My wife and I had a surprise date night here after finding last minute reservations via opentable.com. We are so glad it worked out. The ambiance, food, service and drink selection were absolutely amazing!We started with the bourbon sticks and short rib risotto (which were both fantastic), followed by the Ohio city pasta primavera and spiced rubbed grilled French cut pork chop. The pasta was cooked to a perfect level of al dente that seemed timed down to the second and the pork chop was the juiciest chop Ive ever had. The sides were amazing as well.Our favorite restaurant has been Benders for years .... but we found a new favorite tonight and cant wait to come back with friends to share the experience.
A group of 10 of use went to dinner last night excited and couldn’t wait to try the food. Way to expensive and the food was horrible. The meat was very dry no taste and very little food for the cost. I had the coffee rubbed pork chops and it was the worse pork chop I have ever had. I would advise everyone to not eat at this restaurant. There are a lot of restaurants out there and this one is not worth the money or going to. None of us were happy with our meals. Chicken horrible rack of lamb horrible Brussels dry and terrible. We eat out every week and this truly is some place I would never eat at again.
I love the environment and outdoor dog friendly patio! Their menu offers a great selection of fine dining. I had the special of the day which was sea bass and I couldnt resist ordering crab cakes too. I highly recommend H2 if you ever want to leave a dining impression on your family and guests!
Cantons best kept secret! Great food, great ambiance andgreat hosts. If you havent been here, you are missing a great diningexperience.Was there again last night, August 7, 2021. Had the cajun sea bass -that was the evenings special - and omg - best ever! One of the best pieces of fish I have ever had and it was cooked perfectly - flaky and moist and seasoned to perfection! They know what they are doing in the kitchen for sure!

Thank you, H2, for another great dinner, this time curb side pick up. Flawless procedure, safe and secure packaging and minimal contact.The flavor of the horseradish pesto compliments perfectly the braised short ribs , fabulously tender, and the risotto and baby tomatoes were pure freshness. Generous portions , and each of the field green salads is enough for two, so we had the other one the next day. Loved the crusty bread , then the lightest, creamiest cheesecake and dark chocolate torte, all for an insanely reasonable price. Looking forward to our next curb side!
Our 5th time celebrating dinner at H2 did not dissapoint! From the 1st step inside the incredible building and its amazing atmosphere to the second we leave, we are delighted with flavors from Brie to bread to salad leading to our main course. . Youd never know you were in Ohio with dishes created from H2s Chef!! This place is truly a diamond inthe rough, and we are its greatest fan! We are so lucky H2 is right here in our own backyard! Looking forward to our next visit!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish! I love the retail wine option... you can choose a bottle of wine from their retail section and drink it in house for a small corking fee. Which basically means, you are getting a great bottle of wine for a good price. And the food is out of this world! Every time I have I dined at H2, I have been blow away by the quality of the food. Every thing is fresh and perfectly made! Do yourself a favor and dine here asap!
Greatest secrete in downtown Canton! This bar is located underground and has an old school speak easy vibe. They have a great selection of Wine and Whiskey. Food is also amazing, I usually get the scallops but everything that I have tried there was great! This is the perfect place to start your night at...
The food and ambiance was amazing. We started with the artisan cheese board which was wonderful and went great with the wine we ordered thanks to the staffs recommendation. We had the lamb (succulent), the house made fettuccini (incredible) for our main meal. I loved the great wine selection and the cozy feel of the place. I really liked being able to buy wine at retail or even lower than retail and only paying a $7 corkage fee. Wine is always so over priced in restaurants, usually double what you pay at a wine store. I will definitely go back soon! Loved it!
Our second time here. Excellent appetizers and entrees. The short rib risotto is delicious. Amazing charcuterie plate.They sell wine at retail store prices. Very affordable.We week be back.
I had the best chicken of my life! It was very juicy and tender with amazing flavor! They have a great wine and whisky selection. The house old fashion Manhattan is once of the best around. Can’t wait to go back.
I’ve been to H2 in Canton 2 times and both times was fantastic... great atmosphere and the food was amazing. I recommend the appetizer meatball and the lamb chops. Both were cooked perfectly! The server was so attentive and gave great recommendations. Definitely worth a try for a night out in downtown canton - great addition to the area. Yum!!
A real Canton gem- so neatly tucked into a lovely building with character that perfectly compliments the food/wine pairings. Everything I ordered was delicious, but light and the bourbon selection was well-crafted. Will definitely be returning!
We have known the owners for years but being a former restaurant owner myself my opinion is bias. It is what it is. Our experience was what I expeced and service was over the top. Although we are not wine drinkers the selection of bourbons was amazing. Hats off you 2. We shall be back.
We went twice, the first time was just for a drink. Second time for dinner. Slow service, disorganized, servers arguing in public, and Extraordinarily overpriced food. Small portions for prices that were outrageous. Decent beer, wine and bourbon selection but not extraordinary. Will NOT be back.

My boyfriend and I wanted to have a nice dinner out last night. He ordered the catch of the day, which was Snapper. When the server brought our meals my boyfriend took ONE bite of his fish and got a bone lodged in his throat. Then he found 3 more bones just like it in that part of the fillet. After failed attempts to push it down with bread and water we went to urgent care where they took an X-ray and saw it stuck at the base of his tongue. They couldn’t do anything there so they sent us to the ER. ER admitted him overnight and this morning ENT had to go in and surgically remove the bone. It was about 1” long. This is no fault to the restaurant, it is the distributor who is to de-bone and fillet the fish before sending it out, but I just want to give future patrons a heads up.

Visited recently for the third time. The food is wonderful and the wine list is extensive. Great service and atmosphere in a beautifully restored, historic downtown Canton location. H2 is a must visit!
I love H2!....Great bourbon selection ...had an interesting Japanese bourbon ...scallops were awesome and shrimp just perfect. Friendly atmosphere and a beautiful vintage building from old town Canton...I recommend this eatery

This place is fabulous. Every one is very friendly. They offer wines and bourbon you will not find in most other places.I highly Recomend you give it a try. Yes they take reservations.
I had the rack of lamb it was awesome. The lamb was perfectly cooked.. my wife had the short rib risotto and she said it was very good as well..

Holy cow! Talk about high prices. Small portions, I left hungry and spent a fortune. Wine prices were crazy as well. My glass of wine was the same price I can buy a bottle for.

2021-06-26Best food in Canton. Let’s start with the Amazing Margarita the way a true Margarita should be! Not too sweet but flavorful. Chef Patrick ‘s creations have a complexity of taste in every bite! Scallops were made to perfection. The lamb was savory with a corn meal stuffing that was well balanced with the lamb. The quail with waffles was a nice twist and I could eat this till I die! The Creme Brûlée was one of the best I’ve had. The staff is welcoming from the minute we stepped in the door, it was 9pm when we arrived but the food was just as great as if we were there at 6pm. Our server , Sam, was very personable , attentive, and kind. The owner, Ms Harris , stopped by our table to chat with us . She is just lovely! This is our new favorite place as we like to support our local dining spots. Thank you for a true fine dining experience !

2022-02-14Went for a Valentines Day dinner; disappointing. Table for 2 was so tiny that server had to bring a portable side table to hold the bottle of wine. Server did not uncork the wine at the table, nor offer to have us sample the wine, and did not pour the wine for us, all standard procedures at nicer restaurants; however a surprise corkage charge of $7 to the $20 advertised bottle price was added to the bill. Really? Appetizer of brie cheese with pepper jelly was nice. We each ordered a small plate and either soup or salad; bisque soup had a fancy pastry in on top but tasted bland; salad for one person was over-sized, as it was an entire head of bib lettuce with the top separated for the toppings; the guests at the table next to us laughed. Server never asked us how the food was tasting, nor offered desserts. We did not order entrees. The entire dinner including one cocktail and the bottle of moscato with an 18% tip came to $121, about twice what this meal was worth, at best. Cutesy yuppie eatery for the wanna-bes to impress their date, and way overpriced. Below ground with stairs down; not handicap accessible. 2022-04-02This was our second time there. The food was just ok, doesnt live up to the price. They didnt season a lot of it. Didnt dress half my salad. The entree was bland and under seasoned. In the end I didnt eat much of it and left hungry. Chairs are awkward and make it hard to sit and eat. They sneak in a wierd corkage fee on their own wine that they sell. I would only see a corkage fee being appropriate for bringing in an outside bottle but we bought their wine there. I asked the server about it and she got rude and argumentative, saying its cheap and we should expect to pay more. If they want to charge more for wine then they should just charge more and not sneak in wierd fees. This place is pretentious, overpriced, and generally not a good experience. We wont be back.

2018-12-01Definitely a little pricey, but the food was so delicious! Everything we ordered was freshly made with real ingredients and had wonderfully combined flavor profiles. Small seating area, but it wasn’t very busy. Call ahead to be safe.
