Giant Eagle Supermarket in other cities:
Hands-down most inconvenient checkout procedure ever!!! You have to touch like 8000 buttons just get checked out…for 2 items!!! The food selection keeps me from giving it a one star. When Im going to a grocery store I want convenience. Its not fast or efficient. You cant do anything without their loyalty card. Not worth the effort. I avoid.
Prices are higher than nearby Kroger. Store is poorly managed. For example, the beer department had some outdated promotion posts and it was unclear if you would get those. The ad is confusing. Store ad says you would get 2x fuel perks but after you did the purchase, they told you it was online only. Called online 800 number, waited 40 minutes, and the guy was terribly rude. Transferred to this store but the manager would not answer your call. Will NOT shop any giant eagle anymore.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Cleanliness is above average. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Limited accessibility was well maintained and available at ever need for access. Customer care is attentive and thorough. Great selection and assortment. There is something for everyone including the petPrices are great on most items but be careful, check around. Dont assume its a deal. Service is very fast and efficient. The employees seem well trained and supposed by good leadership
Clean grocery, catering to the more upscale. The prepared food section is extensive and they have a seating area for eating. If you shop the deals and coupon, then you can get your groceries for a reasonable price, but generally speaking, they run a little more expensive than Kroger or Meijer. This location has an “Eagles Nest” area with babysitting for kids under 10 years old (closes at 6pm) and a Giant Eagle gas station across the street. I had a huge problem with a custom order cake, however, and they didn’t notify me of what was obviously a glaring issue with the photo cake so that I had time to go get a cake elsewhere. I waited there an hour while they cleaned the print heads of their machine (something they could have done when they saw there was something off with their printing) and come up with a slightly better version. This was already after I had spent 40 minutes earlier that week waiting to even place the cake order bc at 7pm on a Wednesday, not a single bakery employee could be found. They did end up giving me the cake for free, though when I went to the front desk to process the “payment” the CS clerk mentioned that it happens more frequently than one would expect and that he was constantly writing off the cakes.Similar to what another reviewer said, it’s hit or miss. Most of the employees are exceptionally nice and attentive, going the extra mile (including one bakery employee who went to find frosting samples for me to try when I was first contemplating placing an order). But then the others are clearly phoning it in. My star rating is a direct reflection of those particular employees failing me on a that very important occasion.
Bought items with credit card. I asked if the cashier if she can exchange a $20 bill and get me two $10 bills. They cant and referred me to the service desk. Get on another line and waiting. Market District food and folks are good, but simple task for front end sound unreasonable.
Went out of our way to go to this location to buy Bessys Homemade Noodles from the freezer section. Got home and noticed three of the six containers were expired. One was dated back to January 2018. Called to let them know and spoke to Jeff. Jeff stated he would order the same items and have them sent to our local store. It has been over two months and no one has contacted me. Ill be taking my receipt and containers into the store and getting my money back
The pharmacy at this store is horrible. three different times they gave me the wrong dosage for a prescription that I had. This even after they have a note in their system about it. The pharmacy technician that helped me this time and in the past is very short, rude, and never smiles. Horrible customer interface to say the least! and not a nice way to treat a customer! In addition they were supposed to call me when the shingles vaccine came in as I was supposedly on their waiting list and I never heard from them.
Mandating masks... not letting people shop. I will post everywhere and encourage a boycott. Some folks have difficulty breathing in masks, they are highly conflicted with how efficient they are... spikes occurred after mandate. BOYCOTT EVERY STORE Amish markets and Aldis seem to be not enforcing at all. Give them your business.
The restaurant quality lunches prepared before your eyes are delicious! My favorite is the Pad Thai cooked up by Andre, Derek, or Srilak. The pizza selection and handmade subs have great taste and good price. Although Im allergic to fish, the sushi looks fantastic. Friends say it is fresh and tastes great. The biggest thing about Giant Eagle, beyond its friendly people, is the quality of the meat. My wife tells me she may pay a just a little more for chicken, pork, or beef selections, but the taste is far better than the competition AND we get 3 meals out of a package as opposed to 1 1/2 from other stores. As far as the international section, there is a good selection of Chinese, Thai, and other Asian offerings. Finally, we love how fast the gas points add up! Truly, we have had multiple tanks of gas where weve paid less than 50% of the going rate. We love Giant Eagle, Perimeter Loop, Dublin, OH and encourage you to more than shop there, we encourage you to patronize this location.
The Giant Eagle is fine but I really want to express this 1 Star for your Starbucks and couldn’t find them individually to write a review. Since they are in your store you get this.Today at 1 pm my wife and I came in for Starbucks which we should have gone to a real a Starbucks establishment but your cashier was unpleasant. She showed zero interest in her being there. Not even a fake friendly or passable attempt at being humanly decent towards another individual. “What do you want” was her opening line and “what else do you want” followed. You should be embarrassed as an establishment to have this individual working in your building. To top it off, she writes my name from “Kurt” as “Craig”. After taking our orders, she immediately goes back to her interest of talking to her co-worker. We typically don’t care if you don’t want to be at work but faking human decency isn’t hard.We are thoroughly disgusted by this and hope that customer service is a priority in your building.
Terrible inventory. Today no Orange or Grape Crush cans, no Barqs Root Beer regular or Diet, no Simply Orange Mango, no large jars of Skippy Peanut Butter. This is not the first time these products have not been available. Not sure who is responsible for inventory but personnel changes need to be made.
This has been our go to store during COVID because the staff a d customers seem to be very respectful of polices, but today, our cashier had his fingers IN HIS NOSE seconds before starting to ring us up. We asked if he was ok, and he looked uncomfortable, and just shrugged, and continued to touch every single one of our groceries. I felt sick just watching, I wanted to tell him to forget it, just put everything back, but my partner was anxious to leave the store. I dont care if it was just allergies, he didnt use sanitizer or anything. Just finger in nose, finger on groceries. I am just so disgusted and honestly panicked about how to sanitize our groceries
Their produce department needs help the yellow kiwis. I was so excited they had were overripe and split open. The bananas were way to green to eat. Sometimes they are too yellow. Why does Giant Eagle have to close so early. I work retail too sometimes I am scheduled till 11pm. I feel like I am being punished. Then Im in a hurry to get my shopping done. Im letting you know youre loosing business to Kroger they usually the stuff I want. Kroger is also open & less expensive. I pretty much only get nail polish & bonne bell products at Giant Eagle. I will forever be a Bonne Bell girl. Also the Giant Eagle bakery is better too.
This is one of my favorite Giant Eagle stores. It got a great selection of fresh produce, healthy goods, frozen goods, bread, and the list goes on...They have a great cooked food section and have the best Pad Thai noodles in Columbus. They also have Pizza, Sushi, salad bar and a cooked foods section which has something for everyone.
My wife and I try to exclusively shop at Giant Eagle due to their great prices and excellent customer service. Today exemplifies why as I could not be happier with Jim, Ed, and Josh, for helping me out on a busy day! I voiced a concern and they stepped up and heard me and made sure that I was satisfied. Thank you!
As a Market District Giant Eagle, this place offers a lot more than your average grocery store. All the food they make in house is fresh and solid quality. Their meat and seafood space is one of the best in the area in terms of selection and freshness. Its a fun place to do your weekly shopping especially since you can walk around with a beer from their taproom. You can also buy fresh pizza dough from the pizzeria which is perfect for a homemade pizza night.
The store is clean, which is good. but dont expect too much when you ask for help...theyll send you on a trip....back & forth...back & forth... just tell me you dont know instead of telling me where you THINK something is. other than that... its what youd expect a grocery store to be.
This grocery is located on the southern side of Avery Road, just north of the super-highway part of Rt 33. It is one of Giant Eagles Market District stores - their biggest stores that offer more prepared foods for sale. The wine Dept at this store is pretty good because the wine steward John is very knowledgeable. Otherwise, this is just a grocery store. I would rate it as only a 3-star without John.
I called their customer service to get their hours because I needed stamps. Of course, I get the jaded remedial central Ohio republican woman with an attitude. All I first asked was if they sell stamps to confirm what a cashier told me the other night, she goes into santa claus and flags and.... Im like whatever, just want to confirm they sell them before asking their hours because it does not specifically say on the GE website what their hours are. I never got that far. She goes, We sell them at the customer service desk and at the registers. WRONG. I tell her Im specifically asking about the customer service desk because I in fact tried to buy them from one of their clerks at a register the other night but they said it was too late because CUSTOMER SERVICE was closed for the day. She goes Well, yyyyyeah because it was too late. UGH! OHIO!Thats why I didnt call a fff...ing cashier! They have to get the stamps from the CUSTOMER SERVICE desk, so in effect, only CUSTOMER SERVICE has the stamps!! Theyre not kept at the registers! ENGAGE BRAIN, THIRD WORLD OHIO WOMAN! How late is too late?? Depends on the CUSTOMER SERVICE hours....eh?! Brain working now?? So I threw her idiot attitude back at her and replied No shhhit, thats why Im calling YOU to get YOUR hours... She hangs up on me. Shove it, buckhead!
I came to order a hot chocolate, since it is near winter. I ordered it as kids temperature, which is a bit hot, but not too hot. The hot chocolate came over, and it was cold. The hot chocolate looked like poop. Afterwards, my stomach acted up, and I barfed. I definitely dont recommend this place.

2022-03-05Expensive but they do have the freshest vegetables, the highest quality meats, seafood and cheeses, and the best beer and liquor selection in Dublin Ohio.

2022-05-30Fish excellent. Meat also quality at a decent price. Vegetables good quality. Oysters wonderful. The only negative is the cheese. Dubliner 7 ounces at $3 more than WF! And the selection of quality cheeses is weak. Avoid the cheese and it’s a good store.

2022-04-14CHECK DATES. They consistently have old ( and sometimes expired ) stock improperly rotated. You have to check the dates on everything, every single time. This has been going on for years. I mistakenly bought mayo that was 4 months out of date and almost got sick. One bite and I knew it was off ruining a batch of chicken salad. We shop there for the fuel perks but constantly wonder if it is worth it.

2022-04-21Stop selling rotten and expired food! We are tired of spending hard earned money on expired stuff! It’s not fair. Then your cashiers give the side eye when the customer returns it! The nerve we have to spend a fortune in your expense store to have food go rotten or rotting. Bought milk yesterday (my fault) not seeing the expiration dateBUT you have the nerve to sell milk that expired the 4th. Enough is enough last night 66.00 and 5 things including slimy mini carrot sticks that were suppose to be in my daughters lunch. Waste I’m DONE

2018-03-03Theyre is so much to choose form. Went in for a bakery item and ended up touring the store and taking home several unplanned purchases. One of the nicest stores Ive visited. Variety of fresh foods was beyond belief.

2022-07-05Large grocery store with a wide selection. Good Deli counter, large beer and wine selection, State liquor store, and a good specialty cheese and meat selection.

2022-01-03Very friendly location. Produce is usually very fresh and stocked up. Great deals at this location, and workers seem to have a sense of urgency. I visited everyday for a week while delivering a baby across the street a little while ago. When they found out I was having a baby, they were extra helpful to me getting me things I needed and went above and beyond.

2022-07-07Why is the staff at this Dublin location so unfriendly?? Yikes, lighten up and offer a smile people. Starts with Management I guess.

2022-01-06High prices, poor selection, and the Curbside Pickup service is a bit of a joke. They are usually out of 50% of what I order. Managers seem to be on the rude side. I’ll go to Kroger from now on.

2021-09-23Love their selection of meats and the pick up is always on time and they are in contact with you as they shop. I love that they text you to ask if you need something else and if there is something out of stock! I drive about 30 mins to go here because the pick up services at the stores near me is really hit or miss.
