Posted hours said 7:30am to 9:00pm Monday- Friday. It was raining and I arrived at 7:47 am with a mask on. Was rudely chased out of the store and made to wait in the rain getting soaked until 8:00am. Not cool. The car was fine and worked well but their customer service is pretty bad.
I was supposed to have Hertz pick me up after I dropped my vehicle off to get fixed, first off my insurance company told me they would call me within an hour after I got off the phone with them to confirm when/where to pick me up but they never called, so I called the day before dropping my car off to confirm I was going to be picked up. 20 minutes after I was supposed to be picked up I called hertz because I hadn’t heard anything/seen anyone from hertz so I called them and they told me someone was on their way and they would see what was going on, I was on hold for so long I got to a voicemail. I called back again 10 minutes later to be told someone WAS there but didn’t see anyone, the parking lot I was in, to turn around you had to go all the way inside the parking lot and I had my passenger door wide open and was very visible and had not seen any vehicle close to what they said was supposed to pick me up, they told me they’d see what was going on and update me. 10 minutes after this I called them back to tell them they could forget about it since it had already been an hour after I was to be picked up, but they wouldn’t answer my call. I only gave them a one star because that’s the lowest you can give. I would rather be carless then have to attempt to go through Hertz again 11/10 would NOT recommend.
The gentleman at the counter was friendly and courteous and very efficient at his job. I walked into the store actually before it was officially open that morning, but he took care of me immediately without complaint or excuses and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes with a clean good running car. I could not ask for better service. I recommend this agent to anyone who enjoys good service.
Not a good place to go to. I had to have my car repaired and this was the palace State Farm approved. I requested pick up service the day before for 9am. Around 9:15am, I called the location to find out where the person was that was supposed to pick me up. The guy on the line said that he never received anything about a pic up, then he said oops, no there it is. He stated that he was short staffed and it would be a while before someone could pick me up. I told him that I would have my husband bring me. When I arrived, there was one other person in front of me ,and it took almost a half hour or so to get them taken care of. The car, a Kia soul, smelled like cigarette smoke.When I was trying to to return the car, the girl that answered the phone was very unprofessional and did not have good customer service. I will never do business with this Hertz again and may not deal with the corporation as a while.
Professional and pleasant experience. Manager Thomas Ross made sure I was 100% satisfied with my reservation. I travel a lot and rent from a variety of companies, this Hertz location in Bedford Heights will be at the top of my list everytime when I come back to visit Ohio. Service was professional. But i was in an accident, not my fault. Drove a 06 merc grand marquis...and statefarm reserves a mid size vehicle for me nissan sentra and couldnt drive on freeway with bad cvt transmission. Put me in smaller car now, a nissan versa. I had a full size vehicle, so put me in something closer to the size of my personal vehicle. 21 days pass and only estimate for just body work was done. Not anything internal was talked about
We reserved a van and had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time for the van to arrive because they took someone in the airport in it. The gas tank was on low. The tire pressure light came on almost immediately and we were told that it is our responsibility to replace their old tire (23k miles) with a brand new tire ($110). They told us we had to go to Firestone and it would be $70. We went to Firestone and it was $110. The manager said we would work something out when we returned it. He was not there that day. They said he would call us. He did not. He has yet to return multiple phone calls. We called and emailed corporate and have yet to get a response from amyone.
I would not recommend this business. Placed my 10 day rental order 2 months prior, phoned and visited this facility to verify my reservation and each time they told me I would be renting one of the following: a Grand Cherokee, Kia Santa Fe or Toyota 4-Runner. The day of the rental they gave me Dodge Journey. The vehicles radio did not even have the ability to get upgraded to SIrius. Left and went to Avis.
Worst experience ever . Rental was no where to be found when I arrived at this location. The lady didn’t car all she had to say was ..”well this happens all the time”. Didn’t even offer me a different car. Unprofessional and rude never again.! Happy Enterprise could help.!!!
This location should be under review... customer service is horrible. They gave me a car with the tire and engine light on... I was advise by the agent, he wasnt a mechanic, I could take it or not whaaat???? I spent my hard earned money with a company that lacks appropriate workers and risked my safety in a potentially faulty car. This location definitely need help or to just close!
Place is a joke. They gave me a 2013 Chevy sonic with 10k miles. Tail light bulb went out, all the doors were body shoped, paint job looked terrible, masking tape still left in the gas door after they painted the quarter panel and more. I locked both sets of keys in my trunk, called them and they said they have no spare keys we give customers both sets of keys. Ok so you give customers both sets of keys and thick wire is holding them together? You cant even take the other set of keys off... I had to grind the wire so I can have two sets of keys when I went camping. 2 stars is very generous but they deserve it. On a good note, they picked me up from body shop, gave me a car, then they picked the rental car from body shop when everything was done. Good customer service.
The worst rental place ever very unprofessional I placed a on line review and the manager Leonard called me the next day and said that I was no longer allowed to rent vehicles from that location. I already had made up my mind after the last experience with them that I would never rent from that location again the vehicle was 48 minutes late getting to the location, not to mention it was filthy when I got in. Just trifling the vehicle fit the staff perfectly Hertz should consider closing this location its really giving them a bad look.
Got car the other day, the young lady was slow and barely opened her mouth. Ive been working where I use my company car, I go to dinner with family. Havent driven the car since I got it and it reeks of cigarettes, and the breaks are making loud noise...will be returning unacceptable!
I have been to this hertz twice. The first time they sounded rude to customers but since I had already made my reservation and was picking up I didnt have to interact with them too much.I recently tried to make a reservation again in hopes of it being as smooth as it was last time. But unfortunately no one was at the location to assist me. I arrived at 5 45pm, and the hours posted on the door was open to 6pm.I would recommend everyone to try hertz but not at this location.

2022-04-22My truck was in for service at Liberty who was out of their own rentals so they put me in a Hertz rental car for the service time. First off, I was taken there under the understanding Liberty would be paying for this. Well they still got my credit card (for theft protection I guess) and of course their reps tried to push their unneeded insurance on me.Well I turned it in to the dealership, and a week later I see they out of no where just charged ME 30 dollars? What?? Im kind of a car clean freak so I even returned it FAR cleaner than it was when I got it..Never again will I rent Hertz because I cannot STAND to know they just charge customer cards at will apparently. I wasnt even their customer directly!?!?

2022-02-23After being in the car 15 minutes the Low oil level warning light came on iMessage as well as the warning light for the battery in the key. The message I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way to another Hertz dealership to see if I could get another car. They refused and said that the warning oil light was not correct and that whoever changed it forgot to turn the light off. My daughter was having surgery and we needed a reliable car for all her doctors appointments which I explain to him. He offered no help.

2022-04-18We were given a vehicle with a USB that didnt work - which meant the on screen GPS and charging could not be used for our 16 hour round trip. No discount or apology given. Absolute price gouging charging me to be a driver on the vehicle- I am the spouse of the contract holder and it cost $13/day in addition to the insurance. Next time just going to go to Enterprise.

2022-04-18I will never go back. I had a discount code I asked if it worked for the insurance and extra driver I was told they didnt know. When we returned the car I informed them that some of the functions didnt work on the vehicle. They didnt care or offer a discount. So I will cross this of my list of places to rent a car from and go with another company.

2022-05-07They changed what they told me over the phone to something completely different once they got me in the store. Now since I needed the car I had no choice but to pay them the extra charge they said I wouldnt have to pay! Never go there again!

2021-10-24Had an excellent experience here. With the current pandemic inventory crisis I was able to secure the vehicle I had requested. Pickup and drop off was simple. Car was exactly what I wanted and needed. Price was fair considering what I have recently had to pay in other markets.

2021-08-11This place is very unprofessional. I live in Cleveland and am attending FSU. My parents rented a car to drop me off and fly home. Our reservation said 3 pm and we were there at 3:15 pm to have no car available for us. We leave the next day at 3 am to drop me off for college. We get there a second time in the day about an hour before they close to have a car ready. However it was a Buick Encore. Based on their website the size we ordered was a Nissan Rouge or similar(Q4). They tried giving us the encore(B5). It has a third of the cargo storage. We can’t fit my luggage in that car. Not only the gentleman but the manager were very rude in handling us and were trying to give us a smaller car as if it were the same. Then they said it’s this car or none. This companies mess up cost my family a car we needed, and plane tickets previously booked. They were rude, did not care about anyone, and have no business running a company or dealing with any customers. We left Hertz having no car and nowhere to get a car given everywhere is closing or closed now. Thank you hertz for your lack of any good business.

2021-06-30The customer service is non existent! There’s no parking and although I have a handicap tag, I wasn’t allowed to park my car in the handicap spot cause it’s for customers, AND I AM A CUSTOMER RENTING A TRUCK. I asked them where do I park and The manager said that I’d have to have someone come and pick up my car or have it towed! I’ve dropped a truck off here before and had the same bad attitude, it’s ur problem, or mine kinda tude. The service is unsatisfactory and I will be calling corporate, although I’m Sure nothing will be done. Oh, I had a scheduled pick up at 8, it’s 8:17 and I’m still waiting. Next time, I will book at a different location or with Penske! They always treated me better and were more customer savvy!! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

2021-03-24Absolutely the worst car rental place ever. Been here twice ( insurance purposes). Recently they said everything looked fine with the car when I returned it and that I would receive my $50 deposit back. That was on 3-15-21. I was recently charged that $50 fee after a week. WHY?! They are shady people working here. I dont trust any of them. If you can afford to go somewhere else please do!

2020-10-16Reserved a full-sized car for 10/15/20. I get there and all they have are compact cars. Fine. First car they put me in has brake issues, but is otherwise clean and would have been a good car. Second car they put me in had not been cleaned (we are in the middle of Covid here!) and smelled really horribly of cigarette smoke. Then, when I got driving, the tire pressure warning came on, and I noticed a wobble. I stopped and realized the rear driver-side tire was almost flat! Thank goodness some strangers rolled up with an air compressor and helped me out. There are still good people out there 😊but beware of this Hertz location ಠ_ಠ
