Went to a covid pop up site run by dcltesting.com. staff was very nice. Got a your personal data is not safe warning from my phone when I was entering info. Looked from them online found an add from mapquest with testing locations diffrent company name but no web site for this company, sketchy. I bailed and got a test slot at the Walker Center. Nothing negetine just sketchy as heck.
Oh great northern what has happened to you where are all the good stores somebody really needs to look into putting something into the store fronts to get business going the sense that I have to drive all the way to Strongsville lets you know that I would drive to North Olmsted more frequently if there were just more viable shopping places. Other than that the mall is always clean
Only Mall in NE Ohio. Okay shops but if you really want a fun experience. Dont go!Crocker Park or South Park Mall is going to be way better. This Mall is old and has a lot of empty stores that are never going to be redone because the mall wants more money from small - large businesses that are going to do better online anyway.Best option for the mall would be. Have Amazon come in and take over Sears, JC Penneys and another large place. Let them become a fulfillment center and then it will help not knocking them down. Maybe even have a Amazon Now pickup shop. Got to think bigger.
I strongly dislike malls. This one is very nice. They have a store called cutters corner which sells knives. Throwing knives, swords, and pocket knives. 2nd ammendment and of course, if you need a midevil helmet. Also check out Gio for unique items you did not know you needed.
Great mall. Whatever it’s too cold or rainy, I take my kiddos there for a stroll. Just wish they would of kept little explorer opened or reopen another indoor play for the kids to go too like shop n play or something. I have to go all the way to strongville mall for a indoor play area. Just wish great northern will reopen one. But overall it’s a great mall with good food
When I was younger I came out here for a Pokémon release. I mean, I was like 10. So coming back to this mall last week, makes me think of Richmond mall before it became shoe stores and cellphone stands. There are more shops with substance outside of the mall than in it anymore.
I have been to nearly every mall in NorthEast Ohio for my work and from Beachwood Place to Polaris in Columbus I believe this mall to have one of the best wow factors to it. And it has a great play place too for young ones. Tall ceilings and easily navigable 90 degree shopping makes this a great mall to me.
The stores and mall itself is very clean. It is not run down. It has a good variety of stores. There are really good options for clothes for both men and women. My kids loved the giant chess set in the middle. It have them a break and let them have fun. The layout is a bit weird with the way the it breaks off left and right. I think this is probably one of the better malls in the area.
Just about what youd expect from a mall. Its got mostly stocked stores with employees ready to help you and shoppers ready to cut you off...especially in the parking lot. Did a Black Friday trip here just to get out of the house and surprisingly not as hectic as I thought.
Shopping Center has gone downhill in recent years. Several stores closed or vacant stores that at one time were nice to visit and maybe make an impulse purchase. Great Northern isnt all that Great anymore. Maybe Good at best, but not worth making a special trip out here to shop at, sadly. This malls glory days are long gone.
Its alright although it does look deserted/abandoned from the outside (the outside upkeep needs improvement especially the grounds that apparently isnt well-maintained in the most recent times). The mall is definitely a bit smaller as it has some good places inside to go to but again not so much selections to choose from etc,
This is a pretty decent mall with a nice variety of stores including specialty. There’s not many options in the food court if you are vegetarian. They do have an amazing burger place that look delicious that I could not participate in. If you’re looking for throwaway clothes there is a RUE 21 ETC in this mall that is medium plus size friendly
Very decent single floor mall. Great to still have an indoor shopping experience compared to an outdoor shopping strip. Great food court with lots of options and they’re always adding something new in the mall to keep things up to date. Plenty of parking on all sides so there’s always somewhere to park! And there’s fabulous restaurants right outside of the mall that are upscale and delicious. A great value to North Olmsted.
Great Northern Mall has a lot of good retailers even though some have closed here recently. The food court needs to have more options as they did in the past and the mall needs to drop down the rent prices as well. Dropping the rent would have saved Parmatown Mall- but it got torn down because of high rent issues and when no one listens to the public- thats how malls end.
We took my granddaughter to 2 stores TORRID for larger sized clothing we were amazed Archie store sales girls were amazing they helped her find everything she needed .then to the right of Torrid was Finish Line shoes I love this store we found tennis shoes for her they were a little pricey but had so much more sweat pants sweat shirts little toddler and kids shoes slippers and boots the young man who helped us was very helpfull young people but great manners and patient .i will shop there again soon and this was our 2nd trip to Torrid .we will be shopping there a lot .
Nice & Clean Mall. Movies, restsurants, and a variety of stores and a lot of indoor activities for the kids. Trackless train ride around the mall, indoor playground, Little Explorers indoor play area & toy store, bungee bounce, oversize chess game, & Happy Riders which is a padded/motorized plush animal that you can rent and ride around the mall. We always have fun at Great Northern
Im so glad their is a mall left in Cleveland to go to, its a very nice pleasant place to shop, some of the prices to me are a little unreasonable but affordable; depending on where you shop & what youre looking for. A great place for cardio workout if you like walking. 😊❤👍
Love this place. I had a great experience working in this mall at Hair Care Harmony what a great group of people that was I wish I could get ahold of some of them stylist and tell him how awesome they were to me Winnie taught me how to do color Carla whats a rough manager but thats exactly what I needed at the time. I had a great experience at the Great Northern Mall
New pair of eyeglasses at JCPenneys Optical. Had a very good experience 11 years ago and so Ive been going back ever since. Dr. Harry Gray gives a very thorough exam, the best Ive ever had and Ive had quite a few at my age 74. The staff are excellent and professional in performing their duties to help you select frames and fitting your glasses so theyre comfortable and secured. Claude the technician was patient and respectful to every question I had. Explaining in simple detail so that I might understand . They run a very professional shop at JCPenneys Optical. Thats all Im going to say about that.
The Mall itself is excellent! Nice clean foodcourt. Plenty of stores to shop in. Meets a variety of shopping needs and even has an outside strip with more stores to choose from. On the busline & parking by multiple entry areas for your convenience. However..security is poor. Not highly visible, they dont do walk-thrues inside of the stores and only one always seems to be engaged in duty. Outside of that..a wonderful, thriving mall.
Doing the best they can for a dying experience. Our family still enjoys going to the mall, walking around, eating, & shopping. Weve been happy the few times weve come to visit, as its not been very busy, people were socially distancing, & everyone was masked up. We will return again in the near future.
Its a cool mall with a wide variety of storefronts..youve seen one, youve seen them all. I miss the old Parmatown Mall, that was the absolute best back in the day. Im really surprised that Great Northern didnt transform to just shops like Parmatown and Westgate did, as it still has shops inside, not only the stores on the outside.
I went to Green Day Spa and got a wonderful 60 min full body massage and 30 minute reflexology treatment. I walked out if there feeling taller and more open. The wait was not long and the service was impeccable. Parking is easy and plentiful. The establishment is clean and safe. I will be going back in a couple of weeks.
Busy on a Sunday afternoon/evening. Had to wait to enter a few stores. Still have a state mask mandate indoors. All store employees we encountered were properly masked. Some customers were NOT following the mask mandate. Heads up... Most stores had fitting rooms closed.
I wasnt there when it happened, but I know personally two young women (one expecting a baby in a few weeks) who ended up in the emergency room after being attacked by these Canadian geese at Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, Ohio.Let the shopper beware, because management is unable to deal with the problem.
If it werent for the fact that I had to go to Kay Jewelers every 6 months to get my ring checked I would NOT go here. The people are so very rude! Three people fighting for my parking space and cursing at each other is just ridiculous! People inside bump into you and cant even apologize. Rudeness at its finest!
This mall tends to not be as busy as some of the others, which makes it great to go to! Would love to see some of the storefronts occupied, but love some of the additions that have been made. Plenty of parking, but the entrance to the mall should definitely be more visible, especially since the NOW closed sears is the main building I see from the street.
I always leave here happier than when I entered but it has changed in recent years before the pandemic. The standards are lower and the atmosphere isnt the same. They need to do something and bring the love of the mall back because Id rather go to the mall than order from Amazon or ebay. Its the experience I miss.
I ordered a Caesar salad with Caesar dressing and got a chef salad with chicken delivered instead. I did get the Caesar dressing, had I known they’d give me the wrong salad I would’ve ordered a different dressing. The salad is very fresh. They need to be more careful when filling orders on line.
As far as malls go, its alright. TJ hibachi is a great deal if youre looking for food and most of the stores are open still (compared to some other malls). The mall doesnt seem to car so much if people are walking around without masks though, which you see somewhat frequently. Plenty of people being asked to put on masks when they approach stores, but it seems like its fair game when they are walking around which makes it pretty dangerous while getting to the stores.
The mall itself was nice. My comment is about the parking lots and driveways. They may need more security to roam the outside. People were easily driving 35-40mph both on and through the parking areas. Not all but enough to make you double and triple check before you walk around to and from your vehicle.
Wonderful place to go and take the whole family with all the stores and restaurants, you cant go wrong in choosing Great Northern Mall, a place to shop and dine in, something for the whole family to enjoy, lots of shopping and eating to, a time for bonding, very good! Social distancing in most of the stores and restaurants that me and my family visited at the time we were there. Will visit other stores and restaurants on our next family run to many to take on in one day, most definitely will be returning for more shopping and eating.
Now i would go to south park mall IF your looking for more stores this is a smaller mall but theres plenty of space and i love going to box lunch and hot topic and they have plenty of shoe stores and fye has stuff from all the trendy shows, of course theres bath and body works, victoria secret, pink, ect. i highly recomend this mall if your just looking for a nice space to do all your shopping!
This is a good mall with good stores. I went here to look around and was satisfied with my experience. I walked in and went to center of the mall. At the center of the mall, there was a bungee rope thing that you could do. I did it, and it was very fun. I highly recommend it. After I did the bungee jump, I walked around the mall some more and then left. The mall has Macy’s, Dillards, and some other anchor stores that I can’t remember. The mall’s walkways have white tile flooring and white walls, which which look quite nice. The storefronts also look very nice and fancy. I gave this mall five stars because it’s nice, clean, and has a very good bungee jump place.
I have 6 children and they love this mall. They prefer this over beachwood mall which is closer to our home. But I dont mind the 35 minute ride because they always come out with want they want and always say I cant wait to come back because I seen this or Im going to get that. And the food court has good food as well
Outside parking not bad, I feel like Im driving on the kitty track at a Go-Cart course or a Mario Cart level that didnt make the cut. Security drives around looking for better.places to hide in what I believe is an age old game of Hide n Seek that they play under the guise of working.Inside the mall a consumer paradise. Cheap entertainment if youre low on cash and just want to people watch Post-Covid19 explorers where malls have shut down completely.Enjoy a pretzel at Auntie Annes or a delicious coffee from Cinnabon or spend a little extra for an over the top circus side show starbucks coffee and pick yourself up some $5 breath mints or your own Starbucks Mug so you can advertise for them for the low price of 24 buck a mug.Its the last of its kind, focused on working class consumers. The next choice locally is South Park Mall where elderly women have designer hand bags complete with Yorkshire Terriers.
It wasnt overly crowded but I did notice quite a few people without masks on. Still quite a few stores left in there that I like. Hope theyll be able to put more stores in. Why not turn Sears into a local business place with multiple small businesses occupying the space?
I went here to shop at the Disney store. It was a smaller store, but well stocked. The staff were friendly, but hovered around me the entire time I was there, but Ill happily take too much help over not enough assistance! I parked and went through Macys, which didnt put me far from the store at all. As a heads up, they no longer have plastic bags for your purchase. You are given the option to carry your items out or you can purchase a reusable cloth bag from the store.
I was so disappointed to see the Sears store and the Regal theater gone! I stopped at a pizza buffet and was not impressed with the lack of cleanliness in handling the food and felt the price was high for what I got in service and the quality of the food. I enjoyed shopping at JCPenney and Macys, picked up a few items to help them know that I appreciated them being there.
I really enjoyed my shopping trip there! Some stores only allowed a certain number of people in at a time to ensure safety with the Covid still around. Other stores supplied masks when you walked in. And most didnt. It was a pleasurable day shopping. Every store had sales going on! Head on out and see for yourself. You will be happy you did!
I really love this place great northern Mall and JCPenney are my favorite malls but you know that great northern will always be my favorite Mall everyone had their mask employees were nice they werent rude there were no problems at all and they were willing to help. I definitely recommend that you go here, there were no checkout problems that I had in every store I went to in here its like they had a vow for being nice because they were so nice. 👍
It was okay but if we can go to places and touch clothes than I believe we should be allowed to dressing rooms open. There is other places that are allowing dressing rooms to be open. Would make it so much enjoyable not like another way to make more money meaning if you constantly have to being stuff back you tried it on didnt fit we would only have to buy what we wanted that day but bc we come back to bring returns than we end up spending more money
I had a unforgettable day came to the mall shop at one store no parking later in the day cause I never seen my daughter park she left and came back 45 minutes later. But the security guard hope me. They are concerned about all customers I appreciate the care. But I will not come at a real busy time I was off schedule.
Went to beloved Disney store and also ended up getting signed up to get my daughter and my pictures done. Unfortunately Ive had many things come up and keep having to reschedule but theyve been super understanding! I only had to pay $18.00. Going here in a week or 2 to get them done.
One of the few malls still standing. Plenty of stores and amenities. Everything seams clean and well run on the few occasions Ive been there. Im happy to see that it seems like theres plenty of customers unlike some other brick and mortar establishments. I hope we can keep this one open for many years to come. Stop ordering EVERYTHING from Amazon and give this mall a chance or soon well have no stores that we can actually walk into and see a product, rather than just blindly ordering online.
Edwin Manager at T-mobile was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about products, sales, and service. Edwin was extremely patient with my father while he asked queations and conduct his business with t-mobile. Edwin respected my father, listened and answered everyone of my fathers queations.Thank you Edwin for being awesome and extremely patient and polite to my father
This mall is pretty awesome. They have so many places to shop you will need hours to look around. They have a lot of food courts and I just love the food here. They have so many to choose from oh man its hard to choose. But its family friendly and its a good place to go when its raining outside or just need to get out of the house. So go check it out you wont be sorry..
This mall is great! It has a Disney store and a F.Y.E. both of which were taken out of the mall near where I live a long time ago. Two stores I have missed! They have a small free kids play area and another one called Little Explorers that you have to pay to enter. They have a Sears which also closed in the mall near me. Overall a clean, well kept mall.
Its basically like every other mall. It has all the same stores, but with a less than appealing food court. I do really like their Dillards though. They have a really great selection of professional clothing for women. The mall itself is always clean, actually fairly quiet, and the staff at all the stores are always very nice.
This rating is for the online map, wheelchair/scooters, and seating areas. For a person that may need to sit briefly for a rest, you have removed the majority of the benches. For that same person to plan their visit so that he/she is parked close to the store, your online map is incorrect. To avoid both of those issues, the lady at the easily accessible and in plenty kids riding toys and strollers has no earthly idea where the office is for an assistive mobility device.
I havent been to a mall in a while, and anyone who says they are dying out should visit Great Northern. It was busy, with people all over the place. I had to pick up something at Forever 21, which was busy, big, glittery, shiny, well-stocked. I didnt have time to spend there because I was on my way to work but I like the store and would go back, and the mall seems to be doing just fine.
I only had to go into The Children Place to do a little shopping and return a few items that I bought online. The salesperson ( I hope Im spelling her name correctly) Cierra was so helpful and friendly. People like her with all thats going on in the world (covid crisis) still make shopping easy and wonderful... Thank you, keep up the great work 💗
This mall is very chill and nice, this mall is better than Richmond mall. Great Northern Mall has its regular stores like Dick’s, Forver21, H&M, etc. Their food court is just another food court meaning as they have all the chinese foods, burger, etc. I do like coming to this mall because when I come it’s never overly crowded and that’s probably i go at certain times to beat the crowd. It’s also a nail shop located by the food court and that is almost always crowded.
Oh wow what can I say about the Great northern mall that hasnt been said a million times lets see...so many stores to go into spend the whole day walking around at the food court you got so many options and variety of places to eat. Stores here range from clothing to electronics, sports and more parking is easy to do and get right where you need to go. Always the right call to do all your shopping here at the mall
Just saw Good Boys. Very nice regal theater. One of the nicer ones in the Cleveland area. Comfortable seating, prices are what you would expect at a movie theater. The best part about it was we basically had the whole movie theater to ourselves. Right off the highway so its very convenient to get to also.
Terrible I was on a kid ride and they said I was to big and I took offense as in I was to fat I said to them I’m gonna call HR and they proceeded to Kick me out and I asked the officer where the exit was I was very polite I cooperated and kept asking where the exit was the officer Wouldn’t give me answers and kept being very rude and a smart Alec and I finally found my way out he kept following me I felt scared he wouldn’t leave me alone I asked him he said He was making sure I left I was at least 200 ft away from the mall I was gone terrible experience.
I got my screen repaired there and now my finger print scanner does not work, was told they would look into it and get back to me. Never heard from them again. Yes my screen is repaired but the phone is still worthless as I need the scanner to access my bank account.

2022-03-13We are at Charleys in the food court here. It is always a good experience. Ive shopped at this mall many times, and Ive even lost my phone here. Someone on the cleaning staff turned my phone in!! I was very relieved. For the last several years this mall has been kept exceptionally clean. Thats no easy task with large crowds. It is a brighter and happier place than most malls. The displays are usually well done, and theres a wide variety of food, clothes, accessories, odds and ends to find. I highly reccomend this place.

2021-11-24This mall is not going downhill as some reviews say. sure its not flourishing. sure it might eventually head down the inevitable route of urban blight who knows but from what i have just witnessed its doing just fine. if they want to see malls that are dead, head down to marion and check out the mall in fond du lac wisconsin. those malls are dead. this mall is still standing and looks to be doing just fine.

2022-04-29Im really glad that this mall is still operating. Its so sad to see malls being shut down or not having enough stores in them to operate. I can always find what I need at this mall. There are definitely some empty storefronts, but theres enough options to find what youre looking for. I wish more people would still go so they could fill these store friends because malls are freaking awesome. Especially for someone like me who hates online shopping.

2022-03-30Love this mall. This is one of my go to spots. So much to do plus a movie theater. What a great way to spend the day. Everything is close by so if you want to grab food outside the mall its convenient.

2022-03-20Was good to get out and shop. Some of the stores where closed. Prices seemed high. But had good time walking around. Aeropostale store had a great sell. Buy one get 2 free on shirts. And a 20% phone rebate.

2022-04-19We went to the mall this time to see the Easter bunny. Went mid evening. Wasnt to crowded at the mall. We had an appointment online ahead of time so got right in, there wasnt much of a wait got our pictures and we were done. I only gave 4 stars because sometimes parking can be such a pain but overall great experience this time.

2022-06-17This mall is clean and nice, but like most malls today, many of the storefronts are empty. Which is okay if you live within a 15/20 minute drive. Otherwise, it isn’t worth the trip. It’s eerily quiet and dated.

2022-03-06Great Northern Mall, a mall that has existed for a while now. The newer establishments instated in the mall has really made me start going more regularly! More unique stores that I would have to travel a long ways to see are now in the mall! Ive been going here since as a kid and never have gotten bored of this mall.

2022-05-24Well the mall has been making g some improvements and has come a long way. Good place to come kill a few hours and grab a bite, do some shopping.
