Service was slow, staff notified me after paying for my 1 day rental that I had until noon to return it to keep it a 1 day rental. The location is closed on Sundays so even if you drop the rental off at your scheduled time on Sunday you will be charged until Monday when employees are available to close out the contract. The website gave no notice of this and everything on my reservation stated 1 day rental from 9am Saturday to 9am Sunday. My reservation was for an economy vehicle, they gave me a Jeep Gladiator with no option to change vehicles. The vehicle was not cleaned out in any way. The back seat doors still had trash bags in them, half full water bottle and lime slices in the bed of the truck and dry spilled drink marks around the cup holders with dirt stuck to it. So my 1 day booking turned into a required 2 day booking, no refunds given if you decide to cancel after you pay when they tell you you HAVE to pay 2 days and a much higher cost for gas from being given an unclean jeep pickup truck . Waste of money, poor customer service and communication for a 24/7 rental location and messy/dirty vehicle.

I truly cannot believe you are still in business. Your customer service is horrific, and your agents are ruder than imaginable. You are offering the most expensive services, for the worst cars, and instead of at least trying to be polite, you are snarky with an attitude?! We called with serious safety concerns about a car we rented from you less than 24 hours ago, and you absolutely did not care. You’d rather people get into serious accidents and die than help them? It is truly laughable how bad you are. But I guess it’s also reflected in your ratings. Even McDonald’s has better ratings. Maybe hire people who graduated high school next time. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

DO NOT rent a car from this location! The customer service is absolutely horrendous! My insurance company (State Farm) booked a reservation for a car while my car is being fixed. The first man that I talked to was extremely rude on the phone ranting and raving about how insurance companies were liars and crooks. He confirmed my reservation and said that they wouldnt have anything available until noon the next day. I called around 9:30am the following morning to double check my reservation and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and told me that they didnt have any cars despite my reservation! I understand the car shortage but the customer service needs to be better during situations like this!

Yesterday we had returned our rental and while we had appreciated the use of it upon our return we realized that the office was closed and we had no idea how to return the vehicle without the representative until finally we were able to call the customer service and figure out also with the help of other returning customers. The girls that took care of us were nice and we also pleased with our rental. The vehicle was clearn and ready for us to use. Since this was our first experience renting a vehicle, it would have been nice to get a heads up that the office will be closed and also to recieve the instructions in advance. Also, we have discovered upon our pickup of the rental that the person whos card was used to reserve the vehicle, has to be the one to drive it or else you have to pay an additional fee to approve another person to drive it. One more thing to add is that before us getting inside the vehicle we were told that the tank of gas is full, however it was not. Just wanted to give a heads up to you. Nonetheless, we will rent again and be more aware.👍🏻

Ditto last post. I had a reservation at this location--woman behind the desk said that my name wasnt on their list and that they were out of cars but that they would have to find me a car if I pulled up the reservation and it gave their location . I did--the reservation showed the Elm St location--she got on the computer and said it was actually at another location, not the location stated on my reservation. I said I would sit down and wait as this was the location on my reservation and she had said they would honor the reservation and I had no way to get there. Instead they called the police. Police were not an issue, just the Hertz staff. Anyway, I know often people say in reviews theyve never experienced such lack of basic humanity, principles, decency but this truly was that experience for me. I dont know if Ive ever faced people so intent on humiliating and diminishing me with such ferocity. Cant help but think that a lot of people are treated this way daily and worse. Good to know.

Do not go to this Hertz location! I booked (and pre-payed) a car for three weeks. When I came there they told me they have no cars. The main manager was super unfriendly and also didnt tried to help me. I never had such a bad customer service... In the end I left after 3h without a car.I recommend - go somewhere else!

I was told at the desk on elm street that they dont accept debit cards for payment. Then I called to get my refund and I was told they could and under their terms and conditions I was able to use a debit card. So since I was rejected a rental car it puts me in a tight spot and caused more problems than it needed to be. This is not the only time I was rejected a rental from them. I highly dont recommend them. Enterprise is better than them.

Do not rent from this Hertz. They didn’t have the full size car (Chevy Malibu or similar) that I reserved so they “upgraded me” to a Buick Encore (small SUV), which was much worse than an Malibu in my option. Not to mention the car had less than a quarter tank of gas, It was dirty (there was a hamburger bun and ketchup in center arm rest of the backseat), and the windshield wipers needed to replaced because the rubber was fall. So they asked me to drive a few miles to a Firestone location where I had to wait to get the windshield wippers chargers. Then when I returned the car, they charged me for the gas. Thankfully I have picture of everything. So I called hertz and after 1 hours I finally got reimbursed for the gas that I was wrongfully charged. What an experience that was.

Do NOT rent cars from Hertz in general and especially this location. Their staff at this location are the most absolute rudest condescending miserable people I’ve ever come in contact with, the manager kid is the worse of them all no wonder why he has no purpose in life other than worrying about renting out funky dirty cars to people. Mr I can’t find a real decent job so I settle for renting out funky cars to people in Cincinnati of all places and I wanna take my job super serious was a person. If I had a dictionary and decided to look up the word miserable his face would plastered right next to it. Don’t waste your time and money at this trash location, better yet this entire corporation. I advise you to go elsewhere Enterprise,Avis, Budget would never! trust me. RENT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

I accidentally left some expensive medical equipment in the rental. They called me to let me know that they found it. My friend went and picked it up for me with no hassle. We received exceptional, above and beyond customer service.
