Always clean and usually everything is in stock. Fairly pricey for all out grocery shopping though. Sales are pretty good! Every employee I have ever interacted with was extremely nice and helpful. Definitely recommend to others.
I dont shop here regularly but I did sign up for a Giant eagle card and now it wont register and I had a cart full of groceries and couldnt purchase it because I did not have my card,

Giant eagle has always been a place, where you can find condiments of any type of food that you are wanting to prepare. They have a special section and a variety of items that will assist you in cooking inventive meals. Any item that youre looking for in order to cook an international recipe, look no further! This store has a very good variety of professionally cut choices of meat. The seafood department is awesome! They also have a good variety of seafood that you can choose from. Always a pleasure to go in there.
Everyone is so friendly here and I love the layout of the store. I can always find just what I am looking for. Today, I was looking for Advent calendars and I found two different designs where you open the door and there is a piece of chocolate inside. The calendars are only $2 each. I left happy.

Today I was not allowed to have someone check me out and was required to self checkout because I am unable to wear a mask. This has never been an issue anywhere I have shopped. I told the cashier I have a medical note my doctor did provide me in case I ever found myself in a situation such as this (I havent yet) and would glady present it. He told me it didnt matter and I had to self check out. I was polite and so was he. He did offer to come bag my groceries and I declined, at that point I was holding back tears of embarrassment. Normally I curbside at another store to avoid the situations but today that wasnt an option and this store does not offer curbside. What I found upsetting was at self checkout when I required teamate assistance the clerk had zero hesitation entering my space and getting within 12 inches of my face. I have always shopped exclusively at GE but will not be returning.
It was good. I ran in there for Chocolate Marshmallow ice cream and they have several brands. Whereas, the other grocery if they carry it its only one brand. They are a little more expensive than the other stores.
I like it that its not real crowded like Krogers and Walmart in Myers. But I cant afford a lot of their food because its more expensive. So I dont go very often. But Ive had good luck when I do go its a very nice place and I do feel safe there with the pandemic .

Service is great but the prices are high on a lot of things. Love the sea food department. I really like the 5 for 19.99 meat selection. The pack sizes are perfect for two people. Always friendly people and they were quick to open another register when the lines got more than just a couple people in them. As usual a good experience. Good job!

FIRST Time GOTTA GET the layout And they need to check the produce and fruits because we got peaches that had mold on th.oem VERY disappointing. I WILL be going BACK but I buy ALOT of fruits and raw produce
Pharmacy always friendly and helpful. Store always clean and attractive. Can nearly always find what you need price may not always be the best but fuel perks are great and if you shop smart with coupons you will find they are competitive and last but not least you are already picking up prescriptions why go anywhere else,??😀

I like shopping at Giant Eagle. The store is clean, staff is friendly. They carry some products other stores dont too. The produce is always fresh. Bakery has very good bake goods. Prices are the same as other stores. All said and done its a good place to shop.
It has fallen so far in the last few years. Once they changed the perks and tried to convince people that it was an improvement, everything seemed to just go down hill. The prices are still incredibly high, they got rid of the child care, the bakery and deli no longer carry the same variety of products, they did away with the credit card without notifying holders, expired products are frequently on the shelves, and Ive dealt with rude employees repeatedly.Its really sad, because this used to be the favored store for my friends and myself. :(
Finally a store that actually has the freshest produce and they carry products that no-one else has. Cleanest place in lancaster to shop by far. The best thing is that they dont mark up prices and then call it a sale.
If you are wanting to get diesel make sure you block a half hour out of your day. Terrible slow pumps. You’re better off driving 5 min down the road to speedway. The extra ten minute round trip will still be much faster than filling up here.
I love Giant Eagle. They have a great meat department as well as a great produce section. Having a liquor store within the store is a plus. They seem to have many items that other stores do not stock. The Lancaster, Ohio location is clean and a pleasure to shop in. I would love to have one closer as the Lancaster store is about 30 minutes from where I live and that is the closest location.
I Love this Store! Sparkling Clean, perfectly organized, always stocked, a friendly helpful staff, and a Stellar Pharmacy! My experience has always been gratifyingly fulfilled. The gas perks are pretty cool too! Got a dirty car? I take my Cadi SUV through, and no problems! I highly recommend Giant Eagle ❤
Expensive and poorly maintained. After they changed their fuel perks a few years ago there stopped being any good reason to go here besides the liquor store.
As always clean well stocked great selection, however add pricing and shelf pricing confusing especially beverages advertised as 3 for $5 rang as $1.99 with adjustment on other areas of receipt. Additionally item marked discontinued with a price but look alike are different items on less than 12 inch shelf space. Brand and labels the same as well as appearance but item names different using 1/4 letters. I have to note gasoline price best in the area.
This place is overpriced. The quality of the meat is not much better than Save-A-Lot. Their house brand stuff is much more expensive than Kroger. The only good thing about this place is the birthday cakes, the staff of the Huntington inside, and that they employ special needs people. Even with couponing in a sales flyer there is nothing value-added at this place. This is just a polished up Big Bear.
Good products and store is always clean. Never enough cashiers, but I guess thats the same everywhere. I used to shop at Giant Eagle every day but have since switched to Kroger. Giant Eagle cut fuel perks by 50% trying to sell it as a better deal, but its not. The fuel perks is the only thing that made their overpriced food worth it.
Wow! Even the liquor store was open. Everyone was so nice!
Variety has went down since opening, they keep shrinking the store and the products they offer. The hot food is non existent anymore and they close so early! I work second shift so I only make it there on my rare days off. I used to like it, I fear they will be gone in a few years.

$avings galore and so many choices at Giant Eagle. In February 2020 I saved $150.00 in one month and that is not counting the points I have accumulated for more savings towards fuel perks or % off my grocery bill. The store is ALWAYS super clean.
Although the store is large and easy to navigate, the prices are absolutely horrible compared to Kroger. I dont know why anyone would shop here on a regular basis unless you have money to burn or simply hate crowds.
Some employees need retrained. This one employee every time she does my lottery ticket she gets it wrong, I have to point it out and have her redo my ticket. Here is the thing. I pick my own numbers and she says she will just buy the ticket she messed up on. From now on I will request she not be allowed to wait on me. Once is a mistake, but she has done this to me 3 times.
Giant Eagle has everything. Fantastic wine selection. Everything here is top quality. Go to giant eagle next trip. Kroger is crowded, aldi is limited, wal mart doesnt have variety, just give it a try and I think youll be pleasantly surprised.

We love our Giant Eagle so many different varities and options. Great sales every week which is wonderful when buying food for a diabetic. Pharmacy staff are very knowledgeable and we love the fuel peeks.Floor staff treat ya like family expecially Brad hes akways fetting carts in lot or if hes in store sats hi uf kniws your regular customer and offers to help everyone.

They have cut some things out of the store. The cold bar for cranberry salad ham salad etc, has been removed from the deli section. Everything seems to be scattered in the layout of the store. I do believe they could make the bakery, deli, and seafood area bigger and size down the cheese section
A lot of there food was more expensive than Kroger but their meat I trust more it was clean and had a good variety of stuff and there was no rude workers all in all great store not great prices but you find prices up and down everywhere
I really like the grocery, but I dont like the fact that they rely so heavily on the self-check outs now. Its extremely difficult to do with two kids and a cart full of groceries. PLEASE hire some cashiers. As a result, I only shop here when I have no other alternative.
Clean store with wide aisles. Lots of displays set up throughout makes shopping fun! Quieter atmosphere. And Harvest themed items and Halloween candy is in!

Been in several times lately after 8p.m. practically had the store to myself, yet when I needed help someone was right there. I love shopping without the crowds and this store is really nice after the evening rush.

Giant Eagle is a grocery store that the old saying goes, if they dont have it ; you dont need it. This store has just about everything you could want or need. Theres a liquor store inside the store, a great selection of wines, great selection of fruits and vegetables, plus a floral department in addition to the huge grocery selection.
This Giant Eagle is much larger than the one I was using in Columbus before moving to the Lancaster area. Learning it is going to be a challenge but will be worth it.
Going down in selection of things I used to go buy there. I wonder if its in response to the Kroger being new.Their prices are clearly 3o-40% higher to make sure that you are paying for that free gas.

Friendly staff....floral department lady is AWESOME!!!....would be nice if they had all of thier gluten-free items in one place instead of strewn throughout the store...store is very clean...even the parking lot is always clean and carts arent left all over the lot...

Its a pretty large store and first time shoppers may have a hard time finding things. Prices are also on the high side. One big plus is that the state liquor store is located inside this Giant Eagle.
Quality of the store has fallen since its opening several years ago. Sushi is awful, mashed paste and fake crab thats no longer made fresh, hot foods counter is a pale shadow of its former self, cheese counter is nearly nonexistent.
Outstanding selection for Lancaster OH of international food. I got mixes for tabouleh and they carry a limited but better than most grocery stores selection of European, Mediterranean, Indian and Asian foods. Their produce is pretty good, and great seafood selection. Meat is expensive but worth it when on special. Love when they have BOGO.

Great seafood and friendly people, a great point program for discount food and gas. Good prepare food to take home for a quick dinner. They have great birthday cakes.

Whats to say? Lancaster has way too many grocery stores, Giant Eagle is ok I suppose. Not bad, nothing excellent either. I feel like upper middle class to upper class people shop here. They wouldnt wanna be caught dead in Walmart across the street or something lol.
Very clean .My cashier Christopher was very rude to an elder in front of us , because the lady was as hard of hearing .Prices are pretty high , but their sales are good.
Only concern I have is that the deli and seafood and fresh meat was closed ..they were polite and courteous as always
Had sushi for lunch, ate it in my car after purchase. Still hours later I keep repeating it. Not happy, Ive drank a large Itea & it keeps repeating on me. Should have never ate it. The date was for Nov 2 sale by. Im just hopeful I will not get sick later.
Will never shop here again and will recommend others against it. The employees seem like theyre trained to be inconsiderate to customers.

Why in heavens name would you start closing the departments for the day before 5 pm. People dont get home from their day until that time working or not no wonder that store is doing poorly

Items priced double than at other places
The produce here is severely lacking when compared to Kroger or meijer. They just do not have the variety, or even the quality sometimes. This extends to the most department to some degree as well. Most everything else is comparable.
Had an odd smell at front door and around the store. Not to clean. Been there befor i was surprised.

I am Disgusted by the lying general and asst. Mgr management of Giant Eagle...They said that those nasty horrible metal plates that you were forced to walk on or drive over in a motorized cart, were put there so blind people wouldnt walk out into the parking lot and get killed because the blind were to stupid to realize that they (the blind) were outside in dangers way...so those nasty bumpy metal grates that were implanted in the concrete to remind the incompetent blind..visually challanged...to be careful as they walked out in the traffic flow as they walked to their cars ALONE to get in the drivers seat and blindly drive away.....And yes...on 3 different occasions I enquired of store MGMT. In LANCASTER Ohio about those stupid bumpy metal sidewalk grates...and one particular manager in the store LIED in such disrespectful detail. I have heard that this Lancaster Ohio store is closing....and for the nice employees..and some of the services..if that is true.. I am really sorry...But honestly...their prices are to high..and though their selections are great on many items...those products do not need to be priced as highly as they are... Lancaster Ohio is not a rich town...Lancaster is not able to keep the best stores and restaruants...and the big name restaurants and stores wont come here...Thankfully KROGERS has Built A GIANT NEW MEGA STORE just down the Block! Yeah!...An
Personally I think this is the best grocery store in town, but its sometimes pricey (You can 2 liters of coke or pepsi much cheaper just across the street at Walmart or anywhere else really), but what Giant Eagle may lack in the overall price department they certainly make up with their coupons and of course their fuelperks program. What makes this store better than most in Lancaster is that they have a wider, fresher variety of produce plus a full service deli, hot foods bar, sushi station, fancy cheese and oh might I mention, the ONLY state liquor agency in town.
Great place to shop (if youre a millionaire).I feel certain that the only way they stay open is because they possess a liquor license - the only one in Lancaster, Ohio.Wonder who they bribed in order to acquire it.

The selves were empty of meats. There was bread on the selves I bought two one for me and one for my mom..the man behind me took all the buns... So not necessary maybe 12 packs of 12. There was store brand milk.

Giant Eagle is not just a Grocery Store, they have a Pharmacy, State Liquor Store, that carries everything you need from a Nut & Bolt to a Nice Bottle of Wine, its worth the travel time.

2022-02-012nd time visitor to this store in Lancaster Ohio. I loved the idea how clean the store is. The shelves are in order and stocked. Wide open isles.Everything was easy to find. I watched The employees with other costumers. Friendly and ready to help.At the check out, I enjoyed the cashier ,pleasant and a good since of humor..for I like to joke 😀 hes able to work and talk at the same time ..to keep the line moving..I had questions on the perks card and he was helpful enough to answer my questions.I had a clean sanitized cart from the greater at the door when she welcomed me in.I will shop here more often now over the other choices of stores close by.Thank you Giant Eagle you made my day of shopping a lot easier.Thank you for having at least a couple cashiers because I really dont like self checkouts.Happy shopper from Amanda Ohio

2022-05-22Their fried chicken is delicious! If you havent tried it, you should. $7.99 for 8 pieces of chicken. Prices are a bit high on everything else. Employees are friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. Thanks & God bless. Be safe!

2022-04-29I have never witnessed such poor management and customer service in any other establishment. Store manager Beth, was extremely rude when a complaint was brought forward concerning the pharmacy staff. She literally told me as a customer to go to another pharmacy because she didn’t want to deal with the issue. 🙄

2021-12-09Fabulous frozen food, fruit veggies, best frozen section in town. Great baking goods, very nice drugstore area, wonderful hair barrettes, store generally clean, quiet, well-stocked. Also fabulous dried fruit/nut section. Great checkout system.

2022-01-04While I dont shop at this Giant Eagle supermarket often since I use the Pickerington market which is closer to where I live, the Giant Eagle brand is consistently high and the quality of fresh foods and quantity of durable, canned goods, etc. is appropriate for my household of two adults.

2021-12-29I and my wife went to Giant Eagle there in Lancaster,Ohio to pick up dry cleaning. It was around 7:30pm. The website said the store was open until 9 pm. Some other people had approached the counter so we approached the counter and asked about our item to be picked up. The Lady behind the counter was rude and abrupt that they were shut down.She needs to be trained on customer service and that you don’t get rude with the customers thats paying their paychecks.I don’t know how employees can treat people that way and get away with that kind of behavior. All my wife said in return was, that’s ok Thank you.
