressed and anxious I became because of this. I had lived there, had documentation that I lived there, yet according to this woman there seemed to be no way to confirm/prove that. I felt like she was just telling me I was SOL.I lost my temper at this point and told her this was unacceptable and I would be writing reviews everywhere I could about this situation. At this point, she said something to the effect of, “Well, you can try calling our corporate office.” So there was in fact someone else I could call despite what she told me earlier. I called the corporate office (Haley Residential), and they were wonderful! After I explained the situation to the person who answered the phone they said something to the effect of “Yeah, that’s not right. All the records stay with the complex. Let me see who I can have you talk to.” I was then transferred to Lisa. She was fabulous! She found me immediately in their system, confirmed all my information, and gave me the contact information for the place I am applyed to use to confirm my rental history. So 5 stars for Haley Residential from me.The reason for my low star rating is because of how I was treated by the women I spoke with at Highland Park. I hope this review helps anyone else who finds themselves in this situation.

This is a slum-lord scam driven racket. They WILL NOT fix any problems you have and will attempt to cheat you out of money no matter the situation. Say goodbye to your deposit- because- no matter what- you’re not getting anything back. They will find old scratches from before you moved in and say that it costs $1500 to fix it- after they already take your deposit. DO NOT RENT HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. It doesn’t matter if you paid your rent on time for over ten years and took meticulous care of your apartment and cleaned it thoroughly when leaving - they don’t care. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They have rodents- raccoons and bugs - and NEVER ATTEMPT TO ERADICATE.

Its been several years since I lived at Highland Park (2013-15), but I recommend the community to anyone. Quiet and a great location convenient to anything you need. Sarah and Rachel, who apparently arent there anymore, were so easy to work with. Probably the best office staff Ive ever been around. Perfect amount of room for me at that point in my life. Homeowner now, but again, Ill recommend this property to anyone looking in this area.

My fiancé Conner & I enjoy living at highland park! We first lived here in 2019 with a roommate, we then decided we needed something smaller so we moved to a different complex in canal. Worse mistake we ever made, when we decided we wanted to come back to highland park the process was so easy. Huge shout out to the ladies in the leasing office, I know sometimes I’m a lot to handle & very needy but Sam, Melissa & Lisa were always there to answer any of my questions I had. I highly suggest living at highland park or even checking them out. They’re affordable for the size of the apartment & all the amenities that come with them. P.S they have a pretty neat dog park for all my fur mamas out there 🥰

DO NOT APPLY WITH THEM THEY ARE HORRIBLE GETTING BACK TO YOU THEY OWE ME A REFUND AND HAVENT SENT MY MONEY THEY ARE LITERALLY DOWN THE STREET IVE BEEN CALLING FOR WEEKS LEAVING MESSAGES WITH THE OFFSITE TEAM AND THEY STILL DONT REACH OUTUPDATE 05/05/22: STILL NOTHING I REACHED OUT TO CORPORATE AND HIGHLAND PARK TRIED TO LIE AND SAY I CANCELLED MY APPLICATION I DIDNT I SEE NOT ONLY ARE YALL THIEVES HIGHLAND BUT YOUR LIARS TOO WOWWWW HAVEN YALL NEED NEW EMPLOYEES

The Highland Park Apartment staff is so friendly and professional. Ive loved every experience from the day I came to tour the community. When work orders were submitted, they are always completed expediently! If there is a delay, they always communicate and work hard to finish the job. From Sarah and Rachel in the office to the maintenance guys! I have ZERO complaints!!! I even enjoyed the Pool attendant Tim over the summer! I love living here! The homes are spacious and the area is convenient to shopping and peaceful!

I wanted to take a minute and thank the staff at Highland Park for all their recent help.Jack and Kyle are the best maintenance men around!!! From showing up before Christmas at 0630 to clean the sidewalks to assisting me with this and that after I broke my ankle. They never say No and are always so pleasant.Lisa and Sam for helping make a move from one floor to another after braking my ankle. It was a blessing to be able to do this over the phone from 100 miles away. These ladies go above and beyond for their residents! While off work, Sam would see me on my patio as she arrived for work and would ask how I am doing and if I needed anything. Its a blessing to know help is just a call away.So glad I moved back here !!!!!

Highland Park was my first apartment and I really liked it. I lived there for one year (2018-2019). The office staff Rachel and Sara were very friendly and understanding. The one bedroom floor plan was very spacious.. In my experience it was fairly quiet in my unit. The maintenance team was on top of any issue I ever had. I will always recommend Highland Park.

So looking at apartments I feel others reviews are very important especially when you are finding a home for yourself and children. I have have been searching for the right apartment that is suitable for my little guy and myself and was referred to this location by a nearby apartment complex and I went to check it out. Upon arriving to see what it looks like I saw friendly faces walking their dog, dads teaching their kids to ride their bikes, cars going to the speed limit mindful that there are children at play. I liked the location pretty much everything you need is in close range so I thought this would be a good fit my little guy and myself. After looking at the 2 br I was intrigued, they are very spacious rooms and living room as well at the kitchen and they are already equipped with a washer and dryer which is plus. The price is definitely worth it. I only gave four stars because the process of getting everything going took longer than I anticipated and getting a response was not quick but Samantha and melissa were great definitely seem to need more hands in the office. When I did my walkthrough I noticed that the washer and water heater were not working properly so I informed samantha and she notified her crew who were out the next day and had everything working up to speed. Apartment is a little outdated but not by much and nothing bothersome. Overall I love my apartment and I am so glad were here!
