FUSIAN in other cities:
I got a bowl and the person helping didnt wash there hands ( i understand they wear gloves but still) and when i paid it was 20 $ for a single bowl and i asked why and she said a couple things cost extra when i was unaware and then found a hair. when i was almost done with it. disgusting.....
We dont have anything like this in Michigan, but we should! Fresh ingredients and tasty sushi and bowls. Staff were really friendly and made helpful suggestions. It was just the fresh food we needed after a long day of travel. Highly recommend and I will definitely eat here again when Im next in Ohio.
Love this place! Fantastic option for those who are gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, or anyone who has allergies. Or, if youre just looking for a simple and healthy meal, youve found your place. Everything is customizeable, and they have a bunch of delicious drinks sweetened with agave or unsweetened. Just try it, youll see. If youre not into veggies, however, probably not the best option for you. If you love a ton of veggies, they got you covered.
Fusian is a fantastic twist on Poke, and a delicious spot for made to order sushi. They are very popular in Columbus, and I have had great experiences at all of their stores. A big shout out to Miranda for delivering EXCEPTIONAL service. She was personable, professional, and accommodating to lots of changes we needed to make. Thank you!
So while I did enjoy my experience, it has been quite some time since I have last been to Fusian. I asked for the regular chicken and before they put it on it did not look very appetizing to be fully honest. I went with the soy chicken instead which I have not had before but was still tasty. As I said, overall experience was fine and the strawberry lemonade was excellent so im still happy about going and will hopefully get up there sooner.
My wife and I came in at 9:40 today. I know thats only 20 minutes to close, but thats plenty of time to grab a couple rolls. The scrawny blond guy (who Im guessing must be the manager because he was bossing two girls around while I was there?) had the audacity to say, you guys sure decided to come in late, and then complained that hed already put away some of the stuff, complained that hed already cleaned the slicer, made our rolls extremely hastily and sloppily, and then said, Im assuming this is to go?Ive worked in restaurants, so I understand having those thoughts, but to actually speak them out loud to a customer is completely out of line. Having people like that behind the counter is a good way to lose customers.
Food is decent but there are always 2-4 employees screwing around talking while customers wait. It almost as if they dont care about helping customers get in and out. The last couple times I have been there, 1 person takes the order, then makes the order, then cashes them out all well the other 3-4 employees are screwing around. I literally left the place because I did not have 15 -30 minutes for the one girl to do it all. The owner should really focus on the customer and getting them served in a reasonable time. People are not on your timeframe.
I didn’t eat from here but it took 5 mins for the employees to notice that they weren’t making my doordash order and when they were walking around working the girl in the red wasn’t wearing gloves while handling food and the guy with the glasses also didn’t have gloves on and he was touching his face mouth and apron while handling food NEITHER OF THEM WASHED THEIR HANDS !
Had a pickup, stood at the counter for a few minutes and literally not a single worker even said hello. I eventually figured out it was on a shelf on the other side, but I was hoping there would be an option to tip on the card. Since no one seemed concerned I just grabbed my food and left. As a first time customer Im hoping the customer service isnt a reflection of how the food will be.
Looked clean, and rolls were ready for pickup in timely manner. BUT my rolls were falling apart, and ingredients did not taste fresh. I think I have high standards for sushi, and this place just didn’t hit the spot. I appreciate their GF options though. I probably won’t order again.
Always had a great experience at this location. We recently moved to another city (different Fusian location), and had a not so great experience.Thank you for the Toledo Fusian location for setting the standard. I know it has been tough during COVID and no one is perfect - but please know that we recognize the effort and great customer service!!
Im giving three stars to be generous. I came here a few days ago for the first time, and have no plans of returning. I ordered a bowl of white rice, tuna roll, and a miso soup. The soup was fine, but I have issues with the rice and sushi. The rice had a very odd taste to it that is unlike anything I have ever eaten in Asian/Sushi restaurants. As for the sushi, they have all the ingredients laid out like a pizza place. I understand why this could be thought of as a good and efficient idea, it did make me worried for the quality of food I was getting. They use a tool to cut your sushi into rolls where they slip in the roll of seaweed, rice, fish and whatnot, and the tool will cut it into even slices. The machine was disgusting. It was clear that they did not clean it in between orders or customers, and I was not happy to find traces of avocado on my sushi. Moreover, the roll was incredibly uneven; more rice than fish. I expected more. However, the soup was nice, and the staff was friendly. This could be managed much, MUCH better though. Will not be returning.
Solid sushi bowls. Good sticky rice, tuna, and salmon. I would avoid the chicken sushi roll. Multiple teas to choose from. I prefer the bowls over the rolls. Friendly staff. Cool seating area. I once purchased a gift card and got free money on it. I won their contest and got a tote and gift card. I Love Fusion!
5 stars for this incredible sushi restaurant! The interior is clean, bathrooms are fabulous and the sushi is on point! Its true from my incredible experience that this place gives you free first time ever sushi for new customers by using their app. I got the evidence as proof. Im definitely going back and love the way the amazing employees and staff making it fresh in your face and see how its done. 😊😊😊😊😊
Staff is friendly, decor is nice. But. This is not good Sushi. To much sauce (and very runny, all 3 that were on my rolls), mushy rice, little care in assembly of ingredients. Build your own is a fine concept, but the regular menu options are almost universally just not right.
I typically love this place but I ordered online through door dash and my bowl I ordered was less than half the size it typically is. Paying $12 for a bowl is already quite pricey, though I don’t mind when it actually fills me up. This time there wasn’t much to it though, so I definitely won’t be ordering online again and will think twice before returning.
Fusian is my favorite place to get takeout in Toledo. The sushi is good, the bowls are stellar (chicken and rice is my favorite), and the drinks are great (lavender lemonade? Yes, please). If I want sushi without a big fuss this is where I turn. Also, they have a rather great rewards program (powered by their app). Finally, everyone has always been very nice. There is a woman there with colored hair (I never learned her name, unfortunately) always nice and is the best at her job. When shes there I know my stuff will be perfect (but its always good). Thanks Fusian! I hope your business thrives, keep being great and Ill do my part to see that it does.
FUSIAN is still my very favorite place to eat but Ive gotta tell someone the last time I went the girls apron was fully pressed into my roll every single time she reached to grab an ingredient so probably about 7 times throughout her making it which was not ideal. Could you please have your employees tighten the straps on their aprons so theyre not loose and touching the food?
The service here is great! I really enjoy their sushi rolls and I have recently tried one of their sushi bowls and it was delicious! I was super full afterwards as well! The employee Nichole was very friendly and check on us throughout our whole time there. I would highly recommend Fusian to anyone looking to be able to customize their own sushi or bowl!
I love this place. The food is unique and fresh, the atmosphere is contemporary and clean, and the possibilities are pretty close to endless. I absolutely love getting a bowl and the amount of food you get is worth the price. Very unique and interesting place for a date or just to get a cool lunch.
For essentially fast food/casual sushu the quality is surprisingly good. Weve had the bowls, somedifferent rolls & the ginger carrot salad. All good. Service is aleays very friendly. Most recently Tyler took great care of us and promoted their catering options, which are very reasonable.
In all honesty, I love this establishment....but since Adam left, the service and portion size has gone downhill significantly. Last night, I was served hard rice and salmon that was shredded apart with the tongs used to pick them up. When I asked for more sauce, he did a quick drizzle and put it away. The bowl was dry. DEF the worst service I have had there. The three starts represents Adam only....who was your best employee there.
First time customer. Place looks nice and is clean. Staff is great. But I order a veggy bowl. Only thing that was warm was the rice. They put cold veggys on the brown rice and I didn’t see any options for hot veggies. I prefer my veggies warm/hot. Just not for me. So, I took the bowl home and put it in the microwave and it was really good HOT.
11/12Revising my previous review. We checked them out again and there has been some menu changes and new (lower) prices. Very good and better value. We will put this resturant back in our rotation. Thank you, Fusian.we used to love coming here all the time--- but the portion sizes went down for the rice bowls awhile back and I do not think it is as good of value as it used to be.
I decided to try this. Heard good things about it. The best way to describe Fusian is if Chipotle decided to ditch Mexican food for sushi. Not a huge variety of different rolls but a lot of ways to customize each roll. I immensely enjoyed my crunchy crab roll. I think thats its name. Good customer service and I was in and out with my order faster than if Id gone to Chipotle or Subway.
OMG, I love Fusian! I cant eat rice but I love sushi and they made my sister and I thee absolute most delicious sushi rolls without the rice and were so very kind! Most places are not willing to go above and beyond but they are. I will always support Fusian! Thank you guys!!!
Tyler who I believe is the manager made me a special hot sauce that was awesome and it was wonderful eating there with my daughter and her boyfriend we all loved our food. I felt like I could make my bowl exactly the way I wanted to and I did... Awesome experience and crazy delicious
I recently visited the Toledo location for the first time, and it was AWESOME! The staff was wonderful, and Tyler and Kendra from the management team took the time to introduce themselves! The food is fresh, and well worth the money! I cant wait to be in the Toledo area again to come back!
I ended up here because I missed lunch at my usual sushi joint. My friend recommended Fusian to me and promised that it would be worth making the trip to that part of town. I hate the traffic in that area and usually try to avoid it at all costs. The first thing that I noticed was pop music blaring from an outdoor speaker and there were some corn hole boards near the door. I was slightly confused, was I going to get sushi or did I end up in a college bar?I walked in and was assaulted by loud music. The decor was really simple and best described as hygienic utilitarian. I looked at the selection and was disappointed that the sushi was limited to rolls. To be fair this was not the fault of Fusian. After deciding on a roll and a bowl. I placed my order. Everyone that worked here was pretty friendly. The food was extremely simple and fresh. The presentation was nice and although its not a traditional sushi restaraunt presentation is huge in sushi.I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I did not enjoy the loud music, at all. I will definitely eat here again. As the old saying goes, if its too loud then youre too old, unless delicious food is involved. Fusian is a great place. Its fresh and economical. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try.
I usually really like fusian. The food tastes good, its fresh, and they respect dietary restrictions. Today i ordered a bowl with carrots, tofu, and avocado as well as a roll with carrots and avocado from Uber eats. It looks like they used less than a quarter of avocado for the entire order. Its so disappointing to be paying for food we barely got.
My boyfriend and I accidentally came in about ten minutes before close. We were helped by Adam. I was worried we might be snubbed for coming in late. Instead, we received absolutely outstanding service from Adam. He answer our questions kindly, and was enthusiastic and friendly. The food was phenomenal, but the service was the best Ive experienced from any similar type of restaurant in the area.
Was here with my boyfriend today and am not reposting his review here. Something should be done. Good food. Pretty awful service. Came in at 3pm. Four workers here. Only ONE at the serving counter with a small constant line for my entire dine in time. The girl with the fading blue hair was doing her job great with zero help nor acknowledgement that she needed an extra hand on the line. The line was dirty, for she was swamped with order after order. Online orders were being disregarded and the orderees were instructed to wait. The others are in there back, one (with her head shaved orangish ponytail) on her phone doing nothing, one (blonde) eating a pb&j roll, the other screaming that she burnt the rice. The last one, I presume to be the manager as she is prepping food like onions and tuna, is very loud. She is gossiping while yelling. The whole dining room can hear here jabber and laughter. Very displeased. I think the blue haired girl deserved a raise as she is now, after the rush, running around cleaning, restocking, and putting away boxes. While the others continue to gossip in the back...
This place was a joke for sushi. Everything is bland and tastes like they just thawed it out. Go to Rice BLVD instead. Its a couple miles south of fusion on Secor just before Dorr near UT. Its local, tastes great, the owners use fresh ingredients and theyll remember you after just one visit. Its not sushi made by some high school kid that learned how to do it on YouTube.
Overpriced, food was average, atmosphere made me feel like I was eating in a stainless steel warehouse. Most of the staff were nice enough, (the assistant manager?) Tyler was quite abrupt with responses to questions I had about food sourcing and sustainability of the tuna species. I will not be back with inconsiderate staff like that. Sori or Domo for me in the future.
I visited this store on Monday evening and walked in to an employee eating on the line. He was the same employee that made my roll. I ordered a soy wrap, with chicken, he rolled it, and then put it in the machine. Other times, I have had my rolls hand cut due to the fact that they dont hold well with a soy wrap! So by the time he boxed it up, it was complete mush. Also, the line itself looked very messy. That alone almost stopped me from eating there. Presentation should be a pretty big thing, especially when the food items are right in front of you. I think scooping out Avocados onto your roll is a very bad approach. I wont be back.
I used to come here constantly but i really won’t be back. i ordered a highland bowl, which i substitute the chicken with tempura shrimp and the cucumber for avocado. the guy gave me cucumbers when i asked him i don’t want any, he restarted the bowl. basically all i got was rice with shrimp, yellow peppers and sauce. i asked for the mushrooms that were already supposed to be on my bowl and they charged me 2 extra dollars. okay🙄 thanks for the bland 14 dollar shame bowl.
Pretty sad I delivered 3. Straight Uber orders for this place with no time to go to the bathroom when I asked a staff member if I could use the bathroom real quick he told me no its closed to the public...to the guy that decided to tell me no where the hell do you go to the bathroom remember buddy you have the easy part making the order Im the one that has to deliver that order 7 Miles away with a full bladder......
This is my 2nd time giving fusian a try and I was still disappointed. I wanted to like it but both times it was a frustrating experience. We came at dinner time and they were out of multiple items, including rice which is pretty much a staple there. The restaurant was also roasting hot and very uncomfortable. With so many new restaurant options in Toledo I unfortunately will not be coming to fusian again.
Incredibly clean, great food, and an absolutely enthusiastic staff who clearly takes pride in what they do. The outdoor seating area consists of two long communal tables with homemade BIG Jenga games on each one. One of the most unique reataurants in Toledo. Think Chipotle for sushi with a particular eye for food quality
Customer service was lacking, one employee was up front, while it looked like the manager and another employee were socializing in the back. Also the manager had a chef coat on? that was actually kind of funny, comparing what is essentially subway but with sushi to actually being a sushi chef. Whats next, youll be telling me taco bell and chipotle are authentic mexican cuisine.
A little put off....visited the Secor Rd. location and had lunch. Not only was a tip added to the bill that I did not authorize for this 2 person lunch, but when I went back to get a fountain drink at the cost of $2.50 per glass, another tip was added in the amount of $1.00. How do you get away with added tips at whatever the register girl decides to put on the bill. This is outrageous. I will check to see if it is legal too.. I doubt it. But in any case, You Just Lost A Customer. What a rip off.
READ! Fusian fakes their reviews. ANY 5 STAR REVIEW with a NAME associated to it is fake. A while back they held a game with the employees; who ever got the most amount of reviews mentioning their names got a special prize. This was like a game of “survivor” so they called it, each week the people with the least reviews were weeded out. Then the beginning of the week the number reset, until the last week they were left with two people battling.
Upon entry into FUSIAN restaurant, I was greeted by a dapper young fellow who asked to be called by the name of Adam (my consort insisted on Eugene Shapor, and he was very kind about it). He led us to our table, his feet swift and light as a jackolope wearing silk slippers on a moonlit night over a pond. [End paragraph]Adam (Eugene Shapor) was kind, humble, intrepid, benevolent, sprightly, commandeering, and shimmering with understanding. Not only did he take our orders with a grace unexpected of a mere human, but he delivered our food to the table with conviction I thought long dead. Any Queen or Pharaoh would have been honored to be served by such a wholesome lad. [End paragraph]When I insisted that he must be no older than 14 years of age, he took the compliment with grace and a flavorful chuckle. I can almost taste that chuckle in my nostrils as I write this. My nose hairs shall be forever tingling. [End paragraph]In conclusion, my venerable respect for this restaurant is rooted in the deep belief in the server Adam and the power he wields to do only good for the food service industry. I will not be surprised to see him running for president, or some American office even more lofty, once he is of age.

2022-05-06Surprisingly better than what I thought it was going to be when my friend said she wanted fast food sushi. Im a vegetarian, I dont eat meat or fish. They had menu items for me and they were really good. Their hand mixed drinks are amazing, especially the lavender lemonade. The issues I had were none of the tables were wiped down and the employee doing temp checks wiped the thermometer on his apron in between food temps.

2022-03-10All you really need to know is that this place is highly over-priced for what you get. Get your sushi from literally anywhere else in Toledo. Kroger will provide lower quality at significantly cheaper. Everywhere else will be cheaper and either better or similar quality. If you dont want sushi, it doesnt get any better. Several family members found the chicken and rice bowl to be inedible (including me), though the ingredients were clearly fresh, so it may just be that we were more accustomed to traditional taste profiles.

2022-06-14New favorite spot! Food was fresh, fast, and delicious. Staff was very pleasant, attentive, and professional. Facilities were clean and main dinight was bright and welcoming. Outdoor seating was available and games such as Jenga and corn hole were available. This is sure to be our fast favorite when in the area! Be sure to try the lemonade, their were several unique flavor combos.

2022-06-29Good spot for sushi and poke bowls you can customize. Very convenient for take out and there are many healthy options. Also a good place to eat inside or out and there are dogs on Wednesday which is always a plus :)

2022-04-22If i could afford to eat here every single day, i just might do that. the sushi rolls were simply delicious. the miso soup was also very good. i am a bit of an anamoly; i do not like fish, i am mostly vegetarian, but i LOVE sushi! so i can’t tell you how much i appreciate this place being around, since it can be next to impossible to find a vegetarian or vegan sushi roll that’s not just pickled carrot, cucumber, and avocado.

2018-10-05Pretty tasty food! I love spice so I added every one that they had whether it was seasoning, jalapeños or spicy sauce. Although it still wasnt hot enough I enjoyed it very much. I ordered the crab bowl and my friend order the portobello bowl. The brown rice wasnt done cooking but we didnt mind the wait and they gave us complementary drinks.I will definitely be adding this to my frequent places to eat.

2019-02-08Loved this place, almost like the Jimmy Johns of sushi. Was happy with the food quality and outstanding service (manager comped fountain drinks due to first time visit). Loved the selection of drinks and the compostable eat ware

2022-04-27Food was great, we ordered ahead and was ready when I arrived. Restaurant is clean. Love the healthy options and build your own bowl

2022-03-06They messed up order, had to go back, but they fixed. I did not see any employee wash their hands before grabbing gloves, so just touching the glove with dirty hands, then serving with dirty gloves. Thats one of my biggest pet peeves I see when going in a food place. Portion size normal, service is pretty quick. Inside did look clean.

2022-03-29My first time trying their food and eye love the fact they have vegetarian/vegan options. Best thing to eat after a great workout.
