We purchased several pies 2 we tried yesterday the key lime pie was amazing the strawberry pie my husband liked it but I was not a big fan of it. The strawberries were diced up and so a lot of the flavor was lost. We had their cherry pie 3 days ago and that was FANTASTIC & what brought us into Gardner Pie Co in the 1st place. Definitely get the cherry pie!!!!
This place is pie heaven. Ive never had a pie I didnt like here. The prices are almost giving them away. Very friendly and pleasant sales people. Its a bit of a drive for me. So when I go, I load up my freezer. They make great gifts too. Who doesnt love an awesome home cooked pie.
If you havent bought pies here yet, you are missing out! Fruit pies, cream pies, seasonal pies, theyre all great. This time we picked up a cheese cake too! Amazing. It was almost as good as my made from scratch recipe. I actually enjoyed it the most without adding a cherry topping. They also have brownies! Try them all, you wont be disappointed. Get there early for the best selection. I would rate the prices as $. Heres a bonus tip, Try the apple walnut pie.
If you like pie then you will never find a better place to go. They are fresh and a great price. Just a word of advice. Do not go there wanting a specific pie because the favourites run out fast. Just go there wanting pie in general and check out all the choices they have available. I never even knew there was a such thing as pineapple upside down PIE!!! not cake....a pie and it was delicious. Maybe you will discover a new pie like I did.
Didnt get there until after 10:00 a.m. this morning. Was not a very good selection to choose from because of late arrival. Gardner Pie still have the best pies and prices in Ohio. I have a family reunion tomorrow in West Virginia and everyone expects me to bring Gardner Pies. They are well liked in West Virginia 😊 too!
The Pie Co. is a large factory with an outlet. It is located in the beautiful Portage Lakes along roads that are very interesting to drive. The outlet sells cream and fruit pies to sigh for. These pies are distributed nationwide at prices exceeding double what you pay at the outlet. I havent tasted a commercially made pie that compares. The bakers have created recipes that balance a high sugar content with adequate tartness. YUM! Todays 10 inch heavy fruit pies are $6.50. Wonderful price.
If you dont know about Gardner Pie, you have been losing out on a great treat. They post a list of available pies daily at this outlet shop. The pies range from $2-$10. Many are in the $4.50 range. Super good pie. I recently bought five pies for $20. Bought pies here for both of my kids weddings. About $120 to feed 150 people. Love red raspberry and peach melba. They do sell out of some of the popular flavors. They have a Facebook page.
Pies are the best but we were outside in the cold an employee was showing a salesman out and he wanted a pie and she said to him oh come back inside no need to stand in the cold as an elderly lady and myself were standing there clearly we didnt matter that was uncalled for ..... she needs to be taught a lesson on how to treat the customers especially the elderly lady freezing 🥶
Buy as many as 15 pies at a time or as little as one. They are all delicious. I order many pies for church gatherings.I always have a few frozen in my freezer so if company drops by. I freeze them and after they are frozen I take them out of the pie pan and put them in my own glass pie pans. Put them in the microwave for 7 minutes on high and call them Home Baked. Have been ordering these pies for many years even before they moved from Barberton, OH.
I have eaten their pies for years but it has been about a year since I had one. Somethings changed. The crust used to be very moist and the kind grandma made and not too sweet. Not anymore. I always got the the blueberry pie and it was one I would take to relatives in Canada with its melt in your mouth pie crust. Not anymore. It has an no taste and reminds me of a grocery store crust. I wonder if something changed in the recipe. Thick tasteless pastry. It certainly is not flakey for pie crust. There was plenty of blueberries and the blueberries were good, but I would eat a half a pie in the past, not this time. I Ate one slice and that was all I wanted. Not exceptional but not bad. Just regular grocery store pie. I thought it may be me and a neighbor friend bought a berry pie and said that the crust was similar to mine and while she would serve it, she would not go out of her way again to buy a Gardner pie. Not like before. Wonder if the company got bought out.
I give them high marks for the pies, delicious is an understatement. I went there and they do not take EBT as payment. Actually got kinda rude when I asked. Maybe it is just the stigma of using an EBT card, but when I was laid off it is a lifesaver. No need to be like that and by all means consider this type of transaction. I went way out of my way to go there. Left empty handed and sad. Happy thanksgiving Garfener Pie.
It is an outlet store so u take ur chances as to what u can get -- not living in this area ( Im from willowick ) I do not need 2 drive this far -. I understand from other women n men that made this trip that theses pies r the best -- I did get a small pumpkin n I well let everyone no if it was worth the trip !!!

2022-07-11Shipping/Receiving off of N Turkerfoot rd.Decent space for maneuvering, unless theres a tanker there. Youll need to back in from road in that case.Youll buzz in, they dont let you in.Received a door right away.Theyll bring paperwork out when completed.Out within 45 minutes.

2019-08-20First visit yesterday, cant believe the incredible prices! Got a peanut butter cream pie (DELICIOUS) for $6.50 Took a few photos too. If it had been earlier in the day, there wouldve been more pies in the case. :)

2021-02-26The people are really friendly and theyre great to do business with. Their outlet store was really busy when I stopped by and a lot of people rave about the quality. They set up a little outside stand to keep people safe from COVID-19 and people were driving up to pick up their pies. What a great local company in Akron.

2019-09-28They have the best fresh pies! Theyre all reasonably priced too. Its better to get there earlier in the day because they start selling out of popular flavors by 1-2pm. This is the colonial apple pie!
