I was here on business from March 29/April 1st.. my stay was extremely pleasant..the staff is most certainly the BEST thus far and I stay at the Hamptons on all my trips... First I brought my Aunt with me and she mingled around and met Jasmine whom is an exceptional woman customer service A1,Kim is an Angel , and Rick is filling big shoes .. they went beyond the common service of greeting us they actually took care of her while I worked.. from waking her up to come eat breakfast to checking on her throughout the day.. she usually is a loner and stay to herself she was excited day in day out say ing they call me Auntie Laverne she was happy and felt a sense of compassion. I cant thank the staff enough.. The staff here was more like family they take pride in the service they give. They are genuine and caring individuals that need the recognition of a great service well done ..thank you so much I definitely will be back.
The hotel is older, but well-maintained. The stacc are professional and friendly. The bedding is comfortable and clean. But breakfast was cold and overcooked. The only edible items available were the oatmeal and cold cereal. The price is right, however. So for a one-night layover in Austintown, this hotel is worth the cost.
The staff here is amazing and very welcoming. The gentleman that served breakfast was professional and we enjoyed talking to him. He did a great job keeping the breakfast filled even though several softball teams were eating at the same time. The ladies at the desk at night were also very friendly and made our trip even more enjoyable.
Conveniently located hotel just off of I80 near gas stations, restaurants and coffee shops. The area felt safe. There is free parking all the way around the hotel and key activated access in the back. The front desk staff members were friendly and professional. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was stocked and clean. The hot breakfast was done up well, served buffet style. If you have a room facing the freeway, there will be considerable noise. I recommend getting one on the other side of the hotel if possible.
I tried to save a little money and went with a cheaper hotel...BAD IDEA! Not only was Hampton able to get me in, the gal I spoke with was able to get me in right then and there (like 10 in the mor ing) so I wasnt wondering around a town looking homeless. Now I know...it really is about quality!!
The folks in Ohio are so lovely; the front desk representatives smiled and greeted me warmly. I was impressed with the option to have continuous fan on the air conditioning since the highway is close by. The pool is simply divine. It was a wonderful suite with plenty of room for clothes (hangers abundant).
We arrived around 8:30 pm and we were starving. Dina at the front desk went above and beyond by calling a few local pizza parlors to see if they were still open. Dina also recommended which places were best. The morning front desk person let me check my room because I thought I left my sunglasses there. Excellent customer service! The room was comfortable and the bed was soft.
They changed my rooms bed size from a king to a double and didnt notify me until I got there. And told me the price would be reduced from 131 down to 114 and the employee told me and my fiance that since they did not notify us that we could grab a few snacks and sodas from the snack bar free of charge, so we did and then I look on my bank statement and it shows I was charged $136 for the room plus another charge for $6 for snacks even though I was told my room rate was reduced and that the snacks were free of charge because of the last minute room change since the king size room has a maintenance issue going on, I know its not alot of different in the price or the charge for snacks, but itd the principal of them not honoring the reimbursement because of the lack of communication before we got there to check in plus lack of communication by saying the snack bar items would be reimbursement for their lack communication to their guest(me)
Amazing stay with amazing staff! These poor souls had to deal with a wrestling tournament, cheer/dance competition and a baseball tournament all in the same weekend and they handled it amazingly! Id also like to add that the front desk staff Aubrey and Darko were amazing and so friendly to everyone and helped with everything in a timely and friendly manner! Would highly recommend, especially if those two are working! 🤗
The staff were all very nice and courteous, beginning with check in with offers of bottled water right through to check out. We had slight issue with our room and Jamie went above and beyond to correct it. We were very impressed with the service! Our room was very clean and the hotel seems to have been recently remodeled. The breakfast was good; plenty of variety. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the Youngstown area.
Pool was over chlorinated giving my friends daughter a rash all over, my daughters had cherry skin. Hotel is super small. Rooms are tiny. Halls barely fit a cart so if you are moving luggafe and theres a cleaning crew out youre hosed. My mattress was a wire hammock. 2 spring mattresses stacked instead of a boxspring. Microwave tiny. Bathroom was falling apart. Shower pipe just flailed around while i was trying to adjust the shower head, the shower curtain rail was about to fall out of the wall. The front desk ladies. I dealt with 3 of them. Not one told me the same thing when asked about, pool, fitness area. Like they kicked our friends out of the pool at 8 for closing then we called down and they told us it was open till 9 so we went and swam and got rashes. Then 1 told us if we wanted to workout after hours just ask to be let in. So i went down and asked to eork out and was told by the other lady it was closed sorry...this was my worst hilton stay so far out of about 30. Walls are super thin. Ac sounds like a construction zone. Other than that it was 👍 🤣
Arrived at 3AM due to a rain storm during a long drive. The night clerk was friendly and got us checked in quickly. Double queen room for $88. The room was very clean and cool. In room mini fridge and large TV. Beds seemed smaller than a queen sized though. Comfortable and good pillows. Complimentary breakfast. Usual breakfast fare laid out. Was pretty good. Had a make your own waffle station! Checkout was easy and they had brown lunch bags with water and a few road snacks that were also complimentary. Everyone was very friendly. Next time we are caught in a rainstorm in the wee hours I hope it is near this place again.
Needed an overnight stay for a dance competition. Downtown hotel would have been $138. This newly remodelled Hampton Inn, which is part of Hiltons system, was clean and modern with a well spaced free breakfast. It was convenient to freeways and a variety of restaurants....at 1/2 the price.
The staff is amazing. Allie was very helpful in every aspect. The room is clean. The bed was a little hard for my back. Breakfast was good. Would love to see biscuits and gravy served. All in all it was a very good experience and will stay at a Hampton inn again.Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We were a large group of 70+ staying overnight on both our way to Philafelphia and our trip back home. The staff was ready for us each time! Keys to rooms were waiting with our names and check in was a breeze! On our trip out we left the next morning at 5:30 am and the hotel staff made special arrangements for staff to come in and open up breakfast earlier than normal! Thank you for your kind and friendly staff. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable! I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Theres so much good about this place. Staff is lovely, room was very clean. Breakfast is the standard tasty fare of all Hampton Inns. However our room, room 118, had a strong distinct smell like mildew as we entered every time. We booked last minute, so maybe thats not a room they use all that often. But that is why four stars, not five. Saadys restaurant just across the parking lot, had terrific food, surprisingly for a little Route 80 exit. Wed definitely stay again on vacation travel through the area.
The hotel was in very good condition. The rooms were clean and updated. The staff were very nice and helpful with restaurant ideas. The pool also very nice, not too cold or over chlorinated. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because breakfast was just ok. We were there for two breakfasts, one morning no meat options, the next morning only small pieces sausage in gravy. The fresh cut fruit was covered in a sugar syrup.
This is the best Hampton Inn ever! My family chooses Hampton Inn in almost all of our out of town trips. This hotel has set the benchmark of a Hampton Hotel: very clean room and bathroom, a good variety of breakfast options, and very friendly staff. It is very strategically located close to the highway. There are many dining options should you need it. There is a bustling area about 2 miles away. Its unfortunate that we only stayed for one night from Cedar Point. Good customer service to provide cold bottled water upon check-in. Whenever we will have the chance again, I will make sure to book this hotel again! Thank you and keep it up!
We stayed here on our trip from MI to VA. Our room was nice and clean and the pool was a plus. My only complaint - I called the front desk later in the evening looking for an extra blanket. The receptionist said shed have one send up. 20 minutes later, after calling back, I was informed their were no extra blankets ... in the whole hotel. Granted, the ones they have in the rooms are nice but we really could have used another.
The front desk staff that checked us in were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well maintained. Bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast attendant was so nice and personable. I would highly recommended this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay! Stayed over the weekend for a dance competition. If we return to the same competition next year, we will definitely stay here again. Very clean and good location but the best part was the manager Jamie. She was fantastic, went above and beyond and treated you like she’s known you forever! She made it a wonderful stay :)
The reason why we gave the Hampton Inn at Youngstown a five star was, because the room was very clean the the service was one of the best! When we got in we signed up for Hampton rewards and not only did they count the night we stayed. But Chuck slid the membership card under our door! The bathroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Chuck is also very knowledgeable about the area and took the time to help us find the parks we were going to visit. The breakfast was very nice which put on the fifth star.
Lovely place to stay, the staff is so incredibly nice. We had to stay a night here after our rental box truck broke down, the night staff provided us with toothbrush, comb, shaving gear, the works. The next day, Kim gave us an extension on check out time as we waited for our replacement truck. She was even nice enough to give us snacks, an apple, and water while we waited. Exceptional service and a very comfortable place to stay.
Beyond impressed! In the time of COVID, this is the cleanest and best run place we stayed in (we have been on the road sleeping in hotels for a over a week now): the place is spotless. They clearly put a lot of care into COVID precautions, sanitizing and keeping both their guests and their stuff safe. Great job! I only hope other hotels would follow similar procedures.
We had a great nights sleep because of the very quiet a/c...excellent mattress...blackout window treatments and cleanliness of this inn.Bfast was good cept for the alpple sausage links...we didnt care for.The juice bar had a large variety to chose from. The staff was really very friendly. We would have liked a hot tub in the pool area. The driveway needs to be redone.
All of the staff at this Hampton Inn were very polite. My room was recently renovated and in excellent shape. It is definitely one of the nicer Hampton Inn facilities I have stayed at. The prices were reasonable and breakfast was good, but the selection was slightly less than other Hampton facilities. Parking seemed more than adequate as well. I really enjoyed my stay here and will consider this location again in the future. Hopefully all the rooms will be renovated at that point.
This hotel was in a quiet location. It is very close driving distance to a Starbucks. The beds were totally comfortable and cozy. The shower and bathroom were spotless and shiny. It carries Neutrogena Products in the bathroom :).The brunch/breakfast was just great. Super friendly and enjoyable from the front desk to the breakfast receptionist.
Looking for a comfortable place to stay... You found it! Pleasant staff, great cookies at desk, quiet rooms with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, good shower pressure, and a nice continental breakfast area. The room also was also set up with a small desk area and attached table area with stools. There was even a nice to go bag with fruit, water, and muffin. Military and AARP discounts!!!
Quick, clean service and room. They allowed us to check in at 3am and get into a room without much of a hiccup. This was great as kids were asleep and we wanted to minimize the time from the car not being in motion until we carried them into bed. Generous breakfast and late check out. Was perfect for our visit.
The Hampton Inn Youngstown-West I-80 was the best place we stayed on our whole trip. The staff was very accommodating and breakfast was awesome. I think it was one of the best free breakfasts Ive had in a hotel. The water in the pool was also a great temperature- no need to spend 5 minutes getting used to it. The room was clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again when we pass through.
Other than some Chex cereal on the floor in the room when we checked in . everything was clean , and in working order. Breakfadt had lots of choices , and was better that he new years Eve meal we had the night before. The staff was polite and quick to respond when we asked about anything .I would stay here again but I would bring my swim suit next time. Thanks Dena for all your help!#
The hotel was very nice everything was clean there was a nice reception by the manager and she recommended a nice place to eat for us. The only thing was that the carpet was recently cleaned in the room and the cleaning smell was very apparent we had to spray our own air freshener to combat that other than that everything was good, we did mention the smell to the front desk but they said probably all the rooms were just cleaned and he did not move us
The staff were incredibly friendly. They helped us find a place to eat dinner and gave us detailed directions to a redbox when we were looking to watch a movie. The facilities are nice, the room was very clean, and the hotel overall was quiet. In all, the hotel was excellent. Its definitely one of the nicest Hampton Inns Ive ever stayed at.
A haven after a difficult day. We had been stuck on ice on a hill that was part of the I-80W detour near Mercer, PA, and were narrowly missed by a jackknifed tractor trailer that started to slide down that hill. Unable to continue to our planned stop, we pulled off I-80 and into the Hampton Inn around midnight. Randy, the night clerk, was cheerful, sympathetic, and worked to get us the best discount for our emergency stay. They had hot chocolate packet at the large coffee bar in the lobby, so in addition to a wonderfully comfortable bed and real, thermostatically controlled heat, I had a nice hot chocolate to help me drift off to sleep. Oh--lots of big, fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast provided eggs scrambled or hard-boiled, Frech toast sticks, assorted real freshly baked muffins and sweet breads, fresh fruit salad as well as whole fruit and even already-bagged breakfast to go. Would stay there again most definitely.
Happy New Year!!!! This location was apart of our family stop and energy was blessed. Dina & Kim let my kids charge their electronics and as i was walking in the door about to ask how much was a cup of popcorn, my daughter had some in her hand. So awesome!! Just a beautiful place to give your business. The Hilton touch so i am not surprised😁🎉🎊🎉🎊 Happy New Year. Thank you Tamika Morgan for taking my photo and making me comfortable. When we pass thru again this will be our location for rest.
Great friendly service. Had a small issue with bug bites on one of our beds, but I think it was just a fluke as everything was nicely kept and clean. Staff was very good as we dealt with the issue, provided us with bags upon request, and even comped our night for free. All in all, a nice place to stay, despite our one issue.
Front Desk Staff were Nice & Friendly! Got to our room & found a Potato Chip in the corner behind the door into the room! It was with some sort of what looked like Seeds! We were there 3 Days & 2 Nights, yet that Chip Never moved! Room was supposedly Cleaned, cause the Beds were made & Bathroom Linens replaced!
I came to this hotel based on a review from 3 weeks ago and Im glad I did. Phenomenal staff, extremely clean, comfortable room, great breakfast... what more could I ask for? This will be the only hotel I stay in when visiting my clients in this area. After having some not even good experiences at high-end hotels on this trip I didnt even want to leave this one. This hotel should be a model for all hotels in the area. Thank you to everyone on their staff who made this stay so pleasant. I might just stay in town and make a long trip in the morning to my next client just so I can stay here again instead of taking a chance with another hotel.
Definitely not a good place to work, majority Not All of the staff are snakes. I asked for time off was told that it was granted and covered. My first day out of town I get a email from the Manager that my desk position cant be held because of business needs (Someone at the other hotel quit). So I called back and said I was returning early and could come back to work mind you this was all on the same day. I am told no sorry you cant come back you have already been replaced (In less than a hour? Really?).Well later I found out that the person I was replaced with was actually a personal friend of the sales manager (Go figure).Gets even better lol I get phone calls asking why did I quit? Saying I putting in a 2 2wk notice? Nope never did that at all.
I can’t say enough about the staff here. I left my Apple Watch in our room and realized it a couple hours later. The Front Desk Manger went to the room, found it where my 2-year old son had hidden it, and took it to the UPS Store to be shipped out. Talk about going the extra mile. I’m a fan for life!
I am staying for a work trip and to start off right when you walk in the door the lady(s) in the fron desk are by far the most helpful and friendly that I have came across during any hotel stay.moving to the rooms wich are very well kept and spacious. The hole building is well kept for that matter.
I stayed here yesterday 1/6/19. I told the lady at the front desk this morning at about 9am, that I was very uncomfortable on the bed. I just felt like I was getting tiny stabs all over my body and in my hair it felt like I was under water, head hurt in a weird way. I just ignored it, figured it was all in my head or maybe I was allergic to the detergent they use...around 2am I got tired of being woken up to tiny bits of pain. I took a shower washed my hair and all of that pain went away. I realized it was the bed. All she did was say sorry and I shouldve asked for another room. Thats it. The maintenance guy came over, I told my story again, he didnt seem surprised, he seemed like hes heard this before. The lady said if it were bed bugs theyd be big not small...didnt seem true, I know they come in all shapes and sizes... I told her I figured one room feels like this they all will. The breakfast was less than satisfying, today it was just watery scrambled eggs and french toast cut to look like french toast sticks. I read in the reviews you get a little bag of snacks when you check out. She didnt offer me one, I was looking forward to a baggy wanted to see what exactly was Just a sad night. Sad breakfast. Ill never return to this location. May never use Hampton Inn again. Although my company paid for this, I do choose where I stay.
Good rates, friendly Staff, and a nice renovation.......but BE SURE to ask for a room on the LEFT side of the hotel as you face the front door. This was my first time to stay on the Interstate side of the property (to the right) which is way noisier than I expected/realized beforehand.
Hotel was great, front desk guy was less than helpful telling us we booked at the wrong hotel without even seeing our reservation slip then saying we booked at a hotel 80 miles away which wasnt true would stay there again if it wasnt for that guy great hotel otherwise
This was an acceptable hotel. I gave it four stars because, though it was right off the highway, it was across the street from a strip club. Yeah, weird, especially cuz there was a motel next to it. If it wasnt for the red light district, i would have given it five stars.
My lil family stayed here for 3 days 2 nights- from firat day cuatimer service was great- lasy that checked us in was very nice-everything was on point- we left and i left mu stroller- quickly they called but i was already on our way to Buffalo,Ny- they asked if i wanted it shipped- i said yes- Jamie went above and beyond with the customer service- she got a box went to UPS and chipped my baby stroller for me as it was a gift and it was a special stroller- so appreciated with them- we will deff stay there again- thanks Jamie and staff for the everything even the little girl who have me toothe paste- our gratitude always!! fam Pizarro-Pinet❤️

2022-06-26Beautiful hotel, the room was very clean however the bed was a little hard. It wasn’t the soft comfy hotel bed I remember. The staff is amazing all very friendly and accommodating. Also I agree with another review 24 hour coffee is perfect. The coffee is good too.

2022-07-03Rooms were clean, temperature control was very steady, water was not highly chlorinated :), check-in staff was very polite and helpful. No major complaints, just a little more pricey than average and nothing to really set it apart. Only 2 minor complaints would be the water pressure was just okay and the walls are either a little thin or there was some little kid screeching in the halls for about 20 minutes at 7:30 AM, which was early given our late arrival.

2022-06-11Rolling through to IL was able to get a room last minute. You cant beat the 24-hour coffee available. I love the couch and table in the room. The shower was perfectly HOT!! And more importantly, I wasnt standing in water, not draining!! Plus, no nasty cigarette smell! This will be My go-to place when I make My road trips!!

2022-06-10Your typical Hampton inn hotel room. However, two things stand out for this particular hotel: a sensor night light in the bathroom (a nice touch), and the toilet seat cover is very sturdy plastic (not a cheap and a flimsy one at some hotels that you cannot even put it down to sit on it to dry your feet after shower because it would sink by your body weight). The coffee offered in the lobby was hot and strong. Complimentary breakfast is included but we didnt take advantage of it.

2022-05-04I would come back here again. This place is clean and quiet. Comfy beds, real cable TV and more than enough soft clean towels that dont scratch like brillo pads. The front desk night guy was hilarious. Nice dude from NJ!

2022-03-30Absolutely fantastic! Great coffee/tea ALL DAY. They have a small store set up so you dont have to go anywhere. Not pricey as some hotels charge double and triple for that convenience. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING ! EGGS, BACON, SEASONDED POTATOES, OATMEAL! Let me say, I have traveled far and wide, but this is the First Hotel I have seen with BANANA NUT WAFFLE BATTER ! OMG! AND French Vanilla waffle batter. Breakfast is usually something that is a very large part of my bookings. A typical waffle house up to a Bob Evans, you are going to spend $20-40 for a pair of meals...why? I would recommend this hotel to anyone, any time, anywhere! Staff was OUTSTANDING and went above and beyond..we had an emergency, and they got us checked in ahead of check in time!

2022-06-10Not bad just average. Had no eggs for breakfast the first day. If I were manager I would have found a way to provide for my customers for those few days without.

2022-03-27My wife and I stayed here on the first floor. Contentinental breakfast was good. They do have limited linens. Kids are allowed to run the halls above you in the hallways. And some inconsiderate buffoon must have slept on his key fob. Every so often his car alarm would go off like clock work.
