On time and quick! Craig was very kind, professional, and thorough. Top notch employee! Only negative to note is that it was hot today and having to wear a long black polyester shirt and long pants would give me heat exhaustion, I would recommend some summer shirts and shorts for your employees. Thank you!
Gabe performed my first service. He was on time,polite, and covered the outside....provided a text follow up so I know what he did since I was on a work zoom call at the time. Im looking forward to the next visit for more in depth coverage and continued education on the program.
Craig was very professional. He detailed the procedure he was going to do. In making his inspection of the exterior of our home, he found 2 wasps nests. When trying to reach the nests with the current sprayer failed, he explained that he will have the equipment to remove the nests when he returns next month.
The sales boy was very un professional. Alot of people in my neighborhood thought they were scamers and made a Facebook post about it. My time for scheduled for 5pm due to noone being home until then. My first appointment the guy called to see if he could come earlier and I told him no as I was at work. He called me back at 4pm and said he has to cancel due to his shift ending at 5. Which why would they give him my order if that was tru. The second guy that came was very nice and did a great job. If I decided to use this service again I would want that same person to come.
I NEVER leave negative reviews, but the door-to-door salesman of this company had me so baffled by his behavior, I had to come leave one. This kid would not take no for an answer. I never buy any service without researching it first, so why would I buy a random one I’ve never asked for on the spot just because some stranger told me I could get a deal? I kept saying “I’ll look into it.” And he just kept talking as I was literally saying “thank you, goodbye” and closing the door. I know the company is replying saying “this isn’t our business standard”, but clearly they need to weed out some of their sales people if several reviews mention this experience.
Rep was very nice but did not perform what salesman stated. He did not do both the inside and out for the initial visit. Also, I was under the impression that they would get rid of the actual infestations not just deter them. Time will tell in how well their method works.
If you want a company that violates their own contract and won’t let you cancel even after your pets get sick from their product then use hawxs pest control. Their customer service team is awful, you spend more time on hold then you do speaking to someone, and when you do speak to someone they are extremely rude. I’ve never worked with a worse company than hawx pest control.
We awaited our 4th treatment. Scheduled between 3-5 pm today with a 15 minute grace period. Rearranged multiple schedules and missing time with a family member who is on her deathbed to be here.. Arrived at 315 and waited until 445. Called HQ where I was told he arrived early and left at 306. Someone was at house between 255 and 308 so this is obviously a lie, but I digress.I received a phone call (no voicemail) while I was at work at 157. I couldnt answer because I have to work. HQ told me he arrived early, stayed 15 mins then left. So, he is counting time prior to 3 oclock as wait time.I said this is inexcusable, as Im now being called a liar when there was only a 7 minute period (308-315) where no one was present,and Id like this months payment refunded. I am told its auto pay and it cant be refunded. I say this is not true. He tells me he can cancel contract but Id be responsible for what was left of 6 month treatment. Absolutely not.I say for him to add up all ive paid thus far for the received 3 treatments. $530. I ask if that seems fair when they are the ones who broke the contract by allegedly leaving 6 minutes after the scheduled window started. If the tech arrived at 230 and left at 306... he was only there for 6 minutes. Thats a breech of contract. I am not responsible for anything more and I am not responsible for paying for a months service that I did not receive.Do yourself a favor: get your pest control sevices elsewhere. This places is a joke. Not to mention they schedule monthly services without consulting you and to change it is a task all in its own...I now have to wait 24-48 hours before a manager will contact me. Absurd.
I wish I could give negative stars on this feedback. Too bad they wont allow me to submit this review without a star. I am deeply regretting on my decision to get the pest control completed from Hawx. Before the pest control, I was seeing only few bugs on the outside perimeter of my house but 1 week after the pest control, I started seeing army of mosquitoes and red ants outside my house, to the extent that I couldnt even step out of my house. Pathetic service from Hawx as it appeared they sprayed mosquito eggs instead of the chemical for treatment. Terminating my service with immediate effect. WARNING : Its a TRAP guys, DO NOT SIGN any Service Agreement with them.
Signed up for contract yesterday on the 7th of July 2022. Told them I have fly infestation problem. They said they would take care of it. Technician came and Straight up told me that they dont. And that their product only take care of spidera and ants ect. I was lied to and signed a contract. They are liars and cheaters. Dont sign up
Door to door salesman ignores no soliciting signs and is very pushy and rude. I politely informed him of no soliciting signs which he didnt see except one is posted on the doorbell he rang. He kept going. I politely said no thank you. He kept going. I had to just close the door and walk away. Another neighbor told him theres no soliciting in this neighborhood and his response was its a free country.
I’m a current customer. This company never shows up within the appointment window they are set to show up in. This makes scheduling the interior service nearly impossible. They have missed my last two interior services as well as one today. Extremely unprofessional. Do not recommend.
For warn anyone using this company. They will charge you over 400. to cancel. I am now over drawn in my bank account. They only will refund half the 445.00 so either I keep them now and get half back or I lose the whole 4450.00. Did not expect to lose work that would of paid to continue services.My neighbor has cameras they said they just poured granulars at end of their driveway and left.
I filled out an online form on Angi for pest control. Hawx was the only service provider Angi listed which I thought was really odd. Since 8:00 AM I have had calls from two different phone numbers, both indicating they were Hawx, practically every hour and it has now been almost 12 hours. After a while of them constantly calling me, I texted both numbers and asked them to please stop calling me. I know they were both cell numbers as my texts went through successfully and neither number was in the Cincinnati area code. Im still getting calls after texting them. I did call a toll-free number only to find out it was Hawx. I told them what I needed and they said they dont cover that service and to call 1-800-CRITTER. I thought the calls would stop after that, but they didnt. Incredibly annoying! On a side note, if you dont want to be bombarded with phone calls from service providers, DO NOT use Angi! Just got another call from Hawx as I was typing this. 😡
The door to door salesmen are rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. Why would anyone sign up for a service and sign an absurd contract when you could get the same survives from a company on an ad needed basis.Any company that uses high pressure for to door dashers is an absolute scam, so falling for it. No way half of these reviews are even real.
Today Lonnie was rep for scheduled service. I appreciate receiving a date reminder from the office and a 30 minute notice prior to arrival.Lonnie followed safety protocol wearing a mask and covering his shoes prior to entering the house. He inspected the areas of concern and advised the results in a professional manner. He proceeded to provide regular service in basement area and home exterior.Thank you for your courtesy and prompt service.
Lonnie was the employee that treated our house (inside and out) today. He was extremely professional and thorough!! He called 25 mins before arriving, and wore booties and a mask while in the house. We’ve been using Hawx for 2 years now and have been very pleased with the service.
I hate this company how ever long ago when the first salesperson came to my door while I was mid pregnancy with my second and my first was still an infant. My dog was barking and I was just anxious and wanted this person away from me so I signed up to get them to go away so they said I had to do four treatments or I would get fined more for going out of contract all confusing for someone home alone with a baby now Im just stuck paying for a service that I didnt want and dont need but here I am stuck with one more treatment somehow I know Ive already had four but whatever dont use.
Austin was on time, very professional and friendly! He did a great job on our first service inside and outside. There were also two friendly gentlemen that stopped by the neighborhood (the day before) during a hot day to talk to me about Hawx services, of which I had never heard of the company previously but I’m glad they stopped by!
I highly recommend! Technicians are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Customer service is always helpful! Mike Latchford was wonderful! He explained the process and walked the property with me. When he was finished he checked in with me and even took a minute to pet my dog.
I contacted Hawx on Saturday about an ant problem and they sent a tech named Perry to my house Monday morning. Perry was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. He communicated exactly what he was going to do, explained why and set the expectations going forward. I have a follow up in 30 days, I would really appreciate the same technician, (Perry) coming back.
I had a great experience with the team member Perry. Very educated, honest and easy to talk to. I felt very at ease. He answered all my questions. He made sure I was satisfied with all the details of this service including the cost of the services before I signed anything. Double checked before leaving if he answered all my questions. All around great customer service!
Hawx came out and sprayed to get rid of ants, spiders, carpenter bees, and also provided an option for rodents.Mike Latchford was professional, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the service. He explained things clearly and answered all questions I had and did a very good job. I would definitely recommend this service.
This is by far the worst experience with door to door sales we have ever had. Promised a one time treatment and then tricked us into a contract. Called to cancel and they charged us $220 to cancel even after explaining we did not ask or authorize this. The sales guy never told us about this “contract” and assured us we were signing for the one time treatment. I am in shock that they have high ratings given all the reviews/complaints on Facebook and BBB. What a disgrace of a “company”. The account manager was also not helpful nor concerned that reps were treating people this way.
I was extremely satisfied with the first treatment we received today. The technician Mike Latchford was extremely professional and thorough. He did an excellent job at explaining everything that he did today and answered all of the questions that I had. I would recommend Hawx and Mike Latchford!
Mike Latchford and his trainee, were very personable and accommodating. Our appointment was on Friday before the holiday weekend and I was worried that they were going to be stressed or in a rush.In fact they were amused by our neighbors beagle and seeing the lizards!
They have got rid of everything inside of the house but not outside of the house I still have ants,Grub worms, spiders what you spread in the yard It’s still laying in the yard hasn’t dissolved and now I got so many moles in my yard that I’ve never had before and I feel like you’re feeding the moles and not killing the bugs
These people have come to my door to sell me something 3-4 times at 9pm. I have toddlers and dogs that are sleeping. They continue to show up after being asked to not stop by-especially after 6pm. Not only is this company not very courteous, the men who are selling are cocky and arrogant. This company seems to have no diversity in its staff either. I would never have this company do anything for me, since their staff is so rude.
Ive had Hawx for 7 months and they are completely ineffective! I have tried multiple times to contact them, they send a guy and spray for a few minutes and charge you hundreds of dollars for it! I am 100000% dissatisfied and they dont seem to care! I call and leave msgs and ask to get back and they dont. No one should use this business, they cant her rid of ants or anything else! Completely useless!
Before I got this text, I called in to the company to let them know how impressed I was with the service I got from Antonio. He was professional and willing to go above and beyond to help me. I would like to have him service my home every time I need it. He called ahead to let me know He was on his way. When he got to my home he let me know he was there. I work just two minutes around the corner so I met him there. Very impressed with his professionalism and work ethic for such a young guy..
Mr. Mike Latchford came to my home in Nky he was very through and explained the steps to eradicate the pests of course. I feel pretty confident about having year round service as I’m in a pretty wooded area and it’s been pretty hard getting services as everyone is booked up for the year. I have to say overall it was just great he’s a pretty nice guy who even my bird took a liking to lol so for those who have pets he is pet friendly! So if you’re stuck looking for help on the cusp of Summer approaching it definitely can’t hurt to give Hawx a call.
Door-to-door salesman will lie straight up. Claim theyre treating your neighbors when its not true, and try to push you into signing up without going over the whole agreement. Just know its a contract deal totalling hundreds of dollars, and not some low price deal. They use scam tactics and try to abuse the elderly into signing contracts with them. The business should be ashamed. Dont believe the paid reviews and dont support these horrible business practices.
This was my first time using Hawx Pest Control and Mike Latchford was great. He explained the various treatments that he was going to apply, he listened to my concerns about the various bug issues that I was having in the yard and since the application the bug issues have gone away.
The absolute worst ever ! Also they stole 211$ out of my account after cancellation . Btw irtwas cancel at anytine , no problem .. Product doesnt work and also very much robbery .. There was no time frame on the cancellation as stated on the recorded phone call .. I do not recommended this company .. Do yourselves a favor and call orkin ..
Hawx has people come door to door to sell their services.This is how I herd of them and signed up. When I signed up I was told they would be spraying for ticks, flees and mosquitoes. Normally I would spray my own yard but I thought hey why not. Well come to find out after my dogs got flees they were ONLY spraying for SPIDERS! So I was paying over $100.0 Every 3 months for them to spray for spiders. Be careful very unhappy with their services. Also I have cameras around our house when they would come to spray they won’t even go to our back yard. Only spraying the front yard. This happened multiple times. Now when I called and told them they did send someone out again to do the back yard. I hope this helps. I will be returning to doing my own yard moving forward
This business is SHADY! I had a sales representative come to my door. He told me if i signed something he would lock the price in for me and he would come back by the next day to see if i was still interested. He told me if I wasnt I could cancel no problem. He did not come back and still signed me up for service. I have tried to contact customer service for 3 months to tell them i wasnt interested and no one ever answers their phones. I even turned away a guy that tried to treat my yard because I DID NOT WANT IT. They did not care. Then when they try to collect money she says well if you pay now ill only charge half...ARE YOU KIDDING! I didnt want your service from the beginning why would you deserve anything!
I wish I could give ZERO STARS. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Sales pitch from young man offering a deal on Memorial Weekend made it sound great, too bad the company doesn’t match his attitude he puts out! As soon as I heard the word “contract” I should’ve declined! I’ve once again learned my lesson. We’ve had 2 treatments, both times the yard from front perimeter to back perimeter, what the sales guy said, was never done. Twice we were told they would send someone out. I called spoke with some supervisor and the only way she said would fix this is send a manager out to put granules down. So done! They came today leave a door hanger, NO NAME, NO DATE, NO DESCRIPTION, oh because they sent a technician not a manager! F this company, they do nothing to satisfy the customer!
Completely awesome!! They are very professional and friendly all the way from the salesman to the technicians. I am very pleased with my service they provided. I waited for my second treatment to post a review, because i wantes to get a full feel for the company. Hawx Pest Control has brought me so much peace of mind! I have a terrible fear of spiders, and since we have begun treatments with Hawx, I have seen how effective their services truly are! Chris is so professional, and always very thorough with explaining where/when/and why he is treating each area of our home. They are always respectful of our time and our property. Their customer service is top notch, and I know that their treatments are not only the most effective weve ever received, but also safe for our kids, furniture, hardwood floors and landscaping! I cant say enough about how happy we are with Hawx; I highly recommend them!
Our service went very well! They showed up right away at my scheduled time. He was very friendly and professional. He found a nest of mud bees in our landscaping at the front of our house that we didnt even know existed and got rid of it along with all of the other spiders, ants, wasps, etc. I cant wait to see the results of the spray over time.
I wouldnt deal with this company if my house wzs OVERRUN with Pests. Salesman came to our door and told us for small fee they could do our house and then it would be done quarterly and we could cancel anytime after that with no problems. After one more treatment we decided we no longer wanted the service. When I went to cancel, I was told that we had to have 5 treatments or we would be charged $200 dollars. After a long talk with the manager I paid the $200 and will NEVER deal with this company again. SCAM ARTISTS!!!!
My mother-in-law hired them to spray our house and lawn in order to keep out ants and fleas in other pests ever since theyve been spraying weve been overrun with carpenter ants which is one of these specific bugs that they had sprayed for. Not only that but we still have regular ants coming in as well.

The man Josh Remsky that came to my door selling this service became Rude after we said that we were not interested.He asked us would we like to know what he was going to say next.I dont think that is a good way to sell a service.Definitely needed more sales training and some manners.He came back to my house hours later and told us to F off.
For the services to deal with the ants we had, it was great. My only issue is the person who came door to door to get you to use this company lied about how long we had to keep it before we could cancel. And that was not right. However when I called to see how much longer we had to keep the service the gentleman I talked to, Matthew Prince made it a little better till we could cancel.
Had a guy come to our door and gave us a sales pitch. He told us that we could cancel anytime, and quoted us a specific price.However, you CANNOT cancel at anytime, and the price went up after the initial spray. Beware of this company. One of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had in my life. Sales rep came to my house (Cade) and lied about whether they went into the attic for mice. So, I signed up with them. Technician showed up and said they don’t go into the attic, and he said I could cancel without penalty. I call them, and they (Matthew) threaten to charge me $225 to cancel, even tho I explained to them what happened. They also threatened to charge me $105 bucks for the service that was never performed. I actually got the sales rep to admit he lied in text message, and that still wasn’t enough. I actually had to cancel my bank card to keep them from charging me.After I cancelled my card, they called back to tell me my account was closed. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Im on hold right now with customer service to cancel my subscription for the 2nd time. They wont stop coming to my house and sending me bills each quarter. Their services rendered no decrease in bugs and insects around the house and I have multiple videos Ive watched of the 5 minutes they take to spray around my foundation. This company is selling snake oil around Cincinnati and they dont deserve your business.
Don’t believe them! My wife signed up for a “$50” promo service while they were going door to door in our neighborhood telling you it was only $50 with no obligation. After month or so they were continually calling telling us we are locked into a contract which my wife has been adamant that we did not want the service. TODAY they made an unauthorized charge to our card for $107 which they should not even have on file. We will be looking at legal options.
They lie about how much they charge you. My contract said $79/ month. They charged me $189 on July 11th. When I called and asked why and what happened they said services already performed and I couldnt get a $110. They said there was nothing they could do. My contract doesnt say that much. Who the hell can pay that much a month to treat ants and mosquitoes??
This company is horrible! They have no integrity and very poor customer service. I have asked them not to come back to my home on multiple occasions via, text, email, and live conversation. We had an medical/concern issue and asked them not to come back and they won’t cancel my contract unless I pay hundreds of dollars. When I requested the service they insured me it was safe and would not cause any issues...all lies! It’s full of dangerous chemicals! Do you self a favor and try a different company!!

Its a trap! Apparently the initial contract is for 5 visits, rather than the 4 that were explained to me on initial signup. I was told that I was receiving a discounted rate, and that all they ask is that I keep them for a year, and that they come quarterly. In any reasonable persons mind, 4 quarters, 4 visits, and I can cancel. When I called after my 4th visit to cancel, because its just not worth the money, I was told that I couldnt cancel until after my 5th visit. Horrible.
The company is a rip off ,i cancelled the service 2017 with a representative over the phone. And was billed for service not performed for 2018 for 573.00 in 2019 and when ask why did they perform a service outside and did not come into my house for a year and a half without payment after i cancelled in 2017 the response was( because we have to ) this company is a disgrace.
Tried to call on Dec 26, as I was scheduled for Dec 27 service to see if I could get a “ballpark” time frame. On hold for 15 min, then told I would be called back when an operator was available. Got no call. When I called next morning I was told they weren’t even open on the 26th. Don’t you think they could have put that message on their phone system? They were responsive that day to giving me a two hour window.
This company is dishonest. They send sales associates door to door that makes offers that are not real and lock you into contracts that are 5X higher than you agree upon. When I was talking to the billing manager, I could hear two other agents in the background arguing about contracts.
I have tried multiple times to have them stop coming to my house and treating it. When I call to cancel they tell me Im on the hook for 2 more services but they dont realize Ive been keeping track of this claim via text/email. They told me in January I had 2 more, they told me in April I had 2 more and now its July and they are saying I have 2 more! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY! I have to contact my bank now to get them to stop. Besides, I hired them for ants and the havent put a dent on them. There is little evidence that they do anything when they do come out.
Bad customer service.. Ive repeatedly called customer service and had to reschedule appointments after Ive made it clear only to have Service out at a specific time ..I am to be present at the time of service.. Also, The billing is always wrong .. Also, after so many treatments, I found no difference in Mosquitoes, Spiders or Fleas between treatments vrs no treatment ..After months of arguments, I warned them next time they attempt to come on my Property, I will file Trespassing Charges and Harrassment Charges, They have ignored my Orders .. I filed a complaint with the police department..Also, in order to cancel Service they charge a 250.00 fee ... So Beware of this sham Company .. Endless Robo Calls and Text Messages .. I dont expect this Company to be around much longer due to the incompetence of management and poor product..

2022-04-23Chris came to perform the service and he was amazing! He was super knowledgeable and informative and he answered my LONG list of questions in a friendly way. He actually kept me from canceling the service because of how forthright he was.The sales people told me they would patch up entry holes, which Chris informed me they dont actually do. Naturally, I was pretty angry. I contacted customer service and they were professional and remedied the situation. In the end, I am very happy with my first service from them.

2022-06-23Today was my first service with Hawx. Craig texted me 30 minutes prior to coming and was right on time for my 8:00 appointment. He explained everything and was very professional and kind. He even took a few minutes to love on my animals and asked questions about where my cats hang out to make sure he didnt get the spray in their favorite areas. All the services explained during the sales call were completed, including knocking down a wasp nest on my patio and Craig made me feel comfortable with a stranger coming into my home. After the service, I immediately received a text of what chemicals were used with pictures of the service being done. Also, I just wanted to add that I chose Hawx because I do home care visits for a living and Hawx representative arrived to a patients home during my visit and was extremely knowledgeable and professional and kind during his sales pitch and I appreciated it. I signed up for the service where we get treatment every 3 months. Very satisfied with this service and the tech!

He went above and beyond & texted me after with pictures of the job and to let me know he moved our doggies outside water bowl away from where he was spraying! 2022-04-21We initially contacted for removal of a hornet’s nest under the second floor eave. That job was done quickly and successfully. After that we just decided to continue with their quarterly service. They spray outside cracks, sweep the eaves, and have also sprayed garage and unfinished basement when asked. I really don’t like bugs especially spiders and though we didn’t have many, I haven’t seen anything since the service began. Would highly recommend.

2022-06-02Craig came out to do a re-service for us because the first time we had been treated it rained a bunch and I think that may have caused the first treatment to be less effective. I called and they came out as soon as they were available. Craig was patient and very thorough. He came inside for spot treatments and redid the yard as well. Craig was awesome and you guys should definitely have him come do your house as well!!!!

2022-05-25Very unprofessional billing and payment department. These guys charged cancellation fee and when I reached out to them, they said they will refund 50% of cancellation charges and remaining 50% will be adjusted in my future billing. However, instead of refunding the 50% amount they charged me again 50% money. I was very disappointed with all these things and reached out to their billing department again but unfortunately no one from billing department picked up my call. Their customer service said they have arranged a call back but even after 2 days nobody has reached out to me. I did not expect such kind of unprofessionalism from Hawx. They should properly educate their billing department people in order to serve better. I will not recommend Hawx to anyone.

2022-06-13They went above and beyond to accommodate me. We needed the whole building. He was so understanding, not only did he go below Terminexs quote he was even willing to squeeze us in the same freaking day. I believe his name was Skylar, I couldnt recommend him more.
