I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of finding a digital piano for my home. Michael S. was a lot of fun to work with and very knowledgeable and helpful. It was great fun to hear him play! I appreciate the information I received and I absolutely love my Roland Digital Piano. Graves Piano and Organ has a wonderful selection of beautiful pianos. Thank you for everything!
Although I have never purchased a piano from Graves, I have had the pleasure of working with the staff for several years. My piano studio uses the recital hall annually for our spring recital and I have never had a bad experience! The staff is always courteous and helpful, particularly when assisting students interested in finding new music.
Graves is the only place in town I would send my students to purchase a piano! They have the most professional and friendly staff with the best selection in town. Paul Graves Sr. is the most knowledgeable and honest business man I have ever met. I purchased my own piano from Graves. As a teacher, I have witnessed how much Graves donates to the music community by allowing teachers to meet and hold recitals free of charge. The sheet music department, run by Pat White, is fully stocked to accommodate the needs of teachers and students. She is always willing to order anything you need and is a cheerful addition to the store.
I decided to update my piano by about 70 years. My experience at Graves Piano was excellent. Salesman Jay Grayson was quite informative, and not at all pushy. With advice from a pianist friend, I settled on a new Essex baby grand. The purchase and delivery went smoothly, all promises kept. I am a satisfied customer. I also appreciate Graves making there recital Hall available to the community.Gordon, Dublin OH
I had done my research when I went to buy a piano. But, the folks at Graves had done even more! They were very helpful, competitively priced, and let me look to my hearts content. They delivered my piano already built and ready to play. Although I didnt need it, I would have felt comfortable contacting them with any questions about the instrument. I can totally recommend them.
Every interaction Ive had with Graves has been positive, including the purchase of my own piano. Most recently I was there representing the grandmother of one of my students who wanted to buy a piano. I was given a particular price range (not especially high) for the total cost, including delivery. Mike gave me the same attention that I believe he would have given someone purchasing a Steinway concert grand, and he worked with both me and the family to get the job done in a professional, courteous way. The family, especially my student, was happy beyond words! Graves is a gift to the Columbus arts community in more ways than I have room to write here.
EXCELLENT service. Honest and knowledgeable. Greg was our salesman and he was top notch. We bought a gorgeous piano and have great admiration and faith in both Steinway and Graves piano. Graves has been around for over 50 years I remember going there as a child. Their reputation and integrity are spot on with years of experience and involvement in the community. Thanks Graves and Greg. Everyone needs a piano to bring culture and learning to their home. Music makes you smarter and happier. And everyone should buy from Graves.
My husband and I stopped at Graves on a whim because I had been thinking about buying a piano for my daughters and myself. I have not played in over 30 years but one of my fondest childhood memories was taking lessons and playing my mothers Baldwin. We just happened to find a nice used Baldwin Upright piano and were able to get an excellent price, fast delivery as well as Graves warranty on it even though it is used. Definitely a better option than buying a used piano from an individual as I was concerned about what I may be getting into.
I recently purchased a pre-owned piano from Graves. The experience could not have been any better. Jay patiently walked us around, showing us options, education us on sound quality, and providing answers to our (many) questions.. We didnt have an astronomical budget, as we were purchasing and instrument to be used by my 6 year old novice player, but Jay still treated us like we were there to buy a $100k Steinway. It is probably one of the best sales experiences Ive ever had. Not to mention, the inventory and selection was great. If youre in the market for a new or pre-owned quality piano, look no further than Graves.
I love to play piano, even though Im not into concert piano playing. They have several showrooms for different brands of pianos and though you arent allowed to play the more expensive pianos, you are allowed to play on any of their upright pianos or keyboard styles in the back. They also have a warehouse room filled with used pianos of all kinds. The service there is excellent, several members of the staff took time to get to know me and ask about my preferences for piano music. They also have a recital room and offer lessons.
Ive been looking at grand pianos for a couple decades and would visit Graves every couple of years. I finally decided that I was going to buy a used grand and my wife and I drove to the Graves location. The selection was huge and the Graves representative named Greg asked if he could show some entry level new Grands. We walked out after purchasing a new Essex Grand which is the entry to Steinway and Sons. We love the looks, the tone, the keyboard action and everything about it. Graves service is excellent and they went above and beyond in every way. I would always recommend Graves and the Essex Grand.
When I visit Graves Piano & Organ, I know they will have an amazing amount and variety of music for me to peruse for my piano students. Also, if I have a family interested in piano shopping, I tell them to go to Graves to get a nice variety and most of all, good, intelligent information in their decision making. Theyve been in business too long not to know all about the history, construction, and quality of each piano.
We purchased a new Steinway Model B Grand Piano from Graves. After looking at Steinways in several locations, we found our best match at Graves. The delivery was efficient and easy. Their follow up tuning and service have been excellent. We highly recommend Graves Piano & Organ Co.
Recently I needed my piano tuned. Paul Graves Jr. did a great job. Sounds perfect and I enjoy playing my piano even more now. Paul was very friendly, professional, hard working, and was very prompt. He explained what he was doing and why. I would highly recommend him.
Awesome experience. I was worried buying a piano for the first time, it s a very large investment. They had tons of pianos in all sorts of price ranges but the expert I worked helped me focus and find the perfect instrument. I also got a 5-year warranty and I can trade it back on an upgrade for life and get full price back. I really couldnt have asked for a better experience. Fast delivery and it sounded perfectly in tune.
I had a great experience purchasing a Steinway grand in 2001. A year later I came back to purchase a Baldwin Hamilton for my private studio. I love Graves so much that I came back a year or two later to get a Roland digital. Many years later I visited Graves and tried out another Roland digital piano with digiscore. I played on it for a long time and loved it so much that Paul gave me a deal so I came home with a Roland with digiscore and a Roland portable. I am very happy with all my pianos; still using all for practicing, teaching, and performance. Graves is a great company with great staff. Ive always referred my students and friends to Graves when they are looking for pianos.
Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. A 20 minute conversation with an employee taught me more about pianos and what to look for when shopping for them than I had learned in the last 40 years. Inventory of new and used pianos is simply amazing. Quite a bit of sheet music available too.
Selection is the best in Ohio. Response time and quality of support first rate. Passion for the piano business is admirable. We live near Toledo and our Boston piano is used weekly by three generations of musicians. The player unit is fantastic. Like having live music in your home.
We bought a nice piano for our daughter and was able to get a reasonable price for it. Pretty satisfied so far. My only complaint is that the salesman seemed to push us towards a certain piano by playing nicely on the one he wanted us to get, then playing poorly on other ones to show them as inferior choices. Even to the untrained ear, you could tell it was just the way he played. I would have much preferred he just play the same way on every model so we can actually make a fair comparison. I just found it really odd. In the end we actually ended up buying a more expensive model because we cared a lot about the sound. I would just suggest doing your research on fair pricing beforehand and playing on every piano yourself.
Truly outstanding experience. Simply walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and were immediately treated with over an hour of focused attention and guidance by Paul Sr. We also very much appreciated the personalized care exhibited by Paul Jr. in setting up the piano on delivery. Very highly recommended!
My 14 year old was looking for a Boston/Essex or a used Steinway. We went from Cincinnati to shop here. We had Paul Graves Sr show us the pianos patiently and he gave us his honest input/recommendation on the different pieces he showed us. My son loves his Steinway that we bought from Graves.
Graves Piano has a pillar of the piano community in central Ohio for as long as I have been alive. I bought a Kawai K500 from them in December 2018, and I have extremely impressed with their honesty and expertise. Jay Grayson was knowledgeable and patient during the sale, and Evan Bingham came out at no cost to fix a slight buzz that the piano developed. Anyone who is in the market should run, not walk, to Graves Piano.
Their very experienced staff and the owner helped me find the right piano for me and my family. It was a no pressure situation and I am delighted with our new piano. They were very attentive to all the details from start to finish to make sure I was completely satisfied.
I went to one of my friends recitals on January 5, 2020. She confirmed with the people who run the business that she had the room till 3:00pm. a very rude unprofessional disrespectful teacher of music decided to come in and interrupt her recital. I would never go here again because of that teacher. She lacks the respect for music and other musicians. I honestly hope that her career will get her somewhere but her unprofessional disrespectful rude behavior makes me never want to visit that establishment again. I honestly hope this helps people and my friend is now looking for other places because of the disrespect that was given to her.
I was so impressed by the knowledgeable service given to me. I truly felt that everyone took their time to give me the best possible recommendations and help. They were honest and caring and took time to listen to what I was looking for. I absolutely LOVE my new baby grand!
I visited Graves to purchase my first piano. Their sales team helped me understand the components of pianos, what drives their value, and what type of piano would be suitable for my needs. It took two short visits to finally select the piano. The purchase process was easy and delivery was professional and on-time. I also appreciate the trade-in policy which I may use in a few years.
I had a great experience buying an organ from Graves and would recommend their store and services to anybody. After delivery, there was one feature on the organ not working properly (the pedalboard)--it turned out to be a small, easily fixed problem, but they stayed on it with me until everything was playing exactly right: great service!!

2018-02-13I got a beautiful one-of-a-kind piano from Graves. Everything in the process was very smooth and professional from contract to delivery to set up. The professional piano technicians that came to my house spent about 3 hours getting my piano in perfect working condition. I was blown away by how fantastic the entire service was from start to finish. Graves is definitely the best piano dealership that I have ever been to. I especially loved the no pressure sales and kind-hearted people that Graves employs. I noted a price difference online versus in-store, and they were kind enough to honor the lower price. So glad to have found this wonderful store.

2019-02-04I highly recommend! The people at Graves Piano are class acts. I was hesitant about purchasing without seeing or playing the piano. Mr. Graves was so personable and kind and helped me select a piano for my space. The other staff members were wonderful to deal with also. The piano took longer to arrive than expected but it was because I purchased during the winter months and the movers didnt want to risk moving when snow was threatened. They delivered my piano at 9 p.m. and it is perfect--not a scratch on it. Thank you!

2018-03-31My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Graves Piano. There was no pressure to buy, just very good advice about getting the piano we could most afford and enjoy. We are thrilled with the piano we purchased, a new Essex Steinway Grand. Graves did a great job delivering and has promptly helped us with minor tweaks in the piano due to moving it. Mike Spain has been a wonderful sales representative to work with the whole time, and Evan is the master technician!

2018-02-21We enjoyed our shopping experience at Graves Piano very much. As first time Piano purchasers we initially felt overwhelmed by the options, however Jay, our salesperson, was happy to educate, gave us plenty of time to look around and consider our options, and helped us find the perfect piano for our home. It was a very low pressure sales environment and we could not be more pleased with the experience.

2015-12-23If you want to get a piano, GRAVES is the place to go! The customer service is phenomenal, the pricing is the best youll find. What I like best about them, also, is that they let you take your time and play the pianos to get an idea of what you like. Periodically they will come and see if you have questions, or tell you about a particular piano. There is no hard sell to these people at all. They let you luxuriate in choosing your piano, they dont hover, and they want to make sure the whole process as well as the PRICE is as reasonable as ever.In the Ohio State University Dance Department, we have purchased TWO pianos from them. Both at very good prices, and that play beautifully. They have a wide variety of acoustic pianos as well as electronic ones. I helped my church buy an electronic one from there. Again, Great price, high quality. The Graves people, spent so much time with me and were so patient that it just added to the experience. Great prices, AWESOME customer service, and beautiful pianos. If you want a piano and to have people who really care about you getting what you want, Graves is the place to go!

2018-06-15Graves has a wide variety of traditional as well as digital pianos on display. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and patient enough to answer all your questions. I was there with my family to buy an upright piano for my elder son. They allowed him to try playing different pianos, and helped us compare different makes and models. Mike helped us find the perfect piano for my son, and we are very happy with our purchase.
