Greyhound Bus Station in other cities:
I thought there was no smoking on the property?? Doesnt that mean no smoking where the buses pull up and near the benches? There are no smoking signs posted everywhere ,but people where puffing their lungs away outside. ALSO, The lady at the metro booth gave me the wrong information , she told me the Dash bus didnt start running untill the Aug 22 but I saw two Dash buses come into the station! This station is much nicer then the Cleveland Station, but its not a 24 hour full Greyhound station. I was glad to see security made sure people didnt loiter. The bonus was the bathroom didnt stink, it was clean!!!!
Worst service ever & they cause buses to be late on purpose just to make money off there food staff is horrible everyone should be fired black ppl can’t run a business to save they life horrible service waited 7 extra hours for a bus which it’s three buses outside not one left within 2 hours Nashville Atlanta all greyhounds need new employees or experienced employees with manners tried asking a worker about a bus just walk past me
Its a good place I mean what do they usually look like in the bus stations its clean they dont have any problems they have their own police station in there and police are always running around and its right there if they need to be theres a place to go in and get stuff to eat and they have machines I mean it you know its clean and the buses come in they got to office here to tell you if you have any problems with your buses or you know which way to go they tell you its its a decent place
Where shall I begin... Ok over allSo shady! Why would you ask someone to be there for two hours early with no access to a restroom? , AlsoFares and schedule subject to change translation : Bus can and will leave 4 min early and you pay an extra 20 a new ticket, the latest incident: try to purchase a ticket online for $79, have a problem with the site for 2 hrs. And after my second call for help and the ticket jumps to $92!
Oh my so glad they were open this time, I mean who locks the people with tickets out? Akron, I would understand if it was normal but really? so glad it was open this time, if your gonna close a place like this at day light hours, dont drop people off, bathroom, sit down, cant eat. greyhound do better.
My review is based on experience and seeing, this has to be one of the top 5 worst bust terminals I have traveled through. They were nice enough to cover all the electrical outlets so the public can not use them. How convenient. Worst of all there are buses that still come in after 9 PM in the evening. They close at 9 and you are left waiting outside. Just poor management, and someone always has some lame excuse of why things are like this currently like this.
It was good while I was waiting at transit, but I had a terrible ride on the #30 the driver refused to tell me when he was leaving so I couldnt go in store and get what I needed. Then I had to get ride back from supervisor because he didnt want to bring me back. Very unacceptable to everyone Ive talked to and myself!
The staff, while mostly helpful, are very short and not so friendly. We gave visited on several occasions and have not had a pleasant speaking person once! This even includes an active military send off. I would think at least a level of respect would he there. The people at the greyhound customer service desk need training in how to be nice and approachable because they surely are not.
I showed up in the middle of the night, fairly delusional, angry. no where to go. I was walking all over this place recording videos of shadow people smh I explained to the security station what happened and they worked with me to protect my best interests. Greyhound had alw^d been amazing for that though lol
I travel around the world... A lot. Ive seen it all. This station does the best it can with what it has.Its a city bus hub and a greyhound hub. So you can expect all sorts of people. During school hours your going to get a lot of unruly kids in and out, but the police and staff deal with them well. If your not used to this type of inner city operations, then it will probably shock you a little. The building is newer and well kept and not at all hard to navigate.
I ride the bus everywhere I havent ever had a bad experience at the transit station, you also board Greyhound from this transit station as well as local buses and the food inside theyre little food stand is excellent! For bus station food its better than most the actual restaurant breakfast Ive had in town, I always get sausage gravy and biscuits. They have security at all times so its very safe and well lit at night
Very disappointed that greyhound didnt have better quality services to alert riders the busses would be late or running late! Very also disappointing that no workers are at the station to alert riders in the process. Easily goes to 1 star in my books but Akron Metro they get 5 stars easily for their work.
Words cant describe this place! I felt totally unsafe waiting for the bus. The driver was horribly rude. No one helped me with my carry on nor my luggage - Im handicapped missing my left hand - the driver just barked at me to hurry up with my luggage.Bus was kind of messy and the seats were horribly uncomfortable. I couldnt adjust it at all and the driver wouldnt help me when I asked at any of the stops. Never again! I would give no stars but it wont let me.
Can we give negative stars? In the last 6 months I booked three trips from Cleveland to New York. One was several hours postponed and did not even honor my priority booking that I paid $60 extra for (two people). So dont bother with that fake upgrade. The other two were postponed, postponed, postponed and then cancelled in the middle of the night and we had to get a ride home from the bus depot. Never never ever will I even attempt to use this company again.
I use Greyhound very often and have used it for years. I travel between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. While in the past Greyhound was always prompt, it is almost certain that you will be stuck with a several hour delay every three or four trips. Also, the staffIsn’t very friendly or accommodating when delays do happen. This is true in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Occasionally you may find someone who’s nice to you. I must say that the bus tracking option in the app is actually quite good. This time Greyhound hit a new low. The whole bus smelled of urine all through my trip from Pittsburgh to Cleveland. I think it came from the bathroom in the bus. This is the last straw. I’m buying a car.
Can’t believe the experience I had of such poor service. My trip from Baltimore to Akron should have lasted 14 hours including layovers, but ended up being 26 hours because of extremely late departures, ineptitude of the drivers (on two different busses we stopped on the side of the road, the second one lasting 4 hours until a rescue bus came and a new driver), and lack of communication between the driver and the greyhound station. I’m very disappointed. Any American company should be able to do better than this in service.
My wife took Greyhound to Nevada...it was a horrible experience..now on her way back she is experiencing delays due to bus breaking down. She was stuck in Iowa for over 3:hours....they left her and other passengers and their luggage after they left them at the bus station . They never told them they were leaving...this experience with Greyhound ruined any fun she had on her trip. She will never use Greyhound again and I personally will tell everyone I know not to use them. They have her luggage and who knows if she will get them back...By the time she does get home she will be delayed over a day and a half...
Bathrooms were in total disrepair vending machines were not working and there was no food but thats to be expected on a weekend but it was a horrible event cuz every place I went was the same Gray dog Somethings Gotta change because I dont think youre going to make it I think youll be bankrupt in a few years if you keep your practice the way it is now
On September 22nd, Sunday night, we were returning from overseas trip with the last destination to Cleveland from New York by a Greyhound bus. The bus was supposed to depart New-York at 10:30 pm and arrive at Cleveland at 6 am the next morning. There were about 50 people standing in line ready to take an overnight trip by bus. There were children and elderly people among us. At 10:30 pm the bus arrived but the people were not invited to get in and were left behind the building doors. 10:45 pm - the bus is still there but there was no driver. 11:00 pm - we are still standing in line behind the doors with an empty bus on the other side. No one from the Greyhound services or from the bus station announced about our bus delay or cancellation. A bunch of people continued standing in line in the unknown about what is happening. Everyone was patiently waiting for the bus because there was nowhere else for us to go in the middle of a Sunday night. When I called the Greyhound 800 number to ask about our bus, they COULD NOT find the answer! Yet, the lady on the phone tried to lie to me saying the bus is delayed on a route while it was standing driverless behind the door! “Shockingly”, she could not reach neither the driver of the bus, neither her supervisor, or neither the bus station desk! As we learned much later, the bus driver delivered the bus to the New York station and LEFT without getting a replacement driver! He simply DUMPED the bus and the Greyhound company completely failed handling the issue! They left people stranded in the middle of a Sunday night just hanging there on a station without even notifying them about the situation or giving them a SOLUTION to a problem, like offering another bus! Of course, the next Greyhound bus was already sold out and filled with its own passengers that left at 11:30 pm while we were still there! The situation of unheard of! I have NEVER experienced this kind of level of HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. Poor children were crying and the old people had no place to sit down but their suitcases. Someone was sitting on the floor playing a guitar trying to keep it fun and hopeful. But there was no hope and no bus. I decided to get out from a hopeless situation by taking an Uber to get to a car rental so we could drive to Cleveland through the night changing drivers. By than it was nearly a 36-hour day for me and my daughter and the last thing I “needed” is driving through the night while my brain is shutting down. While driving back home I was wondering about those poor people who continued standing in line past midnight not knowing what to do and where to go. But most of all, I was furious about Greyhound! Their NEGLIGENCE cost extra money to rent an Uber, to rent a car, to buy gas, to drive dangerously thought the night, and most of all, it cost an enormous amount of stress. They sure refunded me the tickets when I called and complained, but what about the extra expenses that I acquired because of THEM? I filed a BBB complaint but there was no justice. So, I seek justice about the situation that took place that night. For all the people that were there that night. Greyhound company should be punished accordingly for what they did to people, and I have a feeling this is not their first time. The BBB file for Greyhound was filled with complaints against them! If Greyhound continues operating their business with impunity for their unethical treatment of their customers, and, possibly, their employees, they are going to put many people in danger! Please do not use Greyhound bus services for your traveling needs! When Greyhound fails you - you fail HARD! Greyhound company needs new management or it should go away!
I cant speak for the station itself or the travel but just my booking experience. I just booked a ticket for my Dad who was not capable of booking himself online and does not have a credit card to do so. They charged an $18 gift fee for booking for someone else. Complete garbage. I called to complain and the person I got on the phone had a heavy accent that I was unable to work through. Disappointing.
An entire bus load was unable to put luggage in luggage dept below. All passengers had to put luggage in carry on shelf above seats. It was So dangerous. Customer service was unable to give the passengers baggage destination tags and were not allowed to check luggage. Very dangerous situation on bus ride. No personnel were able to correct situation and write out the bag tags. Poor customer service.
Ok station is what you would expect at a greyhound station. Lots of questionable people there but had lots of security checking everyone out. I go here to ship large packages..cant beat that price ships up to 100lbs for less than $65-70. I ship small furniture items so this is great
I am talking about the Greyhound here. The station itself is ok. But my experience with greyhound was the worst thing happened in my life. I travel a lot inside US. I have seen so many greyhound station. This one is the worst. 1) they never departs on time. I went to Pittsburgh 5 times with their bus. It should be departed on 12:10 pm but in reality they never departed sooner than 2:15 pm. Every time without any exceptions. 2) the greyhound agent should announce about delays just like other greyhound station. But not for this one. 3) One time the bus for the Pittsburgh did not come until 3:30 pm I asked the agent to give me my money back because it was useless for me to go to Pittsburgh anymore. They agent was very rude and didnt give my money back (Pittsburgh greyhound gives your money back) .My suggestion is, there are so many alternatives available. For my case I pay 115$ to go from Akron to Philadelphia to greyhound. You can go to Philly with 65 dollars with rental car if you know how to do that.
Well my girl friend and her sisters luggage got taken off the bus for no reason!!!! they stopped!!, for 2hrs, not changing buses, got put on a bus going west, when she is traveling east, they found out and the luggage is on a another bus traveling east to Akron, 12 hours behind, WOW!!!!, You should refund some of the cost of the tickets, poor service!!!!!, I pick them up in Akron at around 5:00pm 09/16/2014, but might have to turn around and be back at the Akron station at 6:00am on Wednesday 09/17/2014, to pick her and her sisters luggage up!!!! and if her sister has to be there to get her luggage, Ill have to drive over a hundred miles round trip out of my way, and will have to get up around 3:00am, because of the incompetency of your employees, we feel that we should be compensated!!!!!
The company is staff is pretty bad in general. I do not want to be mean, but no one in the company can give information about anything. They are not polite and not willing to help. If you ask for help to someone, they just say they cant help and walk away. Why cant they at least indicate the person we should look for? I made the trip Akron-Cleveland and then Cleveland-Detroit (MI). That was one of worst choices of companies. I regret.
They are the most unprofessional company I have ever seen. My trip was from Tulsa Oklahoma to Akron Ohio. For starters The first bus leaving Tulsa was 2 hours late. Then once we got on the road we found out that the bus driver didnt even know where he was going and we had to GPS the route for him. By the time we arived in St Louis we were now 6 hours late. Then the driver was totally unprofessional. He was kicking people off the bus and wouldnt let me sit next to my husband and when I pleaded with him he threatened to kick me off the bus. Also he wouldnt allow the passengers to talk to each other, or use our cell phones. Then because of the time delays when they rerouted us they rerouted us to Cleveland Ohio instead of Akron. And thats not the half of it. Once we got on the bus from Chicago to Cleveland the bus drivers ezpay pass for the toll roads didnt work and the driver couldnt get through to grayhound to resolve the matter. Which puts us another 2 hours behind. We were supposed to arrive in Akron at 3:05 Friday afternoon and didnt even arrive in Cleveland until midnight Saturday morning. Where they had to send us to Akron in a taxi cab. Which would have been fine except it was two in the morning and the Greyhound station was closed. Then I had to call a friend at three in the morning to drive 38 miles from his house to pick us up and take us home then drive another 38 miles back home. I called customer service and they said they would refund me for my ticket, but almost a month later still no refund. I have traveled all over the world and country and this trip was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I even ended up with namonia from standing outside in a snowstorm waiting for my friend to take me home. Appalling!!!
1) Cleveland Ohio terminal has NO Timetables posted, no one knows where to wait for your bus, you get different answers from different people. How hard would it be to put up a screen like an airport departure screen?2) Booking tickets on the Greyhound website is as bad as the airlines. Price change all the time and without notice.3) Greyhound customer service could not tell me where the bus stop - pick up point was in Athens Ohio!! They told me to call back later and ask someone else - and they didnt know either. How can you run a bus line and not know where the stops are?4) Customer service is worse the cable companies!!5) Just a dismall business.
Security is lacking I do not feel safe even though I am a man you kind of take care of myself they allow drug dealing and junkies and drug abuse to go on in their property in the bathrooms Etc I was solicited for money buy a panhandler traveling public should not have to put up with such conditions did you go to this Greyhound please be careful if you are our lady girl woman Etc do not travel alone do not let your children travel out there alone
Never on time always an hour late , tickets are so ridiculously expensive , the no refund policy makes you even more mad when their drivers make you late to your next destination and then they take forever printing out a another ticket for the next possible time to the same destination to make for making you late.
When you get your ticket look at the busline on top of the ticket! IF IT SAYS BARON YOU HAVE TO CALL TO LET THEM KNOW THEY HAVE A PICKUP!!!! GREYHOUND DOES NOT TELL THEM and your bus will NOT show up! barons has been having a repeated problem with greyhound not telling people they need to call! damn near cost me a job!!!!!

2022-06-10Most staff are rude at the window and bathrooms are almost always dirty if not downright filthy especially end of night. Charging stations nvr work right. Men loiter in lobby trying to pick up women. Food cafe closes too early.

2022-06-06This building is like nothing Ive seen before. It is a city-block-sized indoor bus station. It is clean, the air is clean. The staff are friendly and humorous.

2021-10-15This station is always clean. Heavy police/security presence to make commuters feel safe. Unlike bus stations in major cities like NYC, they care enough to keep the restrooms open. I ate at their café for the first time today also. Good food and the two ladies that served me were sweet, professional and funny. Keep up the great work over there, yall!

2022-06-09Ticket counter inside RKP TRANSIT Center. Certain times of the day when the ticket agent is there. I should point out beside Greyhound, Barons Bus Lines, GoBus, etc are examples that provide Intercity Service.

2022-01-03Apparently it closes at 5pm??? I arrived at 7:15 pm to await my departure and the doors were locked. I saw passengers inside tho. Eventually security opened the door for me and said they’re closed. But she let me in since I had a bus ticket. I’m so confused. How could it be closed when busses are coming and going?
