Giant Eagle Supermarket in other cities:
Its the last 20 min of the sale for chicken 1.49lb. I didnt get paid til today n couldnt leave til grankids were in bed.I get to checkout and chicken didnt ring up on sale. The sheriff Tammy Mckoy started to explain the new program as well as Craig Anderson. I had to download something and I almost was in tears. They stayed and made sure I was helped thru the entire process. Craig said he wouldnt leave until I got that price . And sheriff made sure I got out safely. I cant describe that whole experience !!! Im 53 and very old fashioned. It really brought me back to how ppl should always treat each other. Thank u Craig and tammy!!
A small location that provides just what you need, nothing more or less. Surprisingly expensive in some departments, though some great deals here and there if you look. Employees for the most part are nice, mostly sweet older people. Would be nice if they had multiple restroom locations rather than just one towards the very back. Not exactly a place Id recommend ladies going alone to during the evening hours.
The store is smaller and seems very outdated compared to the others. I stopped in to get something for lunch and chose the chipotle chicken salad from the deli area and a piece of carrot cake from the bakery. The chicken salad was not up to par at all. The chicken was grey and not fresh at all.( I took a picture of the piece I almost put in my mouth). I’m very displeased with this $6 purchase by itself. My total was $12. I ended up throwing the rest of it away. I was disgusted after that. The carrot cake was ok. Still frozen. Like everything in the deli and bakery area seemed to just be getting put out at 12pm on a Tuesday??
You cant be in a hurry! Its like a Mom & Pop store, everything is a bit slower. Not much of a variety of anything, not well stocked. Produce department sucks, no butcher. Deli is often closed. Very slow checkout. The only reason we go there are the fuel points. Without them I wouldnt set a food in the store.
After twenty years of shopping at this location (before it was a Giant Eagle) I m fuming! My wife spent $80 in a quick trip. A dark skinned middle aged women was followed throughout the store by a fat white sheriff. He should have stayed at the front door to stop shoplifters. Instead he opted to insult and stress my wife. With new people in the store -who dont know regular customers, it has become more rascist.
I know when things are busy it is hard to give great customer service but it is never right snap at a customer and then lie to them so he doesn’t have to see if they carry something or not.It is a clean store. Always well stocked. Prices are high but worst of all is their lack of customer support and care.
Not as much variety as the larger Giant Eagles, but generally I can find what I need. They have had a good meat selection during the shutdown and were one of the first grocery stores to have toilet paper, again, after the mad rush.Staff need to practice better face mask wearing. I have seen multiple staff personnel not wearing face masks while on the clock.
The pharmacy is never helpful. I have been coming here for three or four years because its so convenient to where I live. But they never try to go out of their way to help you they never notify me when I need a refill in my doctors office wont let them call and Ive talked to the pharmacist the head pharmacist before about issues I have there and shes more rude than anybody its like she doesnt want your business she could care less and shes just rude.
Always had friendly service and hardly.ever a wait. Main problem here. (Which is why they are closing a bunch of stores) is they they are always overpricing things. They never fooled me with the fuel perk deal...yes uou get a big deal on gas but when you add up how much extra you spend on groceries they profit more...
This location has been cutting back on variety of offerings for quite some time now. No longer cutting their own meats? Seafood section nearly gone, frozen seafood reduced to fish sticks and similar items. Frrsh produce reduced. Not a great store. Its not terrible, and they have a good price on leafy greens such as kale.
Although this location is not in the best neighborhood, the employees try to keep it as clean as they can. The inside is quite expansive. I dislike the corral style aisles up front, but I understand they do that to drive business towards buy-me items. They have a decent beer cooler too!
Im very surprised that stores like giant Eagle and krogers and whoever else stay in business with the skyrocket prices whether you like or hate Walmart they have 95% of the same thing for a lot less. And youre not enforcing the mask law right now you had ghetto in there with his mask down.
630pm on a Tuesday with 6 shoppers wanting to checkout and no cashier. Not enough room to use self checkout for a decent carload and machine keeps going down on every other scan. Cashiers always seem to close register as Im about to start checking out. The assistant manager there seems to berate the cart getters and is rude to the customers.
I went a few nights before Christmas about 30 minutes before they close. the lady cop this night was ridiculous. She was closing the produce area a half hour before closing. So I was unable to get any produce. She was then standing at the door telling everyone that entered they were about to close. Most people turned around and didnt even shop and they had plenty of time. She was just bad for business. That store is dead and seems like they cant afford to lose a sale. Beside the cop prices are sky high.
Have been shopping here for a few years but am moving soon. Called to see if I could take empty boxes used for stocking (something that was a common practice when I worked grocery and retail, also a good way to recycle boxes). On Thursday was told yes and to come in any time, when I got there they were not able to locate the person I had talked to, and didn’t have any boxes. One of the grocery people told me to come back early Saturday as he would save boxes for me.I did this but the person at the help desk didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and then came back with three egg boxes. Again, having worked in grocery I know that this is a small sliver of what would have been used for stocking. At best someone tried to save up boxes for me and they got thrown out and at worst they just sent me on a wild goose chase.I wish the store would improve its communication abilities or at least have a clear policy as it came to this. Pretty disappointed my time was wasted as I would have happily just taken a ‘No’ over the phone and saved myself the time and gas and will not be using this location in this future.
Employees were very helpful! But, i came home to find out that a few of our items were outdated! I have to pay a fare to get back and forth from there, so it wasnt even worth going back to exchange it... lost money due to not checking for outdates. Guess its a game to see who gets sick first?
Of all the grocery stores... absolutely the most expensive! If you dont have a shoppers card, dont plan on using self checkout as you cant proceed without one untill an employee scans theirs first. This can be fairly quick as in less than 1 minute, or at times, Ive waited longer than necessary and had to go hunt down an employee myself.
Worst giant eagle I have ever been to I thought giant eagles were typically clean nice and Pricey but this one is disgusting the Produce, Looked not safe to eat and looked like with an inspection they would get shut down. No mist, dried out, wilted and brown. I would definitely pass the store right up and go to Kroger if I were you
I went there to order a first birthday cake for my granddaughter. It was approx. 7:00 p.m. and the bakery was closed. However, the sign said On break - be right back. Very disappointing to not be able to order a cake. Now I have to rush and find another place to get a cake.
Thy cashirler Margaret make me feel. Bad went i ask for a back of ice she told my i has to get it my self with I understand but. She keeps tell me she dont get pay for service my so if any one really pay attention to this can do some changes for better costumer experience thanks
The Lincoln Village Giant Eagle has always provided me a positive and friendly shopping experience. My favorite early morning cashier is Glenda, and I also enjoy the banking available from the Huntington bank branch and ATM inside the store. Having Sheriff deputies on the premises makes for a secure feeling as well.
I like shopping there is giant Eagle But I havent That often that I can be Shopping there that much At all Like In a while though Either. But I Would of Can Be shopping there For A nother time Again too From Get some Other things To begin with from Knowing is what Kinds of some stuffs for What Im asking about For Though What everything I need in There to the store is Groceries At a giant Eagle stores. Now Thats what kind things From what Ever I Need For the most Is at the time in There is Groceries in There With giant Eagle stores for.
Went in today for an Asian candy my girlfriend wanted. I could not find then so I asked one stuff member if they had any and said i dont think so but let me ask i followed her and I think it was a manager that I spoke to and he said with a nasty attitudewe have never had those i literally asked twice, I even showed a picture of the candy. I went and found those candies. Worst customers service, they didnt eve bother on looking for them.Make sure you guys work on your customer service.
At 5pm on a Wednesday, I felt like I was running an obstacle course in the back isle. Shelving, pallets of food, advertising boxes of food all in the aisle that is not very wide to begin with, and an employee who was totally oblivious to ANY customer. He NEVER moved for ANY customer. Everyone had to navigate AROUND him. NOT the way to keep customers coming back.
02 22 18Drive-thru pharmacy lets people sit at the window for up to 30 minutes constantly 👎👎Pot pies do not have as much chicken in them as they used to 👎👎And I agree most of the officers at the door are not very helpful and theyre not very nice most of them are messing around on their phones or shooting the bull with somebodyAnd again Giant Eagle is the most expensive grocery store in Columbus I hate they ran big bear out of businessA year agoIts ok, expensive! and limited.Small store!
I went in to get coffee. I paid 1.20 ( have to pay first before you can get your coffee) for old cold coffee which I had to heat up in the microwave. I choose first, the french vanilla and just got hot water. The cappuccino selection, same thing. The area was messy. The microwave needed serious cleaning. I normally dont come in to get coffee but I was waiting on a friend and decided to get something. This Giant Eagle doesnt have a Starbucks (obviously or Id gone there) just skip the coffee here.
Cant use the self checkout without a card. Went thru the line, took forever since there was only one open, was asked for card told her didnt have one since I just moved here and would like one, didnt get a response on how to. She just rang up my two items and that was it.
If I could rate them 0 stars I would. Very poor customer service. I stood in line for 5 minutes at a register just for the cashier to close and YELL at me that I needed to go to another register. Also will have to stand at custome service counter even as first person in line for 7-12 minutes before ever being helped. Terrible customer service very rude
All of the people here are really nice but there is this one lady i cant remember her name as soon as i go back there i will post her name on here she is Amazing and very helpful and she gives you such a good vibe as soon as she sees you she makes me love shopping at this Giant Eagle

2022-03-07They never have any cashiers, i hate going through u scan. When there are people working, they arent. Just standing at the end of registers talking. Ive never been in a store like that. The people who work there are rude, no deli people. And rotisserie chickens are constantly half raw. On one visit a sherrif was running a register.

2022-04-15Fast pick up at the pharmacy in the drive thru . I dont shop grocerys here but went in to use customer service. I use a walker so I saw the handicap ridding cart was dead and charging up I asked one of the workers there if there was another cart available. Instead of helping me he just said there might be one available at the other end of the store. I am not able to walk the store this is why I asked for help he did not even bother to ask someone to help me if he was not able to leave his station. This boy needs customer service training

2022-01-29On 1/28/22, I stopped at the W. Broad St Giant Eagle in Columbus, OH. This was my first time at the store. I only stopped there because I was buying groceries for my sick sister who lives in the area. I did not see any cashiers, so I used the self service check out. I had groceries, a bear, and a balloon. I scanned the balloon and then hooked it to my pocket ( so it wouldnt fly away). I held the bear with the intention to scan it after I saw the total cost of groceries. At this point, I had not pulled anything out of my basket to scan. The associate comes over and tells me I need to scan the balloon and bear. I explain I already scanned the balloon and was waiting until the end to scan the bear. I didnt understand her approaching me and I really hadnt scanned anything yet, but the balloon. While scanning groceries, the same associate keeps coming over and telling me I didnt scan things, I KNOW I scanned. Around the fourth time, I frustratingly asked if something was wrong with the machine. She stated nothings wrong with my machine and told me that my arm was passing some detector on the conveyor belt. I suppose if your arm moves past the detector ( i was tossing things on the conveyor quickly) it would remove or maybe not calculate in things you scanned? I have NEVER been in a store that operates this way. There is no specific way you have to place things on a conveyor. I felt the associate could have nicely explained (and not assumed I knew) how the conveyor worked; instead she continued to state I wasnt scanning things, which was not true. Its equally frustrating because I had to ask to use her grocery card, because I didnt have one. That should have been a hint I dont shop giant eagle, but nope. At the end of scanning everything, the Sheriff then comes over and tells me AGAIN, I need to scan the balloon. I told her I already had. She then scrolls through the receipt on the machine to make sure I scanned it. She never apologizes once she sees it was scanned. I have never stolen in my life and Im certainly not risking charges for a $4.00 balloon. I felt completely harassed at this store. I assume if there is a Sheriff in a Giant Eagle its due to stealing in the area, which is not MY issue and burden. If Giant Eagle has that issue, It would make more sense to hire cashiers to scan the groceries, than to have 95% self service, and then harass customers. I believe the Sheriff and the store associate could have been more helpful and less accusatory in their approach. I will never go to this store again, but I wanted to make the store aware in case others have this experience. It doesnt help that Im a black woman and see in the reviews another black woman had a harassing experience.

2021-11-10I get my prescriptions there, rather quickly. They also offer Delivery for prescriptions if you live within 5 miles I believe, and call 1 day before. I like that they sell essential oils also. And Ethnic hair care, make-up, and unique food items that are hard for me to find at se other places. Their Fried chicken and hot meals are delicious. Ive used thier Fried Chicken for catering events. Their sheet cake is delicious too. Especially when you order it customized.

2022-06-16Decent selection, but high prices! Service is a struggle, if you are lucky to get it-most are that way, but not all-theres the struggle. I use this place as a convenience in a pinch. I shop for groceries elsewhere.ATTENTION Update from last post! GE has stepped it up. Service is great and the prices are somewhat competitive. Fuel points are slouch better. Regular customer. Much better!

2021-11-10This Giant Eagle is a small store with higher prices. If you are going in for weekly sale items, the trip can be beneficial. They have an excellent meat deptbut they no longer have a butcher to provide the cuts or meats youre shopping for. Bad decision in my opinion
