Goodwill Industries in other cities:
Great place for recycled clothing, furniture and home goods. Donation drop off is in back. Ask for a receipt for your taxes (donations are tax deductible) and coupon (usually 20% off). Look for the color of the week to save even more! Selection can vary. For best bargains - visit often.
Four dollars for used shirts that have the seams falling out and were donated to the store for free? A bit crooked if you ask me. If youre making a 100% profit off someone elses hand me down you can at least sell if for a used and damaged price. The weird part is that books and furniture isnt priced too bad... And those arent necessities like work clothes are.Nearly no blank button up shirts for interviews. The few that are there are either super tiny or enormous. Theres plenty of other types of shirts however like ones with logos on them. The changing rooms were a total disaster. Gum, wrappers, blown in leaves, and abandoned clothing littered the floor and benches in each one.Upon leaving it took about five minutes for anyone to notice we wanted to check out.Goodwill stores are cool, and Ive seen many nice ones, but this one is one of the most disappointing when it comes to price and what you receive. Why is a hyper sexualized tube top shirt cheaper than a button up shirt a person needs for a job? And its unraveling thread, has bleach spots, and holes to top it off. Its rather puzzling to me.They have a cute figurine selection, stuffed animals, miscellaneous stuff. And that stuff is sometimes very cheap in price. They also have a little spot about job related things and listings that I highly appreciate.
Your fitting room limits of 3 items is ridiculous. Rude to yell out in the store to remind people of the 3 item limit. JC Penny has brand new merchandise and they allow more items than your donated (thats free) merchandise. If youre concerned about people stealing then put staff at your fitting rooms like all other retailers do.
Went to drop off things to donate the guy there was very rude. This has been a reoccurring thing with the people there. Make you feel as if their paying to much for your things as their obviously getting it from me for free. They get things for free then charge their customers for their free things. Ohh Im sorry my nightstand has a scratch on it Not like people go there to get new items . If the guy that works the donating dock you should get a new job you make the experience a nightmare
I went to drop off a bunch of boxes full of toys and stuffed animals, as I was unloading the boxes an older gentleman came out of the back yelling at me that they werent open yet, what was I doing. I told the man that boxes were already there and I thought we we able to drop things off while they were closed. He got agitated and yelled again that they werent open. I told him that I was trying to do something nice, but I would just throw the boxes away. He said he didnt care and go ahead. Completely rude and not warranted for him to act this way to someone trying to donate things for children. I am disgusted with that establishment.
Its a goodwill, not Bloomingdales. Dont know why they have the color of the week when I see them pulling all of that color off the rack. The days have changed when they start the discount color, and Im sure it varies from store to store, but get there the first day it changes. Then skip the clothes racks and root through the carts that they are collecting stuff to switch out...hint, its all the discount color items.

2022-03-23Update: as for the item they refused to honor at the sale tag price on the board.....I ended up getting it for cheaper than the sale price I was refused purchase with 🤣 just waited a few weeks, no one bought it and I ended up buying it for 75 % off instead of the 50% I was trying to purchase it for. Thank you 🤣Just lost a loyal customer by the rudeness and aggressiveness of the cashier. I will take my donation directly to the needy before donating to the goodwill again after how I was treated by a cashier who didnt want to honor a priced deemed half off by the sale sign. Instead of handling it respectfully her street attitude got the best of her and she spoke to me as if she was initiating a bar fight. Thank you for such disrespect. The Goodwill should feel proud to have you on their team disrespecting their customers and pushing them away. Take your donations directly to the shelters where they freely give your donations to those in need.

2021-12-26They had a broken old shelf tagged for $8. Went in a few days later and it went up to $15. The furniture in general at this location is over priced but to mark something up as a nonprofit is ridiculous. Would understand if it was in great condition but most things are not.

2022-02-15This is one of thee thrifty stores where its a certain fillar amount for pants and shirts, no deals. To luck out on like .50 shirts. Big store, huge selection.

2022-06-14They discriminate against children claiming they cant go into the store alone to buy stuff, I use to shop there all the time as a teen. All the other Goodwills in the akron area allow children to shop.Update* Spoke to corporate, if you are being told at this location that your minor child is not allowed to walk around the store to shop without you right beside them, make sure you get the employees name & report them to corporate...they said they do not have any such rule!!

2021-11-04Great bargains as one would expect at Goodwill. Its turning cold here and I got a nearly new Appalachian Trail brand thermal top for $5. $40 new.

2020-12-20I love thrift shopping at different Goodwill locations! The staff at this location are so friendly. Theres USUALLY good deals but not always in the catagoriesIm looking for but I guess thats to be expected. The one thing I dislike about this location is that the quality can be very bad if you dont pay attention. Also at times, I feel the new goods (from target) tend to be overpriced sometimes.

2021-01-09I would put zero stars but I can’t. The lady when we walked in looked at me and my kids because my one kid had fell outside and was crying I was trying to get her calmed down and she got mad then she yelled at me for not having my 2 year old, 4 year old, and 9month old wear a mask. The World health organization says any school age child and over should wear a mask, my child was 2. Never have I ever I had a problem with taking my kids into any other goodwill or store at that for them not wearing a mask. Unbelievable, theirs honestly no law for anyone to wear a mask it’s recommended.
