Called to have grandfather clock chains put back in place .. made a date for him to come out he called but wanted to do video chat instead to see if it was worth fixing?! ( witch why would that matter if I wanted it fixed anyway) so told me to call when I got home ... so I called and then he was to busy to take the call we discussed and the guy hung up on me !!!
Being a clockoholic, I appreciate the expert workmanship and attention to detail we receive here. Jon is exceptional on detail, and Bernie is a genius/artist in repair. A great and personable combination. Great value and peace of mind your cherished antique clock is in good hands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Overpriced - Had a clock in for service was told it needed to be overhauled. Said price would be $675. I called Howard-Miller, they told me I could buy a brand new movement for $279, less than half the price to overhaul my movement. H-W still makes this clock ($900 on Amazon) so for $200 more I could replace the clock.I had Dan at This Olde Clock Repair in Powell overhaul a movement (clock) 2 years ago and it costed $175. Unfortunately Dan has closed his shop.

2021-03-30I bought a vintage cuckoo clock at Grandfather Clock Company and couldnt be happier with it. They had gone through it and made it look and sound just like new. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and their store is a delight to see and browse. I highly recommend this shop.

2021-02-25A very good little shop. The owner is very friendly and was always happy to see us when we came in. He was even nice enough to give us a free timepiece! And, when it had a problem, he was happy to repair it and was very professional. In addition, he has a great selection of clocks, from brand new, to antique.

2021-12-03Had to repair our clock. They told us the time frame. In our case three months. Called us Nov 1st. It was ready. Did what they promised in the time they required. Would recommend.

2021-03-04I called The Grandfather Clock Company, with an issue after moving my clock.John answer and after setting up an appointment, he suggested that maybe this was something he could fix over the phone. He was right! That’s what I call customer service! As a business owner I appreciate when people are honest and just take care of there customers! Couldn’t say enough good things!

2020-07-10Do not take your clocks to get repaired here. They are not trustworthy. They lied about what repairs were needed and ripped me off. See details below. Also, LOOK AT THE REVIEWS ON YELP. They have a 1 star ranking on Yelp. For a more accurate reflection of their rating on Google pay attention to their recent reviews marked by Google as a year ago or less because many of the older higher reviews were given prior to the current ownership. The current owner has not been in place very long - roughly 18-22 months so the older reviews which were higher do not apply. When you only consider the current owners reviews for REPAIR (not sales) his ranking is 3.1 so if you are looking for a place to repair your clock go elsewhere to get an honest job done. Do a Google search to find other clock repair shops.Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way. The Grandfather Clock Company ripped me off. The spring in my clock broke while I was winding it. The Grandfather Clock Company said several additional parts broke as a result of the spring breaking. They collected a deposit of $168 for a repair which would cost $675.As I drove home after dropping it off my gut was telling me I was being lied to. Not just about the repair but other things the owner told me. He said he was the only clock repair in town - he isnt. He said my clock was worth about $800 and when I hesitated about fixing it he said my clock was worth $1500. There were other things he stated which did not feel truthful. As I begin questioning him the story would change. It did not feel right. As soon as I got home I called back and told them not to do any work on my clock because I was having second thoughts on fixing it.I returned the next day and picked up my clock because I sensed I was being lied to about the repairs - which I was. They kept (stole) my $168 deposit even though NO WORK was done on the clock.A few weeks later I took my clock to Master Clock Repair. The repairs were successfully done at Master Clock Repair for $175 and ONLY the spring was replaced - NOTHING ELSE WAS DAMAGED OR BROKEN. This was clear proof the Grandfather Clock Company had lied to me about the repairs needed. I waited several months to post this review to be certain the clock was correctly fixed by Master Clock Repair and that there were no other issues. The clock continues to work great 6 months later.I went back to the Grandfather Clock Company last month to see if they would somehow redeem themselves or come clean. Nope. I did not yell or cuss at him. I spoke diplomatically. The owner just continued his lying. He said he would not return the deposit because he had done work on the clock and had ordered parts for my clock which he could not return. These were both lies. I had called him a few minutes after dropping it off telling him not to do any work on it since I was having doubts about fixing it so he had not done any work on it or ordered any parts. Since it was June, and my clock had been there in December, he clearly forgot about this.Stay away from Grandfather Clock Company.

2018-12-06Im so happy I found these guys. I have a grandfather clock that is very dear to me (family heirloom) after bringing it home from NJ to Ohio I was worried something might have broken. Ian came out and took great care of my pride and joy! He also taught me a lot about the clock as well. Its running beautifully. I will for sure be trusting only them with my dear clock. Thank you so very much!
