They’re trying to be funny and not actually help out. They told me to choose which apartments would be a good fit . And I gave them a list and they just printed out Zillow rentals of the properties . Instead of giving me the application they just sent me the apartments back in my face . I am the youngest person staying they’re and it seems like the workers are jealous or vindictive. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY

When I stayed here a few years ago it was horrible. The food went straight through everyone. It’s full of drama. Everyone has chores to the point it’s strict meanwhile one woman there lived like a queen being her relative worked there. She didn’t have to do any chores and took most of the donations for herself and her family. That woman started a huge fight with me and verbally attacked me, therefore I left. I do not suggest this place.

Very disappointed...i started calling Dec 18 through Dec 20. Leaving messages 3 times a day.I was calling to see how many children were there as my husband and I wanted to take gifts to the children for Christmas. Left messages with all four options they gave me,and no one returned my call. Its bad enough these children are doing without, but evidently the workers could care less. They need to hire people that care.What a shame.

Was trying to help a woman get help with housing she had a job had been staying in my home for almost a year. I took her to the haven center who told her they could help her with rent or security dep for an apartment, when we got there there were 2 pretty good size women sitting in an office could see us at the counter but neither one of them moved off theyre large behinds to even see why we were there. As a person who works 40 hrs a week raises 3 grand children and I do it alone Im in my 60s I thought to myself so this is where my tax dollars go in the City of Lorain. The haven center in case people dont know this is a home less shelter and believe me when I tell YOU I pray every day I never need the help of the worthless personal that they have working there or not working is more like it. The STAFF there are without a DOUBT WORTHLESS.

The Haven Center is a very good organization they have concerns about all the people wants and needs and the director of the Center Gloria is a very loving and caring person shes totally for the people and the staff there awesome

Lazy woman work there sit on THIER fat butts while phone is ringing, people standing at the desk that they know arent temp. Residents and very RUDE. I WORK GLAD TO SEE MY TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR THEM TO SIT AND GOSSIP INSTEAD OF DOING A JOB. VERY SORRY FOR THE HOMELESS WHO NEED HELP AND ARE OUT THIER HELPING THEMSELVES ONLY TO BE PUT ON HOLD WHILE THE STAFF THERE DONT WANT TO BE BOTHERED. VERY NOT BUSINESS ORIENTED. WHERES THIER BOSSES?

They took my family in when we needed somewhere to stay then they took my son in too. They do everything to help you as long as you are trying to help yourself . the only bad thing was the cooking. It was never cooked all the way so we didnt eat there.
