I enjoyed the whole experience of moving in large part because of Herlihy Moving and Storage. From the very beginning Sarah set the tone for the experience. She was knowledge and efficient and put my mind at ease that my stuff would be safe and the move affordable. The physical move was made easy by the good spirited men who packed and loaded me up. My stuff arrived safely at my new home after a 3 week storage in exactly the same condition as it left in the truck. Although it was the hottest day of the year for unloading , once again the men were fun to work with as they carried box after box into my new home. All in all this has been the easiest move I have ever made! Thanks to all of you at Herlihy for starting me off happily on this new adventure!!

We ended up calling last time and the office staff got us booked so quickly! The moving guys were so funny and courteous with our things, and were especially careful with my grandmas old table. Nothing was scratched or dented or left behind. The office staff was so understanding and caring. Definitely recommend! We ended up getting a storage unit to hold some things since were downgrading and you can’t beat the price for the size of the units, and these units are actually CLEAN!!

Most unprofessional move i have ever experienced..there was damage to a majority of my belongings and the companys response was to only defend their staff. The lack of professionalism was unbelievable, the movers smoking on the job to say the least. My experience was horrible!

We had Herlihy move us twice over the past year. The first time they moved us, they did a first rate job, so we decided to use them again for a local move. The second time was a much different experience. They did not use moving pads when moving our furniture and as a consequence, 5 of the larger pieces of furniture they moved were damaged. Making matters worse, they did not seem the least bit concerned (no apology, no hint of remorse) when we called the office to let them know of the carelessness and consequential damage. Two weeks after completing the paperwork they requested to have the damage repaired and two follow up emails later, they have still not responded. I assume a this point we will not hear from them regarding repair or replacement of the furniture they damaged. If they do take responsibility for the damage and make things right, this review will be updated. If that does not happen, we will not hire them again.Update: We were contacted by Roman who explained that there was a delay with our complaint coming to his attention. He offered a sincere apology and a very reasonable explanation for the delay in responding to our complaint as well as why our furniture was damaged (new employees). Most importantly, he did everything possible to ensure things were made right. I now have no reservation recommending this company and would use them again without hesitation. No business is perfect every time; how they handle their less than perfect jobs is what matters.

They came on time, were very professional, and answered all the questions I had!. They came in on quote and delivered on time With! With three small boys, moving from an apartment into a house, was very overwhelming, but they made it seamless and Mary from the office was amazing and helpful. I will definitely be using them in the future, and recommending them!

Herlihy has moved us more times than we can count, and it is always a good experience. They take care to protect the furniture and belongings and the home, and they are very fast, friendly and helpful. Sarah and the office in general take good care of our scheduling, and is creative if there is a challenge. I never have to wait long for an answer. So glad to have them as a resource in our community!

If you are doing a local move, these guys should do fine. However, if moving out of town, be aware that once you agree with the quote and give them your credit card, they will cease communicating with you, cease managing the move, and basically not care if your move comes off as promised or not.Just completed a move with them that took 16 days from pick-up to delivery (10 days or less were promised during the sale) and was 4 days later than the binding contract date, I can assure you that no one at Herlihy or Mayflower was one bit concerned that the customer was being inconvenienced. In fact, they cared so little that they did not even communicate that 10 days after the household goods were picked up, they had never left the warehouse. They were supposed to be delivered the next day halfway across the country and were still sitting in their warehouse in Ohio and they didn’t even notify the customer that there was no way the scheduled delivery was going to happen. They also completely failed to properly manage the long distance transport. Instead of quickly placing the goods on a truck heading across country, they let them sit in a warehouse for over a week and after multiple hiccups by the shipper, placed themselves in a position where they could not meet the contract. Then, instead of holding the shipper accountable and displaying a sense of urgency, they allowed the shipper to lackadaisically carry the goods across the country, pausing once for 24 hours and again for 36 hours.After all that, Herlihy & Mayflower were given a chance to “make this right” by discounting/penalizing the shipper for missing his delivery date and they wouldn’t do that. Basically, you matter not one bit to them and don’t kid yourself that they care if you are inconvenienced or kept in the dark.On the bright side, if you do use them and find yourself in a similarly disappointing situation, Mary at Herlihy and Johnna at Mayflower are both very pleasant, helpful and competent. Neither have any authority to fix the mistakes made, but they at least communicate and try to make things better. Good luck if you use these guys.

I have used Herlihy for 4 moves now and the first 3 were good, so I used them again. Now, after two weeks, I still havent gotten back the dresser they broke so I cant start unpacking my bedroom. They didnt fold up or wrap the bed frames so they punctured a hand-made lamp and scratched up a wooden bookshelf and a few other items. They didnt use the mattress covers they brought so my expensive allergy covers are now stained and I had the labor of getting them off to wash them and back on. Im still trying to locate items and finding the occasional lost thing. It has been a frustrating experience.
