Haunted Hoochie in Pataskala
Absolutely the most awesome scary haunted attraction I have ever been to. I highly recommend and will be going back every year. I dont recommend for kids under 14. And I saw some little kids parents beware. Not stuff you should want your kids to see. It made me mad!!!! Love dead acres. And they have my business and full support always.
They used to put on a great production, but insist on mixing personal beliefs and politics with their business and pushing it into the public. I was also unaware of their Swastika Saturday until it surfaced in the news in 2018. While I believe theyve stopped this particular event, it was about 70ish years too late.
It was awesome!!! Dont be cheap. Get the VIP tickets. We literally walked right up to the ticket booth, and then right into the start of the attraction. ( If not, be pre-pared to wait about 3 hours in line to get to where we walked right into.) We got masks and necklaces, but you cant use them until your out of the attraction. They also have a cool bad trip 3D maze. Lots of jump scares. And they will grab you up! Some pretty fun, and some pretty scary parts! Great visuals, props, and actors. Bring about $100 per person, and you will have a fun night! It defiantly puts you in the spirit of Halloween! Would recommend!
This place was by far one of the best haunted houses I have been to!! They have entertainment while you wait to go inside, the haunted house really makes you feel like you’re never going to get out of it, the workers touch you at every turn. I was separated from my boyfriend multiple times and witnessed some pretty sick stuff in there to where I left a little nauseous-everything you want when you go to a haunted house! Would definitely make the 2 hour drive again to go!
This was my first time coming to the Haunted Hoochie. I brought my 11 year old son for his birthday. We were absolutley amazed. It was litrally the best experience ever and we would definetly come back again. I only gave four stars because the restroom area was dirty and dark. Other than that its awesome.
We took my 10 year old son. This is the first haunted house hes ever been to. The actors here did an awesome job and made the experience here for him great! Several of them went out of there way to scare him specifically and ask for his name. You guys do an awesome job and put on a great show!
Hands down one of the best haunted houses in the world. This place is not for the faint of heart or the squeamish. I am a haunted house actor myself and this place is like Mecca to most of us. For 10 years now, every haunt season I find the time to make the 2-hour trip from Cleveland just to take a walk through this amazing place. The haunted hoochie will always be, for me.. the best haunted house thats ever been
This was the most insane, badass, brutal and crazy haunted house Ive ever been too, seriously though dont take your kids here they will be traumatized, they touch you alot and push you around a little but never hurt you, I would definitely come back and I live over an hour away. Worth every penny and the drive, it is a bit muddy outside so where boots. If it rains.
I went here for my birthday (I’ve been wishing to go here for years) I’m not easily scared but with all of the hype I thought I would give it a chance since they can touch you. 100% not worth it in my opinion. I got the VIP/Fast pass, an I’m glad I got that because if I would’ve waited in that line for that; I would’ve been more disappointed.
Line was entirely too long (over 2 hrs) and the actual haunt did not justify the wait. Ppl were smoking marijuana in line, blowing it in our faces. It was not scary, more annoying than anything. The actors kept touching you and getting in your face instead of actually jumping out and scaring you.. Definitely overpriced and drove 2.5 hrs..
EVERYONE HERE IS ON DRUGS. I took my children here and i could swear half the employees were so high they didn’t know we were even there. They reeked of weed and couldn’t walk straight. They were acting erratic and had huge pupils. They looked terrifying and it wasn’t the makeup. I genuinely feared for our lives, not in a fun halloween way, but that these people made us very uncomfortable. I will never come here again and I’m telling everyone i know to skip this place.
This was our 2nd time here and this surpassed the first time. I didnt think that would be possible! The actors were epic and so into it. You never saw them coming and the fact that they reached out and grabbed you now made it that much more scary. The whole thing lasted a good 30-40 min so you definitely got your moneys worth. We got the fast pass and were at the front within 25 min. It is muddy so wear boots or shoes youre ok with messing up. I totally see why ppl come yearly because the theme changing every year makes it like youve never been before.
First time going to this one. Worth it! I had know idea we were going to be touched, so that was a scary surprise 🤣 By touched I mean grabbed, poked, and touched by tons of chain saws! This is my 2nd favorite haunted attraction Ive ever been to. Definitely get the VIP tickets to go to the front of the horrendous line😬
Not that scary and SEVERELY Overrated!! Was really disappointed hoping to be scared out of my socks. Didn’t even flinch once. All the actors did was yell or grab you, and it didn’t really make the experience any better. Animatronics we’re pretty cool and the visuals were nice. Hardly any actors in the 2nd part of the Haunt. Pretty much felt I was walking thru a 3D Maze. Don’t waste your time or money.
We stood in line for 4.5 hours and did not get to participate due to electrical issues that began the last hour and a half of our wait time. Although I understand this was out of their control, there was no communication whatsoever about what was going on/when we might expect the attraction to open back up again (we only figured out the issue after talking with security). When a member of our group tried talking to the ticket booth workers (who were still selling tickets despite the issues) they told us there were absolutely no refunds, and lied to us about the attraction getting ready to open back up. When we went back to talk to them 45 minutes later, they said the same thing about no refunds and lied to our faces, saying the attraction was up and running, despite the same people sitting by the entrance for the past hour and a half. After 4.5 hours of waiting with no end in sight to the electrical issues, no communication to guests, and no chance of a refund, we decided to just leave, as it was almost 2 AM, and we had an hour and a half drive back home. It seemed to us as though their idea was to have guests wait until they were eventually tired of waiting and would just leave, as we did. Extremely disappointed with the service we received at this facility and the unprofessionalism of staff in handling of the situation. Would not recommend this attraction to anyone.
10 years ago this was THE haunted attraction. But the last few years its like everyone is on a smoke break and all you get is a bunch of dated, malfunctioning animatronics, peppered with edgy teenage drama. It literally became the kind of place it was mocking. Snooze-fest. Just stay home.So long hooch. The sun has set on your reign.
Lines take forever and it was cops with swat team and stuff cause someone got jumped I guess but besides that it was fun but if you get seizures fast from flashy lights this place aint for you but like I said besides that it was fun and the staff is cool. But hold on to your group or you will get lost.
I waited for about 2 hours at the hoochie and we were getting close to getting in then the line stopped moving and the power kept going in and out. A worker said they were on break and another one said the power circuit went out. So i continued to wait for another 2 hours in the same spot but we eventually decided to leave because it was nearing 2:30am and we arrived at 10pm. I emailed about a refund and tried to find a number to call but both were unsuccessful. Never wasting my time or money at the haunted hoochie again.
I witnessed the employee at the door (white girl) totally disrespect the group of kids,of another race. She called security they called police. The police threw down a young boy.Snatched another girls hair off. Then told them to leave after over $200 in tickets and 3 hours in line. Dont lie.. its all recorded. Shame on you.I dont know those kids, but they did not deserve that treatment by the establishment and the CPD
This is the most intense haunted house I think Ive ever been to. I was afraid to look around at times but it didnt matter. I was still terrified. You will scream. You will be touched. Take heed to their warnings. Not for sensitive people, people with certain physical and mental conditions, including ptsd. After going thru it i see why. If your looking for a truly scary haunted house this is the one.
I am a haunted house connoisseur, and let me tell you this place was AWFUL! They have great potential. Their decorations are amazing! Not well run. They run you through the haunt like a herd of cattle. Theres no gaps whatsoever. So theres no fear factor. You can see everything thats coming. I love the jump scares that a good haunted house will give. I read all the reviews on this place. Do NOT buy into the hype like I did. I can at least say I went. But will NEVER go again! I drove 3 hours there, 3 hours back and stood in line for 3 hours. Not worth it
I love this place. I enjoy going every year. But just like all the other reviews said, the line cutting was TERRIBLE. Waited an hour & a whole group cut us & when we said something to them about it, they were looking for trouble. Somebody needs to monitor for that, it seems to be a big issue. If you plan on going, get there as early as possible! We arrived at about 8:30 exactly & still had to wait in line for an hour & a half.Loved the animatronics & the actors, they did great!
NOT WORTH IT. We drove from dayton a little more than an hour. Price isnt bad at only $25, waited in like for 2+ hours. Line cutting is happening from beginning to end. And workers dont care. The actual attraction has a few jump scares and cool scenes. But it get over crowded and annoying. The special this year is nothing special. The 3d maze is a cool idea, but not scary at all. Overall I would not go again and I would not recommend.
Came from Louisville, oh. Well worth the overnight trip.little disappointed they had technical difficulties resulting in waiting for 3 hours, but you cant control everything.like I said...it was still worth the time/money.yhe fact that they can touch/grab made the experience even better... big shout to whomever helped me out...forgot my debit card at ticket counter.didnt realize it until the next day..after sending an email. He promptly got back with me and,had my card and sent it back to me.that really shows they go the extra mile for their customers..we will return!!
This place rocks!!they will scare the shif out if you and make you want to come back again and again.. 1st time going last night and I will be back again before Halloween.. Very friendly people as well..come one come all do the haunted hoochie you wont be disappointed I promise you.
Absolutely my favorite place!!! we drive from Louisville KY (about 4 hrs) and been through 4 times and it is amazing. Very intense even when they can’t touch you and actors are very energetic even at the end of the night and great line entertainment to pass the time just an amazing place. It’s 100% a must go
This was my first experience with a haunted house. I have a few things to say, first off dress appropriately. It was chilly and VERY muddy. Boots or old shoes are best. Next the line was long but that was expected. We got there around 9:30 pm ish and finished around 12:00 am and that includes waiting in lines and going through the haunted houses. Finally if you suffer from panic disorders, or are just an anxious person in general, it may overwhelm you. I have Anxiety and PTSD and surprising i pushed through. Overall this was a pretty good first experience.I totally recommend this place for families and friends EXCEPT KIDS. KEEP YOUNG KIDS OUT IF THEY ARE SENSITIVE. IF YOU ARE QUESTIONING WHETHER YOU SHOULD BRING THEM. KEEP THEM HOME. Anyways hope this in dept review helps!
I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is the best haunted house ever. The actors are great and everything is so surreal and well done. I can still remember how insane all the specials effects were from the first time I went. This place has ruined all other haunted houses for me because of how amazing it was compared to anything I’ve ever seen. They’re doing an incredible job here and I hope they keep up the good work!
We go every year and enjoy it. This year there was line cutting non stop. Half the line wearing mask. Hardly any actors. We got pushed thru with like 30 people. No scares due to the large group we were in. It was just not worth the money. Next year we won’t be back unfortunately.
Lines where very long very little to no organization between getting your tickets and where your suppose to go after....best part was two of the three girls dancing was a good watch. Other then having some decent prep on the first house and interesting scenes waited 5 hours in almost if not below 40 degree wasn’t gonna leave and not get something for my money .while things had to be fixed and maintenance and filled plus the whole place going on break at once. Other then that will not be returning will not recommend definitely not worth the money
Awesome place! Im here in Ohio from Florida visiting family and we decided to go to a haunted house. My family has all been before but it was my first time! Definitely a must go! We had so much fun! Met some really cool people in line and the Haunted Hoochie did not disappoint! Bring some extra cash for merch! We got some purge light up masks and very cool hoodies! We took 4 teenagers with us and although it has a lot of adult content we didnt care. They have the internet so hey.. We will definitely be back!
I was very disappointed with the social distanceing and facemask protocols they where NOT enforcing. Several people smoking weed in line along with lots of line cuttting and zero employees present. Wait times seemed normal enough. The real let down came once we entered. Very lacklustre to say the least - this is my first time here. But not new to haunted houses - no real consistent theme at all. Very few ppl - and not well dressed - just lots of guys with chainsaws. Was not impressed with all the animatronic scenes they had set up. Would be cool someplace else. Overall thumbs down from our group. Will not be going back foe many years.
Went to (FEAR COLUMBUS) first and it was terrible pushing people through wasnt scary barely any actors and gotta buy tickets online so they can charge mad fees. WENT TO HOOCHIE NEXT DOWN THE ROAD AND OH BOY WHAT A RIDE!!!!!! INTENSE!!!! MAY COME BACK AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND!!!!
Been in line for 4.5 hours. Still waiting to even enter. People coming out telling us it isnt worth the wait. Im right beside the front, no updates on why the line hasnt moved in an hour. Drove 2 hours to get here and have waited 4 hours in line. Already not worth it.
Stood in line with our group of 5 for 3 hours finally got to go thru and was rushed /pushed thru been coming here for years always bring new people with and last night was a disappointment I get if your tired Im tired but I stood in line and I want the same show at 1am that people got at 9pm we drove 2 hours and for once it wasnt worth the time or any of the money that got spent by us to get there or see the show
Made the drive from Buffalo yesterday and it was well worth the trip. This haunt is unique for its amazing and detailed sets and the interactive actors who clearly love their jobs. I absolutely love that the actors can push you around and swear at you. Haunted Houses have become too watered down and family friendly so its a nice change to see something different and extreme. The VIP tickets are worth it and the performers/dancers before even entering the house were also a nice touch. We will definitely be coming back!
A little expensive for the extensive amount of time we stood in line and the short experience. Overall, I give it 4 stars. But in my opinion it only deserves 3-3.5 stars. The event itself was interesting, the graphics and displays were definitely on the gory side which is exactly what your looking for during the Halloween holiday. Before going through the 3D theater you are demanded to wear a pair of 3D glasses. Surely to get the full experience. Once out they requested the glasses back only to find out they were reusing them for others. Kinda disgusting in my opinion. And for spending $90 for 2 VIP tickets are they really that cheap to ask for a pair of cardboard and plastic glasses back? Seems to be a little odd to me.
Well...finally got here. NOT what everyone was expecting (scantily clad gals/guys - only saw one actually, lol...). BUT - the park is on Hollywood level for production value! Incredibly different rooms (my fave were the Gorilla & Dinosaur rooms), and plenty of eye raising experiences throughout. Now a fave for the WOW factor!
Staff was cool but this place is overrated. It is not scary at all. The majority of the place was mechanical monsters that were visually interesting but that was it. Found ourselves wanting it to just be over with. Unless you are buying a VIP pass, prepare to be in line for at least 2 hours..probably more. That is not an exaggeration. The monsters here do touch you and get up close and personal. Some of them smell like liquor and some of them just smell. We went to the Ohio Reformatory in Mansfield last year and should have went back this year. If you are used to good Halloween attractions, this will bore you. Sorry, Hoochie.
I usually love this place but it’s absolutely Not COVID safe!! Many actors were not wearing masks and got right up in your face. It was very crowded and only half (if that) of the crowd was wearing a mask. They do not enforce social distancing or wearing masks. I will not be back until the pandemic is controlled. There will be many cases linked to this place.
I absolutely love the hoochie. I’ve been coming for years. It never gets old. There are so many different scenes, a lot of props, and so many actors. My group had an absolute blast. They were first timers and were terrified! This year I did the VIP pass, which I normally don’t, but we got in right away. It was worth the money spent. The only thing I was not a fan of this year was during the war zone scene. Pointing a gun or directing me with a gun is one thing, but holding it against my head just rubbed me the wrong way. However, I understand it’s part of the scene and they want the experience to be real as possible. They still get my 5 star and deserve it. It’s an amazing haunt and if you have never been I highly recommend it.
This is the best haunt in Ohio. They will touch you and the language is explicit. Some of the scenes are a little more than just gory. The actors are amazing and scenery/props are amazing. I wouldnt take any children under the age of 13 through (and maybe not even that young if they cant handle adult themes). Will definitely continue going year after year!
First time ever!! I give it a 4 because the decorations and set up was pretty killer. I didnt get scared like I thought I would. Due to the grouping I already saw what was happening due to the characters popping out on them so I just waved and smiled under my mask. I was startled twice from the actor dangling the baby in my face frpm behind and the one guy in the junk yard I didnt see. But I wanted to get scared!! Maybe smaller groups so you can get scared but its hard because there were so many people there. They take a lot of time and effort but Maybe I will go again and hopefullly the timing is right and I get scared. Check it put for yourself. Haunted Hoochie come on down.
No enforcement of their own rules at all. A million signs about wearing mask but, not even the workers wear them. $25 a ticket plus $3 parking and you can’t even keep the 3D glasses because they would rather be cheap and risk covid. Also it’s $3 just to park in the muddy grass and potentially getting your car stuck!!! Way too many people in the house at once so those in the back just miss everything. Workers fighting the customers, physically. DEFINITELY will not be back or refer anyone to this place ever. e.
All Live action haunt. Great for ages 14 and up due to grisly death scenes and some scantily clad demons. Best night to go for shorter wait time is Thursdays or buy your tickets online to skip ticket sales line to cut out that line. Awesome mechanical props and scares at every turn. Dress warm and take a rain coat if it is rainy as the lines are not covered.
This haunted maze attraction was definitely worth the wait! It was really fun and imaginative. The actors aren’t afraid to get up close and in your face, so be prepared for lots of jump scares and maybe getting cornered a time or two (if you want a hands-off scare, this place is not for you). My favorite part was the second maze. The 3D version... well, I’m not going to spoil anything, but it really messed with your depth perception and was honestly a work of art. I enjoyed it this year and hope to come back again. Thanks for a unique experience!
I heard this place was so crazy & outrageous but was disappointed with the outcome. the craziest thing i seen was the anti presidential videos playing on a projector lol CORNY. The actual haunt was enjoyable but i feel like it was lackluster due to the covid restrictions this year. The 3D experience was visually pleasing but with a covid mask wearing glasses is not so easy. I can say that there animatronics were definitely my favorite part of the hoochie but for the cost of $45 for vip was not worth it in my opinion.
I loved the haunted house itself but the security around the parking lot was so bad it caused me and another person to get into a collision on the property. Two of the security people yelled at both of our cars and had us back into each other and then walked off to yell at other people. The security seems to almost ruin it for me as its the first way you are greeted when you come in and its dangerous to even park. Other than that the house is awesome and feels like youre legitimately in a horror movie.
I have a tradition where I go to as many haunted houses as possible for my birthday month. This year, my sister and I went to this haunted attraction for the first time yesterday expecting to have a fantastic time. Boy were we wrong...we had to wait in line for four hours in the freezing cold only to be met by an experience that was not even scary. The point of a haunted house is to be scared...the actors barely attempted that. We were constantly being pushed through the entire attraction, and it lasted MAYBE ten minutes if that. On top of that, one of the actors kept tripping me, causing me to lose my shoe. They would not allow me to turn around, nor did he give it back. I had to practically limp through the remainder of the event & I was miserable. Do yourself a favor and save your money. It is not worth it at all.
It was pretty scary considering all the loud music and how many characters jumped out at me. It was probably one of the scariest experiences because Ive never had such a bad panick attack because of those strobe lights. I couldn’t see anything, I could barely hear anything at that point and I was screaming lol but if you’re looking to be scared and panicked as heck then go here. I wouldn’t go back just because of how loud, crowded, and claustrophobic it was.
This was the FIRST Haunted Attraction that I have ever been to, so I dont have anything to compare to it. With that said, my boyfriend and I arrived around 10 pm on November 2nd and right from the start, I was not disappointed. The imagery and overall atmosphere screamed Halloween, which I love. It was cold outside and the line to go into the House was long, which we expected and didnt complain, the wait itself gave us both the courage to go through and the anticipation made everything worthwhile. The scenes, actors and all the work put into every section was FANTASTIC. I have never cursed so much in my life and definitely gave me a huge rush of adrenaline the entire way through. Ill definitely be coming back!
My husband and I went last night with friends! We absolutely loved definitely worth the price! If you don’t like seeing provocativeness; then it’s not for you. There wasn’t a whole lot of it but absolutely love the acts and big seens they did. They actually made everything look realistic! Will definitely be going back next year. Definitely don’t recommend taking children unless they are 13 or up.
Had lots of fun. Waiting in line for over two hours sucked, but I was with someone who made it bearable. Felt kinda rushed once inside, and we honestly moved at our own pace and probably got passed by a dozen groups that had been in behind us. All in all a good experience.
We travelled up from Miamisburg and the lines were long for a Thursday night but moved pretty smooth. The main haunted house was pretty cool but some of the actors were overly aggressive and I felt they relied too much on the touchy feeliness then the catchy scenes. But all in all, it was worth the drive!
By far the best haunted attraction that Ive ever been to. A must go to every year.Actors are 100% on their game! The sets and props are sick. The parking lot is muddy. The line is long (but more than entertaining). But when you first walk in, you realize that youre in for one hell of a time! It HORROR, its gore, its uneven floors, its being grabbed, its being mentally assaulted, its sensory overload, its METAL... this is no normal everyday haunted attraction... this is the HOOCHIE!And for those who are easily offended and dont enjoy the feeling of being pushed past your boundaries... dont go.
This has been my go to haunted house for years and definite my favorite. I was very excited to finally be able to take my daughter this year. The excitement ended kinda quickly, though. The look of this house is still amazing, but the actual experience was not. Instead of groups, its just one continuous cattle line through the house. Even the jump scares dont work because you are watching it happen to the endless line in front of you. I cant understand why they wouldnt break the people into groups. Its not like it was late into the night; we got there when it opened. Its a lot more handsy this year, which is ok, except for the one actor who kept taking it way too far. He yanked my friend by her back bra strap as she tried to avoid him and then shoved her, shoved my daughter into a wall while calling her a C**T, and I got smashed into a wall because he very aggressively shoved my other not at all small friend into me. It didnt come off as an attempt to scare as much as it did a way for this guy to get away with abusing females (he didnt do it to men), and that hasnt sat well with me. We all have various bruises from our visit. This place has lost part of what it was, and thats sad. Its traded quite a bit of its horror for cheap sex. One year there was amazing suspension artists performing in stage, this year it was a group of girls attempting to grind on each other while blowing vap smoke. It was a mess. Its better than other haunted houses, but its no where near as good as it used to be.
No social distancing and no one was wearing masks. i asked for a refund because i didnt want to wait in a line where im garunteed to get covid. they basically laughed in my face and told me to leave. really pathetic honestly. and playing political propaganda on the side of the building is so lame. i love halloween and i love being scared, but this was just so pathetic and dangerous. if you care about your health or the health of others at all, theres lots of haunted houses that are doing a great job and keeping people safe while still being really scary
Lots of actors and animatronics. One of the better haunts in the Columbus area. I dont scare so Im always a hard critic. If you dont like to be touched, this isnt the haunt for you. They will touch you a lot.We arrived at 8:30 & didnt get into the haunt until 11:15. So expect long waits.Definitely could have done without the almost nude dancers. Not sure what that has to do with a haunt??
1st time going there. We drove 2hrs and got the VIP tickets. Definitely well worth it! Great effects, props, lots of toughing and interaction! Only downfall was the group size I felt was too large. A few scenes we missed part of because we were towards the back of the group. But, I will definitely make the trip again next year. It was a great experience and afterwards the actors not only posed for pictures but on impromptu on their own, made it appear as though they were torturing me Lol! Made a great picture to share! Thanks for the memories!
Haunted Hoochie never disappoints... Year after year it blows customers away with an Erie-Evil Hell Of A Good Time. From the moment you party your car to the moment you climb back in, it’s always an adrenaline filled experience. It’s a MUST EXPERIENCE haunted house. Hands down, one of the best in the nation. Easily the best Ohio has to offer / ever offered.
As a 7 year haunter vet, it takes a lot to scare me but I can appreciate a well done haunt. The Haunted Hoochie was ok and I might have given more stars but it was a bit too heavy on animatronics for me. Everyone of those stars though however, are for the live cast! From the goth go go girls to the ghouls, they were fantastic. There were long bouts of lots of motion sensors animatronics though so I took a star away for that. Another star got lost to how long it seemed to take in between them sending in groups, making wait times pretty terrible. Now, at one point they said it was cause they have scenes they need to reset, I get that. However, those scenes dont happen til later in the walk through and honestly, as cool as they were, didnt seem to justify the hug gaps in between sending groups in. We went on Halloween and it was pretty cold. We admittedly were underprepared for that so that aint on the haunt but it should not have taken 2.5 hours before we got in the place when the line was not that long. That said, the actors are great and handsy andy friend got grabbed a bunch and I would totally recommend it for a quality scares at a good price, just be prepared for long wait times.
My Fiancee, me, and a our two friends just went here last weekend after wanting to go for a year and a half. It was a two hour drive for us. As soon as we got there, we bought our VIP tickets. We went straight in. The haunt was awesome! If you Dont like to be touched, you probably shouldnt go. Lots of fun & very scary. VIP is worth it if youre driving a long way. Ive never been more scared in a haunted house. Deffinitly not for kids. We will be back next year!
This is the absolute BEST HAUNTED HOUSE ATTRACTION...... I travel almost 2.5 hours to this place probably twice a year. What makes it so amazing is that they cross those lines, that most other haunts abide by. Anyways keep up the amazing work, an thank you for an amazing time
Very unhappy, we waited in line for over three hours to just get to the front of the line and then the line stop moving. Now we understand that on a weekend the wait is going to be longer, but to stand in one spot for over and hour and be told that an air compressor broke is unacceptable. Also their excuse as to why we had to wait seemed a little suspicious, and this is what I personally seen, after about a half hour of waiting police started roaming around and was looking in any spot that could be a hiding spot. We ended up leaving after waiting more than an hour and never moving. We also never found out what really happened. We will go back to use our tickets and that is only because there are no refunds, but I personally will not gi back after that ever again.
Absolute best haunted house ever! Since we moved to Oregon 2 years ago, this is the only thing we miss about Ohio, the hoochie. Love the scare and worth the wait. Best part... That they can touch you and want you to have a great experience. Miss this place and hope to find one similar here. Its worth the wait in line and the drive of an hour or 2 to go
We went last year. Last weekend of October. Purchased GA tickets and stood in line maybe an hour and half. Besides being rushed through the tours it was a great experience. We had almost 3 hour drive to get there and plan on going again next Saturday! I know its only people in costumes but I still managed to get startled and screamed quite a bit! If u dont mind standing in line (to me is part of the experience) or dont mind loud music then this is the haunt for you!
This is by far one of thee best haunted houses in the Midwest. It is not for the easily scared and faint of heart... at all!!They pride themselves on a full sensory experience, and they deliver! Theyve recently added Bad Trip, which is a 3-D maze based off of a circus. Clowns and props are all around you in the rafters. Sometimes you cant tell the difference between real or prop. Demented clowns will pop out of anywhere and everywhere. But the props and animatronics are amazing and the paint job is spectacular! with the 3D glasses on things really pop!Now as far as their main attraction, you can pay a little extra to go VIP and not wait in the line, but most nights, the line can be pretty fun! They normally have either a DJ set up on the stage towards the front of the line, or a really old horribly bad yet awesome horror movie playing on the big screen on the side of the barn. There will normally be a character roaming the line as well picking out any unsuspecting victims. The people will touch you inside, but they wont hurt you. Just try to get a startle out of you. Things will pop out if random walls and corners and you can never be sure where something may or may not be. They also have scenes set up that adds to the gore and the scare and the craziness. This place is WELL worth every penny you will spend. Its a great deal!Warning for whatever reason they shut down for over a half hour about midnight every night. So be prepared to wait if youre outside. They always say its a technical difficulty, but happens every.single.time.i.go. and always around midnight.
Ho.....ly......Sh@#!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! This was my very first time coming to Haunted Hoochie and Im instantly hooked!!!! This will be a Regular visit/trip for me for years to come, as long as it keeps coming back each year. I live in Winfield, WV and I will happily make the 2 n half hour drive to come back again and again and again!!! The amount of effort put into this just blows mind. From the actors/actresses to the Props/Encounters, I was floored......while screaming with frightful joy lmao Omg, I cant wait to go back. The VIP is worth the price to fast track to the front part of the line, but honestly, after what I just experienced, I would wait in the long line too and just enjoy the whole experience of the sights, sounds and overall atmosphere that Haunted Hoochie is. I cant wait to come back! Thank you to each and every one of the Haunted Hoochie actors, actresses and staff for an awesome experience; looking forward to seeing you all next year!!!!! #HauntedHoochieHooked 💯
My friends and I went here in October 2015. This is an *ADULT* haunt, complete with pole dancers and foul language, and provides a refreshing change from the tamer attractions. The haunt is ideally located on a remote farm. As anyone who goes to haunted houses knows, the line is 33% of the fun. For some reason, theyd picked some boring and pretentious anti-war/Vietnam montage for the screen, interspersed with music videos. That was my only gripe and I was told that previous years had retro B-movies showing and cool actors. The first house is simply amazing. Without spoiling anything, I will say the visuals and effects are way above average, especially a leering figure that looked down from the night sky with glowing eyes! The secondary house, which is a 3D clown town on acid is less impressive and seems to still be in the beta stage, but is a nice bonus ride. We probably went 30 to 40 minutes (I didnt time it) and I look forward to returning in 2016! BOTTOM LINE: An R-rated adult horror house which has plenty of Halloween eye candy, and which will hopefully ditch the political protesting and focus on good old Ohio backwoods horror this year. -- DCS
Really care about their job me and my wifes not scared but we bring people with us who is afraid and its funny as heck watching them get terrified and scream and try to run. Last year another costumer knocked off my glasses by accident and as soon as I said it like 5 security people showed up stopped the walk where we were and helped find them they had ended up broken someone stepped on them but that was not the workers fault. They definitely are worth the 20 to 25 dollars. Will go back every year as a new tradition with my wife and our best friend.
Ive wanted to try this haunted house for years, so we finally decided to give it a go. 2 hour drive. 4 hour wait, and they shove you thru it with huge groups. The actors are Young kids who are drunk and stoned, all you can smell in the house is weed and liquor. 25$ per person. Wont be back. Im a religious haunted houser. This thing is down right horrible. Plus you have to pay to park.
The wait was horrible. Muddy, wet cold. Buy tickets online then get in line first. Waited in line for 2.5 hours. We were the first ones there... Actual event pretty cool. It wasnt scary per say but very entertaining and I laughed really hard at others getting scared. Had a great time and made the best of it.
It was so fun and the lines were long but even waiting in the line was fun ! and it’s fun going through and when they touch you it makes it better and scarier. some people are complaining about covid but if your worried about getting it then don’t go🤣. but yeah i want to go back !
It was great once you got into the haunted hoochie but we waited in line for 2 hours to be let in after buying vip tickets at a higher cost. They say it opens at 7 but they should say you can buy tickets at 7 and doors open at 9 pm. Other than that is was a fun time.
The Haunted Hoochie is the best haunt ever! I have been going there every year since I was 15. If you dont want to wait in the line you can upgrade to the VIP ticket. But it is actually fun to wait in line! I enjoy it. I went to the hoochie last night and it was awesome! I screamed a lot. I always love the effects and the actors. The 3D trip is also pretty cool. You do not get rushed through the haunt. The actors will stop you to make sure you see the scenes. There is always new things added each year and every year just gets better and better. I dont even go to any other haunts because they dont even compare to the hoochie!
So we went a couple weekends ago and it was a great time! We drive 2.5 hours and got a room down the road from it so we can try to be the first in line and not have to drive far to get back to the room. We got there around 5:50! And we were actually second in line. Once 6pm hits its like a time people start coming and waiting in line. Either way it goes you can either wait in line early be first to go threw or if you come later wait in line for few hours and be able to watch their entertainment at night . You can tell they have ALOT of their money they make into this haunted attraction and its awesome. The workers are great got to joke and talk to them when we got are tickets and Waited in line. I wasnt rushed threw the haunt or anything they actually Stop you so you can see the scenes and plays thats going on threw the haunt. Its a fun time all around. The 3D clown one can get a little better its nice inside but actors need be a little more scary . I brought my friend whos almost 7ft tall an 300 pounds and when they seen him they asked if he wanted a job lol happen to every haunt we went to this year. But overall this is a good place to check out ! Dont cry abou the line bc they tell you and reviews tell you its going to be a wait.
The Haunted Hoochie is a blast. My only complaint is the strippers, of course some people love that but thats not what I went there for so its frustrating to have thrown in my face. However they do warn you that theres plenty of offensive things there so I shrugged and got over it. The actors are great, theres lots of different themes, and its truly immersive and scary. Really fun time.
This is about as legit as a haunted house is gonna get. Why are they open year after year? Thats right...because theyre too legit to quit. Break it down. So, they have huge mechanical demons. They have areas that are themed. They have vehicles that will almost squish you. They have tight asses in little outfits. Its not called Haunted Hoochie because theyre distilling moonshine...well, if they are, thats not the only reason. We drove 4.5 hours, and it was worth it. But...if youre over 30, get the vip tickets. That line is brutal long. Thanks for having a great event.
I took six junior high girls and they didnt get scared one time inside. They did however in line and enjoyed the fire guy. They are too young to appreciate the effects and illusions. The hoochie is pretty badass and it shows the money that is put in that place. It was our first time there and we will come again. The only negative I think would be we ran into a group and a group ran into us and that limited the scariness I think.
Everything you need to know right here:One of the best haunted houses for sure, top 10 in the county. Tons of actors who all look awesome. Top notch animatronics 👌. Something changes every year so definately go back. It is considered an EXTREME haunt so the actors will touch you and grab you and may pull you away from your group so be warned. One of the hottest haunts in Ohio so prepare for about a 3 hours line if you dont shell out for the VIP pass. And its a small rode leading up to the property so expect a wait there as well. Bring coats and scarves if its a chilly night cuz youll be there a while also it can get pretty muddy. There are porta potties but they are gross(at least for guys) and dark. Bring cash! $3 parking, overpriced food stand, Haunted Hoochie merch(All kinds of stuff), $25 general admittion or skip the line for $45 VIP ticket. Both tickets get you into 2 attractions, theres the Main house which is a good 15-20 minutes which has all the big stuff and then theres bad trip 3D (about 10 minutes) which is right after, its all clowns, florescent paint, and creepy props and anamatronics. Very cool!VIP line is about a 20 minute line vs like 45 to the GA line to the ticket barn. But the ticket barn has props too and if you want to wait and see that stuff or get merch you can also get the VIP tickets in there. I believe you can also buy tickets on the website for max speed. If you do go the cheap route and wait it out theres plenty of entertainment. Go go dancer cage, huge tv with music videos playing, fire breathing demon prop, glowstick salesman, and a main stage where they do piercing suspension and staff makeup. Occasionally actors terrorize the line. But try to keep an eye out for people cutting in line cuz that happens a lot and theres not usually any security in the line area. Super easy cuz its just low hanging rope tied to poles keeping everyone divided, which could be laid out better in some places. It is what it is.Check out the actual website if you want a laugh, they explain all the rules savagely. Basically just no kids, no refunds, and no punching the actors. Also I recommend coming late, like 12-2 am, thatll get you shorter GA lines since the VIP price is kinda outrageous. And dont worry theyre open as long as theres a line which is usually til at least 3 am cuz its only open weekends.
The Haunted Attraction itself is top notch and if it werent for the 3 hour plus wait Id say its worth it, but it really is up to you if you want to wait that long. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way were the prices. 3 bucks to park and 20 dollars to get in. I get to pay you twice so that I can wait 3 hours in line while enjoying a bunch of smoke from people getting blown in my face. Your feet will hurt and youll be wanting to just get into the attraction not to enjoy it, but to leave. No refunds on the tickets either, once you pay you either go in or lose out on $23. DONT THINK IF YOU GET THERE EARLY IT WILL BE ANY DIFFERENT. We got there at 8:00 and didnt leave till well after midnight. And one last thing, they used to play movies to try to help pass the time on a big projection screen, instead you now get to view what would appear to be some edgy 13 year olds computer filled with anti censorship, pro marijuana, and anti establishment images. They play a slide show with the AWESOME MAAAAN HARDCORE pictures complimented by 9/11 conspiracy videos. 3 HOURS
I would for sure get VIP if you go!! Its not worth the 3 hour stand still but would be worth it if you go right in thru the VIP section! During the stand still we had a bunch of people sitting down because our back and feet hurt. Cant really see the stage unless you are right by it. The actual haunt was all in all good. Rated 2 stars because of the miserable wait.
Drove two hours to stand in line for 4 hours. I wouldnt complain had we gotten to actually go in. we were finally very close to the front when they had technical difficulties. Stood in line for an additional 45 minutes with no movement before asking when the show would be back up and running. No answers were given. There were only two staff walking around scaring people in line. Over all terrible experience & will never go back. Btw no refunds even if you didnt get a single show and it was their fault. Was more than willing to wait in line, but not for their mistakes. Not even worth a single star.
To be honest its was fun but the strobe lights were a little bit overused and the music was so loud that after I was through and done my ears felt as if they were bleeding. Personally I would go back but the music and lights are just a minor, overall I would suggest this to anyone unless you dont like to be touched or have people scream in your ears..
Ok, I never write reviews but my goodness i have to for this place!!I have no idea how to even begin.... i guess from the beginning. Coming from the southern Cleveland area, the drive was a mere 2.5ish hours down 71s. Off the exit, the house was about 8 or so minutes down Broad street right outside of town. In simple words, very easy to get to/find. Parking was a $3 fee, which I wasnt expecting to pay for parking, but thats no big deal. Parking is in a large field with lots of organization. Ticket line wasnt a bad wait and the ticket barn was decorated with the Hoochie theme. Tickets are $25 for a regular ticket and $45 for a VIP fast pass which is basically a jump start to the front of the line. You can also purchase shirts, hoodies, tanks, tees, undies, bumper stickers, etc at the ticket booth. Average price is about $15 for a classic Tee. They take cash and credit card. I believe doors open at 6, we got there about 8ish. It was 8:50 when we got in line; it was about 10:20 when we were looking at the doors to the house next to go in. So wear comfortable shoes unless your planning on purchasing a VIP pass. The line was pretty steady moving, however, there was just a TON of people there. Line entertainment was good. there was a large screen playing music videos, dancers in a cage, and skin-hangers live on the stage, along with Hoochie actors coming thru the line for a little startle. Concession was available but no food or drink allowed in house(s). Port-a-Pots were a plenty.Ok- so the part you are waiting for! if I were to give any negative comment about the house it will be this-- Groups that they took into the house at a time was about 15-20 people which is really, a lot of people. You will become good friends with the people behind you and the people in front of you from all the bumping into you will do. I didnt mind this, but I could see how to some people this could be annoying. Also, the actors WILL TOUCH YOU. I gave you warning here lol. Dont say you werent warned. DO NOT bring small children, the easily impressionable, the squeamish, the elderly, or have health issues to flashing lights and sounds. Actors will call you names and use naughty language that could be offensive. There is also SIMULATED GUNFIRE (without giving too much away) so keep that in mind when considering going to this house. If this is right up your ally- then quit reading this and get in your car!Inside the house, again without giving up any spoilers, was about a 20-30 minute or so walk-thru in the main house (Dead Acres) and about 10 minutes in the 3D house (Bad Tripp) but Ill get into that one later. The house was set up into different sets where its almost like mini shows. I will recommend to LOOK AROUND when you are walking thru. The sets are beautifully done (if I could say that about a Haunted House setting), with LOTS of things to look at. Walls are textured, there are things coming at you from all sides, music playing, lights flashing. Most def. a good time!Right after Dead Acres you will be directed to the next house, Bad Tripp. They will give you 3D glasses. This house is more of the animatronics and more Clown themed, but dont let that disappoint you, it had its share of jump scares and actors to keep the blood pumping. That about sums it up. I highly recommend, 10 out of 10 would go again.
Absolutely nothing. Last night we waited in line for 2 hours. We were told it opened at 8:30pm. It poured raining to where we were drenched. At this point it was 9:00 and the line hadnt moved. The monsters they had walking around were cussing at the customers, using horrible language and taking peoples hoods off their heads in the rain. Not funny or cool. Why couldnt you have opened on time or a little earlier due to the inclement weather? People had already paid their money at this point, isnt the goal to get them inside through the haunt? We left and masses of others left as well. Who has fun with wet clothes through to their underwear!? Ive been there before and thought Id bring out of town guests to experience what we thought would be a fun time. There were 10 of us last night. We were able to sell our tickets to those few kids who didnt mind the cold rain. But the experience and business side of the night was horrible. If youre just in it for the money, we get it. Know that Im going to let anyone and everyone I come in contact with know about how this group treats its paying customers during inclement weather. No justification for it.
Go every year now for the past couple years. I love going when the flesh are there its super interesting watching them. But be prepared to stand in line for awhile because for one there are a ton of people who come up from all over ohio kentucky and indiana just to be there. Inside is amazing and Yes they do touch! So if you dont want to be touched dont go. They try and keep the line moving as quickly as possible and every scene inside the house is done perfectly! I loved that they added the plane this past year! It was awesome. The actors are amazing and I have to give them props because they stand in the cold weather with little clothing and still do what they do at 100%. See you guys this upcoming season!!!!!!!
The parking staff demand you park unreasonably close to other vehicles .. there pretty rude about it . when my car got door dinged by the girl in the next car I dient even say anything because I was bullied into parking there.. my over all experiences was pretty good , besides parking being a joke . Come on parking staff get your stuff together.
The haunted hoochie is one of my favorite places to visit in October. They put so much effort into their makeup, effects, props, and material. The long wait in line only adds to the adrenaline of the experience (bring a flask if you are an impatient a-hole). Cant wait to go this year!
The only thing scary about this place is the total lack of class. The blatant political garbage people waiting in line are forced to endure is only relieved by the boring haunt. I watched a male actor basically assault a teenage girl in line and she was clearly upset at being groped. When someone told him to stop, him and another employee started threatening people around her. It was bizarre and having employees hid in masks as an excuse for assaulting underage girls is disgusting. Dont go near this place.
There was a long long wait in line but the monsters/music and dancers kept you entertained outside. The walk through was amazing, good people awesome costumes.. The 3d clown walked through was ok wasno impressed. Worth going through once or twice but the wait was long... the outside hoochie dancer was exotic for my man lol.
My boyfriend and I were on a budget last year but heard that Haunted Hoochie would be worth it. We waited maybe 3 hours when the line just all-together stopped. The only answer we got was from some guy in a clown mask walking around saying technical difficulties. There was so much 4th wall breaking at this place. Not to mention, it was pouring down rain for all of this to have happened. We physically couldnt handle it anymore and we had to leave 3 hours in. My boyfriend got sick from the rain. We heard from someone else who was there that day that it took at least another hour or so for the line to start moving again after we left. And on top of that we werent able to get a refund. I dont care what happens inside Haunted Hoochie, that kind of ordeal is absolutely not worth it.
Closed early no notice i mean its customer service u know when ur gonna or think ur gonna close early coulda put somethin up on the fb page or online. Took my sister up for her surprise birthday bash drove 3 hrs from dayton to be turned down no sorry nothin i even offered to pay vip price for my lil group of 4 to be able to have a good birthday for my lil sisters birthday an still nothin and again not even a sorry.
I dont startle. I spend my yearly haunted house trips laughing at the idiots who do; and pissing off the actors when I dead face say hi before they can act. With this tid bit of info about myself, a 4 star rating is a high mark from me. Ive been to haunted houses all over Ohio. Drove 2 hrs just for this one. The animatronics were bad ass. The hands on acting wasnt too much. Suttle and gentle gestures like tugging your pant leg or petting your head. If you startle though, an unexpected grab of your pant leg from the dark corner of hell will certaintly make you jump. Actors even hang from the raptors to lay an unexpected hand on your head. I wasnt much impressed with the Hoochie portion. Im not a prude. I appreciate a good show. The dancers just struck me too much as I just like being a hoe. Idk maybe Im use to a different style of dancer. You know, ones old enough to buy booze. A can of pop was $2. A Monster was $3. If you like Monster, concession prices are great. If you want a can of pop, buy a 12 pack for another $1 and bring it with you. Also, either buy a speed pass or arrive 2 hrs early and stand forever. It is worth the wait; but wait you shall. Over all it is the best haunted house Ive ever been too. 20 yrs of haunted house trips and it is by far the best.
My wife and 16 daughter got physically assaulted to the point another staff member had to step in and stop the employee. The cops had to be notified and they would not refund . They did not even get to finish the tour. plus I paid for VIP ticets. Unacceptable. ur going on ABC 6 for this one buddy.
We had a great time, arrived at 7:40ish (starts at 8:30) so waited about an hour in the VIP line to get in, but were among the first in. The VIP pass IS worth every penny. You avoid all the bullshit as the owner put it of the normal line (looked to be about a 3 hour wait. First in, first out and experienced the 3D BadTrip afterwards which was literally a time consuming work of art. Not sure if that comes standard with general admission or not. I didnt let anyone rush me through THAT! The horror aspects were actually amazingly thought out and not your local hay ride people. Im not a scare easily person but I must have been easy prey in there :DIm not sure what the reviews pertaining to the business aspect side of things being less than stellar are; its NOT a restaurant, no one is there to serve you. If you dont like the idea of waiting in line to buy tickets then buy them online like we did, print em out and go straight to the VIP line. What OTHER customer service crap were you really expecting from THIS? PEOPLE. ..pfft. Always wanting MORE. I got my dollhair worth by almost sharting my pants and enjoying the great artwork afterwards, not looking to being handheld by a guide all the way through. What frightening fun would THAT have been, the confusion is part of the utter terror. Acting was top notch, props were top notch, EVERYTHING GRADE A MEAAAAATTTTT.

2021-10-15Good show, long line tickets available with cash or card. T-shirts and concession available. A little politically centered and not sure why exactly, but we just kept on lol. People were very courteous, party behind us had a little boy that cried and the people were quick to tell him he was doing a great job and just to keep pushing through. I really liked that. Do not lose your tickets, you need them for both houses. Portopottys available if needed.

2021-11-21Easily the best haunted house in ohio. lots of different sections and themes. Bit do yourself a favor and pay for the fast lane option, otherwise you can be slushing through mud for the better part of 3 hours.

2020-10-31Well we paid an extra $20 a ticket to jump to the front of the line that was well worth it the line was ridiculously long.. It was fun like any other haunted house nothing that made it stand out... paying regular ticket price 30 bucks thats worth going to see but I would not travel hours to go.. If your local take the trip its worth 30 Dollars make sure you have friends and family to hang out with while youre waiting in line And it will be a fun night to have..

2019-11-01Once I got finished waiting in line, I loved every moment of it. Ive been going to haunted attractions for over 30 years, and I will base road trips around them. That being said, the Haunted Hoochie was completely original and unlike any Ive been to. Im going back Saturday for Snowflake Saturday.

2019-12-22Great haunted attraction, worth every penny if you get the Fast Pass; not sure if Id wait in the 4-6hr line with a GA ticket. This is hands down my favorite Halloween attraction.
