To describe this place is almost impossible , but i will try the place is filthy the staff are rude and poorly trained and they love to use foul language towards the clients. good luck getting anyone to call you back. thank god i dont have to use the services of a case manager after what i have read about other peoples experiences have been while interacting with them. when you first walk into the agency on madison road one of the first sights is a police officer standing guard. i know that people do become out of control at the office but i have been called very nasty names by some of the staff there. one has to wonder if the reason they need police protection is because they call clients who have mental disorders names and taunt them. very stupid in todays social climate.and just uncalled for. when you are stuck here it is hard to find the will to want to continue treatment but it is what it is. what i would like is to be treated fairly and find different treatment. but i will not let them off the hook by just leaving the mental health board needs to look into some of the things that go on at this agency. i really feel pity for some of the clients here because their lucidity is greatly compromised by their mental illness and they dont have the ability to understand when they are being mistreated. serious overhaul needed i doubt that it will happen but you never know
This Is the worst place to turn to for mental health care. The case management is beyond unprofessional, the office is not cleaned and just have a crowd of bums Standing out in front. I hate going down there and really try to avoid confrontation. I had two case managers from there and they both were just not helpful at all!! one case manager never followed through with his Scheduled appointments and even his supervisor Was hard to get in contact. Around the 5th time of me calling About a complaint they just randomly assigned me to a new case manager, Although she was nice, her work ethic with me seemed to be rushed. I felt like I was a chore she was trying to get finished with and what I mean by that she didn’t take time with me helping to complete tasks. I’m glad I don’t have therapy through them and receive my medication through somewhere else but Far as with the case management it’s sooo awful I wouldn’t even have given this place one single star. Not to mention the Desk clerk ladies are rude as hell. DO NOT GO HERE TO SEEK ANY HELP OR ASSISTANCE !! THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER PLACE TO SERVICE MENTAL HEALTH!
Seriously would have rated lower if i had the option. I signed up for GCB because Its well known and I thought it would be okay. First off I went through two caseworkers within 2 maybe 3 weeks at most. The new caseworker I have is Allison Sharrock. If you get assigned to her good luck getting her to answer the phone or to help you get somewhere you need to get.... because its not her job to provide that service and she will talk to you like youre incompetent. Most likely will be looking elsewhere for medication and case management.
Its very hard to be perfect, I have had my fair share of problems and issues but overall this is a good place. People fail to realize that there are more people that need help and assistance than themselves. Be patient and use your channels if there is a problem they will do what they can to make sure that the problem is resolved. Your best bet is to stay with your case manager and always stay in contact with them they are your best tool for success. Cynthia Spencer I can say from personal interaction is an A++ Case Manager and is always looking out for my best interest. One last thing you have to put in your part too they can only give what you put into it. If youre not doing your part then kwiturbitchin and do your part. Thank you GCBHS for all that you have done, if you havent yet make sure you check out the wellness center, it is the bomb!!
I called to ask if they can provide a simple note stating the date I was there for open registration, the mental assessment and the appointment times. Apparently they felt offended that I am no longer interested in receiving counseling through them and wanted to include additional information on the note such as my following appointment date which I did not attend and when I am being discharged. Which I honestly dont care about. But that information is MY PERSONAL BUSINESS. All I needed was my last appointment date. It was back in July were in August. IM CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED in continuing services with them. WHICH I HAVE EVERY RIGHT not to. It is MY CHOICE! I spoke with the supervisor Genie in the Amelia office and she preceded to tell me it is out of her jurisdiction to provide the date and times I was there. LIE! She even continued to LIE and state that she could not see that information. EVEN THOUGH HER EMPLOYEE HAD ALREADY TOLD ME SPECIFICALLY. Thatbit was the 17th of July. Clearly she chose to blatantly LIE! Both Genie and her employee Amy showed a lack of professionalism and EXTREMELY poor customer service. Genie began repeatedly asking me what all I needed this documentation for WHICH IS NONE OF HER BUSINESS!! When I did not provide Genie all of the details for which I needed this documentation she then began refusing to assist me. She began stating company policies that clearly arent true because she stated she didnt even know where to find these policies. When I asked where can I find these policies she goes on to state that they were not accessible to patients OR HER. There is not a facility ANYWHERE that are not able to access aparent company policy to reflect back on to back their statements. She just felt offended that my business is my business and it has NOTHING to do with her. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. She decides to hang up on me as I state that providing me this information does not impact her positively nor negatively! Its aparent that she just wanted to be an ass because shes miserable. Maybe she needs to seek counseling. Because something is CLEARLY wrong with someone that becomes irate and condescending and who lies over a VERY SIMPLE DOCTORS NOTE! I was provided one when I left. I just misplaced it. I had to call back and Amy answered When I asked for corporate number and Genies supervisor. Amy became irate, disrespectful and condescending and precedes to hang up on me. THIS COMPANY IS ABSURD! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT INVOLVING YOURSELF WITH THIS PRACTICE! Save yourself the headache. THEY NEED TO BE FIRED AND SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!
There is a place in the basement called the Wellness Center, I can go there and be myself with my Mental Illness knowing their are professionals there to get me threw my worst of day or call and check when I feel like I would be passed out in my apartment and no one would know or care about how powerful my mental Illness when I cant get away from it.I miss the center it was a big part of my life.
Been receiving services from this agency for over 6 years now and so far its been one failure after another. Ive had all I can take now its time to complain to any watchdog agencies that will listen. I suggest you do not go to GCHB for anything serious cause they have no idea what to do. I could write a book about this place and in a way I have and intend to publish it in the new year...
My adult son who is BiPolar with Psychotic features gets case management through this agency. Medicare/Medicaid pays bills. My comment is that money is thrown down the toilet here as the case management is just a joke. Rapid turn of employees does not allow for the true following of a person which needs close monitoring for medical, psychological and emotional well being. There needs to be a solution but things just keep being the same. Overhaul needed!
If I could have rated lower I would have. The disrespect they show the clients at this facility is disgusting. You take this job to help people better their lives, or help them learn to cope with life with their disability, and instead laugh in their face, and treat them as scum. Very poor attitudes.
Pam the payee left my daughter, a client, with 2 bills from cinti bell and time warner cable totalling over 300.00. she did not pay final bills for each when services were cancelled. No one will call me back about this matter; not even the supervisor over the supervisor.. HORRIBLE PAYEE SERVICE!!! this is not over !!!
Warning do not goto this place do no tell them your business they say its confidential but they tell all the qoute on quote confidential things youve told them to your family and amongst co workers they do not help you they make things worse and take your money they use what u tell them to mess with your mind and make you crazy so they can keep you there i suggest you try talk therapy with someone u trust or yourself they dont give a damn about you
Client services especially the person I spoke with just inquiring for a client of mine her name was Taylor.... if this company had any shred of concern about the well being of the people they service theyd fire that girl immediately. If I could rate no stars I would... awful terrible experience
Wasted my time i came in for insomnia and anxiety and wasnt told that it would take 4 months to recieve the mental help i was asking for ...it seems like a place for people with control substance abuse and the phone person was rude when i told her i no longer wanted their services...wanted me to get on line with a councelor i didnt ask for just to tell her i dont wanna come ..im in between jobs and is awaiting help i really dont have time or money to come in for a treatment thats not helping me

2022-07-19I’ve had the pleasure and opportunity with being employed at this company for two years. Throughout my experience, I’ve come to the realization that this company doesn’t intend on prioritizing their employees. Very, very, very scandalous and corrupted. For example, I’ve executed my two-weeks notice and they’ve failed to compensate me (they’ve done this to others in the past). The mileage reimbursement is unreasonably disappointing. This job is a quick mental drain. They’re incapable of improving their retention rate, due to high demands and low rewards. I would not suggest or recommend any one in their right minds to even intern at this establishment. Not even for explorational purposes.

2022-02-07Absolutely terrible. If you ask to talk to a supervisor, they will give you the run around forever. They refuse to help unless you actually recovered from attempted suicide. I was in the hospital for suicidal thoughts and was RECOMMENDED by the hospital to come here. They told me even if I tried to kill myself they wouldnt be able to help. Insane they call their selves a health service. The person running assessments will lie to your face and then deny you as a patient.

2022-06-15They do not return phone calls. My daughter is homeless and battling mental illness and has been for some time. I have been leaving messages with the case manager and supervisor and no one will return any of my calls.

2022-01-21Have been a patient here for around 13 years or more. I have seen a lot of case managers and Doctors come and go that its nearly impossible to know at times who you may be dealing with next. I have been calling, Trying to get an appointment with yet another new doctor only to he told 2vweeks in a row to call back the next week as my Dr. Is booked. When you call and the office answers, They are most often times cutting up laughing and very loud. Not only is this very distracting but general rude and unprofessional practice. Come on GCBH! What happened to you? I always felt that i was in safe hands and had the best of care there. That no longer applys I am now out of my medication for the umpteenth time and and Im truly, deeply saddened by this. I no longer would recommend this facility.

2022-01-07This place is the worst. My uncle who paranoid schizophrenia and off his meds which his case worker Dan has known and did nothing about it. Basically had nothing idea what a hold was for the hospital and brought him back to my mothers house where he could potentially hurt her. This is a lawsuit in the making. Update 1/6/22 2 days later and no one never called my mom or came to evaluate and do an assessment. This is just an awful place it is known throughout the county about this so called mental health help. What a joke.

2022-01-11I’ve been with them for over 3 years if not 4 and this is the SECOND time they’ve cut me off my medication cold turkey, i’ve left messages to my caseworker three times and even a supervisor and never received one single call back. glad that’s how you guys feel about people.

2022-02-05Working here is terrible. My supervisor was unqualified and wasnt even there half the time. They wont even take one of your loved ones dying as a reason for why you didnt meet the productivity goals. They will be completely unsupportive and mean to you if you ask for any sort of help. Horrible toxic environment. find employment elsewhere.

2020-12-03I love their service. Been with them 7 years or more. Their case managers are pretty reasonable and reliable Ive had. Only twice were they bad. In the last few years things been going great at GCBHS. No issues. They have good QOL pharmacy and support and caring doctors and nurses. I get everything I need from GCBHS. They are great!
