The move from HELL. First they send a truck that is too small. Then they take it to Ohio and put it in an warehouse with no heat control and leave it there for 2 weeks before delivering it to our home - during July when temperatures were soaring in the midwest. Just about every piece of our lovely furniture has a gouge, scratch, scrap or broken corner on it. I am heartbroken. Antique pottery - which was carefully and securely packed - were broken. I had original hired American Van Lines who subcontracted out the move to Glass City Movers from Baltimore, MD to Illinois in July....one of the hotest months of the year. Of course I did not see ALL of the damage in time to file a complaint. WE WAITED TWO WEEKS TO GET OUR STUFF BECAUSE GLASS CITY DIDNT HAVE ANYONE COMING OUR WAY SO WE HAD TO WAIT. AS FOR CLAIMS ALL OF THIS WAS HANDLED THRU AMERICAN VAN LINES. I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE ANY CLAIMS THRU GLASS CITY MOVERS BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE A CONTRACT WITH GLASS CITY MOVERS!
Our driver/loader (Kane) was prompt and really knew how to pack our belongings on the truck to minimize any damage. A really good guy.
We had a great experience from start to finish. Nicole was very responsive and answered all of our questions and setting up the move went smoothly. I wasn’t at the house when the truck was loaded, my husband thinks their names were Darius and Wesley but they did a great job packing everything with care and making sure the truck got packed and split properly as we moved from a house to an apartment so some stuff had to go to storage. Kane and Charles…I can’t say enough good things about them. They put everything efficiently in our storage units so that we could still access our stuff if we need to. And then these poor guys had to bring the rest of our stuff up 2 flights of stairs to a 3rd floor apartment. They must have been dead by the end of the day. I would not have been physically capable of doing any of that. Thanks guys, I appreciate all of your hard work and how friendly you were!
We had a great experience with Glass City... They were very helpful from start to finish. I have moved several times in my life, but never during crazy times like this! They went out of their way to assure me things would be done professionally and on time, they were spot on. Delivery and pickup was timely, professional, clean, and efficient. I was actually also amazed that in this day and age you can actually talk to a person when you call, not a long list of automated selections and hold music! Very refreshing to be honest. Thank you from myself AND my family...truly you guys/gals made this an excellent experience!!!
Hired them for a local pickup and delivery from one residence to another, locally in Toledo. They moved a heavy front-load washing machine and a small futon. They charge a 2-hr min of $260, which was more than I was hoping to pay but less expensive than some other companies. Two strong guys moved the items in a timely manner. I was pleased that they were able to do the job the day after I called them as the other places I called wanted me to wait a week or more. The delivery guys didnt have masks, so that was disappointing, but otherwise I was pleased with the job.
We had a very good experience with Glass City Movers.Unlike so many supposed movers you get connected to online, that are simply brokers, Glass City is a legitimate moving company.Our contact was Nicole, she is knowledgeable and very personal. She will actually return your calls!The movers actually arrived when they said they would, unlike our pervious experience. The agreed upon price was the final price, unlike the “bait and switch” so many of the brokers practice.We had been burned in a previous move and were so pleased with the honest, and excellent service at a very fair price. If you need a mover and you are fearful of the fly by night guys out there just call Glass City Movers in Toledo, speak to Nicole and put your mind at ease. I would use Glass City again in a heartbeat.
From the first contact with Nicole to the pick up and delivery...first rate service! I was coordinating a complicated move and Nicole went over every detail and told me to text her with any questions. Brock and Nick packed everything up here; they were fast and efficient. Work smarter, not harder. Chris and Tim unloaded the truck 800+ miles away and did a great job! They even put the bed together. Their prices are great, so great that I thought they were too good to be true. Great experience with an outstanding company!!
Dont even hesitate to choose Glass City Movers. By far this company prevails. Hit all my expectations. The men who showed up on the day of the move were pros. They wrapped all my furniture packed up my kitchen china, stemware and precious moments as if it belonged to them. A quick turn around for delivery. Pricing was fair and worth the service. Glass City Movers was a 5 star experience.
I can’t recommend them enough! We worked with them for our Cleveland to Chicago move and it was seamless. We scheduled everything with Nicole who was great. She answered all of my questions and was very responsive. The day of the move, the two guys were so wonderful. They were incredibly nice & efficient and they got us moved out quickly. Our furniture/boxes were delivered next day and they were once again so nice & efficient. The price was also incredibly fair. I’ve worked with other movers before and had bad experiences, but this company really was amazing to work with. Highly recommend them!
Kane and Charles just moved my parents from Northern Ohio to Kentucky. They were both so friendly, positive and professional. They handled all of their possessions better than if they were their own. I highly recommend them. They made a stressful move enjoyable.
Unprofessionial. I supervised my moms move. 1 guy showed up looking exhausted and admitted he been up all night drinking. Her dryer ended up scratched and after they got it to the new house insisted it was like that to begin with. Do not use these guys

We chose Glass City for our first ever out of state move (PA to MI). We did a ton of research, it’s overwhelming how many options there are out there, but Glass City really put us at ease. They were on time and efficient. I was worried since we had a lot of stuff to move and knew we’d go over the weight limit, but the extra 15 cents per pound rate is so reasonable, and the crew loaded it all with a can-do attitude! We are in a short term rental while house-hunting and I will definitely be using them again when we’re ready to move into our forever home! Highly recommend.
Do all of your drivers drive down the road drinking beer? Seen them leaving the Pilot Travel Center in Toledo Ohio. I just assumed the business owner would like to be aware.
After researching many companies I decided to hire Glass City Movers for our move to TN. From the detailed inventory list Nicole did she was able to give me a binding quote (with no hidden costs). The crew showed up on time and I was delivered in the time frame we discussed (thanks to Terry and John). My furniture arrived without any issues and my husbands (handcrafted by his great grandfather) china cabinet arrived in perfect condition! A BIG thank you to the Glass City Movers team for a job well done. I will definitely be referring you to our family and friends in need of your great moving services.

This was my first time using a mover so I was kind of nervous. The crew made sure that all of my expectations were met and that I felt comfortable. All of my belongings at the end of the move were still in the same condition as they were at the beginning. Everyone was wonderful and extremely helpful. If I ever move again I will definitely be using Glass City Movers and will be recommend their service to family and friends.
The Glass City Movers sent me an amazing team. They were very professional and no detail was overlooked. Everything including an upright piano was moved to our new home without a single scratch. Glass City Movers movers did a great clearance job in a third floor flat for me - even removing a fitted kitchen, appliances and carpets. They were able to complete the job at very short notice and also arranged for a deep clean to be done the following day, whichwas a huge help! Overall they were really efficient, professional and good value for money and Id happily use again in the future.

We were assigned Glass City Movers through American Van Lines for our home move from Atlanta to Chicago. We moved a large box truck worth of items.We’ve had several moves over the years, but Glass City and our moving crew were hands down the best. David and Juan were courteous, careful, and respectful. You can tell they knew what they were doing and took care of our items. We had most of our items already packed, including TV’s and art work. David and Juan had everything loaded on the truck in about 4 hours. We had several heavy items and they loaded them without complaint.The same crew delivered our items, although they had mentioned it could possibly be a different crew making the delivery. I was happy to see it was David and Juan making the delivery. They unloaded the truck in about 4 hours and happily placed them where we needed. Upon delivery, none of our items were broke, damaged, or missing. This is the first time in any of our moves we’ve had a clean damage free move. I attribute this to David and Juan for being careful and respectful of our belongings.I cannot say enough good things about the quality and care Glass City showed during our move. They communicated well, kept us informed of updates and status, and showed up on time without any hidden fees. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for movers. I’ll use them again if we ever move.

Glass City Movers was perfect from start to finish. There was a lot more work than originally planned as we had a 3-bedroom apartment PLUS 35 boxes from a warehouse to move in one day but they managed to get everything done smoothly and without a scratch. Their price was also the most competitive I got from all the quotes I received. Its the second time I use them and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.
Very professional movers. They were on-time, friendly, they laid down carpet protection to prevent dirt on my carpet, they were very fast. Glass City Movers were well worth their reasonable fee, I will use them again.
I am beyond impressed by the men who moved us. It was the day after almost a foot of snow fell. Not only did they come prepared with shovel to widen the path already made, but they also helped neighbors dig out of their parking spots when needed. These men were respectful, efficient, and incredibly fast! I would recommend them to ANYONE who is looking to hire movers.
They were significantly less expensive than I had feared moving would be. Beyond that, they arrived in the window they said they would and loaded/unloaded my things in a timely fashion. There was some minor damage on a few pieces of furniture, but no more or less than there likely would have been had I moved it myself. One item was lost in the move, but fortunately it was only the middle support for my bed frame and I haven’t noticed a difference. Also, the movers themselves were very friendly. All told, I’d use this company again.
This was a great experience From the very first phone call to the very last box coming off the truck this experience has been great. Their rates are very reasonable and cant be beat.Nicole in the office did an amazing job of making sure we were well cared for and all our questions were answered. She was always prompt and quick to reply to either emails or voicemails and to make sure that my questions were answered and I felt confident and comfortable about the service I was going to receive. On the day of the move our movers Cliff and TJ could not have been more careful with our things. They asked questions when they were unsure where things should go and how we wanted things arranged in our new home.When I had a problem and was referred to John to solve an issue, he was not as responsive. He was not quick to respond or service the issue.Not having an exact day or time until a few days before the move or in some cases the day before can be stressful when there are so many other factors involved in moving to coordinate. I wish their scheduling was smoother. I still would highly recommend Glass City not only for their prices being better than all the rest but their services are head and shoulders above the others.
Let me just tell you that my overall moving experience could have been a complete train wreck due to the fact I used a Moving Broker instead of directly with a moving company such as Glass City Movers. However, my two movers (Nick and Tom) from Glass City Movers were absolutely exceptional. They were kind, professional, flexible and extremely hard working. They were able to move my entire house that was way above weight estimate and still remain pleasant and professional. They also were able to move my 850lbs gun safe when they should have be given at least 1-2 other guys of additional help. These guys didnt complain and were willing to work long hours to get things done on time. Nick and Tom as a pair, clearly worked very well together. Their familiarity with each other definitely helped with making my moving experience better. I highly recommend them to do anyone elses move and should be requested. These guys deserve a raise, because they make Glass City look awesome and represented them well. Thanks again Nick and Tom and see you in 3 years!
Charlie and Vincent picked up my stuff in Pennsylvania on 01/09/2021 - they did an excellent job with speed and finesse. They were very friendly and professional throughout the entire process, and got the job done quickly.Charlie and TJ delivered my stuff in Michigan on 01/12/2021 - Every item was accounted for. They again were very friendly and professional, and went the extra mile to get my bed up the awkward stairs situation. They asked where stuff went if there was any question, and made sure everything was where I wanted it before leaving.The next time I move I would certainly use them again!
Once again I used Glass City Movers and once again I was not disappointed. They are still the best movers I have ever used and I have moved a lot. I have used large moving companies and none of them can compare to them. I just used them in August 2016, the time before was in August of 2014. They are the best men you will ever get to move your furnishings. They take care in moving your items and always come prepared to take care of whatever needs to be done. I highly recommend them and know that I would never use anyone else for my moves.

Brocc and Kane were remarkable. They were timely, respectful, and friendly. Most importantly, they did their job well. They picked up my stuff without a fuss, and then dropped it off next day despite a 300 mile distance and snowy mountain driving. I also must shout out my rep from the company, Nicole S., who was also highly responsive. She literally replied to me via text on the weekend several times when I had questions and within an hour of my texts. This company is clutch.
Nicole you are AWESOME. I have been stressing about moving from Philadelphia to West Virginia for months. I used glass city movers to move to Columbus. I got quotes from multiple moving places and they had the most reasonably priced quote. Their service was quick, they were friendly, and the bill came out to the lower end of the estimated range. Overall a very pleasing experience for what would have been an otherwise stressful move.
Great team, very cheerful and careful. Moved an upright piano from New York City for us and took a baby grand away: managed the sloping drive and awkward corners with no problems. Took real care with both instruments and our wooden floor. They were also packed and wrapped everything very carefully and perfectly. Nothing was damaged or broken. Fantastic value for money and heartily recommended Glass City Movers.

They remove everything and replace it in the rooms they’re meant to be in when you get to your new house. They were fast efficient and careful. I can’t thank them enough. Scheduled a move from Bowling Green to Sylvania Twp. Jake and Donnie arrived on time and explained how the moving process would take place. The guys went to work and did a great job. We had a truckload of quality (and incredibly heavy) furniture moved from Pittsburg to Ann Arbor and both our crews were amazing. If I remember correctly their names were Eric & Nick, and Al & D! They were super professional, and incredibly careful with our furniture when they loaded, unloaded and even packed it up. They were timely with pickup/delivery too!
We just moved from Boston to Columbus, OH. Had Glass City Movers through a broker. It was the best move we ever had!! Could not have been in better hands!! They were timely, nice and efficient! The biggest thing, NOT ONE SINGLE ITEM WAS DAMAGED!! That just does not happen. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!
Not impressed with this moving company. Late on delivery and rough with items, only put blankets around furniture and no bubble wrap, boxes and furniture (shelving unit, small table) damaged upon delivery. Also damage on front end on floor and walls. The worst part is the initial mover rushed me into signing against the moving insurance and said my homeowners policy would cover- guess what it doesn’t and I have pictures of damage for proof. I even had everything in 2 rooms for them and allowed them to put everything in the garage (my request due to no white glove service and being rough with items). Called to complain about late delivery and damage- got $100 off. That won’t cover my $2000 shelving unit and have not unpacked one box yet to see additional damage. Pick another company.

Recently, I had the pleasure of having Mike and his crew comes help us move from a three bedroom to our new house. I really appreciated the attitudes of everyone who helped over the two days. Also communication throughout the process was outstanding. Kevin from the office was a pleasure to deal with, always answered my questions, and was super responsive. Recommended!
I will not start off the review with things that might have been out of their control. My experience with the company are as followed.Pick up day1. Management over loaded their staff’s work load. (2 men moving a 3 bedroom house before getting to our home.)2. Being over worked they missed their arrival window by 3 hours.3. With the truck being behind schedule the movers stopped for food without calling us. We remained sitting outside looking for the truck.4. To load our home took the men 4 hours including break and they waited for another crew to arrive to help.Move in day.1. Crew arrived 2 hours late from window.2. They rushed to unload the truck putting heavy boxes in the basement that needed to go upstairs.3. When they got to some of my musical instruments one of the movers said “If I know there was something like that of value it would have ended up in my car.” I understand it might have been my miss understanding, but I took it as a threat to steal my property. When I called his manager to complain the mover came in and did not offer an apology just said “ my manager said I had to explain why you miss understood me.Positive things1. Most of the movers are kind.2. The manager is quick to respond.3. The movers are skilled with packing the truck without wasting space.Negative1. Boxes were smashed (I can not blame the movers 100%, but it still happened.)2. They are understaffed for jobs, so they run late.3. One mover threatened to steal my property. (I understand if what he said was right and he just meant I should have taken it in my car, but he said my not your saying it would have ended in his car.)
We have used Glass City Movers for multiple large moves and some small moves. I am very sad to say that our last move from the Midwest to New England was less than acceptable. Cliff was awesome, Nick, not so much. He was extremely rude on several occasions. After the move was finished, we found that our vintage stereo console had been chipped. After calling Glass City to ask if they could search the truck just to give us the original piece, we received no responses and once we called them, they told us they had already told us there was nothing they could do, accidents happen. Someone moving from New York also lost a piece that was supposed to go with them, we ended up with it and were told not our problem, its yours now. We didnt even bring up the broken veneer on our entertainment center. This move was hard emotionally, and this company did not make anything better. Save yourself some time, pay some extra money, and make sure you have a satisfying move.
I recently moved from DC to MN, and the whole team was great to work with. We had a few bumps along the road (figuratively), but the team was responsive, helpful and couldnt have asked for a better team to work with. A special thanks to Kane and Brock! And while I didnt meet the moving team who unloaded my treasures in MN, my dad said they did an amazing job (Derek & ?). If you ever want to venture into local moves in MN, I know you would have some folks here who would like to use you.
This company delivered my mattress and took away my old one for me (they were hired by Saatva mattress company for this service). They worked with my schedule to deliver on a day that worked for me. They called when they were on their way, so I knew exactly when to expect them. They were very nice and professional, made good conversation, and made the whole process very pleasant. I’m very pleased with their service and wanted to give them a good review.
Do not use this mover. I have moved 7 times and this time I decided to use a local company instead of a national chain. I was moving from Ohio to Florida. On the day of my move, I was waiting for them to arrive and had called twice and was assured they were on the way. I called a 3rd time, they checked my name and had my move scheduled for the next day. They gave me no options and did not take responsibility for the major mistake! I was all packed up with my pets ready to drive to FL and had no movers. When my items finally arrived (they were late, but thats the least of my issues.) They also damaged my wooden dining table. It was only 2 yrs old, a 6-seater and in great condition. Something in their truck leaked all over it, the corner was completely buckled and ruined. I had to chase them down for 3 weeks with emails and phone messages for any type of compensation, and the kicker.....They are giving me a check for $60. They can damage your stuff and then only pay you 60 cents per pound for your item.....they are guessing that my table weights 100lbs and therefore think $60 is enough compensation for a $1500 dining table! HORRIBLE MOVERS, DO NOT USE THEM.
My wife and I had to do a major relocation. Due to my work I had to move while she settled things at home. I wanted to hire movers that she would feel comfortable with when it was time for her to look after the move. I booked Glass City Movers and I am glad I was right with my decision. My wife had an amazing carefree move. I whole heartedly recommend Glass City Movers.
This is the first time I am using any movers. In past I have moved all of the stuff by myself but they are good and really taking care of the items. They even wrapped stuff in bubble wrapping sheets for extra safety of the glass items. Good work guys. I am really impressed with their service. Full marks to them
They gave us a quote that was binding and we paid our deposit. Every step of our move went as planned and all our things were delivered on time and without damage. From the office staff to the movers to their vehicles, it is a quality operation that delivers as promised on all counts.
Not impressed with the level of service. Said truck was full and left a lot of boxes behind. Truck turned out to be just over half full. Dropped a box and the guy laughed and said its only glass dishes. It was not but not the point. Said dont tip them via card they will never see it
Management and movers were very nice. However, the owner underestimated the job by a couple of thousand dollars. A 1 1/2 day move was almost 4 days. It was a two truck four person job, and two people one truck was sent. We were charged for the extra time and the extra truck.Many of my items were damaged and we received a check which barely covered the damage to be repaired on ONE item. Ive learned my lesson to never go with an hourly rate, and go with a fixed rate. This was actually a nightmare. From our move to our old house to our move to our new house, this was the biggest negative we incurred.We had to fight for every dollar we got back and it was minimal. We never got reimbursed for the extra time that the move took. We were blamed because the owner said that we chose to take more things from the original estimate, which was not true.I also told him I would pack my own collectibles and he suggested to let them do it because they are insured. It took one FULL day for two guys to wrap up my collectibles. A regret on my end to be sure. And guess what? Some of my collectibles were broken by them.I gave them lunch each day as they had not packed their own food, and I tipped them handily at the end of what was a tremendous move. The move that should have been shorter was not their fault.

Our move was done without any dents, scratches, breakage; the packing was done quickly but most of all, carefully. The whole experience was completed as it should have, so thanks very much.

Company was phenomenal! They worked diligently and never rested until the move was completed. Guys were efficient, courteous and really awesome. Very knowledgeable staff, friendly, helpful and nice. Didnt break or damage anything. They got right on time and worked efficiently. We didnt have any problems with them.
The Glass City Movers guys loaded the truck carefully and none of my stuff damaged upon arrival. That’s pretty much all you can ask for these days is an honest company who is loyal to their word. Highly Recommended!!!
Kane and Brocc were very professional and accommodating. Moved us from Michigan to Maryland. It was a pleasure doing business with them. They didnt try to hit us with extra fees and took great care to pack and unpack.

Great Service. I had Al and Derrick. They were fast and friendly. Arrived at 9:05am loaded up my 2 bdrm duplex (I had everything in the living room ready to go) and they had the job done and unloaded to my new home by 11:10am when they pulled off. No regrets. I will be using them again.

I used Glass City Movers (contracted through Moving Staffers) to load a U-Pack trailer for my move from Lambertville,MI to Kissimmee FL last month. The movers were polite, professional and I even tipped them I was so impressed. I supplied dozens of moving blankets, 60 ratchet straps and let them know how precious a couple of the Bedroom Sets were. I thought they did a great job...... THAT IS ..... until I unloaded in Florida. What a disaster packing job. I have thousands of dollars in damage to my furniture, found un- used blankets stuffed in the trailer, blankets that could have protected my belongings. What a disaster of a job. The moving crew that unloaded me in Kissimmee told me, probably the worst packing job theyve ever seen. The response from Moving Staffers/Glass City Movers.... Stuff it. RUN, dont walk from this outfit.
These people dont know how to do their job. Stay away if you dont want your furniture destroyed. The guy who came couldnt answer a simple question, and then threatened to quit. The other guy swore a lot and left trash at my place. They dont use labels on items and delivered 5 boxes short. They dont have anything to hold the door open. They dont know how to wrap the furniture. They tried to wrap 4 table legs in one blanket without the blanket separating them till I stopped them. Still, they destroyed 3 pieces of my furniture, and then never returned my phone calls again. I have moved many times before , these are complete amateurs, and liars.
These guys were great, we did the move on a Sunday which worked best for us. The 3 guys they sent worked non stop for 11 hours with lots of stairs. Highly recommend them.
Hired these guys to move all of our big items. Resulted in a broken desk, torn fabric on our sectional sofa. About halfway through after it was taking far too long decided just to take what we had loaded up. Driver got lost on the way over to the new house, leaving me to wonder if they were just going to steal what was in the truck. Called the office countless times during this and nobody ever picked up. Ended up having Two Men and a Truck come out a few days later to finish the job and they were far better.
We worked with Jake and Kane for our move. We had a wonderful experience with these guys. They went above and beyond and really improved our opinion of the moving industry (which previously, we had been screwed by a different moving company). Would recommend these guys to anyone. Thanks again guys!

Worked very hard and quickly to load and unload my belongings. Nicole in the office was helpful and efficient. The men were respectful of our needs and worked with us.
The movers got dome with their move before mines early so they called me to notify me they would be able to start me early. Fine. My time started and it was wasted because I had to reschedule what I was doing to go meet them and get started. A 3 hour move turned into a 5 hour move. Domt get me wring,the movers had personality and were cool. I was 9 months pregnant so I really couldnt move much or handle allot of things. The move was done. Like I said I was 9 mo so I really couldnt put things up or check things out. I realized my headboard was left at my old place. After I delivered my baby and healed,I began mo bg ing around and settling in. I realized I was missing a huge tote of toys and a huge tote of clothes n coats. Ive emailed the company TWICE to see if anyone reported left totes in the trucks from the move and noone has yet to respond to me. I guess I have to chalk it up as a loss but thats terrible.i lost my baby and kids coats ,clothes n toys and cant even get a response to say no, no maam,kiss our a** or anything. Wont be using again
Overall very happy with Glass City. They were professional and able to deliver the day after picking up for a move about 450 miles from location to location. I will certainly consider them again in the future.
These guys were fast and efficient. I honestly cannot believe how much they fit in their van and how quickly they got us out of a 5th floor to our new apartment with all the heavy stuff we had. We would never have survived the move if we hadnt had them there to help.
Nothing like hearing your movers talk about the girls they have hooked up with while scratching the paint on the walls to your new house. And they left food trash in my old kitchen I had to clean

Much of my furniture was shipped without using moving blankets and arrived scratched up and chipped. Picture boxes arrived wet. I regret using this company and dont recommend them.

I was quoted a rate and it ended up being triple! Don’t know where my stuff is!! Unprofessional and scared it may not get to me! They left me no receipt and charged me triple and quoted to show up at certain date and they said 30 day window. They left behind items and charged me triple!

I used them to move my big stuff and they broke the draw on my washer scratched the front of it and dented it as well and the railing on my basement staircase came out of the wall scuffed the wall up really bad and the one guy complained the whole time and when I called to let the company know what has happened he said he would have someone contact me after he talked to his movers no-one ever contacted me I called back left message he still has never contacted me to this day I would not use this company ever again.
They kept us informed of their arrival times and our final price was close to what had been estimated. We highly recommend their service.

2021-09-15Nicole. This is Lori Kallenberg. I just cannot say enough about yall. From working with you to set up the move - you made everything so smooth and made me feel comfortable. The guys - Juan, Trey, and John, they arrived at 2:15 pm Sunday afternoon and worked like beasts, finishing at 10:15 pm. The care they took in packing my precious china, antique glassware and pottery, the pictures, antique furniture, and most especially, my moms grandfather clock. I was so impressed. They were so friendly and easy to work with. Thank you for everything. I look forward to working with you again when my belongings are moved from storage to my forever home in PA.

2022-02-10I reluctantly used this moving company after reading a few reviews that were not favorable. I wish I had followed my instincts and used another service. However, after a few phone calls with Nicole I decided to go forward. She was attentive and returned my phone calls, etc. If my first few calls and experience with Nicole was not favorable I would have rated Glass City Movers 0. I selected a date to schedule the move. Come to find out the date was a window and of course the actual date I requested was not the first date of the window but the last date. So if you decide to use them please know if given a window of (example 10/28 - 10/30, you better error on the later date which is what happened to me)The movers who showed up to move my things and to help pack some of the bigger items, were late. There were only two guys. The main driver/mover complained the entire time. They were extremely slow and it was a frustrating process. I was told upon pick up and storage of my items (moving out of state) I was required to provide a Cashiers check for a portion. I had given a deposit previously to book the appointment but was allowed to pay the deposit with a credit card. Not sure why a Cashiers check was required but I paid it (this will be important later)I was able to find a residence earlier than I initially planned for. My things were going to be stored until March. I called to schedule my things to be delivered on 11/27 (again I had to deal with a window for scheduling but in this instance it did work out)However a few days prior I called the office to get an accurate total for what was due when my things were to be delivered. I was told the drivers will have your total. Why would you wait to give someone the total and what if the amount is wrong? Well of course the total was wrong when they showed up and by $1500, which was the Cashiers Check I paid when they picked up my things. So not sure why there was no record of this. If I couldnt come up with proof, they drivers were going to leave without giving me my things. After many frantic phone calls and stressful filled 45 minutes, it was resolved. Now I will say the guys who delivered my things were helpful and assembled my things and helped place furniture where I needed them to. However, when they were finished there were things that were not on the truck. They noted that my sofa cushions were missing. And after they left and I began going through things I was missing other things. I called the office to follow up and was told to fill out a complaint on the website. The website was incomplete in helping to resolve the issues. Also, I received another customers box. So if the box count was off, that would make sense why Im missing some things. I tried to help identify the contents of the persons stuff I have and no one has gotten back to me regarding that. So if you have taken the time to read this very long review....if you dont want your things missing and want the best in service with you already stressful move, I would suggest you do not use Glass City Movers in Toledo Ohio.Ive moved out of state on a few occasions and those movers utilized a process of labeling with numbers/stickers on your boxes/furniture. That should have been a red flag and I will know in the future to inquire about the labeling process to avoid things missing and not being able to help identify.

2022-02-10We called multiple companies locally in Toledo and after talking with John in the office we decided to go with Glass City Movers. The crew arrived at 9am and loaded up both trucks by 1pm. When they arrived at the new home the crew covered the floors and the door jams before moving anything off the truck. (We appreciated that). The unload went smooth and the trucks were empty by 5pm. The guys went above and beyond for us moving pieces on 3 different floors in the house. The move was flawless..I would highly recommend this company.

2021-11-02Kane and Charles are the best! They packed us at our old home, and then unpacked us at our new one. They worked in the rain at the start and then in the cold at the end. They handled our furniture as if it was their own. Every item arrived in perfect condition and was placed exactly where needed, even when I had them move something around they remain pleasant and courteous. I would recommend that you ask for this first rate team to move you!!Thanks Kane and Charles if you are in the area stop by so Lou can show off his garage to you!

2022-07-11I gave five stars for Juan and David. If I could give ten stars that’s what they would get.I need to say that when I scheduled my move, the person who answered the phone scheduled my move without asking the appropriate questions that are needed to assess the manpower needed for the job. I thought it was too short a conversation but I was overwhelmed with everything that goes along with buying a house and moving, so a short conversation on the phone was superb. I was relieved to have my move scheduled.So with that said, when Juan and David arrived, they knew this was a job for 4 men, rather than two. They handled it professionally. They got to work.I am someone who loves quality furniture so it’s HEAVY. It was a very big job. It took them 6 long hours with minimal breaks and let me tell you they busted their a**es to get the job done. They even managed to be friendly while they were doing it! They never disparaged their company or acted angry the way some employees do.I really just can’t say enough about the professional way the situation was handled and how hard these guys worked. If I owned my own company, I would be proud to have them representing my business.When you’re moving you expect there to be some damage somewhere and in the course of the move, a box spring accidentally hit the wall. That left a good sized hole in the wall but David came out the next day on HIS day off, to fix it. My rowing machine was a little bit damaged and I have no doubt that Juan will take time out to fix it. It really was my fault, not his and he even sustained a minor injury from it but no show of anger, only apologies.I highly recommend this company. I would hire them again.

2022-01-17Did a really good job with both pick up and drop off. Movers were all professional and took really good care of our stuff. A mirror broke but one of the movers came right out and informed us of it and what specific steps we should take to get compensated for it (even though it was cheap and we didn’t care). Only regret was booking through a broker, Trinity relocation services, who were terrible.

The movers themselves were efficient in loading, as well as unloading. They placed all furniture and boxes in designated rooms and were mindful to not bump or scratch anything! 2022-05-25Nicole was prompt in answer my questions throughout the moving process. Cane was my mover with the truck and the dude is an all star. Personable and hard worker, there was not a scratch or dent on any wall. During unload Cane and Aiden were very positive and receptive to were we wanted our items to go and be assembled. I appreciate all of their hard work during the stressful moving process.

2022-06-10I just had Tim and TJ arrive to pack up my furniture for my move out of state and they were absolutely fantastic!! They took exception care for all of my heavy and fragile pieces. They were fast and efficient, you couldnt ask for better. I will certainly be requesting them for future moves.

2022-07-08I booked a local move with them and called to make sure it was still happening and they never wrote it down. So I’m moving myself now. Absolute professionals here, obviously.Edit: oh but it absolutely was. I called on 5/20 and booked it for today between 9-11am. You literally told me it was booked. You dropped the ball.
