These guys are AWESOME! Very fair and reasonable prices. I trust that they wont try to take advantage. They helped me maintain my Eagle Summit for 15 years and currently my 11 year old Honda element.
A++...Professional, friendly, honest... just some of the wonderful qualities that are unfortunately not seen in businesses anymore. I just moved to the area and I was worried I would not be able to find a mom and pop repair shop that would be willing to work on my Mini Cooper, as most places shy away from foreign cars. After going here, I will only take my car to Gateway Auto Clinic!! Theyre trustworthy and the prices are extremely reasonable. From the minute I walked in the door I felt like I was being treated like family. Thank you for all your help and I will be referring my friends and family your way! I am adding to my google review because I had another WONDERFUL experience with Gateway Auto Clinic! My SUV had been sitting for more than 8 months and they gave me honest feedback on what repairs I needed to make sure my vehicle was safe and ready for the road. They called me several times to provide updates and had my vehicle ready the same day! I would never receive such professional and speedy service anywhere else. I LOVE this place and have recommended them to all of my friends and everyone I meet. Thank you!!!!!
This is the only place in the Dayton area that I will let touch my car. After several horror stories with other places where they damaged my car and attempted to lie about it I came to Gateway through a recommendation by a friend. That was 3 years ago and I have never for a second considered going elsewhere. Give them a shot and you wont be disappointed.
Been here twice so far, both times the results were fantastic. Once, my car wouldnt start, they didnt even charge me and figured out it was the mass airflow sensor almost immediately (replaced it myself). Second time I had misfiring cylinders, and they had it fixed by that afternoon.They do charge a good bit for diagnostics, but they are very fast and dont overcharge.
Gateway Auto Clinic is, by far, the best facility I have ever had the privilege to have work done! The personnel is phenomenal... the most caring people... all of them! Dan and Greg made my out of town repairs the easiest ever! They went way out of their way to get my car and my sons done very quickly. I feel like I have made many new friends going to Gateway Auto! Their workmanship is beyond fantastic!! Dan even drove me home and picked me up... that is something most places wouldnt even think about doing! Thank you Gateway Auto Clinic... you are TRULY the best!!! I HIGHLY recommend this facility to ANYONE that needs any kind of automobile repair!!! THANK YOU!!!
I live a ways from Gateway so I dont get there often but I really appreciate their service. They charge much less than the dealer where I purchased the car. The most recent repair was to the fan that circulates air within the car. They had the foresight to get the part ahead of my visit in the expectation that it might be needed. The repairs were finished very quickly. I also appreciate how friendly the workers are.
Ive been a customer of Gateway Auto for many years and will continue to get my cars serviced and repaired there. The owners are honest, friendly and know their business. They stand behind their work and are even willing to go above and beyond. I have older model cars and on more than one occasion Bob and Dan have gone out of their way to locate parts, etc. for my vehicles. Theyre the best. I highly recommend Gateway Auto to anyone that wishes to keep their cars well maintained.
We have been taking our cars to Gateway for 14 years and trust them completely to do a quality job at a fair price. Bob and Dan are always friendly and thorough in discussing the problem and the recommended repair. Recently, they worked with my extended warranty company to save me over $400 on replacement of front shocks and struts. No one likes paying a big car repair bill but it is great to know we can count on the guys at Gateway to get the job done quickly and right! Even my dog loves when we go there because he knows he will get a treat (or 2 or 3)--friendly service even for the dog!

Dan is hands down, the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He truly cares about the safety of you and your vehicle. He explained my options and completed everything very fast! I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else and I cannot recommend GateWay Auto more!!

Ive always believed that making it to a local shop is the best choice. Coming here for that reason and getting great service reassures me that I was right. Ive been here many times in the last few years and Ive never had an issue or been worried about issues with my car when Ive left. The estimates are very consistent and competitive, but youll get great customer service and great insight that you may not find anywhere else. Id much rather pay a bit more to take it somewhere I trust and have them do it right the first time, rather than to a chain and have more problems often. Ive also noticed they use very good quality parts, which goes into the pricing as well.Overall, very friendly mechanics working here and I have yet to have any issues, so I would recommend this place.
I have lived in the area for less than a year and shortly after arriving I had no trouble deciding on which auto service shop I would choose. Bobby and the rest of the men at Gateway are always amiable and neighborly. They quickly accomplish the work you ask them to do at the appointed time (i.e. they dont overbook), and are very clear in discussing any other maintenance or repair items your car needs, giving you quotes but without pressuring you. Plus you get free coffee while you wait! Highly recommended.
I absolutely love this place. Ive taken two different cars to these guys and they always fixed everything that was wrong in a really timely manner. The prices are always affordable, in my opinion. The guys also have a lot of integrity and they have never been shady or condescending. Ive always gone to this place by myself and never once felt uncomfortable (as I have in other auto shops around Ohio). Theyve always been very friendly as well and explained things to me (even providing images to help explain) in a way that I can understand exactly what needed done. Im glad I found this place because there are a ton of auto shops/mechanics out there that are always trying to overcharge and even damage your car so youll have to bring it back in. Ive had none of that with these guys. I highly, highly recommend them.
Dan and his team are awesome. There the best , fair and honest. They are the only people that I will let work on my car. After getting screwed over at jiffy lube they fixed everything and made my car safe for my wife and children. Thank you Dan
A great place to get your cars and trucks to bee repaired . From oil change . tires brakes and they do alignments.
Cant say enough about the Gateway guys. My wife has taken her cars to them for years and I started doing the same. You may pay a few bucks more but you will get excellent service for the money. They fix things right the first time and dont recommend work the car doesnt need. Take your car to Gateway first and avoid the hassles with other shops guessing what the problem may be.
A++ Awesome. I have a Volvo R model that is not easy to work on, difficult to get parts for and they did an incredible job. They are very honest and thorough ,even the estimate was dead on. I highly recommend Gateway Auto Clinic.
They were great to get our vehicle in and out on the same day, and even offered me a ride to and from my house. However, we got our alternator fixed and it was $$$. Our friend’s alternator went out the following week and they got it repaired for half the cost at another shop in town.
Very impressed with these guys! Took a vehicle in for a Check Engine light. They were friendly, professional, and a no-nonsense, no-bull approach. They communicated well, did the work quickly, very reasonable charge, and Im won over. Id definitely return here as a customer.
My car is having issues starting up they pulled it in and found out that the battery was toast, I had just replaced it a few months prior. They suggested getting the warranty from the point of purchase which I did, my car is starting up just fine now. They didnt charge me for my visit which was less than 20 minutes. Ill be taking my car there for any serious issue from now on.
I really like the friendly atmosphere here. You can trust that they will fix your car right or complete an oil change and not try to sell you something you dont need. They are very timely and keep to your scheduled time of service.

2021-10-13I felt like everybody that works at Gateway Auto is honest and truly genuine. They really wanted to help. Called other auto repair shops and they all said it would be 2 weeks to fix my truck. Gateway said 5 days but they had it done in 3. There is a plus. I will be taking all my automobiles to Gateway from here on. Thank you!

2021-07-05These guys are great!! I was having car issues on and off for a long time and was so tired of getting the run around and never getting the issues figured out. I searched for mechanics and saw Gateway Auto come up with great reviews and gave them a try.They were all around just awesome! They had great customer service, were up front about everything and just so easy to work with (plus they were able to figure out what was going on and fix my car :) Highly recommend them!

2021-03-18My husband and I went to Gateway auto for an inspection of a car we were looking to purchase. They were very thorough, helpful, and even gave us good advice as as far as purchasing the car. We dont live close to this auto repair shop, but their kindness has earned a pair of new customers. We will gladly make the 40 minute drive for the service it self. We are so appreciative.

2021-07-25This place was recommended and after visiting it to have my differential fluid changed I know why!Dan is knowledgeable, honest, and supplies written estimates for what he finds that will be need to be done soon.I felt no pressure too complete any recommended services. I will use them again.I was doing my laundry next door while they worked on my car and Dan even walked over after my car was done to let me know. Thats good service!

2020-12-15Competent, honest. These are two words that sum up my impression of Gateway Auto. I’m a fleet maintenance supervisor and in all my dealings with Gateway, they have been very detailed, and helpful. They have gone so far as recommending I take a vehicle back to the dealership to have a repair covered under warranty, saving my organization thousands. They have been in business for many, many years and I’ve never heard anything bad about them. You can trust what they say to be true.

2021-06-15My husband took his car in to have them look it over and check out a couple issues. They were thorough and told him what they believed to be the issue. It was something he could do at home. They were extremely nice, told him if that didn’t fix the issues to come back and they would reassess the problem. They could have charged us an exorbitant amount of money to change something that wasn’t even bad, but they were honest and trustworthy. We will definitely be taking our vehicles back if it’s something my husband can’t do at home.
