Griggs Reservoir Park Disc Golf Course in Columbus
Not a bad course, nice links course with a simple circular layout that borders the road and river. A little too generous on the par 4s and repetitive with short low 200s par 3s but some fun forehand dominant throws in there and hole 18 really lets you open your arm up but is a bit over generous with a par 5
Super open course. Mostly 300 foot average. Can be played as all par 3 for experienced players. Be careful though as some lines cross other fairways so be mindful of your surroundings.
Classic disc golf experience. Old course with old baskets. Keep an eye out for folks walking on the course.
This is a great disc golf location for beginners such as myself. Pretty easy to get to and figure out, and the course isnt too hard without being boring. Not much shade, so wear sunscreen!
Always a good time throwing discs out there! Not a difficult course so its great for new players. Some long distance throws around 400ft, but mostly straight shots. Higher chance of losing a disc to the river after it rains, it rises a lot!
The par 64 layoff is not applicable to this course. It plays as a par 55 at best. Lots of open driving space for beginners, but likely not challenging for anyone with decently experience.
It was a neat short course. Most of the baskets were straight ahead but it was a fun beginner course that was just right for my skill level.
Cool disc golf course next to the river. The park is mainly just the disc golf course with a walking or biking path through it. Bikers/walkers beware that there are occasionally misthrown discs that may come close. Theres only one course that comes close to the river so if you are a beginner, either be careful or just skip that one. Split between 3/4 par with one 5 par at the end. Mostly open fields with some trees along the sides and some nets are tucked into the woods
Had a great time. Course wasnt too challenging for newbies but long enough to challenge newbies.Footing was easy- no real treacherous walking
If your not there for disc golf its a decent time. But if disc golf is your objective then a very elaborate course is in store.
Love this course! great open shots and a few really tricky ones! Pars are super forgiving but still keep it somewhay challenging!
Great course for skilled and beginner players. You have areas to rip discs and areas to practice or hone in on your skills.
Solid course thats short and great for learning disc golf. There are a couple challenging holes, but overall this is a friendly open course. Everyone around the course is always friendly and dont be afraid to go by yourself, meet some new people, and having fun throwing some discs.
Solid overall course. There is a good mix of short holes and some bombable ones. Several par 3s should be 4 and several 4s should be 3. An update would be nice, along with distance to the different pins. Can be confusing where the next tee pad / basket can be if you havent been before so directions at the pin to the next hole would be super. Use uDisc app until youre familiar with it.
Recently got the baskets back in the ground and mowed. Looks like a hay field at the moment, but it will get better. Not the best course, but not the worst. The Scioto smells horrible in spots quite often down there. You can tell the club does the best with what they have. More trees removed since I was there last, which is a bummer
Great disc golf course that isn’t too challenging; however, BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CAR. My friend had his car window smashed in broad daylight and a purse was stolen. No one said anything or seemed to notice, so the burglar was sneaky. Do not leave anything in sight and keep your car alarm on.
Griggs is a well established course. It plays fast and casual. Usually there is no issue with skipping around to play open baskets when it is busy. This is a good go to for launching off a couple new discs or to play a fun casual round. Enough obstacles to challenge yourself if you want to.

Great park. Well kept. The disc golf is mostly open and straight ahead so not too challenging but it has some nice holes. Cement pads and most tees are marked. Park is along the river and lined with mature trees.
The disc course is young with little tree cover -- but is coming along nicely and is quite playable. During the summer, stick to the morning or evening hours, as he lack of cover can be brutal in the afternoon sun. Conversely, heavy rain can flood the fairways nearest the river, eg. 17 & 18.
Love this course. Wide open, beautiful, 250-500 ft holes, only a few spots where you can miss a throw and hit the river
Great course, one of the better around the city. Definitely bring waterproof shoes! Can get busy on weekends but worth the wait, unique course.
Pretty big course that changes regularly. Disc Golfers are friendly and generally sober. Wednesdays are really busy thanks to informal tournaments. Only con is that the course has a lot of wide open holes.
The course is pretty easy with almost being entirely open with a few scattered trees. Very few holes where your disc can get lost. It does have a map at the beginning but each tee has no map and it can be hard to find the pin at times.
Great course with nice views. A few difficult holes so I recommend having some experience before playing here. But overall super fun spot

I dont get what other people see in this place. Totally boring holes... each one is pretty much a straight shot in open grass. Some are really close to the river where losing a disc is way too easy.
One of my favorite disc golf courses. Its well kept, and rarely very crowded. Decent variety of holes.
Great course! A couple baskets are asking the river and can lead to trouble, but the course layout is great and plays fantastic.
Great intermediate level course. The difficulty went down after all the ash trees had to be removed, but still a fun 18 holes.
Great frisbee golf course. Always beware of the river, especially after rainy weather or when playing any of the holes along the bike path!
Peaceful park to walk, drive and yatch
Open space with few real hazards to lose discs. Unless of course you throw an errant one into the woods that border the course or the river bordering the west side, but thats usually only a problem in the Spring.
This is a great park in general, you have the river, some nice paths to walk/jog along as well as a very nice disc golf course.
This is a great place to improve your skills. Offering simple to medium holes with the threat of water stealing your disc on the back nine.

This course is built on the old campgrounds that Columbus used to have here. The course isnt bad, but the parking lot is in dire need of some work.

Griggs is a great course, but its overly trimmed these days... Not nearly so difficult as it used to be.
Over grown, lots of poison ivy, no trash cans. Was decent for a quite walk.
Nearby. Friendly. Great walk even if you cant throw a disc.

2021-07-11Great course for beginners (like me!). It seems like a pretty easy course, just don’t loose a disc in the Scioto! The bank is pretty small, so if you’re a beginner, play it safe.

2022-05-15Im new to disc golf and had fun here. Not every tee is clearly marked and baskets are a bit old and difficult to see. Still, had some challenges for me and although a bit damp the course was in overall good shape.

2021-01-17Another good Central Ohio disc golf course. The holes are long and fairly wide open. The park is much more meadow than woods and follows along the Scioto River.

2021-10-22This is an off label review for this place. I really like to walk my dogs here but its much too busy between frisbee golf and other park patrons. We like to come after the sun goes down. The grass is mowed and theyre have done a large amount of bush hogging on the slope so theres not a lot lf surprises. We havent been here a lot recently but all the riverside parks along this stretch are pretty good. My guys are off leash and love it. Oh and not a bunch of trash either which is great.
