Upon arrival at 4:20 pm room was still not cleaned or ready. Had no idea when it would be ready, they actually offered to βcancel our reservationβ after driving 2 hours to get there. After finally getting in at 5:30. (Check in time is 3) the Wifi did not work, weβre told βnothing they could doβ. Needed internet for work. Swimming pool has broken tiles and a towel over them by the ladder. Ran out of forks for breakfast. This whole experience was really disheartening. Was given late check out, after asking for it. The owner of this location is cheap and his poor employees suffer with broken equipment and unhappy visitors
Dont understand why the pool is still not open. Reviews from TEN months ago are when guests started saying the pool was closed for maintenance. And DONT use the covid excuse. Also, if the Wi-Fi is not the fastest youve ever experienced, stay away. It is very easy to hire a local company to put in a commercial-grade appliance as well as sufficient access points.
Bought ice cream. Freezer doesnt freeze.Checked in couple hrs early and although the room was entirely ready they charged me $35 extra to get in. π thought that was pretty cheap of them. Will stick to Best Western in the future. No way to notify front desk Im ready to check out at the front desk.Stood there good 15 minutes hoping to get someone to notice camera. Other than that it was clean
I have been staying at this hotel for multiple weekends from August thru December and some in between. This used to be a great hotel. I was here a few weeks ago and for 2 people we only had 2 pillows each for a king size bed. When we called the front desk we were told there were no other pillows available. For the last several weeks each room I have stayed in the light over the sink has not been working and there have been no tissues. Now I check in this weekend and their are no tissues but no soap for the room. This is unsanitary especially in this world of a pandemic and COvid. How am I supposed to feel like my room is clean and I am clean when there is no soap in the hotel. So are the employees not using soap as well??? You try to talk to a manager and it falls on deaf ears. We are being charged more for our stays than before but we have less amenities.
***FIRST OFF, I read a review from someone complaining about the staff not wearing masks... stay home if you are still that scared. I find it refreshing to be able to SEE AND HEAR the people I interact with.Im sure you are looking for the short version so here it is: I would definitely stay here again.Beautiful facility. Slept great. Very modern look. I stayed in a Studio style with a single king bed. Loved the open feel of the room. Bathroom was very spacious as well. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, Q-tips and cotton balls provided. Million dollar walk-in glass door shower with a $5 SHOWER HEAD lol. Cant win them all. There was a sign posted at check in, the pool and hot tub were under construction. We were traveling for business so not a big deal, but amenities like that are what attract customers and help justify the price. If I had been with family, I would not have been happy about it. Breakfast was nice. All the basics. Nice dining area but not a lot of room. If the hotel were at capacity I think it would get uncomfortable in there fast.
We stayed here 6 nights and have no complaints. It was well cared for, quiet, and the staff was very helpful. We had a hot breakfast each day. We loved the way the room was set up.My husband had a wonderful area for his computer and papers. The office chair was very comfortable. All in all, we give them a 10 for a very pleasant stay.
Housekeeping was advertised as on request, but when requested and after the request was confirmed with the front desk, housekeeping was not received. There was no security curtain covering our window, and upon informing the front desk of this issue, no action was taken on the missing curtain. No attempt to have it fixed, just, We dont have any other rooms available, a response that did not address the problem at all.Hot water was not kept hot during the night at the breakfast bar.Mask policy in the hotel was incredibly inconsistent, and a number of front desk employees did not know what the specific policy was.The WiFi signal was incredibly weak throughout the stay.I would not recommend this hotel.
Very nice and clean hotel. If your a business traveler the hotel Wi-Fi needs an upgrade. Itβs very slow and sometimes spotty.I have two different cell providers (AT&T and Verizon) and I only got one bar inside hotel.Itβs like the hotel is in a cellular dead spot.On a busy night the hotel may only have 12 vehicles parked in their lot.
I give them a 3 because the customer service is excellent and they can only do so much with bad management and ownership. We come here every weekend from September to December during football season as my son is a student athelete and then at least once a month for the rest of the year. We are paying top dollar for our stays and when we get here this week, there is no soap or tissues. Last week there was no shampoo. They have a sign that the pool and hottub are not working. The funny thing is we have been coming here since 2019 and it has never been available and their pillows are terrible. We bring our pillows from home. I have spoken to many other customers and the sad thing is they all bring their own pillows. What is this summer camp or a 4 star hotel. I have been to other Hampton inns and they were run a lot better than this.We are Diamond members and have invested to much to go somewhere else now. Just want corporate to hear how poorly management and ownership is here.
The people at the desk were awsome. The place was very clean without having that awful sanitized smell. Breakfast nice.. Pool closed so kids werent happy.. Beds very comfy. The reason for only 4 stars is the bathroom door. Weirdest thing Ive seen. A barn door that doesnt lock or even completely close. Can see right in. Bathroom privacy is something I take for granted.Didnt like that at all.
Lacked basic amenities like bar soap, kleenix or coffee cups. Doesnt really cater to out of towners with respect to covid protocols--staff doesnt wear masks at all, which I guess is fine for locals, but had I known, I would not have stayed there. Ive been to a lot of Hilton properties, this one was the worst. I guess the best I can say is it is probably better than some worse hotel, but among Hiltons various brands, this was the worst Ive experienced.
We dont generally get to this part of Ohio, but were in town for a funeral. This hotel was the most reasonably priced in the area, in my opinion. The service was good. I was irritated that, due to the Coronavirus, only cold breakfast was served. Thats not the fault of the staff or the hotel management, but it would have been nice to have gotten a warning when we booked (online). The room was clean; the fit and finish of the bathroom (always a pet peeve of mine) was very good. Overall, Id say we had a pleasant stay.
Cell service is terrible I booked a room in complaint for my job. Checked in via the Hilton app which I use 4x weekly and they put no show on my receipt almost cost me my job. Never will be back apparently they donβt do no contact guest. Donβt email me donβt call Iβm not changing this. Congratulations you earned it.Sincerely,Hilton honors diamond member
My daughters and I stayed here when visiting the University of Mount Union. We reserved a suite which was one large open room with 2 queen beds, a sleeper sofa, and a desk. There was also a large wet bar with coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. In addition to the tea and coffee packets, we were treated to a bag of microwave popcorn.Check in was quick and the staff was very nice. Shortly after we arrived in our room, the front desk called to see how we liked our room and asked if there was anything else we needed. The hotel is set back from the road and was very quiet. There is a heated indoor pool and hot tub. Additionally there was hot water and coffee in the eating area 24 hours a day.Breakfast was tasty. There were cheese omelets, turkey sausage links, and something called bagel toppers which were bagel halves topped with cheese spread and sprinkled with bits of ham and egg. Additionally there were packets of grits, an oatmeal bar, bread and pastries, cereal, cut fruit, and two kinds of waffle irons. A traditional one and one that made four mini waffles. We would definitely stay there again.
Very nice hotel! Contemporary room was very clean and comfortable! The staff are friendly and helpful! We have really enjoyed our stay here. -Updated- Check out was a breeze. I cant stress enough how friendly the staff and employees were! Also super clean! Would stay again.
First off, this was the 3rd hotel we stayed at on our trip to see family and friends and by far the worst. The day turn receptionist was not friendly and quite frankly lied to my friend about the elevators working, she called to make reservations the day after we arrived and the lady at the front desk assured her the elevators were working, She is 78 and has trouble getting up steps after her stroke. She was booked on the 2nd floor. The internet didnβt work, which made my son and his friend extremely upset and left with nothing to do. I believe we should have been told about these things before checking in. I usually stay at the Holiday inn express when I visit Ohio but thought I would try Hampton since it was new, big mistake... never again!!!!
This was not a good stay. The hotel was struck by lightning the night before our stay (fully aware this was out of their control). This knocked the power out to the hotel which means no elevators, limited air-conditioning, no Wi-Fi. We were in town to photograph a wedding, so that means we had a significant amount of pretty heavy equipment. They put us on the fourth floor. I asked if there was a first floor room available and was told they could not put more people on the first floor because of social distancing. So we hoof it with large bags of heavy equipment up eight flights of stairs to the fourth floor several times a day for three days. Thereβs no reason to social distance in a hotel as you stay in your own room, away from other patrons. Thatβs like saying the apartment next to you hast to move out because theyβre too close proximity in the building to your apartment. Our first room had no air and was 89Β°. I told them the air was not working and asked for a different room. They kept us on the 4th floor and moved us to a room that had less amenities, smaller bed, downgraded shower, and cost less nightly than what we booked and still charged us our original rate. The room was not well cleaned, there was hair all over the bathroom floor, food stains on our wall, what looked like blood on our door, and a dirty toilet and seat. We never received housekeeping so no replacement soap items. They were available but no one would bring them to the room because we were on the 4th floor so if we wanted them we had to go get them. The staff was nice but not accommodating in anyway. I will not stay here again and will think twice before booking a Hampton brand hotel anywhere in the future.
This place was amazing from the friendly staff to the beautiful rooms! We enjoyed our 1 night stay! If your going swimming donβt jump in quickly the pool gives you a chill but the hot tub was amazing!I would suggest though bringing your own food if you donβt like continental breakfasts as Iβm autistic I learned the hard way that I didnβt like what was offered!
Im giving this hotel a one star out of five due to the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and honesty of the General Manager. A situation occurred which was finally resolved after having to call the corporate office. The general manager of this hotel spoke with me the night that we checked in assuring me that I would be refunded for our stay and that he would call me the very next morning when he arrived at 9 a.m. and let me know that everything had been taken care of. 5 days later I still had not received a phone call or a refund and I had called two previous times and left a message asking for the manager to return my call. still no response and continued to get the run around from the front desk associate talking over me and telling me that the manager was not available any of the times that I had called. I know Hiltons policy is when asked to speak with a general manager you should transfer them right away. For the simple fact that I had to call multiple times and then call the corporate office just to get the manager to do what he said he was going to and still did not have the courtesy to pick up the phone when asked to speak with him really shows me how he treats his guests. As a General manager you are the face of the hotel and should live by the standard in which your company thrives on. His lack of honesty, courtesy, and professionalism in my book is completely unacceptable. I hope that no other guests are treated the way that my family was in this situation. My advice to future guests.. If you are ever promised a refund or a phone call, make sure that you follow up with corporate or it wont happen. On a better note I will say thank you to the lady at the corporate office who was more than willing to help, was very apologetic, and really showed what Hilton is all about.
Great experience! Me and my family were staying here on a trip to see some family, and had a very good experience. The room was clean, the pool was nice, the staff was good, and breakfast was really good too. The only trouble we experienced was there were a bunch of people that came in for a bascketball tournament and they got very loud pretty late at night, but we called front desk and they took care of it! I would recommend this place!!
The room was mostly clean except the imprint of a nude woman on the curtains. Looked like she has been pressed to the window curtains while nude and covered in oil. Staff was seemed busy when checking in as we had to wait a few minutes for someone to appear. No breakfast due to covid .
Stayed here while attending my mothers funeral. As soon as the staff realized the reason for our stay, they immediately offered a bereavement discount and even hand delivered a condolences card with a small gift. They did the same for my son and his family when they arrived. So 11 stars to the staff. The hotel is very new and has some very nice features like bedside USB ports. Bath and shower were excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Ive stayed in hotels for more than double or even triple the price that werent half as nice. Great job Hampton properties!
Lack of professionalism, lack of honesty from general manager. Rooms were not as clean as they shouldβve been. Curtains had many stains along with some towels. I also did not want to sleep in our bed due to finding strange bugs on the sheets and under the pillows. Spoke to front desk about housekeeping and said they would send somebody up to replace the bedding and the towels and housekeeping never showed up to fix anything. We will not be booking a room at this facility again in the future.
Previous reviews from 3months prior to this one mentioned one of the elevators was broke and issues with wifi. Unfortunately it appears nothings changed, still only one elevator and the wifi is the worst of any hotel Ive stayed in. If you need internet youll end up relying on your cell service. Also the THERMOSTAT does not actually work with the wall heater/AC. I had it on heat to 72 and after 2 hours it was still blowing cold air, then I popped the cover plate on the heater (the one that said This unit is controlled by wall thermostat) and of course the heater display said it was set to cold at 68. Ive never had such issues with a Hampton.
Breakfast was wonderful. Staff upon arrival was not very helpful trying to connect with the other people in our party while we had no reception in the lobby on our phones while trying to carry in a large wedding dress, but I can understand the policies they need to up hold. One of our beds had blood from the previous people, on top of and underneath the comforter, but were very quick to come and help correct this problem, and remove the dirty toweles from the room that were also their on arrival to the room. They had a pool, that was nice.
Very crowded when we were there, with a couple of youth ball teams there. Saturday night was very noisy, on into early Sunday morning. People running up and down the halls, loud voices in hallway and from floor above, much ceiling-shaking thumping from above. I dont fault the hotel (too much) for the behavior of the guests (more the fault of the team chaperones and the parents), but I do fault the thin walls and ceilings. And perhaps the hotel could have taken stronger measures to maintain quiet. So not the restful nights sleep needed for the next days long drive.
Found food in the bed and rude managers. Our room was not ready when we tried to check in at 5pm - we missed the wedding reception dinner because of it! Management told us there was nothing they could do to make our experience better. In addition, we found a note on the front desk calling us dangerous even though we respectfully voiced our complaints. WORST hotel experience ever.
The hotel is the only dead zone in Alliance. You wont have service while youre here. On top of that, our first day we were told the wifi was getting fixed and we would have it that same day. Which is fine. Except we didnt have WiFi until the day we checked out. Hard to do business when theres no internet to do business on. Next time Ill consider something in Canton.
The management from the location I worked is very poor. Management would not give me my employee discount on the hotel rooms. The GM and I had a set up meeting about many concerns I had with one of the housekeepers and he proceeded to tell me that I was the problem and started using very nasty language towards me. Then, three of the housekeepers, myself included, had a meeting with him about concerns we had and he laughed in all of our faces and said we shouldnt have any problems in 6 hour work days. On top of that we were always understaffed because management didnt want to hire anyone who didnt have their own vehicle. We often ran out of towels and other necessities needed to perform a normal work day, leaving guests unhappy and things improperly cleaned. Most of the housekeepers would come in early and take all of the towels, so they had enough for their shift and could go home. We, housekeeping, had to deal with one of the staff members stealing our tips that guests left in the rooms for us because management didnt want to do anything about it. There was many more problems with this company and I finally realized that I wanted to quit when my GM told myself and another housekeeper, βanything that happened outside of his office was out of his controlβ. This was the most mentally draining job Ive ever had to deal with and I was only with this company for 8 months.
Too noisy, kids running in the rooms above most of the night , called the front desk many times to little avail hot tub broken for three weeks, so unavailable, and breakfasts were not up to Hampton standards. Last year this was a first class place to stay, this year very poor
Rooms are ok, they do not back satisfaction guarantee, I reserved a handicap room, had emails and screenshots of reservations, guy said I didnt reserve handicap room after I showed him proof. I fell 3 times in shower that weekend, they offered me a shower stool but it never showed up, I called 800 number and rep told me I had the handicap reservation and this guy changed but I couldnt get money back, I got points for future stay
I stayed one night. The only reason I give it a 4 is because they didnt have any smoking rooms. The ammenitys were all 5 star tho. From the free continental breakfast that serves everything from cereal to eggs and sausage to fruits and waffles, to the complimentary WiFi, to the oversized comfy beds w all neccessary docking stations at ur bedside. Theres a huge pool. The staff is cortious and outgoing. Will help u at a drop of a dime. I didnt want to leave the next morning. I knew that the minute i got into the bed. Put in a call to front desk and got a free late check out. I slept in! O and the place itself is very clean. No pubic hairs on their sheets!
Location is 25 min from the Pro Football HOF so it is fairly convenient. Hotel is great - brand new built in March 2017. Breakfast is excellent every morning - hot, multiple options, large window for access. Free apples, oranges, cookies, and coffee throughout the day. Small, but solid gym and pool/spa. Staff all very friendly and nice. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave. Definitely a good place to stay for a HOF trip.
I was double charged to separate cards and there was no attempt to recompensate me for the charges I incurred as a result of the staffs incompetence. When I informed them of the issue, I was told have a nice day. Bye. And they hung up on me. Ill never stay at another Hilton owned hotel chain.
Was at the Hampton in Alliance, Ohio for a business meeting. Their new building was clean and neat. The staff was nice. However, it was really hard to find the entrance as it is kind of hidden inside from the main road. The entrance sign was not big enough so I passed by a couple times when I first visited.
The place was incredible it has awesome laundromat big rooms a perfect beds I love that it has continental breakfast its a little hard to see off to the side of the road but thats okay though on minor equip, the front office was very nice I would definitely recommend this place to whoever is passing through
A new Hampton Inn property that falls down in a few areas. The bathroom doors are sliding barn design, which do not fully close. In other words, there is no privacy for bathroom users and room occupants. The HVAC thermostat is non-intuitive. And the LED lighting is cool white high Kelvin, making every space feel cold. An otherwise clean property that needs to break away from poor design and detail choices.
Housekeepers are very low paid with NO opportunity for raises. The ones that do their jobs are EXPECTED to carry the lazy slackers. So therefore they are paid the same as the lazy ones and are EXPECTED to do more. Not only that, but when I voiced my opinion to my supervisor, I was told I would be written up. Ok. Thats fine. But instead I received a text, yes, a TEXT from the general manager saying I was fired. I was personally asked last week to say something about the GM for an upcoming recognition ceremony. I said that he was open and available to talk. I now recant that statement since he didnt have the balls to speak to me directly. Very unprofessional. I will not give this place recommendations for their business or employment. I HAD to give you 1 star in order to post. But if I could give negative stars, this place would get 5. Also, corporate office will be notified.
It was clean...thats the good points. Beds are uncomfortable..pillows are bad... weird furniture arrangement. The television was not in front of the bed but off to the side. Had to physically pick up the the tv and turn it. To even be able to see it. Poor water pressure.. Oh and Dont be hungry for Breakfast.. Lots of cheap sugary stuff .. weird cereals.. one meat... some sausages sliced like pepperoni with the consistency of slim jims.. toaster was not setup... burnt toast till smoking.. and Oh Joy... waffles.. throw in cold potatoes.. and not even cheap powdered eggs.. Sad.. dont waste your time getting up to this dissapointment. Its Alliance. So This might be great for this town..lol Dont pay full price and you will feel less dissapointed. Oh.. Staff was friendly.

2022-05-17Location is great. Located directly behind a Wendys and across the street from a grocery store, its very convenient to food options. The hotel is immaculate. Our room is very cozy. The mattress is comfy. I just dont care for the pillows. Too soft. The whole hotel is very well kept and modern. Only downside is that the jacuzzi is down and apparently has been for awhile. They blamed supply chain but I just replaced the pump (same issue here) in mine without waiting more than a week. Seems like an excuse really which is surprising considering how well everything else is maintained. Staff is very friendly from front desk to housekeeping. Breakfast is good with lots of options.

2022-04-02Our hotel trip was amazing. We just wanted to get away for a few days. The staff was super friendly. The rooms smelled and looked very clean. The pool was in tip top shape and the continental breakfast was amazing!! Will definitely be back.

2022-05-07The hotel was very clean and well kept. The room was very clean. The staff person working the desk couldnt have cared less about us being there or not. Maybe she was having a bad day. In the room we had to reprogram the thermostat to get the air conditioning to blow cold air, and the screen was really bright when we turned the lights out. After a couple minutes of fussing with it, we held the brightness button and got the screen off. If you want cold air, get into the menu and press buttons until it says Cooling Only. It worked after we fussed with it for a while. They will not do housekeeping for less than 5 days. So no fresh towels, etc, unless you go down and ask for them. All in all, ok for the price. It was very clean and a safe location so I was happy about that.

2022-04-30Im so glad we found this place so last minute. We were on the road for hours from a long drive from California, we couldnt find any hotels with rooms available in Canton, Ohio everything was full and some even fully booked for the next four days! We decided to keep driving a little longer and thankfully we found this one. This place has a delicious complementary breakfast π oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, waffle, bagels, cold cereal, sausage patties and lots more! I will totally come back to this place. Oh and the bed was just heaven π only had about 3 hours of sleep but woke up well rested.

2022-05-24Mostly issues around the service. Staff were mostly not manning the desk and had to be asked to replenish the breakfast bar items. Not a huge deal, but at other places staff actively monitor this. Had two rooms, neither of which had cups for water nor did they have coffee cups for the in room brewing- lids, etc, but no cups. Leftover food from previous occupant was in the fridge. Didnt look like the room had been vacuumed, and staff didnt empty the trash in the elevator lobby of our floor so the rotting food was starting to smell significantly. Been in far worse places but I have higher expectations for Hampton Inns.

2022-03-23Our room smelled clean and was very clean. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday had good food selection, but Monday had limited selection and a note saying it was due to staffing issue. Overall, very nice accommodations.

2022-05-03Not a single time over two weeks of staying there, was anyone at the front desk. Every time I had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to come out. Breakfast was incredibly minimal and lacking. Service was lacking and was unable to enjoy my normal diamond benefits.

2022-07-06So I guess my 1st one didnt save . So here it goes. Today is my 6th day I got 2 rooms ( supposed to have been ajoining ) 412 & 403 . Upon arrival we got out the elevator to the room and found piles of trash outside the elevator. Two days later we were still asking for it to be removed . We were told to bag our trash and put it in the hallway with our dirty towels , only to have a hallways full of dirty towels and trash for 2 more days. In 6 days they have taken the trash off this floor 2x and we took our trash downstairs and they lady at the front desk showed us where to put it outback . ( no lie) . The last two days we havent had any towels at all. After being told 3 different times yesterday that they were either washing or drying . 4x today starting at 630 am . Just got clean towels at 930 pm. Trashy trashy trashy. Room is clean if you clean it yourself. Staff is friendly if you dont need ,want ,or expect anything. Or any of services you ate paying for . Spent a small fortune for my family to come on vacation . Basically it was just a place to sleep. Would never invite anyone up here to visit me as I would be embarrassed for ppl to know how much I am paying for horrible service and mediocre accommodations at best.

2022-05-29Room smelled horrible. Took 10 minutes to check in and we were the only ones checking in at that time. No coffee cups or drinking cups in the room. Breakfast today had no bacon or sausage, no eggs, no muffins, no coffee. Plain biscuits or plain bread were the only options. I visited the breakfast room 3 times between 8:15 am and 9:30 am. and found regular roast coffee on the 3rd try. Housekeeping wonβt attend to your room until youβve stayed 5 days. This used to be a decent hotel but is terrible now. New owner? New management? I donβt know why this place has slipped so badly. If I were in a third world hotel I could maybe be more forgiving. The front desk is never attended and the clerks are not friendly. I will never stay here again and quite frankly I wonder about the Hampton brand now. Somebody from Hampton corporate should visit this hotel and see how bad it is. Worst hotel stay ever.

2022-03-20Shower in room was disgusting ,full of mold and rust as was the vanity sink. They will only clean and makeup room EVERY FIVE [5] DAYS but no reduction in charges for such poor service. Hotel is in a cell dead spot so you have to depend on the hotel WIFi which is more than bad,1 bar and kick off every 2 or 3 min, previous reviews show that this has been a problem for years that the poor management does feel they should correct. Hampton Inns are supposed to be a full service hotel because this is what you are paying for and expect when staying at a Hilton property. I stay in Hilton properties 60 to 75 nights a year and this has to be worst managed Hilton property I have ever stayed at,would not recommend this hotel to anyone
