Was clean when considering current staffing issues being felt industry wide. Was one of the more clean hotels I have stayed in during COVID. Breakfast was decent. Have the waffle maker which is always nice. Hot and cold food. Bed is a little more firm then I prefer but thats just my preference. Pillows were comfy. Easy check in (can do online and use ur phone as key). Easy check out. Staff was nice. Will say didnt give 5 stars due to an issue that I felt was a minor safety issue. Husband was handed a key to the room no questions asked by simply saying can I get a key to room ###. As a person who frequently travels alone this was a little unnerving. I addressed in the survey so hopefully they do a little training with staff to at least ask for the name of the person who rented the room. But overall good stay and I would stay here again.
Had to travel from Indiana to Ohio twice in one week and we made sure they gave us the same hotel! The staff is awesome! Carter was extremely kind and helpful. Miss Brenda was so sweet and made THE BEST roasted potatoes I have ever had. It felt like coming back home when we came back for the second visit. Thank you all for a wonderful experience! 10/10 recommend.
Great place. We totally loved our stay. The bed was a bit stiff but the pillows were wonderful. The AC works great. Oooo and dont forget to plug the fridge in if you plan to use it. LOL! We got back from dinner and put our leftovers in a room temp fridge. No big deal.
I have always been impressed with this hotel, staff and service. This last time not so much. It is in dire need of carpet cleaning and a face lift. The only employee that was friendly and helpful my entire stay was Judith. This hotel is not that old, but no care has been given to its appearance in a long while. I may give it another try, but my have to look for another place to stay.
Very disappointed. I have stayed here before w/o issues. But, this last stay was bad. Carpets stained and unswept in rooms and halls. Bedding smelled. Walls dirty. Things in need of repair. One person working. No housekeeping. I paid for one night but didnt stay there. Cancelled my booking and moved to another hotel down the street that was fine. I complained to the clerk but the level of issues at this hotel now cant be fixed by changing rooms. Also noticed the lack of cleanliness and quality has not impacted the price-same as when it was a nice hotel. This is my first negative review about any business but, really want others to avoid this hotel until it does an overhaul.
I booked Nov 1-8 , 2021. Staff is ok. Room was initially clean as was the hotel in general. Fridge & microwave worked fine. Pillows are way too soft and the bed spread/downcomforter kept bunching up in the down cover, drove me nuts. Housekeeping never came to my room , so about everyother day I had to take my trash to them and get clean linens , towels, and toilet paper & make my bed.. Once I called the front desk around 8:30am to get fresh towels and trash bags & the male desk clerk asked me to come down and get them, Uh no thanks Im still in my pajamas & had no clean towels to even wash my face. I would think for the cost of a room per night ,not including the increased weekend fees , I could have at the very least had housekeeping come and at least knock to see if I needed anything....and Im not joking not 1 time did they even knock. Im up by 7am daily. Disappointed for the price.
Positive: Beautiful, clean, up to date, spacious, quiet, a pleasant view, etc etc etc..... There was nothing that wasnt 110%! Very pleased! This hotel staff obviously takes pride in a job well done. They easily set what the standard should be. Impressed. Negative: No.
I would return to this motel ! It was very clean and dining room and bedrooms were beautifully decorated .The dining room personnel was very friendly! Loved everything about this motel! Next time Im going to try the indoor pool and workout room! We were here for a family wedding and didnt have alot of time😔 but will definitely be back if ever in the area!
Sleeping in my car would have made a more restful experience. There were so many missed opportunities for this (newer property) to be the relaxing place that the Hilton brand markets themselves to be. You missed the mark in such a way that I will consider staying at a Hyatt before another Hilton property. Details matter (to this 20+ year HHonors member at least).
Must have been the cleaning persons day off, room was littered with used sugar packets on the ground next to the trash receptacle. There was also what looked like a fast food wrapper on the ground behind the door to the room. Other than that, the room was good. Wish Hilton would bring back the seals on the doors and the bagged TV remote to show incoming guests they are still committed to the safety and cleanliness standards they are known for.
I met a friend at the Hampton inn in Middletown. It was a little off the beaten path but it was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Additionally there was a Walmart across the street which is convenient when youre traveling and need to pick up any items you may have left at home. The front desk staff was professional and friendly the building and grounds were clean with no odors. My friend said he liked his room and the price was right. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hampton inn Middletown on route 122 youll be glad you did!
When I checked in, I was told that they were putting a hold on my credit card for $159 which was more than my room rate plus taxes. When I received my credit card statement I was charged $159 AND my actual room charge. I immediately called the hotel and they now claim I had a 2nd reservation which is not accurate as I had cancelled that reservation days before checking in. I was told they are issuing a refund. A week later I still did not receive the refund. I called them and the General Manager claims she released a refund for $146.24 (not sure where that amount came from). She also claimed she did not see a charge for $159 in their system. My credit card statement clearly shows the charge made from them. When I asked if she is telling me the $159 is a fraudulent charge, she did not answer but continued to repeat herself telling me to call my bank and suggesting that I can dispute the charge. Her customer service was very rude! She was the one who checked me into the hotel! I will never stay here again!I believe this charge was made fraudulently!I will call their corporate office. This location needs an audit from their corporate office!

We stayed for a few days for a wedding. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. We had a lot of family join us, so the staff allowed us to use the breakfast room at our convenience, and even provided us with eating utensils and other things we needed over our 3 night stay. The rooms were very clean, and the morning/night shift receptionist and assistant manager were very helpful. We will definitely recommend our family and friends this hotel.
We stayed here for two nights and it was a very good experience. The hotel has comfortable beds and coffee all Day. the housekeeping needs improvement,due to the fact that we didn’t get service the following day after our first night. we even left a note on the bathroom door only asking for the trash to be taken out and clean towels. also the breakfast could be better with a little bit of effort on their part but overall good hotel to stay and is close enough to kings island witch is why we went there for.
Excellent Hotel and Staff This is one of the best hotels we stayed in over the thanksgiving. Room was large with a sitting area, was very, very clean and modern. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and professional. We were there for my nephew’s wedding and this hotel staff made our stay best ever! Thank you!!
The lobby has a strange check in setup, due to Covid, I assume. But it didnt make sense to have credit card machines on tables distanced from the check in desk if they are still going to approach you to check your ID. Room was clean and employees were nice. Breakfast was standard hotel food, but I was surprised they still had hot breakfast options and had someone serving food so it wasnt a self serve buffet, again Im assuming a Covid precaution. Location has chain restaurants and shops nearby and right off the highway.
The room was very clean. Liked that its next to a walmart because with kids I feel like we always forget something lol! They had nice little breakfast to go bags which had fruit, a granola bar and other breakfast goodies in them. Staff was really friendly as well. Will probably stay here on our next visit!
Their rooms are clean and spacious, bathroom is very nice, I like that it has a hlass shower door rather than shower curtain. Staff is extremely welcoming, helpful and hospitable. Their breakfast supersedes most continental breakfasts I have had. Definitely would stay here again!
My parents rented a studio room , coming to the area to visit me and my siblings for Christmas. My parents were able to use the dining room downstairs for our big family for gift exchange and pizza we had delivered. The staff was SO helpful and friendly! My parents said they will be staying at this hotel every visit now because we all had such a great experience. Very clean rooms as well. Thank you for your friendliness and hospitality. 5 + stars!!!
I booked to rooms for May 9th 2021 at $103.77 each. When I booked it was book now pay at arrival, they just needed a debit card number to secure the booking. At 1:00 p.m. on the 9th I get a notification saying Hampton Inn did two transactions and took the y money out of my account. I called the Hampton Inn and the lady was so rude arguing with me telling me it was pending that they just ran it for incidentals and nothing would be taken out until we leave. I told her nothing was pending it was taken completely out of my account and that it was storming real bad so there was no way I was going to make it needless to say she was no help and so rude. I called the manager the next day he told me he would be glad to return my money but I had to call booking and have them call him and give him permission to return my money so I did a d booking said they had nothing to do with it that Hampton Inn did the credit card running and took the money out of my account which is correct the transactions clearly says Hampton Inn so they are just giving me the run around. I can understand if they took a fee out since I wasnt able to cancel by the night before but its not my fault it started storming bad all day and night so there was no way I was going to be able to make it from where I lived at they were circumstances beyond my control so they just get a free $207.54 at my expense.
Hotel was nice and clean. Shower was wonderful (no tub seemed a little weird). Bed was super comfortable. Pool area was clean. Breakfast was a decent, standard breakfast. Staff were SUPER friendly, and not in an artificial way. We especially enjoyed the free hot chocolate. As a non-coffee drinker it was nice to have another option. Internet worked fine and plenty of channels on the TV. Key cards were of the newer kind and my husband could just swipe his wallet against the lock without removing the key from it. Made for easier and quicker entry.
I was traveling and had a car accident near here, I actually had reservations at another Hampton Inn, but after the warm welcome and the kindness of the staff while I was waiting on my new rental car, I decided to stay the remainder of the week with them. Great caring staff!!
Giving this a 3 stars only because of Cora. She was amazing. Welcomed us with a smile. We got to our room and it was cozy and large. Bed was super comfortable, would love to have that mattress in my home. Everything was wonderful until we woke Saturday morning with spider bites. I had a couple and my boyfriend had several. We went about our day and it was what it was. We got back Saturday night and Cora was there again and asked our our sleep was, told her about our night and what we found when we woke. Her reaction was genuine and apologetic. She made her offers to which to declined to move to another room because its a spider bite. It happens. Definitely didnt expect it to happen again. We were in our room for all of an hour and in that time my boyfriend was resting, then began itching. Turned lights on only to find several more bites and welts from them. We left and came home to go to doctor. Whatever type of spider it was he had a reaction to and is now on antibiotics and steroids. The services was great. The bed was cozy. The environment was peaceful. The price was wonderful the room we had. The extra roommates were not fun.
Very clean rooms, actually very clean over all. Seeing has the hotel is only a few years old it still has that new hotel smell. Also it was very quiet. The hotel was full every night so far and I have yet to hear a single person. Makes sleeping in this extraordinarily comfortable bed that much better.
We stayed November 2020. Yes , it’s a COVID mess time of year but let me tell you ... the front desk manager George...a to good to be true guy. Even remembered our names the next morning as we came out of elevator. Offered us the best coffee I’ve had (it was behind the counter so George had to make it due to “COVID”. They have 4 suites their and definitely worth the upgrading Loved the place The night lady (I wish I could remember her name ). Even came around to take a picture of us that evening as we were heading out Amazing how kindness changes everything about the rest of anything . George .. you really are the best ,! This morning we got in around 12:30 and there was no one at the desk. We called out, walked around the first floor, called the hotel and it rang, and even banged on the door behind the front desk. This went on for about 20 minutes. We were about to leave and then the woman finally came out she had a big sleep mark on her face. The only reason I gave it a 2 star is because the room was nice and breakfast was good. The green pepper and cheese omelet is delicious.
We stayed at Hampton Inn Middletown for one night and it was excellent. The hotel is very clean. Our check in was quick and easy. There were even chocolate chip cookies at check in! Beds were comfortable. At breakfast the next morning the hostess was welcoming and even brought me out some scrambled eggs because I didnt want a western omelet, which was what was on the buffet. The location was convenient for going to Cincinnati the next day. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at Hampton Inn on various occasions and always have found them to be clean, accommodating, very friendly staff, lovely decor. But I must say the Hampton at Middleton Ohio was the absolute best yet!! Congratulations to the management for running a tight ship!!
Room did not appear vacuumed..dont forget the along walls and under desks! black fuzz, crumbs and hairs, our feet were black on the bottoms! Stairway needed vacuumed. Shower curtain had stains. Toilet bolt not trimmed down..lol. stains on wall elevator was dirty. Breakfast was coffee, tea, yogurt, grain bar. (the holiday inn express in Kentucky had microwave sandwiches)
Nice people. Clean, yet not chemical smelling. Colors of decor (especially as compared to Dry Ridge Ky) were pleasant. Love that this Hampton has exhaust fans in their bathrooms (some dont). Also appreciated that the Housekeeper didnt tuck the TOP sheet under the mattress when she made the bed. Saved me time retucking the bottom sheet in after turning down the bed at night, and saved the back pain that goes with it.My only dissatisfaction would be the breakfast. The cut fruit all tasted the same, and not good. Tastes like it may be soaked in something. I dont care for Hamptons brand of coffee...especially the decaf. They should provide a granola to put on yogurt. Wish that they had more healthy (Greek) yogurt.
Had to switch rooms 3 times, but Heather was very helpful with that. Our 1st room was nice, but the bed was too hard and too small. The 2nd room was also nice, king bed on 1st floor, nut no security curtain in window. Third times a charm. :-) Hotel is easy to get to, and Walmart is right across the drive way. Restaurants are nearby. Hotel has a heated pool, but no hot tub. Continental breakfast, but not set up for gluten free patrons (Im gluten sensitive). Hotel is smoke-free. :-)
I stay in Hilton hotels almost exclusively and at least 90 nights per year. I made my reservation for this hotel from the shoulder of the interstate off-ramp and they had my keys ready when I pulled in to the parking lot less than five minutes later. Check in was probably the fastest I have ever experienced and everyone at the desk was polite and welcoming.I almost didnt stay when I saw that a fellow HHonors member had a hard time here, but it appeared his experience was an anomaly. This hotel is very nice, very quiet, very clean and obviously efficient with regard to the management at the front desk. Also, with regard to the comment about the chair/working desk arrangement, there is a lever on the chair that allows the user to set the height of the chair - its been standard on this sort of chair for the last 40 years give or take, so no complaints there...
Very clean nice stuff wonderful fruit water. Only thing I didnt like what is $10 being taken off my card without my permission they said it was for damage deposit. I understand they have to protect their stuff, but they should let us know at the time when are swiping are card when we check in. It just seems misleading and makes you guys untrustworthy in my eyes from now on be honest.
Nice hotel, but does not fit my needs. I spend several hours working on a laptop each evening. The desk chairs are set so low that the desk top hits me in the middle of the chest. That makes working on a laptop very uncomfortable. My concerns were communicated to the front desk with no results in 24 hours. Next I expressed my concerns to the General Manager and again 24 hours later, no results. I spend a week in this area each month. Next month, I will be staying in another hotel.
Wonderful well managed hotel is our “go to” hotel in the Cincinnati area. Manager George Lloyd is super friendly to all customers. We recently left a suitcase in our room and with one call to George and a little online work on our end it was taken care of and arrived 2 days later at our home in Michigan. George took it to UPS on his way home the day I called. That’s customer service! Thank you George and Hampton Inn Middletowne.
Wow! Where to begin. The staff. The utmost respect to these caring folks. As my vacation was cut short to an untimely hospital visit for myself. They went above the call of duty to make sure my family was well taken care of. I cant thank them enough for what they did for us. Newer and very clean hotel. Amongst great amenities. Anyone i know that is going to Kings Island for a few days. Put this place at the top of your list. It might me a few minutes farther away but you wont get any greater service!
Amanda Davis no doubt goes above and beyond her duty to make sure her guest have the best possible experience while staying here, HANDS DOWN ! The whole staff makes sure that each individual guest has everything they could possibly need at all times. One of, if not the cleanest places Ive ever stayed in! I would strongly recommend this place is the place you want to stay if you are looking for a place to stay in Middletown. I would like to thank these staff members personally. I spoke with a gentleman named Tim who helped me by searching for a reservation I had back in September. About 20 minutes into the phone call, we both realized it was the Delaware, not the Ohio location I stayed at. Tim has excellent patience and customer service, haha.
Well hate to leave but its our last day this has got to be the cleanest and best managed Hampton inn, we love the staff they are great especially yermeil I think (aka) princess she help me change our reservation earlier in the week shes a great person .loved the stay

2022-02-28A great place to stay. We didn’t want to stop in Dayton or Cincinnati so we split it and stopped here. Beds were comfortable, but pillow started off comfortable then turned uncomfortable. Hard to explain but affected both of us.Room was nice,clean and roomy. Having a gym/workout room was a welcome site as we needed to get a little stuffed in the car energy out. Breakfast was good but could be a little better. Wasn’t anything we would turn away though. When passing through here in the future we will be staying again.

2022-05-11We love staying at Hampton Inn in Middletown when we are going the the Reds games. It’s still close without having to stay in Cincinnati. We have stayed several times and it’s always clean. The only thing I think could be better is the pillows are too soft and there should be a variety of coffee creamers for coffee in the morning. The staff is always so friendly and courteous. It’s close to lots of shopping and nice restaurants. We always feel at home here!

2022-01-03We had a wonderful stay while we visited with our family. The staff were very nice, accommodating and the best customer service we have ever received at hotel stays. The food was good, not the best but when it wasnt that hot, they were there to make sure to warm up the food. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

2022-06-20We had a great stay at this Hampton Inn. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was hot and delicious. Every single employee we came into contact with was very nice. One employee even checked on us while we were eating breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

2022-02-22I did a survey sent by themto my email they requested so I had mentioned having 2 in store purchases charged to my card when I only made one in store purchase so I wake up this morning to an email from a lady named Nicole the Manager so called being nice but then she says, I dont know where you are getting your numbers from just any old numbers So I told her from my bank account transactions the same way I could clearly see she had just reversed one of the charged this morning and if she was emailing to be nice and then rude at the same time she didnt have to email me at all. The evening person during check in was so nice but the morning person the following morning not personable at all makes me wonder if its the same lady who emailed me this morning The room was okay but it wasnt the type of room that I reserved or paid for and only thing half way decent for breakfast was the waffles. After this Managers attitude this morning I will look else where when I need a Hotel in the area and I am forwarding the email she sent me to the corporate office showing how she talks to her customers.

2022-06-20Staff is very friendly, and hotel appears newer. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because the hotel floors are very bumpy and not level. In our room, the floor arches so bad the tiles are coming up. Pictures don’t do it justice but it’s bad. This continues in the hallway on the entire floor. Would probably stay again, but not sure.

There was a plethora of a previous guests hair in the shower, floors were sticky and carpets are dirty and also sticky (my shoes were sticking to the carpet like Velcro) & there were at least two roaches in the room (those are the ones I saw, no telling how many more there were that I didn’t see) .. overall would not recommend

2022-03-19We do not recommend this hotel. Room service was requested 3 days with first 2 days no room cleaning. Third day trash was taken out and towels provided—beds not made, no sweeping/vacuuming/mopping, soap/shampoo not replaced, dirty washcloth left in tub—not clean.Woke up at 7 and 7:20 am 3rd day by neighboring room’s alarm clock. Called front desk but no action on their part. I knocked 2 times on neighbor door. Front desk angrily told me I shouldn’t do that later in day.We used Friend and Family rate in error (we were told by friend it was ok), but found out it was not ok. Hotel manager increased our room rate by $40 without notification and locked us out of room while we were sightseeing. We were told of room rate change at 6 pm. My cell phone was not called to allow us to decide to continue stay at new rate or check out. We decided to check out and we’re charged a “day use” rate even though there was no notice and room had been locked. We tried to work with hotel but they have our credit card info and charged us the extra $150.Highly recommend avoiding this unscrupulous dirty hotel.

2022-05-25I loved that is right across from a Walmart, save me so much gas. Didnt use the room service at all dont know if it is good Im sure it is. My room was clean bed and all.
