What an awesome place! Service with a smile by Jake whom gave us his opinion of the best of the menu. Hit the nail on the head with everything! Next time on my way thru i will be bringing my hubby with me!
Absolutely delicious! Crispy cracker like crust ample toppings crispy delicious pepperoni and the staff was very welcoming and friendly and attentive! Lots of room and TVs.
Taco pizza was really good but the fried pickle appetizer was just okay. The breading lacked seasoning. Id go back for the pizza though!
Called in was told 1 hr. Called back in was told it was going in the oven. After 1hr. Called again sorry out of the area. Wow. Would have been nice to know that the first. Was told it was suppose to be a realgood. pizza

Met some friends for food and drinks at Grandads Pizza yesterday. Got there shortly after they opened for the day and little to no crowd. Asked to have the baseball game turned on the TV so I could watch it in the background between hanging with friends. All good until the Tottenham Futbol Club showed up and the TVs were turned to their games. I asked to have one of the TVs turned back to the game I had been watching and was informed that NO, when this group show up, they basically control the TV. I was not asking for sound on my game NOR did I ask for a TV directly in front of me to be on , any TV in the place would have sufficed. Basically, eff off and eff you, because soccer rules. Do not recall seeing anything online or in the restaurant stating that the soccer club ruled the TVsLuckily, there are many other places in Hilliard to eat, drink, hang with friends, spend my money and watch BASEBALL!!
A fun place we were excited to try out!! We found it by accident but we will definitely go back on purpose. If we lived closer this would be our new go-to place!!!
My first and last time here. The waitress was alone working the tables and the bar so the wait was extended. It took almost seven minutes before we even received our drink and our food took so long that she discounted one of our items. Food was just okay.
Honestly I cant say enough great remarks about this establishment. My wife and I moved to the area a little over three years ago and to my recollection the first time we had Grandads was on the day we moved into our first house. Since that time, we have become regulars, both through delivery and at the restaurant/pub. Its our go-to when were in a pinch. Its excellent when we have friends over. We love making our way to the pub (next to Home Depot) when were taking a break from a home project. Never once have we found ourselves disappointed. The quality of the food and the service weve received has continually been second to none. We now have a little one who enjoys the food as much as we do. Thank you for being a constant through consider worldly tribulations and for always providing an excellent, reliable option!
Worst fried pickles Ive ever had and the pizza was worse... I wish I cooked my frozen pizza from the freezer instead... Delivery driver was was nice though...
Placed a take-out order and was told 40-45 minutes. We arrived around the 45 minute mark and pizza was not yet ready. Waited another 30 minutes for the pizza. Either they lost the order or gave it to someone else. It was very busy when we arrived for the takeout pizza and the lady that was working the takeout was working very very hard. Lets hope they can hire more people so a pizza does not take over an hour to get.

The service was poor. Took 10-15 minutes to get bar drinks. The food wasn’t anything to write home about. Actually looks like frozen pizza. Dominos is much more appetizing. The worst part was, 15 kids running around at 9 pm on a Saturday, climbing all over the shuffle board table. Obviously this isn’t a reflection of the restaurant, more on poor parenting. Take your kids to Chuck E Cheese! Or at least be responsible.

Great pizza, good atmosphere with lots of TV’s, but it is really loud. Absolutely horrendous service at the bar and wait staff. I would recommend carry-out, but they often “lose orders” so you’re stuck waiting there for them to cook your pizza. The Grandview location is great though!

Italian sub with sausage was amazing. Their pizza is hands down the best Ive had in Columbus as well.
Ordered one 2 topping pizza. They couldnt figure it out. Placed the order again. Was told after 20 mins that they couldnt figure it out. Had to get a refund and leave.

The pizza is great enough to put up with the extremely slow mediocre service. The last three times that I have arrived at the time that my order was to be ready there was still a thirty to forty five minute wait. Yes, all three times.

Order from this place several times. Every single time the pick up time has been delayed. Seriously considered never going here again just because of that. Who wants to wait an extra 30 minutes standing there. Ordered food on the website said it would be ready at 7:25, it is now 8:05 and no food.Not acceptable. Learn how to run your takeout service.
Waited an extra 20 min for a warm pizza. Was there early to pick up my order, called in to let them know I was there, knowing order was probably not ready. Was supposed to be ready at 8:18, time went by, around 8:35 girl comes out as though she had forgotten I was there. Brings out my order with the pizzas at a 45 degree angle. When I got home pizza was all on one side and barely warm.
Excellent pizza ! I just finished their Tuesday special. A $5 half pound bacon cheeseburger! Amazing price and one of the best burgers Ive ever had. I would of paid $15 for this burger. Holy smokes!
One of my favorite pizzas. The sausage is delicious, thin crispy crust, fresh toppings. The Works is a staple, the wings are great with tasty and thoughtful sauce options. If you are a pizza geek, this place wont disappoint.

30 minute wait turned into 1 hour! nachos didnt have black beans on them! canned mushrooms on pizza!!!!!pizza was cold!I mean really how do you mess up nachos? how embarrassing tbhthe food was totally inedible and its such a waste. Im going to be sad about this experience for a while.
First time, met my nephew who goes there a lot, his son works there. Got pizza, it was awesome. Did half cheeseburger and half Gourmet. Tried a small tater tot pizza, tasted like potatoes skins,, but in pizza form, came with side of sour cream. Even tried the Scotch egg. Different, but good. Service was excellent. Good selection of beer too.
The bar looks great, the staff was super nice, pick up was super quick and the pizza was great. The best part of the pizza is the edge to edge pepperoni. Great quality and looking forward to our next meal with them.
Came from out of town. Was going to eat here and 3 staff members were rude about parking. Never even made it in the restaurant. Not going to pay people to be rude to me. I will not be giving this place another chance.
My familys default choice for pizza! My wife and kids all have different preferences in terms of what they look for in pizza, and Grandads has options for each. My daughter is not a fan of pizza at all, but gets excited when we choose to go here over other options.They offer delivery, pickup and dine-in. My family does prefer delivery and pickup, but have done the dine experience as well. There is a calm, pub vibe that is kid friendly. They are almost always busy, so prepare for that if you decide to dine-in.I know it sounds strange, but you absolutely most try the tater tot pizza at least once. I rarely enjoy tater tots, but something about their combo of tots, bacon and cheese really nails it for me. And, I would argue it is even better when you eat the leftovers the next day.Several gluten-free and dairy-free options as well (both food and drinks). We have friends that have both needs, and they rave that Grandads as great options.

Considering it was a LOT of us there celebrating the team at the state high school track races. the service was awesome. Our table (there were 3 maybe 4) they didnt miss a beat all orders were correct the customer service was above 5 star .. even when the baby spilled her milk they cleaned up fast and even replaced her drink while still smiling .. 2 hour drive but would definitely go back when in the area
Tried this little pub on a whim when we were in the Hilliard area. We had the caesar wrap, little pizza, and the pork wings. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Great service and good prices. Seriously, get the pork wings if they have them in stock!!

Kathy, our server was attentive, friendly and patient! Large selection available to choose from. House salad was the best our party has enjoyed in months of dining out! Pizza sampler is an excellent and reasonable way to check out their pizza selections! If you enjoy homemade thin and crispy crust, Grandads Pizza is your pizza place! First off the pizza is awesome. The problem is the wait. Twice weve ordered for take out. Both times the web site said it would be an hour before our pizza was ready. First time I went there at the time to get it, the line was long to the pick up window and it took 15 minutes to get to the counter only to find out my pizza wasnt ready. 30 minutes later, it was ready. That was almost an hour later than what I was told. The second time same thing happened. And there were about 5 other people waiting with the same experience. We were told they had only 3 people making pizzas. Until they can rectify this, I would suggest dining in or skip it altogether. Its a shame because the pizza is delicious.
Pre ordered for Christmas eve at 1130 am. For a 515 pickup .....needless to say we are sitting and still waiting at 540 and still not ready. Dont take orders if you cant get them done

My daughter went for a team bonding experience for Wildcats Cheer. She said she had a good time. We order a couple pizzas to take home when we picked her up and they were pretty good as well.
If I could give negative stars I would. I placed an order online for delivery at 4:47 pm for wings and mozzarella sticks. Order receipt advised theyd deliver by 5:47. Fair enough, I live about 8 minutes away. At 6 I give them a call and they said they order was on the way after placing me on a decent hold. I assumed at that point they were busy whatever. My food did not arrive until 6:47 a while 2 hours later and when I opened the food is was awful, no cheese in half the sticks and the wings were cold and just gross to be honest.
My nephews recommended this pizzaria and I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed, one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! The crust is light and thin and the taste is outstanding. The whole atmosphere of the building is down home,feeling like your own house. Love the deco....Go BUCKS!

Went to the pickup window to get our order. All the kitchen staff walking around without masks. The main guy pushing out the orders was wearing food safety gloves, but touching his face and the food. Feel like calling the health department. I spoke to the manager,. He indicated he scolded them. This shouldnt happen with our enhanced health safety codes. We wont be back. Which is a shame because the food is excellent ✌️
We found this place when the pandemic started and only had the option of ordering delivery, but we started ordering weekly and have tried everything and it has all been delicious. Today my wife and I finally got to dine in, and Ill tell you what its everything I hoped for! The atmosphere is great, the staff was attentive and hospitable. We will definitely be coming back.

Just went to Grandads pizza for Fathers day lunch with my husband and daughter. As always, we received great service and the food was fantastic! The staff is always happy, personable, and accommodating! Great spot and I absolutely recommend it to anyone, but especially recommend it if you want great food, service, and to support your local businesses!
I called at 11:15 to place a delivery order (I’m 5 minutes away) They told me 45 minutes delivery. I ordered 2 small pizzas, tater tots and chips and buffalo. My food still wasn’t arrived at 12:15 so I call and the guy yelled “Did you not put the order in” and placed me on a brief hold. The guy said 5 minutes and it’ll be delivered. Another 20 minutes go by and I still don’t have my food. I call back stating my lunch was just about over so now I can’t eat lunch. The guy said the driver left 20 minutes ago with my food and somebody else’s. He delivered my food at 12:30. My box holding the chips was melting and the styrofoam was melted on the top of the chips. They gave me iced cold fries instead of tater tots. Very unimpressed. What a great first impression.

The pizza is very good. The crust is thin and crispy without being too thin. The sauce has a good taste and that really makes a pizza. The toppings are generous & of good quality. The plain cheese pizza is really great. They use a mix of cheese that has some provolone and that gives the plain cheese pizza a rich taste. The Italian salad was good, and its a good size too. We had an appetizer of fried pickles, and they were okay, but the dipping sauce was very tasty. Overall a good place. Its busy for a reason.
Delivery has been much quicker than stated time during pandemic. Tater tot pizza travels well. Good beer choices and variation. Salads are fresh.
Tater tot pie is the favorite but the gourmet was too. Lots of toppings. Delivery was very good. Persno on the phone was very nice. Definitely worth the price and well be back. Thank you.

Pizza is always great! Good thin crust representation reminds me of old donatos back in the early 90s. Wings are good, nachos and loaded tots are great! The stromboli was awful. Sauce does not belong inside stromboli just toppings. Also the full layer of raw dough in the middle was very gross. Only reason it happens is from making it wrong. Need to change that and can’t believe people enjoy a thick layer of raw dough in the middle. So raw I thought it was a layer of cheese until further examination. Also save your company some $ and give 1/2 the amount of garlic butter. Those giant cups are a waste.
This is a fun relaxed environment. We went on a Sunday after church with a larger group. They were able to seat immediately. It can get a load if there are school aged kids play on the arcade games. But it fit the atmosphere. We ordered 3 Large pizzas and all came piping hot! Be careful before biting into it. The crust is thin and crispy. Lots of toppings. I would go back again.

I’ve always loved the Grandview location and have had ok experiences with this one so we wanted to try this one again to make sure. Let me tell you this was not the answer. We got a chicken bacon ranch that had barely any sauce and was so overcooked and dry it was inedible. We also got a pepperoni banana pepper mushroom and black olive with the same issue and no cheese. Not sure what happened but it was enough to make sure we stick with Grandview.
Great place to meet friends and family for game day. Kid friendly atmosphere. Can be a little loud especially when they have live entertainment...check schedule. Food is delicious.. tater tots and pizza is a fave. If youre not sure get the three pizza sampler. Craft beer selection is great with rotating breweries. Prices reasonable. Staff is great, pleasant and attentive! Please visit Grandads you wont be sorry!
First time here. Food was amazing. It is a loud environment but if you like sports its the place to go.
This is my first time eating here and I must say it’s one of the best tasting pizza I’ve ever eaten. The quality shines through from the homemade crust and sauce. The sausage also is very flavorful with very little grease. You can tell that the family owners of this place takes great pride in what they makeI am now a new regular to this place.
The pizza is great. Last time I went in it was very crowded. All the curbside as well as plain customer parking was full., hence I went in to pick up my curbside. I would not do dine-in, but thats up to the individual.
The pizza is awesome. Love the crust, it is the most perfect crust in my opinion. Also, love their other food as well. Have not had a bad experience with dine in or delivery. Always feel like our servers are keeping up when we dine in and the delivery drivers are always nice. They also have too trivia and other events going on. I highly recommend Grandads!
Decent pizza. I ordered a Philly cheese steak that I wouldnt order again. They toast their sub buns and it was drier than Steak Escape Philly Cheese steaks. It is a nice place to bring kids as it has some booths and a kids menu. You can order a small pizza for the kids.
Their thin-crust pepperoni pizza is great and their service is really helpful. I also had a caesar salad once that was good, too.I am going to review as many of the Columbus pizza spots I can, so if youre looking for an honest opinion on who actually makes the best pie, Ill probably know in a few months.
Good food. Lived by the 3rd Avenue location for 13 years. Ate it once a week. Moved to Hilliard. Happy they opened one in Hilliard. The low rating is due to how poorly run the takeout is handled in Hilliard. Takeout at the Hilliard location is a train wreck. Dumpster fire. Pile of failure stacked on top of a heap of incompetence. It will make your heart hurt to watch the confusion that occurs with the takeout process. They will hand you a wrong order, they will not know your order is ready, they will not have record of your order. They will gladly run 45 minutes behind your pick up time—and then kindly screw up your order. Since Covid—not gotten one order correct, nor on time,
Great atmosphere very open and able to watch all the March Madness games. They have great food and the prices are very reasonable. If you have not been here you have to try the pizza.

If you like wings and pizza yes and yes they have these!! The garlic Parmesan boneless extra wet—-yummy!!! The pizzas are all great but get the combo 3 choice to savor all the tastes. Hamburger pizza — taco pizza— tarot tot pizza oh my!!!! Just a few!!! Trivia nights and they have a few bands too!!
The most unique and delicious pizza menu EVER!! Family owned and family run, the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly... We love the food, the owners, the start, and the atmosphere. You can get delivery, but youd enjoy it more if you ate in house. Grandads is the BEST pizza in town!
My niece turned me on to Grandads a week or so ago. Yummo! This is what Donatos used to be...back in the day. Toppings are generous & the crust is thin & crispy but has a subtle chew. Its not too spicy which is a real positive when every restaurateur is out there to keep ramping it up. Definitely a plus for my parents (& others) who are unable to tolerate spicy food. Nice find. I am a convert.
Definitely in the top 3 best pizza places in Ohio for me, always love going there on fridays with my family. Servers are great and even though they can get a bit busy (expected with how great their food is) they always do a great job. Give it a try if you havent already.
The pizza is great, the service has always been quick and friendly, but what I came here to talk to you about are the STROMBOLI. They are nothing short of amazing. A small one-topping easily feeds two, and its the most flaky delicious creation this side of a Cronut. This, the good staff and the generous seating inside that ensures groups large and small are handled comfortably, makes this restaurant a must for any local pizza lovers (and I know there are a lot of you). Stop scrolling through reviews, and go!
Absolutely amazing. The pizza was the best I have had in Columbus and the staff was awesome. This is a MUST stop for the best pizza in both taste and quality. You will not be disappointed.
We went there for lunch Sunday. Our appetizer came out with our pizza. (Cold nachos) The table next to us got their food 20 minutes before we did, and they came in after us. Pizza was okay. The toppings were just thrown on top, not alot of cheese. Wont be back. It was the first time in years we didnt leave a tip.

Good pizza place in the Hilliard area. I have only had pick up from here so I can only speak to that. The pizza was good and very good quality ingredients. Upon others recommendations, we tried the stromboli as well..very good decision. Good sauce, good sausage, and a nice variety of topping choices.They are also a full service restaurant and bar that seems good for groups and families. But as stated before, we have only done carry-out.
First and last time getting that pizza. It was cold when my gf brought it home. I paid for extra cheese I we couldnt even tell if there was cheese on in the first place. The pretzel bites ok the beer cheese is trash.

Granddads pizza is great .the pub is great also ,game room clean restrooms smoke free so you can taste the food and not smoke .been there twice now good size pizzas for the price friendly people. too .did takeout first time ,second time ate in enjoyed food music on the tv and the game also .Will be returning again close to work so it ie easy to pickup or to deliver. Pizza Was Great.
I love the pizza at Grandads! Its really great and the service has been pretty awesome.It is one of my more frequent hangouts and I often stop by for a beer and a small stromboli. I wish that their beer selection was a little better, but I can always find something that Im willing to drink. The liquor selection also seems a bit lacking to me, but Im also a beer or scotch kind of a guy.It is a thin crust style pizza, so if youre not into that kind of thing I may not necessarily recommend it. Personally, I love pizza from thin style to deep dish style, and this is one of my favorites. That said, I really like the plain pepperoni pizza, but occasionally go for the tater tot pie, which is also amazing. The small stromboli is easily enough to fill me up with a few pieces of leftovers and I absolutely recommend the garlic butter with whatever you get!

This is our go to for Pizza! Appetizers are fantastic especially the Fried Pickles! Pizza is amazing, the ingredients are so fresh on them its even delicious when its cold the next day!
Ordered online and did curbside pickup. Super easy! And the pizza was straight out of the oven! We were so excited we pulled over and ate some in the car!

2022-05-13Outstanding Pizza! Service was good!! Id HIGHLY recommend the Scottish Eggs as an appetizer. Sorry, but the 4 star (instead of 5) was because the small side creaser salad was very overprices for the size ($6.25). Over all highly recommend and will be back soon.

2021-11-24Had an order to pick up at 5:47 tonight. Walked in at 5:49 they said it wasn’t ready yet would be a few more minutes… ok no problem. After I observed them give pizzas directly from the kitchen to customers who came well after me I decided to inquire again. She checks and pulls out the pizza and container of wings from the top shelf of cabinet and said oh it just came out. No, no it didn’t I observed that pizza and container in the spot the entire time I was there. Walked out with my pizza at 6:17. Got home pizza was barely warm and wings were slightly warmer. I know they were busy and they were hustling but my order was there and ready the entire time absolutely unreal!

2022-03-06Giving 3 stars because the pizza is just okay. We got an extra large pizza w four toppings. Did not walk away impressed with the quality of ingredients (mediocre quality meat/cheese, canned mushrooms), sauce (slightly sweet and canned) or crust (flat, typical square cut for Ohio and little flavor). Waited 20min over time quoted for pickup. Better than some of the other chains but not great. They did have a really nice sports bar and seating area if you dine in. Would be good for a large family or gathering to watch sports.

2022-06-07Understated yet delicious. :) The chesse bread was light and flavorful, perhaps my favorite version of! The loaded tots were crispy and not so heavily loaded that they were mushy; they maintained their crispness while still being tasty. :)The Italian sub was exactly what you would hope for. Perhaps the only thing not exceeding expectations was the chef salad. I thought the menu said a mixed greens base, but I think it was just a standard lettuce. But there were plenty of toppings which were quite good.

2022-03-27Hands down the best pizza in Hilliard. Fresh toppings and always hot. They also have other options in the menu that is pretty good as well. Love the family environment and how involved they are with the community local sports team. Definitely a place to take your family after your kids ball game.

2022-03-10Recently ordered a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza. The pricing went up and the crust got a lot thinner. The crust was very, very thin to the point the grease soaked through and even into to the box. I hope this isn’t the new normal for the Hillard location because Grandads pizza was always high quality with great taste. Used to beat the heck out of Donatos but this one not so much. Come on Grandads you can do better than this!

2022-02-12The pizza itself was ok. Worst part about it was they used canned mushrooms which is a shame they have a great crust for the pizza. My biggest issue is it was during a soccer afternoon game around 430 towards the end of the game. This made it insanely loud with decibels reaching 85 which is insane loud… what made it bad is they also had tvs covering the game on full blast which forced people to talk really loud. Even after the game it was still around 80 decibels. Service was good.
