Reuben was delicious. Staff is very friendly and professional. Food was the right temperature. Variety of unique menu items, craft beers, and drinks. Had the expresso chocolate cake with cream cheese icing for dessert. Fantastic with coffee. Portion size is reasonable and we still took some home. Its becoming a regular place for us
The food was good the first time I went back a couple days later to make sure it was for real. I think every burger needs brie cheese so creamy no condiments needed. Service first time was busy, was a Friday not. Second time it was great doing happy hour on a Thursday.
The Farmers Salad with pulled chicken that I ate at Harvest Moon Craft Kitchen was probably one of the BEST tasting salads I’ve ever had in my life! The way that the roasted Brussels sprouts, kale, beets, butternut squash, avocado, toasted almonds, hard boiled egg, turkey bacon, onions, feta cheese, and house vinaigrette all blended together created such a flavorful explosion of taste in my mouth. Since I live in IL, I will definitely be trying to figure out how to recreate this amazing salad in my kitchen at home!
Yesterday was my first visit. The food was good, but very small portions and definitely overpriced. I ordered one of their salads with blacked salmon. The fish was good and a decent size, but very few greens and the bowl was tiny. Also ordered one alcoholic drink that had zero flavor, very disappointed. Bill was over $30 plus tip and it was only worth half that. Cant recommend and wont be going back.
This place is fabulous! Taylor is one of the BEST servers!! Had a beer flight - liked all of them! The food was delicious- had brussel sprouts that were mouthwatering! Lemon cake & Peanut butter choclate cake was delicious! Ambieance is great! Ample parking! They have a great menu!! Very fresh foods!!👍
First visit. Ordered the spring rolls which were great. After a 30 minute wait , 2 burgers arrived stone cold with fries that looked like they had been soaked in grease. We were told there was no mgr and that the guys in the kitchen were not paying attention. A real disappointment
Drinks were pretty good, service was great. I got the fish and chips, she got the pad thai. Both were decent, if a little bland. Pad thai sauce was more like a balsamic salad dressing. Fish and chips was a very thick slab of fish over limp fries.Overall, good enough to eat, not bad enough to complain about. Probably wouldnt do it again.
Food was delicious, had a mix up with feta on a vegan burger and our server Delaney was the sweetest and most considerate server that I’ve had in a while! Made the whole experience much better and brighter! Thanks to Harvest Moon and thanks to Delaney for being so kind and understanding. The food was great but I would come back just to be serviced by her again, amazing waitress!!
The food was amazing! Our server was nice, but the first drink I ordered was out of stock. (Wasnt told until after food arrived, which we had been seated for 30 minutes by then). Ordered second drink and finally cancelled it when I was done eating. It seemed the staff needed some guidance on how to place orders, deliver drinks and stay organized. It was like they were all over the place and it wasnt even busy. Again, our server was nice and the food was terrific!
My husband and I dined there for the first time. It had a cute, cozy atmosphere. Our food was amazing, we got the Turkey brie & pear and the chicken sandwich, both soo good and so fresh. My husband also ordered a flat white coffee which was very tasty. The service was great, our waitress was attentive but not too over bearing which is always nice. Well definitely go back!
Visually appealing food as well as tasty and fresh. The popcorn shrimp on my salad was still warm. Disappointed they had run out of French onion soup, their soup of the day. The unsweet iced tea was one of the best I have ever had.The servers were wearing their masks, thank you. Though our waitress did not have her nose covered, a concern since my daughter had just left her radiation treatment. Her serving was stellar in every other aspect.Would readily return when in the area.
This place has amazing food! And their coffee is really good. We came in for breakfast and they werent busy at first, but they picked up while we were there. The owner or manager was nice and checked on us at the end of our meal. We ordered the heavenly pancakes, which were indeed heavenly, and the breakfast burrito. It was the best my husband has ever had. Very flavorful and customizable. The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is that the server was inattentive. She only came to our table to take or order and bring us food and we had to wait a while for the check. We both wanted refills on coffee and water while we were eating, but since wed tucked ourselves away in the window seat, we couldnt really flag her down without being disruptive. Wed let this slide, except we noticed her checking on all the other tables mid-meal, but not ours. So it almost felt pointed. They did start getting busy and it was just her serving. Which is why Im only knocking off 1 star. Well be back! Ill make an update on the service after our next visit.Update: Finally made it back here. Food is still excellent. Coffee is better than I remembered. And the service was fantastic!
We arrived at 6:30 PM Saturday 2/15. Food is usually good. Our server was pleasant but when asked if they have any gluten free beer she indicated she wasnt sure but didnt think so, unfortunately she did not ask anyone else. I ordered a brie and pear bison burger but was informed a few minutes later that they were out of pears. I said substituting apples would be totally fine. After checking with the chef, read cook, our server informed us that the cook couldnt do that. Kind of strange because you would think that at soon as you realized you were out of pears you would go ahead and start on some apples to give patrons the choice. I was asked to just make a new choice but the large list of items they were out of that evening reduced the menu to food items I wasnt interested in. Ultimately we decided to have dinner elsewhere. Well be back because I like Harvest Moon but for now theyre off the easy no brainier dinner list.
I dont normally review restaurants, actually I dont review much of anything, but after eating breakfast here, I was compelled to do so before even paying the bill. This was absolutely the BEST breakfast food I have EVER eaten! Service was great as well! We had the Traditional Breakfast and Biscuits & Gravy, along with some iced coffees and all were PHENOMENAL! Not to mention the jelly provided with the toast, my Lord it was made by angels! If only we didnt live 35-minutes away, Id make this our go-to weekend breakfast spot.
Our family is spread out between Powell, Dublin and Athens, OH. We frequently meet at the wonderful Harvest Moon Craft Kitchen for breakfast/brunch/lunch because it is kind of in-between. Weve always had excellent service and delicious food. We have younger children with us and the staff and restaurant are definitely kid friendly. Highly recommend it!
The best burger we had during burger week! And I think we tried 8 or more. Nice patio area. Small inside nice. The service was good and apologetic because their kitchen was an hour behind and could not cook fries because the kitchen was too small and unprepared. They explained that the owners were preparing for an expansion. I would try it again based on how nice everyone was and how good the food was. Others were not patient and left.
The food and service is impeccable. Ive been here a hand full of times now and have never left unhappy. The price is a tad more on the expensive side but you are really treating yourself when choosing to dine at Harvest Moon Craft Kitchen. The food is organic and the craft beer selection is one of the finest! You most definitely get what you pay for. The burgers are to die for 🐮 Taking my daughter here tonight for our date before our big daddy-daughter dance!
This is a really nice facility, in theory, but in practice there are large areas of opportunity. In the 4 or 5 times Ive been there is always a disappointment.Ill give credit where credit is due: the food is excellent. But, they are always out of something. The last time we were there (mid-March) they were out of fries. Prior to that visit they were out or chicken. Previously, they were out of cucumbers. When you couple not being able to serve your full menu at any given time, along with an extended wait for food or drink there has to be a level of concern.Like I said, the food you get is excellent and its unique. But, Im satisfied by service as much as I am by food quality and Harvest Moon consistently disappoints in that arena.Id rather cross the street to Village Wines and have a better overall experience.
After being completely ignored for a half-hour at another area restaurant (BrewDog), we bailed and went down the road to Harvest Moon, and it turned out to be the best choice we could have made. We were immediately greeted as we entered, the waitress was super-friendly and went out of her way to check on the allergy information for what we ordered. The beer selection was great, the food was all amazing, and the service was absolutely perfect. Next time Im passing through town, we wont waste our time elsewhere, and well just come right to Harvest Moon Craft Kitchen.
A wide variety of food, and a surprisingly large menu for a pretty small restaurant. This restaurant is renowned for its unigue sandwich combos and its Bison burgers. But, it has two pages of entrees too. If you like vegan, gluten free, or high protein, there is something for you here. The food prices are very reasonable, and the wait staff is attentive. A good, trendy, and memorable place to eat featuring delicious food. Whats not to like?
The food was overpriced. The service was okay. Adam was our waiter oh, I asked for the glass of water with no ice. He came back through to get the orders but didnt bring the water but then he remembered. The chicken panini was just okay. The turkey Chipotle sandwich was better. The chips that comes with the meal were awful. Sort of forces you to pay the extra $1.50 to get fries or a different side item instead. Dont think Ill go back even with a local flavor coupon. If we had paid full price for my meal, I would have been disappointed, but with the local flavor offering it was okay to try.
Great place to eat. Our waitress was attentive. We where there about 1pm on a Thursday. No problem getting a table for 5. Coffee was fantastic. The bison burger with Brie and carmelized pear makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Thick and juicy. This is my new go to place!
I really wanted to like this place... I tried...Im going to give them a break, because it was 614 Burger Week, and they seemed kind of busy, but they were out of the CBD they advertise, they were apparently out of the bun they usually serve their burger on, so we got super-hard pretzel buns (without notice from the bartender), we ordered two burgers--one medium and one rare, and they both came out medium, and the bone broth kind of tasted like vegetable oil...All of that being said, Andi the bartender was awesome, and the meat and toppings on the burger almost made up for the horrible pretzel bun. We might give this place another try, but based on our one experience, expect average.
This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. Staff is friendly and courteous and the quality and taste of the food is outstanding. Would definitely recommend the brussel sprouts. My only critique is that food can take a bit longer than usual to come out. Great atmosphere!
Used to be one of my favorite places to grab a cocktail and meal. The staff WAS wonderful, and food was great. Now the service is sub par, and ran by children that make passive aggressive comments as they’re walking away from you. Not to mention a male server whom I’ve heard stating his political leanings that were worrisome and anxiety inducing, which I find extremely unprofessional. As convenient as this place is for me, I have to say the only thing that’s remained is the good food (hence the 3 stars). If I ever come back, it will be to get my food to go.
First time visiting this restaurant since we moved to Canal! I love that its within walking distance to our house and all the other cute shops downtown. We had the wagyu burgers and they were hands-down the juiciest burger weve ever had! I will return for some gluten-free goodies!
I will start with what was good. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer was really good. My maple bacon burger was very good. However, the simple salad was indeed simple and not in a good way. The wait time to get drinks was long and then my husband got the wrong drink and was questioned if he was sure it was the wrong one. The jalapeño poppers my husband said had no flavor and lacked spice. The drunken chicken was over priced and my husband said mediocre though the carrots that came with it were good. Our check was completely wrong and had to be corrected. Waiter did not check in with us over the course of the meal very often. We got dessert to go. The strawberry lemon cake was very good but the salted caramel was not.
The place is quaint employees friendly. I had the bison burger with burbon sauce at almost 16.00 dollars I expected more .I was craving a juicie craft burger. I was disappointed the burger was the size of a McDonalds cheese burger dry and crusty and the pretzel bun was way to big for such a small dry piece of meat, it was my first visit there and my last.
I rarely write reviews but...Visited for the first time last weekend. Unfortunately, that may be my last time. The food was good, but the service kind of terrible. Our waitress took forever to return and/or refill our coffee; we had to flag her down. When we brought it to her attention that we were trying to catch her attention, she said we werent looking for her and that she didnt want to interrupt our conversation.Another server helped bring the food to our table and, maybe out of habit, she asked do you need anything else?. So, assuming she thought she brought all the proper food to our table we replied with oh were missing this & this...& this. Her response was well, I cant carry it all. I only have two hands. Okay, attitude!I ordered the breakfast burrito and ONE pancake. My pancake came roughly 30 minutes after my burrito arrived. Mind you, the rest of my table order 2 or 3 pancakes each and received them with very little delay.Overall, it was pretty disappointing considering the friend that introduced me to the restaurant had rave reviews. Even she was taken aback by the bad service. ...and the cleanliness of the bathroom was a little concerning. I noticed a creeper crawler on the floor below the sink but by this point, it was the least of my worries.
This place is one of my familys favorite places to eat in the Canal Winchester area. The service, food, and atmosphere are all great! There is often live music and a wide variety of local beers to try. They also have the BEST desserts. Even though its a little on the pricey side, this place is definitely worth trying!
Staff is inconsistently friendly (ie some shouldnt be here) and lack urgency. Ive tried coming in for a quick cup of coffee, and with no wait, that really isnt possible. The kitchen is also REALLY, really slow. It took over 10 minutes for veggies and hummus and over 20 minutes for our dinner. Weve been here on several occasions and the above has consistently been our experience. Nevertheless, the food is good and fairly priced so we will return when time is not important. The owner is really nice! If they could nail down the aforementioned concerns... It would be a 4 star review.
Super bummed. We’ve wanted to try this place for awhile and it was a big let down after reading all the positive reviews. They weren’t real busy and we still waited 50 mins for our food. There was 6 of us and none of the food came out together. One person was almost done by the time my food came out. I ordered a bison burger and they forgot to put cheese on it, no big deal easy fix. When I finally got to eat it the burger was way over cooked and somehow cold. I took 2 bites and waited for our waitress to return. When I asked if it could just be taken off our check she got kinda rude. No apology or no other food was offered.I’m sure the food is good but their customer service is just horrible.
Literally the best food in town! This is my favorite local restaurant. My family and I highly recommend Harvest Moon to anyone who will listen. Tonight I had the Harvest Brewben, it was amazing! The beer braised beef was so tender and flavorful. My husband had the Elk Meatloaf and it was out of this world! You really cant go wrong with anything you choose!
Great burgers; something special compared to the typical burger joints in the area. The staff was willing to make something off the menu for my wife, and Im really appreciative of that. The non-burger items arent as good as the burgers which is why I hold off the last star.
Awesome. In a nut shell this is the type of business that helps small downtowns thrive and attract other businesses. Canal is fortunate to have a restaurant with the quality of food Harvest has to offer. Ive sampled many items on the menu and everything has been superb. Also the beer selection while not the largest is certainly strong in its unique quality of different craft styles and offerings.
Decided to go back and try Harvest moon again. Our last visit several months ago was disappointing, but we were pleasantly surprised this visit. Great service, very good food, daily specials and more menu choices. The brewben sandwich was excellent and the BBQ chicken salad was great. Keep up the great work!!
Cute little place hidden away in Canal Winchester. We went here for our first time in January. I had the Caramelized Pear and Brie Bison Burger along with the sweet potato hash and it was fantastic! My husband had the House Bison and a Deadman Throttle brew from Loose Rail. We topped it off with a huge chocolate whoopee pie... We did not leave disappointed.
Great food and good atmosphere. I love the lemon ricotta pancakes and the breakfast burrito in the am. There coffee is also great! For dinner I like their flat breads, the bison burger, an the bison fillet is out of this world. This place is well worth the drive from Columbus. I recommend giving yourself a little extra time for some shopping at all the local boutiques.
We had a very mixed experience. I was looking for a great cup of coffee with my meal, but incredibly, they dont offer brewed coffee after 4 pm! From a coffee shop?! (I could have ordered a latte or cappuccino, etc. but I just wanted a good cup of coffee) Next, both our meals included a salad side, but unknown to us, one has the salad delivered first, and the other is included with the main dish. So, I got to wait and watch my wife eat her salad while I wondered where mine was - while drinking water instead of coffee. Oh, and only two types of dressing to choose from. The main course was really delicious, as everyone says. Very unique choices.Overall, based on the reviews, I was expecting more.
My husband and I go to the Harvest Moon Cafe on a regular and never had a bad experience. The staff is very nice and polite. The atmosphere is amazing and the food and drinks are good as well. I highly reccommend the Hibiscus Cosmo. Its my favorite. This place is very warming and can get crowded really quick. Even still they always acknowledge there customers and treat them great. I will be going there this evening with a friend of mine for her first time. Im sure she will like it.
Very poor service at last visit. Doordash orders caused us to wait for so long we had to leave without ever getting simple orders of grilled cheese and sweet potato hash. Not likely to go back anytime soon after being customers for years. Vegetarian menu has been reduced as well.Sorry, but we were at your restaurant for 40-45 minutes and if the food was plated in 20 minutes, wondering why we never got it. Many reviews reflect extended time in getting food. I hope you can remedy this problem.
My husband and I frequented this place and gave it many chances because the owner is a really nice guy and their food is great. However, when The cat is away, the mice will play. The staff is inconsistent when the owner isnt in. You can definitely tell. On a good day youll get the regular staff or the owner working. However the kitchen staff is sooooo slow! Last straw was a 20 min wait on appetizers that came out cold (shrimp and vegetable skewers) and 40 min for our entree and their excuse was the place was busy. Busy eh? I look around and there are empty tables and no one sitting in the patio area.. Ive seen busier when theres a live band and have never waited this long. We had a clear shot of the kitchen where we were sitting and the kitchen staff was busy talking amongst each other most of the time. Time management was horrible. Ineffective management. Anyhow, I recommend the breakfast here, salmon entree and any of the burgers. Stay clear of the shrimp skewers. I hope they upgraded to better quality shrimp for the price. With that said dont come super hungry and be prepared to have patience to wait just in case you get a staffer who acts as if they just did not want to be at work that day.
There is somwthing on the menu for everyone here. Great choice of burgers with a nice small town feel. The service is always excellent. There are always local beers on tap with samples available. If you are in Canal Winchester and looking for dinner and a drink Harvest Moon is the answer. If you go you must try the Old Hickory!
Im pleased with the selection of food and drinks, as well as the quality and speed of service. The restaurant itself puts off a good vibe. The only thing I had a real problem with were the staff. A week ago, I brought a date in for dinner and couldnt help but sense the waitresses making snide remarks while we were just trying to enjoy ourselves, which caused us to leave earlier than planned.
Edit (new visit) I ordered coffee 45 minutes ago. Waitress just came by to apologise for the wait and that the reason is she is brewing it. 45 minutes?? Not worth it. I got up to cancel my order, and they argue that our food is ready and can they box it up. So fine, I pay the $55 and they get it ready. I step out with it to find that they shorted me a pancake breakfast ($10.04 with bacon). I addition, they charged me the $3 for the coffee we never got (also charged the full $3.25 each for the 3 coffees we did get that never got refilled). So I went back in and said we didnt get the pancake breakfast or the 4th coffee. The manager then cancels the old order and re-rings it supposedly taking off what we didnt get. I was so mad at this point that I signed the receipt and left, pointedly leaving the card they gave for money off of a future visit. I get home and realized they took off the $$ for the SIDE pancake my wife had ordered with her breakfast instead of the meal. So I got a single pancake with no bacon to go for $10.Avoid this place if you have less than 3 hours to take for breakfast or if you dont like being robbed.***************************The food is really good. The wait is very long. It was an hour from the time we were seated to when we got our food. The wait for the table was 30 minutes before that. While I like the food, not sure it was worth that long of a wait. Probably better outside of the evening rush.
The store was quaint. The salad was okay but looked like it could go bad in the next day or two. The chicken meal I had was great and so was the Oreo cookie moon pie. The food however made my family, friends and I have to go to the bathroom badly. All of us thought is was a ploy for our colon to empty out or our stomache was possessed. I couldnt grasp why it tasted so good but gave us all a bad reaction.
Pregnant and having cravings of harvest moons delicious food. My boyfriend usually will pick stuff up to go. I noticed recently the staff have been incredibly snobby and rude. I maybe eat their food three times a week, is it too much to ask that you just be kind? Paid for a ginger ale today (they make their own highly recommend) he had to remind the gentleman behind the counter who was beyond put out to get it and gave it to him in a coffee cup. The food is delicious as many other reviews have noted service is just bad. Eventually it won’t matter how good the food is if you can’t treat people with decency and respect who would want to come here?
The breakfast burrito was good which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars however the service was horrible. The waitress never came to the table- we had to get up to get coffee refills, cream refills, get the check, pay the check, and ask where our food was (after about 45 mins). Sadly, when our food did come out one order was incorrect and it was not hot, so it clearly sat there while she chatted with another customer. It was not busy at all, there were 2 tables inside and 2 outside while there were 2-3 waitresses. Bummer.
Diamond in a lovely small town. Owner/Chef knows the way around the kitchen and only uses the best quality foods from many local sources. Dont be late for the soup. Lovely desserts. Cant say enough so will only savor delicious memories back home in Cincinnati for great meals in Canal Winchester.
I loved this place fo a long time. Everytime my family came into town Id take them here. But recently I have had a lot of issues. Horrible service for one. And I have literally been trying to get the same sandwich from them 4 different times now!!! And still havent gotten it. Im thinking they dont even make that sandwich and just lie about it. Two of the times they told me they didnt have turkey! The main meat of this sandwich! Went here for years, but with bad service and lack of supply mixed with frustration I dont think Ill be back, or bring my family here anymore.
Good drinks and food, not so good (or even polite) service.A small group of us went to the cafe to get drinks and read for a while, but when lunch hour approached a waitress approached us hinting that we should order food in addition to our drinks. We offered to switch to a smaller table that had opened up so that they could use ours for lunch guests, but then the manager flat out told us that we should buy food or just leave, so we left.
Wanted to love this place. Tried it 3 different times. Service staff was rude and indifferent (typical hipster attitude) not to mention slow on all occasions. Twice we went for breakfast and wanted the breakfast hash but they were out of it both times. Disappointing when there are only about 6 breakfast items on the menu to begin with. The food we did have was really good, but unfortunately the service is awful. Three strikes... we wont be back.
Stopped here for dinner during a cross-country drive and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and quality of the food and beverages served. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I got lucky enough to see some live music while I was there. The prices were a bit higher than I was looking for, but worth every penny for the sheer craftsmanship that goes into every dish. I hope I can pass through this area again so I can come back and visit.
We ordered the queso and coconut shrimp appetizers which were the highlight of the meal. The entrees took at least 45 minutes to arrive. The fries and mashed potatoes were cold. The chicken was over done. The salads were ok. The server was inattentive and absent minded.
It was good, nice atmosphere, good service, but pricey. I got an egg white omelette with spinach, tomato, onion, feta & 1 slice of toast, with coffee (good coffee btw)...bill with tax was over $16 ....with tip = 1 breakfast for $20 ...a bit much but it is def something i will treat myself to occassionally
Awesome! We stopped on the way back to Michigan from North Carolina. What a surprise. Totally worth skipping the Micky Ds and spending the extra time for wonderful food. Everything was delicious. So we stopped on our way back and got food here again. The second time, even though they were out of the hummus for the wrap, they came up with a fantastic alternative. Being from Michigan, I told the waitress, Harvest Moon cafe has improved my opinion of the whole state of Ohio.
Great food, terrible service. Took my mom there today for lunch (1:00) and waited 15 min for them to take our order and another 30 to come out...it wasnt even busy. How can you have 5 people behind the bar, 3 in the kitchen, and not be able to handle less than 10 tables?
SEVEN WORDS: Splendid / Hip / Healthy / Casually Cool Canal Winchester..I was bowled over by this place. The interior felt like a downtown hipster joint, but since its in Canal, the crowd is older, more refined yet very laid back..The menu has the same subtle complexity. You see buzzword foods like Kale, Aioli wraps, and greens-heavy salads with light vinaigrette, but the ingredients are as well combined as youd find in a Le Cordon Bleu- inspired bistro. My Reuben was the best Ive ever had - and Ive had plenty! The Sothwestern Wrap was just as zesty, with individual care that set both dishes apart. This place also features a bar and homemade soups I promise to try on my return - and this place deserves a return.Cant wait to explore Harvest Moons menu and laid back vibe again.
Outstanding breakfast!First of all, the service was great (at the bar).Had the burrito and a pancake:The burrito is different compared to a lot of breakfast burritos in that its more-so Mediterranean/Italian, imo. This is in contrast to the usual Mexican-style breakfast burrito one would find at many places. It comes out to be really good; the garlic aioli is wonderful. The pancake is very comparable to Northstars (in the Columbus area). Its superbly soft and melts in your mouth. You can definitely taste the lemon in it and the Lavender syrup brings a unique flavour.I look forward to going back to try some of their morning cocktails and also hitting them for dinner.9/3: Just had dinner here today. JUST AS GOOD AS BREAKFAST
Small, hole-in-the-wall dining. The food was great, the service all right, and the decor reminded me of the 16-Bit Bar in Columbus minus the video games. They have a definite hipster and medicinal herb thing going on. Food/drinks were slightly pricey, but I will definitely be going back.
I went by this morning for breakfast at 10:00AM. When you enter there is a sign that says see the counter for seating. There was a line of folks so I stood in line. The people in front of me ordered drinks so when it got to me, I said I wanted seating outside. The employee said go sit wherever. I wasnt given silverware, a menu, or anything. I chose to sat outside and I was by myself. There were probably 3 other tables occupied outside and the other folks had been waited on. I went back inside and grabbed a menu and walked back to my seat. There were two different wait staff working the patio and both said hello to me but never said anything like they would wait on me momentarily. I waited 10 mins without receiving any type of service. I walked back in and returned my menu. I will not be going back.
Just missed the mark. If youre calling an ingredient carmelized, I am expect the yummy smokeyness of carmelization . So when you serve carmelized pear and brussel sprouts salad I need the taste and color of carmelization. Flavors were just okay. Menu shows such promise, so I will be going back to try breakfast.
The coffee is always good, and prices are on par with what you typically see at coffee houses. The atmosphere is nice, with wood floors and art on the wall. Ive never had a problem with service. There is free wi-fi and lots of power outlets for those that need them. Studying here is hit-or-miss depending on how loud the other customers are, so I always bring headphones just in case.
After living in the area for a while now I just noticed this store. I went in to have a look around and was greatly surprised. They have many natural products and the staff is more than willing to take the time to explain the products to someone (me) who has no idea what they are looking at. The coffee shop is delicious, and as with the other products in the store, is better for you than most.
Really quaint, stylish, trendy foodie menu where everyone blends in. Patio seating across from the most dejected sounding town clock on what I believe is a city building you have ever heard! From the corner, whether perched inside by the window, or along the patio, you can enjoy a wonderfully lush selection of digestive treats, and people watch till your hearts desire. A jaunt in any direction will give you many options for a post meal stroll.

2022-01-19I was visiting a friend who lives in Columbus after a long time. We were wandering around and saw this place in a small town. We decided to give it a try.As soon we entered, I smelled some freshly brewed coffee. I normally don’t drink coffee at night but this strong very refreshing smell was attracting me and I couldn’t stop myself but to order a cup for me.I took a sip to feel the taste to make sure it was as a good as it smelled. But I was just so amazed that the taste was as good as o was expecting if not better. Every sip I took I felt refreshed. I literally could feel the warmth and the mild bitterness of the freshly brewed strong coffee.Next we order some food with humus and bread as a starter. Bread was cold but I guess that’s how they serve it here because every bite was so delicious that I couldn’t stop myself from keep eating that starter dish, even though inside my head I was thinking if I don’t stop myself I won’t be hungry when the actual dish which was black bean burger that I ordered for me and fish&chips for my friend but still I only stopped when I finished it.I was almost full and now it was time for my main dish. The burger arrived and it look kind of dry and not very fun. I was not very excited to see the presentation of it. My desire to eat it felt more lower and top of that I was already kind of full by eating that starter dish.I took a first bite. Hmmmmm!!! It was little soft and little grilled like taste to it. Little bit of spices and salt I tasted when I was chewing it with my close eyes and then there it was!!! The subtle taste of black beans and the aroma of a beef burger patty. That’s just open my eyes wide open. I see my friend on the other side was having the same expressions. We couldn’t believe at first that a mom-n-pops small restaurant in a small town will have such greatness with the most delicious food.I won’t stop writing about the greatness of this place and all the most welcoming staff. It will get too long but I hope you guys got the idea of what I am trying to say here is,THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE FOR MOST DELICIOUS FOOD WITH VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY POLITE STAFF.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Thanks 🙂

2022-02-12The food here is TOP TIER. I’m the kind of person that usually gets the same thing at a restaurant over and over. Not here, I want to try everything. Everything I’ve tried here on the menu is delicious. the bison Brie and pear burger is my favorite, the pulled pork mac and cheese or grilled cheese both amazing, just WOW! . The spicy chicken sandwich, so tasty! Best Moscow mule I’ve ever had! Can’t decide what I want to try next, the steak bowl or the meatloaf entree. My compliments to the kitchen staff for consistently delivering amazing meals and a great atmosphere.

2021-10-24This was my first time. Service was great. Our server was on it. Great atmosphere to have work meetings. I had an omelet. I plan to come back to try something else. The food was ok.

2022-05-07Great atmosphere, Great food, Great cocktails, and Great service - super cute restaurant in Canal Winchester. Went there twice in one week with my family and the food was great - I had the Ruben and Brie/Pear Bison Burger over the two visits and they were great. They have an excellent BBQ sauce (which I typically get for as a fry condiment) and their Mac and cheese my sister got was amazing. Our waitress provided great service both times, food and drinks were prompt. The Harvest Green Tea cocktail was superb 👍

2021-07-20Went for breakfast and sat outside. The patio area is nice and has large roller shades that keep sun and rain out but yet can see through them. The food was good. I ordered the house hash (see pic after I already ate a lot of it!). It was tasty just wish it had come with toast. They have some different and unique menu items which my family was a fan of. There is a traditional breakfast option. There isn’t a kid’s menu but you can order off the a la cart menu.

2021-10-22Beautiful establishment with a quaint atmosphere. The dessert in the case looked amazing btw. I wish I would have had enough room to add some of that to my order. Next time I will come for just that! Our server was new but did do a good job! I think with time she will have it mastered especially if she listens and pays attention to the nice lady training her. She was on top of things! Our meal was phenomenal! The crisp Brussel sprouts appetizer was incredibly delicious. The marmalade and gouda cheese with bacon and I believe onions was my favorite thing! I could have eaten that as an entrée. The kickin chicken sandwich was also on point! Just the right amount of spice. Beautiful slice of lettuce and tomato and the sauce, WOW. Compliments to the chef!I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to eating here again!

2022-01-18Great cocktails. Loved the brussel sprout appetizer. I had the Harvest salad with a side of blackened salmon, it was great! The portion of salmon was very generous. I could easily have shared my meal and it would have been plenty. Very friendly service. One of my favorite restaurants!

2022-05-18Love this place. The best food in canal by far. Everything is from scratch except the ketchup and mayo. Vegan/ vegetarian options plus a great selection of regular stuff. Harvest moon has a special place in my heart and anyone looking for a great beast/lunch/dinner in canal should stop in. Its not all about the food the staff and atmosphere is one of a kind you will not be disappointed!
