Food is nicely portioned and mediocre. Service is usually slow and most of the waiting staff seem to not be interested in checking back up on your table once you are seated (especially if you are sitting outside). Every time I have ate here, Ive had to get up and order my drinks at the bar...because the wait staff takes forever to come to your table to place an order.
I love the fact that they have a patio.Today was a beautiful day to sit outside. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the food. They make huge burgers and give you lots of fries. They also have a variety of starters that are delish.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
My dad is the nicest man of all time. The server almost dropped snot into my boyfriends beer. If she had allergies or a cold then I get it but it’s not appetizing. Then when my dad waved a hand to get her attention because his order was wrong and she said “I thought it was a big emergency” you know what I’m glad it wasn’t he’s 72 years old you’re rude and he was nothing but nice. We come there a ton I am super disappointed. No one treats my amazingly nice and friendly father that way. You need better staff.
I got to spend some time in the kitchen. Suffice to say.Do not eat here.Employees smoking in the kitchen over food food sat out uncovered over nightPiles of bacon sat out in the open over nightPiles more fresh cooked bacon on top no fifo.Got several health code and fire code violations
Please dont eat here for your own sake. By far worst ribeye steak in the world. I would dare to say they cooked it in a microwave and their house potatoes had and eye lash on them. Im not one to rate places never the less I wont give a bad rating I just simply wont go back. But man this is bad. Dont waste your time or money.
Great food! I had the buffalo wrap... highly recommend it! Sweet potato fries were good. Waitress was nice... gave me a brief history of the location. Friendly atmosphere and lots of food and drink options. Parking is a little tight but worth the effort. Seems like a popular place so expect crowds around lunch and dinner.
Since Ive moved here in 2013 this has been our spot!! I love how they treat us! I love the atmosphere most of all we love the food!! Thank you Gahanna Grill for being our family dinner lunch celebration spot!! Any little event in our lives .we say lets Go To The Grill💖
We got carry out and food was great. Onion rings are probably right up there with the best we have ever had. Reuben and Cheeseburger were top notch too. Portions are exactly what they should be.Only negative was that there was a bad smell in the restaurant, so I was glad we got our food as carryout.
I just left Gahanna Grill. I ordered the Some Like It Hot burger. As soon as it got to the table, we realized the ciabatta bread had mold on it. So we pointed it out to the manager, and all she did was pick it up to look at it then said “it looks bad”. I normally don’t post things like this, but I just found it really unacceptable that there wasn’t even an apology. Just saying it looks bad when we were about to consume mold due to there lack of care it was not hard to see atall.
I wish we could give zero stars. That is exactly what this restaurant deserves. We were here on Friday evening, September 24, 2021. They have a, Seat yourselves. No problem, we found a table out on the patio. We were almost immediately brought menus. After that, we NEVER seen a wait staff member for a minimum of 20 minutes. When the waiter came to his table behind him, we asked who was the waiter/waitress for our table. First, he acted super annoyed that we had stopped him and asked him a question. He reluctantly said he would get our waitress.A short time later the same waitress that brought us our menus came back, and again like the other waiter, she acted as if we were being an inconvenience. She took our drink order, and appetizers and we NEVER seen her again. The bar staff brought our drinks, and another waiter brought our appetizers. After eating our appetizers and drinking our drinks no one once bothered to come back and check on us, nor take our meal orders. So, after almost an hour of very pathetic, poor service [if you can call it that] we left a $20.00 bill and a note on the table and walked out and left. Not one employee that worked at this restaurant appeared to even remotely care about customer service. I understand a lot of businesses are short staffed, and the employees they have are a bit overwhelmed. However, this was beyond that. We were more than patient, and was never once rude to anyone. They were also not even that busy for a Friday evening. Other patrons were getting some kind of service except our table and the other one behind ours from what we could tell. Will never return, nor recommend this business.Side note, the appetizer was mediocre at best. The potato skins tasted like microwaved skins, and the chicken fingers were most definitely frozen. So, maybe it was for the best we didnt get entrées from here. We ended up around the corner at Barrel & Boar where we ended up having fantastic service, and food. Will post their review next.
Came here for lunch during a Girls Day with my mother and daughter. I saw such good reviews and expected a nice lunch. It had a homey feel at first and seemed like a place that local folks really supported since the bar tender/manager knew several patrons by name. The Beanie burgers were pretty decent; rarer than normal, which was what we requested and the Onion rings were AMAZING! The food quantity was sufficient as well. What bothered us most was the disrespectful way a few of the staff spoke to and about each other in the middle of the dining room area full of customers. Even the manager was verbally correcting an employee right in the middle of the dining room. It made me very uncomfortable and set a tone for the whole experience.
Picked up order at the bar. Took the cashier/waiter/bartender guy a few minutes to get to me. He looked overwhelmed. Black bean burger was good. Big issue was the fries were COLD! I hate picking up food and having to microwave it,especially fries!! Might give them another chance. Place was crowded so i could have waited longer.
The atmosphere was good, staff was friendly, burger was good and juicy and cooked to temperature ordered. The coleslaw was underwhelming, could have used more seasoning. The buns for the burgers would have been nice grilled, especially with the beanie burger which has the cooling of the coleslaw on it. The fries were cooked well, like the texture, a little more salt couldve been good. Broccoli was steamed perfect, fresh and crisp. Good experience for the first time. I would try again.
Ive been a long-time customer of Gahanna Grill since its inception, and have always been more than pleased with both its food and service until today. Before I go any further, I do understand the ongoing impact of the pandemic on the restaurant industry as so many establishments appear to be short-staffed. I experienced this first-hand earlier today. I came in for dinner with my brother, and although we were seated immediately, it took about ten minutes for the server to reach our table and ask if we wanted drinks. Afterwards, we watched our server whisking back and forth into the kitchen, to the outdoor patio, and the bar. She was moving at a frantic pace and I felt for her. The restaurant wasnt packed as Ive seen it before, but it was getting there. By the time she stopped to take our order, it had been at least another 15 minutes from the time the drinks were dropped off. Then as I ordered my typical meal, their Prime Rib, which is served to my understanding all day on Sundays, I was told unceremoniously that due to staffing issues in the kitchen, she was instructed to inform customers that they were only serving certain entrees prior to 4pm, which didnt include Prime Rib. Needless to say, I was disappointed and made it known explaining that it what I come in for at Gahanna Grill. I was hoping the server wouldve asked if we could speak to a manager or someone in charge, but it didnt happen. I think she was simply overwhelmed and rightfully so due to understaffing. I paid for our drinks and left. I was upset initially, because it is a management issue and shouldve been handled as such. I dont blame our server. She was only following instructions. Ill be back again eventually, but will check with management before hand what is and isnt being served on the menu that day. Hopefully they will be adequately staffed by that point. Thanks.
Not very impressed with the service or atmosphere. My family and I are in from out of state and wanted to enjoy a nice meal, but unfortunately was the opposite. The server took forever to take our orders, food came out and it was cold and the taste was very bland. Flys were flying around us constantly and our server didnt come to check on us once to ask if we needed anything. We didnt get any silverware to eat our food with, because the server never came back I had to get up and go find someone to give me some silverware. Employees were sweeping things into the air while we were eating, making dust and other objects from the air fly our way. As well finally paid for our bill and were walking out we walked past three employees just sitting in a booth talking and didnt even say thanks for coming or goodbye. Not impressed at all. A real bummer.
Ratings stars for food, none for POOR service. I have 7 years restaurant industry service and am pretty understanding. If staffing is an issue, then you dont sit tables. We returned in hopes this visit would renew our negative impression. (First visit, I found hair in my food.) A quick wait for a table, but once sat, we waited over 10 minutes with no server. Once we saw another server greet a table that sat after us, I went to order our drinks from the bar and grab our own menus. 5 minutes later, were finally greeted so we input kids order and appetizer right away. Order came out quickly, but no silverware and missing dipping sauce ordered. A nearby table left before ordering bc service was too slow. Another table had to get their own silverware too. 20 minutes later had to flag someone down to order our dinner and another round of drinks. The server was nice when interacting but thats not serving. Food came in timely manner. On the positive, I like the fries, battered mushrooms and beer selection (and cheap!). We wont be back, especially once Signatures is open again.
We go here for lunch on occasion after church on Sundays. Weve never been disappointed with the food even when ordering something outside of our norm. The quality of the service is a little hit or miss at times, but the food is consistently good. They have some of the best fries youll ever have and their burgers are delicious! Parking can be a challenge at times as their lot is very small. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options which is nice. Next time you want a really good burger and fries, I suggest you give Gahanna Grill a shot, youll be glad you did!
Family of 5 sat at a table in the bar. Sat there with no one acknowledging we were there for 15 mins or so. Bartender finally told us that she told the server we were there. Server was not the most engaging person. Menu states that burgers come with slaw and fries, but received fries only. Buns were stale, I ordered a Beanie Burger, and was brought a Bacon Cheese Burger instead; easy fix, throw some slaw on it. Fastest thing our server did was take my card when it was time to pay the bill. Overall not a good experience. Drunk fella at the bar, which happens, but the bartender complains that the guy was saying inappropriate things because hes been drinking all day (um, so why are you serving him), inattentive service. I saw more kitchen staff in the bar area than I did front of house. Another server came to the POS to ring in orders twice while we were sitting there waiting, and never said anything to us until we were leaving. Food did not live up to the expectation! Service extremely lacking!
My wife and I have been wanting to try the Gahanna Grill for a while now and we are sorry we didn’t go sooner! Kim, our server, was excellent! She was fast, friendly, and efficient. The server who brought our food was also friendly and was quick to bring out our condiments. My wife got a BLT and raved over the bacon as usually restaurants make the bacon soggy and undercooked while Gahanna Grill cooked it perfectly. I ordered a Beanie burger and thought it had an excellent taste and was cooked perfectly. Going to try the Beanie Challenge next time. Prices may be a little higher but it’s isn’t McDonald’s and you have to pay for quality food. All of this and great music with a fun atmosphere was an added bonus.
Really cool place. They have a really nice patio area. Everyone is really nice and laid back. Ive only been there once but the place was packed on Friday night. I believe they may have bands in the summer but not sure. They definitely have the space for it. Im going back so I will update my review in the future.
This is a fantastic place for really good for a great price! Sundays kids eat free! They make a great Long Island iced tea 😁 and have a good beer selection. The beanie burger is tasty along with other items on the menu. Cool place to hang with friends or family. Stop in here if youre around Gahanna.Edit: 06/23/21Went out on a family bike ride through Gahanna and decided that stop in. They said seat wherever you want. We were acknowledged by one staff member and she took our drink orders. The kids got their drinks but my wife and I waited over 15 minutes and it never arrived. I looked around and it was not very busy. Everyone else was getting served except for our table. I tried to get someones attention but was ignored. After a couple of minutes after that we just stood up and left. No one acknowledged that we left either. I dont know what was going on but that was a total opposite of my first review.
The salmon salad was good, salmon was a little dry, but I enjoyed it and ate all of it. The service was very good, but the waitress didnt have her mask on. My sister mentioned it, and the waitress put her mask on. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the shade and eat.Note: On my second visit, we asked for the salmon to be less dry, and it was excellent! Thanks to the chef!
We had such a great experience at the gahanna grill! Amy the bartender is WONDERFUL! I truly don’t think I have had a bartender be as nice, efficient, and personable as her! I have been to many restaurants around gahanna and I defiantly will be back here if Amy is working. Others have been good also, but nobody compares to Amy! The food of course was delicious!
I have been to the gahanna grill twice now and am not a fan. The first time I went I ordered a taco salad and it came and it was with spring mix lettuce. I have never seen that and a taco salad before, but if I would have known I would have never gotten it. The next time I went I know they are known for their burgers so I got the mushroom swiss burger and they asked how I wanted it cooked and I said medium and it comes out and its well done... very very dry, tiny piece of cheese couple slices of mushrooms I had to ask for packets of mayo they brought me some I had to ask for more I put at least five packs of mayo and it was still very dry I most likely will not be returning
My husband and I had dinner at Gahanna Grill last night and it did not disappoint! Huge portions, friendly and prompt service. They were super busy but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The chicken fajitas were amazing and the chicken parmigiana was the absolute best Ive ever had! We will definitely be coming back !
Got lunch to go today. The food was ready in time quoted . Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and Philly , sides were fries and onion rings. Both sandwiches were wrapped in foil which kept them hot and moist . Fries and onion rings were crisp . Food was delicious !! As someone who gets a lot of takeout the Gahanna Grill gets it right , highly recommended!
My food was good, but by the time I got some ketchup my fries got cold. Started out with two little packs of ketchup that you cant get open and is enough for only 2 to 3 fries. I can understand not bottles on table. Put in little plastic cups. This virus is ruining eating out.
Few workers wearing masks properly- server wore it under her nose, and the bartender wore it under her chin, service was super sloppy, and the bathrooms were just abhorrently filthy. Cajun sandwich was insanely greasy, and it wasnt even fried. Definitely not going back here.
We ordered hamburgers today. Worst hamburger ever. All three of us left our hamburgers. The meat had no flavor. It tasted liked low grade beef. Now the fries are great and the spicy shrimp appetizer was so good.So disappointed in the hamburgers.Probably will not go back.I can not give a good review.
Beyond turned off by our experience at Gahanna Grill. After explaining to our server that she charged us to much for an add on soup to our meal (stated as “Add on a house salad or soup for $2.79.” on the menu) they refused to change the price on the bill saying the soup was $3.89 and you could only get that price for a side substitution. This is not how it is listed on the menu, and was a horrible way to handle a difference of $1.10! For subpar food and service, we surely won’t be back...hopefully their ownership can understand the impact of handling customer service so poorly.
I went there with my family for my birthday dinner. I love the hometown atmosphere. My server Kelly was fantastic. We had the ribs and wings special. All of my special requests were done perfectly without any problems. My son had the Bleu cheese burger, and he inhaled it down really fast. My sister had shrimp and chicken. The portions are very generous and the prices are really reasonable. Love the Grill!
Friendly staff. Quick service. Decent beer selection. Food was good. Restroom clean. They were working on one of the bathrooms so it was not in service. They have the other one labeled as unisex, so basically one person at a time. I dont know how long the other bathroom will be out if commision.
We had a soccer team dinner here. There was not near enough seating but the staff did an excellent job at getting everyone a seat eventually. Then the kitchen and wait staff did an excellent job at getting everyones orders and the food came out very quickly. I was very impressed being the first time here.
This is an incredibly busy place and we were hungry after flying. We had to hustle in and out to get back to Indy and I ordered the Fish and Shrimp basket. All good and especially the side of broccoli. Quick service, tasty for the most part, but it was packed - usually a good sign, as there were plenty of places around. Cordial staff and service oriented. OK but not award wining.
My son took me for a lunch date at the Gahanna Grill today. The experience was excellent! From the warm greeting as we entered, and sit wherever youd like to the smile and welcome from our waitress, who was also the bartender. She didnt miss a beat waiting tables, bartending, and listening to everybody in the room) We found a table near the bar, and every table in the place was occupied. It was Saturday 2pm, and consistently full from when we arrived until we left. I had the black bean veggie burger, and my son had the bacon cheeseburger. Both we cooked to perfection and delicious. The coleslaw was very good, and the fries were hot, crisp and tasty. As it was Saturday afternoon in early November, College Football was on all the TVs each of which was so strategically positioned, that all were easily visible. Five Stars and A+ for a fun environment, and wonderful meal!
Food is excellent and reasonably priced. The famous beanie burger, which has coleslaw on it, was delicious. The prime rib special was tender, well seasoned, and came with two sides. There is plenty of seating areas with an outside patio, a bar area, and two dining sections. The parking lot is small, but there is nearby on-street parking.
The Gahanna Grill is always a great place to eat! We eat here frequently, and the food - highly recommend the Reuben sandwich and the Beanie Burger - is always very good. The portions are large! The staff also is terrific. Friendly, prompt, and helpful. Atmosphere is casual and cozy - nice for talking over lunch or dinner with friends. Definitely recommend!
We had lunch on the pretty patio and it was delicious! The grilled salmon salad was great! Wait staff friendly! Clean ladies room too. Very enjoyable. The medium well hamburgers were a little over cooked but ok. Wish all chefs in Columbus would learn to cook hamburgers with no pink and still allow them to be moist and juicy, not easy to do!
Calamari was over cooked, steak was over cooked and not good quality for the price you pay, not impressed at all. Wont be going back.... on the other hand my waitress was good, but there was on male server there who had a nasty attidude and wouldnt even respond to his co workers when they asked him a question. Sad!!! Needless to say, definitely wont go back.
Gahanna Grill was a great place for burgers and fries. I had an issue with my burger at first (ordered it well done, it came to me medium), but it was quickly fixed with no fuss from anyone. The fries were amazing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. A great place to go for some good food.
I love the Gahanna Grill! They are friendly, fair priced and THEIR FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Its always fresh and I never get tired of their veggie burger and fries. The portions are huge and I can never finish them. This place is wonderful and if you find yourself in Gahanna I highly recommend you eat here, youll thank me later!
We use to go here every week for dinner. Its just standard pub food and the beer selection could be better. But all-in-all, the food is good. Weve always had good service here and enjoyed interacting with the staff. Good friendly people. Its worth giving this place a try. Just a note . . . we havent been there in a while, so the beer selection may have gotten better.
Get it together....smhOriginally seeming as a very laid back and warm environment. Similar to some of the other local spots in the area, Gahanna Grill is a nice place to watch a game with friends and family without the rowdy crowds that normally patronize neighborhood pubs and eateries. However, due to Covid-19 and a year of challenges worldwide, there seems to have been a distinctive shift in service, or the quality that was present. Theres no reason it takes 10 minutes for customers to be recognized and asked for their orders, and another 25 minutes to receive two burgers and fries. In addition to the lack of attention to customers already seated, the constant bickering amongst servers not knowing who is serving which section, and the nuisance of nagging flies at customers. Its sad that there is just no cohesion in what use to be a great place to grab a bite to eat. Not to mention, kitchen staff leaving their personal phones out in the dining area and constantly checking sports updates and texts.Dont take my word for it, go grab a BEANIE Burger. Its worth it.
Been here a few times and wanted to support local business. Unfortunately carry out was just not up to par. Dry, overcooked grilled chicken. 8 tiny wings was apparently a one pound, $10 order. The fish and chips was one huge chunk...potion size fine but fish and chips is supposed to be a nice compliment of fish to batter. You can imagine how soggy it was through the middle. I wish them the best dealing with this virus stuff but I’ll have to pass on their carry out.
I hate to do this but I have to say I will not be coming back here. After placing a reservation we were told to look around to see if something was available or they would make room. There was a table available and they cleaned it off quickly. That was the last of the quick service for the night. We waited 40 minutes to place an order.Drinks came out about 10 minutes prior to the food (so we waited 30 mins for drinks) and the person serving the beers didn’t know which brand of beer they had In their hand.Food came out fairly quickly after we were eventually allowed to order, everyone at the table got a burger. Somehow they forgot an entire meal. The server was lifting up buns just to tell which burger was what, and everyone was mystified about the missing burger, even though it showed up on our final receipt. Waitress said the “lost order” would be discounted but in the end just left us $3 in cash along with the bill. The food was ok. Decent burgers, good deal for the Monday $7 special, but nothing spectacular and certainly not worth returning to given the service.
PART 1....I had fish n shrimp with fries. Oooo boy. GREAT CHOICE. Very tastey. Along with a Miller Hi life beer. Enjoyed it greatly. Come hungry.!! And enjoy your friends here.Part 2....Girl friend took me here to Gahanna Grill. She ordered breaded mushrooms. The looked yummy. And big each one. But something looked strange. The dipped mushrooms had aOdd covering, I tryed one with the ranch dressing. Let me say!!!!NEVER BUY BREADED MUSHROOMS ANY OTHER PLACE. One bite and I could not stop eating them. We ordered another order. WOW, WOW. EXTREAMLY GOOD!!!I ordered a SRIRACHA MAYO BURGER.With Texas fries. ANOTHER great sandwich. I hear the steaks are best in town also? Well thats another story. No wonder Gahanna Grill. Has been in same spot sooooo, long!! GREAT FOOD. WONDERFULL SERVICE, GOOD PRICES. I look forward to go back a get my RYBEYE STEAK. I dont get paid to tell you this. YOU DECIDE!!!.
Not a fan. I was looking forward to a burger because I had heard good reviews. I ordered nachos as an appetizer and barely touched them. I had no desire to order anything else. The service was lacking and that was before they got busy. It got worse as tables filled. Probably wont be going back. The pink lemonade was good!
Friendly staff, fair pricing, a pleasant environment, and quick service. But above all else is that after about 10 total visits and ordering a different entree nearly every time, I have yet to order something that was not high quality and delicious.Personal favorites: ANY burger, grilled chicken wraps, and chicken/steak fajitas
I have on three occasions been put on hold when attempting to make a pickup order. All three times I have been left on hold for 10 plus mins, with no updates. I have hung up and called back only to find the phone line busy! I have found it faster to just order online through Grubhub. I love the food, but please remember the people on the phones.
Excellent great American food. We ate late evening appetizers plate (the combo), a cup of cabbage and hamburger soup. All was delivered at nice hot temperatures. All very tasty and reasonably priced. We sat on the outdoor patio facing Granville street in 86 degree weather until the sunset. Very pleasant and breezy! It was artic cold inside, which was tad chilly for us. Well definitely come back for their Beanie Burger. Although we werent super hungry, we had menu envy looking at it. It looked delicious!
The food is good, but recently when you call to order a lady picks up, tells you to hold and then just sits the phone on the counter and forgets about you. When you try to call back, it rings busy... I would have to assume the lack of customer service and the wait times are driving down business. Fix that, and no complaints! UPDATE: Downgrading to one star for not putting any dressing on my salad, or even sending a side of it. Way to ruin the salad I waited on hold for forever. Guess I wont be back.
I ordered the king prime rib cajun style to go. When I got home, I discovered the meat has turned (it was an off color gray-brown, sort of bark colored). I dont know why they would cook and serve bad meat, as I have never had a problem with them in 20 years, but it was what it was. The steak fries and mixed veggies were good, however. I ate them with a hot dog I grilled.
Gahanna Grill is a classic local bar and grill with oversized burgers and delicious fries and onion rings. We love to chill on their outdoor patio every chance we get. While the service can take some time, it is always friendly and accommodating. Try the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, my personal favorite. :-)
Stopped in for a quick bite around 4pm. Enjoyed some great food, but quick it was not. Huge party dominated the next room and our waitress was covering the 30 of them and the 2 of us. She did the best she could, but a waitress-table shuffle by management would have made more sense. The food was tasty and worth the wait, but the meal flow was inconsistent. A quick item, maybe a napkin or refill request, could take ten seconds or ten minutes. I say 4 stars due to poor oversight on managements part, but I tipped well.
Not sure what happened between today and the last time I was there in spring, but the food was awful. Burgers used to be good, but I honestly feel Id have been better off going to Wendys across the street after todays experience. Also, dont ask me how I want my burger cooked if youre going to serve it well done anyway.
Tonight was the 2nd attempt at this place. The 1st was about a year ago.The service leaves a lot to be desired. Great service can fix bad food. It doesnt matter how good the food is, horrible service will kill it for me every time. What was good? The burger. What was bad? Time waited to be created, and when we were it was What do you want? Well, a menu for starters. Its not even worth the remaining disappointments that soon followed.Sorry Gahanna Grill, your establishment has no place in my budget.
I am only giving this place a 2 star for the quality of the food i received. I had the double bernie burger and it was great. I received the worst service from this place. When we first got there it was seat yourself. We sat at our table for roughly 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us, as 4-5 servers walked past us. We did not have silver ware or menus to indicate we were ready to order, etc. Once we got our server and 2 menus, for 3 people, it took about another ten minutes for our drinks to be brought to our table. It was not that busy either. Not busy enough for the service we got. So we ordered our drinks, things were turning around, maybe they were just busy. NOPE, after about 35 minutes of waiting for our food, which once again was really good for what we got, one of our 3 orders were right. My burger and fries were fine, the other 2 burgers and sides were completely wrong. Not the right burger, not the right sides. So we told one of the servers that our food was not correct. Nothing was done about it. Our server did not come out at all after our initial order. So we said what ever, enjoyed what we got. Once we were completely finished, our server approached us about our meals being incorrect. They did remove one of our meals, which two of them should have been removed. During this time, we asked for refills of our drinks, i asked for a water and a diet coke, only received a coke, our other diner did not receive her drink at all. After all that we got our bill right away. That was their best response time for anything in about an hour and a half worth of time. Nothing was going right. Our bill came out to be 33.07$, we left a 50$, it took them another 20 minutes to get our change. Which we only received a ten dollar bill. When then asked where the rest of our change was, we finally got the rest of it. I am not the kind of person to stiff and left a 7 dollar tip on the bill. It was absolutely god awful service, i will give this place another chance, but if anything happens like it again i personally will never return. The lack of knowledge, speed, and friendliness was absolutely horrible.
I love this place and would normally give 5 stars. This past Saturday they announced a special on their Facebook page. Wings and ribs after 5 PM. At 5:45 we were at the restaurant and were told the wings and ribs would be ready in one hour. Not a complete washout....love that Beenie burger.
Gahanna Grill is a great local spot. Good burgers and pretty good options across the board. Weve been there several times and the service has always been good.Loses a star for me for two nit-picky reasons. Unfortunately, if youre by the door in the winter you may want another layer. Also, the house salad is an iceberg lettuce deal. Not my favorite kind if Im subbing a side for it and getting hit with an up-charge.
I had the academy burger today during the quarantine, they forgot the bacon. The burger was dry and unseasoned and taste like a burger from public schools. The fried pickles had hardly any batter on them and were disgusting. Ill never go back or recommend and if I see the cook I might have a few words for him
None of first review was true. Theres not much parking and the place is pretty small. As we stepped in the door a waitress ran us down because she was in such a hurry to get out to the patio. I got a margarita that had no tequila in it for $6 and a fish sandwich. Blah! Husband had a very nominal reuben. Wont be going back. Seems like just a grubby old bar.
Used to go to Gahanna Grill when friends live nearby often but still like to go back there my husband liked his Ruben , not too greasy I had it was lunchtime otherwise I would have gotten the chicken marsala which Now They dont serve it till after 4:30 but that was thats always been my favorite dish there.
I gave this a one star because of the service. We waited an hour and a half for our food!! Our server forgot to put in our order. We sat and watched as people came and went and still no food for us. When we finally questioned where our dinner was we were told it would be out in seven minutes. Well half an hour latter it came just before we were getting ready to walk out. Talked to the manager and no apology. You would think our drinks would have been comped. Nothing. Will not be returning.

2021-10-25This was our first time in...The service was awesome - their wait staff interacted well with all the customers. The food not only came out quickly it was delicious. I had their famous burger - hamburger with cheese, Bacon, Cole slaw, lettuce, tomato, and onions which was delicious. I also had the onion rings as one of my sides which were good but there were only 5 of them. The other side was the Cole slaw was I loved. Wifie had a salmon salad with red vinegarette dressing.which she commented on how good it was and how much salmon it had. This is a really good place worth a try...

2022-07-09Learned that the famous Beanie Burger is not named after famed OSU running back Beanie Wells. It was so good that maybe he was named after the burger! Get the Beanie sauce, the recipe is a secret and only one person knows it. Shes been there forever and plans to never leave. Get the coleslaw on the burger!

2021-10-13Absolutely the best all American burger restaurant that I have ever eaten in Ohio. It was a last minute choice after my mom decided she didnt want to have breakfast in the morning and I Google it and was remarked at how many reviews it received so I figured h lets go and try it and it definitely did not disappoint me whatsoever. The burgers were so good that I called my husband after he finished working out from the gym for him to come eat and now he is craving their Chicken Sandwich. The portions were great I didnt feel like I was still hungry after I left there and the food tastes great because it is made to order. The staff are friendly and fun its just an overall great restaurant and definitely if youre in the area you have to try their burgers and their sweet potato fries were amazing and just in case anyone feels like its not enough food for them they have a huge Burger Challenge . MAYBE NEXT TIME..

2022-04-25Relaxing meal outside on a nice sunny day. Fried zucchini was excellent, salmon salad was just average, the fries are quite good. They are crispy yet fluffy on the inside. The kids had cheeseburgers which were flavorful. My Cajun melt was delicious.

2022-07-14This place is great! The burgers are amazing, and the homemade sauces (bleu cheese, ranch, beanie sauce) are some of the best around. I havent had anything other than sandwiches, but it never disappoints. The only drawback is lack of seating at times, as it is a smaller space.

2022-05-31Excellent food, reasonable prices, great cooks, and attentive wait staff are the norm for this restaurant/bar in Gahanna. This is my third time that to try the food menus, different each time, and I was impressed with the quality of meals. And, the quick and efficient way the ordered meal is handled by the wait staff and cooks so you have your food in a timely manner. I highly recommend the restaurant.

2022-05-08Placed an order for a pick up. The calamari was so over cooked that it was a crunchy bunch of bricks with no flavor. Ordered 2 sandwiches that came with fries, but received none. Ordered a kids meal that included a drink and got none. The burger I ordered was thick and meaty but devoid of flavor. This was my first and last time ordering from here.
