Guitar Center in other cities:
Worst customer service in any kind of retail store Ive ever been into Ive came in there twice now and the employees just walk by you like theres no customers in the store and theyre too busy standing around laughing and joking with each other as opposed to helping customers definitely take your business to to Sam ash Im sure youll get better service there.
I came into store with mask on and apparently the employee I spoke to didnt think it was on even though I clearly had it on. He told me to speak to someone else and I told him I will just go to another store. Was ready to spend good money for a Fender. Went down the street to another guitar store for a better deal and experience. I will no longer patronize this store.
Total rip-off! I went in and asked the dude at the desk if he could price match Sam Ash and give me a competitive price on a high end e-drum kit, and he told me, “absolutely not.” What in the world is up with that, eh? Instead, I bought an even more expensive 8 string guitar, so it worked out and the guy turned out cool. But next time you guys won’t price match a $3000 e-drum for $200, be on the lookout for Sam Ash and their great deals.
Still the same old guitar center. Looking pretty run down these days. Never an associate in the drum area. The associates are as helpful as they always have been, but the selection seems to be losing to the internet. Overall, pretty much the same place, just showing its age.
I bought a new guitar in November of last year and played it for a few months. To begin, it arrived with a few chips in the wood and had terrible fret buzz. They didnt bother to check before selling it. I thought I could still play through it or fix the action but eventually realized Im better off returning. Unfortunately it was already after the 45 day return period and yeah thats on me but whats the difference between 45 days and 60 days or 90 days. If the customer is unsatisfied, it is better to help them out rather than stick to a the policy. I was even willing to return the guitar for store credit to buy another guitar from them but they didnt help me at all. They offered to buy it back for far less than what I paid.
Tried calling Guitar Center before visiting to check their inventory of banjos. No answer. Decided to make the 1 hour trip to store. They had only one banjo in the store. No one offered to help us or ask if we needed assistance. The store looked very mismanaged. I don’t know if all GC’s are this way, but I wasn’t impressed with this particular store and won’t go back.
We waited over 45 minutes to try and get help we asked a gentleman for some assistance he answered two questions then informed us he needed to go to the restroom he went to the restroom we were still standing there no one would help us he come out of the restroom and decided to go outside and play with the blind girl thats behind the counter still chose not to come back and help us we ended up leaving and going to Sam Ash which I highly recommend.
If you are a music enthusiast then Guitar Centers a one-stop-shop! Starting from the salesman on the ground floor to the cashiers customer assistance and most of all the merchandise is likely always in stock. If youre looking for a quick fix or a new buy this is the spot in Columbus to go for sure no questions asked five stars.
When I walked in their was 1 guy behind the counter on his phone didnt even know I came in I was looking for a specific bass ibanez 300. The website said it was in stock. I couldnt find it so I asked the kid and was told to check the web myself and see if its in stock. I laughed it off but did it anyway (I really wanted this bass) I told him that the web said it was in stock. He walked up & down looking the wall of fender (cause thats about all they sell anymore)guitar and said I dont see one! I said well is it in the back? He stated and I quote uhu w a shrug of his shoulder and looked back at his phone. I found another employee and asked them. In witch he was of some help and talked me into buying another bass all together. But with the lack of knowledge respect and want to help people this isnt your place your better off checking around on the web do you own research and only go here if you wanna actually handle and try what your going to buy then go back home and order it from the internet somewhere Amazon keizlen fender.
Will not service if not masked, take your business elsewhere. I was asked to leave after being in the store for around 15 minutes by an employee who had his mask on his chin the entire time I was in there. He said I had to put one on or leave and I called him out on him not even wearing his and he told me its whatever, is what it is. Clown show.
Selection looked good, customer service was below poor. I gave them 3 stars because Im not a musician so I dont have much experience shopping this type of retail center. (If it was a grocery store or car audio shop it wouldve been a 1 star for sure). I went in there for drum sticks for my daughter thats in marching band, they have a separate drum section that I found on my own. Had plenty of sticks (dont know what good snare sticks are) but they were behind a counter that said employees only and I couldnt read the shelf tags without going back there. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes because there wasnt an employee working that area and then headed up to the main checkout area to ask for advice. Advise given was something to the effect of man, Im not sure.. most of the high school kids get this... so I got those and a couple other because they didnt care if I went behind the signs unsupervised. Then a group of 3 employees were at the checkout area chatting about writing nuances and the main dude was picking at a flying V spitting wisdom to his buds about guitar writing... I work 6 days a week and that was a Sunday, I live almost an hour away from there.. couldve been better
Worst GC ive ever been to,I recommended my nephew to go to this place for his first guitar buying experience as a new learner. We go to this place he finds $129 Mitchell acoustic in the acoustic room and was set on buying it, as we walk around we find another Mitchell in the DJ area in front of a Bose DJ setup I said hey man look this is 229 what you have is 129 this has the electric pick up set up already in it and thats what you was looking for. So he decided that is the one that he wanted ....awesome guitar it has a sale price for $229.Takes to the register has it rang up bought it walked out the door he said they knock some off because it was a display model.Sweet how much did you end up spending he said $329 I said well you bought picks and the guitar was 229 thats not right..... As we walk back into the store the store manager walks out that rang him up ,I said hey this guitar ring up at 299 the tag said 229 we walk back to the register he fumbles around and cannot find the tag that came off the guitar i said whats that under his hand? Its right there man , another guy says thats not the same guitar thats on the tag he said probably one of the guys that doesnt play guitar put it on there, only difference was this had the cut away . So my nephew said hell with it give me a refund if you aint going to sell it for what you had it listed as on your tag and I will go find something else, well he finds an Ibanez acoustic electric the looks pretty much the same as the Mitchell he takes it up to the register to buy it well they tell him they cannot sell him that one. It came off the wall in the acoustic room where it does have a tag on it for sale so they had to do another return. So he goes back and finds another Mitchell acoustic electric basically the same thats the one that we found in the DJ room for 279 ....... He gets it and loves it . They credited is card the $329 rang him up for the $229 guitar and knocked off $ the display . So basically they knocked $50 off the guitar gave him a pack of picks and a hard time. I was kind of embarrassed because I recommended this place to him I always buy everything from the Guitar Center but I dont go to this store. And I wont Again Sam Ashs just right across the street. Ive been to hundreds of Guitar Centers across the country this was the worst experience Ive ever had.
This is a fantastic place to find a wide variety of music related gear. They primarily cater to electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and drum needs but have a number of other items in the store. The staff are also great to work with and extremely helpful. The only reason for not giving this location a 5 star rating is that they do not keep hard shell cases for acoustic guitars in stock. I wanted to get one with my guitar purchase to keep it properly protected, but was told they dont usually have them. I was told to order one online instead. It isnt that big of a deal, but they should keep these in stock when they are selling multi-thousand dollar guitars.Great store for any musician to stop in and have a look around. Great prices and quality customer service.
A great place for guitars. not a great place for tuning your child’s ukulele. my daughters uncle bought her this beautiful Frozen 2 ukulele at five and below for her birthday. It was so kind of him and I wanted to get her first instrument properly tuned. unfortunately all the strings broke when you tried to turn the knobs. There is no way that a ukulele of this quality could break this easily. I believe that the employee was just way to rough.
I went at night with a couple if friends and its was pretty good. The employees were kinda busy, but still overall friendly. While I didnt buy anything, I did see a couple of instruments that Id be willing to come back for. The selection of all the instruments is amazing. Ive seen bigger places with less selection, so I applaud this store.
Keep ur mask handy or covid Karen will ROCK you!!! I was covered but some OG was properly shown the door. Only needed some picks but the woman at the counter was too busy selling reverb pedals to acknowledge me or call for help. They were not busy. Sam Adams opens in 5 :)
I was having a few issues with my bass and took it into guitar center to get looked at. I was a bit nervous, as this was my prized bass and I wanted it to get back to its full glory.Jeremiah promptly called me back the next day after taking a look and explained what was going on, and provided me with an estimate. He then worked with Music Man to order the needed parts and kept me looped in during the process. He did a great job handling the repair and Im very happy with how the bass is sounding now. The estimated repair cost came out spot on, and he even got the repair completed a bit ahead of schedule.I would gladly take my instruments back and work with Jeremiah again.
Been coming here since I was just a kid. The manager Jesse is a class act. Helped me return an online order earlier this year and gave me a great deal on a used bass today.. Always goes above and beyond to make every visit excellent. Definitely recommend stopping by and paying the Platinum Room a visit! A+
Lots of questions/neat equipment but I didnt really like the vibe. If Im spending $, I should at least feel good about the store. No greetings whatsoever, no one seemed to care, but I got a goodbye on the way out?...Oh! So I have been here before. Today I learned again why I hadnt been back. Give everyone a second chance but not a 3rd. I will be sure to never come back again. Ever.
It is a big store, there are lots of music products, but was never approached by an employee asking if I needed any help. We were looking at keyboards and ended up leaving after browsing their inventory, but had questions. I like how different instrument types have different sections. There is a stage setup inside for small gigs and they have various rooms for trying out instruments without annoying other customers.
Friendly staff with a lot of options for a novice to an expert in the music field. The gentleman I dealt with helped me find the right drum set and was very efficient. He offered to carry out the set to my car as well and I appreciate the willingness to serve. Something that does not come by often. Thank you for the amazing service!
The staff at Guitar center are great. They let me sit down with my dream guitar a Les Paul 59 custom (Tom Murphy) and let me play it. Be sure when I’m in a position I’ll have one of these. I’ve got my eye on some used gear too. Didn’t feel any pressure to buy just good old fashioned service
Nice selection knowledgeable sales people high prices.TheReview above was leftMonths ago, I was there the other day,I came and waited for half an hour for service, and then took care of some business down the street. Came back and waited for another hour and a half, finally made my best deal, from their website, For a Les Paul gold top As I was ready to seal the deal I told them to go get my hard shell case advertised on the specifications and features of the guitar I was told since it wasnt on their sale tag, they wouldnt give me one as the Corp. Website advertised. I said that is a deal killer and walked out.Dont waste your time ask them right away if they will honor their own promises?
In terms of guitars there is hardly a second in Columbus. It’s called Guitar Center for a reason… I have been in a few times, there are used and new, and far more than simply guitars of course. Sound equipment, mixing, percussion, as well as lessons and much more. I have found some of the staff to “gatekeep” as they say. That attitude can be off putting, the staff should be helpful and impartial. Outside of that it’s a great establishment.
Very disappointed with the service I got today. I don’t think it’s very professional to be speaking to someone, that had wait a long time to speak to anyone, to have that person to start a conversation with someone else. I used to spend a lot of money there, guess it’s time to find somewhere else to spend my money
Went to find a guitar because my son wants to learn. Asked an employee for some help since we didnt have any idea about to look for.He pointed to the guitars and told me to choose one within my price range and he will see if they have a case for it. Gave no info on what to look for (styles, wood, plug in acoustic). Not happy so left without a guitar and will go somewhere else.
Never will I ever step foot in this place. I was inquiring about an instrument for my elderly father...whom may or may not be able to play it.. I asked if they had anyone who was good with older people, to guide them so he didnt buy something too expensive or something he didnt need.. They guy on the phone told me they are sales people and are taught to sell. If he wants an expensive one..thats what hell get...yea to sell anything to anyone as long as it makes them money, no matter if its what they need or not.....makes me sick the way he acted. Doesnt really care about the customer..just the dollar sign!
Everything you youd expect from a guitar center, and more! The employees are extremely helpful and kind. Im amazed how they can handle such a busy store with such grace. They made me feel welcome and the vibe in there is cool, some very talented people practice in their store!
I didnt have good experience with this store. On 05/28 I purchased guitar online and received confirmation about order being processed. Without any explanation on 6/1 I got automated message that order is canceled. . Usually when GC store sells item in the store or item not available, they contact customer to explain what happened. Not this store - they didnt bother.
I was looking for a loop pedal. It seemed like there was no one in the store and it took several min before I was tended to. I was holding a strap and guitar picks looking at loop pedals which I found on my own. I was asked if I was ready to check out instead of being asked if I needed help and the man at the desk seemed like he didnt like working there. He was kind of uptight. He didnt know much about the product I was interested in and when he refered me to a used one as it would cost less it was already bought and he seemed upset that it had been bought. I took my business to Sam Ash down the street.
Received my Ibanez $1000 guitar today. Came in a squirer box with 1 layer of bubble wrap. The guitar came incomplete without the strap connectors and had blemishes on the head stock and body. I was prepared to keep the guitar provided GC shipped out the missing part. After talking to customer service for an hour and Kansas they traced the Shipment came from the store in Ohio Columbus they told me to call and ask to speak to the Team lead. Mike did not even give me a chance to finish explaining the issue with the purchase. He dismissed me saying return it to the nearest guitar center. Which I will do and GC after 20 years I will no longer support. Mike at the Ohio store should be demoted, he should not be customer facing
Went in looking to compare 2 specific keyboards. There werent very many to look at in general. The staff wasnt all that helpful either. Too bad they are the only store in the city. Ill have to shop online or another retailer. Not great service and the store looked like it hasnt been cleaned in ages.
Guitar center is a terrible company to do business with. To be fair, they have a good selection of products and the products are good, but Ive had so many orders screwed up with guitar center. And they take very little accountability for their mistakes. Ive had several bad experiences both with online and in store
If you need any guitar repair or setup ask for Jeremiah. Received a guitar setup on my Les Paul and Jeremiah in guitar repair is incredible! He is knowledgeable and friendly. Was so impressed the first time that I brought another guitar in the next day and even though his shift was up, Jeremiah stayed late to make sure we figured out why my guitar wouldn’t work with my amp. He fixed it in ten minutes and saved me a load of worry and money. They also take proper mask wearing seriously! Felt safe here during Covid-19.
Went in ready to buy a new guitar, stood at the desk for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged as 2 different employees walked by saying nothing. When one finally did, he asked if we needed anything as if standing there waiting was just for fun. I guess this is why people buy online these days.
I was dissapointed as I went through the store. Many of the products were missing from the shelves. I realize in our current COVID stance, it is hard to justify keeping fully stocked, but it is hard for a customer to justify going to brick and morter stores if there is limited stock.I was also dissapointed with the customer support in the Live Sound area considering they had so few customers. The clerk appeared bothered for me to ask questions and was generally rude.I most recently visited the store on 11/24/2020.
I went to GC to purchase an audio interface and was surprised to find that the only focusrite interface they had could not be sold 😔, however it did not matter because I couldnt find an employee to answer any questions anyway. My daughter did manage to find an employee who was trying to sell her a online video guitar lesson for $80. It was super creepy watching him try to sell her on doing a video chat with him. Shes 15 by the way. We wont be going back.
The experience at guitar center was absolutely horrible today. I approached an employee to ask about pricing for a particular product that I was interested in, he remarked back to me to pull my mask up over my nose and then left. No one ever returned – I looked around for employees but they were gabbing out the front door, and the only other available employee that I saw in the guitar area was absolutely slammed due to the others screwing off. After never finding someone that could help, I left in frustration....... I was reminded how ordering the stuff off of eBay, and Facebook market is much easier.
Fantastic visit once again. Always a great experience. I have bought two guitars and numerous accessories here over the years. Never had an aggressive salesman, never been pushed towards one brand over another. Always great deals. Worked with Mike on my last guitar deal a few months ago. Just a super guy all around. This most recent visit, I had the pleasure of working with Ian, who is definitely an asset to the store, as well. Excellent management and staff. Highly recommend! Cheers!
It is astonishing the absence of knowledge and customer service at GC. Im a professional musician and guitar/ voice teacher, I buy a lot of gear, and every time I engage with GC I regret it. They are understaffed, the staff they have knows next to nothing about their gear and seems disinterested in seeking or providing any information. I generally feel like a nuisance whenever I go there, whether its to pickup some strings or to drop $1000 on an instrument. Sweetwater is a FAR better retailer, staffed with knowledgeable, helpful, smart people. All future shopping I do at GC will be out of convenience only and I do not look forward to it.
Great selection. Especially impressed with used selection. The service was very good. Pricing is competitive b on most items but check around and Dont be afraid to negotiate. Everything here is negotiable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Cleanliness is above average. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Limited accessibility was well maintained and available at ever need for access. Customer care is attentive and thorough.
I am generally not a fan of Guitar Center. The ones Ive dealt with have been...Ill skip the profanity and just say awful. This particular one though has a great selection, polite staff, and is very well organized and clean. Definitely recommend this location. Only knock I gotta give them is the selection of accessories, basic stuff like strings unless its Ernie Ball is in pretty short supply. Otherwise though these guys have always taken care of me and I have no regrets shopping here
I came here many times. Sometimes for my church or for band. We bought many things from the store.. but yesterday we were looking for drums snare and a bass guitar for church. We went in the drums section and ask if I could borrow the drums stick, and the old man rudely said “No that’s not what we do here”. Then we went to the bass section and one of the staff asked us if wen needed help.. we told him we were okay. He told us.. “if you’re not buying anything, we don’t want you guys browsing around the store.” Others staff were always nice and helpful but these two sounded more like security!
Came in to buy a drum head and some cymbals because I just broke two of mine and wasnt playing loud while I was testing the cymbals, two guys with Guitar Center Uniforms on was very rude and didnt care about my sale after I told them I needed cymbals. Today was my last day shopping at this location, Ill make the drive for better customer service.
A music geeks paradise! This location is crammed full of pretty much any music gear you can imagine, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Its not necessarily the cheapest store around, but the selection is hard to beat, and its cleaner and better organized than Sam Ash down the road. I especially love this location because my 30-year old Taylor guitar got a split down the side when it struck the leg of a stool. I brought it to Guitar Center, and Grant the repair tech did a beautiful repair job and adjusted the neck so that it plays better than it has in years. Ive also ordered used gear from Guitar Center. One item came from a store in California, and the other came from Louisiana, and both were exactly as described and pictured on the website and were carefully packed using an absurd amount of bubble wrap.
To the manager/owner.. your employees can have more tact about addressing customers like myself who come in with no mask. He said rudely, wears your mask? I said, I have a Doctors note in my purse, I can not wear them.He then said, well you cant be in here. This mask issue isnt a one size fits all. I received my Doctors note because I got sick wearing a mask. I changed careers because I cant wear a mask. I deserve the same respect as your customers who can wear the masks. Per my Doctor they the masks do not work. They are 90% worn wrong. I see the states that are shut down with more rising Covid cases than the states that are open. This tells me if masks worked it should be the other way arpund.i planned on spending a few hundred dollars on a guitar, case, and accessories. I hope your company can find compassion for people like me and treat us with respect too.
This is a really neat store, I love it! The salespeople are very friendly, helpful, & generous. The store is crowded so that is a great indicator. Jeremy and Ian were the ones who helped us out. They were very polite and Jeremy gave my dad a new serial number since the one that came with my launchpad had already been used. Definitely coming back here again for free guitar lessons or to sing on their singtrix karaoke machine :) who knows, I might even purchase a guitar from them someday...Anyways, I highly recommend this place.
I have been going here for almost 2 decades now and here is my experience. Everyone I have ever met here is very passionate about guitars and helping people learn how to play or getting outfitted with the right gear to play the style or tone they want to accomplish. Sylvia and the lessons department has been awesome in helping me accelerate my growth with custom tailored lessons for me. I cant say enough about how great is has been to become a regular here. I would highly recommend Guitar center to anyone.
Broken cables laying by their amps you can try out. Also, half of the guitars need re-stringed. When I visited to sell one of my guitars (retailed used for 1700 so thus I told them that’s what I’d like to get out of it) I told them the price I’d like and they said it’s too high so I asked them to suggest a more reasonable price for their standers a and they said $1000. So, me just wanting to get rid of it, I said okay sure fine. Then the 2 gentlemen wanted to talk to their manager “really quick” (20 minutes later). So they come back and say they can only do $800?? And I’m like “you just said $1,000?” And he says “Well if you’re trading in we gotta knock the price down for resell value. But we can bump what you’re trying to get down as well. I ended leaving with the guitar I wanted just a shitty bumpy road to get there. Honestly need to train staff to handle situations better
Decent inventory and selection, but this location is seriously lacking in basic customer service skills. Its rare you feel disrespected and like a bother just by walking through the door of a business. I went to Sam Ash down the road, and had a wonderful experience. Walked away with a guitar, case, and some free accessories 👍 Go to both stores and see the difference for yourself.
Needed an amplifier for the bass guitar I picked up earlier. And since I was in the Morse Road area decided to stop in here.Learned that there is a difference between bass and guitar amps. And I was glad for the information. When I was asked if I wanted the extended warranty, I asked back what the manufacturer warranty was, and they told me 1 year. Actually found out that theres a 3 year warranty after all. After hearing about the bankruptcy filing, I had little interest in being upsold.
Not sure about in store, but I ordered one item online. A new item. I received a used version of the item I bought, with a sticker right on it that says used equipment, and a price that is much lower than what I paid!I ordered online because I do not live near the store. I called and explained and was told that to return it I have to drive to the store, which I was trying to avoid.I will drive over there, waste an hour of my time, return the used item, and buy it on Amazon. I suggest you do the same. Not the driving over there part, just the Amazon part.
When I arrived they had a huge sign in front of the door but no one was there to tell me what to do. There was also no one in line outside of the store, I knew they were opened so I went around the sign and peeped my head in the store. I kindly asked “Are you guys open” and the response I got caught me off guard. “Did someone let you in” Uhm no.... no one was there to tell me I couldn’t come in.I apologized and went back outside and waited to get the ok to come inside. About 5 Minutes later two people walked out of the store. I was with two others so I assumed the only two people were allowed to come in. I asked kindly “how many people can come in” and again rudely he said “Well obviously I’m allowing everyone to come in” like ok sorry for asking. I went there to buy a guitar petal and they suggested one for me and it ended up not working. So I then returned it later on and they said rudely to me “what did you expect”. like I expected it to work. It’s a nice guitar store with great options I just wish the employees were not rude.
Covid update: they need more employees in the store. I had to wait a while to play a guitar and one of the employees told me he had to work way more than usual as corporate only let a small amount of employees back.Always a fan of guitar center. My main man Brad is always honest and helpful and will give good recommendations after asking good questions. I trust Brad and Ive worked with many guitar salespeople over the years.
Every time I visit Guitar Center I find at least one or more deals that are simply too good to pass on.Better still, the staff at the Columbus Ohio store are extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and prompt to offer assistance no matter how big the sale.I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of equipment here, sometimes several thousand on a single purchase, and I find that the sales associates provide the same amazing level of service even when I am just picking up an accessory for a few bucks.I believe that the quality of service provided at Guitar Center is unmatched in the Central Ohio region. They have great prices, and a massive selection offering professional quality gear and knowledge that is unparalleled and No, I dont work for Guitar Center. I am just an honest fan of this great store!
Alex is the absolute the rudest employee I have ever spoken to. I called about getting an estimate for my drumset and within 20 seconds we were disagreeing. I was calling because there was a drumset at a different store I wanted to I wanted to get some rough numbers for my drums and I live over an hour away so I wanted an estimate before I waste my time going up there and get offered $200 for a 7 piece Maple Pdp x7 kit from Drum Workshop. He did nothing to earn my business as a customer and immediately just said okay cool have a good day and hung up on me.Horrible customer service. I know if I acted like that in a sales position I would have lost my job. I would gave 1/2 a star but this is the lowest rating I can give.
I stopped in here for used gear, and was immediately approached by a salesman. I told him what I needed and he knew exactly where it was. After picking up some additional audio cables, the salesman rung me out with little fuss. The stores prices are very competitive, and the have weekly sales. Used gear is in great condition, and is in much better condition than a pawn shop would be, and just as cheap.
The employees are great. I play guitar and usually when I go into music stores of any sort I always feel like people are staring me down to make sure I dont touch anything, I felt welcomed by these guys who are just as obsessed with guitars, tone, and music as myself and more than willing to help me dial in some cool tones and play some really sweet guitars. Thanks guys for a great experience!
Ive always had a great experience with them.I just bought a new Alvarez from them. When it arrived, the neck was ever-so-slightly set wrong - I was being very picky: They sent it back for a new one with no questions. The next one that arrived was better!I worked with Aaron, and several others.
This is a good place to buy music things. They have a decent selection of instruments, including some less popular ones along with recording equipment, stage equipment, and some other fun stuff. I with their selection of headphones were a little better, but this is a store for making music, not necessarily listening to it. The prices are a tad high and I recommend shopping online to make sure youre getting the best deal, but otherwise this place is pretty nice. The store itself is clean with a good layout and the staff is generally attentive and knowledgeable. I havent had any problems here and neither has my girlfriend or her dad, both of whom have purchased instruments from here in the last 12 months (from the time of this review). Sam Ash up the street is pretty decent too and its awesome having competitors so close by for better selections for all of us.
Quick caveat...This rating is based on my experience buying a Ukulele, not a Guitar.I ordered my Ukulele online, and had it delivered to the store so I could have a deeper conversation with a Guitar Center representative about the instrument. YouTube videos only take you so far, and I wanted to hear from a knowledgeable person on the front lines. The representative who retrieved my Ukulele told me he didnt know anything about Ukuleles, and neither did the other three guys in the store. Srs.I left the store disappointed and a little discouraged in the moment. Promising to avoid the big box instrument stores in the future.Additional Note: The automated SMS service they used to notify me that my product has arrived at the store and is ready for pickup continues to send me the same alert notifications, two weeks later. Someone forgot to tell the automated system I acquired my Ukulele.SUMMARY:If youre buying a guitar, maybe theyre more knowledgeable, one would hope, but if youre buying a Ukulele or other instrument, dont count on their in-store expertise to help you make an informed choice.
I love this store, they have an excellent selection of anything I could want. Mike Perkins is an excellent man to deal with, I always go see him but if hes nit available, anyone on staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. There has only been one time they didnt have what I wanted in stock which was a ridiculously low priced sale item, so they had the item shipped to my house with no shipping fee.
Witnessed an employee(long wavy brown hair, blue shirt) flip off and cuss out police officers who were responding to a situation in the area nearby. Very poor, embarrassing behavior demonstrated by this individual, which unfortunately is a reflection on the company. I will take my business elsewhere
My favorite music store in Columbus. All of the employees are friendly and ready to help you find what you need. Mike Perkins in particular I highly recommend. That being said make sure to go in with some patience. Sometimes there are a couple people all waiting to speak to a sales associate so it might take a bit of time until its your turn.
The Guitar Center experience for me recently has been really outstanding. I have purchased a Taylor guitar, an acoustic amp, and several other accessories to go along with them.I dealt with both Brad and Gage. They were both excellent. The best thing about speaking to a guitar player about what you need is that they give you the direct, inspired truth as they it, concerning your needs. So far, everything Ive purchased has renewed my love for playing again. Thank you both Brad and Gage - I really appreciated you spending all the time with me that I needed, and Im a huge fan of what Ive purchased. Really great experience thank you both.
I saw a guitar on the GC website and decided I wanted it. I also had a guitar that I was willing to trade for it. So in I go to see what kind of deal I could get for a trade. I got what I considered a more than fair offer so I made the trade. The new guitar had to be ordered but they delivered it to my house, free! Gotta love this place.
Love this store (and online too). People at the store were very friendly, helpful and patient with my MANY questions. Greg at the GC Garage got my acoustic set up nicely and was very helpful walking me through what work would be done and what the cost would be prior to doing anything.
Always fun playing different instruments learning from the staffAlthough they are very funny at times lol. They know what they are doingVery professional staff. I always get treated well. & Enjoy myselfI. Believe we all have a song in us.But we need to find it.Inside our hearts it cant be seenBut the heart can make crazy changesGl w yours. KPops. Mediocre store with mediocre service. Just bought a half stack amp + cabinet there, and when I asked about the speaker cable that was supposed to come with it to connect the two, the clerk instead brought over a 20$ cable and started ringing me out for it. That was even after trading in two guitars for store credit with the promise of a 10% discount that never materialized, and having the price of one arbitrarily knocked down by a manager walking by while the clerk was almost done with the transaction.Three times they lied to me over the course of one transaction, just to nickel and dime the stupidest things... what kind of shop treats their customers this way? I will never buy any big ticket items there again.
I love to come here with my husband and daughter. For the past couple visits, they had a Paul Stanley signature as well as a John Lennon signature and both played amazingly well. The action was comfortable on both and they were willing to work with us on the Paul Stanley signature, unfortunately we were unable to purchase it but we would have loved to own it.
Well, today was my final guitar center visit... i watched an employee scream at a man that was browsing with his son because he didnt see the sign that said wait to be let in. the gentleman that wears a black bandana as a mask should be retrained highly unproffesional. i was there to buy a 7 string schecter guitar... Sam Ash that is located a block away was more than happy to do business and they were pleasant the entire time.
Pro audio department is a joke. I ask them to order me headphones because they were out. The clerk was uninterested to help me. He must have hated his life that day. I used to love this place. Current management needs to fire these sorry workers. If i was yall i would shop zzounds online. They have better customer service period!!!
This is about the employees, and not so much the company.Would love to rate this higher, but the employees are always rude to me... with the exception of one guy - Brad.Brad made amends when guitar center failed, as I asked for a simple set up after buying a $1000 strat. Turns out, not only did the strat need a set up, but a new bridge and trem system because the previous owner SHAVED IT DOWN and you couldnt possibly tell by eye. I then wrestled with them for over a month just to get it to be playable.Brad has always come through for me after that, and I simply will not give anyone other than him my business.
They have an alarmingly small selection of left-hand instruments. Specifically 1 bass guitar and 3 electric and was told there is not high enough demand to carry left hand versions but I can order them... Also although there was more than one employee available to help, all but one avoided customers. Not very helpful.
I would not recommend Guitar Center to anyone. My first bad experience with them was when I purchased my bass guitar. An employee took some liberties in performing a quick setup on the instrument before I bought it. This would normally be a good thing, but unfortunately the employee had no idea what he was doing and it took quite a long time before I learned the technical knowledge necessary to identify and correct the problems. My second was much more recent- after purchasing a 300W bass amp online, you can imagine my frustration when a 60W amp appears on my doorstep, especially since I planned to do a couple gigs with it that weekend. These frustrations, of course, were only amplified when upon contacting the store over the phone, they told me that I could bring in the amp for a refund. Thats right - Guitar Center sends me the wrong product, then informs me that it is my responsibility to drive an hour to the nearest store and return the amp myself. This company obviously doesnt value its customers, and their service and prices express that clearly enough. With so many other options, I cant see any reason to EVER shop at Guitar Center.
Showed up at about 4:30. When believe it or not, not one salesman greeted me . I was looking at the basses. Ready to buy. Still not one salesman approached. Hard to believe right. So after about 20 minutes of not seeing what I wanted I decided to leave and when I got home went online found what I wanted paid for shipping and believe it or not it came from the exact same Guitar Center I was at not more than 30 minutes earlier. Was pretty shocking,I could be playing my new guitar now instead of writing this review. Looks like someone lost there commission. I must say that I normally shop Sweetwater for online purchases they have much better customer service. Just thought I would buy locally. Well its back to Sweetwater for me..
RevisedI want to retract my poor rating of the Columbus, Ohio Guitar Center I posted a few days ago.Customer Service Manager of the Columbus Guitar Center Nick Pelfrey and Telephone Sales Representative Jeffrey Phillips Guitar Center Customer Service, went above went above and beyond to make the purchase of my guitar a much better one.I am very satisfied with their efforts and the result.Thank you,Jay MarlowePrevious PostI went into Guitar Center with the intent of buying an electric acoustic guitar. Probably in the $200 range.I had a Rogue Rocketeer, in really good condition to trade, to help absorb the cost of the new guitar. My wife and I go to check my guitar in and the guy at the entrance was on the phone and didnt even acknowledge our being there with a wave or just a minute sign...nothing. We waited for a few minutes for help and never did get any. We then went to a register for help and waited there for a few minutes and no one came over to help. The guy at the entrance then came over and before I could fully explain what I wanted to do, he very rudely said he could not accept any low-end guitars for trade. After that, I was ready to go, but I didnt want to make a scene in front of my wife.I immediately decided to get a less expensive guitar and leave. I had one in mind, that was supposed to be at the store when I did all if the filtering and research. Not to my surprise, it wasnt there and they had to order it online from the store. Now, I get to wait to have it delivered in 5 days or so.Very tedious and unprofessional process. Not helpful and again, just rude. Totally wasted a trip from GC.With it, all said and done, I could have done the transaction online.Or better yet, couldve gone through Musicians Friend.Jay Marlowe
Well my experience was not so great because the cashier who looked like he abuses drugs refuse to cash me out because I was exactly 1 penny short. I spent close to 100.00 dollars mind you. It was pouring down raining and he wanted me to go to my car and get a penny, really! I guess I was the wrong flavor for the favor.
Terrible customer service from the Columbus store manager. He is rude and unprofessional and I will not deal with this store again. 2 issues in one day- I received a dirty, damaged, obviously returned irig mic yesterday (purchased NEW online for a Christmas gift) and I had an order for a baritone ukulele botched and now the product is on backorder until MARCH (another Christmas gift). I originally ordered the ukulele in November via phone with the local store, it was supposed to be available for pickup this week, and now I’m cancelling the order due to the Manager’s unapologetic and rude attitude about the backorder issue. Don’t give them your business until they hire a new manager. The rest of the staff has always been helpful and polite. Very unfortunate.
I walked into guitar center yesterday with my 1965 gibson dove natural... looking to maybe sell and or trade. Blown out of the water when they said they would pass on it. Really? 1965 gibson dove? Has some cracks on the top that need a little attention. Not much else it needs.. plays like a dream. Overall a solid killer sounding guitar. Perfectly intoneated. I had literally came directly from a well know luthier who quoted me under 300 dollars to repair and completly stabilize the top. So after they told me they would pass and not even going to get in touch with their vintage team in California. I asked them what they thought my guitar was worth. He tells me 800-1000 dollars retail.. but wanted to pass on it. Not even make me an offer. Are you kidding me? Was rather insulted by the whole experience. Not to mention I went to the drum section to ask if they had the new tony royster drumsticks in.. crickets in the drum room. Stood around for 10 minutes waiting and staring at the sticks behind the counter. Overall terrible experience. Will never be going back to guitar center columbus for ANYTHING.
Worst experience! I bought a Williams piano + stand and bench pack + essencial pack with ear phone, pedal and power supply. The first two items were delivered ok, but the essential pack never came! The call center gave me almost a month to receive it, and only after the 3rd attempt to resolve the problem! So I chose to pick it up in the store. Besides having to drive to a far place, I had to pay another fee to pick the product! The manager says it was because of a change in their system, but I ended up paying for a delivery fee that should not exist in spite of having to pick up the product in the store.Really, I would not buy from this place again.
Apparently, I either dont look like I have any money or they only like to serve people they know. Customer service was more than just absent - it felt a bit hostile. The experience was uncomfortable and a bit awkward, to say the least.I wandered around the store for 10 minutes trying to get help, but everyone kept disappearing. Unless you happen to be a regular - they were greeted at the door. As I was only looking for a Korg NanoKey2 (which they didnt have), I doubt they would have been eager to help out the little fish sales anyway.Prices were fair (when they were marked at all.) I usually shop at Sam Ash or Sweetwater, but I thought Id give this place a go. Guess Ive learned my lesson.
Were all hypocrites, and heres an example: Guitar Center pretty much sucks. Sure, there are some employees that actually know their stuff, but for the most part its the guitar equivalent of a chain auto shop: People telling you you need things that you really dont need, or lying about their product (had someone tell me a few years back that a guitar I was interested in wasnt made in a certain color, when I know for a fact it was). And yet, I still shop there occasionally, simply because their massive size allows them to purchase (and sell) used instruments for far cheaper than other local shops. But this latest experience really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted an acoustic-electric guitar for Christmas. My wife ordered me one used from Guitar Center and gave it to me for Christmas...only it wasnt an acoustic-electric. It was only an acoustic (despite the description, and the receipt, clearly claiming otherwise). We took it back to our local GC (this one, the Morse Rd. store) and got a refund, which is nearly an hour round-trip. A couple days later, found a used Seagull acoustic-electric I wanted out in one of their California stores. I called them up, and told them about the problems we had, and told them that if they would take $20 off its price, Id buy it right then and there. Now granted, I dont believe this CA store was responsible for the mistake in the first place, but you know what? A chain is a chain, and every store is connected. Therefore, a Guitar Center screwed up the order, and a Guitar Center had a chance to make it right. The guy in Cali, who I waited four days to talk to to make sure he got the commission, told me hed see what he could do, and then proceeded to never call me back.Great customer service. Im not going to say Ill never shop there again, but with this kind of treatment, its no wonder Guitar Centers have such a negative connotation among musicians.
Potentially unfair review incoming. So, the name of the place is Guitar Center. Not Synthesizer Center, Keyboard Center or anything like it. So, how frustrated can I really be?But if Im being honest, the keyboard area seems to have people posted up primarily for the purpose of loss prevention. I have gone into the synth area for maybe an hour or so at a time, and never been engaged by staff while inside that area. When I have made the effort to ask any of the staff here a question, (which necessitated heading to a counter), the staff did not seem familiar with the products at all, and also seemed to be irritated by my presence. One of the synths on the wall is perpetually unplugged, because it doesnt have a power button and perpetually makes a sound. Which I would totally empathize with, except that it has a volume knob... AND A SINGLE SWITCH TO MAKE IT ONLY MAKE SOUND WHEN A KEY IS PRESSED.Now, dont get me wrong. I know synths can be pretty complicated and perhaps a bit intimidating for some, and if I worked in a place where a machine just KEPT MAKING NOISE, I would probably lose my mind and unplug it one day too. But then Id study it to figure out the right way to keep it from screaming forever. (One switch will do it guys, you just have to look. No, Im not telling you. Show some initiative). The device in question is the Mother 32.I have one of my own now. I did not buy it here. Nobody bothered. I have also purchased about $3,500 of *other* synth gear in the last six months. None of it here, despite the fact that its all available from here, and sometimes at a better price.Because nobody cares. But all that aside, prices here are pretty standard. Sometimes even good. Selection is incredible, as even if you dont see what you want in store, its easily available to order. And Im pretty sure that the guitar side is a lot more interested in helping customers. Im also convinced that working for Guitar Center is probably not a great experience, otherwise people who work there would be more invested.Good companies can have a bad employee every now and then. Bad companies make employees bad. Theres your philosophy for the day.
I purchased a used acoustic/electric seagull guitar as a birthday gift for someone. Kevin Oliver played the guitar for me before I purchased it. What a wonderful tone...looked almost new and came with a case that he told me could be used as a floating device ...lol... the case is lightweight , excellent for traveling. If your in the market for a good used guitar...this is the guy to get it from.
Firstly I would like to give you guys a 5 star for having a lot of quality equipments. Secondly your staff are professional and they know what theyre doing. Thirdly the great prices and last but not least,I saved the best for last. Columbus Ohio guitar center GC garage guy Jovani is a really nice guy, he is friendly and cares about his customers. He did a fantastic job on my gretsch . His knowledge of guitars is at a professional level. He does a proper repair and his job isnt finished until his customers are satisfied and he tries helping his customers in any way he can. Guitar center you have a great employee 😎
We traveled to Columbus on January 11, 2015 with the intention of looking around for one of these particular basses. After searching a local guitar show and some other shops (Sam Ash - which we received amazing customer service at) we were unable to find the model that we wanted. How thrilled we were when, despite what a salesperson (Riley) had told us on the phone, Guitar Center DID have a 2014 Gibson Thunderbird, and it was on Clearance! That was the end of our excitement however, as the rest of the visit turned into a nightmare. Despite knowing exactly which instrument he wanted, it was over an hour before we would leave the store. We waited over 10 minutes for an associate to take down the bass we wanted, but we didnt really sweat that too much. We have worked retail for years and understand stores get busy. once he got it down, he played it for 15-20 minutes and then informed Riley that it was the bass he wanted. Riley seemed to completely ignore this statement, and went to go help another customer with purchasing an acourstic guitar. Once again, we werent really upset at this point because we knew the store was busy. When Riley finally got back to us, he went to go look for the case to the Thunderbird. After several unsuccessful trips to look for the case, Riley tried to tell us that the reason the guitar was on clearance was that it didnt have a case. We didnt get upset or rude, but pointed out that the tag on the bass said Price with Case. He kept looking and eventually there surfaced a Thunderbird case, out of the box, with scuffs and masking tape residue all over it. We really had expected to receive a pristine instrument and case when spending over $1000. However, Riley informed us it was the warehouses fault, and we were short on time, so we accepted the case and went to check out.At the checkout counter, Riley told my my total was a little over $1400, which I agreed to and swiped my card, signed, everything. Then he said he forgot to charge me for sales tax (Wed been at the checkout for 15 minutes at this point) I said okay, just cancel it out and charge me the entire amount in one transaction. I stated the reason I needed it done this way is because my bank is very sensitive to fraud detection, and if I am charged in the same store twice in a row, it will shut my card off. He assured me I wouldnt be charged twice. After a while I was printed a receipt for over $1500, and we were out the door, very relieved to not have to delay our 3 hour trip back any further. However minutes after leaving the store, my banks fraud detection line called me, and told me of 2 separate charges to my account, not for 1400 and then one for sales tax, but for TWO charges over $1000! One for $1444 and one for $1553. I walked back into the store, straight to the counter, and asked for a manager while I was still on the phone with my bank.I was never greeted, apologized to, or spoken to at all by a manager. Riley instead came back and said he was sorry and didnt mean to, but at this point, even my patience ad run out. Riley simply stood there while I begged my bank to reverse the charge without shutting down my card (which I would need to get back to Huntington) which they finally did on Monday.
Extremely pleased with the Store Manager and how he handled my issue. Also would like to say thanks to the guitar repair guy (forget his name) whos been there for four years. Their pro coverage is a joke... I wouldnt buy it again and recommend you do not. Just save your money and pay them to fix it at the store if you need a repair. The pro coverage people lied to me and drug their feet for over a month while a 3-hour round trip drive and a 20 minute cold solder repair fixed me in no time (even though the issue didnt present itself in-store he continued to check and work on my guitar). I will keep my business with GC and will not send anymore money to their pro coverage service.
Fell in love with the Fender American Elite Jazz Bass tonight! Gassin again but man it carries a hefty price. Best bass Ive heard.Lots of options for virtually any sound youwant also has an active/passive toggle switch that is incredibly loud and clear in active mode.Covers it all from Motown to snapping/popping, Blues, Jazz and everything in between.I like the black one with the maple neck.As always the staff was cordial and accommodating. Love it here!!
My rating does not apply to their sales or trade-ins. I think they offer decent sales and fair trades.I purchased a brand new guitar there that needed a neck reset - as determined after I contacted the guitar manufacturer. The manufacturer said it was absolutely covered by warranty, and just to take it in. This store is a couple hours from where I live, so I called and spoke to their tech. He said something along the lines of, Uhhhhhhh (long pause)... a neck reset is a lot of work, but Ill take a look at it.He took a look at it alright. The neck was already straight, but he insisted on cranking the truss rod until my neck had a prominent forward bow. That is not the proper way to correct an issue with a guitars neck angle - especially if it is covered by warranty. When I reminded him that the manufacturer said the neck reset was covered by warranty, he shrugged his shoulders and tightened the truss rod again. No, again, that did not fix the issue... He said any setup work addressing playing comfort would cost $50.I ended up receiving the necessary shims and truss rod to make the repair and set it up properly myself. Also - heres something else notable about this store. When I was trying out guitars, I was not afraid to spend an hour or two playing everything in and out of my price range to get a feel for what was really the best choice. This is one of the Guitar Center stores where whenever I have shopped here (mostly on weekends) there were never any of those douchebag shredders coming in to crank every amp in the store up to 11 and grab a Jackson or a B.C. Rich and show everyone they have spent hours practicing a 5-note dorian mode pattern and can play it at 180 bpm. It is sort of a quiet store.I walked in absolutely certain that I would purchase a guitar, and had a few in mind that I read reviews about online. They didnt have a couple of those models in stock, so I made an effort to try as many as I could. A salesman on the floor kept walking in every ten or fifteen minutes and really pressuring me to buy something. He kept saying, are you ready yet? and make up your mind? creepily staring at me. Im not sure if the floor staff get commission with their minimum wage or what, but I found that incredibly rude and it is worth noting before you go shop there. There is certainly a borderline between helping the customer and being creepy. My golden rule about Guitar Center - The more tats and piercings you have and the less you know about guitars, the more qualified you are to work there. Period. If you have a rainbow mohawk, they might just bump you straight to management.Take it or leave it guys. I would not get a guitar setup here (and for $50? Get out of here, you can get a better setup in Columbus for cheaper) but if you put up with these employees, you may just get a nice deal on a purchase or trade-in.
If you like sub par customer service, then this store is for you. I went in on Sunday 9/20 to purchase a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro LH. They didnt have any Left handed guitars in the store, so they told me they had 2 in stock at their warehouse, and it would be delivered to my house on Wed, 9/23. I would get a tracking number for the shipment in my email. I never got an email with a tracking number, so I called the store only to find out, THEY DIDNT HAVE THE GUITAR in stock at their warehouse and they would not have any until 9/29. They gave a lame excuse about having new software and it was giving bad stock info. Thats understandable, but not my problem. When I asked for some sort of compensation for their mistake, they offered me a whole 20 dollars off the $700!!??? Are you kidding me! Do yourself a favor and go to Sam Ash! Thats what Im doing. I bought two other guitars at GC a few years ago, but I wont step in this sorry store again. The manager didnt even attempt to appease me. He just kept making excuses. I would have kept the order if they wouldve seemed concerned about their mistake instead of trying to make excuses.

2022-07-11We visited this store as my husband wanted to buy an electric guitar. Our experience is great. The store has nice collection from cheap to expensive. The staff are knowledgable and helpful . Can’t recommend enough.

2022-04-26Im happy they had the accoustic bass I wanted in stock, but the workers were the worst. I asked multiple times for help. Asked about a case for the guitar and the braided hair fellow wouldnt take time away from whatever it was he was supposedly doing to answer me. I am married to a professional musician and I promise this will be my last time buying from the company. I guarantee Ill pay more money than do business with these guys or this company. The only reason Im giving two stars is bc I was able to get the bass.

2022-03-14Sometimes, we meet people who are extraordinary in the best sense. Today, I phone called this Guitar Center, and the Customer Service Manager, John, answered. He was the most polite, courteous, and genuinely caring individual I have spoken with over the phone. I do not recall having as good of a conversation in the past. John was extraordinary in his explanation of a guitar I had questions on. And I was curious to know more about Fenders guitars in general. From here, John went and discussed the variations in Fenders guitars over the past decades. This was essential information, to me, as such knowledge is hard to come by in a world where very few people are professionals AND experts, in their line of work. I really felt that I was able to learn something from John, today. For this, I am grateful.

2022-02-17Staff was crucial in finding a new amp to upgrade into. The manager at the time, I think John, was patient and a well of knowledge. Gabe was great as well! Definitely recommend this shop, but they get busy quick and are bit understaffed so be patient. Shop is huge!

2022-03-30Wanted to give some positive feedback to Kevin at the guitar center in Columbus. He was super helpful when I was picking out an acoustic guitar. Very patient and knowledgeable. I believe he said his manager was Amanda, hope she sees this feedback.

2022-04-01John, the manager at the Columbus, Ohio store was awesome to work with. I was looking for a guitar and he took his time and was above and beyond helpful. I cant thank him enough. A friend just bought a guitar from Guitar Center last week and told me, if you go talk to John. Thankfully he was available when I called.

2022-05-299 times out of 10 I get the worst customer service ever. Music equipment can be expensive but a life changing hobby to get into and you should go to a place where the employees are just as excited as you are. Sam Ash is right down the road, go there. Always the best customer service at Sam Ash.

2022-03-22Overall good variety. Some places were a bit hard to explore cause of random things in the store. Didnt seem to be enough staff. Had to wait like 8-10 minutes to be able to check out 2 small items. Overall not hatefull. Would hope busier hours have more staff.

2022-05-09On May 8th 2022 I called this store about a used guitar listed in excellent condition on the main store website: Gabe answered the phone call, with an attitude...After letting him know there were no pictures uploaded, he proceeds to ask me for my phone number to text images since he stated I am the one that took that in it is like new. I asked if it had any signs of wear or even a case and he immediately says he will look into it and send images. He grabbed the guitar during this 5 minute call for the record. One hour later I get images...images of the front and back, that are very hard to see. So he calls me after sending the images and I ask him again: Are there any scratches, dings, dents or signs of wear? This customer service award winner of the year says Uhhh it has some scratches and chips in the paint...Nothing that would not stop it from being as new...I also see fret wear and pickguard scratches. Remember this guitar listed as excellent condition. So now he proceeds to send images of the obvious damage on this excellent condition guitar: I tell him that the damage is through the paint and this guitar is nowhere near new...This guitar looked like it had been dropped five times and rubbed against the floor by the employees themselves. It clearly needed professional hands on this premature damage undisclosed in the listing: Gabe then says It is listed accurately even with this damage: I should have no problem selling it. I told him I would get back to him within the hour...So after getting the chance to examine the images without his annoying voice on the line, I clearly saw the reason why they do not upload images on their site of used gear. I texted him back (remember he texted images) letting him know the guitar was not graded properly and that it was in a good condition, nowhere near excellent he texted me back stating that they are short staffed and get over 10 pieces of used gear in daily and that they all make mistakes from time to time and that he should have no problem selling it...As if he was the store owner///Manager! This low life stated that if anything the guitar was in great condition: Then texted back he would have NO problem selling it...As of today, the guitar is still listed on the site with no images uploaded...still in excellent status...WOW. This false advertising will cost you, the consumer a lot of money. This is an instrument listed at $1000 dollars and these employees think that they can treat you like dirt...I will never ever shop with Guitar Center again! For the record, I have proof of the text conversation and images Gabe sent me. I can provide that if necessary: Also, the guitar listing still up with zero images in the condition of excellent with scratches and dings through the paint/body with obvious fret wear signs that will require a professional to repair, is still up as of this moment. If you have experienced this treatment from this or any other Guitar Center contact me to get a class action lawsuit together! We can send poor attitude workers like Gabe back to McDonalds drive thru payment collecting positions, where they truly belong! Not falsely advertising thousand of dollar equipment as new when its damaged and worn down!
