Love this place!
Decent location right on Mt. Vernon Rd. (Rt. 13). Easy to get in and out of the parking lot. The staff have all been friendly when Ive gone in. I can find decent stuff and you cant beat the colored tag sales. The new merchandise and some of their colored tag furniture is a bit pricey, but overall its a pretty decent thrift store with a pretty decent selection overall.
My wife and myself visits goodwill quite often. We had heard in Mt Vernon how expensive Newark store was but we want to find out for our self. Omg I looked at a tub over flow pipe a $7---$8. Item at Lowes they wanted $52 yes $52. Asked manager about who prices these things and he pulled out a phone or tablet looked up a very high end suplier and it was a little bit higher than that. You can buy a ford in one town for a low price and buy a ford in another town with huge price difference. After contacting manager I said I could get same item much cheaper I go there manager said (ya you do that). Left the store good will needs to help all people buyers to help they get things they need resonable. And the people there supost to be helping. I will not drop merchandise there EVER AGAIN they get it free and rip people kff
Goodwill use to be an affordable place to shop for lower income families. However, they take in new merchandise and up the price, even in used items. Ive been to regular stores and found brand new items for less.
I love going to this good will they have products that are still in their package brand new at times I have markdowns 50% off 75% off service is great people are kind what more can I say
Good place, but 99% of everything is overpriced. Thats what you get at a For Profit organization that pretends to be non profit donation, reselling what they are given for the needy the only needy people they help are themselves.
Something different every day. New and used items. Mostly great prices, except on new, donated furniture from area stores.
Prices have become outrageous. I spend less at Walmart than I do at Goodwill. I should not be paying close to same amount for used clothing as I do for new.
Goodwill Unlimited in Heath, Ohio and the Mt. Vernon Plaza both sell Propane. They can recertify tanks as well as exchange the 20 pound tanks for $16.95 plus tax.

I have never felt so humiliated in my life had an employee follow me every step I took in the store and I got dirty looks all because I’m killing time so I came to Goodwill thought it would be OK but instead was followed and disrespected never coming to the store again
I buy propane here on a regular..One of 2 places thats cheap

2022-05-27All the thrift stores owned by Goodwill that Ive been into have had wonderful employees who are extremely helpful. The stores are hit or miss on the cleanliness with the two on Mount Vernon road in Newark and in pataskala have always been nice and clean every time I visited. The store in pataskala however has better prices than the one in Newark, they seem to be more reasonable and a little less expensive. However I enjoy being in both stores as its always a pleasant experience every time. Plenty of parking at both locations, fitting rooms as well as handicap accessibility and parking.

2022-01-25They dont take returns, and they dont test their stock thoroughly, even if they label it as tested. Bought a broken appliance, and they refuse to refund. Shop at your own risk.

2021-11-30I love thrift shopping but Goodwill’s prices just keep rising and rising. Seems more than other thrift stores. Was shocked to see a chair on sale for $252. Out of curiosity looked it up, thinking it must be AT LEAST a thousand dollar chair.... it’s cheaper on Amazon. Sad.

2022-03-03Very friendly. But I know its not the employees fault that the prices are starting to increase. I get higher prices on new merchandise however, the USED items are GIVEN to them FREE. So come on now. Picture frames for 5 n 6 dollars for example

2021-08-18We love thrift shopping as a general rule. It allows us to recycle used clothes and household items while helping others in the process. The prices at Goodwill have been climbing towards retail levels and there is not much thrift left. Selling brand new items at the retail level eliminates all savings for most customers.

2020-07-17Doors are locked and closed sign up at 9:28 am. Says opens at 9:00. I drove 45 minutes to get here. This is unexceptable.

2021-02-15So I went to three Goodwills in Lincoln County today and out of all three of them all of the employees just seem to be so uptight and rude but I purchased lots of stuff and each one has been too much money but a lot of your shoes the prices on them are a little pricey at 2 of your location the other one wasnt so so bad I got new shoes for $10 opposed to 20 or 30 thank you for that plan to return but with a different attitude I think just because of the employees there heart real Pleasant

2019-06-04Shopped for the 1st time at this location on Rte 13 in Newark. Do they have a second location. Prices were ok - I’ve seen better. Found a lamp that I really liked. It has been on the shelf for about 2 1/2 months without any price reduction. Spoke with the manager who was not willing to deal with the price.

2021-03-29Not a lot of selection on the day I was there , because they hadnt put out anything . You just have to go to see if they may have what your looking for . Their prices can be a bit high sometimes for the particular item your trying to purchase .
