Positive: I like the Hilton line never had a bad stay up to now. Negative: I showered immediately after check in there was no hot water. I reported this and was told maintenance was repairing it. The next day upon checkout there still was no hot water. No compensation or reimbursement was offered. Extremely dissatisfied.
My husband checked into this hotel and had to leave because of how disgustingly nasty it was. He told the front desk and showed the pictures of why he couldn’t stay. The manager was supposed to follow up with him the next day and didn’t so he called back and followed up. They told him the manager would call him once they got in. The manager still never called. So, I followed up again on Wednesday or Thursday and spoke with the manager and she said she would look into it and call me back and still hasn’t. They were supposed to be following up because we are diamond members with Hilton and was still charged for this nastiness. Very unprofessional and very unclean place. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody.
I was eaten alive by bed bugs. Toilet paper roll was near empty, no one was at the counter when I arrived and no one was at the counter around 11:00 pm when I was looking for snacks. Worst management in hotel industry history. Lastly no one reached out to me after my complaint
Bed bugs, no hair dryer or coffee maker upon arrival. No functional equipment in the gym. One half broken bike, a broken treadmill and a yoga ball. Elevator not in service. Sink clogged in the bathroom. The funny thing is, I was going to give a decent review because the employees were courteous but one thing after another, the bed bug bites, just the icing on cake...
Nearly every amenity is out of order. Front desk uninterested in solving problems. Rooms in need of a thorough cleaning, pillows on bed completely deflated, strange people just sitting out in parking lot all night in their vehicle. No breakfast was offered, they claimed truck didnt show up. Didnt offer anything to help situation, family was very disappointed. Might be the nail in the coffin for Hilton hotels as far as were concerned.
I was hoping for a 3 start hotel experience, however I got a bad experience at this place and recommend everyone to find another place that step up to the clamed rating. would rate this as 1 star at best. Buildings old, bathroom wall has falling parts, sound of dripping water, no room service. The lady at the front desk clearly wasnt interested in being welcoming nor helpful, and seems like management doesnt care about receiving feedback. This definitely was a bummer.
We stayed on Sept 17, 2021. I would be hard pressed to rate this as a 3 star hotel, 2 at best. The elevator was not working well, very jerky and did not stop level with the floor. We did not have wash cloths in the room. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty. I used a towel and water to wipe up the floor since we got in late, the towel was gross. The carpets were dirty and stained. The cabinet door in front of the refrigerator was loose. The screws were loose on the safety latch on the room door. The parking lot light shined directly in the window, and we could not close the curtains to block it, luckly we had some clothes pins with us and pulled the curtains over.On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good, the person working the breakfast was working hard to make it good.
This hotel was ok. The elevator didn’t work and they put me up on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was ok they sliced wieners, hash browns like McDonald’s have and small cheese omelette but at least the coffee was good. The laundry room was not working, and the evening person has no personality, I felt like I was intruding on them but o well my room was nice but if your going to stay here I would call them first to see if everything was working before giving out over 100$ a night
Elevator has been down for months. And so I gave up my king suite to go to a lower floor. Since I had to take the stairs, having bad knees. The heater in my room was so loud I just went without it, and shivered all night. Would not plan to stay there again. Stay is for work. Asking for a different hotel in the future.
Positive: My family and I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. We also liked the hot breakfast that was served and the variety they had. Negative: Not the hotel but getting to it. Maybe because it was midnight when we checked in. It was hard to see the little road that we needed to turn on to get to the front door.
Customer service was not good, they did not honor my reservation for the price I was given and then I was charged more. The room was not very clean, it had spider webs and knats in the room and we could not get clean towels when we requested them. I dont recommend staying at this hotel. The only good thing was the breakfast.
I would not recommend this hotel. Sticky bathroom floors, mold in the shower, stained abs dirty carpet, cracks in the walls and water damage on the bathroom ceiling, toothpaste speckles on the bathroom mirror abs dirt around the edges of the room. A family members room had the outside pane of the window cracked with six inches or more of water in between the panes. The dining area had really dirty cloth chairs, and the food looked decent but didn’t taste the best. The area also isn’t the greatest. We were glad that the hotel staff took care of things, but the police did show up while we were there to escort someone out of the hotel. It’s not located in the best area. Positives were that the beds looked clean and there were nice, Amana air conditioners. I gave the hotel two stars because the staff seemed nice and we didn’t see any bugs.
Older property that is definitely showing its age. Room was clean but missing essential items; I had to go to the desk to ask for toilet paper and clerk did not seem surprised nor did she apologize for the inconvenience. Smoke detector in room was completely missing - just an open electrical junction box in the wall. That caused us to question whether the company was maintaining other safety systems (alarm sprinklers, etc.) properly. When I informed clerk at front desk about the smoke detector, she clearly didnt care; she told me to take one of the General Managers business cards and send him a letter. We had planned to stay at the same hotel on our return trip but have since cancelled the reservation.
Staff is excellent but hotel is average. Had issues with reservation due to Hilton website (not staff fault). Picked room on app, requested digital key, but on check in nothing had been forwarded to hotel so no digital key and not the room I picked. Staff bent over backwards to try to fix Hiltons issues. Breakfast is covid acceptable--no hot foods, only cereal. Not even lids for coffee.
Room was very dirty. Carpet was stained badly. There were hairs on the wall of the bathroom. Three of them. A condom squeezed behind the mirror in the bathroom. And the television didnt work. I would have switched rooms but my son i already fell asleep and it was too late to do that as I was tired also. On top of all that the Sheets Were scratchy. Ive never been to a bad Hampton Inn. This was the first.
Hilton should be ashamed this hotel is branded as a Hampton Inn. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and nice. However, that was the ONLY good experience. The rooms were not clean, one room we booked was not even ready at 10 PM. They gave us another room and the new room had a horrible odor that was headache inducing, dirt on the bed spread, and it appeared as if someone laid in the bed after it was made. The elevator seemed like it could die and drop you to the ground at any time. The halls were filled with garbage all over the floor. Absolutely a disgrace to the Hampton Inn brand. As loyal Hampton/Hilton guests, we were almost dumbfounded that we ended up in a hotel that seemed so far below their standards. We decided not to stay and booked another Hampton Inn an hour away.
We booked 3 rooms on our trip home from St. Louis. There was evidence that the rooms had been cleaned, but they could have been cleaned much better. Also, the carpet in our room was quite damp. It didn’t appear to be a spill, but rather from a carpet cleaner. I didn’t report it because our other 2 rooms also had damp carpet. Our room really needed some TLC and updating. I would not stay here again.
This is a great hotel. Everything was nice when we arrived. Clean room. AC works really really well. Plenty of outlets for all of our chargers. Beds were nice with clean sheets and comfy comforters. Woke up in the morning and went down to have a great breakfast. They had scrambled eggs and sausage. A lot of hotels are doing the bag breakfast during Covid. They had bagels cereal outmeal and little cinnamon rolls. I highly recommend this place it was at a great price to. The customer service was nice. As we are checking out they are cleaning the rooms and everyone is sooo nice.
We have stayed at many Hampton Inn’s over the years and this by far is one of the worst. The staff was friendly and cooperative when we had many issues though. The first room we received smelled musty and the carpets were wet. The 2nd room the smell was better but the carpet was wet and the sheets and comforters were filthy with stains and dirt all over. The third room was better but the carpets were still damp and the bathroom floor was dirty. They said they shampooed all of the carpets but our feet were black after walking on the carpet from the room to the bathroom. Overall, I would not recommend staying here at this time.
Hotel was loud and dirty. We got 2 rooms, both the fridge was broken in. One of our rooms didnt have clean seal on door. Breakfast grab and go options were very poor. I understand with Covid there are restrictions, but there were only plain bagels and yogurt. At least offer a variety of cold packaged foods!
Ok, but not up to Hilton/Hampton standards. I really dislike black mold/mildew spots on tub caulk. The shower walls had water residue.Other cleaning adequate.Evening hostess wonderful. Morning clerk was a grump.Pay attention getting to it; its right behind Red Lobster.Btw, Red Lobster was below Red Lobster standards.
Unfortanetly, my experience wasnt too great. First my keys werent keyed properly so that I was holding my suitcase, purse, food bag and canvas bag and couldnt get in the side door. Had to go get keyed for my room again walking back to front doors/ registration desk, then when I finally got in my room noticed lint all over hardwood floor and food crumbs (couple large) on the carpet, no kleenex. There was something black in the sink and the lip of the sink had brown crusty mold(?) under it. The light over the sink went out and when I sat down to eat little ants started marching across the desk. So... surprisingly, not great. Dont know if Covid issues are partly to blame or not
This place is in the middle of abandoned businesses. There are crack users, abandoned vehicles, and mattresses in the entrance. There was a filthy young man in the parking lot in an untagged car watching vehicles coming into the property. The lobby was filthy. I have never seen a Hampton Inn this bad. This place is filthy, and it is in a dangerous area. Please don’t stay here. Hampton Inn should be ashamed of this hotel.
This property should be closed. If negative stars could be given, I would rate as less than 1. My best advice to anyone thinking of staying here is, find another property. Between the bugs, the room amenities not working (tv, fridge, phone) and guests being allowed to disrupt the peace with a party bet midnight and 3am.... this property will have you running for the exits.
Save your money and stay anywhere other than this place. The customer service is minimal and of poor quality. The rooms are full of filthy furniture, missing items and perfume to cover the filth. Rude staff and cops showing up in force are what you can look forward to if you stay here.
Of all my stays over the years in Hampton Inn, this was my worst experience ever and Ive stayed at a bunch! First, the hotel was dirty, the front desk person was very rude and they were not helpful. After checking in, the hot water would not work in our room and the air conditioning was leaking and there ended up being a puddle of water on our belongings from it. They moved us rooms, but the air conditioner wasnt working in it. We then moved again and once again no hot water and the air conditioner was broke. We did this run around from room to room for over an hour. There was only one worker and he didnt know what to do. They did not have any other rooms and we had to go to another hotel. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HAMPTON INN!
If you make the reservation on your hilton honors account for another individual, make sure to use your name. Otherwise you cant check them in. Do not accept the room without checking cleanliness. The room we had was dirty. If you have someone picking you up in the morning make sure to use your cell number, as the hotel will NOT ring the persons room to tell them you are there. Avoid this property like the plague.
Checked in on the app and chose a room on the top floor way away from the elevator. When I got there the app said my room wasnt ready and to check in at the counter, no one was behind the counter, a line formed behind me before I finally called the front desk. She came out and told me she was trying to finish something so she could leave. I told her I have an early flight and the app made me stop at the desk. She gave me a first floor room literally right beside the front desk, the bathrooms, the utility area, and it looked out to the area where people pull up and unload. The worst room in the place. She was very rude as well. Didnt sleep at all, Im pretty sure the rooms above me were hosting a clog dancing competition all night. There was a dog barking in the lobby at 2:30 am. And I got to hear everyone unload their luggage with their stereos cranked up.
Not a great experience - two main concerns: minimal COVID safety among guests and unreliable warm water!COVID - while I hope the hotel staff followed all the promised precautions, there was no attempt to ensure guests did the same. In the dining room and in the elevators, we did not see a single other guest with a mask on, and felt very uncomfortable.Water - hopefully just a one-off problem, but we ran the water in our shower for 15+ mins and it never got warm. We called the front desk, they mentioned they were having circulation issues and we should keep trying. It eventually got up to lukewarm, but 10 mins into our shower it once again turned ice cold and never recovered. The stars come from: otherwise nice rooms, with microwaves and comfortable beds & convenient location on the highway.
Positive: Nothing.. Negative: Found roach in bathroom, blood stains on curtains, strong smell of Weed, plus someone asking/looking for money and/or drugs in parking lot. Walls very thin. 2 of 3 ice machines not working. Graffiti in Elevator. Just A SHADY AREA Would NEVER RECOMMEND.
The customer service was astonishing. Front desk and house keeping is amazing. Breakfast is bomb. The room size is spectacular. Comfortable. They have great accommodations such as microwaves, fridges, ironing boards, iron and more. Very welcoming. Cleanliness is outstanding. Clean pool. We will be visiting again for a trip in July.
The room was nothing like the picture. I booked a room with a whirlpool tub in it and it did not have one. There was a long hair in the lotion on the bathroom sink. Pool was extremely cold and was unable to get in. I wanted to order Chinese food and have it delivered. Hotel was too far away to be delivered by the top 5 closest restaurants. I decided to check out the vending machine and bought a candy bar. It was very old and inedible. Overall not a good value at all for what I paid. I would do better getting a motel for half the price.
Reservation process for a small group of six, checked and didnt assign correct beds, AC was needed and didnt work, front deso said said that they dont have maintenace on the weekend but we can put you in a room with a king bed ( two big men, I dont think so), then no hot water in the morning and many guests were complaining, and the kicker was no elevator service (another broken system). Stay away.
If i could give them no stars thats what they would get. No hot breakfast. They had to give me a second room due to finding dirty underware and trash in the trash cans they didnt clean the rooms. They have stickers saying room was cleaned in door and they are suppose to be double checked. This is a joke. Then they have emoloyees gathered around ignoring guest and just having a horrible attitude
Its a good hotel, staff is very nice and kind, but the policy is not to do the room cleaning, because the covid 19, so, they dont even enter to take out the trash... At the end I think is better this way, so you can be sure that no one touch your things. Thank you for everything Hampton Inn, I hope to come back some day.
My fiance and I stayed for just one night. I desperately needed a good night sleep after being up more than 23hrs, and I have problems sleeping in strange places sometimes. The room was a perfect temperature, and the bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep and slept like a baby. The hotel was clean and quiet, staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! If were ever in the area again, we will be staying at this Hampton Inn. Thank you for making our experience amazing!
Staff was very rude and judge mental… accused my fiancé and I of stealing and ebony the front desk lady wouldn’t answer ohone falls anen we caught masterbating in the back room of front desk… kept my orefnanr wife and I waiting hour or so and her sister the manager in the mornings covers for her… they ran this place to the ground. It’s a decent hotel but the staff is ignorant uneducated improper and not formal at all… very ratchet, this makes the Hampton look like the motel 6 in my oppinion I’ll never go back after this experience… no towels no and roaches in then rooms at least 3. Ewww!!!
I booked a room on Booking.com and when I got to the hotel, they were full and couldnt honor my reservation. The reason that they get 4 stars is because the lady at the front desk was very, very nice. She even called the other Hampton Inn down the road to see if they would honor the same rate (they wouldnt and I didnt want to pay $50 more). They arent getting 5 stars because her coworker didnt even try to help her and just took off outside. 3 more people came to the front desk while she was on hold with the other Hampton Inn and she had to be on hold and help them while the other dude was off doing who knows what outside - at 10pm. He could have at least said something to her or even looked at me. Even though the reservations got messed up, I was very grateful for her kindness while she dealt with me, especially since I had been driving all weekend and was super tired and a little grumpy.
Staff was friendly and professional at all times. Stayed in room (204) it had little red bugs all over both beds. If it wasnt for something keep biting my feet I wouldnt have known and couldve took it home. They gave me my money back and another room. So sad I wont ever be back.
Positive: Location was 8 minutes from the ballpark. Negative: A huge fight broke out directly in front of my door (218), scared my daughter and I to death. Cops were called and nothing happened because the responsible party denied knowing who was involved. No one came to clean our room or provide fresh towels
This was a quick last minute stop in for me, as I was on my was further south, but having been up for about 18 hours and driving about 5 I decided this was as far as I could go for the day. Room was clean, floor was very squeaky and I agree with one of the other reviews that the walls seemed thin. I was worried that I was keeping people up below me because I came in so late and the floors would creak as I walked around.Garbage truck came about 4AM and was a bit noisy, but thats kinda out of the hotels control.Staff was incredibly friendly, the same person was at the front desk during the 6 hours or so I was there and she was so nice and friendly. Breakfast exceed my expectations, they had a lot of choice, although I only grabbed a bagel and cream cheese.I was worried a little buy a few reviews that mentioned it was in a shady area, but for me I had no issues with anything.I was going to give it 3 stars but the staff alone gave it another star. They went beyond what was necessary and were just incredibly friendly. I cant emphasize them enough.
Booked a (non-smoking) king, they didn’t have a king room available when we arrived so they put us in a double Queen room (smoking) that didn’t have a tv remote, and had mold on the ceiling, drapes, and walls. Also had dirt stains of some sort on both comforters. She was able to switch us to a better room, but claimed it was the only other room available. She also let us know (&we didn’t ask) while we were checking out that the to-go breakfast wouldn’t be available until the next day... lol thanks but we’re checking out?
Old and outdated. In a really bad part of town. AC got stuck on 88 degrees. Called front desk and they said to unplug it which of course did nothing. Front desk said they had no other rooms when parking lot is half empty. Luckily my wife fixed the problem on the AC as the batteries had come loose. Front desk agent offered no other help. This hotel doesnt have 24 hour maintenance? What a clown organization. Very poor customer service. Room was ok but very ancient looking. Bed sucked too.
Worst Hampton Inn weve ever stayed at. Room smelled, broken lamp at desk, faucet in bathroom was so loose, we were afraid to use it. Website showed free hot breakfast. We were informed by the desk clerk he could give us an apple and protein bar but he only had 4 of those. So very disappointed. Definitely would never recommend this hotel.
Front desk staff friendly and accommodating. I felt room prices overpriced for area of town. Only one restaurant in immediate area. Online states you can request a 2pm late checkout but upon checking out told could only get 1 hr late checkout time. Had good business computer with printer. Breakfast good especially the fruit smoothies however had to wait for the egg omelets to be heated up.Staff should be ahead of food before an item runs out. Sausage was not great. Limited fruit. Would love to see scrambled eggs versus these pre-made cheese omelets that many hotels are now offering. Pool not heated - water chilly.
Works up to the 2nd fire alarm after they told us the first time one of the other rooms tenants caught “something” on fire. Thinking the matter would be handled we stay. My self my 4 year old daughter and my 5 year old son. 6am scared to death and panicking, we rush out of the building only to be met at the door by Fire Department with loud sirens and scba and full gear on which was another thing that freaked my kids out. Won’t be going back and will be calling for a portion of my money back.
Overall decent hotel. Easy to find but tucked away and kind of tricky to get to. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. In the room the fixtures had great design and the room was well organized with plenty of power ports (USB and wall) to charge a road warriors collection of electronics. The toiletries in the room were a great collection (its been a long time since I stayed in a room with shower gel samples). After that tough, some details left some to be desired. The floor was dipped in some places, the pillows were tiny and hard, and the beds were extremely soft. I didnt get a chance to try out the breakfast or the gym but Id expect they would be the same you find at other Hampton Inns (the breakfast smelled good at least).
Worst experience ever! Worst hotel staff Ive ever been across!I was UNFORTUNATE enough to stay at this terrible hotel earlier this month. We had several experiences that were, quite frankly, appalling.First off, I called to make sure that we had two queen beds available and was told that the room would be ready. However, when I got there, they told me that all the two queen bed rooms were booked. The next morning, our room was not cleaned despite multiple requests to do so by my wife. We were simply offered some towels when we got back to the hotel instead of service like we had requested. When asked why it wasnt performed, we werent given a proper answer. We left one day early just to avoid being troubled even more.Come to find out that I am being charged for my stay that was supposed to be billed to my employer. I gave my credit card for incidentals only.I called to speak to the general manager and its been over a week and still havent heard back from him. The charges have still not be reversed.WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER! I WOULD HIGHLY DISCOURAGE EVERYONE AGAINST STAYING AT THIS TERRIBLE HOTEL!
Newly renovated hotel, the staff here went above and beyond. The service was absolutely excellent. I would absolutely return to this hotel, and cant recommend it more.Someone went out every morning and cleaned the windshields of all the cars in the parking lot, the rooms were clean, comfortable and well accommodated. Complimentary mints and bottled water awaited us in the room with a flavor packet for the water - it was all the little details that really made this hotel great. Not only that but the prices were very reasonable for the area.
Wonderfully staff, very inviting decor, the front desk person who checked my son and in was so helpful. Our rooms were also done in lovely colors making you feel relaxed and comfortable. The rooms were also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious while the restaurant area was so clean. The attendant was more than helpful and kept herself available at all times. Icant say enough about the hotel even though I only stayed over night.
I booked online thru a 3rd party mainly because my room rate was just about $20 less..Then after unpacking I discovered that my room had no hot water ...However, after calling the front-desk I spoke with a gentleman named Lawrence, and he promptly relocated me to a different room just 2 doors away...GREAT customer service!Mr. T. Wasek
Was hard to find since this is on a service road which a sharp right turn onto the service road. There no place to eat that id close to the hotel except a Red Lobster and several fast food places. The rooms were clean, the staff was super friendly, free breakfast had many differnt selections plus a to go bag with water and cereal bars. Good value for the amount paid and would stay again.
Wasnt their fault that the fire alarm went off. But the place is in line for a major renovation. Doesnt fit todays traveler. Lack of convenient outlets the main reason. Carpets felt nasty on bare feet. AC was also fast or famine. Finally they are a covid victim. Very meager amenities because of it.
Nice place. The front desk night person was very nice. In the morning though at breakfast an older woman screamed at me for picking up a muffin with my hand though I had the tongs IN MY HAND and it couldnt be reached with the utensil. I mean screamed at me. I felt like I was a three year old. I even apologized and explained and she just huffed away. Thats some bad customer service right there! Especially since she was serving food with no gloves on.
I think this place needs to be hiring for front desk staff. It took me nearly 10 minutes to get checked in because I had to wait for someone to come to the desk. I actually stood at the front desk and called the front desk until somebody showed up. This happened twice during my stay. The second time, the guy came from upstairs somewhere, hair disheveled, talking about Oh, my bad... Really, folks? I dont think I will be wasting my money here again.
Front desk staff are wonderful!! Very accommodating. The rooms were clean and a nice size. The bathrooms had toiletries that you can truly appreciate (the mouthwash quality bodywash etc) plus the beds were super comfy...I took advantage of the onsite work out facility. It was small but it got the job done...There were alot of options for breakfast and overall I enjoyed my stay...No Complaints and I will definitely be back.
Location was just right. The room was clean and well decorated. It had everything you might need, for a day or a week. The decor was modern and had enough available outlets for charging your electronics. Breakfast was great, had a hot option and it wasnt just cereal and pastries. There were omlettes with peppers and meat, sausage, potatoes and fruit. Every thing was delicious. My only complaint is that the lights seemed really dim at all points of the day in the main hallway.
Do not stay at this hotel anytime soon. We were not prepared for the extensive renovations that were going on. Saturday morning we were woken up to drilling in the hallway at 7:45 AM. Then Sunday morning they were pounding on the otherside of our bedroom wall so hard that our headboard was shaking, so that was another early and quite frankly, scary way to wake up. We definitely could not sleep in with all of the craziness going on. Also, you can’t use the swimming pool at all because that is being renovated too. The staff is nice for the most part though, which was one if the better aspects of this hotel. If you are looking for a good night’s sleep, book elsewhere.
I will never stay at this hotel again. It is located in a terrible spot because it is not near many restaurants and it isnt the safest area. The person that was a roomed next to me was basically my roommate because of how thin the door was that separated our rooms. I heard everything he said or and/or did. The thermostat in the room was not accurate. I had to set it to 60 degrees for it to feel like 70. The last night I didnt sleep because of someone walking and talking very loudly outside my door. I dont recommend this hotel.
Front parking lot was blocked off due to construction on building, so I had to park in the back lot. Back door was locked so I had to drag suitcase & laptop around the building to the front entrance. Asked the front desk clerk why they have the back door locked if the front parking lot is closed. She said “You need a room key to open it.”. I said “How can I do that if I haven’t checked in yet???”. Her response was “I don’t make the rules.”. A better response would have been “Sorry for the inconvenience” or simply “I’m sorry.” Construction work stops at 8:00pm but Mr. Construction Worker decided to blast his car radio with heavy bass right outside my window until close to 9:00pm. Actually had to turn my TV up to hear the show I was trying to watch. On a brighter note, the breakfast was good & the lady working the breakfast area was sweet. Friendly workers at the desk in the morning. Unfortunately, as I saw in a previous review, they did not charge the company credit card. They charged my personal card, that was for incidentals only, for the entire amount. First & last visit to this establishment.
I was here 4 years ago and would have rated as a 4.5 stars. Today it barely makes 2 stars. Door to room was hung incorrectly and was very hard to close. The sink counter made it hard to close the bathroom door. Light above sink was out. Elevator was not working properly. Pool was too cold to swim in. There were stains on floor and comforter. Not anything gross but noticeable. Breakfast was lackluster but eatable. It appears that some renovations are being attended. However, based on illfitted doors and paint splatters it seem that they are not being completed by very knowledgeable or professional people.
This is not the best Hampton Inn I have stayed at. The worst thing was one of the double beds was so creaky that you could not move without the noise waking you up. I have never slept in such a noisy bed. I would have brought it to the front desks attention but I had to leave early because of family illness. I still had to pay for the last night we had reserved. If youre gonna keep my money, then take my advice along with the money and fix your broken down bed!
Hotel was under renovations, so didnt look like much from the outside, with building materials scattered throughout the parking lot, not a great first impression. Location is tucked away from the road and area in general is not the nicest. Rooms were clean, but small.. exercise room was limiting, with only an exercise bike and treadmill, no elipitical. Breakfast was mediocre. The OJ did not taste like juice. Overall one of the weakest Hilton locations I have ever visited. Hotel staff was friendly.
Called to book a hotel for the next day. A few hours later, travel plans changed. Called the hotel and asked hey, if I cancel this, will I still be charged? They said no. A month later, I see it on my bill and call to ask for it to be removed, and the manager laughs at me. Im the manager, and no, we wont be refunding your money. Laughs at me, yells at me, talks over me. No, you cant speak to my boss, Im the boss, says Dawn. Filed a report with her manager, same response. Technically, it isnt legal to tell someone you arent going to charge their card and do it. Also the rudeness was unlike Ive ever experienced in hospitality. No thank you. If thats how they treat people who arent even staying there, cant image how they treat guests.
The hotels sign is unlit and not visible from westbound Interstate 70, (although its close and we could hear the traffic on the interstate from our room). The hotel is hidden away behind a self-storage facility and a Red Lobster. At first I thought the hotel had been taken over by another chain whose sign is very visible. The room was not clean. The sheets on one of the two beds had very obviously not been changed since the last guest and the bathroom had an odor of urine. Duvet cover on the other bed had lipstick stain. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn breakfast - pretty good - but otherwise the hotel was not up to Hampton standards.
The hotel took our large party on a last minute overlook. A couple softball teams. They never told us the pool was down for over half of our stay. This was the one and only thing our team asked to have. Desk was kind. Dont think it was a great area but easy access to highway.
Great helpful staff. The only problem there were kid running up and down the hall all night knocking on each others doors being very loud. The front desk called each room on the floor and personally apologized. Other than that it was a very nice and clean hotel with very comfortable beds.
Service and staff at the hotel was great. The rooms have been remodeled from a former room design. Not as trendy as other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. Unless you are looking for a wow factor from your hotels this Hampton Inn is clean, welcoming, comfortable, and reasonably priced.
Not a good expeience. It did not live up to the standards and quality of the larger Hampton Inn Hotels. The room was a mess; something pink was smeared on the bathroom door, the bedskirt was big and dragging on the floor, as if it were a queen size skirt on a double bed, the bedskirt and comforters were wrinkled and washed out, the fitted sheets were too small so I had to keep putting it back on the mattress, and the mattress wouldnt stay on the box spring; I had to keep pulling it back in place. It was not a pleasant experience at all. Very disappointed.
Do not stay here. I travel for work and always stay at Hampton, I love them! Usually clean and in a good area. Not this one. It is dirty, old, smelly, outdated, and in a really creepy location. Everything in the surrounding area is closed down leaving rundown, empty stores everywhere with lots of dark, deserted lots. The only thing you will find to eat is fast-food, and even that is limited. The beds are old, and the decor is mismatched, stained, and ugly. I feel stressed staying here, not comfortable and safe as I should (this is especially important for ladies traveling solo to keep in mind). I usually only give good reviews, but I feel that I need to warn my fellow road warriors on this one. The staff is nice, but thats about it. I would definitely not stay here again. Oh, and the pretty photos the hotel has posted are not realistic, not even close! Hope this helps!
Dawn at the front desk greeted my wife and i on checking in. Super nice girl told us if we needed anything let her know. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Room is really clean and well make sure when we are back in the Columbus area to spend our 34 hour reset here. Thank you so much. Update 12/7/2018. Amazing breakfast. The best breakfast ive ever been served at a stay like this away from home. You can taste the pride that comes from the staffs hard work that went into this friday morning breakfast . much appreciated
Hilton honors member and given the noisiest room in the hotel. They couldn’t even find my reservation upon arrival Luckily I did online check in but was assigned worst room without an option to change Since they don’t have my reservation they can’t change room. Had to use digital key since they don’t even know I am here. Front desk did not even direct me to the elevator. Gaps at the door so adds to noise from street. Never again 😡
DO NOT GO HERE! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. SHOULDNT BE A HILTON. I am HONORS. My reservation was cancelled WITHOUT TELLING ME. I showed up on a rainy night to be told my reservation was cancelled and I was turned away. They said the only rooms they had were taken out of order for BED BUGS! According to HILTON, I should have been walked to another Hilton Hotel. When I requested this, I was told No and turned away again. I submitted a complaint. Its been a MONTH the MANAGER has yet to get back to me. DO NOT GO HERE! They should have their Hilton title removed. This is a disgrace to the brand.
They were nice enough to room us early without extra charge....room was o.k. there was a q-tip stuck in the toilet & a discarded water bottle on the floor...it was quiet...breakfast was good enough..some of the staff were very friendly. Elevator quit working on the 2nd night of our stay and we were roomed in the 3rd floor...
The rooms were more than adequate for the lower price when compared to other similar hotels in the same area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good, but about what you would expect from a free breakfast. I only stayed one night, and I will definitely have this hotel at the top of my list if I happen to be passing through Columbus again in the near future.
The lady at the front desk was amazing I was over 5 hours late getting in there so I didnt get into that morning and instead of making me check out at 11:00 she canceled and refunded my room and still let me check in at 7:00 that morning and didnt have to check out the next day and didnt charge nothing extra very very nice place very nice people
Well we paid the room in full when we made the reservation, we didnt understand why the woman at the desk needed to see his credit card when the room was already paid for, the room look was ok. But the TV was very small, the coffee pot was broken, the bed was very uncomfortable, the fire alarm went off in the early morning ( false ) waking everyone up, no one called us or knocked on our door to tell us it was a false alarm we had to go see for ourselves. The only thing we did like was the water pressure in the shower. Well we wont be staying here again.
I gave this place one star because their beds are scrappy and they dont keep their rooms very clean at all!!! Heck they locked us out of our room at 8:00 and we were supposed to check out at 11:00!!! Im so disappointed in this hampton!!! The quality of this place is like a supper eight!! Dont go here if you dont want to wast your money!!! The bed isnt soft at all!!! Its very firm and its hard to get any sleep!!!
Horrible location, Horrible management, Horrible staff!!! 1 star for the 1 person that was helpful & friendly which was the breakfast associate. Rooms were dirty bed looked like someone had just slept in it. They switched my room 4 times I could go on and on never will stay there again. Housekeeping had major attitude smh ok I’m done.
OK stay if you cant find any other Hilton chains with a room in Southeast Columbus. It just had renovations done a couple months ago. I hope it isnt completely finished. There are a few items that need some attention in all the rooms Ive stayed in. Not much for restaurant on the exit either. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.
Typical Hampton It is visible from the road. I only saw the lobby and small conference room. Lobby was comfortable, but small. They had a computer and desk area located in the same space. There was a sign saying breakfast was offered in the mornings. The location is reasonably close to the airport and Magic Mountain entertainment. There isnt much else of traveling interests in the area unless youre visiting family. Seems OK for smaller meetings.
A hidden gem... mostly because it lacks signage, and Google maps is no help in pinpointing it! You have to turn in at Red Lobster and take a service road parallel to the street back towards Interstate 70.Pool is small, 4ft deep and maybe 10x12.No bathroom vent fan...ok, thats all the negatives.Delightful rooms, lots of charging plugs built in, and rollout shelves.Super comfy beds! Lotsa tv channels.Great, accommodating staff with sense of humor intact.Great free hot breakfast.
So check in was not a issue the issue started at.6am when I was awake due to kids yelling in the pool got worse the room they moved me to had poop on the bathroom floor the a.c. didt work the fridge stayed like warm just like the shower gets way worse me and my husband decided to go swim we jumped I the pool and didt notice the poop floating in it and all over the 3ft side wall and stairs we called the front desk and they immediately closed the pool but told Hilton HONORS there was no feceses in the pool as me and my husband sit here with pink eye .....
The lady at the front desk checked in 2 people in front of me around 130 pm then turn around told me that check- in isnt until 3 and had the nerve to pop attitude... my job requires me to travel all over the country and never had i ever had a problem checking in early i drove 6 and half hours from Pennsylvania to Columbus this is nonsense why would you act like that with somebody not from the area... but i see how how diamond members are treated here in Columbus ill be sure not to stay here next time
Nothing special but nothing lacking. Clean hotel, good hot breakfast, comfortable bed, and its quiet. When I start at a hotel I dont care about much other than those things I listed because Im here to sleep, not stay inside all day. Next time Im in Columbus I will return.
I really did not access any employees of the establishment. I merely accessed the lobby and seminar room area. Both were comfortable and well lit. Toward the end I had to compete with others for use of the restroom facilities. The restrooms only service one person at a time.
We are Hampton Inn regulars but this location has some issues: slow to inoperative elevator, only 1 room key issued (limited quantities avl), shower had lukewarm water, dining couches/seating were in need of replacement, couch in our room had a stain on it, athletic room is sub par compared to most Hamptons: no elliptical. Breakfast selections were similar to most other Hamptons but bananas and plain greek yogurt would be welcome. Staff was friendly and courteous.
This hotel has horrible customer service and no communication between employees. We were told we could have a late check out and then we got a knock telling us to check out because they didnt have it in there notes. Wouldnt be as bad but I have neck and back injuries and was in pain so there was no way I could rush out. Never again will I stay at this hotel.
Dirty hallways. Cheerio on the floor in my bathroom. At midnight kids were still runnning the hall and having a pizza party outside my room. Called the front desk and he said hed just been up on my floor and heard nothing! Also loud conversations from group of people under my window. Definitely will never stay here again and I do not recommend it.
For being cleaned for my safety the room was pretty dirty.. Crumbs on table, stains on walls, change under skirting, someones hair in the bedding, hot water didnt work but maybe 5 minutes the first night and ice cold the second... And what really grossed me out, I was using the bathroom and noticed someones toe nails under the sink behind the trashcan.
My favorite stopover point in the Columbus area, Ive stayed in this hotel as a single and with my family at least 15 times in the past 15 years. Its in a nice location, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, and always a clean facility. The staff members are exceptional, and couldnt give you a single complaint about this hotel.
I went to the Hampton Inn Columbus, Ohio I-70E S.Hamilton Rd 10/1/2017 around 1:30am-2:00am to get a room for me and my 6 year old son. The front desk person swiped my credit card then asked for a $200 cash deposit because I live in town . People that live in town policy. I didnt have $200 cash so I left. Three days later $175.08 charge was deducted out of my bank account. I called the manager, Dennis ONeil, 10/4/2017 and 10/5/2017 and was told that the charge would fall off and the money would be credited back to my account within 72 hours. 10/12/2017 I put in a fraudulent dispute with my bank because the money was never credited back to my account...DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!!
Worse stay ever at a Hampton Inn. Loud guests arguing, standing in the halls visiting. Guests directly above us had a child that was jumping and running loudly around room until after midnight....finally went to sleep and the fire alarm went off...got past that and it went off a second time.
Requires cash deposit, no credit card deposit. No atm on site, was advised by manager to go to gas station in bad area to withdraw cash. This is a franchise, not Hilton owned. Half the staff speaks little or no english, has neck tattoos, etc. Most unprofessional staff. When I asked for a recipt for the $200 cash deposit, manager said no. Are you kidding me?
Worst hotel stay of mine and multiple family memebers life. I travel from outer banks nc to treat osu medically for my cancer and am terminal. Has my truck broken into everything stolen and lied to and charged for a room while a empkoyee should have been watching cameras at all times and help me. Im a former director of salea before cancer for hilton and wull be getting ahold of corprate and salt reviews asap. Please let me know if u can find it in yoy to do ur job and what the customer pays for and your word aa a hotel instead i am suffering due to no one being trained properlt either as two state trucks were busted into too but told me it never happens and refused to help. Worst expierience ever

2022-03-04The hotel itself is about to undergo renovations, from what I understand, but the service here was amazing. I appreciate what they’re trying to do with a tough deck of cards. That’s what matters to a Hilton Gold member. If I’m ever in Columbus again, this will be my home away from home.

2022-06-11Clean, courteous and friendly staff!!! Sunshine does an EXCELLENT job and is a VERY dedicated and hard working individual!!! People like her get you reviews like this!I was leary as I had read several reviews before I booked this for my daughter for her graduation from the Home School Academy she attended. So I checked it out and I will be staying there this fall for an event in the area that I am attending. The negative reviews are unfounded! I own a Commercial Cleaning business and I found NOTHING wrong with this wonderful venue!!!

2022-06-05Truly surprised at the poor condition of this property! Ive been a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at Hampton Inns for many years and have never experienced one like this. Overflowing trash, cigarette burns in the carpet and furniture, curtains falling down and an elevator that was extremely shaky. The bright spot was the helpful and friendly staff.

2022-01-12I stayed here during my Army drill. Absolutely awful experience. Wound up with bed bug bites all over. Miserable. Still recovering with prednisone and topical cream. I told the front desk the day that I checked out that I wanted a full refund and asked her to have the manager call me. She never did. I called the following day, was told the manger was in a meeting, would call back later. Never did. I called the day after that, the manager again was unavailable, no call back. I finally gave up and contacted my bank today to initiate an investigation into the charge on my credit card.A few other issues - broken elevator, the gym was about the size of a walk in closet, consisted of a broken bike, broken treadmill and a yoga ball. I I didnt dare go near the poor area. Dirty carpet, no hairdryer, no coffee maker (had to request them from customer services), heater wasnt plugged in and the room was about 60 degrees. Took me forever to find the outlet which was hidden underneath the heater behind a carpeted wall/barrier.I am beyond disappointed, angry and itchy to the point where I want to scrape my skin off with a brillow pad. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.

2022-05-28Not clean.. especially the bathtub. It is yellowed and has a dirty ring at ok under it. Unfortunately, its probably the worst Hampton weve stayed in. The beds are comfy and the air conditioner works, but other than that, not much good to say.

2022-06-17I would NOT recommend staying at this location. Hotel seemed to not have any management within the hotel. Facility was not cleaned whatsoever and full facility had very little A/C. First room I stayed in was not cleaned and when I received the second room It was not really clean either. During the night I had someone beating on my room door hollering “the hotel is flooding” for a water leak. The elevator sounded like it was about to break. The following morning I asked for points or a refund for my horrible experience and I received a “I’m sorry, have a nice day”. Never staying here again,

2022-06-03With construction in the area, the road to this location was literally closed. Even without Construction in the area, it would have been difficult to find as well. However the hotel itself was clean and provided a comfortable room to stay in for the night. It was also very easy to get back on the main highway from this location.

2022-03-21I specifically booked this hotel after driving 8 hrs I was looking forward to use of the hotel because of chronic pain. Only to arrive to learn the pool was broken. It was listed as open on booking.com. The manager exained booking.cm hadnt updated this fact and apologized. I did however enjoy my very large spacious super clean room. The breakfast spread was above and beyond a continental spread.

2022-04-09Two things right up front, the young gentlemen at the service desk on the evening of 4/7/2022 was an outstanding representative. I really hope the best for him and his career.Second, these pictures on Google cannot be the same Hampton! I had a totally different experience. There is no way these 5 star reviews are real. One is the only review they’ve ever written…mmm Greg.Very dated and dingy to say the least just as you are walking in. Door key reader didn’t work. Service desk rep got us in, and I noticed the door doesn’t close on its own. So ensure you force it shut.None of the lights in the bathroom worked. I robbed a light from the foyer to get one to work, however the ballast above the sink was a fluorescent long tube, so couldn’t fix that.Floors were heavily stained in the bedroom and peeling up in the bathroom. Hair in the bathtub and shower curtain.None of the outlets will hold electrical plugs. One lamp didn’t even have a plug for it, so I moved it across the room and its plug wouldn’t stay in the outlet, not even the slightest.Wall mounted bed lamps lights were two completely different colors, not a big deal, but interesting. With this sort of lacking to detail, I simply just didn’t trust the beds to be properly cleaned. Especially traveling with my 4 year old daughters. I couldn’t even let her play on the floor. That’s how gross it was. Under one mattress protector there was grass. Again, no biggy, just weird.Elevator… heck no. This thing jittered and stuttered heavily. Paused between the floors, door started to open then shut, the car moved up about 2 feet I’m guessing then opened, after heavy shaking. There’s only the one elevator. Reading prior reviews, there’s seems to be a trend. Service frustratingly shared that they’ve reported it several times, but the company says it’s fine. Ya, no it’s not.We ended up just checking right back out. The rep was very understanding and didn’t give us any grief for it.If the price matched the value of the room I could give another star, but for nearly the same price, 5 miles away we stayed at a brand new Tru. So the default star I guess goes to the customer service. I wouldn’t stay here until this place is thoroughly rehabbed. I’ve stayed in 60 year old army barracks that were much cleaner and functional. And this isn’t against the hotel, but foot traffic outside was suspect, people in their cars from the time I got there til the time I left an hour later. The hotel sits next to railroad tracks and a large field of fema trailers that clearly are not livable. Nothing the hotel can do about that, just understand the part of town you’re in.
