First time eating here and it was amazing! Waffle fries had the perfect crunch/perfect amount of crispness. Hamburger was amazing I forgot to get a pic of the whole thing but I got pic of half of it lol. Definitely would eat here again!If its your 1st time eating here you get a free cinnamon roll!
Super fast and friendly service! Portion sizes are huge too. Just what you want in a neighborhood diner - I can see why this place has been in business so long! I got the Reuben Omelet and it was delicious!
First the pros. It has a great diner atmosphere. All seating is at a unique counter thats shaped with Us that allow the servers to walk in between customers. It was crowded with a happy buzz. Service was friendly. The famous cinnamon rolls are enormous and tasty. Not the best Ive ever had, but good. Breakfast is served anytime.Cons. The hamburger was just ok.I ordered medium well but it was medium to med. rare. The homemade hamburger buns were tasty but not special enough that I would have known had they not said so. The french were good but not great. Too soggy for my taste.I recommend it for the atmosphere and I want to try it again.
Me and my best friend visit Hamburger Inn every Sunday for their delicious food! The service is always good and the people there have the kindest faces. Ashley and Bree have always been the greatest servers, too! We get in the door and they already have our drinks ready as we’re sitting down. Love this place! ❤️ And the cinnamon rolls are HUGE and worth the money
Visited for breakfast. Everything was wonderful! I had a half order of home made sausage gravy and biscuits and that was PLENTY! Also came with a side of potatoes - thin sliced and fried. YUM! My BF had a french toast sandwich that was also VERY tasty. GREAT diner atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Food came out quickly. Definitely worth the trip to Delaware!
OMG so disappointed. Ordered 2 Greek burgers and 1 bacon and blue burger all cooked medium. We got 3 burgers with spinach only cooked to death!! Called them back and they refused to do anything about it. When pushed we were told to call back later. So disappointed in the service and quality!!
After driving a couple of hours south for a golf outing, we found this nostalgic-looking diner in Delaware, OH. Its a throwback in the most wonderful way possible. Equipped with old-style bar stools and counter, all the food is cooked right in front of you. Our waitress was amazing and courteous! We left with two of their world-famous cinnamon buns as a tasty treat home. I will definitely be back if Im in the area.

Its been awhile since I have stopped by for breakfast at the hamburger inn here in Delaware. Today I had a day off work and decided to give it a try.After sitting I was quickly acknowledged by my server who took my order. I ordered the hometown favorite plate, simple enough. Eggs scrambled soft, sausage patties home fries and wheat toast with a glass of milk to round things off.My meal was served very quickly, I assumed because there were not many customers at the time.So heres the thing.. the eggs were an overcooked mess. The sausage patties must have been prepared yesterday or the day before that. The patties were overcooked and chewy, like hard rubber. The potatoes were not home fries in any sense of the word. Im guessing those were sliced, microwaved and tossed on the grill for half a minute with zero seasoning.When my server stopped back by let her know the issue, she was very apologetic but I assured her that it was not her fault. In fact it was the cook, if you could call him that, that was just bad.I paid my bill, I would never ask for anything for free, I tipped the young server and I left.That is the last I will ever be seen in Hamburger Inn.I am no Karen type, I cannot recall the last time I complained about a meal while eating out. But this was truly bad.

Hamburger in Ive been to in the past but when I had there breakfast it was quite good. Not only a great way to cure a hangover but there gyro and Greek omelet was good and there french toast was quite good with powder sugar. Thou I havent eaten most of the breakfast items they had it was good in my opinion
The food made my room mate and I sick, burgers where very greasy, and thin, all bun. the mushrooms where great. the guy cooking the food was awesome! But for the price of the food, how dirty, nasty the burger/bar inn was I can only give one star. Now for the famous cinnamon roll, it was very, very dry, stale and to cover that up they dumped a ton of maple goo on it, the roll was completely covered in yuck. My burger, mushrooms, drink came to 17 plus dollars??? Must have been the tomato I had added to the burger. Feed the dog a burger and he got sick also.
Old school diner with good home made food. Low bar stool seating around 3 separate circular areas, open kitchen and prep. This is a place to go for hearty breakfast and burgers but no frills!
A very charming place in a town we just stumbled into one evening. I really enjoy the layout; several long counters the servers can easily access. The only setback was the unseasoned fries, but otherwise it was a nice dinner.
Small local old-school countertop diner. You may have to wait for a seat, but trust me, its worth the wait! I never had anything that didnt taste delicious. Because of the high volume, sometimes the wait staff is juggling half the customers but dont expect to be ignored. They work hard and do a great job, and the cooks do an even better job at keeping up with the demand. Oh, and you can get a beer or a mixed drink with you breakfast, lunch, or supper!
Loved the food. Make sure you get a chocolate milkshake, or even better the buckeye! Just wish it wasnt so far away from Columbus, but thats part of its charm.
Had a late lunch here on Friday! Started with appetizers of Onion Rings and The Gravy Smothered Fries. Both were served Fast, Hot and were Delicious! Everyone ordered a burger and made it a Platter. 2-3/4lb burgers, a 1/2lb burger and a 1/4lb burger were then served. 2 with Seasoned Waffle Fries and 2 with Fresh Cut Fries. We had the Hangover Burger, Mushroom and Swiss, Greek Burger and The Western Burger. No one had any complaints! In fact we talked through our whole meal about the freshness of the ingredients and everyone was happy that they toast the inside of the buns! The patties were hot, juicy and cooked to Perfection. The ranch must be homemade, because I have never tasted a better ranch dressing. Same with the Tzaiki sauce on the Greek Burger. We were all surprised by the amount of fries that were served with the burgers. I dont believe anyone was able to finish their basket. We also had 2 Kids meals that were also larger than expected. The Sweet Tea was Amazing, as was the server, Chelsea,, who kept our glasses full. We sat on the sidewalk outside the restaurant and never felt like an after thought. With another well known restaurant across the street, we all decided, given the choice we would pick the Hamburger Inn Diner again and again!!
Great little dinner in downtown Deleware. Burger was delicious, staff was friendly. Also if it is your first time you get a cinnamon roll for free, which was so good! Be sure to check.this place out if you are in the area!
The food here is absolutely amazing! You have to try the hot dog - my boyfriend and I are very picky about our hot dogs and these were perfectly cooked. The omelets are huge and the cinnamon bun is gooey and warm. You can’t go wrong here!

One of Delawares best known and oldest diners. Its a staple for any true Delawareian born and raised here. Amazing food and good service not many places exist like this anymore. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch.

Love the old diner feel. Food took forever, we waited for about 40 minutes after we ordered. Was not worth the wait. My food tasted like old grease. So disappointed. Servers were very friendly though!

Angela was fantastic and the food was outstanding. The portions were enormous. This is a gem in downtown Delaware. The staff is wonderful, they know most customers by name.
I keep giving it chances and I get failed every time. Being from Chicago, diners like this should be extremely reasonably priced, but not at all here. I give 5 stars for its originality, but food and prices are way off and not worth it at all.
This place is set up as a typical diner with limited seating. We had a great breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous. The coffee is hot and the wait staff friendly & efficient. Surprisingly the bathrooms are big & super clean, I wasnt expecting that! I highly recommend.

Bun was good but I was really full after so I might skip the bun next time.My wife got a single with provolone cheese and shared my fries.Surprise!! We enjoy eating here, great food. Usually we get a to-go order but Friday night we stopped to dine-in. The service was great Katilyn was our server and she was amazing kept our drinks filled checked on us often to see if things were good. The seating is unusual but fun over all a great hole in the wall dinner. Looking forward to getting through their entire menu.

Awesome place! Tried for the first time and went for their breakfast. It was very good, and a very good portion for the price. When we have family come visit we bring them here because we believe this is the best place for burgers. Tonight we brought my family from out of state in for dinner and we had amazing service and the food was amazing as usual. I’m so glad we picked this restaurant to take them out to. I made sure to get the names of the staff just so I could make sure to say personally what a good job they did especially after we found out they were short staffed. My son loves coloring at the place with the stools and always enjoys his meal. My Greek salad was delicious and cheese sticks are always hot and fresh. And its always fun to watch your milkshake be prepared and topped. Atmosphere and staff are always friendly, even when I wheeled in with my giant double stroller and infant :)

We have been to Hamburger Inn probably about three times and each time gets better than the last. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I normally have their chicken salad on sourdough bread and have yet to be disappointed. For desert, we always get the cinnamon roll with ice cream. Its definitely a winner and way too much for one person to eat. I absolutely recommend sharing! Bonus tip: have them warm it up on he grill. It makes for a yummy end to the night!
We wanted to try someplace different other than the typical places so we found this place. They have the BEST burgers and food. Everything cooked perfectly. The O rings were cooked thoroughly and not burned anywhere. The burger had perfect amt of everything and melted cheese just like pics show!!! The chili is wonderful!!!! We will definitely be going back.

This place has some delicious REAL diner burgers. The fries are really good and they have like 6 different styles of french fries. They have handmade shakes. But the real kicker is the famous AMAZING cinnamon rolls.

Visited this place around 1230 PM at the end of a lunch rush. My server was energetic and my food order came out fast. The way the tables are set up you can watch the grill. The bathrooms are unisex and they were clean. My bacon cheese burger was what I expected a moist and tasty burger!

We decided to order carry out today for lunch... Mistake!!!Our complete order was wrong.... We ordered hamburgers,... all of them were plain... Mine was the Gyro burger... it was plain... fries were soggy... we ordered a mountain dew, 2 Pepsis and 1 diet Pepsi. all were regular Pepsis. Terrible lunch... Dont waste your money. Go somewhere else.....
A long wait to get a drink order in from the strung out looking staff. Then the waitress decided to discuss another customers credit score instead of brining a coffee and soda to us. We waited for ten minutes and left. The diner closed at 10pm and we got there at 9pm. No excuse for poor service and the air was so heavy with grease I am washing my jacket as I type this. We will not be returning to give this dump another chance.

Three meals, drinks, and side order of gravy cheese fries (which too were delicious) was 32 dollars.Definitely lives up to the high ranking on other review sites like TripAdvisor (#2 of all restaurants in Delaware)
Would have definitely been 5 stars, if the inside wasnt so gross. The 1,600+ reviews with 4.5 stars was what drew me and a friend in. But, honestly, I cant say Id return. My food was excellent! I ordered the 3pc Cinnamon Roll French Toast, with Bacon and Home Fries. It was REALLY DELICIOUS!!!However, the inside looked like it hadnt been cleaned in YEARS! Everything seemed to be coated in grease. The floor had a humongous grease/oil spill right in front of then bar stool seating. The bar tops were so old and looked like they were filthy. Truly, if it had not been for the reviews, I would have walked right out.This place is in no way wheelchair accessible. Someone using a wheelchair and/walker would not be able to be seated without being in the way.My food was great, but I was largely turned off from the gross surroundings.

If you walk away hungry its your fault! Generous portions and excellent service. The menu is varried from omelettes to french toast. We opted to take home maple buns, yummy, priced much lower than national chain. Seating is counter only unless you choose patio seating. Definitely plan another visit. Five in our party everyone pleased with food and service

I wish that I could give it six stars. Its everything you want out of a 100-year-old diner. You have to try the cinnamon rolls. Im pretty sure its free if its your first time.Ive had at least 20 dishes off their menu and have yet to be disappointed.
Great diner grub. Had the cheeseburger platter and upgraded to the seasoned waffle fries that did not disappoint! My husband had biscuits and gravy, what a serving! Certainly could feed two, though he made pretty good work of it himself. Busy on Saturday mid-morning but got a spot right away. We will most certainly be back.
This is such an amazing little place to eat at. I love the entire inside! No tables, all counter seating. The staff is very attentive, helpful , and friendly. They have a good cook and a good selection of food on the menu. Its a good spot for teens ,couples, friends , and family. Be sure to stop in and check it out!

Ive had breakfast twice here and love the omelets. This time I decided to get the cheeseburger. It was bad. I asked for lettuce, tomato,mayo and pickles. I received a plain Burger. Nothing on it. Why would they think someone would want a Burger that way? I was very disappointed.
The western burger I had was great with the waffle fries. The buckeye shake was made to perfection.Than can be really busy with delivery orders, so try to be patient and allot enough time when coming in. We came in around 1 on a work day and it took about an hour to finish up and leave. Once again, it isnt the staffs fault, more of the volume of orders.

Best place for breakfast in Delaware. Always very nice when you visit. My wife and I had breakfast there on Tuesday 5/18 and their patio was closed due to staffing, but still allowed us to eat outside. Wanted to make sure server knew that she was very great!
This place is the perfect greasy spoon that Ive been looking for since I moved to central Ohio. They have all the diner classics, burgers, omelets, and the BEST cinnamon rolls. The seating is really spacious and the bathrooms are clean. You will feel like youre at home visiting this place.

20 mins in line at a diner, no problem. Its a diner. 25 minutes on the stool waiting on any employee to at least acknowledge our existence. Finally an employee, drinks ordered. 5 minute wait on drinks. New employee to take order. Wait 15 minutes from receiving drinks. Additional 25 minutes for service of dinner. Mind you there was 5 servers and 2 cooks. 1hr 20minutes invested for what turned out to be a mediocre burger! Never ever again!
Great diner burgers at diner prices. For a much lower price than main stream burgers, this place delivers quality food.I got the classic 1/4 lb cheeseburger and waffle fries. It was all good, but not mind-blowing. Still, this place deserves 5 stars for doing a great job for a great price. If I lived closer, I would frequent this place often because it is budget-friendly.
If you want unmelted cheese on nachos with uncooked vegetables and nothing you ordered to be right with cold fries this place is for you. Very disappointed after hearing good things over the years. Cant say Id see a reason to do it again.

We ordered takeout and we were surprised with how well it held up when we got home. The western burger is one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time. The food was delicious and the lady who took my order over the phone and gave me my food when I got there was so friendly.

Went to Delaware area for a Christmas Tree and stopped in for a bite to eat and have to say this was the most enjoyable dining experience we had in a long time. Everything from the food to the wait staff to the general manager was excellent. DEFINITELY a place to stop in. ALSO, a must have when there are their cinnamon rolls. MUST HAVE.

This is our first time eating here. Im giving it a 3 out of 5 due to not being young kid baby friendly they didnt have high chairs and only one booster without straps. The fried mushrooms where very good the steak on the philly cheese was very bland and also had to pay extra for fries and the to go boxes are cheap and dont stay closed so my left overs spilled. Our service was pretty good

The hamburger was excellent. I had the 1/2 lb bacon cheese burger and it was huge. The fries could have been a little crisper, but the burger was the highlight.
First time here. Definitely an old school diner with good food and decent size portions, and great service. Will definitely be back

The food was not bad, but it wasnt great either. The layout on the inside was pretty cool though. Prices are very reasonable as well. We are breakfast there. I will most likely give it another try for lunch. I may update the review after that.
I came with my dad today and he got a gyro omelet and i got a lumber jack breakfast. my breakfast was good but the gyro omelet was probably the best thing i’ve ever tasted. usually i don’t like foods like that and i also do not enjoy omelets but this was beyond amazing. my favorite omelet that i’ve ever had. i 1000% recommend and i definitely will be coming back soon for this omelet.
Absolutely wonderful! It was my first time eating there, my father and uncle took me there for lunch. The sausage gravy fries were absolute heaven and the burger was perfect! Definitely a return trip in my future
Awesome little diner that features a great breakfast menu (their cinnamon rolls are very good) and, in my humble opinion, the best burger in Delaware. The service is always fantastic and the staff are very courteous. If you are in the area I absolutely recommend sticking your head in to check out this local favorite.
Our first time here... the meals were excellent. Large servings (even the 1/2 orders) . We will return next time in the area camping.
We normally eat at Son of Thurman across the street anytime were in Delaware but decided to try Hamburger Inn instead and this place is DELICIOUS! (I honestly liked my burger from here BETTER than the last Thurman burger I ordered) We ordered our meal to go and I think sometimes quality is compromised when doing so but I didnt get that impression here and I can only imagine how good their food would be eating it in, fresh right after its made. We will definitely be back!
The special today was brisket and it was great. Very tender, and tasted great. Along with the baked mac n cheese finished off with their great cinnamon rolls. Great experience. They are still figuring out some of the finer points of indoor social distance dining.

Just went to hamburger in tonight March 27th 2021 around 7:30pm. I was pleased with the server she did a well job refilling my drink and checking up on me and my buddy. However I have one major complaint... the cook darker skinned gentleman was not following health and safety protocols. He was touching raw meat with the gloves he had on then used the same gloves to touch lettuce right after putting the raw hamburger meat on the grill. Seems to me they need to train their employees on health and safety with food. Please please please fix this issue so that people don’t get sick then sue the company! Thank you.
The food is always delicious and the service is always great! They are always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is a real small town dinner feel. Its cozy and inviting and I love eating inside. I always go to get a hangover burger cuz its my favorite, and they never disappoint. Its one of my favorite places to eat. I live in columbus, and make the drive all the time, cuz I love it so much.
Very busy on Sunday at 1:30, but we were seated quickly. Our waitress was super, very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the cinnamon roll french toast!!!

Seriously delicious! After stuffing our faces with burgers, fries, and apps, my husband ordered the last 6 cinnamon rolls to go, right before a group came in to order some. So glad we got there first. They are worth mugging people over! Great food, service, and the atmosphere is fun. We will be back as its totally worth the drive from Bowling Green!
Hamburger inn is always on point food always good, cook top chefs always do there best keeping up and putting out accurate n good food.Hats off to Brandon saw him changing his gloves after everything he touched including every order and every time he got an item or items from cooler or under counter..

Ordered a hamburger cooked rare and it came well done. We ordered fish and it was way over done. They were very busy (Friday night) and it took 45 minutes to get our orders.
Overall it was decent. There was a little confusion initially with seating and we had to wait a bit (no big deal). We had decided what we wanted already and it took about 15 minutes after being sat for anyone to take our order. And then the server who took our order had to check on inventory of what I wanted and told me they were out. I ended up ordering a salad which was fine just your basic salad, a cinnamon roll, and my fiancé got a burger. Our food took a while and then we didnt get silverware so I wasnt able to eat for another 10 minutes. Then we asked about the cinnamon roll and turns out our initial server didnt put it in for us. When we went to pay, the new server (Stephanie) told us they actually had the item I wanted and sent me with an order togo. The food was decent, not as amazing as we had hoped for but still good. And the majority of the staff were happy to help if a little distracted with larger parties. But if you get stuck with a middle aged woman with curly hair as your server, good luck because you wont be a priority unless you have a higher check.
I stopped in for lunch today and had a fantastic dining experience. Sophia was my server. She was friendly, attentive and is certainly a valuable part of the staff. The menu has a lot of options and everything that I have had here has been delicious. I would recommend getting a cinnamon roll with vanilla ice cream to anyone who comes in! I will be back!
Great local diner! They have lots of great burgers with a variety of size choices. And their fries are great, especially their seasoned fries! They also have amazing milkshakes and the best cinnamon rolls ever!! I love them for their shakes, my boyfriend loves them for their burgers. And they are open 24 hours on the weekends, so great for late nights!
We come up once a month to visit delaware, however hamburger inn is the staple reason why we come. It has always had the best food, kindest staff and never disappoints. I always recommend this to anyone visiting delaware
Small town diner, but huge on flavor and quality! My best friend brought me here and I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. Food is awesome, the setup is fun and family style, and the wait staff is pleasant. When back in the area I will definitely return!
I went with my friend today to have lunch. The waitress was super serviceable and quick. My friend ordered the cinnamon french toast and it didnt taste right for her (we think she might be pregnant), it tasted good to me. Anyways, we talked to the waitress about it and she brought a biscuit and gravy to replace the french toast. We were willing to pay for both dishes, but in the end when we got the check they waved the French toast away. They were super nice and understanding. We highly recommend it. It tastes delicious and the service is always great!

I have heard of this place many times throughout the years. So decided to try it today. I was greeted by friendly staff. And quick service. Food was very flavorful. Cooked my burger to perfection. But the place needs a good cleaning. Ketchup was spoiled tasting. No highchair just booster seat and they shouldnt be used when there isnt backs on chairs as with this diner. So children must stay in stroller or be held.
Wonderful little place downtown. We are new to the area and needed to get something close to home. There is not much in Delaware and we’re very surprised by this place. Service was absolutely fantastic. Kaitlyn was the best and did what she could to help with our two small boys. The chairs are not the raiders thing to sit in when your small and she made sure they were comfortable and she knew the menu in and out. Very awesome way the restaurant is set up as well. Food was also very good and good portion for the price. Will be coming back!
Food is wonderful everything cooked fresh right when you order it. They even make their own buns and fresh cinnamon rolls daily. Very busy as it is a local staple. Be prepared to wait to sit. Not great for large parties as all seating is first come first serve counter seating which makes it hard to find a seat together. Very worth a visit if you are in the area and want an amazing burger.

This was our first visit and it was even better than we anticipated! Great old diner vibe and friendly staff. Everything was excellent from our server, Kaitlyn to Megan to the food. Best onion rings ever. We, of course, had hamburgers and they were cooked to perfection with the best homemade buns. To top it all off, because it was our first visit we were given a complimentary grilled cinnamon bun for dessert!! PERFECT! Dont miss this place if you are anywhere near Delaware, Ohio!
This was our first time here. We were in town and looking for a good local spot for dinner. The burgers were amazing, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very cozy. The waitress gave us a complimentary cinnamon roll. When we got back to our hotel and decided to warm it up we saw she had given us two. Thank God because they were out of this world!! We thank you so much for your gracious hospitality.
Delicious burgers and fries. Dont even need to get anything fancy. There are plenty of other options too. For COVID they make sure to space guests out and that all the staff wear masks. Guests have to unless seated at a table.
We had a wonderful first time experience at the Hamburger Inn Diner this week! We did a search for restaurants in Delaware as we passed through on a trip to Cleveland. We saw the high ratings and decided to give them a try. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, we were treated to the best customer service! They are taking the COVID situation very seriously by blocking off some of the seating, server wearing a mask, and you could find bottles of hand sanitizer every where you looked. We ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich which were both excellent! The one order of fries was more than enough for the both of us and they were so good! We were given a special treat for being first time customers - their fried cinnamon roll was amazing! Thank you to the Hamburger Inn Diner for everything, and you are definitely on our favorite list. Customer service like this can be hard to find, and we will be back to experience it again as soon as possible. :-)
The fact that this is my third time here within a month speaks volumes. The food is absolutely to die for. The shakes, you do not simply leave without getting. Tina,Karen,Ashlee and The master cook Ethan are above what you would ever expect. Do you think that I’ll be back?certainly, and soon but stay out of seat lol

Folksy place. Dinner is absolutely accurate. Fries were to die for and coffee was amazing. Service was friendly and attentive, and one server took time to hang a coloring art by a small patron on their wall for display. Really enjoyed the hangover burger.
Had breakfast there on a Sunday morning. Its not a big place and seating was a little tight. Other than that, the food and service were great. The cinnamon rolls are melt in your mouth great.

This place is incredible. Food is delicious, service is super friendly and all the charm youd expect in small town Americana. Scratch kitchen, including their hamburger buns. They even game me a free cinnamon roll for my first visit. I will come back here again and again! Highly recommended.

You walk-in....place an order for 2 Sausage Gravies and 1/2 dozen of their World Famous Cinnamon Rolls to go.3-4 minute wait, youre out the door and less than $20 bucks.This was my view.Downtown Delaware, Ohio.

Great service and great food. Went one time before for burgers and they were fantastic. This visit was for breakfast. I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and try the gyro omlet (gyro meat, feta, tomatoes, onions, home fries, with sauce drizzled on the top) and I think my mind was blown a little bit. I highly recommend it. My family also split an order of the cinnamon roll french toast, which was just heavenly. You have to try a cinnamon roll if you go there. They serve them warm with butter if you want, and you should want that. The atmosphere is just really cool too, definitely has that old dinner feel. The decision has now been made for your indecisive group. Youre welcome.
A true classic not ruined by modernity. Love it. If you go here. Go basic. They make all their own buns so get :plain hamburgerhand cut fair fries NOT the curly friesand a maple cinnamon roll for desert or to go. you wont regret it.

This place is the real deal. They make their own hamburger buns and they are like no other. Their cinnamon rolls are crazy good and again, homemade. Fries? Yep you guessed it. Hand cut fresh and fried right in front of you. Open kitchen diner so you can see everything. Hand dipped milk shakes and now offer beer in case youd prefer. Try their chili! The best in the State if you like thick, meaty, peppery chili! A true diner in the middle of town. Been there for eons. Too bad the cook doesnt really read his tickets tho.I ordered eggs over medium well and got easy over. Plus lets dont toast the bread and then the next batch is al most burnt and hard. Sheesh!
Only the best hamburger and fries that I have had since I was a teenager, I am 71 now. The service was friendly and I was treated like I was a regular who came every day. I even complimented the young man who cooked my burger. I live about an hour away but I will definitely go back. Oh, and never leave without the maple iced cinnamon rolls ! I got 4, two for my son.
Nice local hole-in-the-wall place that we tried on a whim because we wanted burgers. It wasnt busy at all, but we were there on a Sunday evening at 730pm. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. Very much the local diner feel. Well definitely be back!
Okay so this one of this whole on the walls that I friend of mine took me to when I was intoxicated after a night of drinking. First thing I got something called The Hangover it was a burger it was fantastic. I was given a free cinnamon roll because it was my first time there and I had never had anything like that before in my life it was beautiful. The wait staff are friendly and kind and fast. Definitely a wonderful place for late night eats.
Now when i tell you this is an amazing restaurant, i mean it. This place is feels like home. Its where i go for special dinners and late nights out and sometimes even an early lunch. Hamburger inn makes delaware. The food is delicious and the staff make me feel welcome. Especially my girl Kaitlyn! I love this place!

Loved the charm of diner. Food was pretty good and prices werent too bad. Service was not so good. Had a young waitress that took our drink order and said she would be back. Five minutes went by and one of the older gals had to reprimand her. Gave us our ticket when we got our sandwiches and didnt come back until I glared at her signaling I needed something.All in all, yes, I would go back for the food and the cinnamon rolls.
My first visit!! The food is very tasty and presentation was perfect! Served with a friendly smile! I had the Tex Mex and serving size was giant!! And for being a first time visitor I received a free grilled cinnamon roll!! Wow why did I wait so long to try this little Diner?! A must visit!!
First time we have come to this diner and it was great. Service was excellent and food was good! We were impressed with the fact they had hired a special needs young woman. This was one of my childhood places. I grew up in Delaware Ohio and my grandpa always took my brother and I here. Everything is good, but the hamburgers are my favorite. I finally got the chance to bring my wife here tonight. She tried the corned beef hash and said it was fabulous. You have to try the cinnamon rolls though! And get it grilled! Trust me!
This was our first time here. It was amazing. The food selection was unique and the portions were pretty good! My friends said it is one of the best burgers he has had in a while. And, omg, the prices are extremely reasonable! We didnt break the bank here.
Good traditional American home style breakfast, taste good & sizeable, enough for two people if not too hungry, that explains why their menu price is a bit higher than other breakfast places. Convenient location, with quite a bit of free street parking near by. Service was good. The only drawback was none of their chairs have back, probably a strategy for quick turn around.
The food is awesome, the servers are awesome. It is an old school diner like the one I went to in the 1960s. The staff is always kind and responsive, like Shelby the other day. The Hamburger Inn is the reason we come to Delaware.
Went with our twin infants to get a bite to eat and had to leave because they only had 1 booster seat for indoor seating only. Felt unwelcomed as a young family and took our business elsewhere.
Pros: love the food for the price, the atmosphere is great the waitress are great. Its a weekly routine on friday nights after work to hang there. Cons: sometimes you get some really dumb drunk people that ruin it. Conclusion, its still worth the trip.
Burgers were amazing. Sat outside on a nice Saturday and it was very pleasant. Im a big guy and the 3/4lb burger is no joke. Id recommend working your way up to that one! Fresh cut fries were great as well. Highly recommend!

2022-05-22Okay dude straight up the food here was pretty good and its right in downtown. I came the day after the art festival so they was low on product which is understandable but Im not going to hold that against them. The afternoon staff was real nice and friendly and the burgers were delicious and that cinnamon bun was amazing+ I dont have any complaints and plan on coming back in the future.

2022-07-03Dave and I love to find local diners on our travels. Todays did not disappoint! The Hamburger Inn Diner was established in 1932. This little place is frozen in time and I am here for it. 3 horseshoe counters which I loved. They have beverages ranging from hand spun milkshakes, bloody mary, to draft beer. Their breakfast looked amazing. The guy beside me had pancakes and eggs.Our food was delicious! We both got 1/4lbs burgers which is their smallest ones. I cant imagine having the other 2 larger sizes. Too much food for me. The service was excellent also. Will definitely return when in the area.

2022-01-02We were driving back home from a weeks vacation and my husband wanted to try Son of Thurman. It was about a 20 minute wait which was fine until they told us we had to wait outside in the freezing cold with snow mixture and our 1 year old daughter. It was because of covid and I under stand that to some extent, however no one was wearing masks in that entire restaurant and there was a family in there waiting to be seated. So we went outside and I looked across the street and saw this really cute burger place which was the Hamburger inn diner. I called over to see if they had any open seating not realizing it’s all counter seating and asked The young man if they made people wait outside . His response was oh goodness no. I said okay we’re across the street we are on our way over.As soon as we walked inside the young man new who we were and got us set up so quickly. Had this very cool kid chair that attached to the counter. He was so incredibly kind and gave us the BEST Service! The staff was so friendly and I loved how you could watch them make your food right there in front of you. Our food was delicious and our little One loved her cheeseburger. The atmosphere was great.,I’m glad the other place told us we had to wait outside because if they hadn’t, we wouldn’t have gotten to experience this little gem of a restaurant. IfYour driving through or live in this area and haven’t been, I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure!!!!

2021-08-23Friendly little place downtown, the seating is unique as it community seating no single tables unless you sit outside (Monday seating outside was closed due to limited staffing).I had the hangover burger excellent, and the waffle fries were ok; if the server was on her game, they would have been great sat around a little too long (cold).My daughter had the cinnamon roll breakfast, which was tasty and plenty!!Service seemed slow with a half-full noon crowd, and condiments were hard to come by buying overall; I would return!!
