Very friendly staff, they were able to get me checked in early. Breakfast was included with my rate and was decent. Overall the room was pretty clean except for the desk, I moved the tray with the ice bucket and the desk top was sticky indicating it was cleaned around and the ice bucket wasn’t moved to clean under.
I had an amazing stay. All the staff was welcoming and I enjoyed the chats. Mina and Sol were amazing by getting me a late checkout and even offered to keep my bags safe until later that evening when I was scheduled to leave. I would stay there again next time I’m in town.
Positive: The view out the window was wonderful. The reception staff and the cookies were great. Negative: THERE IS NO PARKING AND NO WARNING THAT YOU CANNOT PARK ANYWHERE NEAR THE HOTEL WITHOUT PAYING A FAIRLY HEFTY PRICE. The vallet service was full all three times we tried to get in after calling twice to ask about the service and for help getting service.
Generally a good stay, but last customers pizza was still in our fridge when we got to our room, there was no coffee maker packages other than DE-caffeinated, and black hairs were stuck to toilet bowl rim when you lift the seat. Tried to talk to front desk but she was alone and on the phone with involved customer situation so she couldnt attend to anything else. Not her fault, lack of staffing. A homeless or distressed person parked themselves on the floor in the lobby in front of the check in desk and had to be removed by police while we were waiting, despite the security doors. I am sure the staff work hard to do well, but a lot of loose ends and rough edges.
Horrific. Front desk staff was on a sadistic power trip, enjoying making life difficult. After that when I tripped and fell due to their negligence with a rug, she was nasty about and blamed me for tripping. Didnt offer any assistance at all. Ive never been treated so poorly by a hotel in my life. Not just rude but cruel. Instead of a comfortable place to stay I got a trip to the ER, insulted, probably knee surgery. And no sleep and no refund even though I had to go to the hospital instead of going to bed.
Pretty pricey for a very mediocre room. No refrigerator and ice machine every other floor? The door didnt keep out much noise from the hallway and they dont even have a brochure in the room telling you the TV stations or local amenities. I would spend a few more dollars next time and get a much nicer room nearby
Positive: The room was clean. The bed was fine. Negative: The woman at check-in was not accommodating for a 5 minute late check out request nor was she able to check me in 40 minutes earlier on a Sunday night. I could have been notified about the jackhammers that started at 7:30am outside my window.
I stayed 4 days. Position was convenient to visit Cleveland center and lake front on feet. Room was spacious and well furnished. Bathroom was large with all personal cleaning necesities.Bed was double with comfortable matress. Cleaning was offered only under request. This was not made clear while checking in. Personel was polite and very assisting. Breakfast offered was with limited options but tasty. Small food selling booth next to reception was a much convenient option. Church across the road view from my room was a nice reward. Price was nice compared to other options in Cleveland downtown. A snow fall at checking out early in the morning was the bad event to rememer during my stay.
Awful concierge service who were disrespectful, rude, slow, lazy, and overall unhelpful. Briana at the front desk aggressively locked me out of an empty conference room while I was trying to take an important zoom meeting. Her only priority was getting off her shift and leaving unattended guests at the check-in desk. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will absolutely not be coming back.
I didnt feel as welcomed when checking in. Never a thank you for being an honors member, no complimentary water at check in. Just mediocre customer service. Rooms were dated but clean. No ventilation in the bathrooms though so you had to deal with a very foggy mirror to get ready with. Highly unlikely Ill stay again, not worth the price.
Positive: Great location downtown- short walk to public square, casino, basketball stadium, etc- lots of restaurants around. Staff was friendly, room was clean, I cant speak for breakfast as I did not get up in time. I would stay here my next time in Cleveland. Negative: Valet parking was a little steep, I was able to find cheaper parking at a garage a block away from the hotel.
Desk and valet staff were friendly and helpful. Older hotel but basically good for the price and conveniently located. When we got into our room the refrigerator and microwave were on the floor unplugged so we had to move them to an outlet. The floor should’ve been vacuumed better, found a piece of candy, paper clips and other debris. Bathroom seemed clean.
Literally one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had in a very very long time. The rooms are very small, no fridge or microwave, the room colors are dark and gloomy, the window is facing the inside walls of the hotel, the a/c is loud and noisy and it is constantly on, yes it is always on for air circulation purposes. The noise and air hitting my face couldnt let me sleep. I complained, and they couldnt do anything about it. They asked me to come at 7 am to talk to the manager and see if they can find me another room (at 7 am!!). After that horrible stay, I cancelled the upcoming nights, which they (thankfully) accepted. But when I requested a refund for that bad night, they refused, although the person at the front desk saw me sitting in the lobby till 4 or 5 am to get away from that horrible AC noise. It was a nightmare. I usually use other chain of hotels, but after this experience I will make sure I no longer use any of Hiltons subsidiary hotels.
I called and spoke with someone in their reservation department. I asked about a room and was given a price. I accepted the price based on what I understood the woman to say. $119 for the night. I asked her to repeat and that is what I heard. Mind you there is a huge language barrier and both of us spent the better part of 10minutes asking each other to repeat what the other had said.I booked! I immediately received my confirmation with a price closer to $500. I called immediately. The front desk said that is our rate. If youd like to escalate allow us to transfer you to our reservations department. After explaining my situation to another individual with who I again encountered a massive language barrier with I was told that the Front Desk needed to be contacted. The front desk informed us that we cannot cancel because that is their policy. Even after I explained the language barrier and how it was almost impossible to communicate properlyI was then transferred to a higher level of service. After listening to the entire story her first solution is to.... call the front desk! Who of course told her what they told me, and the other lady. They refuse to help. I am stuck paying $500 for what I thought was a $120 hotel room.My company travels a lot. We book hotels at least once a week every week of the year.It really stinks to lose $400 because another corporate company decides to outsource their help creating so much tension and stress on what is supposed to be an easy process.Yet here is am trying to book a simple hotel room and I have to answer the same questions 5-6 times. Repeat myself 5-6 times. Ask to be put on hold for 5-10 minutes at a time. All while trying to make sure you are being charged properly. If this is customer service then the hotel industry is absolutely god awful and shame on us for continuing to support these most elite who could care less about our comfort. Despite the millions, they spend in advertising to tell you differently.
We have stayed at the Hampton Inn Cleveland Downtown on multiple occasions when in the city. The location is close to a bunch of main attractions like the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame (walking distance). You can also park a car in valet for $34 a night. The valets get busy so calling ahead is valuable but they really move and are very friendly. On our last stay, the front desk supervisor (I believe Ashley) checked us in and was friendly and knowledgeable. I accidentally locked myself out of my room late one night (after 11) getting ice and a nice young lady with pretty red glasses working the desk was so kind in helping me get a key to get back into my room and had a great positive attitude and friendly nature during a time I know many hospitality workers are overworked. The room itself was clean and a good size. I appreciated that the shower was nice and hot! I had a great view of the lake and city! As I have said, we have stayed here before and will continue to do so!
The location to amenities was fantastic coma delivery service to the hotel was also fantastic. The valet parking was definitely welcomed as well as my well as my front desk help. Very nice people and very welcoming and very informational. The rooms were exceptionally clean. You could hear road noise and sirens at times but I suppose this is expected from downtown stays. The only thing that I didnt care for is that I had to go to an even floor number to get ice. It would have been more ideal to have an ice machine on every level. If you want ice for your stay ask to be on an even numbered floor. Lol
This hotels location is great. Within walking distance of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, great restaurants and other sights. The valet parking was easy and quite fast. The room was clean and pretty up to date. The breakfast could have been better staffed, but probably doing as good as good as they can considering COVID.
First the negatives. I dont generally like writing negatives but unfortunately there were severalNo extra pillows available? Ive never heard of such a thing. I couldnt get any either nightI asked for housekeeping on Sunday. I asked at 9 am and told them id be back by 5. We got back to the room and .. it wasnt clean. Okay they forgot. Well survive. So we called down and asked why nobody cleaned our room, they apologized. Then we asked for clean towels and they said sure, come down and get them. So you didnt clean my room and cant bring up towels? We have nobody to do that. The floor was damp by the desk not sure whyThe valet was $34 a day. Sounds high but seems standard for Cleveland. There wasnt much room to pull the car up during busy times. I couldnt find any overnight parking near the hotel without the valet so it was fine. It did have in and out privileges and the valet people were pleasant. And we were able to leave the car there until 3 pm on the day we checked out which was a huge plusThe desk people were pleasant despite the fact that they couldnt get my extra pillowsThe location was awesome. 15 minute straight walk to the Rock Hall. We also were walking distance from a murder mystery show we bookedOverall the room was nice. The bathroom was nice, blackout curtains are goodHot breakfast was pretty good. Being able to have fresh waffles daily was nice.
My husband got sick and had to stay at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital for 3 days after our reservation had ended. They managed to extend my stay with a reduced Hospital rate during a sold out weekend of sports and rock and roll induction performance. Incredible service and compassion..I will never forget my stay there and my recommendations to friends and family will always be to this Inn!
Very disappointed with our stay! We came to town for a game and I know with covid things are hard but there is absolutely no excuse to put someone in a room they did not change beding in! Heck give me the clean bedding at check in and Ill do it myself. 40 for parking with no options but to use their service or not ha e access to my car when I need it. Bloody pillow cases covered in men cologne, moldy mildew filled rooms. I booked our room with with the impression we would have a fridge, microwave and it would be non-smoking which was not the case by any means. Oh and not to mention when we checked in the room was nearly $60 more then what I brooked for. Needless to say I will could go on but to sum it up save your money on this one . That extra 60 is better spent anywhere else!
There will be better options in the area around the same price range. Most issues are due to causes outside the hotel’s control, noise pollution being the main issue. Didn’t get any sleep because of sirens and drag racing, also a church across the street which rings bells every 30 minutes. Staff was friendly and the room was fine but I wouldn’t come back because I’d like to sleep when paying for a place to sleep.
Pros: cleanliness of the room.Cons: service wasnt the best; We asked for towels to be sent up the following morning and we had to call the front desk in the morning again to make the request. Bath towels were scratchy and rather thin and small. Air duct vent in bathroom is not clean/dust all up in it. No ventilation in bathroom. Soap dish in bathroom looked kinda gross. Bed is as hard as a brick & uncomfortable. Pillows were extremely flat and also uncomfortable.Probably wouldnt stay here again...
The Hampton Inn in Downtown Cleveland is great location to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Pro Energy Stadium. Loved everything about the hotel but the noise. Was on the 10th floor and could hear street racing and sirens and stereos blaring all night long. Didnt sleep much at all but thats the only complaint Id have. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.
It was great in every way except for the valet parking. It was the persons fault who was working but there is as only one person and the valet was the only one who had access to the keys and because she was busy getting a different vehicle we we almost late for an appointment. The problem could have been eliminated if only the front desk had access to the keys.
I booked a one night stay. When I checked out I was charged for vallet parking 110.16 when I parked in the garage around the corner. Vallet parking said it was $34 but I was charged more even though I never used it. Breakfast was good. But very upset that I was overcharged for a service I did not use which over drafted my bank
Positive: Friendly staff. Nice appointed rooms but no refrigerator or microwave. Full breakfast likes in the days before the pandemic. First weve seen like this. Even the waffle maker! Negative: No refrigerator or microwave. Small bathroom counter and shower curtain instead of glass doors.
This was the worst hotel I ever booked! First never rate anything a 3+ that has no refrigerator nor Micowave inside the room. The sheets didnt even fit right on the bed! The eggs from complementary breakfast made me and my husband sick. Then we leave to get something to eat, pay for in and out valet and how the valet driver forget our car, had to go back across the street to get our car stated he forgot he had too much on his mind. Then when we return we waited 10+ minutes for valet. Finally we turn car off go inside and look for valet. They come around corner stated that he thought we were chillin in the car. Now why would I chill in my car when I clearly have a room. I was very unsatisfied. I would never stay there again. You are only paying for staying downtown 🙄
The customer service was great with the valet drivers and most of the people who ran reception at the front desk. The breakfast was really good, I just wish it was labeled if theres meat in it or not bc Im vegetarian. One day the omelets didnt have meat in it and another day it did and it caught me off guard bc it didnt the first day and I almost ate it. So a warning would be nice. And the showerhead is nice and the bathrooms for nice showers. But the worst part is I was torn up from bed bugs for 2 nights there. And the second day I found 2 bed bugs on my bed. One in the pillow and one on the bed. So couldnt get any restful sleep at all. I couldnt even sleep there the 3rd day. I was also really disappointed that there were no refrigerators in the room. Most hotels I find have that as a standard feature nowadays, but this one didnt have that. Or a microwave in the room, but at least there was a microwave on the premises in the lobby downstairs. But for the price those refrigerators and microwaves should be in the rooms. And while valet parking was fast and convenient to have my car pulled up to the front door, it was really expensive at about $35 per 24 hours. So when you stay multiple days it does add up quickly.
Very good, but a problem with amenities: When reserving a four night stay, I specifically asked for room with small fridge (twice); was assured rooms have small fridge & microwave...Upon check-in on SundayPM, got to room, but NO fridge or micro. Went back to front desk, but was told they could not get fridge til Monday, because maintenance staff was off-work Sunday evenings. Finally had one brought to room on Monday. 😡Bed frame was also off-centered, with sharp metal edge protruding into walkway - hit my chin (even drew blood).OTHERWISE, staff was generally helpful, but BEST feature is its fantastic location: walk out front door and walk north less than a mile from R+R Hall-of-Fame, or turn south and walk less than a mile to Jacob Field (Progressive) baseball 🏟️ ⚾ !!
Did not receive the room type I requested even though I made my reservation ten months in advance and I’m a Hilton Honors member. Front desk said they could not guarantee my room type, and they weren’t very nice.. I called Hampton Inn customer service, they said they’d contact me by email. I never heard back from customer service even though they gave me a case number. I had the worst night’s sleep ever in a hotel between the noise outside and sharing a bed with my daughter who thrashes around while sleeping. Plus the desk chair had a water stain on it. I would post a picture, but there’s nowhere to upload it on this site.
Positive: I was charged twice for the room!!! I received my bill via email after I left!! I brought this to the hotels front desk attention the first morning¿ I was told¿ at check out it will automatically correct¿! Well it did not! I called 9 times in 2 Negative: Busy!! I called headquarters and what a run around!! Still not solved DoNOT leave this hotel until you have your bill IN HAND. We were also charged 3 times for parking on a 2 night stay¿. Less than 48 hours!!! Watch out people
Dont expect a fridge or microwave in your room. Better plan on eating breakfast outside of the hotel. All youll get are a couple of hard boiled eggs, a strange bagel, a kids size yogurt, and a muffin. We stay strictly at Hilton properties because their standards are higher. This time they sucked!
The USB ports in the room didnt work, the elevator was extremely slow ... every guest was complaining about it. No cream/sugar for coffee. Valet was really slow. For being such an expensive room for the night, I would expect these small details to not be an issue. Disappointed.
Excellent customer service, very clean and quiet. I felt safe staying here and I want to thank the cleaning crew more than anything for making the place shine. To me a clean place its so important. and the vallet service is great too. Now get ready to find a place for breakfast.
First time visiting the area. Have doing a lot of research landed on this hotel. Very expensive valet parking which was very slow and disorganized. My biggest problem was I booked a king sized bed and was not given that. When I asked hotel about it I got the equivalent of oh well... I contacted priceline as that was where I booked and they said they couldnt do anything either. I feel completely ripped off. Im in the taller side so I sleep on a king size bed a bit sideways. Due to the bed I got very poor sleep. Breakfast was poor as well. Will never come back.
Pros: Room was nice, shower was great, good location to walk to attractions.Cons: breakfast was a cold box of bagel type dessert, a yogurt, muffin and prepackaged hard boiled eggs. I’m not sure why they haven’t gone back to a normal breakfast. Valet is expensive - $34/ day if you want full access to your vehicle. You get 20% off when you book through Expedia right now. I recommend having the valet park it and then walk to everything. We ended up with 2 flat tires because at some point someone in Cleveland cut our passenger side tires. Could have happened at any time while we were there - we took our truck out of valet a couple times and went places. The repair shop said tires were purposely cut.
The Hampton is very nice. Great rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is a premade boxed breakfast. It did have a nice selection in it. Great location if going to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. About 5-10 minute walk. There are parking garages if you dont want to walk. You will pay for parking during your stay at The Hampton. Be sure to listen to your choices. All in all a good choice.
I stayed one night which was on 12/20/20 and my experience was great. The staff was extremely nice and professional. I parked at a meter a street over because I didnt want to pay 37 dollars for valet parking. The room was very spacious and very clean. Overall a great experience!
When I walked in no customers were at the counter. The clerk, a female was too busy eating than waiting on me. Never greeted us nor mentioned that I was a diamond member or offer anything to me. It was as if I was bothering her to look up my reservations. One of my 2 rooms was ready early which was good. Later at 3:30pm we returned to get the 2nd room and again the same clerk was eating a bag of chips or something and we seemed to be bothering her. She said our 2nd room was not available and we waited till after 5:30pm to get the 2nd room. Unitl I mentioned I was a diamond member the clerk never made a mention of it. very poor customer service.
Got a great deal on my room and was very pleased with my stay there. Great location which was close to everything you could need. The staff was excellent and kind. The room was clean and smelled clean as well. Breakfast wasnt your typical buffet which I have no complaints especially in this COVID season. The continental boxed breakfast worked out great. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and when I come back to Cleveland will stay at this Hampton Inn.
Hair in the linens when we pulled the bed back. Stayed here a couple years ago, they have removed the mini fridges and microwaves from the rooms!Breakfast is 2 packaged eggs, yogurt, and a cold Pillsbury mini bagel that states on the package it should be served hot or thawed!Find another hotel downtown…….
I stayed there because of wedding across the street in the gorgeous church. The rooms were excellent. The only thing that I found fault with was no fan in the bathroom, so the mirror kept clouding up. The employees who we came in contact with were working hard, happy and very friendly. Always smiling. We spoke with them and they all speak very highly of their employer. That says a lot. They always have a nice breakfast for you in the lobby, coffee, tea and others. There is also a large snack bar . Enjoy your stay.
TV doesnt work, someone elses hair in the shower, dust on tissue box, outdated in general, and elevator-adjacent rooms are LOUD. Theres also no security from the street to the rooms, but the location is great. The front desk was nice when I called twice, but they couldnt move me nor fix the TV outage.
I checked in when I arrived in town for an event. I left for the event only to return to someone else staying in my room. It seems that they checked someone else into my room after departing. It was a very dangerous and uncomfortable feeling to try to enter an occupied room at midnight. After all of that I was only offered a downgraded room because they were supposedly booked.
Nice facility.good food. Front desk sucked. Needs training or something. On phone sometimes not there, desk empty. Waited over 50 min for valet car deliver because desk hadnt forwarded request. Many people waiting and complaining. Valet was alone and running ad fast as he could
This place either has fleas or bed bugs. I couldnt even sleep because I was woken up constantly from being bit. I informed the front desk person this is why I was checking out early. He didnt offer any of my money back nor an apology. He just said hell let maintaince know. I actually left my belongings in the room because I didnt want to risk bringing anything home with me.
I can recommend this hotel for cleanliness BUT I strongly suggest using nearby public parking facilities as theirs is very slow and waaay overpriced. For $10/day (less than half of the hotels price), you can park at a public lot less than 50 feet from the hotels front door.
-100 for the ladies on staff who totally embarrassed us in front of customers. We are diamond members with a old card on file we failed to update or fault ok but the if you couldnt afford to book a room you shouldnt have booked it with a bad card very rudely and loud was not called for. We got there late cause of traffic....never recieved a email about the rejected card and at 1am tired after driving it was downright disgusting how we were treated. We would not have walked in that door if we knew our reservation was lost.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms where perfectly clean. There were no noise issues. The coffee and breakfast was about what you would expect for complimentary; not fantastic, but better than nothing. The only thing that I didnt particularly care for was the lack of windows in the guest rooms. Our suite only had one window; as a result, the room was rather dark and closed off for my liking. However, the lack of windows wouldnt necessarily stop me from staying here again, particularly in light of the fantastic service we received.
Our stay was very nice. Rooms are clean, bathroom was large. We had a beautiful view of the church across the street and the lake off in the distance. Location was good. Walkable distance for us to go downtown and to Playhouse Square. The valet parking for $30 a day is worth it and convenient compared to the prices of the parking garages in the area. I recommend doing it for the couple extra bucks. My only complaint is the toilet paper is junk and the location of the holders is behind the toilet so you have to reach behind you for it.Be aware there is no swimming pools in this hotel
Great location and price for what you are getting. They have a small buffet breakfast too, so it makes it a decent value. Valet parking is a bit more than expected but you can find plenty of overnight parking garages within 2 blocks for less if it really bothers you that much. Rooms were clean and in good condition but pretty outdated feeling. Smaller. And a bit musty smelling. Overall, I would stay there again if my preferred hotel on the area was booked, as it was this past time.
The staff beginning at the valet service were excellent and very professional. Check in was quick and courteous. The hotel was very clean welcoming and felt newly renovated or simply very well kept. My room was a king on the 5th floor. It was very clean, comfortable, stocked well with coffee and all needed to enjoy in my room. The bathroom towels were very nice thick and very clean. The bed cozy and well made. The lighting in the room was also adequate. There were only 2 things I didn’t care for. 1 there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and 2 the pillows were fluffy but not supportive. But me being picky about pillows is no impact on my overall happiness with my stay. The complementary breakfast was great. Lots to chose from both hot options and cold. My fiancé and I had a great 1 night stay and would definitely recommend this property.
We decided to go to Cleveland for the baseball game. Booked and CONFIRMED a room at the Hampton Inn, booked through Google from a LEGIT 3rd party site.... took our money and then never placed our room. Now I know this isnt DIRECTLY a reflection of the Hampton Inn, however the 3rd party source, SnapTravel, is supposedly a reputable company that you deal with. So this left us, tired and without a place to sleep, in a different city where we know noone. This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience that pretty much ruined my boyfriends birthday. Please look into this and your reputable 3rd party sources.
They charged me 2 nights for valet parking ($34 + tax) when I did not use valet parking. Now I cannot reach the hotel and I have to hold for 30 minutes with Hampton Inn customer service. Will make me think next time about using Hampton Inn.....and I am a Hilton Honors member.
I stayed at the Hampton last night and there are some good and not so good things to mention.Good:CleanQuietA little view of lake, but small windowPriceOkay locationNot so good:Check in wasnt very welcoming and seem to want to get us checked in and out of his way.Hard beds, seems like they bought the cheapest beds they could.Pillows, soft in a bad way. No support and didnt compliment the hard bed.OutdatedNo fridge or microwaveLots of homeless people around. Sad wish they had a place to go.
Had a great experience here. Very nice room and facility, exemplary staff, good offerings for breakfast. The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything downtown, whether you are there for business, with the family, or just a weekend getaway. Parking garages were also close by for $10/day or valet parking is available for $30. Would absolutely stay again!
Nice, clean room. Beautiful view from our window. Breakfast options were wonderful! Shops, restaurants, and Lake Erie are within walking distance. The only downside to this hotel was parking and sirens-it was difficult to find public parking lots nearby and we heard sirens throughout the day/night.
The room I reserved wasn’t available. They didn’t apologize or try to accommodate me. They don’t have smart TVs. It’s crazy that they charge extra for parking.I needed a luggage cart they told me I had to come down and get it. Just overall not happy with the experience. Will not be returning.
My husband and I were driving from Michigan to Buffalo. At 3am we reached Cleveland hubby was too exhausted to continue. Stopped at 2 other hotels one a double tree whos front desk staff was extremely rude. When I tried to walk in the hotel is locked at night. Mary at the front desk let me in I explained how we didnt have a reservation and hubby was too exhausted she was extremely sweet, understanding and helpful offering me a few options. Breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs, bacon etc also fresh squeezed juices. Room was very clean beds are super comfy. They offer Neutrogena soaps and shampoo. Will be back for sure. Thank you Mary you were a godsend
Really great stay. Cleanliness and modern rooms exceeded my expectations, as well as the friendliness of every single staff member I encountered. Even the breakfast was good. Glad I didnt pay more for an upscale hotel when this was so close to the convention center I spent most of my time at. Highly recommended.
Stayed in 2 queen room for 2 nights. Everyone from the valet to housekeeping staff were friendly. Room, elevators, lobby, and eating area were always clean. I’m big on customer service and especially cleanliness, this location passed my test! Last but definitely not least, Ms. Channell and the dining crew had a hot, tasty breakfast ready each morning for me and my family. Her staff went the extra mile and catered to my unusual request ( diet syrup, extra tea bag, etc). I observed how her staff cleaned the tables immediately after guests were done eating. I also observed the janitorial staff empty trash containers once they were full ( no overflow). Bottom line, the staff seemed to work well as a team and I will be returning to this location again when in Cleveland!
If waking up on the hour to motorcycle groups going up and down the street is your thing and you need little sleep to work the next day…this is your hotel! I’ll never stay here again until the police are allowed to do their jobs or they get better sound proof windows. Real shame.
The hotel is in a great location! You can tell it is am older hotel however everything is updated, nice and clean! There is no pool but plenty to do Downtown so you really dont need a pool. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Every person we dealt with was amazing. The Breakfast hostess greeted us the first day and from then on she remembered all of us! The front desk people were amazing and helpful for everything we asked. If you are staying Downtown Cleveland I would highly recommend this hotel!!
A nice clean place. Very friendly staff, convenient valet parking, good breakfast and neat views of the city and the lake. Their bed game is on point! One of the nicest and coziest beds Ive ever had in a hotel. My room did not have a fridge though. They may be available, buy I was surprised with as how nice as the room was the lack of refrigerator. Super close to the Rock Hall. We Ubered for about 5 bucks to and from there.I would stay here again for sure.
Stayed there last week and was very disappointed. Have no plans of staying there again and we will be having frequent trips to Cleveland for the Cleveland Clinic. I have tried to contact the owner/managers numerous times to voice my concerns with no return calls. When we checked in and arrived in our room, one of the beds had pubic hair all over the bottom of it. We called room service and a male came to the room with new sheets but expected us to change them ourselves. We declined, so he changed them. Never brought a new comforter, so when we asked for a new one he took the dirty comforter off the dirty bed and put it on the clean bed. He got an attitude because we asked for a new comforter. When they came to clean our room they took half the trash and never put a new trash bag in the trash can. We were very disappointed that there was no fridge, luckily we brought a cooler for the trip to the hotel. Overall, very disappointed!!!!At check out, asked to speak to a manager. Was informed since we were checking out at 6am we couldn’t talk to one until around 9am. Have tried numerous times to contact the 2 men on the business cards I was given with no luck. The guy that checked us out was very rude. Only good thing about the trip was the very nice woman that checked us in. We also called in to get handicap accessible room for my blind mother to have an easier stay, they said we will note that and discuss at check in. Of course that wasn’t done, we was placed on the 6th floor! If you are looking for a good hotel try a different place!
Very clean thanks to Esther. Very friendly staff. They have valet for $30 plus tax for 24 hrs. We didnt use it because we parked before checking in. The most comfiest beds! All I wanted to do was sleep in. Breakfast is 6 to 10am. Pretty good breakfast-eggs, sausage, fruit, bread/bagels, make your own waffles, and cereal while I was there. Overall great place to stay for that price. Parked right next door.
Where do I begin on how AMAZING this hotel is. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful and I could tell they truly love their job. The hotel is so immaculate I hardly believed people were staying here. The rooms wonderful and the bed was amazing to sleep on. The breakfast was AMAZING!!!!!! something different every morning and a great selection of delicious foods to choose from. Being that this was my very first to Cleveland and I was alone the hotel is in a great area with plenty of shops, restaurants and sites to see. It also was a short Lyft ride from all the things I had to do outside the area. I most certainly have found my new home in Cleveland at the Hampton Inn Downtown. Can’t wait to stay here during my next trip in August
I stayed at this hotel for 81 nights. Overall, the location was great for sight-seeing and work. I worked at the federal building, two blocks away. I usually did not eat breakfast here, because Im not hungry in the morning. But it looked great for complimentary breakfast. Clean rooms and friendly employees. Please pass these kind words along to your front desk folks, Christine and Stephanie! They made my stay more enjoyable. -Jason.
Stayed at this hotel for four nights. It is very convenient to many restaurants, historic sites and entertainment. The hotel is old but fairly well updated. Not up to the Hampton standards as a Honors member. I had to ask the front desk to change the dirty sheets on the fourth day and a blonde haired girl at the front desk told me no one was available but offered me water?? Approached front desk again later and a manager sent up housekeeping, said they are changed after three days but this was our fourth. Could do better.
Great stay experience. Staff was courteous and attentive. They respond quickly to guest needs. Valet parking was reasonably fast. Room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Close to many downtown locations.Overall a fantastic value if you wish to stay downtown. Highly recommended.
Room was clean and comfortable, but noise from AC units outside was noticeable. Bathroom was small and cramped. Breakfast was great. Breakfast area was small but staff did a good job of keeping up with the demand. Snacks etc., purchased at the front desk were overpriced.
Booked the room a month in advance. Upon booking the Orbitz site asked if there was anything additional I would have liked to see so I made a comment that I had been looking for a smoking room. Upon check-in, because of that comment I was immediately threatened with a $240 fine if I smoked in the room. Rude beyond belief. Our reservation stated a curved shower rod (nice when sharing water). We didnt have one. When I asked about it they said they had to change my room because of the late booking. They also ask for your credit card for incidentals that you may charge to your room. We didnt and yet they charged $25 to my card anyway which will supposedly be returned in a few days. A warning would have been nice. The soundproofing was nonexistent and we got stuck in the elevator. The only good things I can come up with are the location, that the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Theres a $7.50/night parking garage just around the corner so I did not use the $20/day valet service.
I have stayed at this Hampton two times. Once was as a couple, and I want to say we had a King room. This particular room felt a little tight. The second time was over the weekend, and I was there with 4 others in a double suite. This room felt extremely large! Keep in mind, there is no door in between rooms, so if anyone is looking for privacy that is not going to happen.Service was FANTASTIC for my group. While the internet was down and they could not issue room keys, they were quick to get us in our room and everything we needed, with a smile. When we came back in after our night out, it was new people, they were also extremely friendly and quick to get us keys. While our room was nice, I think it could use some modernizing at some point, but this didnt effect the quality of our stay whatsoever. The location, to me, is ok. But it was worth the value. There are closer hotels to where we went, but they were more expensive. So it was worth it to walk further to us.Parking is the biggest negative. We did not use their parking as it is $30 a night and we brought 2 cars.
Stayed at the Hampton for an Indians game. The hotel is a decent distance from the field, a nice walk. From the moment we got there, they made us feel welcome. The facility itself was nice and clean. The only issue we had was with the free breakfast - they had run out of many items and didnt seem like they wanted to replenish, though they ended up being very accommodating. Overall, o was very happy with our stay.
Check-in was smooth. Room was clean . We chose a room with a view of the skyline. Free breakfast and you can park around the corner for $10 a day. Plenty of entertainment to walk to if you want.If you get time explore the resteraunts and bars that are fun to spend a day with.
This hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to all of downtown. They do offer valet for $30, however if you arrive in the evening, you can park in the garage next door for $10. The hotel is well maintained and offers a decent complimentary breakfast. Only gave three stars as there was a contact lens and hang tag on the floor in our bathroom when we arrived.
I love Hampton Inn. We were there last week, and it was an awesome experience. The hotel was clean and spacious and smelled sweet too. The bed and pillows were very soft. The breakfast was always warm, the staff were all friendly. We will definitely come back. Most if all, it is just a walking distance from all of the places we visited. This hotel ROCKS😍
The staff was great! We needed our sheets changed out and they were able to do so. This hotel is awesome because its all within walking distance to everything! Right next door to some great Pho! On Sunday morning you can hear the church bells and after 6pm the city kind of dies down. So during the day you get the big city feel and after 6 you get it all to yourself! The farmers market is awesome in Cleveland! You should go check that out as well!
This Hampton Inn was surprising in a few areas. Let me say first, overall we enjoyed our stay. The receptionist were very pleasant and personable. We requested a room with a king bed, which we got but what we didnt expect was the handicap accessibility, the extra was frustrating, a hinged seat in the shower, which interfered with movement. The other disappointment was the lack of a table & chair. There was a built in shelf area that replaced the table, which was very confining to sit or work at. The last item were the fake eggs served at breakfast. We will be back for the beds, personally I love the quality pillows, my husband not so much. Cant please everyone all the time.
Great hotel! Friendly staff! Clean rooms! There is no parking lot, but there is a valet option or several garages nearby. We were a bit disappointed that there was no pool, but the exercise room was very nice and clean. A great value for the price paid! We will stay here next time we are in the area!!
Great location! Walking distance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Water Front, and the football stadium. A few electric scooters are usually close by and worth it if you want to travel more than several blocks. There are 2 CVSs close by if you need last minute food, snack or personal hygiene items. Once COVID-19 restrictions relax, this hotel will be back to their usually upper-level accommodations and service. Tough when you cannot serve food and drink as per pre COVID-19.
First time our family has been back in years, What a find, the staff were some of the most accomodating people we have encountered in some time. From Valet staff to front end to room staff. This hotel should be proud of the way they treat their guests.Rooms clean and comfortable, showers great and a hot breakfast to boot. The city has turned around and we are sure your staff are partly responsible for that. This place is a well kept secret and the people there made us feel like we belonged , not just as guests passing through. Great staff, Great City, Great time, even though Our Raptors and Jays fell down. We will be back next July, and hope we see the same friends (staff) we made at your hotel.
Clean, comfortable. Free breakfast and fitness room with free dumbbells, treadmills, ellipticals, gym balls & towels are a huge plus to staying here. Plenty of water refill stations around (ground floor toilet, left of lift on second floor, in the gym). Very glad we chose to stay here
Way too expensive. Parking is not included, no bar fridge in the room, heard sirens all night long and also heard manhole cover sounds of cars driving over them all night too. U would think being on the 15th floor u wouldnt hear this but u do. Maybe install better windows? Ive never complained about this before until now. Pillows were so flat, what happened to hotel pillows? My pillows at home are puffer then that. Never got to try the breakfast as it was overcrowded and only till 10am. Would not recommend staying here
Some of the best staff I have seen. They went above and beyond to help accommodate my wife and I in a time of crisis. The rooms were very neat, staff and valet were phenomenon. Breakfast is free and there is a wonderful assortment of actual food. Meats, eggs, others items as well. This is an excellent Hilton chain and this is also one of the best hotels in Cleveland!
I have been staying at Hampton Inns for 2 decades so I know what to expect. This is the second Hampton Inn which had a pathetic breakfast and was no way near the Hampton standard. There were no danish or muffin. There was sliced pound cake but each slice was cut in half in thickness and lengthwise too. It was so thin that anyone who tried to pick it up with a tong, crumbled it into pieces. There were no pancakes and no choc chips for waffles. The batter of waffles was also sub standard. There were a few pieces of fruits which were very stale. The manager responding to the reviews says that this gives them an opportunity to improve but they dont improve it. I would never ever stay at this hotel!
Its nice, all the staff have been very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and comfy. My only complaint is that the coffee and tea in the lobby is cold every time I grab a cup. They offer a really nice Cleveland Clinic discount that includes parking. I would absolutely stay here again.
Great staff!! Everyone was so nice and helpful - just like every Hilton product. Room was fine, breakfast was a standard Hampton Inn breakfast (which isnt great). Location is good, and the Vietnamese restaurant which is just around the corner (same building) is very good.
I enjoyed my recent stay at the Hampton Inn. The location was great for walking to events and restaurants downtown. The room was clean and modern. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Parking is at an additional cost, but is nearby. I would recommend as a place to stay downtown.
Could of been a better experience. Only 1 staff member working when we checked in and out. Not that friendly of staff. No sheet for bed just comforter which probably doesnt get washed (ew) and the breakfast lady was cleaning up 30mins before breakfast was done being served. Didnt get a chance to eat. As well, expensive parking.Nothing Hampton can fix but theres a pothole outside that cars run over constantly and that was pretty annoying.Overall 2/5 experience
The breakfast was a slightly above average hotel breakfast with the average choices including eggs, a breakfast meat, cereal, and waffles. The staff were exceptionally friendly and social whenever entering or exiting the hotel. Rooms and lobby were kept clean. The location is well within walking distance of many restaurants and exhibits.

2022-05-18Recently stayed for 3 days/2 nights for a family trip. Absolutely loved our stay. Very kid friendly. Some of the reviews listed stated there were no mini fridges/microwaves in the room so we were a little worried, but when we got to our room we did have a mini fridge and microwave. The complimentary breakfast every morning was great and had a lot of different options, my picky 3 year old loved it. Customer service from check in to check out was great, everyone was very friendly. Being in the middle of downtown it was so close to everything we just walked pretty much everywhere aside from the zoo/aquarium. Most of the restaurants were a quick 5-10min walk. Downtown can be noisy at night but that’s no fault of the hotel. The only “complaint” I would have is the price for the valet, $37. Thankfully you do not have to use that service if you don’t want to. Aside from that our stay was great and would definitely come back again

2022-06-28Great location. About a 7 minute walk down 9th to the Rock n Roll Hall which is right beside the Browns First Energy Centre. I personally continued walking right over to the Flats!!If you can get a corner 20 room there is a great view down to the Lake (Pics attached). Rooms are older but very comfortable. The print marketing throughout the property is whimsical and will put a smile on tour face!!Great coffee and a nice little breakfast buffet to start the morning. Car Valet Only; however, you have full in/out privileges 👍Many thanks to Amy, Lewis, and Paul for the great hospitality!! Hope to see you again soon 🍻

2022-05-21A one night stay for a baseball game. Great location. Walked to Progressive field and back, no problem. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Only drawback is the bed. We found it to be a bit hard ( too firm). Overall a good stay and we will go back.

2022-03-13Positive: Clean. Great staff. Very nice bathroom faucet, shower, HVAC. My biggest happy surprise was the free hot breakfast. It was so good that I sent compliments to the kitchen. Hotel honored my request for King bed. Reasonable price of snacks in cafe.

2022-06-20The room was clean, comfortable and larger than we expected. It felt like the hotel had been updated recently which was nice. We would have liked having mini fridge but that was our only complaint. Parking was in a garage next door for only $10/night. We didnt think that was bad for being in the middle of downtown. The Hotel also offers Valet parking for additional cost.

2022-07-01Great location, great staff, very nice breakfast included. You do have valet park if you have a car. Enjoyed the cathedral bells across the street. Walking distance to R&R Hall of Fame, Lake Erie and Playhouse Square.

2022-01-26We arrived at the hotel and we were impressed! It was one of the most inexpensive hotels in all of downtown cleveland, and it was very centralized. We were in walking distance of all of the landmarks! That free continental breakfast, and for the the bedroom was clean. The only downside to our trip was the bathroom was not 100% clean, however, it was still more sanitary than most of the hotels I have ever been in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are definitely going to come back!

2021-12-30Weve stayed here many times and Id recommend it to everyone. I want to add its within walking distance of the Rock n Roll museum. They also are now serving a scrumptious, sit-down, hot breakfast. In addition, the present staff is the best weve ever had, very friendly, very accommodating and they even called up to my room to remind me that my membership level included free waters if I wanted them. Also, an extra blanket was in a package in the room so we didnt have to call down for one or go get one.

2022-03-22Positive: The valet parking attendants were awesome! Honestly, everyone that worked there was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Negative: The noise. The rooms are not very soundproof, at least ours wasnt. We could hear doors closing, people walking around in the room above, people getting busy in the room next to us. Front desk did take care of people carrying on in the hall at 1:30am.
