Amazing place… good food, so peaceful and esthetic relaxation… one of the best place… even tho we didn’t get a chance have a table, and was sitting on the grass next to the lake… it was even better, that much enjoying the nature and was feeling like no one else there…. Love it 😍😍😍😍
We were dining at the Bistro with some friends for our 15th wedding anniversary on Friday May 20th. The appetizer, the atmosphere and our waitress were wonderful. This was until a bowl of melted ice cream from another table was dropped on the floor. The melted ice cream (which we believed to be ice cream) splashed up into my hair, on the side of my face, all over my legs and dry clean only dress. Our waitress was quick to apologize, brought me a clean dry cloth napkin, and even helped to clean it out of my hair. We expected a manager to visit the table and offer to rectify the situation in some manner, but this never occurred. The whole situation made me feel very insignificant for a night that was suppose to be a special occasion. The food was delicious, but overall I feel that more should have been done (get me a wet napkin to clean off my legs or offer to pay for dry cleaning of my dress).
Wow what an experience, the bistro is such beautiful restaurant. The food was phenomenal. The server was very nice and ,explained everything so well. My wife and I had a beautiful time celebrating our 42 wedding anniversary.Casa is beautiful and second to none. Gervais a place everyone needs to experienceThank you muchDAN and Cathy Mauger
I would love to go at least once a week if I could. This place changes something in you. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. An area with fresh crisp air from the beautiful trees and nature with the smell of great Italian food fresh from the oven. The scenery made me feel like I was in a fairytale. Each building built in its own unique way and when go inside each of them they tell a different story. The wine tasting tour is very interesting and I learned certain foods match better depending on which wine you drink. The Bistro that use to be a barn is like a gigantic room in a castle with the castle like chandeliers, wood tables and chairs, spiral stairs and natural wood everywhere…romantic to me. Last but not least great service and the food and wine is so very good it is worth the money. My favorite sweet red wine is Lucello and you know that I took a bottle home ❤️My husband had the Prime Strip Steak and he said it was seasoned so perfect and I had the Brown Sugar Chili Rubbed Salmon which was so delicious that I would love to eat it everyday. I took a picture of it. Sorry, I ate some before taking the picture but as you can see it still was a gorgeous plate. II gave a four star only because our wine glasses at the Bistro weren’t as clean as you’d think with spots all over them and my water glass had someone’s lip stick print on it which of course they switched it to a cleaner one.
We had our wedding here 11/01/2020. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Planning a wedding can be so stressful, but all our hiccups were taken care of in a timely manner. The tasting was amazing, Ive never been to a more organized tasting with such an abundance of food and wine. We also rented multiple villas and the farmhouse for the night before and night of the wedding. The farmhouse allowed me and my girls to have the best pre-wedding experience. This was during a peak of Covid, so the week of the wedding my grandma (who I was with a few days prior) tested positive for Covid. It was chaos because I was getting tested 4 days prior in a panic and did not receive my results until 2 days before. We contacted Gervasi immediately at the beginning of the week to let them know the situation and they were more than willing to allow us to cancel the wedding and reschedule if needed (luckily I came back negative). However, family who did test positive had already put money into villas and Gervasi allowed them to reschedule their stay at a later time within a year at no additional cost. The place itself is so beautiful and our guests had such an amazing night.
Our Villa, Dinner and our shuttle driver Christian amazing the only disappointment was breakfast in the Still House which was included. The breakfast calzone horrible, couldn’t even cut through it and the frittata was flavorless. They need to step up their breakfast service considering what you spend to stay the night.
We had such an amazing dinner at the wine paring event in the pavilion at Gervasi! The best food, wine and service that we could ever ask for! Brad Preston, the chef and the servers were so incredibly great!! Rolando played some great tunes and even allowed my hubby to sing a few Sinatra tunes. We LOVE everything Gervasi! ❤️🍷
Recently visited with friends. Absolutely a must visit. Very picturesque! We had lunch at the Crush House. It opens at 11:30am and we were there by 12pm, still had to wait close to 2hrs to get seated. So, would recommend to put your name in as soon as you get there. We had to kill time at the Still House and Marketplace. Service was good at both places. Food and drinks were amazing!
We recently celebrated our anniversary with a wine tour and dinner at The Bistro - both were fantastic! Service was a tad slow at dinner but nothing to ruin the evening. They gave us a free anniversary dessert and sat us at a roomy table. The food and drinks were amazing, and we cant wait to go back!
Gervasi is a beautiful restaurant and they are employers with the upmost integrity! I worked there as a hostess almost ten years ago and was always treated with kindness and well supported at work. The food is excellent. The facilities are immaculate. Even almost a decade ago they provided support and clean/comfortable spaces for pumping and nursing mamas. They have high standards for every aspect of their company and that includes for employee moral and care. It is still one of my favorite jobs I’ve ever had. So whether you choose to treat yourself to a delectable meal with excellent service and atmosphere or want a positive environment to work, thrive, grow, and build your career… I cannot recommend Gervasi enough. It was an honor to work there, and I very much enjoy going back to dine there whenever I am back in Ohio!
I updated my review. 3star was a mistake. Must have been done accidentally while viewing the map.A friend just had a wedding here. It was perfect! The food was incredible, and the staff were very helpful and very nice and super friendly. It feels like youve walked into a fairytale here.So many small details in the building and villas that are beautiful. Wine bottle chandelier, real wood displays, gas lights along the path, etc.(Special note to Gervasi : During dinner, the bldg with the watermill, I wanted to acknowledge two people for outstanding service. There was a girl with blue hair, and also a black guy, clearing tables. Well mannered, friendly, polite, etc.)
The property is relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside dining at the Crush House. Brady was awesome during our tastings. He was knowledgeable and attentive, making us feel like we had his undivided attention, even amid a busy day. We definitely will be making a return trip.
We stayed in one of the Villas for three nights to get away from the winter blues. Coming from Chicago, we were expecting Good, but we experienced Great! From the time we checked in to 3 days later checking out.... we experienced every one of the staff with great attitudes and a desire to attend to our needs. Our room in one of the villas was luxurious. The comfort of the bed, the fireplace, and the walk-in shower. The common gathering area inside the villa gave you space to not have to look at a microwave or coffee maker in your room, but yet closely accessible. The sitting area in our room gave us space to relax. Our first night dinner was at the Crush House. Our server was attentive. Mr. George, the operations manager stopped by our table to check on us. Enjoyed conversations about Chicago visits. My shrimp linguini and my wifes glazed salmon was perfectly prepared. We enjoyed a Gervasi label beer and wine. Our second day took us to the Pro Football Hall of Fame nearby and a couple of local wineries.. then we had reservations at the Bistro for 7pm. We were attended by Savannah who gave us recommendations.... the pork chop and the short ribs paired with a medium red Gervasi wine. This meal was amazing. After dinner we stopped at the Still House to do a wine tasting served by Mike the bartender. We stayed for another drink and to listen to live music. We sat at the high tops and our server, Luara, was impeccable. Being it was winter and we would normally be in the Caymans this time of year, I requested an umbrella drink and Laura said she would see what she could do (there were no tropic drinks on the menu). Laura brought me a great Island Drink... I felt I was on the beach, even if the glass was missing the umbrella. She later told us she grew up in the Caribbean. The music was a solo singer playing requests. A great finish to our day.Our third day took us touring and later that evening we decided to return to the Still House for appetizers and drinks. Lulu was our server and also attentive. Live music tonight were songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, taking requests. If you are looking for a Midwest Gem with great accommodations and excellent restaurants on site... this is it. We will return in the summertime to experience more of the outdoors.
I love Gervasi! I’m just disappointed in their menu change. They’re bread before was so good & their seafood chittara was to die for but they changed them both. Still love gervasi just disappointed they changed some things. Those two things were what I went for! Thank you :)
Amazing! The property/buildings are gorgeous. The rooms in the Casa are beautiful and the attention to detail was impressive. The food in the Bistro was wonderful....best ever. We also dined and had drinks at the other restaurants and they were great too. The staff was polite and friendly. Cant say enough about how great Gervasi is! This was out first time going and we will be returning every year!
The Piazza is absolutely wonderful! You feel like you are far away, it is so relaxing. Our dinner and drinks were delicious. The server, River, was very conscientious and knowledgeable. The live music brings a festive atmosphere. The manager, Lucas, did a great job checking on our table. The grounds and pond are kept up beautifully. We will be back!!
I wish I could give more stars than five. If you are thinking about coming here don’t just GO. My experience was BEYOND wonderful. The food was excellent at the bistro highly recommend. Our waiter Dan was kind, attentive and informative. The wine is amazing and the drinks are strong. They have live music in the still house which has a intimate setting. If you want to look at the gorgeous grounds while listening to live music then the piazza is for you. Overall I had a amazing time and can not wait to come back.
Immaculate experience. The service was tremendous, and the staff was very friendly and happy to provide suggestions. Great food. The wine is good, a bit sweet. The layout is tremendous- this is properly a destination. Wish there more signs up front that indicated exactly where was what, rather than having those said signs being later down the road. I feel like most just park at the first lot they see and walk in- only to discover its an entire complex that you can drive all the way throughout. It also is a bit vague about what is what, would be great to have a directory at the front that gave a quick synopsis about each location. Also a bummer that the Villas are a two night minimum, or would have stayed on property. All in all, still a five star experience.
Ate at The Crush House on Mother’s Day. Had a reservation and the place was pretty crowded so waited a little beyond our reservation time, a little wait was expected. Food was delicious! I ordered the pork chops. Some of the best I’ve had and the drinks were pretty good too! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Can’t wait to return while in the Canton area again.
Beautiful grounds! They have grape vines but its not really a winery that we saw. We were told there was a long wait for the two areas that allow wine tasting- three 2 Oz pours for $9.00. In the main outdoor seating area its 1oz pour for $2-$3. No winery tours like you expect from a winery. Food prices are high. $10.00 wine slush, although tasty.
Such a beautiful place to not only relax at, but also to dine at. Even if you don’t enjoy wine, there are just so many other options to choose from! Definitely a must visit especially if you’re not from around canton! I often recommend coming here to my friends and family from Canada and outside the state.
Had the pleasure of spending 3 days here with my husband and we enjoyed every bit of our time. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, the staff very friendly and attentive (had a small issue that was taken care of very quickly), food was absolutely amazing and very good unique drinks as well and although service was great everywhere we dined, Nate service at the Bistro was hands down one of the best Ive had in a while, he was patient, suggestive and very knowledgeable and honest about menu items and just had good character. Again service was great at The Crush House and Still House as well, never had to ask for anything because the servers were on it. This place is very peaceful and has great vibes, cant wait to come back. Also bought some wine to bring home along with $500 worth of items from the Market Place lol. I have already referred another couple.
Love this place!I love the food. I love the staff.I’m super dissatisfied today though because of the awful stench of sewage at the piazza we are trying to eat at.This is a very high class place that has always been very good about keeping up with things but it is very hard to eat and drink while this smell overpowers my senses.A staff member tried to tell me that it was the fountain but I’ve smelled this smell at cheap bars in the past and that’s one of the disappointing points. If it was as simple as the fountain and turning it off didn’t fix the problem, I know the grounds or maintenance staff are more than capable of draining it and flushing it with bleach quickly and quickly eliminating the issue.I’ll be back but not at the Piazza until the smell is fixed sadly.
I usually enjoy my experiences at Gervasi but had a bad experience. Had family from a good distance away make the drive to celebrate one of their birthdays. We were completely let down. We were sat outside of normal seating from the piazza like we were outside looking in. They were not able to accommodate us to sit anywhere else. Once the sun went down we couldnt see our food or anything. Our server didnt check on us at all. We ordered 3 appetizers that didnt make it before our food which came almost an hour after ordering. Than our appetizers where put in with th kitchen once the sever was finally aware. People who sat way after us were eating their food way before us. Seems like the staff is constantly turning over lately and service is getting worse. Our relatives were sorely disappointed in what we had told them was a wonderful place. I hope gervasi can turn it around as bad experiences are bound to happen but they seem to be picking up.
From the moment you turn into the Gervasi Vineyard you feel as if you are in an Italian countryside. You are treated to a beautiful display of architecture, two lovely vineyards and the most amazing villa that you can imagine. Guest services are top notch as you are treated like royalty. I was not sure what to expect and was even a little aprehensive that I would not belong in such a lush and gorgeous place as I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, but I never felt that at all. In fact, I felt like I was family. The villa is not only extraordinarily beautiful, but the bed was simply put, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. My husband and I are already planning our next trip!!
We stayed at the Casa for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary which allowed us the opportunity to experience all of the dining options. There was not a single experience that was okay, every single experience was exceptional. The service reps in every experience were phenomenal! I have never felt so relaxed. We give this experience a 10+! We can’t wait to return.
A great place to relax and take it easy after a long week. Great music and offerings , you wont go wrong at the Bistro outside weather permitting or a reservation at the Main Restaurant. Great to have friends join you at the Distillery for a cigar or great gathering for friends to unwind
Yesterday I had a surprise Birthday dinner planned for my daughter with my granddaughter and a couple of my daughters close friends at the Bistro. We had 4:30 reservations with plans for her friends to be at table to surprise her. They would not seat them until exact 4:30 so they were waiting outside when we arrived. When seated we ordered a bottle if wine and appetizers. Took forever for wine to arrive. The appetizer was a meat and cheese tray with crusty bread. There were 5 of us and just a few pieces of bread. We requested more and never received it. We ordered our meals during appetizers and it did come in decent time. We requested Parmesan cheese and never received that. Would loved to have had more wine but waitress never approached the table again. It was not that busy....this was to celebrate a special Birthday but it certainly didn’t feel that way with the disappointment in service at this restaurant! We definitely will not return ! 👎
Its SO Sad & Absurd that You make your Employees still wear masks,-the virus is more weak than tha flu, AND Humans are NOT Meant To BREATHE IN THeir own toxins,-THee Owner should DO some Research,-& not just watch msnbc, & bow down.,,,-Yer either Livin in Love,-Or Living in fear. ---Ciao
We celebrated our 30th anniversary here after having to cancel our original planned trip to Napa Valley due to Covid. We wanted a place in the Midwest we could drive to and spend a couple days. Gervasi was spectacular. The service and the amenities were top notch!! We stayed in The Casa and it was beautiful. The staff was so friendly and of course the food and wine were amazing. We cant wait to return!
Late lunch on The Piazza, beautiful. I have been to each of the restaurants on the property and this is the first time the food was disappointing; as was the service. I have been anxious to try the platter. It was far below the standards that are set by the other restaurants. The beef was tough, the rice was cold and the rest just OK.
Spent the day here and visited all three dining options and the marketplace. Each employee we interacted with was nicer and more accommodating than the last. The Christmas carolers were so good, great wine, amazing food and above all amazing service. Nicole and the manager at the Bistro and in particular, but also the woman we spoke to prior to our visit spent over 30 minutes telling us about the property and what to expect. So happy with our visit.
This was our first time visiting Gervasi and most definitely will not be the last. Susan was very helpful, as this was a very last minute getaway, and she was able to assist us with booking a massage and dinner at The Bistro. We had a fantastic dinner at The Bistro and went to the Still House for drinks and live music. Both places were great and the service was outstanding! We will definitely be back!
Loved It! Wish Covid was not a issue because I am quite sure Gervasi had way more to offer. We stayed at the Villa Suite and the pictures online didnt do any justice. It was so clean and beautiful and no complaints at all. The staff everywhere(Reservations online, Still House check in, Bistro, Crush House) was so very friendly, pleasant, helpful, understanding and I bet they had smiles underneath their masks. Yesterday and today the weather was amazing for March so that made the scenery more enjoyable. The food was great and cocktails and Dolce Sera wine was so good. As I was leaving, I was booking next stay for May. Cant wait to come back
Wonderful place to just have appetizers on the piazza, Tuesday evenings you can bring your dog. Or dine in the restaurant at the Crush House or inside the Bistro, a beautiful refurbished barn. Food is excellent at any of these places, service is just as good and you cant beat the view or the wine.
The atmosphere and design of the property are gorgeous. We have stayed overnight several times and always enjoy ourselves. However since turning vegan I found my recent stay really very frustrating. No menu items at any of the restaurants are marked as vegan, and I had to ask for changes. None of the wines are marked as vegan, and when I asked, they either didnt know which options were made with a vegan process or all used animals products and didnt want to say so. I was told the vinting process changes from year to year, and they couldnt make any promises.
We found this place, purely by accident and were we glad we did! We stayed in one of the Villas and it was beautiful. Impeccably decorated in the Tuscan style. We had wine and truffles waiting for us when we arrived, a very nice touch. Our view was stunning to say the least. Another special touch was breakfast delivered every morning! We toured the winery, ate at the restaurants and strolled through the grounds, we lacked for nothing. If you want to spend a romantic weekend in Italy this is the place to go!
We spent an entire day at the vineyard and rented a villa suite. It was all very nice, we spent time at the crush house, the cigar room, the bistro. Rooms made you feel like you were at a Tuscany getaway and not in Canton Ohio. The grounds were beautiful. Food and drinks and wine was all good. It all was really nice and peaceful.
My husband and I stayed in a villa here last year and we had an amazing time.It was beautiful and perfect for a date night. We just ate lunch here this week (9/27/20) on the patio with the family and we loved the food and we had great service. My kids actually ate everything in front of them, thats a first. We highly recommend!
Booked this as a birthday getaway for my super better half and me. As i was a little late to the game, couldn’t find a weekend reservation, so decided just to stay Sun-Tues. That meant not quite everything was open (Piazza and Marketplace), but it also meant a lot fewer people! The property is meticulously manicured, and somewhat shocking when you see the entrance smack dab in a residential area. Once you’re through the gateway, you truly have a feeling of being separated from the rest of the world in the BEST ways possible.Check-in was very easy and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a villa room, and while yes it’s “pricey” it’s very well-worth it! The villas have four rooms that share a common space with tables, sofa, fireplace, and patio. Our king suite was, how to say it politely, FARGING AWESOME! Loved the attention to details throughout, including heated floors and luxurious decor. Bed was super comfy. Actually slept for 8 hours straight for the first time in a bazillion years. Continental breakfast is delivered at a time YOU choose, and is much better than the typical stale bagel and banana. We were able to dine at the Bistro and Crush House. Service and food were both outstanding. I’ve seen some reviews knocking the food, and maybe we aren’t picky, but we both loved everything! Servers were friendly and engaging, and the pricing was well-within reason in my humble opinion. We loved our stay so much we are looking forward to returning and renting an entire villa to share with friends! This is a great little escape that isn’t far from home!
This is one of my favorite restaurants We came here for our anniversary food is great awesome atmosphere great staff I only had one request and that was we do not wish to sit on top I would rather be on bottom where the beautiful views are but seems like nobody received the message…..😂 Good eats Good times!!
We came here for a fun night out during a bachelorette party and had the best time, literally where here for like 6 hours. The vineyard itself is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around exploring and taking photos. Then the food and drink were spectacular. We went to the Crush House for wine tasting and appetizers. Then we explored the gift shop waiting around for dinner at the Bistro. Most people would pop up to the upstairs area while waiting for a table but we just stayed up there on the couches and had a cozy setting and enjoyed ourselves. Probably one of the best meals Ive ever had from the main meal to dessert and drinks the entire experience was fabulous. Cant wait to come back next time Im in the area.
Great place to stay and eat and drink. Our room at the Villas was incredible. Wine and cheese tray waited for us as we checked in. The fridge is well stocked with a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. Breakfast is delivered to your room and on time. And it was yummy. Short walks to everything on the grounds. Ate dinner at the Bistro and it was the best. We got dessert and they put a Happy Anniversary message on the dish. As expensive as this place can be to stay, it was well worth the money spent. Hard to imagine this is in Canton. You really do feel like you are somewhere else.
Absolutely Amazing!!!The Host was gracious and courteous !Even checked on me twice during my meal .. I ate at the Piazza ...the food was fabulous!!! My waitress ( Ashley) was sweet , effeciant , and attentive , making for such a lovely evening. And if it couldnt get any Better ..the had live Music !!!! ( an incredibly talented local Artist @NickBonnermusic)I would have given it more stars if I could!!
For this to be an anniversary surprise from my wife it was an phenomenal one!!!the grounds here are so beautiful and the people here are so nice.we dont normally get that type of hospitality when we got to places like this!!! No words can explain how good the food and the drinks/wine was here!! Everywhere we went to either drink or eat was just breathtakingly awesome..i will recommend this place to each and every person I know!!!thank you for making my wifes and I 12th anniversary one to remember!!!
We went for a single night and stayed at the villas. Very nice rooms. We had a cheese and meat board and wine tasting at crush house and had dinner with friends at the bistro. We are early risers, so the next morning we walked around the grounds. There is not much to do before noon, and I think anything more than a weekend would be boring. The villas have four rooms that each have their own fireplace, and they share a common eating area and outdoor patio. This would be great for a family reunion or a relaxed weekend with adult friends. Saw some kids here and there, probably associated with a wedding but otherwise not a great place to bring little ones.
Would not recommend “reserving” a table at the Piazza. $300, for the only tables without umbrellas, so far in the back you can’t hear the music. Not sure what the point of a reservation is if you’re going to be stuck with the worst table in the pace. The “meat and cheese” platter app looked like someone opened a bunch of food straight from Giant Eagle and dumped into a basket, huge cheese blocks, full pieces of salami.
Never experienced first hand but have heard nothing but great thing about all you have to offer . I have lived in Canton all my life and even drove past and still didn’t know it was there . Can’t wait to see for myself! Parents were regulars but went by themselves. I will be visiting very soon!
Everything about this place was fantastic! The food was delicious and large portions. The wine was delicious. The ambiance of the place is unheard of in NE Ohio. When you go, ask for Tiff as your waitress, she will not disappoint. She knows her stuff regarding the food, wine, and history of the vineyards. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.
Gervasi offers a nice getaway in the city. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, weve had to cancel several trips planned for 2020, but Gervasi offered us a nice alternative close to home if even for a brief respite. The grounds and accommodations are amazing. The food was quite excellent, too, with the scallops appetizer being our favorite. The experience can get rather pricey, but you get excellent service and goods for your spend. Lastly, Id like to say that the wine is quite good. Normally, Ohio wine leaves a lot to be desired, usually trying to cater to sweet dessert wines, but the few we tried were all very good. I dont know if they are all grown and processed locally or not.
We used to love coming to Gervasi... we even had our son’s wedding here years ago. Our most recent dining experience was disappointing. What left the worst taste in our mouth was a conversation we overheard. The food at Gervasi is apparently not the high quality they try and pass it off as. I overheard one of the servers talking with others trying to decide what to eat and the one server said don’t get anything here the food is disgusting; everything is cooked in soybean oil.My wife and I have been going to Gervasi for years and each experience makes us question more and more the business is getting to big to be as great as it used to be.
We had our wedding at the Conservatory and reception at the Cantino di Vino room at the Bistro last month. We spent the weekend at The Casa. We visited The Still House and The Crush House, with every place being a bit different, all very welcoming. The accommodations were beautiful, with a great view. The continental breakfast was anything but... it was a made to order breakfast, which was terrific everyday. The staff was receptive to any requests in a timely manner. Everyone was helpful, friendly and pleasant on every step of our stay. Our guests raved about the property and the luncheon. I highly recommend Gervasi for both special occasions and any time you want to get away. We cant wait to go back!!
The food is delicious and the manager passes through every half hour or so. The only reason it is not 5 stars is due to the waitress. She was forgetful and disappeared after bringing coffee. 25 minutes later we asked for the check feeling we could not wait any longer to order dessert. Too bad since we were here for our anniversary and looked forward to sharing dessert.
We went there for dinner last night with friends and even with the social distancing and 12 groups ahead of us, we still got seated quickly. We stop in their shop and look at wines and other drinks and the clothes that they have. The food was amazing and the entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for just a nice night out or a great spot for getting married or other formal event.
We stayed in a Villa to celebrate our Anniversary, the room was nice. Was not cleaned to a standard I would have expected. There was what appeared to be mold in the shower, cobwebs in the lamps and dirt in corners. We also ate at both the Crush House and Bistro. They were very nice. Decent service and food. Personally I would not travel the 3 plus hours to stay with Gervasi again. After having been in contact with the Hotel Manager Jeff, I feel it important to edit my review. In all fairness to Gervasi our concerns were not expressed to the staff until the review was written. Jeff went above and beyond to address our issues. I would like to thank Jeff for personally speaking to my wife and I.
I went to order a beer from the outside bar and seen no taps or a beer list so I just decided to make it quick and simple and order a budweiser. The bartender looked at me like I was some sort of peasant and told me that the only beer they have that I would of heard of before is Miller light. I will not be returning to a place where the staff talk down to you.
Very nice restaurant. Ate on the patio, there was good live music. I like the casual relaxed environment of the patio, and the food and wine are great as well! I got the Italian panini which was very well done, and we had a pitcher of their sangria which I really enjoyed. Paying up front seems odd at first but then you realize you dont have to awkwardly sit around waiting for a check, you can get up and walk around the beautiful grounds right after you are done eating.
This place is beautiful. I would put the food at a 7-8 out of 10. The environment at 10 out of 10 (my wife and I have been to the Bistro, Crushouse, Piazza, Still House, and stayed in a Villa) Still House is a great bar with a cigar patio if you are into that. The drinks are fantastic and snacks are good, they typically have live music and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The Bistros food is good but not outstanding, but is also priced accordingly. I actually like the food at the Crush House more. The brown butter gnocchi is fantastic. On a nice day a trip out on the Piazza is wonderful, you can grab a bite walk the grounds, play bocce, sit by the lake and enjoy some Amarone. Just be prepared to wait during rush times. I have always had good service at all of the different venues at Gervasi and will continue to go here for many years to come.
We had a wonderful overnight stay at the villas at Gervasi Vineyard. Before booking the reservation, we reviewed the photos & information online, but still, we wondered about a vineyard in a residential area in Ohio. We were pleasantly surprised by the immaculately-kept grounds. In 2018 we took a Mediterranean cruise & as an excursion from the ship, we went to a Tuscan winery. The grounds & buildings at Gervasi were just as beautiful as in Tuscany!! We cant wait to return & stay longer next time.
Highly recommend Gervasi Vineyard for a getaway from the cities (Columbus or Cleveland). My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and cannot stop raving about the FANTASTIC SERVICE we received from each and every employee. They each go above and beyond to ensure you are well taken care of. We stayed in The Casa and it was very clean and roomy. We received complementary truffles and champagne in our room too! We enjoyed learning about and trying new wines, walking around the beautiful, quiet premises, and time around the outdoor gas fireplace over looking the pond. The FOOD WAS WONDERFUL! We had goat cheese ravioli, beef gnocchi, and a rib eye steak over our days. We will definitely be back in a few months and cannot wait to bring our family and friends with! Thank you Gervasi Vineyards for the terrific stay!
My wife and I visited gervasi again and its been well over a year since weve been there since the pandemic. I want to recommend the pasta Bolognese! It was not only the best Bolognese that Ive ever had, it may be the best pasta dish that I have ever had. Bravo! We also had the wine that was aged in their bourbon barrels and it was an awesome pick!
This is a 5 star winery/vineyard, period. Food and wine are top notch, as is the quality of the location and building infrastructure. Any reviews less than 5 stars and any complaints need to be taken with a grain of salt. Is it expensive? Yes. High quality food and wine tends to be expensive yet worth every penny. This isnt Olive Garden and its not boxed wine. Is it very busy? Yes. Usually people flock to a location for good reason. Every member of the staff my group had contact with was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My party of 5 did not have reservations at the Bistro. We were led upstairs to a beautiful loft where we were given 5 star service, relaxed on couches, and could here ourselves talk, much to our preference. Will we come back? Absolutely!
We went to Gervasi Bistro for our wedding anniversary, and while everything was good, I wasnt wowed. Maybe I have heard too many people say how great this place is-- Im not even sure what I expected, but it was just okay. I was glad to see that most patrons were appropriately dressed -- no jeans and t-shirts. We had excellent service, the food was good (although portions are small) but the noise level was very high. We had a corner table -- would have preferred a window table but maybe you need to specify that when you make reservations -- and we had to talk louder just to hear each other. It isnt the most expensive place in Canton, but if you get the whole deal (cocktails, appetizer, entrees, and dessert, it will come to $100-120, before tip, for two. We probably wont go back. We like to try new places and save the more expensive ones for special occasions, and only repeat if the experience was exceptional. The Bistro at Gervasi was not exceptional.
We drove half an hour for our family dinner google says they was open til 10 pm. We made it here at 8:05 but there they say they closed at 8pm. How is this big business couldn’t make there site right? You should fix it so the ppls don’t wait there time. Used to be our favorite restaurant but after this We never go back again
Great experience we had a great time the wine was good. The staff were great they all had great attitudes, no one was rude or looked like they didn’t want anyone to ask them any questions. Food was great wine was good even with all this Covid stuff. Will be back for sure
I love love love the shop at this vineyard. I came directly after work, looking a little frightening and Im still treated well. The ladies that work at the shop are friendly eager to help. Personally I come for the vodka but theres so many great gifts and treats. Really a jewel in northeast Ohio.
Our corporate executives held our annual 2-day strategy meeting at Gervasis. We could not have chosen a better place. I was assigned an event coordinator to assist me in planning the event. The communication from the hotel manager, restaurant managers, and event coordinator provided full confidence that the entire 2 days were completely in hand. The meeting room was perfect size and met all our media needs. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to please. We even had a fun exercise for our executives that we named, The Ultimate Gervasi Treasure Hunt. Everyone from the groundskeepers, Marketplace, Welcome Center, Casa, Still House and Crush House played a role in helping me and my event coordinator plan this fun game, where we hid bottles with clues all over the estate with a big trunk full of treasure from the Marketplace for the winning team. Our dining experience while at Gervasi was like none other. We had continental breakfast waiting for us in our meeting room. At lunch, we walked across the parking lot to the Crush House, where we had a separate room prepared for us both days. The manager and waitress gave top-notch service and had us in and out within an hour. The food variety met everyones desires and was delicious. We chose to have dessert served back in our meeting room and it was divine. We dined at The Bistro that evening, sitting by the huge fireplace in the most beautiful setting. We had a nice slow dinner, great service, and wonderful conversation. The rooms received rave reviews from our executives, who travel frequently. We had rented 2 Villas and 2 rooms at the Casa. It was exactly what was needed after a long day of strategic thinking and running all over the estate for 2 hours finding clues. A lovely fireplace to kick back and catch up on emails to prepare for the next day. We sank into our incredibly comfortable beds and awoke to a spa like experience in or bathrooms. Then a knock at the door brought a smile to our faces as this incredible breakfast was served in the most unique way. Of course, the Gervasi k-cups got the morning going perfectly to head back to our last day of the meeting.Overall, Gervasi was the perfect setting for our strategic meeting. So much so, the executives have already requested we hold our annual event there every year. Bravo Gervasi and thank you for helping me plan the perfect experience!
I ate on a Sunday evening in January 2019. Food was really good. I had lamb with potatoes and vegetables and it was very delicious. Crab rolls for appetizers, but I thought just two small rolls was too little for the price, even though they tasted great. Two people had an appetizer, dinners, two glasses of wine each and the total was $90 before tip. In my opinion, for the type of restaurant it is, the price was very reasonable. Add in the taste of the food served with atmosphere and it could have cost more and been acceptable.
My husband and I visited Gervasi to celebrate Father’s Day and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. We had the pierogi appetizer, scallops & gnocchi and a lobster tail fettuccine entree. Several flights of very good wine (and left with a bottle). There was a downpour as we were waiting for our food and several patrons sitting outside came in, slowing down the Bistro kitchen. Because we had to wait a little longer than usual for our meal, we were offered complimentary dessert — which was also superb! Will definitely return!
We love Gervasis. The grounds are breathtaking and well taken care of. Staff is always friendly. We ate at The Crush House for the first time and loved it. Appetizers and main dishes were delicious! We enjoy walking around the grounds and sitting by the lake. We plan on visiting on a regular basis!
We had our wedding at Gervasi back in June and it was an absolute dream come true! Our coordinators were extremely helpful and were attentive to every detail of our big day! If/when there was an issue or something unexpected happened, the staff worked quickly to correct it. Stacey and Brit (our coordinators) worked tirelessly to ensure that our questions were answered and demonstrated exceptional patience and professionalism. We would most definitely recommend having a wedding here! Our guests even talked about how spectacular the food and wine was! We look forward to coming back to visit! Thank you Gervasi!
Today was our 2nd time visiting the Crush House and we had a very positive experience both times. Our waiter was exceptional and very knowledgable. I live in Columbus, and the value and quality of the food are very much in line with similar establishments. We also enjoyed tasting some of the wine which was very good.
Always picture perfect. Gervasi feels like youre in another country. You can get a coffee for under $3 at the Stillhouse or spend as much as you want at one of the restaurants. On Sundays they have a nice dinner special at the main restaurant, lots of live music, and lots of events during the year. Cute place to get married or take family photos. Theres a park trail that winds through the grounds where lots of people walk or bike, you can bring your dog around as long as you keep it outside and clean up
Anna D was awesome, I have a dairy allergy and she made me feel normal for once at a restaurant with a food allergy. I highly recommend asking for her when you come In. Our food was delicious but she made our experience even better by how attentive and awesome she was.
Chose Gervasi Vineyard to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday. Every detail with this place is top notch. So happy we chose to stay here. The food is amazing, the service is what you would expect from an higher scale experience. The rooms, the grounds....everything is just beautiful. I really can not say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely visit again when the weather is warmer so we can take advantage of the grounds.
Very beautiful place & great experience! However, the food was not very pleasurable and too expensive. If it was prepared well I would not have minded the high prices, but our food was under seasoned and cold. Our waiter, Brad was very nice, personable, and helpful however. I can’t rave enough about him! Over all, we still enjoyed our experience and the wine. We will probably be back for wine and to tour...just most likely won’t be back for the food!
We booked the night and dinner for a quick getaway. While there we did a flight of everything they had over the course of the night. The wine was expensive for the quality, the spirits were not a high quality and the beer was good but they did not brew them. The staff was amazing and the room was great. The food was ok, it was not the wow we were expecting from what was supposed to be an upscale establishment. Over all it was over priced for what you get.
The estate was impressive. We like the way all the building was constructed. Our room was impeccable and comfortable. Alcohol and food were excellent. The hospitalities were eminence. The only thing I couldnt gave a high score was breakfast. The choice was quite limited otherwise this place could be perfect for us.
Beautiful and amazing. The woman at check in gave explicit details and information about everything you need to know. Service, ambiance and food was excellent both at the Crush House and the Bistro. Everyone that works here seems to really enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend this place whether it be a quick over night getaway or just a day trip for an amazing meal!!!!!
My husband and I came for the pairings tour. We very much enjoyed the pairings portion, and the tour was informative. I think we had both hoped for a chance to see the more of the vineyard during the tour, but still enjoyed it and purchased two of the wines from the tasting. Absolutely beautiful property, and we look forward to coming back and checking out the new additions planned for next year.
This is one outstanding property. It has so many fabulous buildings from Villas to restaurants to a hotel and rental property for weddings and convention center. The property is so scenic and so beautifully maintained. If you have seen it once you will return to see it many times.
Do not stay in the Gervasi Villas! The other guests are extremely loud, rude, and disrespectful during quiet times. The guests take over the common area and do not follow the rules when one is getting a massage when there is a sign on the door. The manager Frank does nothing to resolve the situation. Extremely disappointed after spending $1200 for a weekend of hell.
It took a long time to get seated which was expected due to the holiday weekend but once we were seated we were left alone for 45 minutes before we grabbed a hostess to go find our server. Food was fair; my pannini was burnt on one side and the meat and cheese platter contained American cheeses.
My wife and I stayed two nights at the Casa. It was a beautiful place with a lot to do, everything within walking distance. Great service, waiters and waitresses remembered our names and even what we ordered from the previous days. Its definitely worth a 2 to 4 night stay! You wont be disappointed!!Even with the Covid-19 restrictions, they did fantastic. All staff kept masks on, hand sanitizer available everywhere, and it was the cleanest place Ive been in a while.Service and experience rivaled that of Disney World.
What a fantastic 👏 location! We had a great birthday dinner here. Started at the Still house for drinks. Then off to the outdoor wine area. Then to the bistro for dinner. Then back to the Still house. What an amazing night. Beautiful property. Great food. Highly recommend!
Beautiful place overall. We spent the weekend there celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday. Service was good. Grounds are beautiful, rooms are very nice as well. The Still House was amazing - great service, atmosphere and selection. The Bistro was ok, good menu, but not prepared so well. The one thing I didn’t like, we stayed at Villa Portofino, room 201 and the little rug in the front of the fireplace was so dirty, probably haven’t been vacuumed in months. Dropped my pen under the bed, when I went to get it, underneath was full with garbage- confetti, etc. The tissue holder in bathroom was very dusty. As I said great rooms and amenities, but if I am paying close to $400 a night I would expect at least a vacuum room
Great place for wine and delicious foods. Came here on the occasion of our anniversary. Service was excellent . I forgot name of waiter but still remembering word “absolutely “ spoken by him. Me and wife just counted about 24 times within 2 hours of our stay, funny huh....😁😁. We ordered more than we need and requested to pack the last cooked item. We kept our pack on the table and went upstairs to take photos inside it . Within 5 minutes came down and asked with lady waiter about our item left on the table. She said item was trashed . We became surprised 😳😳and she asked to make new food item for us within 10 minutes. We wanted to enjoy for the food in next day as well and said yes. We took some photos outside building. Within 3 minutes our item was ready again. Realized item was not trashed but was kept aside because it was untasted food for us. We were in big surprise now, why they lie on us? 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜. Anyway memorable moment for us.
I was here for a wedding last minute and I thought the property was beautiful. I would love to be here in the fall right before the harvest. I didnt taste any of the wine, but I thought the catered food they served was excellent. The bocce courts and swans in the lake are a real classy touch. Would definitely come back if I lived in the area. Probably a great date spot.
I visited Gervasi with a tourism group. Lunch was catered by Gervasi and tasted wonderful! Choice of wraps, plus chips, salad and drinks. After our meeting, we were offered a tour of the grounds! Incredible. The villas were spotless with incredible amenities. A shared living room and dining, with 4 beautiful bedroom with fire places off the shared common area. We were escorted around the property and into the restaurants and winery areas. Scott was very gracious with his tine.
A great place to visit in North Canton that is somewhat hidden. Its hard to imagine that a wine vineyard exists amongst all of the homes. The property is vast with plenty of parking and offers great places to go if youre celebrating a special occasion. Its also nice to grab a bite of pizza to enjoy on the lake or dine in at the Crush House. The food is excellent! The Bistro also offers fantastic dining options. The chefs constantly come up with deliciously creative meals.
The most perfect wedding venue in the heart of Canton! As a wedding photographer, I love coming to Gervasi for engagement sessions and photographing weddings here is my absolute favorite. Not many venues provide so many beautiful photo locations. Its so easy to create dreamy photos here - from vineyards to the European architecture and the famous weeping willows. Oh and the food is amazing! Also the perfect place for a little getaway or to celebrate a special occasion.
We ate at the Crush House and had excellent service and a wonderful meal. I highly recommend the Beef Gnocchi. Its hard to believe the location, because once you are on the property it feels like you are miles away from anything else. The architecture and interior design of the buildings are just another treat for your senses.
This place is incredible. Got married here 2+ years ago and it was one of the greatest decisions we have ever made. The location is beautiful and the food is good. We have been back multiple times since and have always had a great time. There are shops, multiple restaurants of different styles, bocce, corn hole, a beautiful lake to sit next to, wine to taste, etc. A great place to go for an afternoon or to get married!
Josh and I celebrated our wedding at Gervasi Vineyard on 9/2/17 in the Pavilion. We stayed in the Villas at Gervasi. Everything was absolutely perfect! Our wedding and events leading up to the wedding were exactly as we hoped and dreamed. The staff was amazing, helpful, and so nice. The staff worked to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Our wedding coordinator was Stacey and was awesome at ensuring all of our questions were answered and she was extremely easy to communicate with. She was super helpful and guided us throughout the entire process. Gervasi was absolutely beautiful. I could not have imagine our perfect day anywhere else. Gervasi and the staff working with our wedding surpassed every expectation. We will definitely be back to celebrate anniversaries and staying overnight in the villas! Gervasi and staff, thank you so much for ensuring our day was absolutely perfect!
Our baby shower in the Villa Grande was perfect. The staff was waiting to help us when we arrived, and they were professional, respectful and helpful thru the whole party. The food was excellent, the room was beautiful, and everybody had a wonderful time. A big thank you to Gervasi for our family.
Really enjoyed dinner there. Service was fantastic with the server explaining everything on the menu very well and helped us choose some great options. The food itself was great also. Specifically we were in the bistro and the setting was very nice also. Highly recommend especially if your thinking of dinner for something special.
We had our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner in the Cantino Di Vino room at Gervasi Vineyard in September 2018. The family style food menu was amazing, the wines were excellent, and the room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and super accommodating throughout the evening. The grounds are beautiful and our guests enjoyed exploring them prior to dinner. We highly recommend the venue!
Celebrating our daughters birthday...her choice of where to go. She wanted to do distillery tour and that was almost shot down but, Frank got them in. THANK YOU FRANK! We had a total of 15 eating at the Piazzo and it was very delicious and all had a good time. It was great to have kids menu too.
This is a beautiful location. We were just there for dinner but out friends pointed out some of its features before we ate. A wedding reception was in full swing, people were playing Bocce ball, lights were glowing & we could hear ducks quietly quacking.Go see how gorgeous this restaurant is! Fabulous food options and wonderful wait staff. If were ever back in Ohio I hope to return.
We had dinner at The bistro in celebration of graduation. We were a larger party and they put us in a room in the lower level of the restaurant. The waitress was very helpful. The food and drinks were good, but expensive. Staff brought all the graduates some ice cream on a fancy plate. All in all it was a good experience!
Weve been here a couple times before (pre-Covid). Tonight was for their bourbon release/tasting. Food & bourbon were delicious and tables were set up outside under the pavilion with couples spaced 6 apart. It was our first dining venture in months, and we felt comfortable and taken care of.
Words cant summarize how awesome this place is. The food, the wine, the grounds, spectacular. We have eaten in the bistro multiple times and its always amazing. Get a glass of barolo and the file or short ribs. If you love seafood, the sea bass is incredible. Prices are very fair for level of quality and presentation.
We have been remiss. In this time of so much uncertainty while staying at home trying to find, yet, one more drawer to clean, we realized that we never wrote a review for Gervasi Vineyard for our daughter’s wedding. If you live in Canton, Ohio, you know what a rare jewel this company is for our community. Restaurants: The Bistro and the Piazza, The Crush House, Twisted Olive. And for overnight stays: The Still House and The Villas and The Casa.We had looked at destination wedding venues, and places in Cleveland, but we kept going back to our own backyard: where Anna wanted to be married from the get-go. On August 31st of last year, our daughter was married, and we had the reception at Gervasi Vineyard Pavilion. In a word, it was “magical!” We made the point to look over everything at the entrance of the Pavilion before our guests arrived as we wanted to remember that moment. And we did. Everything was just so beautiful as we stood there with a breeze coming off the expansive pond on what could have been a sweltering day, but instead, it was glorious. The food was warm and delicious and the wines were wonderful! It is an amazing venue to have for any kind of event, but to have it for our daughter’s wedding was a dream come true.Every employee that assisted with this wedding was exemplary: from Scott Swaldo, who answered every one of my emails and couldn’t have been more receptive or accommodating, to Susan Monteleone ( who is one of my favorite people-ever-and one of the hardest working), to Brit Stenger, our event coordinator, who was open to doing anything and everything to make Anna’s day incredible. Everyone of the staff was amazing: from the waiters, to the maid service who accommodated us in The Villas. And The Villas- lest, I forget! They were a great decision: staying there and walking to and from The Pavilion was perfect; also gorgeous and convenient for our family! We have gone to all five establishments many times over throughout the years, and every visit has been a great experience: from eating outside on the veranda at The Crush House and Piazza, to enjoying a fabulous upscale dinner at The Bistro, to going to The Still House for the most delectable libations and coffees to the Twisted Olive for a more casual, but just as special meal. And speaking of Twisted Olive: the day before Gov. DeWine closed down Ohio, we went there for dinner: walked to our seats and a member of the staff sanitized our menus, our seats and our table. We were so glad to know that Gervasi was so conscientious with their patrons’ safety. Little did we know that Gervasi would be closed the very next day along with everywhere else in Ohio. We have had many take-out dinners over these many weeks from the Gervasi restaurants, and the food and delivery has been warm, delicious and expedient. We were not surprised. And now they are making hand sanitizer that we were too slow to move on: they sold out immediately! Not having these wonderful restaurants open has made us realize even more how very lucky we are to have them in our community! We are not alone in saying that we cannot wait until you open your doors again.BRAVO GERVASI!!!!Katie and Paul Miller
Went to a wedding reception on 10/13, it was absolutely amazing, well organized, awesome food, and staff was second to none! I`m from another state, but when I visit Ohio again, this will be my first choice for dinner! Highly recommended. Perfect location for a wedding reception!
Had drinks at the new Still House. Its a beautiful location and the general feel is much different than any other venue in the Gervasi family. The service was wonderful. Was a little disappointed in my drink so Ill have to try a different one next time. Im looking forward to trying it in the morning for breakfast and coffee.
Keep seeing pictures and keep saying , Ill get there soon. Today was the day! It was all I envisioned it would be. The staff were all so friendly at every place we stopped in at. The villas by the lake were absolutely gorgeous. We did the vineyard tour and the distillery your. The host were very knowledgeable. My husband had the beer samples and I had the sweet white wine samples. Loved all three but Moscato was my favorite! Next time I plan on staying the night, relaxing and having dinner with a bottle! Thanks for creating this gorgeous winery!
They would have got a higher review however, when we went to pay their credit card machine was down so they had to write the bill out on a piece of paper . We had a party of eight so the gratuity was already added in the bill. I paid for four people and my bill totaled $160.00 without drinks due to another member of the group purchasing the wine for everyone. We left the restaurant at 6:30 pm and I got a phone call at 10:45 pm from Gervasi stating that they had miscalculated my bill and that it was supposed to be $42.00 more. I find this to be very petty being that the error was their fault. Most restaurants would eat the mistake being that it was on their part. I will not be returning to Gervasi , any restuarant worth their weight would not call a customer with THEIR mistake. Especially since I didn’t receive an itemized bill AND had to write out all of my payment information on a slip of paper! Extremely unprofessional! It’s a beautiful place but unfortunately they lack tact! To be fair our server was phenomenal and I would hate for him to be responsible for the mistake. If that’s the case, then I understand and have no issue with him. However, I’m surprised management would not tell him to let it go being that their electronic payment system had been down and paying was a bit confusing.
What a beautiful place for a wedding. Stayed in the Villas for two nights, and those were beautiful as well w/comfortable beds and great common areas with in the villas. Everything for my cousins wedding was amazing and all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food, especially at the wedding reception, was wonderful.
My husband and I loved our overnight stay at the Villas at Gervasi and our anniversary dinner at the Bistro. The Christmas decorations at the Bistro were breathtaking, and the food and wine, and the service was outstanding. The Villas were gorgeous. We had but one complaint - the soundproofing in the Villas was nonexistent. We heard every word of every conversation taking place in the common room just outside our bedroom. Our fellow guests were friendly and nice, but voices carry...
An amazing gem in Ohio! Great place for a weekend get away. Had a wonderful day enjoying their beautiful grounds while trying great wines & good food for their Fall Crawl. Many amenities to enjoy on the grounds. Only recommendation would be that they offer guests bike rentals for an added bonus to enjoy the scenic bike path that runs through part of the property.
Went to the Bistro without reservations, on a Saturday night. To our surprise, we were seated at a first come/first serve table almost immediately. The service was amazing, food was phenomenal, the wine was outstanding. By far the best place we could have picked for an impromptu date night.
Cant say enough good things about this winery. We went for our first time today and will definitely be back. We ate at the Crush House where the food was delicious and the wait staff was excellent. Everyone that we came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone for the good food, excellent service and great wine. Cant wait to go again.
Just returned from the crush house, went with friends, very disappointed in the menu. The food was ok, a bowl of basically orzo with very little meat or vegtables , my husband had a bowl that was to have N sausage and shrimp, not so much. My friend and I had wine, ok if you want to spend $l.05 an ounce. The water had hardly any ice, a joke for the small amount of wine. We experienced the crush house and will not be going again. I did not write this review have no idea how my name got on this I never had any of the food mentioned in this review ! As far as I know this is a great place to eat I just saw this as I was looking for a winery to visit!
I have been to Gervasi several times and have always had amazing experiences. The atmosphere and attention to detail is second to none. I was there this weekend for the 720 Market and it was perfect! Between the awesome variety of vendors, delicious food options and gorgeous scenery it made for a fabulous day with friends!
My wife and I came to the Piazza looking for a casual lunch and were not disappointed. Service was prompt and friendly, and when we asked for somewhere out of the direct sunlight they were able to find us a table in the shade. Prices were also very reasonable, and the food wad quite good considering how fast they got it out to us.
Easiest five star review I can make. The food was incredible, the wine was excellent and the wait staff was tremendous as well. This is the best restaurant in Stark County. If youre from here or if youre visiting from out of town, I would highly recommend Gervasi. Great food, great staff and a beautiful decor.
Recently dined in the Bistro for our annual family Christmas outing and was very disappointed. We had reserved a specific table in the fall and arrived 15 minutes before our reservation. 45 minutes after our reservation time, we were able to be seated at the requested table. (Customer before us cashed out and were just sitting and chatting). My husband ordered the Marlin and asked that it be cooked medium. It came out partly medium, and the other part sushi. My mother ordered the pork chop and it came out more than just a little pink. Not to mention when we were there in August for my Mothers Birthday, she was served raw chicken picatta. That did it for us. They also might want to consider changing up their menu, and offer different entrees from time to time. The menu is getting boring. The decor is beautiful, but what good is that, when the food is less than mediocre.
Booked a King Luxury Suite at one of the Villas.. our stay was at the Villa Siena..We Loved it!! The room was very nice..The bed was very comfortable.. The ambiance with the fireplace, Italian style decor and the add - ons that were delivered to our room prior to our arrival.. made for a perfect anniversary stay.. We also reserved a table at the Bistro.. The food and our waitress were great!!.. Our stay ended with a quick bite at the Crush House.. Again food was great!! Would highly recommend a visit here.. will be visiting again
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This place is AMAZING!!! We booked a Villa King Suite and arrived a little early for check in. With some time to kill, we went to the Still House for a cup of coffee and roamed around admiring the charming decor and spirits that they had to offer. There is a cigar humidor on site with a separate little glass enclosed smoking room overlooking a terrace. There are ample nooks and crannies to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We went to the Crush House and treated ourselves to a wine sampling and appetizer (the risotto bites are wonderful ) while the manager gave us a brief history lesson about the property and owners. When we got to our Villa we entered a common area that is shared by three other rooms. Your key card gives you access to the Villa and your room. No detail was overlooked. There is a fireplace, dishes, silverware, wine and rock glasses, Keurig stocked with coffee and tea, cream and sugar. A refrigerator stocked with juices, water, and soda. All complimentary. Comfortable seating and a rustic dining/game table with ample seating. There’s a doorway that leads to a terrace with seating and tables. Trying to put our room into words would be a futile attempt on my part. I’m utterly speechless, but in a good way. These guys do it right.Thank you for the beautiful memories.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My husband and I got married on July 20th at Gervasi Vineyard. It was easily one of the most fantastic experiences ever. The venue was elegant and made for a fairy-tale wedding. The food service was excellent and many of the guests were satisfied by the level of service provided by the staff members. Kendyll was our wedding coordinator during this time; we acquainted in 2017 and she worked very closely with me during this year’s worth of preparation. We stayed in the villas for the day of and the day before the wedding, and they equally met up to a very high standard. The facility is well-maintained, very clean, and the staff members work hard to provide an excellent experience. I would 10/10 recommend everything that they provide here, ranging from dinner experience to overnight stays to an elegant wedding.
Gervasi Vineyard is a first class operation all the way. We go a couple of times each year with a group of friends to enjoy the restaurant, gift shop and the beautiful lake. The grounds are decorated for the holidays around Christmas. There are also villas by the lake for anyone who wants to stay overnight. This place is very popular, so make a reservation before going. The only downside for me is the menu. There is a limited selection for a meat and potatoes person like me and the prices are a bit high. That being said, I always find something I like and it is always very good. My friends are more adventurous eaters than me and always rave about their meals.
The atmosphere is great but the food on the patio is bad. Went yesterday ordered pizzas and chopped salad. The pizza tasted like it came out of a cheap frozen food box. It came undercooked and very greasy. I said no blue cheese on the chopped salad and it came with blue cheese. I returned it for cheddar and it came back no cheddar and a lot of greasy bacon on top with two tomatoes. The manager came over to offer free desert for the table and to apologize but we never saw her again. It’s too bad the food doesn’t match the atmosphere.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Gervasi last weekend and it turned out perfectly. Our wedding coordinator was tremendous. Food and drink was great, the villa we stayed in was beautiful and the service was fantastic. Luckily, we live only 20 minutes away so we will continue to frequent Gervasi.

2022-01-23Feels like a holiday! We came for lunch at the Bistro - a lovely barn style building with a wood fire pizza oven, a real fire place and charming staircase. Set next to a small lake the setting was charming. Our food was good - the menu had a wide variety of entrees. We skipped dessert and headed over to the Crush House - a bar that serves desserts. It’s a big bar with funky tables and little seating areas. It was lovely and had a good vibe. We enjoyed drinks from a creative drink menu. Then we walked the grounds. I believe the tow path connects through. The grounds are charming, very thoughtfully laid out to immerse you in an experience. We had a lovely afternoon ! Oh, and the gift shop is definitely with a visit!!

2022-05-30Excellent dinner with my wife on Sunday. I felt the food was declining over the years; the menu was kind of the same, however tonight we tried new dishes and were simply amazed by the flavors! The Million $ Devil Eggs are to die for and my steak was cooked to a perfect medium! Dessert was a pistachio cake (highly recommended!). Tara was our server and she was the best! Will for sure be coming back again!

2022-03-16We had an amazing 25th anniversary celebration for 3 days at this amazing winery. Exceeded all our expectations. From the food, the service, the room (Villa) to the wine! Very beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are gorgeous and we’d love to go back when everything is in full bloom.Must give a big shout out to Rita at the Still House who was a doll and gave us such great recommendations. She is by far one of the best waitresses we’ve had. She gave us great tips on the local town as well which we wish we had more time to go into Canton😘

2022-03-20I cannot say one bad thing about our entire stay. Customer service was top notch! We ate and drank at the Bistro, Still House and Crush House. Everything we ate was delicious! They spoil you with breakfast (amazing) delivered to your room. Everything is done in a very classy but not stuffy manner. I would go back today if I could!

2022-04-08Everything about the trip exceeded our expectations! The check-in process is a nice touch. Staff walk you through the layout of the grounds and information about the property, as well as select your breakfast options. The grounds are beautiful, with paved walking trails connecting all the different buildings. Walking from one side of the property to the other takes about 5-7 minutes, so nothing overwhelming. We had a Casa room, which was absolutely delightful. Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. Huge kudos to the housekeeping staff. I am, admittedly, a clean freak and the cleanliness of the rooms, and entire property, exceeded even my standards! We sampled all three eateries, the Still House (breakfast), the Crush House (dinner), and the Bistro (dinner), as well as room service for breakfast. All the food was delicious, but the Bistro was the meal we raved about. The service we encountered throughout our stay was top notch. Everyone was friendly and eager to make the stay more enjoyable. I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Gervasi Vineyard, and am already looking forward to when we can return again!

2022-05-18I cannot say enough good things about Gervasi Vineyard. My husband and I got married in The Conservatory and had a private dinner for our guests at The Crush House. The event planning staff and catering staff were all fantastic to work with and made the whole process seamless. If you are looking to get married at Gervasi, I totally recommend it. Our wedding was truly a dream come true. The food, wine, and dessert were fantastic. I highly recommend the gelato cake. Thank you Gervasi for this amazing experience!

Great drinks, wines beers and their own brand of spirits they distill on premises! John L., the manager, is a great guy keeping the Still House operation running on all Cylinders keeping everyone happy! The entire Gervais complex seems amazing and hrs to believe it’s right in the middle of Canton. World class place!

2022-07-04This is a magnificent venue. My wife and I spent the entire day here. Had a nice bottle of Riesling by the lake; Cocktails and cigars at the Sin Room (the Still House Bar is beautiful); then dinner on the Piazza--good food and live music. Zach is an excellent server.

2022-06-09The atmosphere was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We went early on a Saturday and it wasnt too crowded. The service was very slow. Everytime we ordered a drink it about 20 to 30 minutes. Food was good but also took a long time. Very family friendly place.

2022-07-03My husband and I had high expectations since we experienced a beautiful wedding at Gervasi several years ago. While the atmosphere was lovely, everything else was not. We ate outdoors at the Piazza. We started by ordering drinks, which mine was not as described by our server. Sent it back and did not get my replacement (which was not as described, either) until half way through the meal. After a very long wait, we received our appetizer and main meal at the same time on a tiny bistro table. The appetizer was average at best and salty. Our meal had under cooked shrimp and over cooked steak, and all together tasteless and barely warm. The side of sour cream we asked for came our warm and liquified. While our server was pleasant, much more training is needed by the management . After driving over an hour to get to your venue, we will not be back .
