Our Transit Connect broke down over the weekend. We contacted Germain on Monday and spoke to Amber in scheduling. We explained the situation and she told us the earliest she could get us an appointment was the following Monday. Actually, this was surprising with how busy service departments seem to be lately. We obtained the towing company information and was told if we had it towed up to them if they could get to it sooner they would. The towing company arrived that afternoon and Germain followed up letting us know the vehicle arrived and Zack confirmed what we needed done in addition to finding out what was causing the break down concern. He told us he would contact us once the vehicle was done. We figured sometime the following week we would hear back. Wednesday morning my husband told me the van was done, we were pleasantly surprised. Germain exceeded our expectations! We were only without our vehicle for a couple days not over a week as we had expected. Both Amber and Zack were very professional, polite, and a pleasure to work with. True assets to the Germain team. Thanks to all for their hard work and ensuring a quality experience for us.
I had the best buying experience at Germain. Jaydee was our salesperson and he was great to work with. I ordered my Bronco on October 13, 2021 and he kept me updated on the order status the entire time. There were no added or hidden fees like other dealerships and the actual purchase was seamless. Jaydee and the other managers had my best interest in mind, and I felt very comfortable and confident that I had made the right choice. I absolute love my 2022 Red Outer Banks Bronco!! I highly recommend Germain Ford of Columbus and Scott Cropper specifically. Scott kept me updated while I was impatiently waiting on my new 2 door Bronco to arrive. They honored the sticker priced/original pricing agreement on my Bronco and, as usual, took great care of me throughout the sales process. We’ve bought multiple vehicles from Scott at Germain and it’s been a great experience each time. He’s funny and honest and I highly recommend both him and the dealership.
After 190K miles on my 2015 F150 Lariat, it was time for a new one. I started truck shopping at Germain Ford and went nowhere else. I knew I was in the right place. Friendly people, knowledgeable people and they were able to answer all my questions. My Sales Consultant Coleton was GREAT to work with. He made the buying experience go very smooth. Very pleased with the whole experience. My sales rep Brynden was very help and friendly. The sales staff are very considerate about your time. Time will tell if service is the same once the car gets off the lot but very please about the honoring pricing in the days of mark ups. Although our product specialist is young numerically he conducted himself as someone seasoned. Extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles available and never tried to oversell. So far Ive only gotten my car serviced here. I had a great experience, everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My service advisor was Zack. He was very proactive in making sure they had a part ordered and waiting for my car when I brought it in for maintenance. Highly recommend coming to this service department!
Yesterday, I test drove at multiple places to find a new car that was a good fit. Though I am going another route with purchasing, my sales consultant was so great! His name was Corey and he honestly was the nicest sales consultant I dealt with yesterday, and was very good about showing me everything in the car before the test drive. He also was great about answering questions. Just overall a bvery friendly experience.
Corey chaffin was my sales rep and he was so helpful. He helped me to make the right decision and didnt try to push something on me I did want. He was very polite and patient and understanding.I want to thank everyone at Germain Ford for all the help and to get me the best rates possible. I will recommend them to all my friends.
The entire team at Germain Ford was absolutely top notch. From the internet sales department, to the sales staff (shout out to Seth), the accessories overview, and the guide on how to use all of my vehicles features, I couldnt be happier.I purchased a new Bronco last night. Given the crazy inventory issues, and large market adjustments happening, I figured it was a no-go from the start. However, the entire team worked to ensure that both sides ended up with an extremely fair deal given the current market. Although I provided some information in advance, the entire process took ~1hour, and the team spent every extra minute of that hour showing me how to best enjoy the features of my new Bronco.I probably sound like a family friend, or a paid ad but I assure you I am not. To be honest, Id never considered owning a Ford prior to the Broncos (love the F150 but dont really need one). However, Im absolutely thrilled with the purchase and level of service I received.
I am a long time Germain customer. I have purchased and had my vehicles serviced there regularly for years. I very recently purchased a Ford EcoSport. Having loved my Focus hatchback I knew that was the next vehicle for me! Alex Palencar worked with me on this purchase and made the buying experience fun, low key, and pleasant. No hard sales, lots of helpful information and flexibility around my being able to come into the dealership, and he just found the car that was right for me and in my favorite color too! I appreciated his help and the rest of the team from beginning to end as they worked with me through the purchase and delivery process. I am loving my new car and as always will be back when it is time for service.
I previously went to Roush Ford and they were not professional. I tried Germain Ford are theyre great! I was quoted $1060 on the phone but when I got there, the actual total was $1700. Because I was originally misquoted, they honored the first price they gave me! This seemed to be their standard because I was fine paying the full amount but they wanted to honor their word. Mike Busch and the service department manager are great!
Rick and Karoline Ross are amazing. If you are in need of a new vehicle you could not be in better place. They have a lot of vehicles to choose from. They are knowledgeable, friendly and quickly get you financed. Definitely a stress free process. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who is in the market for a new vehicle.
I appreciated the service I received once I began the process with Michael Ward. He made everything smooth for me and at times I did wonder but the process was completely smooth. I am very appreciative of the information they gave me and looking forward to everything my Ford Bronco has to offer and will definitely recommend someone to head here when looking for a new car.
Customer service got greedy and lost my business.First this would have been only a 2 star review, but a star was earned by my salesman, who was quick to respond and courteous. The sales manager was almost courteous, but his joke about the salesman asking him to be nice to us, fell far flat. I had to remind the sales manager that the vehicle had gone through the Ford used vehicle quality control check and had a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. Despite my wife being with me, sales manager forgot to add my wifes name to the title, which meant the the title did not match the sales agreement and Ohio BMV would not except it. My wife and I had to return and sign another title request delaying the registration transfer by two weeks.After much back and forth with Ford technical support, it was determined that my vehicles 3G Telemetric Control Unit went down, as all 3G cell phones did, when the 3G cellular network was turned off. Germain service said they needed to charge me $160 (+taxes) to diagnose a problem that had already been diagnosed my Ford tech support. After the diagnosis they would have to order and wait two to three days for the part. This meant I either had to leave the vehicle there or bring the vehicle back a second time. Called two other Ford dealerships and both said this was a known issue documented by Ford Corporation, and the part could be ordered ahead of time and installed when I brought the vehicle in. So, I ordered the part, and will now just have to pay $150 (+taxes) labor fee at another Ford service center and the vehicle would be ready in about a half hour.Combine the rudeness of the service department, and their greediness, Germain Ford has lost all my business.
People were friendly an helpful, gave 3 stars because of them adding $9000 to the price of broncos over cost.,they may call it supply an demand but I call it price gouging. When things get back to normal are they going to drop $9000. Below cost??? When they have 10 on the lot??? Better yet find a dealer thats not jacking an give them your business. My opinion make your own decision.
I had reached out about a Maverick I saw online and Jean Arvelaez informed me that same day (2/25) that it had already been sold. I provided some additional features I would be looking for in a Maverick should one become available and Jean said hed keep an eye out. On 3/10, Jean reached back out to ask if I would be interested in one that was coming in. I know theyre scarce and I appreciate that I came to mind and was offered the chance to buy it. I was paired with Justin Ellis and he was excellent to work with - very kind, accommodating, and helpful - and not at all pushy. Leading up to the day of pick-up, Justin helped get things in order and things went very smoothly. Also another shout-out to Jean for his walkthrough of the vehicle - he was very knowledgeable and tolerated me finishing the majority of his sentences, as Id been watching dozens of hours of Maverick videos. Adding to that, he did make sure to cover some quirky and/or safety-related features/tasks that I didnt already know (like using the shift knob and L button to put the truck in neutral for car washes and lowering the spare tire). Post-sale, Justin reached out to make sure things were going well and offer any help/support. All-in-all, it was a VERY positive experience. The only thing that could have been better would have been a lower ADM, but I understand that purchasing cars (new or used) at the moment can come with a larger price tag than even a few months ago...
William Schier was amazing! I stopped by on a Saturday very close to closing time and he didn’t hesitate to stay late and show me multiple vehicles, get me the right offer for my trade in and get me going on my new vehicle. Great customer service! Will defined be back in the future

After a long journey of waiting for the Ford Bronco, it finally arrived to the dealership and it was well worth the wait! Charged MSRP and was everything we hoped for.Such a beautiful car with so much potential for adventure and excitement. The phone system to the service department has got to be one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I tried calling to speak to a service rep for over a hour. I keep being sent to their voicemail each time and I tried calling about 5-6 times over a hour. I tried calling the schedule lady to see if she could transfer me directly to a person but she did the same thing and sent me to a person’s voicemail. So I had to go there in person to see if they were indeed that busy. And just like I figured there were 2 service reps doing nothing. I then called the service department while standing there in the service department just to see what happens and what I saw was mind blowing. My call went to a unattended service station and was not picked up by the other service attendant 8 feet away. I asked for the service manager to see if he was aware of this problem but unfortunately he was not there. I do believe this will be my last time buying another vehicle at GermainFord. With such poor service I will look elsewhere in the future.
My boyfriend recently bought a vehicle from Brynden Erwin and he was just FABULOUS! Every single person we talked to was very knowledgeable and personable. Although Brynden was young, he was very professional and acts well beyond his years. If we could do it again, I would choose him every single time! Germain Ford was one of the best dealerships we have ever been to! Thanks again for everything and we will definitely be buying from this dealership and our salesman again! Such a lovely experience!
I spoke with someone in the parts department who confirmed they had the floor mats I was looking for. We have one left in stock. I will set them aside for you, just give them the code Q8043 when you get here the gentlemen said. When I went to parts department, the guy told me he had no idea what to do with the code or who I wouldve spoken with. He led me to someone else that couldnt help either or maybe just didnt want to look/talk to someone else. He just said, Ya, we dont have them. I can order them and theyll be here Tuesday. I felt that enough of my time had been wasted at this dealership and didnt trust them to not misplace another set, so I took my business elsewhere.
Took in our 2017 Raptor for engine light, routine service and a low-grade grinding in the front end. After more than a week (one day snow storm), picked up the truck and noted close to home a horrible scraping sound in the front end that was NOT present when we left the truck. This is the second time they couldn’t figure out the grinding noise and now we are left with a worse sound. After doing our own research on the grinding sound, a technical service bulletin was found that appeared to address the problem. When attempting to inform the service person ERICA of this issue, she was completely dismissive. Now it is Friday night and we were told to pick it up just prior to closing so that we can’t drive it immediately back because “we’re closing in a few minutes”. Hopefully the front tire doesn’t fly off on the drive back to the dealership in the am. Very dissatisfied and irritated to say the least.
I had a coolant leak in my Ford Escape. To me it looked like it was coming from the water pump. I took it in to be checked out and they told me it was my radiator and it would be just over $1,000 and that after the repair they would have to make sure that was the problem. They also said my motor mount was bad. I found that AAA could do it cheaper and took it to them. AAA checked it out and said that it was in fact my water pump and NOT my radiator and I was able to get it fixed for ~$250. Germain Ford is either completely incompetent and has no business repairing vehicles or, and I believe this to be the case, they were attempting to conduct a fraudulent repair and steal money from me. They charged me $200 for a false diagnosis. Horrible company.
My experience was great when I bought my 2016 Ford Explorer platinum back in September of last year before I had my daughter. Though come November my check engine light has been on and off. Today i called mark bush and left a voicemail to see if i can schedule an appointment but sadly i havent heard anything back yet and its coming up on 3 hours since that call. Im guessing the only way ill be able to make an appointment is by driving up to germain and hope that my car doesn’t break down
Drive 2 hours away to look at trading two truck in on a used 2020 f450. Showed up to the dealership 3 hours later to test drive truck to find out it was sold over a week ago, that I was told was still available by Rick Ross over the phone. Other salesman confronted rick Ross that denied saying he ever spoke with me on the Phone. I would never buy anything from there’s people, what a waste of time
BUYER BEWARE!! Do not trust what you hear from these people. This Ford dealership could be selling used vehicles that are poor quality and unsafe. There are other Ford dealers and many other cars available. I encourage you to protect yourself by going to another dealership.
This is the second time I have had to take my new 2021 F150 to Germain for service. The first time the truck would just stop running. They had it and said it was all fixed. It was just an update. Picked it up did the same thing an hour later. Called them back and said it would be a week to look at it again. Broke down on the road carrying a trailer and had towed to Bob Chapman in Marysville. They discovered it was a loose battery cable. Took the F150 back to Germain again for the onboard generator not working and a noise coming from the rear. Scheduled the appointment. They found out I will need a new inverter with no ETA on part. However the service writer Mike said the tech said the hybrids are loud and they did not check out the noise? I told him its not the electric motor. He said he will have the tech check it out and to schedule another appointment they can only do one thing at at time since they are overbooked. Told him I will let him keep it another day he said he will have the tech look at it. Texed Mike back today he said they have 64 appointments this am and I will have to reschedule. Glad that Im such a priority.
Called on a Thursday, was told there was an open appointment on Friday at 2:30p. Dropped it off Friday morning, had to call 30 mins before close (and wait 15 mins on hold) for an update on Friday. Was told car didn’t get checked out, would now be Monday. I had to again call on Monday right before close to get an update, only to be told again it wasn’t looked at as it was a specialist problem, and I would get a call Tuesday. Received a call Tuesday they were inspecting the problem, and didn’t hear any update again until Thursday when I again had to call. Was told it was still in the works, and then 3 hours later was called and told it was ready to pickup. Crazy to me that as the customer I’d need to call and chase down updates on a vehicle, and to be car-less over a weekend while it sat without any inspection/work. Will definitely bring my vehicle to a different ford dealership in the future.
After dealing with a nightmare experience with an online dealer I happened to spot a similar truck at Germain. Reached out via email and was set up for an appointment with Corey chaffin. I explained my situation and where I needed/wanted to be. I had an excellent experience. Will be doing business with them from this moment forward.
Worst service experience possible. Took over a month to complete service to replace pre-collision assist module. 3 weeks of which were spent with the car not being worked on, but sitting waiting. Not helpful and combative, all the way up to Chad Secrest, their General Manager. Nobody wants to help.
Great sales team, good bunch of people and treat their customers like family. Josh was a great help over the phone and through the whole buying process. I think he was a little in shock that we didnt test drive the car or anything just walked in and started the purchasing process. I just wish I would have gotten a free long sleeved Germain Ford shirt with my purchase.
Was told when I scheduled my service that repair would take about 2 hours. Dropped of my vehicle and now 3 1/2 hours later and after several text messaged, no response as to an update. Called several times and was on hold for 15 minutes; called several times and left messages with no call back, so going on 3 1/2 hours and no update or call back yet-terrible customer service
Took my ford escape in for a new sync stereo since my sync unit went. Dealer installed it for roughly $800, I got it back and it still has issues. I scheduled a second appointment and got it came back with the same broken issue. The dealer of course stated they fixed it, but I still remains broken and they billed me $100 for the second visit.Working with Ford, is like when Charlie Brown tries to kick the football.
Had a great experience with Brendan, who was in his first week as a sales associate. He had previously worked as a technology specialist for Germain Ford. He really knew his stuff with regards to Fords. He was courteous, professional, straightforward, and non-overbearing. I ended up getting a 2021 Ford Expedition Max, which Brendan helped set up for me. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and overall experience.
Worst dealership ever. I have several complaints that I will be making with the the BBB, Ford Corporate and the OH Attorneys Generals office, as Germain does not fix problems, lies to customers, including management and has the poorest customer service that I have experienced in my whole life, and I 58 yrs old. Pretty Bad
I needed a car over a weekend. My daughter resides in Columbus and had a positive experience purchasing her car from Jerry Votaw at Germain. I live three hours from the dealership, but Jerry worked with me Friday evening and met me Saturday afternoon. The purchase of my Escape was an easy and relaxed experience. I highly recommend Germain Ford to everyone.
This is my second lease from Germain Ford, and it could not have been any smoother of a process! I had a 2017 Ford Taurus that was leased and turning it in for a 2020 Ford Edge. I emailed Joe DeLuca, who is wonderful by the way, letting him know what I was looking for. Within a few hours, Joe had found me the exact model I wanted (ST-Line, Magnetic) and had worked up a price. He gave me a call on the phone, we agreed on pricing and a few days later the Edge was delivered to my home and he picked up the Taurus from me. I cannot stress enough how easy and seamless this was! I will continue to lease from Germain Ford and Joe for the foreseeable future!
I had a great experience getting a new 2020 Ford Explorer from Coleton Wirth. I was very specific with what I needed the car to have. Coleton listened and worked very hard to find the best fit for me and my kids. He was friendly, courteous and was working to get everything ready to go quickly so I could get back home to my kids. I would recommend him and Germain Ford!

Worst service experience ever.We made an appointment for our van that we use daily - appointment was for 0830 on a Tuesday morning, by 1630 they still had not looked at the vehicle - because they had too many walk in oil changes or tire rotations that day. We made an appointment so the van would get prioritized, they literally didn’t care what we used the vehicle for.Day over day the service advisor Erica was horrible, she avoided calls from us for daily updates, she also would not call back when she said she would. The van was in the shop for a week - subtracting a day for the holiday. The van went in for an air bag light on and every time we talked to Erica she told us we could come pick it up (still broken) or leave it for them to continue to “work on it”. It took calling to ask to speak with the service manager to prioritize getting the work done…and the best part is he never bothered to call back. We finally were told the van was ready for pick up today - we went to pick it up - my husband got in to drive it and the driver side seat belt was not connected?!?I get COVID, I get staffing challenges…all I’m looking for is some proactive customer service. Call back when you say you will, honor appointments or don’t make them.We used to bring vehicles here (F350 truck, Flex) all the time - the service advisor we used is gone…
Very friendly staff and always easy to work with in the service department. Sometimes they get overwhelmed and cant complete a job but are generally vocal about it and give a heads up. I have purchased 2 vehicle from them and the sales staff is super helpful and easy to work with as well. If you drop your vehicle off for service and plan on using their shuttle service an to spend a little extra time. They only have one driver. Although he is great and love conversing with him, he is only one guy and gets busy quick.
I had a great experience here. I ordered a 2022 Maverick and worked with Brandon. He kept me updated and answered my questions through the whole process. My experience at the dealership when taking delivery was actually quick and really easy. I appreciated the painless trade in process. My trade in was able to be appraised while I was at work so it saved a lot of time when taking delivery of the new truck. I look forward to working with Germain Ford in the future!
Salesman was awesome. Management takes advantage of the customer and only concerned about the $ They charge top dollar and you do not get the deal you get with competitors. Bought a vehicle from them, paid top dollar and took the car to a competitor 4 days later and traded for the same vehicle and got a better deal with an upgrade in the vehicle. Germain Ford NEVER again.
I found a car I wanted to test drive online on a Sunday and was able to schedule a test drive for the following day. James Soto took very good care of me while juggling other clients at the same time. I never felt hurried or rushed and he patiently answered all my questions. The other support staff were also very attentive and made the entire process enjoyable. I was pleased with the entire process and would not hesitate to recommend Germain Ford to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from them.
Great Experience! We drove from Lafayette, Indiana to Germain Ford to test drive a Toyota 4 Runner we saw online. We had never heard of this place. All I Have to say is WOW!!! Such great people, easy breezy financing, awesome dealership!! We will definitely reach out to Germain Ford in the future. We have already given recommendations to friends and family who also fell in love with our purchase from Germain Ford. Two times over the past few months I have had a less than pleasurable experience at Germain Ford. The first go around I was at the service department to get a new key programmed and I was told this would take an hour so I chose to wait onsite. One hour passes then another half hour, so I go to the desk and ask what the status was and I was told that the work hasn’t even been started but mind you not one person COMMUNICATED this delay to me. I would have dropped the truck off if I knew it would take this long, and then all of a sudden my key was programmed in a half hour. Long story short is the communication is terrible in the service department and everyone is less than friendly.Experience #2: I schedule to take my truck in for a recall on a lock that freezes up when it gets cold outside. I get a call the day I dropped it off towards the end of the day that the service department was behind and couldn’t start my service so they need to keep my truck another day, and the lock was showing no signs of the fault to which later I found out the truck was inside the shop where it is warm. Finally day two comes around and I was told the lock was working properly because it makes a noise.I would strongly encourage someone at Germain Ford to evaluate their staff and provide some training to the people working at this location. This is unacceptable!!
I’ve always dreaded the car shopping process, particularly the sales tactics and up-selling I had to endure, or worse yet? The treatment I would get as a woman. Germain Ford (Justin in particular) changed that for me! My first time buying a new car was a fun and exciting process with absolutely no stress. Justin was easy to work with, he explained every step of the process in detail so I knew exactly what to expect. He literally took care of everything for me! His communication skills were impressive, and everything was presented to me clearly and proactively. I simply told him what I wanted, and didn’t want…and the price I wanted to stay within. He did the rest! He is a shining example of what a sales person should be. We will definitely continue to see Justin at Germain Ford, Sawmill for all of our future purchases.

I just got a 2019 Ford Flex from Germain Ford and took delivery on Saturday. Everything was perfect. Chad and his team were awesome to work with - transparent, fair, informative, and did everything they could to make the process smooth and make sure I got the exact car I wanted. I highly recommend them and thank them for the awesome car-buying experience!
Purchased a Mustang from this dealership. Chris is an honest salesman, Zach was very helpful with the warranty explanation, and management was willing to work with me on the price and extras. Was very impressed with the service department when I had to do an alignment, especially the service reps, service techs, and the shop foreman.

1 star rating for the service department at Germain Ford of Columbus.Vehicle: 2021 Ford f150Negatives-Full 2hr wait for a scheduled oil change at 0915 am-Wrong package/oil than what was originally scheduled online-No car wash-Absurd amount of oil from the technician’s hands on hood, all door handles, door panels and some even on steering wheel.Positive-The guy that I checked in with was professional.An unacceptable experience. This is only the third time I’ve ever reviewed a company but it’s warranted in this case.
The entire visit from start to finish was easy and low pressure. Brenden and Jerry both assisted me, they called the other dealership took care of my lease end, and even match my trade in value at another dealership, answered all my questions and made the visit very easy! Excellent job!
Buying my Maverick from Germain Ford was the first time I actually enjoyed the process of buying a vehicle. My sales contact, Brynden, and Ford Motors kept me informed of the status of scheduling, manufacture and shipping. Brynden explained about the documents required and who would be introduced me to all the members of the company involved who who make certain I understood this new model of truck. Jean explained the operation of the vehicle electronics, modes of operating the truck, and connected my mobile phone to the Bluetooth. Brian Driver, Accesories Manager, informed me of what accessories were available and discussed the many types of bed covers and ordered the floor mats I selected to protect the carpet. My wife and I enjoyed the friendly staff.
Had a great experience here. William was very professional and fast. I enjoyed that, I was walked through the truck’s features, but not the obvious common sense ones. That showed me that my time was valued. The dealership is clean and airy, so it’s not a problem to hang out while waiting.

Unfortunately I didn’t look at the reviews until my car was already at the service center - like many other reviewers, I find it incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to customer’s needs and personal / professional schedules when an appointment is set for 845am, your vehicle isn’t seen until 4pm, a proposal is sent at 5pm, and then when you approve the necessary services, you’re told you “should” have your vehicle back “later in the afternoon the next day”.I originally purchased my vehicle from Germain, but after this absolutely unacceptable experience with service I WILL NOT use their service center again, and I absolutely WILL NOT purchase another vehicle from them.My recommendation: go to another service center until Germain can prioritize showing respect their customers’ time and manage the scheduling for their service department more appropriately.
Service department is inept. Called Monday for a Thursday appointment to add tires to my scheduled service, was cut short several times and tech said yknow what just come Thursday and well get you with a new set. I come in today and they have zero tires that fit my car. Literally tried to give notice and get all my ducks in a row and Germain Ford actively prevented me. Dont promise what you cant deliver!EDIT: Called four hours in to a 2-hour quoted appointment and was told another 2-3. Seven hours for a door latch replacement, triple the estimate, is pretty unacceptable. I regret having spent time and energy at this establishment.
Had a great experience here! I dropped my car off for a recall and oil change. When I came to pick it up I realized that they didnt do the oil change because it wasnt marked in their system, so I guess just a miscommunication. They suggested to do it right away and the mechanic found some other issues with a car and offered me solutions for no additional charge, which was really nice. Plus free basic car wash! They also have a little strange waiting area for kids....
I found a used SUV for my son... I set up the appointment online... they had the vehicle ready when we arrived. My son was happy with it... so far so good! Ive done business with Germain Ford in the past and I trusted them with this current purchase and I dont think Ill be disappointed. Corey and Chris were Great.... it was a little longer wait time for the whole process to be complete... but it worked out in the end.
I worked with Mike Ward and he was wonderful and a delight to chat with! Everyone here was so friendly and helpful, and Mike made my first car purchase on my own so simple and easy. He showed me all the features of my new car, walked me through all the steps, and along with Jerry made sure I understood all the financing options available to me while I made my decision. I came in after work on a Thursday and drove off the lot in my dream car a few hours later. Cannot recommend Germain and Mike enough!
I have gone to other Ford dealerships in have been treated like dirt but not at this one. I think I found my permanent home Ford dealership to take my 2018 Ford fusion to from here on out. It was an amazing experience of feeling welcome. I highly highly recommend this place. they make you feel like an actually make you feel like a real person.

I recently bought an F-150 From Germain. Steve Hammond is one of the best car salesmen Ive ever dealt with that I didnt previously know. He is older and definitely experienced and he told me all about his past car sales experience which is most of his life. He is a great guy to work with, he isnt super pushy or rude and doesnt come off as just trying to get your money and your sale. I would recommend anyone if youre going to Germain, or even deciding to go to another dealership, definitely go talk to him first!
So I drove over a hundred miles to possibly purchase a 2017 Mustang, verified the car was there, the price was posted on the internet on their website, got there test drove the car no issues, but when it came time to talk money I was informed basically that their price is their price and they would negotiate a couple hundred dollars from their posted price online but that was it. So what they are doing is checking the market basically hourly on similar cars being posted for sale whether its dealerships or what have you within a couple hundred miles of their dealership that way they dont have to negotiate any further off their price. Which to me seems like its almost like price fixing! Now mind you I was pre-approved by my credit union before I got there. Had they told me that their price was not negotiable other than a couple hundred dollars I wouldnt have driven over a hundred miles to go test drive this vehicle. Granted it had a few more bells and whistles than the typical Mustang but not enough to justify not being negotiable. I was told by the sales manager that negotiating is a thing of the past for cars? So they lost a sale needless to say and Ill continue to look till I find something. To be honest I really likye the car and it handled well, seem to run well but... Word to the wise make sure you know that their prices is their price and its not negotiable but by a couple hundred dollars! I should have headed the reviews for the dealership and steered away!
Ford issued a recall on their Takata airbags for certain vehicles under their brand. My vehicle has sharp metal parts in the airbags that can rupture in a car wreck and have an URGENT safety recall to be replaced for free, on both the drivers and passenger sides. I have called Germain Ford for OVER THREE WEEKS with no response back from them. I have called their Service, Sales, and Customer Service departments and left multiple voicemails for Craig, the Service Advisor, and a few other team members. I am extremely annoyed at the LACK OF SERVICE Germain Ford provides and how they IGNORE customers. I will absolutely NOT ever buy a vehicle from them in the future, as they have lost me as a customer forever at this point, as well as all of my friends and family. Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism Germain Ford gives to the Ford name.
Seth did an amazing job. We were greeted by him even though he was expecting another customer within the hour. He easily handed both sales AT THE SAME TIME. Even though the other sale was going to be more expensive than mine he still treated me like a “high dollar” customer. I was very satisfied with the whole process (trade in and purchase).
Purchased a vehicle yesterday from Josh Devore (in less than 2 hours), if you need a vehicle in the 2 hour radius of Columbus, do not go anywhere else. When I arrived, the vehicle was clean, and waiting for me. In less than 5 minutes I was taking a test drive and doing a walk around of the vehicle. They had very competitive prices (exactly priced in line with KBB, NADA, Edmunds, and Carfax). Received an amazing rate with their lenders. The whole process was PAINLESS.Josh was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and worked with me on pricing. I cannot recommend these people enough.I started at Ricart (dont waste your time), and the vehicle there was dirty and not ready when I showed up for my appointment, the staff was not knowledgeable, and while the dealership was nice, as I interfaced with the staff more it was obvious that it was just another sleezy used car lot. They used a ton of car jargon to try confuse and lie to me, and attempted to sell a known damaged vehicle without willingness to repair it.Germain of Columbus was none of those things that Ricart was thankfully.
Very friendly, gives the appearance of being a high volume dealership, but thats just how it looks. The sales person that helped me was very courteous, and not pushy in any way. And trust me I asked him a million questions, he looked everything up from specs, to service records and service bulletins. I ended up purchasing from another Germain dealership, but was so impressed that I actually took the time to call the salesman that helped me and thanked him for his time. Thats how helpful he was! I reccomend this dealership if you are looking for a new Ford, or a nice clean used vehicle. I cant speak for the buying experience, as I did not actually purchase here. But the staff was helpful. Ask for Will. He was very patient and fully earned this 5 star rating for Germain.
My car has been on their lot for a month waiting to have a diagnosis done. Their maintenence rep called me back and refused to even look at my car. They threatened to file for an abandoned title on my vehicle once I called again and asked for them to put in writing why this dealership would refuse to even check my vehicle. Extremely unprofessional.
I had a good experience with my salesmen josh. after the car was sold to me I have had nothing but problems with this ford. they somehow skipped over the fact that the car they sold to me had no seatbelt in the back it looks like it was cut out and they never noticed the whole time the car was in their possession. they did say they would fix it and claimed they have ordered the part but its been over 2 months and I have not heard from anyone. every time I call no one is available to talk to me directly and no one returns voicemails. I have also stopped in to check on the seatbelt and was told they were just waiting on the part still after they had lots of trouble finding my information and the cars information in their system. I do not recommend buying or servicing a vehicle from here. this is by far one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Buying a car during the middle of a pandemic can be nerve wracking. But, buying a car during a pandemic while 37 weeks pregnant is a whole different ball game. July 2020 I had set out to purchase a Ford Explorer and had a list of what I needed the vehicle package to include.Growing up I have come to know a great deal about different vehicles, as well as the car business in general thanks to my dad. After a few phone calls I was put in contact with Daniel O’ Neil in sales at Germain Ford. After speaking with him we set up a safe visit to the dealership and test drove 3 Explorers to which met all of our needs for our growing family. Daniel was very cautious in regards to the pandemic and mask wearing, and extremely professional. Knowing I was due very soon with our baby , he was great about communicating when my vehicle would be ready. There were a few things that needed done prior to driving it off of the lot and trading in my Nissan Rouge, but he made it stress free. Daniel lived up the the Germain name with treating people well. He made my buying experience during such uncertain times a breeze . We are so glad we chose Germain Ford and will be back in the future! Full service Ford dealership with a separation of scheduled service appointments from unscheduled, on demand service requests so that wait times are minimized. Service staff are professional, courteous, and friendly - at least in the unscheduled service area. Dublin location is conveniently located at the intersection of I-270 and sawmill road. I was able to get an oil change, together with a comprehensive maintenance check, in less than an hour and without an appointment. Yes, you will pay a little more but at least you dont have to worry about an untrained technician making a mistake that will eventually cost you more in the long run. There is value to peace of mind. I highly recommend and will return in the future.

I ran into a scheduling and service issue for an oil and filter which was in part, due to the ongoing labor shortage. As a long term Germain customer, I presented the concern to Chad Secrest (GM) who quickly offered to come pickup my vehicle and handle the service call. Above and beyond! While service issues are inherent in a service industry, how a dealer chooses to remedy them makes the difference between average and exceptional customer service
I went to Germains website 6-15-2021 and inquired via the chat engine on their service page whether they scheduled oil change appointments. I was told they did. So, I made an appointment for the next day 6-16-2021 at 11:00 a.m. I arrived, on time, for my appointment and was greeted at my truck by a pleasant gentleman who told me to step inside to a service desk. The service person acknowledged my appointment and told me to wait in the lobby. At 12:30 p.m., I decided that it had been more than enough time for them to do an oil change and returned to the service desk to ask for a status. At this time the service guy got testy and told me (twice) that 1.5 hours was the routine time for this service at that dealership. Then, he told me that he was waiting for a quote from parts because my chrome OEM lug nuts were swollen and couldnt be removed to rotate the tires (appearantly part of The Works package. I questioned that because Id never heard of that problem (turns out its a thing). The Service Manager intervened at this point and couldnt have been more friendly. He actually got a socket and showed me that it wouldnt slide on to some of the lugs. So, $179.00 later, I had new lug nuts (didnt want to have an issue on the side of the road changing a tire). I feel strongly that they didnt actually make an 11:00 appointment that they intended to honor (I was just put in the line of customers already waiting). Also, Ford has been sued for this lug nut issue and should replace them free of charge.
Very pleased with my buying experience with Germain Ford, very easy to schedule appointment for test drive. Jim Sotto had the vehicle all ready for me and had personally cleaned it and was familiar with all the specs. He was available to speak to just a couple days later when I had a few questions. He was able to provide me with answers and send videos to further explain things. I will definitely bring my escape back for services!!
Our family was ready to turn in our old minivan and move into a large SUV. JayDee did a great job explaining the different trim packages for the Expedition and we found one we really loved. Once we locked in on the Expedition we wanted, he did a an excellent job walking us through the trade in for our minivan and our options for purchasing including which deals were available to us (the only feedback I would offer is a little more transparent deal sheet that shows how the different credits are applied). We thoroughly enjoyed our experience (it was simple and easy) and plan to come back again the next time we are in the market for a new car.
They dont honor scheduled service appointments. Scheduled a brake fluid flush and inspection 1 week in advance, received an appointment for 8:30AM on a week day. Took a day off work to get it done. Arrived at 8:30, and was told because of recall work, they were unable to do it at that time (I was told they had 40 transmissions and 30 engines to replace, in addition to Fusion brake issues...good job Ford!). They offered to try to complete it by the end of the day if I left it with them, but couldnt guarantee it, and would not offer a loaner vehicle (I live 25 miles away). When asked why they scheduled service they couldnt complete, they said the person scheduling service didnt understand how long it takes and how many other jobs they had.. Fortunately, Byers in Delaware got me in the same day, completed the service in under an hour, and at a lower cost than Germain. Go to Byers, not to Germain. Seriously.
I visited this place over the weekend for service. The service area appeared abandoned so we walked over to the sales floor. No one seemed that eager to greet me. I stood around for a little before just walking up to someone. I was told that the service area had already closed, although I was told they would be open until 5. That was disappointing seeing as how I drove a little while to get here. Some of the staff seemed nicer than others and some were more knowledgeful than others as well.
I was visiting Columbus from Wisconsin and I had to have my car serviced while I was there. I was limited on time and they were able to get my car serviced and ready to drive back to Wisconsin! Alex in the service department was great to work with! Thank you for everything!

I traded my Honda Civic for a 2020 Ford Escape here at Germain. I am so pleased with this vehicle and my interactions with the professionals at Germain were impeccable. There was no pressure, and I was never rushed. Such a great experience. I also received great instruction on how to use all the new gadgets! Excellent customer service from Brandon Garcia. Very responsive to questions and needs. Worked hard to make trade ins, transfers, and the sale price work for us all.Disappointed at Ford Motor Company (Manufacturer), with an obvious defect in paint discovered upon arriving home with my brand new car. Will require 2-3 days in the body shop to repair on this new vehicle. Should never have left the factory with this defect! Hopefully, no other less visible defects exist. Certainly does not build confidence in the workmanship from Ford.
I’m usually not one to complain and have very high patience. I have gone to this Ford several times for service and every time I have gone I’ve had an even worse experience than the last. Just recently though I had an experience that really went absolutely horrendous. For starters I was told my vehicle would be ready the next day and it wasn’t. Didn’t receive a call or message that it wouldn’t be ready which caused me to pay an extra day on a rental. I call the next day and ask what’s up and the guy I was speaking to would NOT speak up and couldn’t find my profile or so he tried transferring my call to my consultant instead of simply checking for my vehicle himself. When my consultant didn’t answer, I was left to leave him a message with no word on my vehicle whatsoever. At this point I just showed up and asked personally and was told my vehicle still needed another hour and that they had called the wrong number to let me know it was going to be late. I pick up my vehicle an hour later and pay an outrageous 1,117 dollars for a simple brake of change on both axles and a brake fluid flush which is well above the HIGH average price that I could have gotten just about anywhere else. When I got my estimate I was told it would be around 250 per axle, I looked on their website and it said 179 and under per axle but somehow I ended up paying 1117? I was also told that my ECU had been reset WITHOUT my permission and that they couldn’t figure out how to get it back to the tune I had it to. When I got into my vehicle I noticed it was extremely slow and didn’t sound as it did before. I scanned for error codes and just as I suspected I had 2 engine error codes and for some reason my ecu can no longer be recognized. By my performance port. Not only that but I also had my oil changed a few weeks ago at this exact location and my oil light is also on now. The fact that this place has ANY reviews above one star blows my mind.
I have been lied to by Germain about my 2017 Ford Escape on 5/24/21. I took it in for service when the check engine light came on. I was told I needed a new motor. There is a defect with the block that has caused coolant to leak into the cylinders. I was told it would be covered by my extended warranty. I was also told it would take 1 to 2 months for the repair to be completed and they have no loaner cars available. I called today 6/11/21 to check on their progress and was told the service tech that took my car in was no longer there and it would be 6 to 7 months before they could get to my car. I was then told I was getting transferred to the manager who wouldnt answer his phone. He has not returned my calls either. What am I supposed to do for transportation to work? I work in another city 20 miles away? I will lose my job! Why wasnt there a recall by Ford on these cars when this was first noticed? There are cars everywhere with the same problem. Germain new about the problem but didnt do anything about it either.
Was looking to purchase a Mustang GT asap. Contacted Germain Ford (Sawmill, Columbus) on Tuesday the 15th of Dec, Brandon Garcia got back to me in no time. I was told all the pricing details and was happy with the quote. The entire staff is very friendly and especially during these covid times are very responsible taking good measures while serving the customers without any compromise. I picked up my mustang on Saturday the 21st, so literally took me 4 days to get a complete quote and own this car. I would like to thank Brandon again for making this a very smooth and easy process.

This hands down was the best car buying experience I could have asked for. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind.I reached out online about a used trade-in vehicle they had on their lot. Lauren was super quick to get back to me. She was incredibly helpful and informative about the vehicle. During its entire inspection she kept me updated with pictures and made sure I had access to all the maintenance records for the vehicle. She was determine to assist me, prudent to my needs, very knowledgeable about the vehicle and diligent in sending me everything I needed. Her transparency and quick response time about the car really made a great impression and was what motivated me to stop in for a test drive.After calling and making an appointment, Josh helped me with a test drive and a car inspection. He was incredibly charming, friendly and informative. I sincerely felt he had my best interest at heart and wanted me to be happy with the vehicle. I never once felt he was talking down to me or felt I was incompetent, which was incredibly refreshing and professional. Had a wonderful experience at Germain Ford! Used the online option to ask about a vehicle that I was interested in. Received an email with great information about the vehicle shortly thereafter. Called the dealership a couple hours before closing on a Friday to ask if vehicle was still available b/c I would be traveling 2 hrs on Saturday to see it. James was super helpful & offered to contact me at days end should they end up selling the vehicle. Daniel contacted me before days end to confirm vehicle was still available & he would be prepping for my arrival the following morning. Saturday morning Daniel and the vehicle were waiting for me & within 2 hrs time, had taken a test drive; got great financing (thanks to finance guy); new tires were aligned; vehicle was washed & gassed up and I was on the road. GREAT customer service! GREAT pricing! GREAT used vehicle! Thank you! :)
Another excellent service appointment. Greeted efficiently by the service advisor, Dan. I had just received a recall notice and from what the notice stated, it looked like I would have to book another appointment to have the work done. So, I dropped the car off for a routine oil change, and came back an hour-and-a-half later to find out that not only was the oil change taken care of, but they also addressed the issue of the recall, in a fraction of the time the notice from Ford said it would take! A nice send off from the cashier, and my day was complete--everything had been take care of! Thanks, Germain!
Of corse when buying a car they are super helpful. But when I’m asking questions about the warranty I bought or trying to make sure I set up the correct appointment with the right people to use my warranty most of the staff I’ve talked to isn’t helpful. It’s really disappointing. “I only do sales, I’m not sure about any warranties” don’t you add on a warranty to a vehicle sale? Shouldn’t you know what your basic warranty covers? My sales person talked to me about my warranty?Getting my car was good service but the after purchase customer service I’ve been receiving has been subpar. Probably would look else where to purchase from in the future. Frustrating.
The Service Department needs some serious improvement. I wish I could give 2 reviews, 1 for the customer service side of service, and the other for the techs. On the customer service side, the advisors are friendly and willing to help. (3+ stars makes sense.) Jessica is very knowledgeable and comforting. The technicians are slow and they dont seem to prioritize urgency (1-2 stars makes sense). If you have significant time to kill, use them.
I have been involved with Germain Ford at Sawmill Rd for as long as it has existed. I have been driving a Ford Edge for 10 years. I traded in the Edge for an Escape last week. I love the car and the process was so satisfying. Scott was the salesman and cant sing his praises enough. Everyone else was also exemplary. Thank you for a great experience. The service people here are fantastic, and Scott Cropper in Sales, is always so accommodating. I am very pleased with the new car, and especially pleased with all the staff at Germain.
Terrible experience.Our flights were cancelled several times, and when we finally got a flight we had to be on standby?Then the AA attendant in Chicago at the desk for our last flight to Columbus, Ohio was very rude.The we didnt get our luggages until two days later, and they were only hand luggages.I know American Airlines are better than this.
I bought my car from Germain Ford. Compared to other dealerships I worked with in Columbus, they are by far the best. A few years before I bought a car from them I came and they were nice to me even though they knew I wasnt a buyer. They showed me all lines of cars and showed me financing options with no pressure to buy. A year later I came back to buy a car from them.I worked with Ralph, and he was helpful, and knowledgeable. He kept in touch with me even after the purchase. I bought a used car so it had a small scratch on the back bumper, he worked very fast to repair it and he kept me in the loop with updates. Once it was fixed, he called and informed me that it is ready.Financing was very smooth with no pressure to purchase additional services.I also took the car to the shop after the purchase to check on breaks and to ask a few questions. They seemed very busy but was helped quickly, they immediately checked. They also have FREE car wash for their customers.

I went to Germain Ford with the intention of buying a new Ford Escape Hybrid to replace my 10 year old Honda CR-V. I was easily able to book a test drive online using their chat interface, and I was contacted the day of the test drive to make sure I was still interested. Seth R. made the experience great, making sure I knew what I needed to on the Ford Escape Hybrid. He even found a vehicle with a better package for me while I was out test driving the first vehicle. He also worked with us to get the vehicle for the monthly payments that we were able to afford, including making sure we got all of the rebates and incentives available to us. I would highly recommend Germain Ford, and especially Seth R., to anyone considering a Ford in the Central Ohio area.

I knew I probably needed to upgrade my tow vehicle for the travel trailer we have on order, but I was planning to wait and see if my 2020 GMC Canyon Denali could handle it since I really loved it and its size. I stopped by Germain Ford one afternoon just to see what they had and ran across a 2020 F-150 Lariat that had been a demo used by Steve Germain. Since it was a demo, it was considered a new vehicle. So, I got a good price, the full warranty Ford starting with the approximately 5600 miles that was on it, a very fair price for my trade, saved almost $2700 in sales tax since it was new and got a great loan rate! Jaydee Bravard and the sales team did a great job and Finance did their job of finding me a great rate. They offered all the usual upcharge warranties and the like, but no hard sell. After my last car buying experience with a un-named dealership in Cincinnati, this was a dream! THANKS GERMAIN FORD!
Brent Ross was phenomenal. When I spoke with Brent a couple of days before my appointment, he walked me through every step of the process and provided professional answers to all of my questions. He told me he would meet me at the door for an 8am appointment and he did. He again, walked me through every step of the process, confirming each service and exactly what would be worked on. He then showed me to the lounge area and showed me how to make coffee and even offered me a desk if I wanted privacy to work while I wait. He followed up with me 3 times within a 2 hour service and provided updates. Once he found that the quote of service would change he brought that to my attention right away and we walked through it for approval. He then took me over to the service counter for payment and shook my hand. Afterwards, he came out to my car and shared a site where I could get my custom light changed out (this was not a dealer item) but he still gave me a recommendation. Just an awesome experience. Thank you Germain and thank you Brent. I will be back!
My mechanic jumped my car on Saturday but it wouldnt start today. He tried to get the battery out and we had bought a new battery at AutoZone. I called Germain and they installed the new battery free of charge!! Great customer service!! I would recommend their Service Department to everyone!!
Great Experience!!! Coleton was so patient and knowledgeable. After visiting other car lots I still had no idea even what type of vehicle I wanted... a car, SUV or van. We spoke for a few minutes- told him about my family, what I like in my current vehicle and didnt like. He had me test drive an explorer and that was all she wrote. I was hooked!!! After a day of test drives, walking lots (we visited about 15) I am so excited to say I am in love with my car. I didnt settle just because my lease was expiring. I cant say enough good things about the Ford Family.
I took my new Ford Expedition in today for the first oil change. The service department was terrible. I walked into the lobby while 5-6 men were at their work stations and it took over a minute for someone to acknowledge me and say something, even though several looked at me. Then they didnt have my appointment in the system, blaming a computer issue. When I got in my car to leave they hadnt reset the computer so the oil change warning was turned off. I was so mad I just figured it out myself instead of waiting on someone to do it for me. This is also why we didnt purchase the car here...snotty, elitist attitude. King Ford in Cincinnati was where we bought the car and so much better service all the way around.
Sales manager was very rude when asking to lower the price of a truck. The rocker panels are rusted through to where I can stick my finger through it. Only gave me $300 off when its costing me $2000 to fix it. He said if I didnt want if for that price someone else would come and buy it without asking any questions. Be VERY careful buying used vehicles here.
I’d been searching for a 2021 Bronco for the longest. An online sales rep set me up with a test drive with Justin Ellis who is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. I test drove the one I found online at 6:30pm, but saw they had an Outer Banks model with the full package. Justin left me with his card and I ended up texting him at about 10pm that night telling him I wanted the Outer Banks before someone else swooped it up. So between 10pm that night and 10am the next morning, just had texted me everything I needed to get the application done and even called me in the morning to take a payment over the phone so he could mark it sold.I’m so happy with everyone that assisted me in this process, even the finance department and cashier. I love my Bronco so much and will be sending anyone else who’s in the market to Justin and the good folks at Germain Ford.
Great experience with Nick Eckard and the Service team fixing an issue with my Edge that popped up last night. Dropped off this morning without an appointment and was out same day. I have had nothing but good experience with the Service team at Germain! Highly recommended!
I approached Germain Ford on Sawmill Road several weeks ago and asked my Sales Associate, Brynden, and David Gibson to help me find a new Ford F150 6 cyl 3.5 L full Hybrid, Super Crew, four wheel drive, 2.4 W Pro Power on board inverter, 10 speed automatic, XLT and much more. I am pulling a 30 travel trailer and it feels like there is nothing behind me.Germain tracked down my truck and had it ready for me quicker than Ithought.The truck is great and so was the service and sales process. I recommend this dealership to anyone.

Horrible, horrible service. Called and made an appointment for servicing. I took the car in at 7:00 am, when I scheduled, I said i needed it back by 12:00. Scheduler said nor problem. When I came back at 2:00 pm the next day-- nothing. The car was still parked in the back. The guy at the intake service desk said I would have to go in to get the keys. I looked in and there were 2 of the 5 intake people without masks. I am at high risk, so will never go back to Germain for anything.
Everyone at Germain Ford is outstanding. The environment is very welcoming and everyone is willing to help. I have been getting my car serviced here for years and every time they do an outstanding job. All service provides go above and beyond to make sure my car runs to the best of its ability. Highly recommend this dealership!
I’ve been bringing my SUV to Germain since I moved to Columbus 3 years ago and I have had excellent service from everyone that I have worked with. I have to give a shout out to James Pool in the Quick Lane. I moved to Cleveland in the summer but it’s worth it to me to being my car here for service when I am in town. I was very happy with the Sales department. Our Rep was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I would consider buying again from here but due to the trade value offered on my trade, I will look else where too.... I took my vehicle, less than a mile away, to CarMax and was offerered $2,500 more. I had it sold to them within the hour of Germains’ ridiculously low offer.
I reached out to the folks at Germain Ford because I had a part that my vehicle didnt come with that I had purchased for another source but they had to install it. After a phone conference call between the service manager and a couple mechanics, I took them the part, the instructions from the seller and met with the person who was going to be doing it, we laid everything out and they were able to get it done. I am so happy with my experience there. Wonderful job, I will for sure be bringing my car back for regular service.
The Germain Ford service department and specifically service advisor Dan Cook are absolutely worthless. I dropped off my car on Sunday night with transmission issues and they said Monday morning they couldn’t get to it till Friday. They didn’t offer a rental or anything for a 2020 model with less then 3000 miles. I called another dealership and they were able to get me in within an hour and the fix was a 20 minute software update that the service advisor was able to determine in 5 minutes. There are choices out there and Germain should be the absolute last resort.
WOW! I had a wonderful experiance at Germain Ford! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. This was the best experience I have ever had at a Ford dealership- and I have been going to Ford dealerships since 2011 for all maintenance upkeep. I needed and oil change this time which, at previous dealerships, would take upwards of 3 hours. Not at Germain Ford! My entire time spend there was MAYBE 50 minutes and they gave me a carwash without me even asking. As little as it sounds, it really showed how much the staff wanted to take care of my vehicle. At other dealerships, it was like pulling teeth to have someone spray off my car with excuses such as, too busy right now, we will see if we can get it in. Overall, I would recommend Germain Ford to anyone who wants friendly, quick, and efficient service.
Amazing service. Dan and Dean helped me get new tires and an oil change first This this morning. This is a busy place but they treat everyone with the same kindness and respect. Edit to my review. I thought i dealt with just a few hiccups in the beginning. Little added on charges that were not quoted for simple by the book work things I had serviced. $75 here and there. I try to call now and no answer. I scheduled work and asked to talk to someone about the upcoming work no call back and you do not get answer. I needed a new key as it was not working and they told me it was impossible to get one . I had a horror story of someone breaking into my car and finally oh yes we can get you a key. I am a very tolerant and easy person to please but the little things are started to add up and not impressed. Planned on buying new here shortly. I wont go here. This place is huge so I am sure that does not dent to them but not impressed.
I have been coming here to buy cars and get them serviced since Germain bought the dealership. They are great from sales, service and customer care. In service, Dan has been helping me for years with my service needs. He is great and so are everyone that works in the Service area. Thanks so much to everyone. It is a dealership you can trust!
The service department was very nice to me. The sales GM is a rude grimey sales man. I have never had SO MANY issues with a car that I had with my ford. I had it for three years and it was in the shop almost every three months for faulty parts and issues that continued to happen even after brand new parts were put in and it was nothing that I could have done to prevent it because it was fords building that was the problem but you know my specific vin number was not under the recalls that my exact same car had so it didn’t matter to them at all, they could care less after you buy it it’s your problem. I would never recommend a ford to anybody and I will never own another ford.
I bought my Mustang elsewhere, but service it here. We bought my wifes Fusion from Germain, though. I thought our salesperson was helpful, friendly, and not at all the pushy, kinds of sleazy type you can find at some car dealerships. We got a fair deal on the car, with a minimum of hassle, and good service since then. They have even provided free loaner cars when weve needed them. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another car from Germain.
Although I didn’t end up buying my car from here, I would still highly recommend Germain. The entire team is welcoming and helpful. Michael G is a great salesman and takes the time to explain everything you need to know about the car you are looking at. You are in good hands here.
My family has purchased 4 vehicles at Germain Ford and have had our cars serviced there for over 20 years. We have always had a great experience with the sales staff (Lee Green, in particular)! The Service Dept. has taken excellent care of our cars and if they havent met expectations for any reason (which is rare), they always make it right. I would never take my car anywhere else.
Brought my fleet car in on a Monday for regular service and that my check rear park assist dummy light was on. Was told that part for the latter needed to be ordered and would probably be in by the end of the week. A week and a half went by and I did not hear back, so I called the service adviser to check on status of part and left a message. No call returned. A week later I called the service manager, again just wanted a status update. Left a message, no call returned. Then about a week later took invoice to another Ford dealer to see if they could do the repair, adviser there recognized the name of Germains adviser, and told me that if Germain had already ordered the part, that he could not help me (must be some sort of service dept code of conduct). one day later Germaine adviser called me back to say part was in (coincidence? I think not). When scheduling appointment, I asked if this was something that could be done quickly such that I could wait on it, and he replied that it should not take long at all Brought it in at appointed time and was told that it would take an hour or two at least (different service adviser actually took the time to talk to the tech who does the work (only reason I give them one star)). I admit, my fault for not asking what not long at all means in the first place.Bottom line, two calls, simply asking for status, not being returned at all is unacceptable. I understand that fleet service may not be high on their priority list, but they should know that in the last 3 years, I have purchased two personal vehicles from this dealership. Not only will they no longer be serviced there, but future purchases will be made elsewhere as I do enjoy Fords vehicles.
My work vehicle is a Ford unfortunately, and breaks down constantly. I brought it to Germain to have 2 issues serviced on 7/23. They had the vehicle for a week and called me to pick it up on 7/30. When I arrived I was told they couldnt fix one of the issues, when asked if they fixed the other they stated that it slipped their mind. They had the vehicle for a week and did nothing to it. Im currently standing in their lobby making an appointment at another dealership...dont waste your time!
I spent a lot of time looking before I bought my current car and I’m glad I went with this dealer. The entire experience was great and I come back here every time my car needs service or routine maintenance. I have never had a bad experience with Germain and I have been doing business with them for several years now.
The service at Germain Ford is always top notch. I was greeted with a smile by Dave in the garage and Charlie at the service desk. My oil change was smooth and quick. I appreciate that they let me know about my breaks that were very low, but didnt push me to get them done there (I changed them myself over the weekend). Overall high quality service and very pleased, will do business here again!
I was looking at a Buick Lucern they put a new set of good tires on the car. When they brought it out it was all shiny and detailed. I left happy. After I had purchased the car I noticed a damaged part so I drove the car in and talked to the customer service. They took good care of me and let me use a courtesy car while they fixed the problem. The whole time they treated me like a VIP and my customer experience was very good. I plan to be a repeat customer and would recommend them to friends and family. Thank you Germain.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I would give a ZERO STAR if I could.We took our vehicle in back in June to get serviced, yes back in JUNE. They told us that we needed a new engine and that it would be covered under the warranty, however Ford needed some pictures in order to approve the claim. We have now been waiting over 3 months for a technician to be available to do the work... over 3 MONTHS! How is it possible that a dealership this big doesnt have enough techs, or capable techs in order to fulfill this work in a timely manner?? Oh and also the kicker in this situation, the non-existent communication has been just outstanding. No one calls us, to update us. To check in and make sure to let us know that the vehicle is still trying to be serviced. When you do get a hold of someone they say ok let me get some answers and get back to you but nobody ever calls back. Just more waiting and waiting. We tried to negotiate just selling the vehicle to them, and due to a price difference they declined? Dont really know since nobody ever got back to me. Not a huge price difference mind you! I am at a loss for words for how horrific the customer service has been, I wouldnt advise ANYONE using this dealership!
Purchased a used pickup. Salespeople were nice but don’t always do what they say. Used car sales mgr did not follow through on making my experience good. Vehicle has steering issues that were to be looked at. Didn’t fix it before I purchased. I guess they are not concerned about selling a vehicle that might not be safe. Just make sure you get everything explained before you assume it will be road ready when you buy used. Vehicle drop off, service scheduling and vehicle disinfecting went great. Wasnt sure what experience would be like but the team at Germain Ford appeared thoroughly prepared for the difficult circumstances we all find ourselves in during these times. Keep up the great work.
I purchased a 2017 F-150 in May. This was my first new vehicle that I have purchased from any dealership. I upon leaving the dealership I noticed that the GPS was jumpy or seemed a bit slow as well as the radio was slow to respond. Seemed to have a one to two second time delay. After 3 dealership visits for this issue I am now being told that the ford display is not covered in any of the warranties that I have and that now I have to spend yet ANOTHER GRAND to fix a defective part that ONLY ford can service. They also had the wrong mailing address so my documentation to get my tags had been returned to the dealership and NOBODY tried to contact me either to update my address nor to let me know? The rest of my interaction was standard but after financing close to $40,000 now I have to invest another $1000 if I want the ford display to function as designed. I do have a claim with the manufacturer but still no resolution from either the dealerships nor Ford. I am looking at trading this in for a Dodge or Toyota? FORD may lose me as a result of this experience...
The customer service I received today was top notch. From my check in with Charlie R, the service manager carrying my child’s car seat without being asked, the rental car experience, to the pick up of my explorer. This was my first experience with this dealership and won’t be my last. I will buy/service here from now on because of how wonderful they were today. I wish every business treated you this way. I even made an error on where I was supposed to take my car for service and Charlie made it so smooth and worked me right in without making me feel bad. Thank you!!!
My wife and I had the privilege of buying a new car from Michael Ward (sales) at Germain Ford of Columbus. The overall experience was top-rate and Michael, as well as Ben Thomas (new car sales mgr), made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Michael/Mike was very transparent about all financials and worked diligently to follow-up with the appropriate party if he couldn’t directly answer one of my countless questions. Bob in finance was really great to work with as well; giving me all of my options and answering questions honestly. 6 out of 5 stars across the board!I’m happy with my decision and I would definitely recommend and buy from them (Mike, Ben, & Germain Ford) again! Not much to say but they offered me 2500 for my trade in and Carmax offered me twice as much and that was no commitment with Carmax where I wanted to trade in towards a $40,000 truck at germain. Just thought I’d share . I won’t even be returning there for service anymore. I preferred their service before the renovations. Based on my experience I wouldn’t even consider them for purchasing a new or used vehicle.
Sometimes I feel like folks think I am making it up! My service experiences with Germain Ford continue to be excellent, and I even look forward to them.It is a great feeling to feel welcomed, and like a person, not just a number. To know you are keeping your car maintained, and that the wait can be a nice break in the day versus a dreaded thing you have to do.The associates (specifically mine! I began having my 2015 Mustang GT serviced at Germain. They have always been great to me and my vehicle. When you receive good customer service, you tend to stick with them. Loyalty is important, so I decided to purchase my new car with Germain. Probably my next one also.
I recently had bought a New/Used Ford Edge from Germain Honda, So my thought process was that I need to go to Germain Ford since it is a Ford and not a Honda.I wanted to reset the door code so i could have key less entry like i did on my 2009 Escape... I called Germain Ford, and asked to speak to service about how to go about this..The woman that answered said she wasnt sure so she said she would get me with someone that would know...1. She just cold transferred me, In my opinion it is super rude to just cold transfer someone after they explained what they need because you are having to explain the situation over again to a new person.2. It went straight to voicemail...So being that it was only 2pm.. I decided to call back a little later..I called back.. the same exact thing happened. Cold Transfer and voicemail.I called back again and asked that I speak to an actual person please.. She said that it was close to closing time and that they probably wouldnt be able to fit me in anyway.This whole situation wasnt customer service friendly what so ever!When I did talk to someone they said it would cost $300 bucks to have them pull the code! This is ridiculous!So I did some homework and just did the work myself and found where the factory code was and reset it on my own.I was very very disappointed in the customer service at Germain Ford.. Just the slightest things can make people more at ease when they have just bought a new car and trying how to work it when it comes to new technology, Or any situation in general..I highly doubt I will be coming to Germain Ford ever again, if i can help it. They are almost as bad as Ricart Ford!
At a crazy and difficult time due to COVID-19, my partner (an at-risk person) and I ventured out to look at cars. We each bought 2019 Ford Edges! From the beginning, our salesman Kris C., was extremely cognizant of the virus situation and accommodated us by wearing mask & gloves, sanitizing each car we tested (3), found secluded places for us to avoid other human traffic and was gracious about doing so. The deals were fantastic and we will be honoring Germain Ford by being customers for a long time. Thank you Kris and Doug for your professionalism.

2022-04-10Germain has always been our place to get our vehicles serviced since we moved close by and their service has always been great. I had the pleasure of working with Scott on ordering a new 22 F150 and he was nothing short of stellar. He helped me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted in my vehicle and kept me up to date between the order and the delivery. Im grateful to have worked with Germain in the process and looking forward to spending some time in my new vehicle!

2022-01-15Germain did NOT charge me a dealer markup on my Bronco, when every other Ford dealer wanted to. These guys are wonderful to work with, especially Jaydee! Will always be a Ford man thanks to this dealership. I trust them with my GT350, my 5.0 GT, and now my Bronco.

2022-03-26Great place with personable and competent staff.They were very responsive throughout the whole process and even found a better financing option than what I was pre-approved for through another bank - and did so by running my credit ONCE. I was slightly upside down on a car I (shouldnt have) bought last summer, but they offered a very fair trade-in value that significantly lessened the gap.Im 3 hours away from the dealership so we figured out financing, warranty, etc. over the phone a few days before. Overall, I was only in the dealership about an hour. During that hour we walked through the cars features so I didnt have to cluelessly fumble through them on my own.Hands down the best experience Ive had buying a car, and Im totally using the free car wash perk next time I roll through Columbus :) Thanks guys!

2022-01-24I had a great experience buying a truck here. I traded my truck for a fair price and bought one at a price I was happy with too. Worked with Leah, who is awesome, to do a test drive and talk about all the details. She gave me a tour showing me all the features and how they worked. Signing all the papers was a breeze. I got the truck I wanted and Im very happy with it and the whole process. They will be my first stop next time Im looking for a vehicle.

2021-12-17Germain Ford of Columbus was OUTSTANDING! We previously had a 2015 Ford Escape that got rear ended and was totaled. With the current chip shortage in new vehicle manufacturing, we searched for three weeks for a new Escape. We searched in Cincinnati and Dayton to no avail. When we did find one in stock, it was gone before we could react. In somewhat desperation, we decided to call Germain Ford in Columbus on a Wednesday evening after finding a 2021 Ford Escape on their website. The vehicle was a courtesy car and was a first come, first serve situation because other potential buyers were interested in purchasing the vehicle. We decided that we didnt want to lose this opportunity and decided to attempt getting to the dealership before they closed. We contacted the sales representative, Micheal Ward, and he bent over backwards for us. The vehicle we were interested in was out (loaned to another customer). Michael drove out to the vehicles location to retrieve the car so we could look at it and test drive it. The dealership was closing at 7:00pm (we didnt arrive until 6:30pm), but Micheal, the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager all stayed and provided superior service in letting us thoroughly inspect the vehicle, drive the vehicle, and make the deal. All said and done, we did not wrap it up until around 9:00. They insisted on cleaning and detailing the car, so we returned the next afternoon to pick up the vehicle. Scott, another Salesman, assisted us because we were on a time crunch and Michael was with another customer when we arrived. Scott arranged for our temporary tag and Jean (vehicle tech guru) gave us another thorough introduction to the car familiarizing myself and my wife on all the electronics and accessories. After a horrible visit to another dealership in the Cincinnati area, Germain instilled trust, loyalty and honesty in dealing with us, meeting our needs, and exemplifying the same superior service that we received in our 2015 Escape purchase at Germain Ford of Beavercreek, Ohio. 2022-04-05I bought a Ford Mustang GT in 2021 from Carvana because I liked the idea of not going to a dealership, and all that comes along with that. This past weekend, I found a Ford F150 at Germain that was exactly what I was looking for, so I reached out and started the credit approval process etc. Being able to take care of most of the up-front paperwork online saved a lot of time all around. Corey Chaffin worked with me on the pre-sale part and was fantastic to work with, very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable on the vehicle I was interested in. Prior to going to the dealership and signing paperwork, Corey even took a great video inside and out of the truck, highlighting the features he knew I was interested in, which was great. Something you will never get from Carvana or other online car dealer, or Id imagine any dealer in general. The in-person experience at Germain for signing paperwork and actually taking receipt of the vehicle was just as good. Everyone I worked with was friendly and courteous and not the least bit pushy with anything. I felt as if everyone I engaged with was there to help me get what I wanted, make the right decisions in doing so, and not push me on anything I didnt want. This is exactly the kind of experience I want and had I known was available at Germain, I wouldve started buying vehicles here sooner. Im sure I will be a repeat customer. And most importantly: I LOVE MY NEW F150!!!
