We had a wonderful waitress tonight named Jane she always goes above and beyond with her service and treats us like her own family I highly recommend going and seeing her at the eaton frisches

Its been a while since we have eaten at a Big Boys restaurant too eat. If the food was as bad as this was l know why they closed them. Sausage patties are spicy.

Driving back home we always stop at the Eaton diner but this time they were way to packed. So we decided on Big Boy instead. Reading a lot of reviews for this location (most were quite petty). So here is mine.. A family of 4, around 1pm on a Saturday. The staff were all very polite & helpful. Our waitress Raimi was as sweet as could be. We did not get the buffet, it didnt look as good. However, it was time for it to be changed to salad bar. Our meals were fresh, cooked perfectly, and the sweet potato fries were so good. BONUS- this location has CHERRY COKE!! Our local Big Boy has Pepsi now (not okay). So we were ecstatic to see this Eaton OH location was staying true to coke. Anyways, the ONLY complaint I have is that the womens restroom had 1 toilet full of yucky stuff. Overall this location was clean, and just about perfect. Thank you for great service and Merry Christmas!

Sausage gravy was real runny and hash browns had a weird taste. Wasnt to happy with the waitress thinking it was funny asking if we were gonna skip out on paying. Love frishs but will not go back to this location.
They were very busy but we were still served in a reasonable amount of time.

Clean, great food, a lot of choices. I did have a rude waitress on one occasion. The lady hardly checked on us, cut me off half sentence, the place was empty for the most part. I didnt want to tip her at all, I felt very disrespected.

I had a big boy on rye, and the waitress brought extra tartar sauce without having to ask-Surprise-Awesome! Also brought ketchup for my hot,, delicious onion rings without me having to ask for it...Awesome again! My husband got a regular big boy with no cheese and order of fries. His big boy came without cheese as he had requested-Awesome again! The waitress was very pleasant and friendly and we gave her a good tip, but the fries my husband got were cold. We didnt complain because the waitress was so wonderful.
The food was AWESOME. Service not too great. I had to go get a server to help us. The one covering our section finished up she disappeared. Once I got a server to take our order it went well. Their BIG BOY with the tarter sauce is the BEST BURGER ever.
I love frischs big boy sauce. I love the service and Aron coal is a good drive through attendant. The general manager is also very kind. Also Lea swaf rod is a good drive through attendant.

We stopped in for breakfast while our cat was being neutered. Very clean, excellent service, and while I do miss the breakfast bar (and salad bar!), it was still a great meal at a great price. Worth noting that the full menu is available for breakfast, I almost had fish and chips at 9AM, but the breakfast bowl was just too tempting.

Salad bar is now $8.99. (not worth it) vegetables were frozen even the lettuce. they were very short staffed, no one to clean tables. I felt sorry for the 2 waitresses.

Breakfast bar is not bad if you can time it so that you go through the line right after food items are restocked. When ordering a la carte, service is fast and food is good. Staff is friendly, but not always on top of things. We had to ask our waitperson to please take some of the empty dishes off of our table so we would have room to put fresh plates when returning from the buffet. Servers quickly fulfilled any of our requests, but showed no initiative when it came to doing things without being asked.
Food was warm and fresh. Melissa was super friendly! We will be back for sure.

Got there ordered coffee the cup had syrup on it and the coffee was cold however we had a nice server who was able to bring out new that was very overpriced a $35 bill for one big boy one piece of chicken two salad bars and two drinks do not recall Frischs being this high very doubtful Ill be back

Ordered coffee and was brought a carafe of cold, very old coffee. Then, unfortunately for our waitress (the only one serving the entire side of the restaurant) most of our food was served cold as well. Probably because she was beyond over worked and couldnt get the food out fast enough.

I ordered two Big Boy Platrers , sauce was on bottom bun which made the sandwiches soggy. The fries , cold and hard. Frischs is one of my favorites. Very dissatisfiedFor the money, The quality should be at its best. $20 dollars for two soggy sandwiches . Eaton, Ohio

I eat here often, usually breakfast or lunch. This is the best drive-thru restaurant in Eaton, everytime I order a Big Boy the bun is toasted, the cheese is melted, it tastes great unlike other places with frozen buns and cheese for my sandwich. The employees are friendly and neat in appearance. The outside of store is also kept up, I rarely go inside.Edit 04/2022: still enjoy lunch usually spot on. Unfortunately they cant get breakfast going at a good time I loved their breakfast, I wish they would reconsider getting breakfast going again in the morning.

I recently traveled from Cincinnati to Richmond Indiana to see an old friend. I stopped in here as a pit stop and to get my favorite diet Cherry Coke to go The drive through was especially busy so I decided to go in to use ladies room and order drink. As I stood at counter A Server immediately approached me w a smile. I was in and out in less than probably 7 minutes. Thank you for making my road trip even a bit sweeter. 🍒

Good service. You have to order at the cash register or through the QR code at the table. I didnt have cash and wanted to tip the waitress but that option is not the website to leave a tip. I was told that you can leave a tip when you pay at the cash register. Overall, decent visit.

We choose to eat here tonight because the sign outside said full service open and we interpreted that as the salad bar being open, it was not. That was understandable because of Covid but the sign was misleading. Once we ordered our 4 drinks we were told there were no lemons. We moved past this. As we were ordering our food we were told there were no biscuits. We tried to order pork tenderloin and they said they had none left for the day. Finally they came back after we placed our order to inform us they were unable to make french toast. We asked them to cancel our order and paid $10 for our 4 drinks. This was by far the worst restaurant experience we have ever had.

Not great, lady that took our order (which you do before sitting plus you are supposed to tip at that point)was more concerned with leaving then anything else. You now have to seat yourself and every table we were allowed to sit at was covered in dirty dishes. When I was finally able to get someone to clean the tables she used the same cloth to wipe every table without using clean water or disinfect. Our service after that was good but we wont be going back any time soon.

Dine in is getting better... like all restaurants this location appeared to be understaffed...we are all learning to be tolerant of slower service but then must realize that maybe only 2-3 people are trying to keep their business going...my suggestion would be to tip generously and be thankful their doors are still open!

Never order online here. Every time something gets missed and you have to go in anyway. Or you wait 20 minutes just to find out your order has been sitting there ignored by whoever is supposed to take care of check in orders.

I ordered a turkey melt. That is served on Texas toast. It was so saturated with butter you couldnt tell it was Texas toast. It was so soggy I had to pull it apart and eat the turkey and bacom without the bread. Its always been been my favorite til now. Will never order it again!!!!!

I havent been to a Frischs in forever. It wasnt as good as I remembered. We took our oldest daughters and all 6 of our grandkids. The waitress was very nice. There was a few mess ups on some orders. We didnt mind as we had her busy.

We come every year around this time when we go see the lights at the eaton park. The food is good but the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes are always cold when they come out. I wish they would check the temperature before sending it out. Its been an ongoing thing for years. The burgers,fries and all that are always hot but any side dish that is suppose to be hot is not.I also did not like how they make you take your order at the front desk. Why cant they come to the table like normally? Instead we gotta stand there until we figure out what we want
The food was delicious although portions seem to have shrink while pricehad not since my last cos visit in December. The fact they are making you order at the register before seating yourself is odd and makes typing complicated as it doesnt even opt for you to leave a tip if paying by card. Thelemonade I added an entire lemon to in order to taste the lemon in it. Servers were very friendly and prompt with service although the gent at the register left something to be desired in customer service.

For a chain restaurant the burger and fries are really underrated. It those 2 dont make you happy a slice of pie absolutely will.
Breakfast bar until...? 2 on Sundays. Yet, its nearly empty. No eggs, little of anything else. False advertising Id say. Decided to order off the menu... 10 minutes at my table, and still have not seen a server. After finally placing my order, I went through the entire meal without a refill, or without seeing the server even ONE time. She eventually zipped by, and stated she would be back with our check (no time to even ask her for a refill...) She talked with coworkers, and did everything but bring the check.I went to the counter to tell what I had, and upon sharing the length of time I had waited for my check (bill), and then sharing my experience, the manager apologized. I asked for my refill to go, offering even to pay for it. She not only gave me the drink, but waived my entire amount due.

Really appreciated how they provided comfort for me as it was very hot and stuffy when we arrived and because of my lung disease I was so very hot. Thankfully our waitress understood and had the air conditioning turned up. It was so much easier to breathe than before. Was so grateful for the kindness of the staff so I could enjoy being able to eat and breathe without passing out.

The Eaton Ohio store has gone downhill. Food takes forever to come and is usually cold when it does arrive. Cant find a waitress when you need something. Really nothing positive at all to say about my dining experience at this location.
We have been regulars at this location for over 10 years and tonight topped the worst service ever! Our server was very rushed and tried rushing us to order and when we asked for more time she never came back. 20 minutes we waited I then went up front to ask for a new server and it was another 5 minutes and we decided nevermind and they still charged us for drinks that we didnt drink. Our server was named Tassy... She was the worst and had a completely hateful attitude towards us as we left. Absolutely the worst!
It was ok the breakfast bar wasnt that good they changed alot of things and took away alot of other things. Not to mention they raised there prices

Shauna was my groups server. She brought our pop out, dropped it off, and disappeared. None of us were given a straw. When she finally reappeared 10 minutes later we had to let her know she didn’t bring us the correct beverages. Was gone for another 5 minutes and had to be reminded AGAIN about straws. We ordered our food and when it came out there was lots of stuff missing or incorrect. My friend order mozzarella sticks with marinara. She was brought a huge bowl of ranch. When trying to get it corrected, we were brought a cup of spaghetti sauce. Another friend got a wrap and instead of the ranch being in the wrap he ordered, Shauna had a bowl of it on the side. I ordered a country chicken bowl. The mashed potatoes were browned with crust, and the chicken tasted like it had been sitting for hours. Also a friend had order a Cobb salad with French dressing. Got extra ranch.And when it came time for us to pay and leave we had to wait 45 minutes because the server was in the back talking. (There was only 4 other tables in the whole restaurant).Dissatisfied is an understatement. Place used to be amazing.
It was very yummy! I got the big boy and vegetable soup and fries. Unfortunately they changed the fries and they suck! My favorite cousin got the breakfast bar and it looked very good plus she said it was!! Waitress was polite and not a long wait on the food. No wait on seating!

Solid, but not great food. Basically fast food with more variety. Nothing to complain about, bit probably wont go back either.On the plus side, service was excellent - so four starts instead of three!
Ordered eggs over medium, got over easy. Ordered wheat toast, got white. Hashbrowns didnt have much brown to them. They only had 1 flavor of jelly and only sugar free. Wont be returning.

The waitress was very personable and recommended food, prompt and it was delicious! I had the country fried chicken dinner. The chicken was plump, juicy and with the breading and gravy just awesome! And of course it came with mashed potatoes, green beans and a dinner roll. My husband had the salad bar and a big boy. Both also good. The salad bar always has fresh food. This Frisches is in Eaton, Ohio.
Dylan K was our server the other day and honestly he was very good. He was extremely nice and very friendly. He was always busy and wasnt standing around like other severs and staff. The service was excellent but the food was not the best but still had a great time.
The Wednesday night breakfast bar sucked did not refill it properly only had a couple biscuits gravy was cold no eggs couple pieces of bacon pizza sausage we got there at like 7:10 and by 8 they were tearing it all down and did not refill any of the dishes shouldnt have paid for the breakfast bar waitress should have told us that they would be closing it down which didnt as for coffee it was cold and dirty cups
Usually it is night and day from lunch to dinner. During the day the food is always perfectly cooked hot etc but at night food was always cold most of the time it wasnt cooked right etc. My favorite thing is the fried pickles sometimes they are hot and crispy and separated like they should be and other times they are one huge lump of cold nonsense... you can tell they had been sitting under a heat lamp for about 4 hours, they must have given me the last bit of old fried pickles they had made cause the container was completely full which is WAY more than you are supposed to get and they were VERY cold and all stuck together, I was not pleased. However the last time i ate in in the evening the food was way better than usual, I usually get the white fish dinner and it was hot and crispy but normally they squeeze lemon juice over top and it was missing, and I ordered sweet potato fries and got normal fries. It was the waitresses first day she did a good job. It always seemed to me that the day cook was amazing but the late shift cook was lacking but like I said it seemed better last time i went not sure if they got a new evening cook or they are getting better lol.
Love Frischs. This one is always above the rest. From being seated to talking to the Manager Tom. Clean from the front doors to the restrooms. Salad bar was fresh. Food was excellent. We wanted desert but was too full to eat there. So the manager had it all package seperate so later when we were ready we had fun building our hot fudge cakes.

A Christmas tradition for us. We have dinner at Frischs in Eaton and then see the lights at Fort St. Clair.Service at this location is always great. The food is hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and they always treat our son nice.
Took forever to get waited on. Almodt 15 minutes to get our food, then the hamburger was dried. Salad bar had very few items and no fruit at all. Vegetable soup cold. And they offer no senior discount or military discount. Shame on you. They also dont have the food that they show on the website. Never go there again.
BIG disappointment. We have been stopping here for years when we pass through Eaton on yearly road trips. Service was very slow, food was cold - and old. Pie, which we took to go, seemed to be, literally, a week old. Barbecue sauce served with my eifes chicken had a metallic taste - gone bad. We have happy memories of this place; we wont stop in on our way home. I guess well see what next year brings.
Very little on salad bar for way to much money charged
Way understaffed. Had to wait a long time for drink refills. I got the buffet which was good. Others in my party ordered from menu and it was a long wait then was wrong when it arrived. They asked for a carry out tray and it took forever for them to bring one.

Nice atmosphere, nice people, just wish they offered more grilled or healthy options. Everything is smothered in salt and or fried. Even the grilled chicken taste like salt. The salad bar is nice but Id like to be able to eat something other than a salad.
During the day isnt to bad, but do NOT go in here in the evening, the manager has no idea what she is doing, the waitresses look unkempt and does not speak professionally at all. Her hair was everywhere and she smelled of cigarettes, I do not want hair in my food. The floor was a mess, took us 15 mins to be seated and there were only a few people seated, the tables were very sticky, the food was by far not as good as it is during the day.
We ate at the Eaton Ohio location and it took them 10 minutes before anyone came over to even greet us and take a drink order and that was only because the ppl who just got done and were leaving went and told someone we were still sitting there. Then the waitress told us she only charged us for 2 big boys due to the service and then paid the bill and was charged $39.00 full price I guess for 2 of their Hot Bars. Dont get me wrong I love Frischs but this location and their service and food quality has gone down hill in a big way. It wasnt even busy that night btw. And when they have their Hot Bar food it takes a lot away from the salad bar. Food was barely average.
The food was the worst I have ever had from Frischs the service was awful the waitress never cracked a smile if she would have smiled her face would have broke terrible server I will never eat at another Frischs again
Did the brupper bar. Nice selection but the hot food was only mildly warm. Flavor was ok. My pancake was so hard on the bottom that I couldnt cut through it. Disappointed. So, I guess Ill stick with ordering a burger.
Food was fresh and delicious. We were impressed with our waitress too
Love the staff always so sweet and kind makes my day whenever we go. The dayshift manager Terri is always helpful and cheerful. Its a must try if in Eaton. 🥞🥓🍔🍟☕ Good atmosphere and always feel like home!! Love love love Frischs!!!!
We visited today. Love Frischs! But food was terrible today. Waitress tried very hard to make it right. Manager didnt want to accept responsibility at first. But relented.We will be back.
All was good. Seated immediately, waitress, was very nice. We had small fish sandwiches, which wrre hot and good. We shared onion rings, plenty for sharing, and shared a Hot Fudge Cake! Delish. Nice time, good food.

Always a fan. I dont feel I could offer an unbiased review of this location as I connection to it goes back 25 years but the fact that it is my go-to dining spot in Eaton should tell you something.The current (2020) menu is worth checking out.

Yesterday was the first time in this restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We had a good time with the good service, with the exceptional food and wine and with the honest charge. We will no doubt go back there soon.

You can only eat here happily if you arrive a good 45 minutes before you are actually hungry and enjoy waiting, completely unacknowledged, at a counter sporadically visited by somebody answering the phone and studiously avoiding eye contact. On the plus side you can listen to the kitchen staff and every now and again catch one of them peering out at you from the back. Eventually somebody will come to assist you and they will be careful to let you know through every means available (bar direct verbal communication) that your very existence is aggravating in the extreme to them. This is my experience at every one of my five visits. The last two visits the waiting has been my total experience as after 15 minutes we simply left again, I doubt anybody noticed.
Everyone was courteous & friendly. Didnt take long to get our food & it was good.The only bad thing was outside on the walk in front of the store. There were partially eaten suckers that I had to be careful I didnt step on. It was rainy out & they were messy.
Good breakfast buffet n Saturdays until 1 pm and in Sundays until 2 pm! Inexpensive as far as buffets are usually concerned. They even set out the salad things, in case you want something more brunchy.

First, I dont like having to order, and pay before being seated...Second, staff had good attitudes but they were understaffed which resulted in slow service..Frisches is trying to attract some business that they lost in the past but it will do them no good until they address the above issues...
The food is okay except when they mess the stuff up like seriously I go there almost every weekend and they always mess up my hamburger I wanted a hamburger with lettuce and Mayonnaise only, but some how they messed that simple order up and also one time when I called to talk to them bout one of my orders being incorrect the assistant manager called me by my first name like I was trying to hide who I was so I was like my name is my *First name* and *Last name* and she started accusing me of lying so I went down there and showed my food proving that my food was not made right and then I left never got any food never got anything for proving the restaurant wrong. So I could care less bout getting something in return, but the just need better workers and need to learn how to handle situations better. I plan calling the district manager and confronting that matter, until then I do not plan to go back. If I would of showed up in a real nice car and looked all dressed nice they wouldve been a lot nicer and would of acted like they cared, but to what happened to me was totally uncalled for. The Assistant manager was rude and hateful. Whatever happened to The customer is always right?
We come here often and havent had any issues however today, we waited 5 minutes in a fairly empty restaurant at 3:00 pm, then when we were seated we were so cold and uncomfortable, I was ready to just leave. Apparently, the staff was hot so they cut the heat. I suppose Im niave, I thought the paying customers needs should be addressed, comfort being one of those needs.
Long wait to be seated. We saw a waitress take a French fry off a plate in the kitchen that was waiting to be served to someone. We just watched a couple leave because no one would seat them.
Wasnt busy @ 1st, then 6tables after us. She forgot to bring our drinks and waited on 2 tables that came in after us. Our sandwiches didnt have hardly any sauce, that we could see. I asked for mayo and she preceeded to go to a table of 7 and take their order. By the time she got back my Club was not hot. I didnt quite like the sandwich either. Thought Id try something new.

2021-09-01Just stopped by Eaton Frischs drive thru for dessert, paid $11 for two pieces of pie and a drink. What a disappointment when I got home and saw what was given to me. I keep giving you all a chance but I think this may be my last visit.

2022-04-25Kimberly Keeton was our waitress at the window. I ordered a crispy chicken salad and I must say that was the BEST SALAD I think I’ve EVER HAD! Absolutely worth the price and Kimberly was all smiles and just the sweetest young lady I’ve met at that store! Amazing! Looking forward to our next visit and hope she’s our waitress again!

I would also like to say that our server, the blonde hair tall girl was super sweet too. Everyone at this store is always so sweet!

2022-04-29Was brought very old coffee, I sent it back and just drank water. My fish sandwich came out and the bun was really dark. I tried it anyway but the bottom bun was burnt, so I just ate the fish off of it, just not the bun. When she finally decided to come back, I had to point it out. I dont understand why the cook or the server didnt notice it either. She did give us 10%. My husbands food was fine. I could have waited for another sandwich if she had came back to check on us. I didnt because Im done with this location. Everytime we come in , theres ALWAYS a problem. We hadnt come in for a long time because of it.. we wont be back

2022-05-28On Saturday May 28th my cousin and I stopped at this location to eat. Our waitress was Jenny and she was awesome and the food was exceptional. I am originally from Preble County and I drive back home from Indianapolis and can always count on a Frischs location to be good.

2022-03-07The seafood buffet can hardly be called seafood. No hot potato of any kind was on the bar. Everything was empty. What was there was cold. Very disappointed. The menu has been reduced so much they dont really have anything except 4 different kinds of big boys.
