Was disappointed after seen good reviews front desk had no experience about costumers service asked them there is no shampoo they responded we are out don’t have any use the bath soap for my gf wash her hair !!!! I was like really !!! They tell me what to do then the bed cover was dirty spots on it seems they don’t change the bed covers after costumers leaving ppl next time stay watch the bed cover before use it
I almost always choose Hampton Inn for their quality and Im able to expect consistently comfy beds and clean rooms. I do not know what was going on at this hotel, but when we arrived, I had to call room service to deliver a fly swatter. I killed 10-12 flies that night, as well as another one in the morning. I spoke with another person who stayed on the same floor and they reported flies as well. Then I heard another visitor asking for RAID at the front desk. (the front desk did give me 1/2 off my stay without me asking, so I did appreciate that consideration) They have sliding barn doors for the bathrooms, with no lock. The door kept sliding open anytime someone was trying to use the restroom. So beware if you are staying with friends or for business. Also to be noted, it is connected to the casino. I didnt hear any noise at night, but I probably wouldve picked another hotel had I known.
Im a Hilton Honors Reward Member and stay at The Hampton Inn at Scioto Downs quite often and Normally the rooms are very clean, smell clean and the Staff is very polite and Professional. This stay Im not sure if they changed there cleaning policy but when I arrived at my room there was no clean stay sticker across my door like previous stays to let you know it was cleaned and sanitized. When I opened the door and walked in the room it smelled like a sweaty Gym or Locker Room. I went to the front desk to ask about the smell but there were several people waiting to check in and also overheard the front desk agent tell someone on the phone they were completely booked no rooms available so I decided to deal with it and address this issue in the morning but as I was packing my car walking past the front desk there was always people at the desk and only one person checking people in or out. Anways I havent had any issues in the past maybe 1 time and love the Hotel and Staff but this time I felt my room wasnt completely cleaned. We narrowed the smell down to the comforters that were I believe the source of the smell. We did not use the Comforters.
Overall nice stay. Friendly staff. Nice big room. I was in a hurry to get into my room so the cleaning staff worked hard and fast to get it done for me but there was a hair in my sink. I was told the night before breakfast was from 6 am to 11 am but it closed at 10 am. They served an okay buffet breakfast but you had to make your own Waffles if you wanted them. Also they had sausage but it was cut into small pieces. There were about four small pieces and I ate them. I believed they would refill it. They did not so my fiance ended up with no sausage. I was told there was only one person working the breakfast bar. The pool has not been fixed for months. Could not swim.
My room was very nice. Very clean with the exception of the edge next to the tub. Some built up grime and a few hairs that looked like they came from someone trimming their beard. The rest of the room was very clean. The air conditioner was loud. The receptionist at the front desk during check in and out was very nice.I enjoyed that it is attached to the Casino.I would stay there again.Thank You.
I have stayed here a number of times. Decent place to stay. Never had any major issues. Im a truck driver and they have a whole parking area for trucks which is very considerate. Sometimes I stop by just to play the casino which is attached. Only gripe is the lackluster breakfast. Nowhere in their booking does it state that the breakfast is modified to cold foods. I understand about the pandemic but at $100+ per night I was still expecting a hot breakfast. I have stayed at another Hampton Inn during the outbreak and hot breakfast was served.(Update) Hot breakfast is back in effect!
I wouldnt stay there again unless its a free few nights cause its not worth the redness n cant do this cant do that.and have nothing for kids at all.and will call you a liar n charge you 250 bucks a night if you smoke and all your stuff smells like smoke.so there for you must have smoked in the room . and I had my 70 year old mother in the room on oxygen machine and cant be around smoke
Awesome hotel glad I got to be a guest here very beautiful rooms nice an cozy very quiet and very affordable I thought being inside a casino the room prices would have been more then what they was and I was very surprised at the prices will definitely be visiting again thats for sure
We enjoyed our short stay, visiting the casino connected to the hotel. We had a long drive to visit and tried the hotel to stay one night. Was comfortable noting that the room was disinfected and looked very clean, even with a covering on the TV remote. The morning breakfast was good with a number of things to chose from. Office personnel were very friendly and accommodating . A nice walkway from the hotel to the casino.
I am definitely looking forward to a return trip to this Hampton Inn. The rooms as well as all other areas of the hotel, including the dining area, were immaculate. Every member of the staff that I encountered was professional, courteous, and helpful. Another plus was the close, convenient proximity to the casino. There were also close parking spaces around the back of the hotel, another significant convenience. This hotel does everything right.
Housekeeping was not the best. Left room at 9:00am to 3:30pm. Room was not cleaned. Returned about 6:00pm and room had been cleaned, but BED was not made. When sleeping, HVAC in unit vibrated and rattled all night. Notified the desk at checkout. Other than little sleep, the room was fine.
The Hampton Inn was a nice getaway with several positives!! The staff was a very positive group of the kindest folks. Every staff we met smiled behind their masks, you can just tell! The business center was perfect for our needs. The Eldorado casino is connected so no jacket or umbrella needed!! There is also a Brew Brothers (fabulous food pub) also connected! I was sorry to learn the pool is waiting for a part and not open during our stay, I do feel that in the reminder email this should have been noted.
I really enjoy my stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel was very clean, and followed procedures put in place for the pandemic. My room was clean and this hotel was very quiet compared to others that I have stayed at. Overall the experience was great and I will be back!
I returned for 4th weekend like last year. This time the room on the 3rd floor overlooked the track (about half of it anyway), but I watched the first few races from out the window and went downstairs for the rest of the night. The room was nice and comfortable. Pool was closed again (last year covid, this year maintenance). Managed to get breakfast right as it was shutting down, and it was very good.
You will love staying at a Hampton, we certainly did! Clean, Friendly, Complimentary Hot Breakfast that was delicious. There were also cold items to chose from beside the hot items. The Hampton is connected to the Sciotto Down Casino, so no need to go outside to get to the Casino.
My husband and I booked a comp room with host 2 weeks in advance. Were told we would be put in a suite, but instead were put in a handicap room, the couch had grass all over it, bed was sloppy made, and didnt even shower do to black mold and dirt throughout. The room was the most nastiest room Ive ever been in! Manager was rude and said, you werent guaranteed a suite do to being a comp room and she acted like I shouldnt of complained at all.
This hotel is adjacent to a racing casino - El Dorado! If you are planning your stay for something other than going to the racino, I recommend you do not stay here. We had a family gathering in the area and chose the hotel primarily for sleeping accommodations. We did not get a single good night of sleep due to noisy guests in adjacent rooms. We would get settled in around 10pm and then they would come in at 11pm+ and proceed to walk around and bang things until the early morning hours. The construction of the hotel must have used the thinnest, cheapest flooring because you can hear footsteps very loudly in the carpeted areas. The rest of the hotel seemed to have the proper amenities for a Hampton Inn, though the pool is closed due to COVID-19. If the pool is important to your stay, check in advance on whether its open.
Stayed in a king suite which was a wonderful room with lots of space. That part was awesome. Everything was super clean with all the covid cleaning standards in place.Only issue is how extremely uncomfortable the bed was. I am not sure why because we have stayed here plenty of times before with no issues whatsoever, but that part was very disappointing considering how nice and spacious the room was. Hoping it may have just been me.
We have stayed at Hampton Inn at many locations. The experience at Scioto Downs was terrible and did not get close to our prior very positive experiences. We made reservations by directly calling the facility. The lady was excellent and was very friendly. We asked for a late check-in and a late check-out and she had no problem or concerns. When we received an email from the electronic concierge, I repeated the request, and again received an immediate response from Zena. She was very responsive and answered questions within minutes. When receiving an email from Hilton regarding electronic check-in, I immediately completed the information and added the APP to my phone. The day of check in, I received the information from the APP that I had to check in at the desk as more information was needed. When we arrived, we checked-in at the desk and asked what information was needed. The gentlemen said he didnt need anything and gave us keys to the room. When I asked him about the electronic check in, he stated that is only for Hilton platinum and higher members. Why did I receive the information and waste my time? Also at the front desk, I asked to confirm our late check-out. The gentlemen asked, Who told you that was okay? I explained the person that handled the reservation. When I pressed him, he said it was okay. Why the harassment? When we arrived at our room, after 10, the internet did not work. Checked at the front desk, Oh, it must have gone down again. You can call AT&T and ask for their help. Great service.Dont bother with the breakfast Junk Food. The cellophane wrapped donuts, coffee cakes, and boxed cereal were not a bagged breakfast in our opinion. Either advertise no breakfast and reduce the price of the stay, have a breakfast, or provide a coupon for a local restaurant. There were no COVID restrictions in place, so not sure why the lack of a normal Hampton Inn start of the day.We will not be returning!
Stayed at this hotel during a road trip. Pulled in at 1 am and they had a room. Didnt know it was pet friendly until check out and an adorable pup came down the hall. Definitely bonus points for that! Clean, beautiful room. Lots of towels. Quiet. Coffee and breakfast was ready!
My family and I stayed here after a booking mistake at another hotel. It is a little out of the way, but perfect. When the front desk found out that we had a five year old with us, she grinned while asking if we might be interested in a bunk bed room. Our room had three queen beds - two of them in enormous bunk form.It was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever been in and while the kiddo had a bath and story with Dad, I got to wander down the hall for a quick spin of a few slots. What a perfect experience.
Stayed two weeks. All Staff was Wonderful! Few minor issues with room that didn’t affect my stay. Informed front desk with a list so they can fix before next customer. Wasn’t thrilled with price vs. amenities and room cleaning that were closed . But it was what it was. Definitely would stay again. Wish them all the best.
Its a Hampton what you expect, nothing but the best. The room was very nice, the beds was so soft, goose down pillows, and everything in this hotel room, everything in this whole hotel was updated futuristic. The bathroom was awesome, water pressure was excellent, but most of all its just not the hotel its the employees everybody here was nice and caring. Thank you Hampton inn for having such a wonderful team. And dont forget to sign up for the Hilton honors program they have a lot of perks. I really enjoyed my stay hope you will too.
One frazzled late evening call during a cross country trek and Chad from the front desk was amazing at finding us a room and making sure my family and our dogs were accommodated fully for a good nights rest. Room was great. Restaurant attached to the hotel was delicious. Can’t give the hotel and the staff enough praise.
Room was nice, king bed, suite, nice roomy shower, friendly staff. The convenienve of being connected directly to the casino is a plus if you are there to gamble. The only complaint I have is the black sludge in our bathroom sink, in the overflow drain, that was probably mold. It looked as though that part of the sink had never been cleaned. Pretty Gross. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
We have stayed here several times and have a great experience, that is why we booked a birthday party there for 1/26. We had about 5 rooms booked for the party guests. We arrived about 2:45 (check in time was 3:00) some guests were there and the rooms were not ready. We didnt get our room until 4:30 and one of our guests didnt get her room until 5:30 (I guess she got her room free) Our other guests were not offered that. I understand you were sold out the night before but that should not have anything to do with having our rooms ready on time.we did have a great time and the rooms were clean and breakfast was great.
Our stay here was very nice. The only complaint I have is on an employee in cleaning services (possibly) who I couldn’t tell worked here until she exited the elevator onto the employee side. I thought she was a guest who had a long night. She looked very unhappy I inconvenienced her reopening the elevator door. We were in much of the same attire...leggings and T-shirt. I suppose that would not matter if she had a welcoming smile on her face. Customers pay the money they do here for the convenience, Casino experience, and first and foremost customer service. Still leaving a 5 star because maybe she was just having a bad day.
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the hotel ambiance. The common areas are nice. BUT, I am a housekeeper at a hotel and I was appalled at how nasty the rooms were. Yes, rooms. I checked into a room on the 3rd floor. Immediately seen hair in the shower and the beds had appeared to be remade with old sheets. I asked for a new room, and went to the 4th floor. Same issues and this time the toilet was dirty with hair and urine and blood. Trying one last time, I went to a room on the 2nd floor and it was no better than the other 2. Its unfortunate that people actually stay here and think they are getting quality. Those rooms were not hilton standard by any means. Front desk guy was very polite but I went to the hilton garden inn just a few miles away and had a great stay. Just so aggravated to have wasted so much time at this hotel.
Nice, clean rooms BUT you can hear everything, EVERYTHING going on inside and outside the rooms. Im talking about cars starting outside, every word spoken in the hall, every step taken upstairs, several other TVs, toilets flushing every few minutes. This place was not made to be slept in.
I frequently travel to Columbus for work and decided to stay at a different Hilton brand Hotel just for variety. I am so thrilled that I did. Everything about my experience at this hotel was great. The front desk agent was beyond friendly and efficient. The room is absolutely massive and was in perfect condition. The lobby is gorgeous and the breakfast is standard fare and laid out in the cutest way Ive ever seen. The little signs over every meal were adorable and added a little touch of personality to breakfast that made it really cute. The casino being connected is obviously a really nice feature but its far enough away that theres no noise or anything hitting the hotel but you also have dining options without having to Really Leave the hotel. I will definitely be staying here in the future.
When you live over an hour away and would like to enjoy the 6:15 horse races, a couple of drinks and a little bit of gambling inside on the slot machines for the night, then this place is well worth the money. Then when you wake up you go get ya some free breakfast and hit the casino up again for some early morning fun. Who wouldnt rate this place a 5. Its not exactly vegas but the closest it comes to in ohio. If there was an outdoor pool, Id be here every weekend in the summer
I’ve stayed at this hotel on business 4 times so far. My company books my stay. But let me be honest the first room was dirty when I arrived shower and all that was the second floor then the fourth floor they didn’t clean at all. I always had to request Lori I call her the bleach lady cause she will clean your room like no other the best hands down she needs to be manager over housekeeping she does it all. I don’t like this hotel rooms always dirty so paying $115 a night for weeks at a time is a waste. I’ve asked my company to never book any of the employees here.
The room was nice and clean, was also very spacious. We stayed only one night and was told the day we checked in that we would be charged $152 plus taxes didn’t realize the taxes was $40 but charged $191. They need to tell you the price of your room and taxes when you check in. Was not very happy to learn I was charged more then what I was told in the first place.
From the time we got here until the time we left, Everything was absolutely perfect. The girls at the front desk made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and we felt right at home. We will be back as soon as possible.
Very nice, clean newer hotel!! Nice hot breakfast and the room (king suite) is very comfortable and spacious! Very friendly staff! I like how there is an adjoining casino to the hotel and yet its so far removed that you hear nothing. Huge plus!!!! Well definitely be back! #romantic #quaint #weekendgetaway
Rooms are almost new. Hotel is very clean. Total bonus, the continental breakfast buffet is awesome. Lots of choices and its all good. Hotel desk staff are very nice and accommodating. Casino is clean and has lots of slot machines. I wish they had more video poker type games. They didnt have any of them at all.
The hotel was nice and quiet. It is just under a 15 min drive to downtown. The hotel was clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. You can walk from the hotel to the casino through the first floor of the hotel. If you go out the back stairs of the hotel you can walk and see the horse racing from the parking lot. The hotel is new so everything was in tip top shape. They have included hot breakfast 6am-10am daily. The pool is open until 10pm. Unfortunately I didnt get to try their breakfast or visit the pool. The sink in the room has a drainage issue which I let the front desk know during checkout, they advised it is a hotelwide issue. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel room was spacious. We had the room with a king bed and sofa bed. Nice size TV, desk, draw space and a mini refrigerator. The bathroom was also a very nice size and the shower was big. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I really have enjoyed my stay. The only negative vibe I encountered, was when I tried to register my stay, one of the desk clerks kept telling me there were no vouchers from Scioto Downs being accepted for the whole month of June and July, I would have to keep calling back. I kept getting the same lady. She seemed upset that I was calling and before I could say anything, she said if you are calling for a free room, I already told you we are not accepting anything for.those 2 months. When I talked to her in person, I asked if Housekeeping had turned in a flashlight which was a free gift I received from Scioto Downs. I forgot it in Room.322. She checked and said she would have a supervisor call.me. I havent heard back. She did register me for 2 nights in June. At check in time, I was not in the system. I hate to sound petty, Im not that person, but when I called late at night, I talked to someone who registered me with no problem. He said of course we are accepting vouchers. The rest of the staff have been stellar. I love the rooms and needed a break. Im looking forward to my next free night. Thank you.
We stayed in a King suite. Very nice modern decor. Nice view. Great bathroom. Large room. The mattress was not so great, memory foam that kind of sagged. The breakfast was very good with lots of fresh fruit and hot items. Adjacent to the casino. Very convenient. Great price for the room. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel was great, seemed brand new. The hotel was easy to get to and the convenience of the casino was great, if youre into that sort of thing. The only thing I found off-putting was that the elevator made this obnoxious electronic bell sound that seemed more like an alarm. And it made this noise upon reaching every floor, whether or not it stopped there. Otherwise a wonderful experience.
Clean clean clean. Great full breakfast with healthy food options. Staff was extremely pleasant & helpful. Room was nice. Loved the usb charging options. Shower had broken ceramic ledge in it barely hanging onto the shower. Really big bathroom. Barn doors to bathroom make it interesting for privacy. They have indoor pool and fitness room. Hotel is connected to casino/restaurants with a short connector, however to get back into the hotel...you have to use your room key or walk outside for a little distance (THIS NEEDS ADDRESSED/CHANGED IMMEDIATELY - ESPECIALLY FOR GUESTS LIKE US WHO GOT A ROOM THAT NIGHT BY WALKING TO THE FRONT DESK FROM THE CASINO! It was pouring outside with no cover: your other guests let me in.) Rate was decent -cheaper at desk than online rates surprisingly. Not much for kids to do in area. Great for adults.
I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites with my parents because they were in town for an event. They didnt plan on me staying, since I live close by, but they were able to accommodate me last minute with a really comfortable pull out sofa. I hear my mom say the sheets were like butter. There were a lot of kids on our floor and I never heard them. The bathroom was nice. It has a sliding door between the bedroom and sink area then the toilet and shower had a door. So if you close the sliding door the whole area becomes a larg and comfortable area for showering and changing. Breakfast was complete with eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, cereal, pastries, fruit, and hot coffee and tea. What I would expect from a Hampton Inn and Suites. My only complaint is that the breakfast area had poor acoustics and was very loud. We really enjoyed our stay!
It was such a beautiful proberty, everything was fairly new and the breakfast/front desk staff was amazing. The only thing I had an issue with was how dirty the room was. The toilet was dirty and had hairs. The sink I was not draining properly and needed a good clean. Our trash can in the bathroom was dirty and stain marks around it. I think the housekeeping crew needs to put more attention with the cleaning.
I visit this location pretty frequently spending time both in the hotel and casino. I am beyond pleased with the hotel’s quality and service! I walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile from Katie a staff member working the front desk. Katie went above and beyond to accommodate me and to make sure that I felt like a valued customer, she is a keeper and and someone I’d want on my management team I look forward to my next stay because I know I’m in good hands
Excellent service! Clean and comfortable rooms. All staff friendly and helpful.JEFF at the front desk was very cordial and helpful. He answered all questions in a pleasant manner and used my name to personalize his contact with me. I greatly appreciated it.TONY in the breakfast room was hard working and pleasant. He kept good full and the area was kept clean.
First impression was the cleanliness of the facility. We had an issue with our air conditioning unit and instead of haggling about what we might have done they immediately upgraded us. The staff even helped us with our belongings. The room was fabulous and so was the staff.
Rooms are updated and modern as the hotel is fairly new. The staff always makes the stay enjoyable as they always ensure to accommodate any needs or services needed. Connected to the racino so kids are limited to the hotel entrance and the Brew Brother entrance of they want to eat at the restaurant.
Stairway and elevator smelt of weed and then we enter our room and we have them same smell. We were there as a stay to play baseball tournament in Columbus and this is really no place for children. The pool was broken and we were told part of was on backorder so it was closed for our entire trip. Another family from our team found a needle under the bed.
The staff is very accommodating and professional. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Very convenient to go gamble at anytime of the day .The work out area is nice and the pool is fresh water (very nice)Lastly the breakfast is very nice. Pretty much offers something for EVERYONE!
The room was comfortable and clean which is the reason for the one star. There is no bar, you dont have a liquor license. Wish I had known, wouldve saved money. I bought two drinks at the Racino to bring back to my room and I was stopped by security...no drinks are allowed to be taken to the hotel!? Not cool, you really need to take down bar under your amenities. Lets not mention the thin walls...the lead foot upstairs on that rolling chair and ottoman....across the floor all night. Also, more false advertisement....theres a nice little sign in the bathroom...if you forgot anything, a comb (first item mentioned) toothbrush etc. just call the front desk for a complimentary one, you even say we got you covered....really because I forgot my comb and when I asked for one I was told they were for sale right next to the front desk.....for $4! Thanks for covering me. I wish I would have save the $139.00 I spent to stay here. I was really disappointed.
I was super excited to come to the hotel. Till the plus size man that checked us in, he was rude speaking to me. I had basic questions about the hotel. His demeanor appeared that he didnt want to help anyone or want to even be there at his job. The other staff were super friendly an helpful. The Pool water was very cloudy.
The rooms are very clean and equipped, as well as the conference rooms. And the access to the casino and restaurant is very nice. It was odd that all the rooms were missing the local book, giving food, shopping, and activities nearby though. And there is no LAN for hardwired internet hookup. Overall very good experience.
Very new hotel attached to Scioto Downs racetrack and casino. Everything is very modern and the rooms are in great shape. Breakfast was very nice for my wife, son, and I. Just a 15 minute drive to the Columbus convention center, COSI, and other downtown places. Room rates were much better here than downtown. We would definitely stay again.
Ex employee. This is both a review and a warning, so please take it as is and understand that you may not agree or even believe what Ive wrote. Nice looking hotel on the outside, the inside however is slightly different. There are marks/holes in some of the hallway walls on the different floors that they dont seem to be getting around to fixing. Some of the walls are missing the little carpet piece along the bottom, and some are not even finished or properly sealed along some door frames. There are random little dips in some of the carpeting from missing floor board pieces. There was an AC/heater unit that caught fire in one of the rooms, and the fire alarms did not immediately go off, in fact, it took almost 30mins for them to finally kick on. Everyone was evacuated and very little information was passed to the guests on what was going on (you guys now know if you read this). They, last I heard since going in this morning, do NOT have a hotel license, but this could be here-say or have changed. They have failed multiple fire inspections. Not all of the rooms are getting hot water, and some rooms are not even finished being worked on. Poor organization with management, as I was originally supposed to be one thing and without any say or warning was told I am now to do this at less hours/less pay. The training they provided was either poor, or none at all (I never received any training, they just threw me in). Not all rooms beds are stripped down and refitted with clean sheets/duvets, in fact, we were told if the bed didnt look used, dont change anything (I personally am disgusted by this and refused to take part in this practice, as if I were a guest, I would be sick knowing that my beds sheets/blankets/duvet might not of been changed since last the room was occupied). Please, in respect for many of you, I in all right cannot suggest you work or stay here for your own safety and well being.PS: DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND..housekeepers are allowed to keep WHATEVER they find if they choose too, even if its your cellphone. Ive already seen a few leaving the hotel with half packs of beer and even some left over food. So if you do decide to stay here, PLEASE verify you have everything before you check out, or you might not see it again
Our family had a reservation for June 14, check out June 15. We were in the area due to a family function and traveled a distance. We arrive for check in, get our key, locate our room, and someone was already occupying our room. The man was not happy we opened his room. By the time we made it back to the front desk, that individual was already complaining. Ultimately, they could not provide a room to us, no vacancies at other hotels, late night disaster for our family with children. We had and still have our confirmation documentation. It would appear they double booked or gave our room to somebody. The staff member and I discussed the situation and we left. I never received a call back and management never returned my call. Poor management overall, poor public relations overall. It is June 30th and still no correspondence between us. Additionally, while waiting on the fiasco, the lobby restroom was a mess; beer bottles, cans, snuff can, no paper towels, urine everywhere. I would assume this was from all the slot playing individuals being inebriated. Ironically, this is the 2nd time this has happened to us while being in the Columbus, Ohio, area. Being a veteran and Government employee, the situation frustrates me. However, having children and going through this traveling burns me up! Our rating is terrible at this time.
Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The front desk night staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location was convenient if going to the casino which was right there but a little bit of distance from the stadium which we were there to visit. I would stay here again.
This hotel is a great place to stay. They have a saltwater pool, meeting rooms, gym and a guest laundry. It is connected to the Scioto Downs race track as well as the th Eldorado Casino. There are several restaurants and bars located in the casino area. They do serve a free hot breakfast until 10 am. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, having a large flat screen TV and mini fridge. Single king rooms have a pull out sofa bed which is also very comfortable. There are only a few issues that I have. I dont like the sliding door on the bathroom because I feel like I dont really have privacy. The bathroom floor is tiled and sometimes very cold. I usually lay down a couple bath towels as rugs.
I would like to bring to your attention the excellent services of an employee of yours that has assisted me on many occasions. Katie is a true asset to your team as she is friendly, knowledgeable and a hard worker! Katie has gone above and beyond to help me any time she could and I have witnessed her giving this same kind of exemplary service to other guests as well. It is employees such as Katie that make my decision as to where to stay an easy one... Hampton Inn! I highly recommend Katies work be acknowledged and used as an example for all your employees.
Do you enjoy being woken up by the fire alarm? This is the place for you! Brought the family here hoping for som rest after a very long day of traveling. Rest wasnt possible 4 times in under 2 hours the firealarm went off with strobe lights flashing. Ended up leaving after spending less than 2 hrs in the room. Facilities look nice and new. Pool isnt even finished, staff could use additional training. Dont let people check-in or book a room when you know the firealarm is having issues. Staff wasnt particularly friendly and didnt welcome me as a Hilton Honors member.
I was over charged for the stay I was told there would not be an issue with my under 21 daughter getting food from the connected restaurant/casino the fire alarms went off and frightened us the room next to our the people where extremely loud and a woman was screaming I am Livid
Usually a very nice place to stay but this time there was no hot water at check-in so went to casino for a few hours and came back to room. Still none. When contacted front desk, was told to let the water run for 20-30 minutes because it has been taking awhile to get to upper floors. We were on the second floor 😤 No hot shower in the morning for us.
Could have been better. Was on a floor and kids screaming all night. Front desk man William was rude and kept saying there were no rooms I called back the next morning and they had plenty of rooms. Ill take my business to the Rising Star at least they know how to treat customers and address issues instead of saying call this number and no one answers.
My husband and I stayed on March 18th. This is a very nice hotel, however the fire alarms going off a 1:15am, firetruck left around a quarter till 2, we go back in, no explanation on what was going on. Alarms go off again, phone rings, my husband answers they hang up, I immediately called front desk and asked what is going on, she said get your belongings we have to evacuate, they will not let us back in. Did not offer another hotel, did not explain what was going on. They definitely need to have some type of protocol on what to do in a emergency! Drove 50 miles home at 3am. She did say nobody will be charged for the night. And I will make sure we are not.
This place is Famous for the bait and switch. When booking thru the Casino Web site. They book you in a room at a different location. About 10 miles away. When your under the impression it is connected. False Advertising! Stay away! Very rude on phone and worse in person! Avoid!
I love it hear and when I need peace and quiet to get my mind right and a better understanding of the direction my life is going in I come here for the night to escape reality. They are like no there casino in Columbus and the staff is very nice and helpful havent had a problem yet here and you can gamble if you are feeling lucky. I recommend Scioto downs Hampton inn at least give them a try
Super awesome place to visit. Right off the main drag of a very busy highway 5Mins from South High Street Columbus. Which if you never been there please do yourself a favor and drive around and soak in the Rich History it offers. Anyway. After you make it past the MadMax style road traffic you now enter a grand parking lot that has an abundance of parking space. And by coincidence landscaping that is ALWAYS under some form or another of construction. Once you have found your secure parking spot you enter the Hotel. This is all an experience one has to have to truly say they have done it all .
This place is soooooo disgusting you may want to check your bed to see if it has been changed most beds aren’t they only change the pillow cases and sometimes the sheets your shower is not been properly cleaned check under drain and also check for scum on or under walls in shower if you decide to book a room here please be aware you may leave a little itchy it’s not the detergent on the sheets ( wink wink ) check for little crawling bugs who bite and come home with you fortunely I did not have this problem but room 339 , 221 212, 116 ,109 , 107 439 , 432 , 327 , 228 and also a few more I may have missed I wasn’t going say anything and let them handle it correctly but they screwed me over 20 hours my last check due to me not wanting to take bugs home in so if this review can helpAnyone please like and tell a friend !
The entire staff is amazing , very warm and welcoming ...its finally nice to stay in a hotel where customer service is the @1 priority ...Jeff,Toby katie and mohomad are always gracious front desk staff ...if there is the slightest problem with anything from your room down to the breakfast buffet they will always give 110% to make things right...i stay at this hotel 5-6 times a month for work and can be assured everything is perfect......your not just a customer here ....your FAMILY

2022-03-22For $150/night range this place was a major disappointment. I truly wish I could post pics of the place I stayed last night for the same kind of money.. But in all fairness this is a Hampton Inn it is not a Hilton... so I kinda have to take that into consideration. However at least the room could be clean and odor free which it is not. I stay in hotels 300 nights a year and I will certainly never stay in this one again

2021-12-31We were a little hesitant about or stay given the recent poor reviews as we chose Hampton Inns on purpose due to the consistent quality, cleanliness and breakfast. However, our stay was very nice. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the lady tending to the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with all of the amenities. The only questionable item was the fitted sheet...nothing major just inside out and wrinkly like it was already slept in but not dirty or anything.

2022-06-15Stayed here for a week, Everyone was very nice, staff was very attentive. Enjoyed full free breakfast everyday, usually scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles. Then walk next door to the adjoining building, Brew Brothers next to the casino for dinner. If you are in the area, it is a nice uncomfortable place to stay.

2022-06-06This was perfect for our needs. No complaints. Comfy beds and rooms. Clean. No bugs (yes, we check each room we stay in). LOVED being connected to the casino. Only 4 stars BECAUSE IF they would add room service...holy moly! I would have been in heaven! Great place to stay! We WILL be back. Btw, bathroom pics was AFTER I used the sink and got a towel out.

2022-03-21I arrived March 15 and until today March 20 no room cleaning . The receptionist said me that the First room cleaning is after 4 days .Yesterday morning I finished towels (3) I made claim and in the evening I received towels . My expectation was today room cleaning but this Is the sixth day without .Is the first time in my life this kind of situation.I understand COVID problem but usually hotel give services and not problems. The hotel is an Hilton Honor but is not an Honor for HiltonI made today the second claim.

2022-06-21Expected better, but was a decent stay. Our room had mildew all along the floor of the shower, we went out and bought a tub mat to stand on. (I was not given the option to upload pics with this review)There was a router in the closet that flashed continously, bright and different colors, which could not be closed off for sleeping because it was a barn door that also was the bathroom door.Breakfast was good and the area was clean and upkept. The staff was polite and courteous.TheDiamond parking far outnumbered the handicap spots. There were no liners in trash cans, we put our own liners in, because we prefer to be tidy in our stay.I expected more given the fact it is a new hotel and rather costly, overall it was a decent stay.

2022-05-03I stayed last night on the 3rd floor. This is my 2nd time staying here. The hotel suite was nice and very clean. The room was big. The pool was not open. There was a note on the door to the pool. I hope it will be on my next time. Please fix the shower wall and the shower faucet.

2022-04-20Not recommended.Their room prices are higher. The service especially the rooms is downhill as if no one cares and the customer doesnt matter. And if they get the chance to charge you more then they take it.The discounts they used to offer they just dont want to offer here. And the Hilton Honors program the corporation does nothing about it.

2022-06-01The pool heater was broken and the water was freezing which was a huge disappointment as thats what we brought the kids to do. The bathrooms in the lobby smelled horrible, digital key was disabled at 930 stating we checked out but checkout was noon and we were still there, check in is at 4 but at 5 our room still wasnt ready wasnt a big deal they just moved us, wifi was horrible so the kids couldnt swim nor play or watch their electronics so they were bored in the room....we have stayed several times before and unfortunately the quality has gone way down

2022-04-02I am a Hilton Honors member - Nurse/ First responder - I have attempted to book multiple times using my “Honors discount “ which is the same price as I would pay without being a member. I have never been able to utilize my first responder discount which is suppose to be 25% as they have always informed me “ no rooms available For this rate “So what’s an “ honors discount or appreciation discount for being a first responder “ when Hilton and this hotel does not honor it ?Way to say “Thanks” Hampton Inn !!!! I have been shown I am obviously NOT appreciated
