The office person is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Zero customer service skills, takes zero accountability for issues. I asked for the owner to call me about the issues after she talked over me for 5 min. We have a business account with them and I thought they would want to work out the issues. He called me back 10 days later! At that point I told him we were fine, because I already got another company to replace them. The actual movers were nice, but the office staff and the owner need a few lessons in customer service and problem resolution.
I highly recommend Hercules Moving! The lady that answered the phone was very helpful with scheduling and answering all my questions. The estimate they gave was very fair and they were pretty close to the amount of time he estimated. They men worked so hard and were very patient with my dog, who was very unsure of this moving process. The best part was my stuff was well cared for and nothing was broken and they cleaned up after themselves. I give them 2 thumbs up!!
We moved this past Saturday and couldnt have had a better experience! The team arrived on time, got right to work and amazed us with their strength and simultaneous TLC of our belongings. We were done in 2 hours less than the estimate due to their efficiency and commitment to keeping the process rolling - no standing around with this crew! The icing on the cake was how incredibly polite, professional and accommodating they were.
Dont even consider hiring them unless you have your attorney on speed dial to force them to repair the damages they cause. Forget about wasting your time writing fragile or other instructions on the boxes because they will be ignored. I worked harder than the three unprofessionals that showed up to move me. We had to coax them out of the truck to get back to work and thats just the first couple hours of the day. I had a couple stops along the way and of course they pretended to get lost. There was no attention to detail. I would tell them dont put that there and guess what. I had many belongings that did not make their final destination. I have another move in a few months. They couldve had a repeat customer - if they would have been halfway decent. All this for only $1,300
I have used Hercules in the past for a few moves. This will be my last move with them, since like many others their job performance was poor, I was overcharged, and they damaged my furniture. I will never use them again. The owner promised great service, told me my furniture would be in climate controlled conditions, and that Hercules was known as a specialist when it came to moving and caring for antiques. The owner also said his storage was very safe and secure. I agreed to have them put my furniture in their storage. When the movers finally arrived, they complained about the hot conditions in the warehouse and spoke of the break-ins which they had there, so I was immediately concerned. They took 6 hours to get to my house for the delivery from their reported starting time. I called their office twice due to lateness. The person at the office said she would try to contact them by cellphone. I was never called back, so I called again. They finally arrived. They kept hinting about getting tips, took frequent smoke breaks, damaged my brand new house by banging my furniture into the front door frame, ceiling, and scratching the wood floor. I was initially given an estimate. At the end of the move, I was given paperwork to sign and the mover covered up the billing section, so I was only allowed to see my signature section. Immediately that alerted me that something was wrong. I asked the mover to uncover what he was covering. The move was over 3 times what I was quoted! I protested that this was way beyond the quoted price. The mover said I had to sign the paperwork. He never let go of the clipboard and they refused to leave unless I signed the paperwork. I signed it like I was told to do then wrote my comments about the fact that it took them 6 hours to load up and get to my house, and I was billed for way beyond the quote. Then the mover refused to give me a copy of the paperwork, so I took a picture of it with my cellphone. Also, I never knew there was a back side to the paperwork because the mover NEVER let go of the clipboard which it was on.There were several pieces of furniture which were damaged including my dining room chairs. The owner tried to push it off and refused to make any kind of compensation to me. It took my husband to threaten legal action for the owner to get me an insurance claim form. After insurance inspection, Hercules offered $100 off. We filed a small claims case. The insurance claim representative has been increasing the amount offered, but we have not settled.
Been meaning to post a review for a while, saw their truck today on the road and it reminded me. They moved my family into our new home last February. Their pricing was really good, especially since it was a Saturday move. They were punctual, polite, and professional, not to mention they moved fast! We are very happy with their service. Thanks!
Ive used them three times but probably for the last time. They are overall efficient and definitely reasonable in their rates. However the time before they left a post off my bed and this last time they set my bed on its foundation but didnt screw in my bed support. Just set my mattress in top and customer service has been horrible to get it fixed. Not above cutting corners. They tried to charge me for being at lunch, broke a post off my bed, didnt screw my bed together-had to do it myself. Customer service was horrible, non existent. Use at your own risk.
Never ever book this company service because they are worst in customer service. I called them to book their service and lady confirm me for the next day with a 2 hours window that their guys will be at home and helped me in moving my furniture. But , when the time comes nobody showed up and when I called the lady about it she was saying she is trying to arrange someone and she was rude too. I called her couple of times but her answer was same and she told she is going home at 3.30pm on Saturday and told me to call back on monday and she will arrange something and we got stuck with them . So , please never used them they are worse , at the time of booking they are sweet but they can ditch you after booking too.
I have used Hercules several times and they were always great, but this last time they accidentally dropped a cherry wood desk that I had them moving and literally split it right in two. It was ruined and worthless afterwards. The desk retailed for $25,000 brand new, I was lucky enough to get it used for $5000 from my employer after they were done with it.Here is the problem - The owner of Hercules has made me 2 offers now to take care of the desk. The 1st one is to reimburse me for $50 and after I said I was insulted over the offer he offered $150. He obviously has no intentions of making good on the damage that his company caused. As far as I can tell they never turned it into their insurance because no insurance company has ever contacted me about it. So I doubt that they even have insurance. Now my only recourse is to get my lawyer involved in it.Good Luck if you use them.Update #1: The owner of Hercules came to my office and examined the desk after which he only offered to let me have the move for free. That would be approx $500 value. He admitted that he is just trying to keep from turning it in to his insurance and his deductible is $1000. So evidently he has insurance and is now going to turn it in to them. Will see how they handle it.
I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere. I was shocked to get over a $600 charge to move our 2 bedroom apartment (1 room was a baby room) 1.4 miles down the road. The website claims they will be there but after they missed the 2 hour window by another hour plus, we had hoped for some form of communication. We called them to get answers. I dont necessarily blame the guys that helped us as they did move the big stuff out as promised. But I am very frustrated when the total charge included the frequent smoke breaks, the trip to the grocery, and the break for McDonalds. So, we were charged for the entirety. My estimate was around 35-40 minutes for smoke breaks. We were their second move that day so they were already exhausted. Thats not the moving crews fault, thats poor organization and business practices. At this juncture, it has been around one business week and unfortunately no responses yet from customer service or ownership after we called them to talk about the experience. It really sucked all the fun out of us moving into our first home as a family. They were hanging around until nearly 11 at night, so I wasnt able to put the babys crib together. The whole situation has been upsetting, and not because of the money. But because of the feeling of being violated or taken advantage of, and then ignored afterward. We were going to inquire about a partial refund for one hour (or $90 refund) based on our experiences. But again, Im not feeling optimistic about any sort of proactive communication on the companys part, not to mention any sort of refund for this experience. $90/hour sounds good, but its part of the game. And we still have a lot of stuff to move that I had them leave, as I was just trying to push to get our stuff to the house at a decent hour. Dont over think it, just spend more money on a more reliable and decent company. It is quite rare for me to post such a negative review, but its left such a bad feeling with me and my family. Whether you are doing a long distance move or just a few miles away, do your research.
Had clients call them 6 weeks before theyre closing date to schedule a move and this company called them less than 18 hours before their scheduled pickup time to let them know that they did not have any movers available. Ended up costing my client double to find someone to move them on such short notice the last weekend of the month. Extremely unprofessional and poor business practices absolutely would never recommend them to friends, family, or clients!
DO NOT EVER use Hercules Moving. I had used them two times before with no problem. This will be the LAST. The movers themselves were fantastic but Ron Hirth, the owner, will nickel and dime you to get every penny he can including only sending 2 men when you book a 3 man job! They will NOT confirm your booking over email so you have NOTHING in writing and then blame YOU when a miscommunication happens. Very convenient that you have to call and book over the phone so you dont have any record of the conversation except your own notes. My ONE day move took TWO DAYS and I was charged $1350. I also got to pay ($25 per 15 minutes) for the guys to stand in the back of the truck on the phone talking to the office trying to get a third man to come (he never did). I was assured by both movers and the receptionist that Ron was a fair guy and would make everything right in the end. He reluctantly offered me $100 off. All I asked for were three things: An apology, a breakdown of the charges in an email, and to pay no more than $1025. I never did get an email. Again...nothing in writing. Shady business. He finally settled on $1125 and WOULD NOT BUDGE saying that he has expenses to cover. Well guess what? I had to take an extra day off of work to have the movers come TWICE. I have expenses to cover too. I thought $1025 was a VERY high price to pay for THEIR mistake, but still fair for all the work that was done. Ron would not let go of his extra $100 he wanted so here we are. He did apologize in the end, but a great review and a happy customer was not worth $100 to him. He is all about his money.BUYER BEWARE.Edited 8/13/18 to add:After submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, I was issued a $100 refund check. If you choose to do business with Hercules make sure you get everything confirmed in writing up front. I have yet to receive any email communication from them.
I had a great experience with an out of state move using Hercules. The rate they charged me was significantly less than I was quoted for at a big box mover, and it was also for 3 men, instead of the 2 men big box mover quote. There was no damage to my stuff. The movers were all polite and knowledgeable and asked where I wanted everything and gave me no trouble or hassle.I have only had experience with one other moving company in the past, where they tried to steal my belongings and broke my stuff (and hid it). This is certainly not the case with Hercules. I would use them again in a heart beat.
Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER use this horrible company! After having a booked appointment with them they completely stood me up. I waited for them an hour longer than the window they gave me before hearing from them to tell me they would be another hour longer. Another hour went by and they never showed. The lady on the phone told me she would track down the driver and have them call me. The office is now closed, no one is answering their phones and my stuff is literally sitting out waiting to be moved. Not to mention my poor 8 year old daughter was stuck hoping to move and i had to explain to her that some people are just unreliable even when you are willing to pay them. Worst company ever, use at your own risk. You have now been warned
TERRIBLE!! I set up 3 movers a month in advance (we have a jukebox that takes at least 3 people to move). 2 people showed up, when I asked where the 3rd mover was, they simply said he called off. When I told them they needed to try to find a 3rd person, they hopped in their Truck and left. Calling the office did not help, the receptionist told me I needed to find someone else. We had to be out by the following day, and this was a disaster, please do not use this company!
They moved us Jan 17; it started to rain; all 8 guys were AMAZING; worked 13 straight hrs; came back the next day to finish because we had so much stuff!!!;Everyone was ultra professional. They were true artists in their work. Never was anyone on their cell or texting or taking a smoke break and not working. They were unbelievable!!!!!
This company was incredibly unprofessional. Over half of the furniture they moved for me contained some type of damage, much of which resulted in having to replace furniture because it was beyond repair. When confronted for damages, they were overly defiant, rude, insulting and downright childish in their comments to me in front of the other people who were in the room. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

2022-08-20We had a great experience with Hercules Moving & Storage. Eric and Russell showed up right on time and moved us on one of the hottest days of the year. They were a great team - professional and very careful with our belongings. We had some pretty heavy furniture which they maneuvered down and up stairs, with not a scratch or nick left behind on anything. Their efficiency kept the price very affordable too. Would highly recommend Hercules!

2022-08-03Cancelled on our move 10 minutes before scheduled arrival time. We had the appointment booked months in advance of the move date. Were told they would call us back to let us if additional moving staff were to become available and they never followed up. Completely unprofessional, and added a lot of stress to an already stressful time. Would not recommend to anyone.

2021-09-13We had a wonderful experience moving with Hercules. They were quick, efficient, and a very good price compared to some of the national companies I got quotes from. We did not have any dings or problems with the move. The team was respectful and could not have been nicer. This was 100 times better than our last moving experience. They even put our beds back together at the new house which we thought was above and beyond. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a move.

2021-09-28👎🤔🚫Stop‼️Not a good experience! No problem solving skill, (Couldnt figure out how to park the truck)❓The two movers had poor communication skills/NO communication. I had to call the office for information. The truck left several times at long periods of time! The last time the truck left the driver made were gestures as if to say forget you forget this job Im out ‼️ I called the office again! The person answering the phone had an IDK attitude. Saying that the movers could not park the truck. I asked her what was I supposed to do? Today is my moving Day. Her response was I dont know! After several calls to moving companies, granite this was last minute. I finally called a small moving company that I had used to move furniture several years ago. He said no problem. Thank God I was able to move on time.😊

2021-08-27Very bad experience with this company. Do not use them if you moving in urban areas. I hired them to move from downtown apartment. The truck drivers could not find a place to park. Meanwhile their competitor company had no issue setting up yellow cones and moving one of my neighbors. they told me to look for the parking and call them when I have it, Meanwhile office said they are going to charge me full rate while we wait. Nicely I tried to negotiate the rate. What I ended up getting is an owner calling me back and yelling at me for not reserving a parking spot myself. If you are not used to moving within busy downtown area, then do not offer your services.

2021-07-27I used Hercules for a Office Moving Project I was overseeing and Mr. Russell, Mr. Eric & Mr. Patrick went above and beyond moving over 500 boxes in a timely manner. I will definitely use Hercules Moving any time I have a moving project. These gentlemen set the bar high and I cant wait to use them again.

2020-08-05Dont look anywhere else. I cant speak highly enough about Hercules Moving & Storage. They moved us from our house to storage in 2015 and then from storage to our new house in 2016. We had an excellent experience. The estimated time was on target, and the movers clearly knew what they were doing. Fast forward to 2020. We had another double-move, and this time we decided to use a different, local company for the move to storage. It was a nightmare...they took twice as long as they quoted, and it took them two full trucks plus a return trip the following day with a third truck that was full on the bottom but not stacked. Hercules moved us from storage to our new home, out of state. The stuff that was on 3 trucks at the other company fit on 1 3/4 trucks for Hercules. These guys know how to pack a truck. They worked together and handled our belongings with so much more care than the other company we used. Dont be distracted by a clean-cut moving company with nice, college kids doing the work. The movers at both companies were nice and respectful, but only the ones at Hercules had the experience to do it efficiently (both with space used and time used).

2020-07-27I used Hercules Moving and Storage for the third time in July, 2020. My previous moves were in 2007 and 2013 and my previous review is on Yelp. this time around was another great experience. Russell and the two other men who were him moved us from an apartment on the second and third floor of a two family house to a single floor residence. The day was 95 degrees and the heat index was well over 100. They showed up right on time, were unfailingly polite, not a single curse word about the heat, the steep stairs, the parking. Everything was handled with care. They took apart my bed and put it back together and even tightened the legs on my dining room chairs. There was no issue with heavy items. All three worked unceasingly. At the end of the day I signed the paperwork and they started walking out, not even waiting expectantly for a tip. I had to stop them to tip before they left.I recommend Hercules to anyone in Cincinnati.
