A very diverse venue that offers multiple sized rooms and areas for virtually any gathering. The hotels in the area add a nice selection of options for anyone coming to a event on site or even a nearby hockey or baseball game as both facilities are within walking distance. The food court is open and offers a good selection of options. Its always very well maintained and the staff always helpful.
This is very nice convention center, its huge, and Columbus isnt hard to get to, not like going to Chicago or Atlanta. Parking in the area isnt the best, but not horrible. I was surprised at how big the convention center was! There are also plenty of restaurants and bars to go to with customers and vendors. Id be more than happy to come to another event at this convention center.
I came for a Pokémon Tournament. There isnt much to say about this besides I had a good time. The hall was nice and the place was clean and the restrooms where good.Like there isnt much more you could want out of the venue besides that.Looks = GoodFood Options = Great, Standard but quality was goodClean = YesEasy to Find your way around = Yes
Located directly in-between downtown and the Short North. A perfect place to take a break from the crowds or to get out of the weather on those less than dry, sunny Columbus days. However not anymore. Security is quick to jump on anyone looking like they are there to relax, or just for a quick break. Although is likely the last place in the city someone can still use the restroom indoors and for that they get 4 stars!
Went for a state wide volleyball tournament. Very chilly on the floor. Parents were wearing coats and nuzzled under blankets. Had the bring you own chair or stand from 8 am-6 pm. Bathrooms outside of the expo floor were clean, but the ones right off the floor smelled like gas station bathrooms. Food court had a nice selection of food choices eventhough it was a tad expensive for what I received. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Good experience eventhough it was very cold.
Greater Columbus Convention Center. Is a real nice place to hold events. Its Super Huge & they have different ballrooms. This year 2022. The Convention Center held almost all of Columbus City Schools Senior Graduations. And The Volleyball TournamentsThe Staff was very nice & very helpful ad well.
It was really cool there! It was super busy because my family was there for my sons graduation! #classof2022 Congratulations Ian Jessip! Lots of parking and even tho the area gets jammed with traffic easily, there were other routes to use to avoid the traffic! Enjoyed the events and location!
Overall the convention center is really nice. Its well kept and clean. Our first time there was for a volleyball tournament and we had a good experience. The only issue we had was parking. We were in the east surface lot associated with the GCCC. We found out after that we could have entered the facility from a spot closer to the lot. Some signs around the lot would have been nice to point us in the right direction. Also, we were leaving later at night after the all day tournament. It was close to 11 pm. There was a line to exit the parking lot. No traffic on the streets, but a line to exit the lot which took more than 20 minutes to get through. This is even with 2 lanes exiting. Then when we were the next car in line, one of the machines just said closed. So the entire line of cars had to back up and get in the other line to leave. Horribly inefficient. We even had reserved parking that we paid ahead of time. Which means all we had to do was scan our barcode and leave. I would much rather see one of the exits as a pre-paid/reserved parking exit only.
Fantastic convention center, super easy to navigate. Went there during a convention called Ohayocon. Organizers and Hotel staff were ***excellent.***Everything in relation to food, lobby areas, hotel rooms, and bar were super great. If you want to go to a convention in Ohio, theres no better place to go than the Great Columbus Convention Center. Period.
Staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the Convention Center. Beautiful place and very well kept. The Center is conscientious about waste, so there are bins for recycling, compost, and landfill. There are filtered water stations to reduce single plastic usage. It is connected to Hilton and Hyatt.
I attended the Arnold show this past March at this center and it was a great experience. Very large and spacious area and well organized. There are so many meeting rooms and hotels attached to the show floor and was very convenient to move around without having to go outside in the cold temperatures of March in Columbus. The coffee shops, bars, and the little restaurants were great and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
Absolutely gorgeous facility! The staff and volunteers present for our conference were extremely helpful and friendly. Im not sure who was providing our meals and snacks but I believe it was the staff at the conference center - either way, every meal was delicious. Everything was always clean and taken care of. Nothing but great things to say about this facility!**Be aware that this is a HUGE venue and its not hard to get lost on your first day
AWESOME.....the Convention center is very large, plenty of room for multiple events at one time. Its conveniently located in the downtown area, which has multiple hotels that are directly connected to the Convention center. This is a big bonus when you are traveling with 25+ cheerleaders. Which means you also dont have to worry about finding and paying for additional parking. The facility was very well clean, and also had different places to eat inside...plus a Starbucks, which is a favorite of our CHEERIFFIC cheerleaders.
Ive been here twice since 2020 for USA Volleyball and each time I visit I notice something more interesting about this place. Its always clean and have a very welcoming ora. The kids were excited to see charger ports and seats everywhere. In one weekend it was the fencing competition, a dance competition and volleyball tournament. Parking was easy and its multiple entrances to the convention center. Its a huge hologram in the lobby with different visitors faces which was so amazing.
Great venue for the fencing tournament. The area was safe and had so much to offer. The parking was expensive but plentiful and safe. Parking on the third level has the walk across. Bathrooms were clean, atm, food cafes, and polite staff were all 5 stars!!! Lots of Uber drivers, a few homeless folks were around but they were polite as well. We felt totally safe at all times. We actually stayed over in Germantown which was a straight shot to the Convention Center. Google maps did not work well. Cell providers did not provide extra service for the increase of people and so other apps were wonky. But google maps was ridiculously bad. He drivers said that usually they did however.
Had a fun time with my boyfriend just wish it could be a little cheaper and was more to the dinosaur exhibit. The food was good and will take my family here. Great for family or a cute nerdy date like my boyfriend and I did. My favorite was still the dinosaurs and jukebox cant remeber the name but the old time exhibit and yes you can choose a song it works you just have to wait until the song end then you can choose. He dedicated stand by me to me 😍
While visiting the Convention Center for an event we received assistance from a young lady named Aaliyah E. She spotted us walking in the wrong direction, got our attention and showed us where to go. Later I needed Information and was helped by Denise who was working in the Post Office there. She was able to answer my questions and asked me if I was going to be having lunch and made sure that I got coupons to the restaurants located there.I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the buildings. Walked through the main lobby and the Atrium. Was surprised that the barbershop was open because of the bad weather. Great experience. Would definitely go there again.
I travel a lot and I can safely tell you that this is one of the best convention centers around. Its newly renovated, the furniture feels new, the space is open and inviting. I go here semi-annual for anime conventions, and just the building and location make these some of the best conventions around.
Great place for a conference, well lit rooms comfortable cooling, great sound system and acoustics ,friendly staff, good selection of fast food restaurants in food court area, clean and inviting environment, ample restroom locations, great location to nearby outer restaurants
Massive Convention Centre stretching across High St from Nationwide Boulevard. Easy access through a skywalk from the Crowne Plaza Columbus Downtown, and attached to the Hyatt Regency and Hilton. We were at the Convention centre for the Pokémon Nth America International Championship 2018 and could not get over the sheer size of the place.Toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. Multiple cafes and restaurants along the stretch including a sizeable Starbucks with indoor and outdoor seating. This is the first Convention Centre (in all my other travels through US, Brazil and Australia) which housed an international food court. I was so pleased that we could purchase various types of cuisine without having to leave the centre into the hot American summer heat.Where Hall C and D are located, there is a huge LED head sculpture which portrays faces of visitors to the Centre after they have their head shots taken by 30 cameras in the booth behind. This not only attracted the Convention centre participants, but also passers by on the street. It is an amazing digital sculpture. There is also a sculpture of Arnold Schwarzenegger, in a muscleman pose of his glory days, in the outer garden through one of the many doors along High St. There is the North Market which is open every day and offers various cafes, takeaway foods by Nepali, Indian, Vietnamese, Belgium and other vendors. Various restaurants csn be gound all aling High St close to the convention Centre
This Convention center was amazing during our visit for AVS symposium. It was conveniently connected to our hotel through the bridge. This center has many meeting rooms on two floors and several sections. In addition, there are two or more giant rooms for the symposium-like events to be held.
Had a great tyme @ Tha Arnold Classic! Kool Atmosphere! Congratulations 2 ALL tha Athletes that Participated & putting on a great show! Thanks 2 ALL tha Athletes, thanks 2 Arnold, & thank you 2 tha city of Columbus 4 an amazing experience! Thank you Namaste!Oh yeah, P.S. ILL BE BACK 😎
I mean its a convention center not a lot to say I mean its got a nice selection of food inside and coffee Starbucks anyway and considering the hotel I was at said they had a Cotton Hill breakfast and then told us when we got there that they dont do that anymore it was nice having something nearby
This place is really spacious, can probably accommodate more than one event at a time. Restrooms are well kept. Sound system good. U have directions at several points like you see in airports.. But sometimes its a little too easy to be lost. The staff were really helpful.
The bathrooms are always clean, the staff is very courteous, and the selection of places to eat are amazing. I highly recommend Ohio Noodles and Charleys!!!The décor is very pretty and there always seems to be a birdy that wanders into the fold court. :) It flies around the wavy lights in front of Ohio Noodles, not bothering a soul. The renovations to the food court make it quaint and elegant. Its wonderful. I highly enjoy each visit I make here.
I rented a meeting space for a couple of days. All the way through from getting information about the options available, to signing on the proverbial dotted line, and the room being set up exactly as I had requested, was an easy and pleasant process. The onsite staff was super helpful as well with my very minimal requests.
I really liked the convention center. It is much bigger than I expected, and is really nice on the inside. I was there for a conference. The conference space was nice. I gave it 4 stars because there wasnt a place to check a bag, so I had to carry my luggage around after I checked out of my hotel. And, the coffee shop and market both closed well before the expo ended everyday.
The convention center is centrally located in downtown Columbus near the arena. Parking is sometimes a challenge, especially during the day when work is in session. The facility is in good shape, but hasnt seen a major update renovation for as long as Ive been going (20Y). The walkway to the Hilton is a bit convoluted and circuitous. Overall, pretty good.
Ive been to the convention center many times, mostly for comic cons. I like the new renovations theyre doing. The whole facility is being updated and it looks nice. The food court is always good as well. Not CCW friendlyUpdate as of 5/29/22:For some reason we kept finding their restrooms locked, as well as their outside entrances and sky bridge from their garage to the convention center, all locked.....an employee had to let us in, after parking in their parking garage. And there were only Subway and Jets Pizza open in their food court.......during a convention.
Very nice, well located, spacious convention center in Columbus. The space is well put together, well maintained and always busy. The staff are friendly, professional and accommodating. And there are now plenty of good restaurant, hotel and entertainment options nearby.
I always enjoy attending events at the GCCC. It is kind of at a disarray right not with the renovation. But it is coming along and it looks like the modification/expansions are going to be awesome. The Columbus Chamber of Commerce held their annual meeting in the Battelle Grand ballroom. They staff was great, food was OK. Event turn out top notch overall.
Downtown convention center, connected to a fairly large Hyatt Regency. The convention center is pretty long and narrow, but there are quite a few large and small spaces and rooms, so many different events can be going on at the same time. The facilities are also very modern and kept up fairly well.
When you have a major Con like Origins you dont lock out the patrons of the Con before the Con hours have ended for the day. I was told it was because of the homeless. I ran into 2, yes 2 people begging for money, during the day out of thousands of Con goers. That is no excuse. If you have a problem then get more security, dont lock every outside door to the convention center by 7:30. Those of us that would like to go out for dinner would love to get back in the building. This happened two days in a row until it was resolved.
The convention center has everything but it really does have high prices. The parking seems to be OK but everything seems to be priced poorly. The venue has really great lighting and I really love the staff that work there though it’s in fortunate part. The police are extremely helpful as well and you can always get around to find a really fantastic bathroom in a quiet place if you need to do some dirty business. I really think that the carpeting as a really nice motif boutique feel.
Large facility with several sections and room blocks, nice rooms, food court, exhibit halls...the only thing making a 4 is very difficult to navigate between sections and rooms (up and down stairs, long corridors, confusing directions)-utilize the concierge to help find your wayClean, including restrooms, nice convention space
I went to a MTG Con with my fiancé a couple weeks ago and I was very impressed. The interior and exterior of the building is beautiful. They have nice, clean bathrooms, the ballroom looked lovely, though I didnt go in. The only downside is parking availability. I had to park a few blocks down in a garage to avoid the hassle of the street drivers from parallel parking.

2022-03-07Very clean and very spacious, very conveniently connected to Hyatt Regency Hotel so don’t have to leave the building and simply walk from the hotel directly to the convention center. Came for the Expo and Sports Festival, was pretty cold weather (34F-35F day time) but was comfortable temperature inside the convention center. It is located in Columbus downtown, few other hotels nearby as well and only approximately 15min drive to the airport.

2022-03-07This place is crazy. Its absolutely huge and there is space for just about any activity you can imagine. Ive been here multiple times for the Arnold Sports Festival and its always been clean and accommodating. Its kind of fun exploring around, as the building is connected to all sorts of peripheral buildings around the area.Parking can be kind of a pain. The Goodale Parking Garage fills up fast, so I recommending the Vine Street Garage if you can grab a spot there.

2022-05-14The fall 2018 Girls Nite Out event was nice and funny. Not a big turn out, but it was hosted by Vivica Fox and the special guest entertainment was Genuwine. Good sounds and lighting. The female comediennes did their thing. Decent ticket price. Metered street parking and parking garages near by.

2022-03-07Since its upgrade the convention center is better but its still deliberately complicated it seems. Its just way too big. But for the size it is its still pretty organized, I like the updated lighting and the giant morphing head.

2021-12-07I visited the center for the Ohio Star Ball (OSB) competition and the place is amazing!! It has numerous places to host the competition and its various events like designer dresses, the pro shows and mainly the dance competition event. The competition went very smoothly with very less hiccups too!! Moreover, it has multiple eateries with variety of foods. The place was really huge and you could get lost too😅. I had a really great experience and would definitely visit it again!!

2021-10-02I always love coming here for the Arnold expo. Good restaurants on the bottom level and a great comic shop that takes me back in time. The additions they put on the convention center are vast and great. Looking forward to all the Arnolds and am looking to compete myself.

2022-06-04Attended a graduation for Ohio Connections Academy in the Battle Ballroom. This is a very nice facility located in their heart of Downtown Columbus and there were so many other interesting events going on the same day.

2021-07-12Wonderful place. Great for conventions and events. Well placed food places, as well as restrooms. Attached to a nice hotel convenient for any conference or event. This event was a garden show called Cultivate 2021.
