We had a very large tree removed from our backyard, it was surrounded by a shed, privacy fence and a pool. There was not much room at all but they were able to do it all in one day with very little cleanup. They also came back another day to remove some large roots that became visible. We highly recommend!
Just had a tree removed from my property and this company did a great job! The tree was in a difficult location, however, they had it taken down quickly without any issues. The price was very reasonable and the crew cleaned up to the point you couldnt even tell they had been there. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have tree work done on their property.
Very professional and reasonably priced. Our tree was very close to our house and power lines,I had no concerns about how they we cutting down our tree. I will definitely call them again if I need another tree removed.
GP Tree has done 3 separate jobs for me. Each one more laborious than the last. The first job as trimming out the top of one tree. The last job, they were here pretty much all day. They cleared all scrub trees from an area that was 175’ by 60’. They did an amazing job each time. Upon completion, you would never know that they were here. That was very important to me.The day I called GP I had called several other companies and GP was the ONLY one that even called me back. That alone spoke volumes to me. They were quite backed up with local storm damage and it took about a month to actually get to me but since my job had no urgency I waited. Very glad I did!
This will be the third time in 23 years Ive hired GP tree, The first time was for the removal of 9 (some very large) trees the following times have been for trimming. The crews have always been respectful of the property and prompt. I dont even think about calling anyone else.
I have used GP Tree for several of my homes and projects. We are general contractors and we prefer GPT because of their professionalism, promptness, impressive clean-up after a tree removal, and full service including stump grinding. It is not easy finding reliable tree experts and this is the best we have found in the Summit / Portage / Stark County areas. Call GP Tree!
These guys were great . took out 2 trees in very tight space and electric wires running beside the huge tree one was very tall other one hanging over neighbors house . on time got right to it excellent machine operators, great finesse guys are pros no doubt . i certainly will recommend them and will be calling again when ready to have a couple more removed
Whenever possible, I try to be a do it yourself kind of person, but the reality is, sometimes you just need to call in the experts. During a summer storm I had a large tree in my back yard that was struck by lightning. My husband and I removed as much of it as we could ourselves, but in the end we were left with a huge, unsightly tree stump. My husband tried to remove it himself, and finally after hours of frustration, he gave up and called GP Tree Service of Mogadore, Ohio. They were there within no time providing top quality service. You can tell from the end result of their work that they know what they are doing. Well worth the price. I recommend them to anyone who has a tree that needs trimming or removal.
Very happy with GP Tree. They trimmed many limbs from a very large tree for me in over in West Akron. It was very affordable (less than I expected and better than any of the other quotes we got). The team was very professional and cleaned up everything when they were done. Great job GP Tree!
GP tree service is the best tree service as far as I am concerned. Their pice is very fair and they are very responsive. Spoke to Gary on Thursday afternoon, had an estimate Friday morning and the job was done by Noon.

I would never recommend this company. I contracted with them in September and was told it would be 3-4 weeks.NOTHING, not even a phone call. I called the week before Thanksgiving to inquire since it was well past their timeline. The owner, Gary, called me back and told me he would be here the week after Thanksgiving (all while referring to me as honey). Its now December 15th - the tree is still here and I havent gotten another call and its 3 months past when I contracted with them. Bad business - if they didnt want my small job, they should have just said so. Very unhappy.
Contracted with Gary, and his crew, to remove a very large maple in a very difficult position. They showed up with a bucket truck, a crane, a chipper, and a ground crew . When they left, the only thing that was left was a pile of sawdust where the Stump used to be. There was not one single twig in the yard anywhere. This company will be doing more work for us, and they are knowledgeable, insured, and professional.

2019-11-27Great company to do business with. Used them for the third time but this time for a large job to remove 8 trees from behind our home. They a nice job and take pride in their work and clean up really good when they are done. They even used mating to protect our yard. I will definitely use them again.

2021-11-18I have ALWAYS used GP tree for trimmings and tree removal for almost 20 years. They are fair, honest, insured and the best tree service I have used. My extended family has years GP for years as well. There is no comparison. Hands down, the best.... highly recommended!

2020-11-05Had 2 large maples removed. Close to house. limited access. They put down matting and managed to get that bucket truck behind my house...very touchy maneuver...with no damage to house or yard. Removed the maples with crane, chipped, stumped, removed grindings. then gave a haircut to overhanging limbs over my roof. Very friendly crew. In at 8..gone by 11 Wayne was the boss and he was great. Cleaned up the debris and you can hardly tell they were here. would recommend highly. John
