Grismer Tire & Auto Service Center in other cities:
The guy up front was incredibly friendly and straight forward. We came in at the end of the day with a flat tire and they were able to patch it quickly before they closed! I feel they are honest people and I will certainly be coming back for future repairs, services, etc.
I got a flat and wound up calling multiple times for assistance and Mike was more than happy to help me. Once I was able to get to Grismer, they were able to replace all my tires (it was long overdue) and get me on the road again in a couple hours. I was astonished! So appreciative to everyone there!
We were traveling from western PA and suddenly realized that our van wasnt running correctly at all. The nearest dealer couldnt help us and all the car rentals were closed. But thankfully Grismer was willing to fix our car for us even though it meant them staying open later. Were very appreciative and totally recommend their service!
The kind people at Grismer Tire were able to find what was causing my tire to leak. Unfortunately, it wasnt something that could be fixed. The salesman (I dont remember his name) was very helpful with giving us the options to replace the tire, or all 4 tires. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of replacing one versus 2 versus 4. I didnt have the money to replace all 4 when the decision came down to understanding that I needed to replace all 4. He worked with us on getting a credit account for the purchase. He also recommended changing the oil while we waited for the tires to be delivered to the shop since our purchase comes with 2 free oil changes!!This location took great care of us! They have taken care of my elderly mother in law as well! We will definitely be back and we will be recommending this location to our family and friends!
Would not recommend this place. Took one of my cars there and bought 4 new tires. A week later, my clutch was fried. Thought it was by chance, took another car there and bought 4 more tires, everything was fine until I went to take my tires off and found all the lug nuts had been bolted down beyond torque specifications. It took a miracle to get my tires off. Not to mention they ripped one of the studs off of my car and didnt even bother to fix it.
I have been going to Grismer on Woodman Dr. for years. When my vehicle needed new tires, I went to Grismer. With the purchase of 4 tires, I got 4 free oil changes. Before I bought my tires, I would go on their website and get coupons for whatever service I needed. Ive always been happy with the service I received.
Dropped my (6 yr old low mileage manual transmission) car off for an oil change here, because the dealership had a 2 week wait. Was called and notified the brakes were at 5% and needed replacement. He insisted the rotors needed replacement as well, and ballparked the total cost at $350.I turned down the fluid swaps he also suggested, as he admitted I hadnt reached the mileage at which they were recommended replaced. An hour later I get my car and a $550 bill. The best part? The inspection sheet he gave me listed the $189 rotors as fine. Will not return.
I went in for an oil change and to get a tire patched because it was losing air. Oil change went fine, a bit costly though. Walmart does them for about $20 cheaper. The real problem was that when the clerk reported on the status of my tires, he LIED and told me that two of my tires were showing wire. I don’t know what the guy was thinking, maybe because I’m 23 years old he thought he could take advantage of me and make extra money for the store?Anyway, I went out and checked myself and that’s the farthest thing from the truth. I probably have another 15,000 miles left on my tires and there are is no wire showing at all, anywhere, on the inside or outside of the tire.Assuming I would have fallen for his lies, the 70,000 mile tires he tried to sell me were overpriced by roughly $50 (again, cheaper at Walmart). Finally, I wanted my tires rotated and specifically had one scheduled that day, but they failed to perform one. Fortunately they didn’t charge me for one, but even so, now I have to go to Walmart and get that done. Time is money and this is a waste of my time.Perhaps this type of behavior is limited to this one Grismer store, which is full of liars and scammers, but regardless, I will never be returning here or any other Grismer ever again. And I’ll be telling everyone about this experience.
Dropped car off at 8:45 Saturday morning he said itd be two or three people in front of me and they should have it out by later that morning I got it back about 2:30 in the afternoon. But I was overall very happy cuz it was close and I didnt have to drive on a bad tire very far they do good work....
Give Scott a RAISE!Never in my life have I had a car repair place show me or educate me about my vehicle. I came in for a simple oil change and found out that it was like sludge (I get it changed regularly) but he showed me how to regularly check to see if it is clean or not.Good thing too otherwise it could’ve been bad news bears for my car.Really easy to talk too as well, he broke it down and used examples that I could relate to. Now that’s customer service!Pictures shown are how bad it was prior to Grismer cleaning it for me.
I called this location thinking I was calling a place we had previously taken our vehicles. I spoke with Jason on the phone who actually listened to me explain what was going on, and didn’t try to rush me off the phone or say “just bring it in”. He offered some insight, listened to me ramble and when I asked if I could bring my car in the next morning, he obliged. It was 30 minutes later as I was trying to set up a ride after drop off with family when I realized I had called the wrong shop. After recounting my experience on the phone with Jason to my partner, we decided to stick with Grismer, mostly due to the pleasant phone experience with Jason. The next morning, I was greeted by Mike and Jason, and the whole experience was as smooth as my car drives now. All the staff I encountered from management to the mechanics were super nice and knowledgeable. And it was a quick turn around! When Mike called to go over everything they found wrong, he didn’t push to get everything done at once, actually listened to my financial situation, went through a list of most important to what could wait, AND helped me get approved for financing to minimize the out of pocket costs yesterday, which was an amazing help. My car still has some work that needs done, and I WILL be back for the struts, Mike. Promise! Drove the car last night and it was a great smooth ride again. Thanks for everything, guys!!
While taking my three dogs to the groomers over the weekend, we somehow ran over a large nail and our tire quickly deflated. We found this Grismer Tire Woodman location and called to see if they would be able to get us in. Thankfully, the guy said it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived, they were ready for us and the process to repair my tire took about 30mins! We are so thankful to everyone there. What started out as stressful (especially having our 3 large dogs with us) ended so much better because they made the process smooth and quick. Thank you again for your great customer service!
Great service and excellent work - I always appreciate having all of my records in one place, and having management who remember me and techs who know my older truck. Thanks guys!— Especially appreciated being worked in right before the huge storm, and the explanations of why work is needed. :)
I made an oil change appt. for Noon. I asked when making the appt. the estimated time it would take because I have kids to get from school. The manager I spoke to said no more than an hour. TWO HOURS later the service manager calls me to tell me my diagnosis and that they were just starting the oil change. I did not get the official word to pick my car up until 3:30. I understand things run over and run behind or staff but I feel like 3.5 hours for and oil change was extreme.
Brought my truck in for a front end alignment. Was told this was not possible due to a lose front end. I was given an estimate all the components needing replaced.I be was skeptical, and so I went elsewhere to get a second opinion. Turns out, Grismer was 100% correct after all. However, I give only 3stars because the other place estimate was a whopping $560 less. So, in summation, Grismer is too over priced.
I always buy my tires from Grismer because of the great service after the fact. If you purchase your tires with them, they will repair them for free should anything happen. If they can’t repair them, they’ll prorate you the life of the previous tire with the new one. Tough to beat that.
I had bought a tire and had it installed. They didnt replace the old valve stem. I also had an oil change done. My truck takes 7 its oil. They charged me for 2 extra quarts but I checked the boil a few days later there was no oil on the dip stick. 2 quarts short. 60 dollars for an oil change and I didnt get my moneys worth.5/19/2021. Update: No one has even tried to contact me.
We were traveling on a family vacation when our car malfunctioned. Faced with basically no options, and with no one else willing to help us, we-as a last ditch effort-called Grismer. They were about ready to close on a Saturday afternoon, but they took mercy on us, fixed our car, and we were on our way. We are so so grateful! They saved our vacation!
This is the second time I have been in a pinch and needed a tire fixed or needed a new tire. Grismer has taken the best care of me both times I have needed help. They are all very friendly and very helpful. 10/10 I recommend this place! I wont go anywhere else! Thanks guys for all your help!!
I had a flat tire after the store had closed for Thursday evening. The next day, Jason managed to not only get my flat tire replaced but also find the source of a small leak, which the road service tech discovered when he installed my spare. Once the leak source was identified, he was able to get parts overnight and repair my car by the end of Friday. I truly appreciate the attention to detail the Grismer tech provided. I drive 70 miles a day, to and from work, and having a safe car to drive really makes a big difference for me.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, mike is incredibly rude and dismissive, i stopped in with a flat tire, i was told i could drop it off and come back in an hour to pick it up, and so i did, when i came back, mike asked what i was doing back, i told him i came back for the tire, and that i could wait if it wasn’t done yet, he said ‘that’s not what we arranged’ and literally shook his head in aggravation, and then proceeded to tell me that i was a walk in and that there are multiple people ahead of me, and that it might not even be done by the end of the night, what a waste if my time, i could’ve gone somewhere else
Said 1200$ was needed in repairs and some already done! Stating was leaking oil and needed work weird because I have a white driveway. Had my kid almost in tears because she didn’t know what she was going to do to pay for it. Car always maintained and only reason she went there was 4 free oil changes from new tires.
I called to have an oil change done and my tires that I purchased there checked. I was treated with respect when I called and at drop off. The staff was very friendly in a professional manner. They even told me my oil change was free because of the tire purchase. I wouldve paid for it as I didnt know. Super friendly. Ill be going to this location from now on.
Absolutely avoid. Went in for breaks. The calipers wont move and all must be replaced. Two hours latter at the Pit Stop in Xenia, a miracle took place. All the calipers were fine. Grismer quoted me $2100 for what the other shop did for $750. Also the parts Grismer would never be able to find and would have to fabricate somehow exist in Xenia. Amazing.
I was explained everything about the situation of my tire clearly and honestly. I feel I received a good value for my dollars. The waiting lounge was clean. My wait time was what I had expected as the estimate by your staff. I left with my car driving 100% better than when I drove in.
Went in this morning with a punctured tire from a nail and decided to take advantage of one of my free oil changes from my last tire purchase. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ive had nothing but good experiences at Grismer. This was my first visit to this location, but Ive been to Dayton-Yellow Springs and the Beavercreek location in the past. Same deal, good service and reasonable prices. Theyll explain everything and answer any questions, and dont push silly unnecessary up-sells on services like some other service companies. Highly recommended.
Omg they are wonderful! So sweet and so helpful, helped us during our time of financial stress. My wife and i will be taking our business there from now on!They joked with us and made us feel very comfortable! They made us feel very welcome and well taken care of! Thank you Mike and Jason!
Quick and considerate service with helpful and empathetic staff. Waiting area is clean and well lit. Hours are accommodating and prices competitive. We have been here several times in the last year and always pleased with the outcome. Car trouble is no fun, but having a team that can help in a pinch makes it a bit easier.Special appreciation to #8008/10111 (I apologise for not asking your name!), who went the extra mile to get me in and out and back to work today after a Dayton pothole claimed another victim. Thank you sir for your expedient service and friendly demeanor.
Went in for a 1230 appoint 4 new tires and an oil change. Got a call almost an hour later saying they needed to get the right size. This was after being told this will take an hour maybe hour and a half. This will add 30 minutes they say, no problem. Sitting here at 3 pm now an hour after i should have been here. Was told i can come back for my alignment test and alignment still. Which will take another 30 minutes. Appointment under different name wish people could adhere to the time frames they provide.
I have a very pleasant experience at Grismer on Woodman Dr. in Dayton, Ohio. I went in without an appointment for an oil change and fluids check and also tire rotation. I felt the cost was reasonable, the employees/staff were very specific regarding details and friendly and personable.
I have been servicing my familys 6 cars at this store for over 20 years. Always received great service. The current store manager Ms. Kristin Cox and her assistant Aaron are very knowledgeable, honest in their assessment, very professional, and totally focused on providing outstanding customer service. Many thanks to you Kristin and your entire team.
The manager tried charging me $15.00 plus another 33.50 for a key fob battery. Thankfully I looked at my receipt after I left and went back in.. After buying 4 tires and an alignment from them you would think they wouldnt try to scam you for more money. He then told me I was overreacting... just terrible...:/
The oil did eventually get changed. 8:AM appointment. Went for an hour walk and the truck was still where I parked it on my return. Excuses made for late employees. Another 10 minutes before the vehicle was brought in. When finally done I found my floor mat with greasy footprints and a screwdriver left under the hood not allowing the hood to close properly. Needless to say I am not very satisfied with the experience. This may explain why I quit going there several years ago. Thought Id give them a try again. Mistake!!!
This is a great place to have your car serviced.Update, took my car in because the fromt brakes were smoking. They quoted me 1300 almost for new brakes and other stuff they found wrong. Took it to my regualer mechanic and it wasnt even the front brakes. Got everything fixed and out the door for under 600. Grismere has lost my business
Made an appointment to get an oil change. My appointment was at 4:30. I got lost and didnt get there until 4:37. They took my car back to change the oil at 5:50pm. Almost 1.5 hours after the appointment time!!!!! I didnt get out of there until 6:30pm. HORRIBLE customer service. If it wasnt for the fact we got 4 oil changes for free when we bought 800 dollars worth of tires, would never ever return. Rest assured will never return again!
I have been coming into the Woodman Drive location for the last 8 years and these guys are great. I cannot tell you how nice the young man who helps me with my vehicle is. I have asked Tyler to come out to look at everything from my tires to my antifreeze and he never hesitates. Without my husband I have had to lean on these guys a lot more and they always make me feel welcome. Thank you guys for everything you do!
Being a customer to this Woodman grismer for more than six years the staff was great, but unfortunately yesterday I was there to change a tire, it was a big shock I brought my car with the tire pressure warning light ON, after changing the tire I found I got three warning lights ON, the staff is non-professional at all cause they tried to reset it but they failed after many attempts, when talking to them they explain it as the sensor is bad and there is a recall from the company “which is a big lie” which means that I HAVE to contact my car dealer to change it !!!!!I face a series of lies and false explanations to what happens to my car:After that I went to my car dealer to check and trying to solve the problem they solve it in two seconds as the pressure was not enough!!!!!I never recommend this place any more simply because you are dealing with non-qualified staff and instead of giving an excuse to their mistakes they give me false and non true explanations.
Fantastic service 9 months ago. The manager, Kristin, was very kind, knowledgeable and able to convey information easily regarding repairs on my car. Was at the same store two weeks ago and it is in chaos. The manager, Kristin, was moved to another store. No manager in charge. Scott (higher up in the company) was not helpful and very rude and abrupt! I will not return to this store!!
Ive had to modify my previous review a it seems that the work being done on my car was either not needed or not done correctly over the course of several months. Starting in October of 17 I had a tune up and things went downhill with my cars performance. Spark plugs wires were not seated correctly and when my car started acting off they told me I needed this part and that part. Turns none of that needed to be done per a better local mechanic who isnt charging me through the roof. Over the course of 3 months I spent about $2G there before I sought a second opinion. That was my savings, my funds saved to pay taxes, and a vacation fund...gone. No more.
I called to see if I could get an oil change and I really needed one but I knew if I called Honda they would have me wait a week or two just for an oil change but DJ at Grismers hooked me up. I called last second and they had me in and out within like 15-20 mins and it was a better price than at Honda. Talk about a real one.
The service that I received from Grismer Tires on Woodman Drive in Dayton was excellent. The man with whom I worked kept me informed on what he had found and took the time to explain how he had corrected the problem. When I paid for the service, I took time to thank Grismer for its longtime support of the arts in Dayton and of the students in our community schools. Grismer is certainly a good corporate citizen.Mike from Dayton
If I can give this place a -5 stars times five I sure would because I bought my tire at this Grismer eight months ago I never thought I would have a problem with one of my tires blowing out l took it up to Grismer tire get a tire replacement on my contract it says FREE Road hazard or tire replacement this is where they get you at even though your contract says free road tire repair or tire replacement The life of the tire I was better off buying a brand new one they said it was prorated from $88.99 down to 47.82 This is what you call Robbing somebody without a gun I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever go back to Grismer instead I’m going to take my business elsewhere maybe to NTB Or tire discounters
Beware of the female manager at this location. Quick summary of my experience. I came in for a brake problem , I walked out with four new sets. Come to find out , all I needed the back ones when brought to my regular mechanic. The reason this was true , is that my wife had the front breaks replaced 6 months earlier ( I was unaware ) from our trusted guys at Goodyear. Bottom line , she scammed me out of a few hundred dollars. I am more upset with the misleading information that cost me time and money I am mad at myself for not having the conversation with my wife about fixing the car while I was on a business trip. I am giving this place a big zero for 0 honesty. Not sure how they are training their mangers , but what I have experienced its not trying to make loyal customers but to take them for a ride in hopes to not see them ever again .. Lost Me forever and have told all my family at our reunion recently ( 100s of them and loyal customers to good businesses ) my horrid experience . Goodyear Has always been tried & true ! Again dont trust the manager at woodman , she seems nice but she is a thief in disguise !
Terrible!!! We went in to get a simple oil change and when they were done as soon as i started my car, smoke was everywhere!! We drove down the road then came back.the kid that did the job was like i dont know what i would have done to cause that come to find out he put 2x the amount of oil in!! He didnt check the dip stick or anything was terrible then didnt even give us our money back for the problem we waited 2 hours to have something fixed that vavoline could have had done right in 10 min!!
Came in n a groupon, first place that didnt up charge me for my large capacity SUV, it uses 1 or 2 more quarts than standard so theres always a charge. Between my best friends vouch and this first personal experience they are my go to car place now. Quick credit process with great special offers made my new tres a great value.
I blew a tire in the neighborhood this morning at 10a and when I told the guy at the desk I could not leave the car and was stuck, he said it would be hours before he could help me. Now I am stuck riding around hoping Grismers competition understands how to have customer service.
It had a pretty good experience. It took longer than I had expected but they were short staffed that day and they had to install in addition part. Other than that they were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. It was not the most affordable repair but it was well exacted.
Bought 4 tires and had to return due to the front ones not balanced. A month later i had a defect bulge appear on the sidewall, replaced the tire and had to return the next day to get it rebalanced also. Overall, id give a lower review, but they addressed the problem both times and fixed it.
It seems every time we go there for our rotation from our tire purchases it’s a headache to deal with the manager, they constantly try to sell my daughter stuff she don’t need, I have, and still am, an automotive technician for over 36 yrs and the only reason this location is working on any of my vehicles is because it closer to us, but we will be making the journey to the Patterson location from now on for our tire related problems as the company itself is great, just the Woodman location management sucks and needs to be dealt with
Not a safe place to leave car overnight ,surveillance cameras do not work: and if car gets broken into: which happens often, they say sorry for lost, happens all the time!! no offer to help replace thing that have been stolen! If the company would have disclosed this, would have take things of value out of car,you will wait hours after call police, just to file report! go somewhere where your car will be secure!

2022-01-01Ive been a long time customer of grismer and Im always happy with the service they provide. But the rates are just too high for me to continue with my business at their location. I would love to support a local shop and the guys and girls that have always taken care of me. But I recently paid $108 for an oil change and tire rotation and that price is just too much to be sustainable. I have several cars and family in the automotive service business and I will now be searching for a new place to have my work done. If you lower your rates, please reach out to me, I would love to continue to support this business but these prices make it just to unaffordable.

2022-02-16They were amazing! Got my car in right away for diagnostic, had it fixed quickly, worked with my warranty company, & were super polite and professional throughout the entire process! We take all of our cars to the woodman location and have never had any issues. Will continue to use them.

2022-07-03I have used Grismer for years to work on my cars. My latest visit involved a flat tire , and the tire was only 1 1/2 yrs old. They prorated the tire so instead of $200 it was only $82. They are honest, never do any work without consulting me. I highly recommend Grismer.

2022-01-18Called them this morning explaining my tire was losing pressure quickly and asked if they could get it checked out. They got me in right away and it only took 30 minutes for them to take my tire off, patch it, and put it back on. So grateful for them getting me in!

2022-06-02I ran over a sewer drain cover that was not flesh with the road. The result of it was a broken bracket with 1 of the struts poking up through the bracket. I immediately drove my car to Grismer. They were able to take a look at it almost immediately and fixed it in the same day and had my car back to me in just a couple of hours.

2022-06-24They found a rare tire for me, most people just said no they dont have it before looking in inventory. The man I spoke with looked at multiple sites to find and order me one. And on top of it, it was cheaper than anywhere else I looked. Fast and friendly!! Thank u guys so much!
