Rude Terse Apathetic=================Working downtown is a perfect reason to use RTA. You dont have to deal with Parking, and you can catch up on some books or other personal entertainment. However having used RTA for years, Ive come to the conclusion that Ill be driving from now on. On several occasions the bus simply doesnt show up. Theres an app that will let you know when that happens, but they dont send a replacement bus, they just dont care about your schedule. On one occasion the window was stuck open in the middle of winter and it was very cold. The driver said almost exactly this to me You get a ride. We dont owe you a seat. We dont we you comfort. You can call the complaint line. That about sums up what RTA thinks about you.RTAs Rude Terse and Apathetic service is not the only reason NOT to take RTA though. The customers are just as bad. Many people have speaker phone conversations or listen to music loudly on terrible cell phone speakers. Many neglect personal hygiene filling the air with smells of body odor, urine, and worse. Customers leave garbage on the seats and floor, Ive seen used tampons, dirty diapers. Some of them even vape in the back of the bus. If you try to do or say anything, be prepared for aggression.I am done with this, and Ill be adding to the number of cars on the road because RTA is unreliable and plainly doesnt care.
I seen a bus on St Clair last night (1-21-19 @ 6pm) on multiply occasions with only 1 headlight and another one on Clifton with no lights on on the back of the bus (1-21-19 @6:30pm). With this weather and as dark as it is at that time and while snowing, not sure why the lights are not on in these vehicles. That is a DOT requirement that all the lights work and are on during proper times?
Cleveland has one of the best transit systems in spite of being poorly funded and having antiquated equipment. One of their failings though, are the drivers who think their only job is to drive the bus. There should be a push to teach their drivers customer service skills.
I know every transit system has its ups and downs and everybody may occasionally have a bad ride or experience, but I am still very grateful for RTA, as it gets me where I need to go and I seldom have any issues. I enjoy riding the bus and am thankful for those that drive!
Absolutely trash. Ever since they raised the bus fare, theyve gotten lazy. The buses are usually 10 to 20 minutes late now, if they even come. Bike passes are given out only once in a blue moon. Oh, and sometimes theyll just pass you up now!. Yeah, not worth the price hike. It sucks we cant have competition or a better group managing RTA.
RTA is in charge of the escalator that takes guests into the Fieldhouse. On any given day the escalator is NOT running. Not only is this an inconvenience to employees more so for guests coming to the Fieldhouse. Often seems like they just dont want to turn it on. Shameful on RTAs part! People visit here from all over the country!
RTA has some of the most RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE drivers, attitudes and will argue with riders when the drivers were in the wrong. Calling doesnt make any difference because the workers are negligent. Its really annoying when you dont drive and you have to unfortunately rely on a mediocre public transportation system.
They cut bus routes and buses come less often, the downtown buses are always late and sometimes if theyre too late they just dont show up. The price increase is awful I have to pay almost $100 for a monthly, I could pay less than that in gas money. They use to be better wish the buses came more often. Not looking forward to winter because buses are usually late in the winter.
Its not RTA coincidentally, efficiently displaces you anywhere within walkable distances fairly. Costing appropriately and discounts to savvy regular travelers.Worry less, park none, many choices and experienced staffs.Several hubs throughout city and all directions of suburb.Easy enough, probably faster should ya ask.
Very annoyed! On Broadway ave the bus 75 at 6:38am that I was waiting for, STOPPED at a bus stop before me to drop someone off and I kept waving my hands for them to see me and the bus driver LOOKED right at me and kept going! Its too freaking cold for all of this and I went into work late for a bus driver not paying attention or going to fast! I will be calling first thing on Monday about this driver.
With 2 large events going on in downtown they decided to stop serving an entire line of the rapid. With tower city station full of angry people they just say we dont know when a train will be in SERVICE. never trust the RTA they will leave you stranded because doing their jobs is too much of an inconvenience.
Lost my job today due the this bus / rail lineI recommend new bus driver some that will stop and wait for consumers to board the number 14 driver drives past me daily to the point Ive been tarty the last few days which resulted in the Lost of my employment as of today please invite in new drivers till then Ill be taking a Uber to my timely appointments I expected more from RTA truly Ive called the last few days with complaints no improvment some of us rely upon you guys
It provides regional public transit for greater Cleveland area that allows ALL people in the area the possibility of getting around without issues of traffic and parking.During pre and post sport or concert events many enjoy comraderie with other riders they never met before.
When the train is down like it is today (12/6/16), there are no signs, no assistance and no guidance from anyone from GCRTA redirecting customers, but when theyre trying to sell Indians, Cavs or Browns game day train passes, plenty of employees just standing around on social media devices..👎👎..customer service is at the very bottom of the ranks..
Theyre okay Rita is okay but they just need to come down on the fair a little bit you know especially the door to door for us wheelchair people because were on a tight budget you know they need to come down on us a little bit especially the wheelchair people yeah they need to come down on us a little bit cuz its hard for us disabled people you know its hard for us they dont they dont understand that its hard for us disabled people to get around especially in the winter time they dont understand thats hard for us to get around they didnt got to sit down 24/7 they aint got to walk around on crutches they aint got to wear braces and you know and stuff like that you know so let them see what it feels like sitting down in a chair 24/7 and see what it feels like trying to get around in the winter time and all that trying to get from place to place and all shoes and see how it feels like then theyll see what were talking about how to get from place to place and then theyll see why they buy we always saying thats not fair why they that they need to go up on the bus fare and all that they need to go down on the bus fare not up so thats why I gave them the stars that I gave them but otherwise theyre okay and theyre always late on they never on time so I dont know why they need to change the bus schedule because theyre never on time when they say they are theyre not so stop changing the bus schedule time cuz theyre never on time when they say they are.

2022-03-22People think when they get on the bus they are safe they are not the driver does not have the authority to enforce anything if he does get involved he will be reprimanded when he gets back to the district RTA thinks that it can do things putting shiny trinkets on buses or do whatever the fact is safety is the number one concern you dont realize you take your life into your own hands every time you get on a bus

2022-03-12March 11th, roughly 3:30, Wooster and Hilliard, your driver went straight from a turn only lane, very fast, nearly running into my car. When I beeped from fear of an accident, he/she honked back in anger. The driver then turned south on Story Rd. honking the horn lengthy as I drove past. The mistake or disregard for traffic signals is one thing, the attitude is another.

2021-11-08I ride the Strongsville park and ride daily to work. In October of 2021, the bus broke down on the freeway. We had to wait until the next bus came to pick us all up, in the dark morning, on the dark freeway. The incident made me, and Im assuming everyone else, 45 minutes late for work, therefore, losing 45 minutes of wages. After a couple of weeks I finally got a call back from RTA customer service offering me a two ride pass. A two ride pass??!! Thats what, a total of $5.00? I lost 45 minutes of wages! What a slap in the face after all the money I spend on monthly passes year after year.
