Harbor Freight Tools in other cities:
A great place when you need a cheap tool. The service is good and they know whats in there store. It scent is Chinese Rubber and quite unique. I usually purchase quality, but at times this place certainly has pretty decent selection. The small wetxh I purchased was the best I could find for the price. Super happy with it, has changed how I use my 37ton log splitter.
This place used to be a place I visited frequently. Untill the day my father had got a new house and was excited to buy the most expensive fully loaded toolboxes that they offer. My brother and I split it and purchased it as a gift for him. Literally we were told it would take 3-4 weeks tips for it to arrive. It has been over 4 months and he still has not received the tool box. He was so excited that he gave away his other tool boxes to people in need of them. Also had the added benefit of not having to move them. Noe my poor AMAZING father. Has a brand new great big garage and inside is tools laying all over the place. He is very big on everything having a place. So this has upset my father and still left him feeling uncomfortable about what was his favorite part of the house. They have not made on effort to compensate for this and wouldnt even let us take the floor model even after willing to take the item as is. I feel that at this point the money was either stolen or a loan. To make things rite I feel the money should be reembursed and toolbox should be free of charge. Of course my father not wanting to cause conflict just waited for his toolbox.
Prices are more than reasonable. Staff very friendly. Plus its close to where I live. Will be checking there first for all my tool needs. Bought a Chicago Electric Oscillating multi-function tool to help with some home projects. Love it. Priced similar tools at Home Depot and Lowes. They were triple the price!
Clean store, friendly employees and always helpful. The parking lot sale is pretty awesome. A very big selection of just about every tool you will need for any project youre working on. The warranty is kinda short on everything, so I opt in for the extended warranty. Plus if anything breaks they exchange it without any questions. Great tool store all around, highly recommended.
Good tools only wish they had my 30 gallon central neumatic air compressor in stock. The guy working told me I had to go to Newark but I shopped there today and the lady told me they had one o broad st. I spent 1000.00 more than I wanted to . I bought an ingrasol rand . This happened at harbor freight on 161 in Columbus Ohio . Im a regular customer and the wrong info cost me a lot more than I needed to spend
Cheaply priced tools in a smaller space than a big box stores, plus theyre always having sales and actually have coupons that are awesome. certainly youll want quality tools for certain jobs but for the most part its awesome to be able to afford twice youd be able to at a regular hardware store.
Good for that one tool you need for that one job that you have to finish. If you just need to buy a cheap tool to get it done this is the place to go they have just about anything you can think of theres even odds and ends that you would never expect to see at Lowes or home Depot
This store on Dublin Grandview is amazing the store is super clean they have what you need in stock and the staff is super friendly. Definitely am going to make a second visit back to this door. The one on the west side has some work to do great people just dont always have stuff in stock
Recently had purchased a buffer machine. It was defective the graciously allowed me to exchange for one that wasnt defective. Every time I go there I pick up at least $50 to $150 worth of tools and merchandise. Some people talk about the quality of the items they have there. Its not like Im doing everyday construction work. I do small jobs around the house the tools that I purchase there have always held up well.
Dont bother with their extra warranty its a waste of money and time! I purchased a pump, it went bad in less than 2 months, they wont let new return it, wont replace it, made me call a Harbor Freight number, had to go online to answer questions I need the pump replaced today Im in the middle of a job. Now I have to wait 3 weeks for a refund to purchase another one, in the meantime Im without a pump. I guarantee the next one will not come from Harbor Freight!!
Great prices, friendly and courteous staff, and a store-full of useful and eclectic items. Ive never had a bad experience in this place in the 10 years that Ive been making trips here. Dont forget your coupons! Its like like a less expensive version of Ace hardware with a slightly different focus on what they supply.
Only giving 1 stars because when I called I was told the 1900 lbs trailer was available, the guy I talked to said they had two. When I got there, half the staff werent wearing masks, and the some of the ones who were, had their noses out. And the trailer were not available. Either the two trailers both sold in 2 hours, or the stock person didnt want to look, or flat out lied to me on the phone. No matter which, next time I will order online and do curbside pickup. Or maybe go with a different supplier.
Ordered a tool box as a presale and waited for it to ship to the store for 10+ days. I was called by the manager and informed it was ready for pickup. Drove 45 minutes to learn the manager left 4 hours early for the day and that there was no way I could take possession of this tool box because it requires use of a forklift and the manager is the only one who’s certified. Why call a customer and tell them their product is ready for pickup and then not have the product ready to be loaded up? I even offered to lift it myself but of course that’s not allowed.Moral of the story Mr. Manager: Don’t leave your job early knowing you’re the only person who can operate a forklift. You’ll lose business. I was not the only person who showed up at the same time and was turned away from their pickups.
I became part of their Inside Track Club awhile back. I have had a really difficult time using it. They clearly mark what is club prices in the tools on the shelves but they will not give you those prices unless you bring in the mailer they send you. I am pretty sure it is just this location. Knowing what I know now I wouldnt spend money on it. I like the selection of tools here. Prices cant be beat. Some people beat them up on quality but I have had tools of all brands break one time or another, so it happens. Just save your money and decline the Inside Track.
Great prices! They carry most of the tools and accessories I need. I have bought many tools from them over the years - air compressor, finish nailer, framing nailer, compound mitre saw, chain saw, hammer, level, screw drivers, drill, drill bits, etc. I have had good luck with them all.
I would constantly receive coupons for this place and finally decided to see what the store was like. The store is located at the back of a run down shopping plaza with many blank store fronts, and it is in a part of town that has seen better days but... ITS LIKE JOANNS FOR POWER TOOLS! So many great prices on so many items! Do not come here without your coupons though! The gentleman working checkout was super nice and made sure we knew the low-down on the store since it was our first time visiting. I got a rotary tool and an 80 piece kit for 7 DAMN DOLLARS. I love this store.
Good for inexpensive simple, non-mechanical items (e.g., some lines of hand tools, misc sanding discs, grinder attachments, router and drill bits, safety accessories, ramps, hitches, etc.), especially with their ubiquitous 20% off coupon and regular coupon-filled catalog. While they do have some higher end lines that include power tools that could compete with more widely-known power tool brands (with respect to performance and value for the money), the 20% coupon usually excludes those lines. A fine starting point for the budding DIYer and even those more experienced who have expertise but realize the times and tasks theyll use the tools dont justify the hefty price tag of high end brands. Overall, Harbor Freight Tools is a combination of you get what you pay for and thatll do just fine in getting the job done. P.S. Ive always experienced kind customer service in every Harbor Freight store Ive been to in central Ohio.
Very dissatisfied with this location, my first time at this store. Staff does not seem to be very people friendly let alone customer-friendly.Spent way too much time in there walking around looking for a certain tool, and it was very obvious that I could have used some assistance, but when the eye contact is totally avoided..needless to say I didnt by what the hell I even went in there for theres more down the road with the same name on the building .. and hopefully not so much trash around in the parking lot is this one as well.
The five star rating is based on whether or not you call store to store to find out if they have what you want in stock if they have what you want in stock than it is a great experience just be careful what you buy not everything they sell is very good but they dont make it they just sell it
Like all Harbor freight stores it seemed like its always going out of business but never does. They have tolls they have little bit of everything from mechanics from backyard mechanics in you know backyard car burners and people that just wanna buy an expensive stuff and their prices are fairly reasonable. But when you go there I always get a deal because I have an email address that they send stuff to and coupons do and thats when U can buy stuff and save even more money. Its just middle grade middle and lower grade tools I call on the throwaway told when they break a throwaway go buy another one but on all pray last as long as some good stuff, so its whatever you want
Cashiers and management are using the Harbor Freight coupon books from behind the register to give customers free warranties and ITC memberships without customers permission. When you request to have the warranty and the ITC membership removed they get really upset/angry and refuse to give you the coupon price and make you pay full price since you dont have a coupon with you. Buyers beware that they could be adding stuff to your transactions without your knowledge. I suggest that you review your receipt before leaving the store as well. This happened to me while shopping with a family member. Not going back to Harbor Freight as long as I can purchase some where else even if more expensive.
This is a great place for disposable tools. Everything from lifetime hand tools to air tools, towing, welders, and woodworking equipment. Everything here is cheap Chinese stuff as the name implies. As long as you know that going in, youll be happy. Might stay away from electric drills? Check the warranties.
Harbor freight sells decent tools. But when you want to return a something that came broken, their managers shouldn’t also be tools. Ryan, the manager at this location needs to be demoted back to stockboy or something without customer interaction. My fiancé and I went and bought some supplies from this particularly shady location for his car and purchased a car jack that was broken and some other tools that didn’t fit our needs. It happens. My fiancé tried to return these items to the store, but he lost his receipt. Even with the credit card he purchased it on- they couldn’t take the item back. Ryan’s “can’t help you” attitude was unnecessary, but as far as a no return without receipt policy, that’s understandable! So my fiancé called the corporate office and they emailed him a digital copy of his receipt. When he went back to the store with the digital copy of the receipt, Ryan told him that it could be fake and that he needed corporate to email it to him directly. But he wouldn’t give my fiancé his email! How does that work?Well my fiancé called corporate back, and had them send it to him using his name and store number. Corporate said “wow, this guy really just doesn’t want to help you, does he?”So finally, finally, we made this return. But wow, that was bad.
The staff is nice, manager is a cool guy but the store is in a old strip mall in a part of town that gets worse every year. Out of the stores up north, in canton, Akron, and other areas the inventory here seems to be the worst. I ended up going to Akron to get the side cabinets and other bits for my toolbox. I’ll still go here for consumables and little stuff.
Ive been coming to this store for many years, and this morning was the worse experience Ive ever had at this store with the cashier. I had to exchange a defective screwdriver in which this rude cashier said this was going to be a one time only that I was allowed to do this. ITS BROKE NEW FROM THE STORE AND YOUR NOT GOING TO EXCHANGE IT FOR A CUSTOMER............. RIGHT. now Im normally the bigger person and not get in to it with people like this and take the matter above them. First off Im thinking long and hard to ever come back. Normally everyone here is very helpful and seems to be pretty knowledgeable about items throughout the store. Especially a few weeks ago when I purchased a hand truck....... If I do come back, it wont be for awhile. If I see this person in store, you wont get my business. Ill turn back around and go home. Go to walmart, you can find same stuff and you wont receive attude.
Waited in line for 20ty min then manager opened anthor line an let the last person in line go first an he new it. I stayed quite try not to let it get to me then he threw away my discount paper without taking my 20 percent off so asked for it back he says youll get more in mail said I dont care about them I want my own back. That was bull poop
Pretty good discount hardware store. About the quality of mid to low tier stuff youd find at Lowes, Ace, or Home Depot, but dont stock materials like lumber, insulation, paint, or hardware. Much more variety of tools than my local Ace, easier to navigate than my local Lowes. Friendly staff and convenient location make it a good choice for me if I have to pick something up after work. Id reccomended for beginners starting a home shop
Great ,Ive never had any issues, most of the staff are great an help you if they can .you always have one person that wishes they were else where .my own bad experience was with one girl she was a little snotty so I smiled an ask more questions than I was originally so she worked a little harder and made me feel a little better try it sometime . Retail is just that way sometimes this is coming from someone thats been in retail for more than 20 years
Just call this store for first time very very rude staff never again. I was asking about an item and a female employee put me on hold as I was talking did not know, as talking a guy said we will never carry again she was busy I never knew I was placed on hold no indication what so ever. Would not NEVER SHOP HERE

2021-08-08I used to shop at this location at least once or twice a week. This was before the pandemic. This store has always been stocked up and there was never a time they didnt have what I was looking for. A few of the employees went above and beyond. One of my visits involved me Purchasing an appliance dolly. There were none on the floor, so I asked an employee. They checked in the back and nothing. Oh well.... As I was on my way out. The same gentleman started yelling for me, I found one, I found one! Talk about making my day!My only issue was a few of the employees. At times a select few were rude and or they were to busy carrying a conversation with another employee at checkout to acknowledge you. Like I said, well over a year ago.I visited this store a few weeks ago and I must say. The black woman at checkout was very pleasant Young lady. She was very bubbly and upbeat along with a high level of courtesy. The way she handled herself was as if she was the owner taking care of her store. If one was in a bad mood, they wouldnt be after leaving her line. In my opinion, this is the way its done! I hope all future visits have the same outcome. I dont see a name on the receipt, the the date and time was 7/17/21 at 2:07 pm. Thanks again!By the way, please bring back the 20% off and the free coupons. I for one have not gone as much since Harbor Freight stopped handing those out. Its a bit of a drive for me, but with some free stuff with my purchase. The coupons made it worth my wild. I hear others complaining about this as well. Sales must be down because of it.
