We can’t thank Glicker Funeral Home enough for their professionalism and compassion during a difficult time. Larry really cares. He was very thoughtful as he directed us through the entire process. His experience and approach allowed us put our father to rest with meaning, purpose and tradition.

It has been a very hard week for me for I lost my wife Jan 16 and I was so lost, the staff and the person that helped me through the start of this was Larry, He experience her family has I have and was the most professional as anyone I have honor of meeting. He is a true loving professional person I have ever meet. he has given me the strength to travel this very hard time. I thought I could not make it and along my wifes and mine limited friends he is the one that is helping me get through this. I meet his coworker today and he was just as nice and a wonderful person. I would stand behind this men anytime they ask of me too. If you are going through this, go to these people for they will help you travel the hard road I am and you might have to travel. I do believe that God put these men on this earth as a mission to help us to travel this road, in the difficult time when you loose a love one. Thank you Larry sir I am forever in your debt and please let your co worker know it was the kindness talk I have had to have to in this road I am traveling for he got me to smile in this and that is a gift not many people have to say the least . In closing I thank you and will be talking to you all , in the end of this week.
I have used Glickler funeral services two times now, and both times they have went above my expectations by far. Larry Glickler, and Dan Anthony have been a pleasure to work with both times. my wife, Stella Pheanis, was laid to rest in Royal Oak Friday, 9-13-19. Glickler funeral home done a great job for me during this sad time in my life. thanks again to Dan and Larry.
About 3 years ago my husbands mother passed away in Alabama. As you can imagine, we were very concerned about how we were going to coordinate everything to get her back to Ohio. Our first phone call was to Larry Glickler, who immediately put our minds at rest took all of the difficult details out of our hands and handled literally everything. It was I totally and completely flawless and seamless transition, which gave us the ability to process, grieve, and take care of personal details. He took care of everything from making contact with the coroner in Alabama, to transport to Ohio, to the funeral arrangements, communicating with the priest, help with clothing, to helping with flowers, suggestions on food, arrangements for headstone and engraving, etc. We literally turned everything over to Larry and his team, and they could not have been more helpful, sympathetic and exacting in his execution of everything that had to be coordinated. During such a difficult time, and especially when something is so unexpected, it is a relief to have someone you know will take care of every detail well also helping a family through emotionally. You will not regret using the Glickler team.
July 2019Glickler Funeral Home ReviewRecently my family experienced the untimely death of my beloved sister Janina Sanders. This subsequently led our family to regretfully begin the process of making funeral arrangements. Due to our sudden loss, I was advised that Glickler funeral home had the most cost effective prices in the Dayton, Ohio area. Considering the services my family and I we were looking for, and after speaking with their representative, Mr. Dan Anthony, we paid for the funeral arrangements in full and proceeded to plan for this unfortunate event. The interaction my family had with Mr. Anthony was very professional and he assured us we were in excellent hands as they would take great care of our loved one. Mr. Anthony advised us what the next steps were, and he encouraged us to contact the office if we had any additional questions or concerns.It was an extended Memorial Day holiday weekend and they were indeed able to provide us with timely service and for that we are grateful. However, Mr. Anthony was out of town for the weekend and we had to work with the owner Mr. Larry Glickler. Alas, our interaction with the owner (Mr. Larry Glickler) was one of the worst experiences we have ever had to deal with!Mr. Larry Glickler was rude, short tempered, condescending, unprofessional and downright disrespectful. On several occasions he had the audacity to yell at me and another member of our family. In our opinion, Mr. Larry Glickler should never interact with families, particularly those undergoing such a stressful and emotional situation. Take my advice and pay a little more! Saving a couple hundred dollars is not worth the added anguish you may encounter when dealing with Mr. Larry Glickler. Dealing with the death of a loved one, the expectation is that you and your family will be extended at best compassion and at the very least common courtesy. At understandably one of the most heart-breaking times of anyone’s life, one certainly would not expect to be treated so insensitively. This was not the case with Larry Glicker of Glicker funeral home in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Glickler and his team were awesome from the beginning to the end. They went over and beyond and I am so grateful for them. They made the process of me burying my dad less stressful. Very caring staff that took care of all our needs
When speaking with Mr. Glickler on the phone regarding the passing of my husband, he was very nice, compassionate and understanding. However, that was the extent of his personal involvement. The gentleman I met with to sign papers at the funeral home for the cremation was alright. However the horror I experienced at the nursing home negated everything Mr. Glickler put into motion. The man sent to the nursing home from the funeral home gave me no opportunity to leave the room or even offered me the option. I was vertually a prisoner. Standing at the nightstand, pinned in by the gurney, he wrapped my husband in the bed sheet, lifted him on to the gurney, zipped my husband in the bag and left the room. This I witnessed and still have nightmares about. My husband of 38 years was the love of my life. I know this was the way persons are handled when they pass, but there was no compassion shown or the right to be present or not given to me. Maybe Mr. Glickler has never had this situation presented to him before now. Its too late for me since the memory is always going to be there whenever I think of my husbands passing. This occurred in March and Ive been unable to talk about it until now. I didnt know what to expect and now I cant ever get past this.
I was at a loss when me father died, Larry helped me every step of the way. I couldnt have done half of what they did for me. They collected and filed the necessary paper work for my dad to be buried in a veteran cemetery, and that really meant a lot, to give my dad the honor in death that he didnt get in life. My sisters husband James Burroughs passed away unexpectedly. We dealt with Dan Anthony he was amazing he was kind and very passionate about everything I would definitely recommend this funeral home and especially Dan he is such a great person to work with in a time of need
My nieces dad passed away on the 3rd unecpectedly and we didnt have no insurance or money to have any services .. but glikey worked with us and her father had a beautiful service and I would highly recomd this funeral home

My father passed at 1234am early on a Saturday. I am actually from out of town Nd time was of the essence. Larry was so efficient yet empathetic and thoughtful. 2022-05-21Larry Glickler and his staff are very caring and professional. Dealing with a loved ones death can be very traumatic. Larry will put you at ease. More importantly, everything is done in a high-quality professional manner. In my case, the funeral needed to be both planned and completed within two days. Larry and his team carried out the funeral without any problems even with this time constraint. You can count on Larry and his team to make your life easier during trying times.

My husband and I were greeted by the most kind and welcoming man, who walked us through each and every step of planning a funeral/cremation package, with ease. He honestly and openly answered each question we had, putting our minds at peace, as we finalized the paperwork. When the time comes to use their services, only a phone call is needed, and the rest is done by them. We highly recommend Glickler Funeral Home and their services for you and your loved ones. 2021-12-11Larry and Dan have been excellent. Extremely quick in responding to your requests, very affordable and always available to respond to your calls. At tough times you need a very reliable and dependable team to help you maneuver through the different procedures and Larry s team is the one to assist you. Having never faced such a situation before they have held my hand through everything including shipping of the ashes overseas. No one can compensate for the emotional stress you go through when you have lost a dear one but Larry would be the person to contact for all the procedures so you can grieve in peace. Very grateful for all the help and god bless these guys.

2020-08-21My relative died recently. He had not been proactive about His final arrangements and the family was facing a sizable bill to do even a basic cremation. Glickler stepped in and worked tirelessly to ensure every last wish of my family member was met. The casket was gorgeous, and the service was exactly what the deceased wanted. The Glickler Funeral Home experience was outstanding! I would highly recommend this funeral home. Although I’m sure your family would appreciate it if you got with Glickler before you pass so your family doesn’t have to scramble to get you a beautiful service.
