Gabes in other cities:
Great selection of everything, great prices and friendly staff. Just need lots of time to go through clothes, theres a lot of them. Hadnt been there in years but seems as though there isnt a hazard of looking for the blemishes in clothing so much these days. 1 trip I spent $135 and got a BUNCH of shirts and a couple pairs of pants.
Gabriel Brothers was awesome I didnt realize they had so many good things at an extremely discounted price I was shocked I only planned on spending a few minutes in there and I ended up spending 2 hours and I ended up purchasing like 50 different items all for under like 200 bucks it was awesome thanks Gabriel Brothers hope to see you again soon.
Bill is not the best cashier. I got a romper and the tag was in the pocket, he called someone for the price and just stood there for like 5 mins. Then my bf got a shirt. The tag said $4.99 he said that was someone elses tag and tried to charge us $12.99 for it 🙄 never again will I come here
Very pleasant experience. Got some Christmas gifts that didnt fit for myself and my daughter and was a very easy return/exchange. Ending up spending more than the return but found incredibly good prices and very clothes for little one! Thanks so much for being friendly and pleasant. Much appreciated.
They have some great brands here, but the problem is, there is very little selection if you need a medium, large, or extra large. Want a Carhartt coat at a great price? This is the place for you if you wear a 5XL. How about a brand new Columbia jacket? Absolutely! Do you happen to wear a 3X tall? You get the gist by now, Im sure. What makes this even more annoying as they actually have a big and tall section, but yet they keep big and tall items mixed in with the rest of the store. Now, Im sure you could come here and find a couple novelty t-shirts in a medium, large, or extra-large, but if youre here hunting for name brands, youre not going to find them unless you happen to show up the same day they originally put it out on the floor.Unfortunately, I cant really recommend Gabes as a reliable store for someone that doesnt wear a 3XL or up. But, if you do, great news for you. This is your place.
I have been coming to the store for years. I always find something nice for a really good price. A lot of times it is a name brand items that I get for a fraction. The clerks are always nice, and they have increased their inventory over the years so you will always leave with something!
My whole family enjoys shopping at Gabes. We find some really awesome buys. I never buy footwear there as I think its a bit over priced for what you get and the same goes for handbags. My husband buys shorts, Ts, and some polo shirts there. He has also bought a jacket or two. My youngest daughter and I can easily pick up 30-40 items each before heading to the dressing rooms. We have fun obviously. One word of caution: check EVERYTHING! You will find some items with minor problems. So try everything on and look it over!
Very disappointed in Gabes! When they first opened up it was my favorite store. Prices were affordable, great selection, I would spend hours looking for items. Now its like a goodwill. Plus size are nothing but older women style. No good selection in shoes , just mot the same anymore. Dont know what happened.
Was in Gabes tonight around 7pm looking for womens shorts which they had none in my size. Had a few things in our cart so we made our way to register where there were2 cashiers. Cashiers were slow and not to friendly, they ended up calling for backup. One was the store manager. She was fast and friendly. That is the only reason I am giving one star!! Customers were lining up and complaining because of the wait.
I have to admit, I have a love hate relationship with Gabes over the years. This a GREAT place to find some amazing deals on name brand items but the condition of the store is what really determines how often I visit. I will say that I have seen tremendous improvement since they changed the name from Gabriel Brothers to Gabes but one thing that stays the same is...the dirty floors in the changing rooms and how over crowded the area is near the shoes and entry to the dressing area. However, if you are able to turn a blind eye past this, you are definitely going to find a great deal on something. Most recently I found a pair of shoes for my son in clearance for $10 and next week seen them in the store for $50. Then I returned a month later and found another pair for $40 that are in the store for $80. You can find everything from Express, Nike, White House Black Market, Adidas, Joe Jeans, and more. There is something for EVERYONE at Gabes! Plus, the older African American man that greets you in the front of the store and the African American woman that attends to the dressing room are beyond sweet! He makes you feel beyond welcome with his smile and she makes you feel like you want to buy everything because she is so positive. Obviously, I will return! :)
Not too crazy about this store. Taking 3 children there and no one can find anything in the disorganization. The prices are way too high for the store. I found cheaper at walmart. I guess if I had 2 hours to shop an no kids, it would be easy to find things. The customer services is marginal and some of the toys are actually dirty. Very disappointed. It took me ten years to walk in the store again and now I know why.
Solid discounts on new and blemished clothing. I rarely find any defects.Prices are higher than I remembered, but there are still good deals to be found if you can find stuff in your size.Watch out for some popular brands though, some of the pricing on those items are higher than outlet prices.Happy hunting!
Shoes were a little picked over, sizes were hard to find and there weren’t any sales associates to assist with anything. My fiancé wears a size 13/14 shoe and I had to dig through every men’s isle just to find a pair here, a pair there, and in the grand scheme of things I think I only found 4 pairs in his size. We will definitely be taking our business to Burlington where they have up to size 20 in men’s shoes..🤷🏼♀️
Love the merchandise. Didnt love the sales associate though. First time I returned something an was made to feel as if a thief.. I bought m6 son a pair of shorts along with a bunch of other items. I gave his wife the receipt. My son an I were out an stopped to shop an exchange the short for a different size. No not cash refund. She kept asking if I had receipt an my ID. She made me feel awful with her attitude. Will not shop there again.
A little dirty, nearly impossible to find help while walking around the store, and you really have to watch out for clothes with imperfections. That said, there are some really nice items here for rediculously good prices. Great place to shop for a gift or even to give your wardrobe a refresh.
GABES is only place ppl should shop.Due to Corona soo many retailer shops inside malls had to unload MAJOR inventory, and it looks like Gabes, got everything!! Single moms with kids...MUST GO! for name brands at 80% off youd pay. Sure online shopping can have better deals, at least at Gabes you can feel fabrics and know if your kids will fit and like. AND they have enough STAFF! unlike soo many other Retail stores near by. I noticed theyve added a lot more home decor, probably because of corona as well.
I used to like this place but theres just so many other places where you find comparable prices without looking for holes or one sleeve longer than the other. You can of course find some decent things if youre very discriminate but I just dont feel its worth the hunt.
They had alot of Christmas gift sets out for the holiday and a variety of clothes and shoes but they are charging way way more then they used to they seem like they are a name brand store such as Hollister or Abercrombie or something shoes there are $70 or more for most pairs and the clothes shirts were selling for $25-35 each I used to love going there all the time but now I doubt Ill be going because if Im going to spemd that much Id rather just go to a Name Brand store and get what I pay for im going to be sad to see Gabes go from one of my stores but its not worth it thanks tho Gabes
Hit and miss. Sometimes its the best option if you want a staple clothing item like undershirts, socks, towels etc. Ive found some really nice shoes overtime with decent prices. More often its the rudeness of the staff and long checkout line that makes Gabes my last resort stop.
Went in one night last week and spotted some area rugs at a great price that we wanted for our new house, and then went back in last night to purchase them. The same rugs were still in stock.Got to checkout and one rug rang $60 higher than the price tag read - was told the higher price was correct even though there were more in stock showing the lower price (NONE had the higher price listed on the tag)... even after going all the way to the back of the store and dragging another identical 5x7 rug to the register to show the sticker price. Not only was I made to feel like a sticker swapping thief, but Im certain that if I go back again Ill find them back on the sales floor still rocking the lower sticker price. :/EDIT: Went back a month later, still 4 rugs identical to the one I was hassled over on the floor with the $19.99 price sticker I was told was incorrect. (They were trying to charge me $79.99)Took one to the register and it magically rang up at the correct price of $19.99!
Horrible place. I tried to return an item and they would not give me my money back even though I was in the time frame of a return. Then they explained to me that is I took the item back they would charge me for it again, that they keep card information on file and can charge any price they want to my card.
Nothing spectacular here. They do have cheap clothes compared to more expensive stores. Th womens section including juniors is pretty big, but there is not a variety on mens clothes. More for either boys or older men. ( I personally am the same as when I graduated highschool, so there is nothing for me here. They do have more variety than a couple years ago. They have stand, chairs, wine cellars, random nicknacks and candy.
It’s a waste to go to these kinda retail stores now they have out of date clothes that they charge you more for then going to the chain retail store like Dillard’s or jcpennys. Just watch sales at big name stores I promise you will get a better deal then you ever do here and the cloths here are raggedy
New layout is easier to find items. I would like to see the clearance areas evaluated more frequently, as the majority were heavily flawed, and taking up too much space. Bargains are to be had, however the amount of time it takes to find items is a major deterent to just swing by or items. I would like to see the areas organized better, as you have to search through all the rack to find the same items and sizes.
Went to Gabes today with a JFS clothing voucher. We were prewarned that its a hassle to use those at a lot of places. Bill checked us out with no issues. Called his manager over to get the register set up and proceeded to check us out with a smile!! It didnt take but a couple minutes longer than it wouldve for a normal checkout and Bill never made us feel we were inconveniencing him or the store. Sadly this is not the case for many foster parents at many stores. Thank you Gabes, the manager and especially Bill for being so awesome and customer service forward!!
Gabes is really more like an upscale Salvation Army. Although their merchandise is always new, its also factory seconds most of the time. I only go occasionally when Im looking for something specific and when I have the time I know its going to take to sort through racks and racks and racks of unsuitable items. You really need to have time to dig through the undesirables in order to find that one potential gem. My best buy at Gabes was a number of years ago when I found a fully lined suede coat for 69 bucks! So sometimes youll get lucky. But dont count on it. I also take issue with the fact that its just kind of dingy, but if Im looking for something particular and have the time to go dig for it, Ill go anyway..
Gabe’s is a decent place to shop if you have nothing planned on a Saturday morning. It is not the place for a person who likes to go in and grab. It’s more like go in, and dig for hours. Sometimes after spending hours there, you will walk out with nothing. However, every once in awhile a treasure will be found! SN: The store reminds me of an expensive thrift store.
Love the store but I had a problem with the cashier today. He was super nice, helpful an courteous but had a number of band-aids which what look like dried blood/open wounds under and around them on the top of his hand. He should have had all of this covered with a large bandage or not been waiting on people. I was afraid to pick up the receipt, bag and merchandise after he rang up our order. I cringed when he touched the merchandise in regards to contamination/blood born pathogens. Maybe Im misinterpreting the situation, and I dont mean to offend anyone or cause hardship but it really turned my stomach. I came home and immediately ran everything through the washer.
I love gabes, its just like value City used to be. Theres to s of clothes, jewelry, shoes , home goods and electronics for sale at really good prices. Alot of the stuff is alot lower priced then youd find in most stores, including a good variety of makeup and accessories.
I had my worst shopping experience ever at Gabes this week. It involved long lines, a bitchy sales clerk combined with an even bitchier customer who decided that I was in the wrong sales line. Poor management, and poor customer skills. When Gabes first opened in North Canton, it wasnt unusual to find designer handbags, jewelry and clothing and shoes at a substantial discount. You had to look for first quality items, but they were there. Since their silent partner joined them, the prices have gone up and the designer merchandise has disappeared. Now most of the womens stuff they sell is low end.I wont be going back.
I was dissapointed with your shoes! I have been living in Anchorage Alaska for 4 years. I have brag about your shoes department, specially about your summer sandals. Yesterday July 6, believe or not I came back to Canton, Ohio right straight from the airport, to Gabe all I wanted was to buy as many beautiful unique sandals that I could carry back to Alaska. What I saw was poor quality, ugly, cheap looking sandals. WHAT happen WHO is ordering the shoes, very dissapointed on the floor lay out, it just looks like a over stock warehouse over stock with stuff. It makes it look chaotic!
Point system ridiculous. They dont store it in their system easily. Takes forever for them to look it up. Did a return once on some boots that were destroying my wifes feet and they acted like we were trying to hustle them. Generally okay, of course you must check over your purchases for more or less obvious defects because its all B stock
The black woman (couldnt catch her name but she was a restocker) honestly deserves to be fired. She is extremely rude and unprofessional.Today I went into the store looking around for shoes and was about to buy a pair. I then took a pool noodle, and the black lady walked over and said, Put it back. If youre going to play, play outside. Seriously? I was going to purchase a few. Later, a teen guy started playing with the pool noodle, and the black lady saw it and did nothing. Also, I dont want the black lady coughing all over the clothes she restocks. I paid attention to her and she was coughing all over the clothes. Not to mention, everything is scattered everywhere! Its hard to find something you want in this store. The lines are extremely long as well.I dont want to come back here again.

2022-03-07Nice place to shop for reasonably priced clothes. If you are an XL or XXL youll probably find slim pickings on clothing but its still worth checking out. I bought 5 different articles of clothing and paid $15.00 less than the 2 articles I bought at old navy.

2022-04-17I absolutely love this place! Besides it being very clean and the employees very friendly, they had sooooo much stuff!I got a puppy toy, a collapsed water bowl for my puppy for walks, both for $4. Very sturdy!A couple Jessica Simpson sprays and an Aeropostale spray, each $6! Other places that are $20!I got my oldest daughter a couple name brand shirts for $7 and my baby niece who turns 1 soon a couple name brand outfits for her birthday each $7!Definitely recommend if you love name brand, but dont wanna spend the money!

2022-05-15You can find good deals pretty often... But actually finding them is a problem. Theres always SO much stocked in every foot of space they have. You have to stop and wait in nooks for others to pass all the time because the isle spaces are so small, and theres always a ton of other customers. And the checkout line is usually the worst in town. I only suggest going if you want to save some cash and have several hours to spare.

2022-07-05The store selection and cleanliness have went down considerably. There is no ryhme or reason to each section. Sizes are mixed together badly. You honestly need hours upon hours to get through all the mayhem of racks bc of all chaos on the clothes racks.

2022-07-12My only complaint is that its got too many choices, because I could spend all day there and spend way too much money. SOS. Help! Haha good deals though!! 👌

2022-03-03Biggest issues I’ve had to date….was literally stalked in the store by some weird lady, I said something to an associate as I had my 3 year old an felt very uncomfortable. She blankly stared at me. So didn’t get to look at clothes for myself, which most of what they have for women is xs/s or size 0-4. Sorry, I’m a woman an have curves, not a stick and weigh 90 pounds. I did a purchase an layaway an had the nastiest cashier with the WORST attitude. Idk what her issue is but clearly doesn’t need to work with the public.

2022-01-10I like getting clothes here. You can get great prices and lots of coupons. Very easy to spend $300 a person because of all of the options but you walk out with tons of items!
