Greyhound Bus Station - Trotwood in other cities:
Disgusting customer service. They cheat passengers demanding $20 in cash and no receipt to prove what its for. Theyre extremely rude and stealing money from customers is unfair and unacceptable. Greyhound customer service says there is no cash only fee that theyve ever heard of
This Greyhound bus Station..in Dayton Ohio is located some distant from the town... not too far from the Dayton Transport service. However the Greyhound bus Station Customer Service Representatives were awesome and courteous. The Lady manager ought to be commended for the way she treated all the passengers traveling to Indianapolis IN that evening.Very sad indeed that we had to wait for 4 hours before our next bus arrived.Could the Greyhound bus authority do something about this sad situation
The bus station itself isnt remarkable; it is just a small building with a small waiting room. But, I absolutely give this place five stars because of its staff. They were AMAZING.My first trip via Greyhound, and with my guide dog at that, and the employees at the station immediately felt more like friends than strangers. They were caring, kind, and very concerned that each person waiting was comfortable and reached the correct bus. One employee was particularly wonderful, going out of her way even to ensure my dog had fresh water to drink. I wish I had asked her name; she is one of the nicest people Ive met anywhere.
TLDR; Get the refundable ticket, the fee is worth it if you have cancel, because their customer service is a joke.If you get a nonrefundable ticket, you can change the ticket information (destinations, dates) for $20 fee + price difference, but you cant change the location for another one if it has partner buslines, like Jefferson (I believe), are involved. If you try to contact customer service, only able to through email, expect to be passed around like a hot potato and still not get any satisfactory solutions. Im going to be out over $300 if I dont go to South Carolina tomorrow, and Ive already canceled my hotel reservation and wont even have any transportation; Id have to spend the whole week at my drop off/pick up location alone. I could change my destination and dates, but I cant change them for somewhere else I want to go because it involves other lines, and customer service put me through four representatives, playing hot potato, and they still cant, or wont, help.
They lost my checked-in luggage that their employees put in the luggage compartment of the bus two stops before my final destination I saw my luggage under the bus compartment when I got to the next stop which was one stop before my destination I noticed it wasnt there I called I had the employees try to track it they didnt want to do anything they said that they didnt know this that they didnt have a phone number for me to call they acted like I did not have luggage they did not want to do anything to try to help me recover it when I got to my final destination I went to customer service there and they told me I would have to wait a number of days to see if it shows up and then I can file a missing luggage report and a claim on it
This 5 star is only meant for the lady who seemed to be the only staff member here. She may seem a little grumpy(which is obvious as SHES THE ONLY PERSON WORKING THERE) but she ensures every passenger is helped for and they find their bus. Kudos to you I hope Greyhound adds to the staff.
Absolutely loved it the staff were simply amazing at assistance to passengers like myself and all others there. She also made sure everyone was understanding of what they would be doing with the transfer and extremely patient and that is a rarity so for not only how you treated me but especially others bi would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you to find what ever it is you need for you truly serve others and for that I must be your witness and I must testify to your character you are an exceptional human being
Do not travel grey hound. They do not accommodate the customers . They could run hours late. Rude workers. Time frame is horrible everyrime. Over priced everything. They try to make you stay on the bus every stop unless your at a 2 hr delay. They run late almost 100 percent the time. So they change it to you can go have a smoke. Then they will take off on you. Pay attention. Have hotel and plane ticket money.
This station is poorly ran! it looks as if no one cares about the people that bought tickets from them. The person that runs this station ought to be ashamed of themselves. I needed to get on the 630 bus as i was trying to get home to my children. I had to wait an extra hour and a half for the person to change other peoples tickets to get on another bus. This isnt the first time this has happened either. I hate it here and no one cares. Ive never seen the station manager and when you ask for one the people at the desk ignores you. Shame on you greyhound, print the right tickets so we can get home to our families!!!!!!
If I could give a negative star I would this has been the most unpleasant bus ride Ive ever had I have been on public transportation that was more organized than greyhound out of 15 encounters with their staff 14 of them where ridiculously rude. Not to mention how out dated the buses are and they are so unorganized it reminded me of the first day of school when I was in the first grade 35 years ago in fact the school probably was better I would not recommend anyone to travel with greyhound youll probably have a better trip hitch hiking.
Between Greyhound and Baron businesses I spent 14 hours approx. traveling from MC to Indianapolis. I was stuck in Ohio overnight. We finally started the journey again to Indianapolis around 7am. I know most all the business are blaming the hiccups on Covid 19. No excuse. There should always be a backup plan for these things. The paying passenger should not go through this nonsense. I choose Baron for there clean more spacious bus which they did there part until I got to Ft. Wayne thats when the unexpected delay began. I wasnt transferred to a Greyhound from there. So Baron bus took me to Ohio to continue to Indy because the Greyhound didnt pick me up in Ft. Wayne.!!!!!!!!!!. So I was taken to Barons next stop COLUMBUS OHIO!!!!!! Until 7am. NOTE: My journey began Thursday @5pm from Michigan City Indy ended on Friday around 10am from Columbus Ohio.
I had a 30 minute layover n every since the drive for my route took over control of the visit been like a dictatorship. A fellow passenger needed help understanding his bus routes when the drive come over the p.a and tells me to shut up or get off. Further more I have to take the bus from California to Maine out of all the drivers this one stands out coz of his bad disposition.
The bus terminal for Dayton, Ohio actually lies in the town of nearby Trottwood. The station itself is little more than a dilapidated structure with a horrific, unkempt restroom, no AC nor sufficient facilities. At least theres a White Castle across the street & an easy jaunt for folks with a layover. The bus comes around behind the building and stops near an empty garage or something... not much of a bus stop but the ride was nice.
I missed my bus the clerk was so kind and supportive I had never gone far from home or been on a bus that far but she stayed calm and helpful her son and grand daughter were there visiting her on lunch and she still remained very helpful and respectful thank you very much I say there for 6 1/2 hours and if it wasnt for her I would have had a break down
It was really bad and they dont care if you get sick they put people right. Next to you they leave at a stop fir 5 hours with no driver to take you to where u have to go i want half of my money back never again and the bus is not clean will never ever do it again. no starts they make u put one
I met the most caring woman at this terminal her name is Ms. Tabitha and she was the warmest most caring and wonderful person I have met in a bus terminal EVER. I only had an hour and 5 minute trip left but because of COVID-19 I had a 5 hour layover she took the time to engage in conversation with me and made the time fly by...GREAT job Greyhound on finding this undercover Angel cause she was truly a blessing for me and a couple of others
An excellent review of the service. This is one of the better places for me to stop Siri I guess I had a younger driver and he was one of the best drivers Ive had there were people that were having a hard time but that wasnt me I want to drive 30 miles and have a 4 hour layover was kind of ridiculous and to not be able to exchange a ticket saying the bus was full and it wasnt so they didnt have to do paperwork was ridiculous I thought I had some problems because I have everything set up
Awful. My trip from Cincinnati to Detroit took 11 hours and 3 ticket changes due to bus delays that originated in the south and southwest during the week of 5/9/21. Greyhound tried to be accommodating with the rescheduling to another route but then the connecting bus routes were delayed from 5 to 8 hours with no reason given by Greyhound for the delays.
I was sleep walking by time we got here. I do remember the bathroom not being clean. I understand a lot of people are in out these bathrooms but they need to have someone there keeping them clean. Females have to set and use the bathroom when its not clean its hard to use. They may need to hire some more people to keep these places clean.
The bus experience in itself is great. Drivers are great and for the most part timely. My low rating is with Greyhound customer service. To say they suck is more of a compliment than they deserve. I asked for the station phone number and keep getting the call center who gave me the station number which keeps re routing me to the call center. Really? Unbelievable.
The staff are friendly enough, so even though they are telling someone not to smoke in a certain area or not to drive into the bus lot, theyre only trying to do their jobs. I go through this hub nearly everyday, and I feel very safe here. The place is kept clean, even for a bus station.
Its terrible to still have humans sleeping on ground outside.... Then the police were called due to sum fight about to break out. I took clean smooth ride with BARONS BUS SERVICE DOWN TO DAYTON OHIO FOR a funeral and lord behold the GREYHOUND TRIP 3 DAYS LATER ON RETURNED WAS A HOT MESS FILTHY..... DRIVER ON PHONE... AWFUL SERVICE
I think the whole Greyhound operation is on its last leg. The buses are in disrepair, broken seats, busted restroom doors. At this station my bags and I were attacked by aggressive roaches. Customer service was minimal. I had a 16 hour trip with layovers and bus changes. It was a nightmare! I did get to my destination.
This photo is incorrect! The bus station is on Salem about half a mile away!but the greyhound station is in a rundown trashed parking lot although the associates and drivers are very helpful and friendly ticket prices are very reasonable especially with gas prices rising!
The building is so small and no one was there. Bus was late by 2 hours and it was very cold outside. It is not the place in this picture. This is the city bus and told Greyhound people they had to leave and go back outside. Some had a 9 hour layover, some 3 hours, with the bus being late it was 5 hours out in the cold at night. Bus was supposed to get there at 10 pm, gotbthere at 1am. Bad area, bad place. Again rude employees
This station was one of the stops on my way from Ga to Oh. I have nothing bad to say about it. Its a cool, laid back spot to run in and grab something to drink or a snack out of the vending machines. I just have one question about all Greyhound stations: WHY IS THE FOOD SO HIGH? Thats it. Lol
No answer ever! Lost dd214 and all service related documents in United States Air Force duffle! Submitted several emails to lost baggage , attempted to call corporationNo answer from anyone ever , very sensitive government documents as well as sf86 security clearance paperwork. Not cool Greyhound!
They messed up two different days on the bus connections. I would have not made it to my second connection both times because the buses where running behind. So what I had to do was drive to the second location so that avoided the connection. What should have been an hour trip. (Just to the bus station) turned into a four and a half hour trip. Even better when I did made it on the bus the seats where uncomfortable.
Cheap way to travel between cities. It goes without saying that it requires more travel time than usual cars. However, it’s a clean place. You can wait here till the bus arrives. You are your luggage both are safe here. During winter, they have heaters inside so homeless people can stay here for a while too. Happy journey from Dayton to Cincinnati, Columbus and nearby cities.
Convenient location. I usually book online. Smooth and easy transaction. However, if one more dude try to pick me up for a one hitter quitter like Im truly that damn bored. Some traffic can be maintained a lot better with these nuckle heads. Like damn no you cant go with me and no I wont go with you.
Its a fairly large transit center that is usually clean and well staffed. Good lighting at this facility. The restrooms are usually clean. This transit center is very close to Big Lots, China Cottage and Speedway. Thats good news for people traveling on Greyhound and locals that are changing buses via RTA.
Terrible part of town, but clean, well lit with security cameras, and some nice employees. I dont recommend hanging out in the parking lot any time of the day, but after sunset I wouldnt even be close to the door until your bus comes. Also bring food and drinks. Vending machines are very high priced at Greyhound stations.
This bus station is really large! The Greyhound buses pull right up to the curb , close to the doors. The restrooms are very big with multiple toilets , sinks and mirrors. Theres a phone charging station with 5+ outlets. Very easy to see from the road, sharing the parking lot with a Speedway.
Very clean and friendly place and I will take Greyhound also again if you ever want to go from here to Tennessee or like the Kingsport make sure you go through Cincinnati to Cincinnati Russe the best and God bless you and make sure you go go Greyhound and if youre over for 8 hours late make sure you ask Chrissy lady if you can have a free meal and ask for a voucher and they will give it to you remember go Greyhound
Took my mother here to catch her bus. This location doubles as a bus depot for the local public transportation line RTA. Very confusing access driving in and out. Very limited and uncomfortable seating. We drove there from another city so as soon as we arrived we all needed to use the restroom. My husband and son were confronted by an employee who came in to clean mens room. She argued with my husband unnecessarily. Turns out she was a welfare to work employee, not someone hired by Greyhound or RTA. The security guard spoke with my husband and everything was ok from there. The best thing this place had going was a bookshelf so you have something to read while you wait. The kids took advantage of that. Probably the only reason Im giving 2 stars instead of 1.
Your bus driver for you . What can I say about greyhound , only they would moved a stop where people can recognize where the bus station is to a building which you can pass very easy and no place to stand inside to wait for the bus . The picture that shone the bus doesnt stop there anymore .
Not the nicest drivers in the world. Some of them are quite rude. But theres about a 70% chance you will make it to your destination safely. Be warned that they have state troopers randomly inspecting buses because there are a lot of wanted criminals and drug traffickers that use greyhound. They may want to search your stuff. You could also be stuck between buses if someone calls out sick and it doesnt go up the full chain of command. They are great with ticket refunds in that aspect though. So rider beware. If you can get someone you know to take you it might possibly be a better idea and just give the money you would spend on tickets to them to pay for gas and food.
This is the worst Greyhound that I have ever been. They say they have internet available but they dont. They dont have any vending machine and the person who works there does not help at all. I have been there twice. The first time the bus broke right in the corner leaving the station. The second time they didnt let me enter in the bus because they said it was crowded and I had to wait for the next bus to come (7 hours later) even though I had my ticket in hands. I hate it.
Ive traveled often greyhound bus line, where I have always found a comfortable seat, a safe bus terminal to and from any destination, or lay over. It is a good way to travel in order to safe money verses, personal vehical, air, other. The help line customer service is great with knowledgeable, friendly associates that have always went above and beyond the call duty to see that my travel plans were meeting my exspectations.
Horrible place to be stuck for hours I know first hand was delayed there for 8 hours and was able to see how this conglomerate bus company works and I tell ya once they have your money your on your own Ive been on 5 coast to coast bus trips and New York and a few bus tops across this country are worthy of any praise my 63 hour trip ui p was prolonged 25 hours because of a bus driver got in a fight with a passenger so everyone suffered
The Greyhound bus station call center which is located somewhere in central America according to the ignorant rep that I spoke to has no idea that Greyhound lost their contract with the RTA in Dayton Trotwood and was trying to get me to book a ticket for that location even after I told her they stopped service there as of October 1st. This is so frustrating 😠 . Educate your staff for God sake.
Very bad experience...came from Indianapolis bus a hour and 15 mins late get to my destination and they so call loose my bag? I saw guy put in on bus. Bbut person who takes bags off states she couldnt find in yet didnt take all bags out hmmm. And then bus driver says she has to go. Is it my fault the bus was late to begin with...no!!! Then I come in and they state I have to call them back to see if they found my bag. And she doesnt have a 1800 number. Really!!! Very disappointed all the way around and I have to waste my time and gas to come back!!!!
Every time I use greyhound I am extremely disappointed. My 2 hour layover just turned into a 10 hour layover and an extra 4 hours of actually riding the bus because they scheduled a trip but dont have a bus or a driver. And of course, no food vouchers or hospitality. Not even so much as an apology. They only get one star because I cant give zero.
Worst way to travel ever! My niece booked a ride from Dayton to Savannah and her and other passengers were left behind at a fast food restaurant during the only stop. The stop was only ten minutes and the driver only came back after the cops were called because she’d driven off without the mother of a small child who was still on board. My niece said the driver was unnecessarily rude to everyone.
My first and only experience with the Greyhound company was the most appalling trip that I have ever had over my 70 years, including four years in the U. S. Navy! The ride was bumpy, long, dirty, and they managed to lose my one bag somewhere between Nashville and Chatanooga. I will never ever take a Greyhound bus again, even if it was totally FREE, which I would never expect to happen in this lifetime.
Was scheduled to leave at 9:05am. The lady brought 6 of us onto the bus and then left without the rest of us. Now Im scheduled to arrive 4 hours later than I was supposed to with Tim sensitive plans already in motion. The people who work here want to blame it on us for missing it. Ridiculous.
Horrible experience i am currently stuck in Dayton Ohio i was supposed to be in Chicago by 3pm on mother’s day from Atlanta Georgia i had to reboard at every stop because of the busses being late. The team at the Dayton terminal asked the driver to wait because the team from the Cincinnati called and he still left a group of people here now no one can board the next bus until 12:45am
Nothing wrong with this particular stop. Just not a fan of Greyhound period. I rode Greyhound for 4 trips. One of the first two was the worst experience of my life. Bus driver stopping in the middle of the road, cars flying by on both sides, and then kicking someone off the bus. Wasted an hour on that alone. Busses are usually late at least a few minutes, although I really cant blame any one person, and it seems to be getting better. Dont count on Greyhound if you are on a strict schedule. Its reliable as far as getting you somewhere, but not by any specific time.
Its a bus with people on it! Stop complaining you signed up for it. Yes it gets hot yes there are smells yes you get woke up yes there is a lot of stops. Ok now thats out of the way u. Try a travel ticket x amount for a 6 month or yeah ticket travel as much as you wany in that time frame. You can also order a ticket a month in advance for the $100 ticket
Greyhound has the worst customer service, as a transportation company, you need to at least be able to reach local terminals by phone. If no one is going to answer the phone, whats the point of posting useless number on the web only to hang up on customers. My dads first leg of the transfer was delayed, hence missed the transfer bus, they expect him to wait for over 14 hours at the bus station to go back to his departure, to leave for his destination again. Does this eve make sense? First of all, my dads not in perfect health condition currently, so he cannot go through that, i called customer service, only to be told they cant reach the local office either... WAHT??? What kind of big transportation company runs on this kind of logic??? You guys really need to think of better backup plans in case of delayed buses, you cannot make customers wait for over 14 hours at a bus station....
Worst travel experience of my life. Buying tickets was a drag, they kept expiring. Customer service was never any help. Bus was late, and then broke down. I do not and will never recommend Greyhound to anyone. Save your money, rent a car, ride your bike, or walk. Do not take a Greyhound bus.
It was the least horrible of the stations along my journey, Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Huntsville... Those seats suck, none of my buses had usable wifi. They advertise it but dont got it. I experienced a taste of HELL on this greyhound route from Richmond IN to Huntsvill AL.
I would have to give this 5 stars for being the most unprofessional and unorganized greyhound bus stop ever!!! Like you get a bus ticket and they only stay there for like five minutes and Then they gone. They dont even answer the peoples phone calls for the online booking part ugh horrible service when it comes to the drivers!!!! I want my refund!!!
Always have a problem with Greyhound. They have lost my luggage twice... Bus got into an accident one time... This time my bus was delayed during a layover.... After several hours I inquired... They told me my bus wasnt going to be there for 2 days!!! They didnt even tell me, I had to ask!!! On the plus side there is WiFi and phone charging on board
This please need to inspeaction by autroity gov b/c the bus uncofortablr, nasty, rude coustmer service and poor providers in the world they are hackers i pay 170$ after i pay the coustmer service laydy she say you are going to wait for the bus 5 hr than after i arrive pisburge 2 hr than 1hr than 30 min i said why u not explain to me befor u sale the ticket she say this the way we work no refound the ticket this is the worst please in the plante .
I have been transported through the city of Dayton (Montg. County) since August of 2014. Its not so bad when you sleep on the bus and a few city benches. The city starts to lightning up. I hope the Trotwood transit will pick up the phone so I could schedule a route out of town.
The place is an okay area. The staff are helpful as they should be but can move at a slow pace sometimes. Unlike most Greyhound stations, there really isnt any wifi available (or at least wifi that works). It s a place that is also a center for Daytons RTA information. Its a get in and get out type of place. Make sure to print your tickets and get there on time. Since its not a stop that hosts a lot of people getting on buses, the drivers are less inclined to wait. (This is key information if you are going to take Daytons public transportation to the station - which is really....really slow).
Very bad services. They have stranded us at a stop in middle of highway for 3 hours just because the a.c. isnt working. No information about when they going to get us back on the bus, and we r still waiting. No employee around cares or knows anything.I dont care about the a.c. We would have reached home by now!
I am trying to buy a ticket to get my husband home and I have had to call SEVERAL different people I even talked to your customert svc rep his name was Avelio and every person I called told me to call a different number... Your employees in Richmond IN were very RUDE and Disrespectful... I have been unable to talk to someone to even get a price to Western Union the money to him and I have called the richman office 10 times now and been hung up on several times, or it rings for several min and then goes to busy singal...I will never recomend your company nor will I ever use your serves in the future... I have never been so disapointed with a company... I finally got ahold of your office in Dayton OH and she quoted me two different prices when I told her that her office just quoted me a cheaper price so she lowered the price and then hung up on me... I will never use nor call your company again, and I will let all my friends and family know I will also post it on face book for all my friends to see..... Thank you for your time since you wasted all my time....

2022-06-21Its always dirty, the glass in the front doors are broken, trash everywhere. The bus is never on time, so the next stops are cut short to make up time, so if you needed food you were out of luck. The driver was courteous and friendly but everything else is always a hassle. What happened Greyhound? Wheres your responsibility to customer focus!

2022-06-07I give one star to the mouthy counter worker who was there Saturday. I was in the bathroom for lees than two minutes and she came banging on the door so I came rushing out thinking something was wrong. She then runs in the bathroom spraying Lysol everywhere. (I was only going #1 I swear) Then she was following the other bus riders around spraying Lysol behind them. Maybe a germophobe shouldnt work at a bus station. JsI gave three stars instead of one because the older gentleman who was there Monday night was really nice.

2022-06-16This is the worse bus trip I have ever been..the woman in Ohio..took my ticket last night.. after me getting there at 3pm ..waiting for my next bus..telling me it wont be until 815 the next morning..I got a room under the understanding that she was right..and she in fact..dead wrong..she took my ticket and gave me a ticket back to Detroit where I just came from..it was the station in Columbus Ohio..so I ended up not getting on the bus last night because of the wrong information she gave me..

2022-06-15Very small waiting area for the number of passengers that travel on the Greyhound. Also, if you have to stay outside due to the limited space, there is no covering to protect people during various weather conditions, such as rain, snow, and extreme heat/sun. Greyhound needs to do a better job providing adequate seating and waiting area for their passengers.

2022-04-01Id give 5 star for the lady and the man on duty on Thursday 03/31/2022 morning to afternoon. But I will give ZERO star for the lady there 04/01/2022...she was full of foul language and seriously cursing a passenger with words I cant repeat. I was shocked and very disappointed. If greyhound needs a good image...then you need to reconsider having such an Associate.

2022-03-02I would give it zero stars if I could. Supposed to be open until 11pm but was closed the three hours prior while I was there. But the sign says open, go figure. Absolutely no overhead protection from the weather, or any protection whatsoever. If its raining, snowing and freezing, congratulations and enjoy suffering. Youll have a great new story to tell your family, unless you brought them, then they will just hate you. Will never choose greyhound again.

2022-04-28Horrific service. Got talked at by two angry staff at the same time, then told not to act so confused. Cant imagine ever sending a loved one to travel through this cesspool, I dont want to go back there myself. Not a safe or sane space.

2022-03-13The female employee at this greyhound bus station is extremely nice and professional. She asks everyone who walks in where they are going and makes sure that everyone is going on the right bus. The greyhound employees at other bus stations like the one in Indianapolis are really rude and not helpful.
